We Will Not Let Mnangagwa Fool Us Again- MDC

Terrence Mawawa

The country’ s main opposition party, MDC has implored the people of Zimbabwe to reject President Emmerson Mnangagwa’ s high sounding manifesto saying it will never solve the country’ s mounting economic woes.

In a message posted on its Facebook page under the name Nelson Chamisa for President, the party said Mnangagwa and his cronies would not be allowed to hoodwink the suffering people of Zimbabwe.

Below is the statement posted yesterday:

To avoid wasting your votes on ED here are some of
his pronounced failures since the coup.

-Failure to curb bank queues.
-Failure to solve the cash crisis.
-Failure to procure water chemicals for clean
water supplies opting to print 2000 tonnes of t-
shirts and party regalia at a cost of 20 million
dollars.

-Failure to implement electoral reforms and
realigning of ZEC to constitutional corridors.
-Militarisation of ZEC.
Signing of air pie deals that never came to
fruition.

Militarisation of government institutions.
Failure to curb or reduce unemployment.
Failure to foster dialogue with all national
stakeholders to bring
solutions to our waning economy.

-Failure to prosecute perceived state looters.
-Failure to arrest or expose cash looters.

ZBC Lied Saying Chamisa Said He Will Bring World Cup To Zimbabwe

Terrence Mawawa

The state controlled media are desperate to tarnish youthful MDC Alliance Presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa’ s image before the much anticipated polls, political analysts have said.

The state media claimed Chamisa told MDC Alliance Supporters at a rally held at Mahusekwa Growth Point in Marondera, he would bring the soccer World Cup to Zimbabwe after winning the coming plebiscite.

The state broadcaster claimed Chamisa said : “If you give me the mandate to rule, Zimbabwe will be a shining example in sports. I will make sure the country hosts the Olympic Games and the World Cup.”

Chamisa is hoping to end Zanu PF’s strong grip on power as he takes on President Emmerson Mnangagwa in the much awaited plebiscite.

Chamisa’s Full Demands From ZEC

Free,Fair and Credible Election peace march – Petition

5 JUNE 2018

THE CHIEF ELECTORAL OFFICER
ZIMBABWE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
The Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs

RE: MINIMUM DEMANDS FOR CONDITIONS FOR FREE, FAIR AND CREDIBLE ELECTIONS
We, the undersigned, being members of the MDC Alliance- a grouping of political Parties intending to participate in the 2018 Harmonised Elections- under the leadership of Advocate Nelson Chamisa, and the people of Zimbabwe, hereby present this petition on our redline demands for a free fair legitimate and credible election.

On the 30th of May 2018, President Emmerson Mnangagwa proclaimed the 30th of July 2018 as the date on which elections for the office of President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Members of Parliament of Zimbabwe, Senators and councillors will be conducted (‘harmonised elections’).

1. It is not the intent of this petition to exhaustively deal with the legal framework governing elections in Zimbabwe. It suffices, for present purposes, to state that the contemplated elections will be conducted under the 2013 Zimbabwe Constitution, the Electoral Act, and Chapter 2:13, as amended, as well as the SADC Principles and Guidelines Governing Democratic Elections.

2. We contend that it is obligatory for this election to be held in full compliance of the Zimbabwean Constitution, the Electoral Act Chapter 2:13, the SADC principles and guidelines guiding democratic elections and the African Union Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance (ACDEG).

3. We have made our demands for a free fair and credible election known in our document published in March 2018 known as PEACE

Despite these demands, despite the law, despite verbal commitments to a free, fair and credible election, it is self-evident that the Zimbabweans authorities and the ZEC lack the desire, ability and political will of conducting a free, fair credible election.

It is in this context that we are exercising our peaceful right defined in section 59 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe by marching and presenting this petition on the following demands;

i) All parties, and candidates (and or their representatives) participating in the election, forthwith be furnished with an electronic copy of the provisional voters’ roll as is required by section 21 of the Electoral act Chapter 2:13.

ii) That ZEC, allows an inspection period of the voters’ roll pursuant to fresh registration during the voter inspection period 19 May to 29 May 2018.

iii) That an independent, external audit of the voters’ roll be commenced immediately after the inspection period mentioned above, with the auditors to be agreed by all stakeholders and shareholders.

