By Own Correspondent| Following months of passport backlogs, the Registrar General’s office has announced new passport prices that take effect immediately.

Many citizens were left stranded as the Passport office was failing to meet demand owing to forex currency shortages for consumables used in passport production.

The situation was further worsened by the unrealistic price that saw a Zimbabwean passport costing the equivalent of 3USD for the ordinary one that came out after 6 months.

Zimbabweans in the diaspora will be expected to fork out more at USD318 whilst locals paying in local currency will pay ZWL 3180 for one that comes out after 3 days.
