A Christmas celebration turned deadly in Gokwe after a violent altercation led to the murder of a 30-year-old man.

Bruce Kisimusi, 25, was arrested by police on December 17, 2024, in connection with the killing of his brother-in-law, Mthembisi Sibanda.

According to reports, the suspect brutally attacked Sibanda at Gababe Business Centre, striking him multiple times on the head and face with an empty bottle and a brick. The victim succumbed to his injuries while being treated at a hospital in Gokwe.

Kisimusi will spend Christmas in jail as he awaits trial for the murder charge. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the devastating consequences of violence and conflict.