iv) That there be full and proper agreement by all stakeholders on the procurement, security, quality and movement of all ballot material, in particular, the ballot paper.

v) That the ZEC immediately retires in its secretariat, any security personnel whether currently employed or formerly employed by the security services as defined in Chapter 11 of the Constitution.

vi) That ZEC immediately disbands the present national logistics committee and that there is agreement in the composition, recruitment, training and deployment of the new members of the national logistics committee.

vii) That the current accreditation committee be disbanded and that there is agreement on the recruitment, training and deployment of the new members of the accreditation committee.

viii) That there be full disclosure with regards to the custody and location of the BVR Servers and that all stakeholders be allowed access to validate the legitimacy of the data in those servers.

ix) That the additional 1500 newly created polling stations be and are hereby abandoned and that there be discussion and agreement on additional polling stations if need requires.

x) That all military personal currently deployed in the rural areas be and are hereby recalled and that there should be full and complete de-militarisation of the rural areas.

xi) That all international observers and monitors should now be allowed immediate access to Zimbabwe to monitor the election pursuant to the proclamation of the election on the 30th of May 2018.

xii) That forthwith, there must be equal access to and equal coverage of all political parties in the public media, in particular the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.

xiii) That there be a provision in terms section 67 of the Constitution to allow the Diaspora to vote even if it means voting only in the presidential election.

xiv) That there be cessation of the use of food and inputs as political weapons in this election

4. The holding of the 30th of July election is dependent on the conditions set out above

CHAMISA FULL TEXT: Mnangagwa sent me a message saying where are your guts? And I said my guts are on God Almighty!

BELOW IS THE PART TRANSCRIPT OF MDC ALLIANCE LEADER NELSON CHAMISA’S FULL SPEECH IN HARARE 5th JUNE 2018

Do not be afraid that they will cheat the upcoming elections… it will not work.

We have our reforms we want. 30 July is not just an election day. 30 July is a survival day…a day to resolve problems in the hospital… 30 July is the day we correct our education… a day to remember our war veterans….a day for the women of Zimbabwe.

How many are going with me to vote on 30 July?

So what are our issues? Where is my document? Our issues what are they? Boys and girls  .. How I wish Mdara Tsvangirai was here, this was his style. My Mdara used to sing this way: Munoziva, ndotya kurasika…. Ndoda Mwari muya muri wangu.  Ndakatengwa neropa raishe. Ndava wenyu Chose!

The story that brought us here is that we have won the election already …. and in the rural areas it’s now even worse for ZANU PF.

Now that we have won, we know there is a baboon.  This baboon needs to be caught beforehand.

The issues we want to fix have to nothing to do with parliament. ZANU PF tried to change laws. The Electoral Act they put in place, is disputed.

The ballot paper we demand that we know who has printed it, and what are it’s security features…. and so so forth.

Look now can you see how a thief operates?  We heard Mnangagwa saying security will not allow ballot papers to be inspected.  If that is the case we will ensure all processes are stopped.

He sent me a message saying where are your guts.. and I said my guts are on God Almighty.

This time we are not going to have a repeat of 2013. We are prepared of doing whatever is necessary and the good thing is we have the support of the people of Zimbabwe.

We shall go to SADC and to AU … We shall only have a free and fair election.

We shall inspect the voters roll to see the entries in there.

After  the election I will congratulate who has won. But obviously that will be me… so Mnangagwa will have to come to congratulate me. We will teach these people how to run hospitals, banks and so forth. There is this issue of radio and TV: ZBC is disgraceful, we respect the media but their lies destroy the nation. Why don’t you just report things as they are ?

I told you about coverage in terms of the law; they should do the same everywhere. If you do LIVE coverage of Mnangagwa you must also do Chamisa. I called Mnangagwa to a LIVE debate … he froze up.

The third issue is the matter of soldiers. We say they are professional, they belong to the country but we are saying please cause the soldiers not to meddle in the rural areas intimidating our people.

A person defeated at the polls is not dead.

The rigging they are trying is the rigging of your jobs and so forth.

When  they deploy polling stations…. (sic).

So we are using technology to monitor elections. We want the whole country to know where the servers are.

The other issues …We know observers are already here…

Today at 4 O clock the Commonwealth ambassador is meeting me. Yes I am not blocking the re admission of Zimbabwe into Commonwealth. In any case when I become president I am the one who will be dealing with the Commonwealth.

