1. There are fuel queues everywhere – mostly desperate – with no deliveries expected
2. Electricity supply is now a luxury – availed for few hours every second day.

Water supply in the capital has gone below 30% of normal supply levels.

1. Nine suburban police stations in the capital city all share 2 old pick-up trucks.- as the entire fleet for them all.

We can’t even talk about government ambulances – NOTHING.

(Yet around 200 MPs from the rulling party drive around in brand new BRANDED double cab vehicles) .

1. The national airline is operating ONE aircraft.
2. Municipal workers in the capital city are complaining that they haven’t been paid since January
3. It is proving difficult to find half a kilometre portion of the road without a pothole.
4. Severe hunger is visiting parts of the country hit by poor rains (kwaBhasera, kwa Gutu the mealie crop stunted at 45cm above ground).
5. The cyclone Idai impact remains bigger than the truckloads of help by many wellwishers.
6. Our government hospitals have no basic, the very basic needs.

The private healthcare places are pricing their services in hard currency – way beyond the reach of most citizens.

1. MASS ACTION is looming and will be supported by many suffering Zimbabweans.

The pain is not felt by those in power – lucky lads.

But, THAT SAID – the escalated travel risk warning issued by the US government is not justified!!

The Zim risk has not reached any level warranting high level cautionary statements.
