Terrence Mawawa, Masvingo
Masvingo Residents’ Trust(MRT), has urged the electorate to vote for candidates who will make an impact after being elected into office.
Speaking in an interview with ZimEye.com yesterday, MRT Advocacy Officer, Ephraim Mutombeni said the residents of Masvingo were fed up with empty promises from politicians.
“This election is not about political parties, rather it is about issues that are affecting ordinary residents.
We are therefore imploring residents to vote wisely.Gone are the days of political bootlicking. Let us focus on the real issues that affect local residents.
Our message is clear and straight forward, we want to elect community leaders into office,” said Mutombeni.
“We will soon hold a public dialogue to give aspiring candidates the platform to express their views,” added Mutombeni.
Independent aspiring MP for Masvingo Urban Constituency, Sam Chapfudza is expected to present his manifesto at the public dialogue.