The issue of the diaspora vote the government knows this must be respected. Let us respect the issue of diaspora vote because it is not constituency based in the constitution. They are not respecting diasporans yet they are the same people funding the economy. Mr Mnangagwa be a revolutionary, a patriot. Mr Mnangagwa love your country… have a free and fair election. The demands are here on paper.  Mnangagwa must know this thing that the nation is the people’s. I saw ZANU PF people here supporting us because this is a national thing.

The other issues… The elections on 30 July will be only on  these conditions. If they are not met, we will let you know what we will do soon.

I thank you all for coming here in your crowds. No one came here because they were paid.

Claps hands for me for the people of Zimbabwe!

Chamisa Officially Takes Over From Khupe

By Paul Nyathi|MDC-T leader Nelson Chamisa has officially taken over from his rival splinter MDC-T leader Thokozani Khupe after he was confirmed as the leader of the opposition in the House of Assembly.

Chamisa was announced as taking over from Chamisa by the Speaker of Parliament last week. Chamisa’s appointment followed the expulsion from parliament of Khupe who was the Deputy President of the opposition party and leader of the opposition in the august house.

“I would like to inform this House that at its meeting held on 21stMay, 2018 the Committee on Standing Rules and Orders was advised by the MDC T that Hon. Advocate Nelson Chamisa is now the Leader of the opposition in Parliament,” Advocate Jacob Mudenda the Speaker announced in the house.

Mufakose MP Paurina Mpariwa was also appointed to replace Khupe in the Committee on standing rules and orders.

“At the same meeting, Hon. Paurina Mpariwa was endorsed as a member of the Committee on Standing Rules and Orders.  This followed the expulsion of Dr. Thokozani Khupe from Parliament in April, 2018,” said Mudenda.

Stop Fighting And Support Chamisa, Ncube

Welshman Ncube

By Paul Nyathi|MDC alliance spokesperson and coalition partner MDC leader, Welshman Ncube has told coalition members to stop fighting for positions and focus on drumming up support for the coalition’s presidential candidate, Nelson Chamisa.

Ncube said this while addressing an MDC Alliance campaign rally in Nkayi North, on Sunday.

Ncube made the call in the wake of fierce clashes among MDC Alliance members over sharing of council and parliamentary seats with Chamisa’s MDC-T accused of trespassing into constituencies reserved for other alliance partners.

Ncube said since 2000, the main opposition MDC had many legislators, but lost the presidential bid.

He said winning parliamentary seats does not change anything in the governance system.

“We have had opposition members of Parliament for many years, but nothing has changed. However, there is only one issue that can change our lives and that’s removing Zanu PF government, a government that perpetuates hunger, poverty and endless troubles,” he told supporters.

“That’s the key issue. If we do not change the State House issue, that is the President, we won’t be doing ourselves any favours. This year is Nelson Chamisa’s time; he is the one to use to remove Zanu PF from State House. [The late MDC-T leader] Morgan Tsvangirai birthed the idea of an alliance and re-united the parties.”

“However, when we are in the process of re-uniting there some among us who are losing focus and direction, a woman says ‘I want to be the president’. We are not chasing after positions, we will look into that after we liberate ourselves, only what we are for is removing Zanu PF from power on July 30 and have a better life,” he said in an apparent jibe directed at breakaway MDC-T faction leader Thokozani Khupe.

Khupe severed ties with the Chamisa a few months ago following an ugly fight over the party presidency.

But, Ncube described her move as divisive and meant to weaken the opposition and advantage ruling Zanu PF presidential candidate Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“This is not the time to be divided. Everywhere you go right now in Zimbabwe, the name Nelson Chamisa is abuzz. This is the opportunity not to miss. We should not be fooled by some people who will come to you saying ‘it’s my time to be president’.”

“Mnangagwa, who was a bus conductor, now says Zimbabwe is open for business, the key question is who had closed the country for business? We all know that he is incapable of doing that. He was Mugabe’s conductor for 38 years,” he said.

Uninformed Mthwakazi Party Barred From Using Prohibited Symbol

By Paul Nyathi|The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has barred Mthwakazi Republic Party from using its symbol which features an elephant.

According to Zimbabwe’s political parties regulations an elephant is prohibited to be featured as a political party symbol.

The following is the list of items prohibited from being used in political parties symbols.

