The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on December 16, 2024, at approximately 1:50 PM at the 156-kilometer peg along the Harare-Nyamapanda Road.

Two people lost their lives, and four others were injured when a Toyota Hilux, carrying one passenger, collided with a Honda Fit that had five passengers on board. The impact caused the Toyota Hilux to overturn onto its side, while the Honda Fit also flipped but landed on its wheels.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
