List Of Zimbabweans Who’ve Marked Selves Safe In Capetown Fires

Several Zimbabweans marked themselves ‘safe’ after news sources reported that a brush fire of unspecified size was continuing to burn near the Rhodes Memorial, along Rhodes Memorial St. The Rhodes Memorial restaurant has been damaged, and people have been advised to evacuate the area. In addition, students were evacuated from the nearby University of Cape Town campus. The fire was at 6pm burning on campus grounds and had damaged the Special Collections Library. Additionally, two firefighters were injured. More disruptions were expected as firefighters tried to attend.


Winds in the area were at the time of writing reportedly calm, and relative humidity at 49 percent.