1. A lion.
2. A bird of prey.
3. A rhinoceros.
4. A laurel wreath.
5. A leopard.
6. A cheetah.
7. An owl.
8. A sword.
9. A griffon.
10. A cobra.
11. A secretary bird.
12. A flaming torch.
13. An axe.
14. An elephant.
15. A buffalo.
16. A flame lily.

The MRP in a statement however expressed outrage at the ZEC claiming that the commission was sabotaging its campaign programs by barring them from using the symbol.

“On behalf of the National Executive Committee of Mthwakazi Republic Party, I announce to the media, our electorate and the General public that the party has recently availed a new logo for this year’s elections,” said the party spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo in a statement.

“The iconic and original MRP logo that bears an elephant will not be used as an election symbol, at the insistence of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.

“ZEC disqualified our logo, allegedly on the dictates of the electoral act that prohibits the use of an elephant as a party election symbol. We have changed our symbol under protest though, because ZEC has failed to give us the exact statutory instrument that criminalizes the use of an elephant as a party symbol. In the spirit of urgency, we have removed the elephant and replaced it with ‘ihawu’ the shield.

“We suspect the underhand shenanigans of the Coup Cabal that has infested ZEC, in this whole development. We have unearthed that the Coup government is working tirelessly and clandestinely to thwart the ascendancy of power by MRP in Matabeleland and part of Midlands.

“We invite our members accross Mthwakazi to take note of this development and to embrace it. We will continue to use the elephant as our party symbol, save for election purposes.”

5.5 Million People To Vote

Justice Priscilla Chigumba

By Paul Nyathi|The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has confirmed that 5.5 million people are in the voters roll to be used in this year’s elections.

The number increased after more than 200 000 new registrants were recorded during the voters’ roll inspection period, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) chairwoman, Justice Priscilla Chigumba, said.

“During the inspection period, we had 206 225 new registrants, with Midlands leading the pack with 39 079 people, followed by Harare which had 30 651,” Justice Chigumba said.

“Our number for registered voters is now slightly above 5,5 million from where we were. The total number of people who inspected the voters’ manually stands at 1 917 691. Those who inspected via bulk SMSs were above three million while those who used the USSD code *265# were in the region of 900 000. The platform which was not much active was the link to our website, which had about 50 000 people.”

Justice Chigumba said 46 377 people had transferred their polling stations.

“The number of people who registered afresh is about 8 684,” she said.

“Remember we had said our exclusion list had about 11 500 people and those who corrected their errors had to register afresh. Those turned away for various reasons were about 45 000. Some were turned away because they had no IDs, some had defaced IDs, some brought drivers’ licences, some had photocopies of IDs, some were under age while some were not citizens or residents of Zimbabwe.”

Inspection of the provisional voters’ roll ran from May 19 to 29 at 10 807 centres set up by Zec for the exercise.

Justice Chigumba said they were now focused on nomination courts which would sit on June 14.

“We are now going to the nomination courts and we are working on setting up those nomination courts,” she said. “We are working on training people who will man those nomination courts.”

On the final voters’ roll, she said; “Registration closed on June 1 and information is coming from provinces. After that we will correct the errors and finalise duplications and after that we will be able to avail the final voters’ roll.”

Zec is coming up with a new voters’ roll after taking over the process from the Registrar General’s office in line with the 2013 Constitution.

ZRP Blocks Mnangagwa Supporters, Backs Chamisa

By Farai D Hove| In a rare development, the first of it’s kind, the Zimbabwe Republic police has blocked supporters of President Emmerson Mnangagwa from their protest solidarity action scheduled for today.

The zanu PF supporters were planning to march in Harare at the same time that supporters of the MDC Alliance are holding their protest for electoral reforms in the capital city.

For years, the ruling party supporters have received favourable treatment by the police. But in what appeared like a sweet suckly turn Of events, the police yesterday declared that they will block zanu PF supporters the whole day. They were ordered to instead hold their own protest the following day, Wednesday.

Youth leader Godwin Gomwe said, “I am communicating with you all with regards to the solidarity march for peace that we had scheduled for tomorrow the 5th of June 2018.

“As a peaceful and law abiding Youth League we had taken precaution and sought police clearance for our solidarity march. However, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has turned down our request for a police clearance citing that a certain political party had been granted permission prior to our application. As a leadership we automatically accepted and embraced this decision by the police.”

Ngarivhume Endorses MDC Demo

Transform Zimbabwe is fully behind the electoral reforms demonstration planned by the MDC Alliance. We fully believe that for us to have free, fair and credible elections, the issue of reforms should take centre stage.

In this respect, I urge all Zimbabweans to come out and show ZEC and the world that we are serious in demanding for reforms.

This demonstration must be held peacefully to demonstrate our tolerance and seriousness on issues.

I will be part of this march.

GOD bless you and GOD bless Zimbabwe

Donald Trump Appoints Ambassador To Chamisa And Mnangagwa

By Farai D Hove| US President Donald Trump has appointed a new ambassador who will deal with Zimbabwe’s main political leaders, Nelson Chamisa and Emmerson Mnangagwa.

AMBASSADOR BRIAN NICHOLS

The new US envoy, Mr Brian Nichols, now replaces Ambassador Harry Thomas Jnr, who concluded his term of service a few weeks ago.

Trump appeared to continue the Barack Obama strategy of appointing African Americans as US envoys to Zimbabwe.

The development comes short in the heels, of a top US senator expressing disappointment with president Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration on its commitment to electoral reforms.

Nichols once served as US Ambassador to Peru, principal deputy assistant secretary in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, and as deputy chief of mission at the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia.

Nichols is a long- serving member of the US Senior Foreign Service and has served as an American diplomat since 1989. He is currently the Senior Advisor in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs.

UK Zimbabwean Arrested Over “Fake Tea” Khat

The Khat drug

A UK based Zimbabwean is one of two arrested over fake tea – the khat drug.

The man was arrested after being caught with a consignment of the dangerous drug —with a street value of $135 000 which was destined for Britain.

ABOUT KHAT – effects and risks.

The two main stimulants in khat speed up the user’s mind and body, like a less powerful amphetamine.

It makes people happy and talkative but can cause insomnia and temporary confusion. Chewed for a few hours it leaves users with a feeling of calm, described by some as “blissed out”. The drug could make pre-existing mental health problems worse and it can provoke feelings of anxiety and aggression. It can also inflame the mouth and damage teeth, and there are concerns about the long-term risk of mouth cancers. (Source: Talk to Frank).

ZRP Detectives arrested a UK-based Zimbabwean man Mufaro Shaba and Samaita Chinembiri from Nkulumane suburb for allegedly dealing in dangerous drugs.

The police said khat is relatively rare in Zimbabwe but is common in Eastern African countries.

The drug looks like dried vegetables (umfushwa).

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango yesterday said police intercepted the contraband after it was shipped from Ethiopia en-route to the United Kingdom.

She said police sources informed detectives that a consignment which was supposed to be collected by Chinembiri contained dangerous drugs.

“We have arrested two suspects in connection with dealing in dangerous drugs. Our detectives received a tip-off that a consignment of dangerous drugs was destined for Tshabalala suburb.

“The detectives monitored its transportation from Robert Mugabe International Airport in Harare to Bulawayo where it was due for collection by one suspect called Chinembiri,” said Insp Simango.

She said instead of Chinembiri receiving the parcel in Bulawayo, Shaba flew into the country to collect the consignment.

“Shaba lied to courier services agents that Chinembiri had visited his rural home and he would be collecting the parcel on his behalf. He was told to bring Chinembiri’s ID.

“He brought it later but it turned out that Mr Chinembiri was actually in the city. The two were arrested with the drug, street valued at $135 000,” she said.

The provincial police spokesperson said the duo is assisting law enforcement agents with investigations.

Insp Simango said police were concerned that hard drugs are being been intercepted in the country as they are being smuggled to other countries.

She said the latest incident comes barely two months after the police intercepted 3,14 kgs of cocaine with a street value of $470 000 bound to South Africa from India.

“We are worried that the country and its citizens are being used by drug dealers to smuggle narcotics. Zimbabwe has no history of dealing with these hard drugs and we believe drug dealers want to exploit the country’s reputation to smuggle these drugs without being anticipated in other countries. Ethiopia is much closer to Europe so the question is why someone would want to send their contraband via Zimbabwe?” she asked.

Insp Simango said police are alert and will continue to arrest such criminals, urging the city’s citizens to desist from accepting parcels from dubious sources.

A detective assigned to the police CID drugs station Detective Sergeant Lovemore Ncube said khat is hardly used in Zimbabwe. Its users chew its leaves especially when it’s still wet and get high.

The drug is said to cause euphoria and loss of appetite. Dt Sgt Ncube said it can be processed into powder and tablets which can be very addictive.

Shaba and Chinembiri appeared briefly before before Bulawayo magistrate Ms Adelaide Mbeure yesterday and were not asked to plead to charges of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs for the purpose of dealing in that drug.

Their lawyer Mr Byron Sengweni of Sengweni Legal Practitioners is set to apply for bail today. (state media/ additional reporting)

Prophet Rapes Woman 3 Times Non Stop

NATIONAL, BUSINESS, BREAKING

A 52 year old prophet from Bulawayo has been arrested for allegedly raping his 19-year-old patient three times in one night after she had approached him seeking treatment.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his victim but is a faith healer from Robert Sinyoka near Old Pumula suburb, allegedly raped the woman, from Woollendale, Umguza district, on May 12.

The prophet initially prayed for the woman and she went back to her place of residence.

He allegedly made a follow up on May 12 at the woman’s place of residence where he prayed for her and was provided with a hut to sleep in only to sneak into the woman’s hut during the night and rape her.

The man appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Mr Lungile Ncube charged with rape.

He was not asked to plead and Mr Ncube remanded him in custody to June 18 for provision of a trial date at the Regional court.

Prosecuting, Mr Nathan Marime told the court that sometime in early May, the woman fell sick and with the assistance of her grandmother who stays in Robert Sinyoka, they approached the accused person for faith healing.

“The woman was assisted with prayers and she went back to her place of residence. On May 12 the prophet made a follow up at the woman’s place of residence,” said Mr Marime.

“He prayed for the woman and after prayers he was given a hut to sleep in. During the same night when other people went to sleep, the prophet sneaked into the complainant’s hut where she was sleeping and gave her some holy water to sprinkle.”

Mr Marime said the woman retired to bed and the prophet joined her and had unprotected sexual intercourse with her three times without her consent.

A police report was made leading to the man’s arrest.- state media

Mnangagwa Meets British Investors

State Media – Zimbabwe is set for a major economic take off and will be among the fastest-growing economies in the world soon, a visiting investor mission from Britain said yesterday.

The delegation represents 21 organisations.

The group met President Mnangagwa and other senior Government officials in Harare yesterday.

President Mnangagwa said he was impressed by the size and diversity of the delegation, the first of its kind he had met in a long time.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, head of delegation Mr Robert Hersov, who is also chairman and chief executive officer of London-headquartered Invest Africa, said his team chose to come in early to explore opportunities ahead of an influx of foreign capital into Zimbabwe due to the positive investor sentiment.

Organisations represented in the delegation have interests in energy, mining, infrastructure development, tourism, hospitality and agriculture.

The delegation came as a follow-up to an invitation by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Lieutenant-General Sibusiso Busi Moyo (Retired), who attended yesterday’s roundtable.

“The President and his ministers were very open, honest and frank about the situation that Zimbabwe is in right now but also the potential that your country has,” said Mr Hersov.

“We are great believers in the country, the most literate country in Africa, (with) almost every mineral and metal and it has a very diverse and extraordinary investment opportunity,” he said.

“So the delegation that came here is quite a big delegation, 22 of us, and there are private investors and also senior decision-makers from very large investment companies.

“The opportunity is very broad. There are a number of people here that are in energy, mining, tourism and hospitality, the logistics sector and the agri-sector and Zimbabwe offers opportunities in all of those,” he said.

Mr Hersov said Zimbabwe was poised for massive growth and could be the best in the world.

He said President Mnangagwa’s administration was doing everything to make the country a destination for foreign direct investment.

Mr Hersov did not reveal how much they intended to invest in Zimbabwe, only saying those with interest in energy and infrastructure development were talking “big figures”.

He said the delegation would organise another trip to Zimbabwe after elections.

“I think this is the beginning of something big for Zimbabwe. I think Zimbabwe now, with free and fair elections coming up, the President has put his name to it and I am very proud of him for doing that. We think this country has huge upside. It should be one of the fastest growing countries in the world and for a very long time,” added Mr Hersov.

“There are also investors here who are interested in smaller investments – hotel and hospitality, logistics – it is a broad range of things and you know small investments can turn into big businesses,” he said.

“We are very happy to be here. You have a lovely country. We will be back with an even bigger delegation very soon, probably after the elections because you know the country has to focus on the elections now.

“There is a very positive mood among the investors and sometimes it is always better to get in before the rush of money comes so we like to be early.

“Listen, you have very literate and competent people and also there is an extraordinary potential reverse Diaspora of Zimbabweans living in South Africa, rest of Africa and worldwide, who would love to come home and they are being trained in different businesses. They have different skills and opportunities but they all want to come back home,” he said.

President Mnangagwa said he and his team, which included Vice Presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, were very frank with the visiting delegation about the situation in the country.

“I have been informing the delegation that I have been in Government since 1980. It is almost 38 years now. I have never seen such a huge delegation, very diverse, very global, coming together to little Zimbabwe in southern Africa,” he said.

“This is a great moment for this country. We have done everything possible to honestly brief them about our situation.

“The challenges which we face, the weaknesses which we have and the strength we have. I have exposed that to the entire delegation. I hope they will look at it and make their own decisions.”

Also in attendance were Ministers Simon Khaya Moyo (Energy and Power Development), July Moyo (Local Government, Public Works and National Housing), Reserve Bank Governor Dr John Mangudya and other senior Government officials.

LIVE- Zimbabweans Duped In UK

ZimEye.com today continues its investigations into the activities of a UK based funeral scheme running by the name Madzimai Akatendeka. This series of articles and programs will run for the next few weeks.

While the organisation has been praised by some in the Zimbabwean community, the Board Of Directors have been spotted on various occasions living a lavish lifestyle that has raised eyebrows.

All this also comes after the board leadership made fraudulent claims that the organisation is registered and regulated by the British Financial Conduct Authority.

Evidence at hand points that Madzimai Akatendeka is not at all FCA registered, let alone regulated by the FCA.

Contacted by ZimEye.com, the founding Director Fungai Maruta was asked- you claimed that you are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, are you truly registered with the FCA?

“Yes we are registered with the FCA,” she said.

When told that the FCA has revealed the organisation is not at all registered, she responded saying,”I don’t want to answer you now but you will see me in court if you want to find out that we are registered with the FCA.”

Chamisa Gets Sudden ZBC Treatment

MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa has received sudden ZBC profiling.

The development comes a day after a top US senator criticised President Emmerson Mnangagwa for failing to complete electoral reforms. Below was the full text of the ZBC article:

The MDC Alliance candidates, who recently won in the party’s primaries for the National Assembly and local council elections, have started mobilising for support in preparation for the July 30 harmonised elections.

The election fever is reaching a crescendo with all political parties now focused on winning seats.

In Harare’s Glen Norah constituency, winning candidates from MDC-T Chamisa faction primaries, are already engaging the community with a view of selling themselves ahead of other political parties.

Mr Wellington Chikombo squares off with Zanu PF winning candidate and Grassroots Empowerment Trust founder, Mr Alexio Mudzengerere for the Glen Norah seat.

ZRP Deny Zanu Pf Youths Police Clearance For Solidarity March

By Own Correspondent| Zanu Pf Youths Assembly solidarity march for President Emmerson Mnangagwa slated for June 5 2018 will now be held on Wednesday 6 June 2018 following the refusal by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to grant police clearance to the youth wing, it has emerged.

Below is the full text of communication  from Zanu Pf Chairperson Godwin Gomwe regarding the march which will now be held on Wednesday June 6 2018.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.

ZANU (PF) Harare Province Youth Statement on the Planned Peaceful March.

1. I am communicating with you all with regards to the solidarity march for peace that we had scheduled for tomorrow the 5th of June 2018. As a peaceful and law abiding Youth League we had taken precaution and sought police clearance for our solidarity march.
2. However, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has turned down our request for a police clearance citing that a certain political party had been granted permission prior to our application. As a leadership we automatically accepted and embraced this decision by the Police.
3. All bonafide members of ZANU PF are hereby instructed not to engage in any actions that may resemble a solidarity march tomorrow as such actions are not only illegal but are unsanctioned by your leadership.
4. Our planned solidarity march will be held on WEDNESDAY 6th JUNE same time same VENUE.
5. I take this opportunity to encourage all Zimbabweans to engage in peaceful and law abiding politics as we play our part in this new dispensation of mature politics. We urge as well, the ZRP to arrest without fear or favour all persons who breach the peace in our country.
6. To all ZANU PF cadres, let us keep campaigning peacefully and be vigilant in the face of a provocative opposition whose embrace of impending electoral defeat is unfounded attempts to discredit our elections without just cause. I thank you, Comradely yours

Khupe Alleged Violence Court Case Kicks Off

By Lionel Saungweme| The trial of twelve Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) members, accused of Contravening section 36(1) (a)(b) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23 (Public Violence), over the 4 March 2018 violence at the party offices in Bulawayo, has kicked off.

The dispute arose after Thokozani Khupe and Abednigo Bhebhe, respectively MDC-T Vice President and National Organising Secretary at the time, allegedly gate-crushed a provincial elections directorate meeting. A physical fight for the venue ensued between supporters of Khupe, who were holed up inside the party office and premises, with those backing MDC-T President, Nelson Chamisa, who were outside the venue.

During the fight bricks, iron bars and stones were used as weapons. Five office window panes valued at $150 were broken and five vehicles were damaged leading to the arrest of 12 party cadres.

A “Land Rover Discovery, Registration Number AEI 1831 belonging to the Parliament of Zimbabwe, used by Thokozani Khupe,” sustained a “damaged windscreen, rear screen and side windows valued at $2000. A white Honda Fit vehicle registration number ADP 0783 had its quarter glass smashed while a grey Honda Fit registration number AEE 2897 was left with a “damaged windscreen and two dents on the bonnet valued at $200.” A Nissan XTrail registration number AEO 6470 had a “damaged windscreen valued at $500” while a Toyota Fortuner also known as the Toyota SW4 whose South African plates read FV 31VN GP got a “damaged windscreen and all windows valued at $2500.”

A report was lodged with the police leading to the arrest of Mlandu Ncube, Gift Banda, Felix Mhaka, Kunashe Muchemwa, Raymond Dudzayi Gombedza, Robson Tera, Donaldson Mabutho, Michael Mubasa (sic), Takunda Madzana, Sibongubuhle Sibanda, Gono Erick and Edith Moyo. The 12 are respectively cited as accused persons in court papers.

At the start of trial complainant, Artwell Sibanda, took to the witness’ stand. He stated that a meeting was “called by national leadership, specifically the Vice President Thokozani Khupe and National Organising Secretary Abednigo Bhebhe.”

“I was tasked with security operations. We received intelligence that there were some people who were planning to disrupt the meeting owing to political differences amongst the top echelons of leadership.

“I received information that Accused Number 5 (Raymond Dudzayi Gombedza) and others had locked the offices and had instructed the security guards to leave the premises. At about 9am, I instructed Alfred Ncube to use an alternative key to unlock the gate. I also approached members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police [Police Internal Security Intelligence (PISI)] and spoke to Tapi informing him of the impending disruptions and he assured us that no violent activities will take place.

“Police structures started vetting people entering the venue of meeting. At around 11am, I noticed people from the Youth Wing and Women’s Wing and the Main Wing together at various points around the offices. I alerted the same PISI officers of the impending violent acts. When the meeting started Accused Number One (Cllr Mlandu Ncube) and Accused Number 12 (Edith Moyo) approached the offices from the intersection of 2nd Avenue/Fort St and were headed towards the office.

“As I approached them Accused Number One (Cllr Mlandu Ncube) whispered to Hon Dorothy Bhebhe to drive off as they now wanted to work. Accused Number One gestured to other people to follow him. I then moved to the offices where I observed Accused Number One (Cllr Mlandu Ncube, Four (Kunashe Muchemwa), Five (Raymond Gombedza) and others charging towards the offices.

“Accused Number Six (Robson Tera), Seven (Donaldson Mabutho), Nine (Takunda Madzana), Ten (Sibongubuhle Sibanda), Eleven (Erick Gono) and Twelve (Edith Moyo) were coming from the direction of 2nd Avenue. Accused Number Six (Robson Tera) stoned a white Honda Fit vehicle damaging its rear window on the right side in full view of the PISI officer (Tapi) I mentioned before. The rest of the Accused persons started stoning the security details who were at the entrance in the process injuring people, damaging cars including the one owned by Vice President Khupe.

“Leading the people who stoned the vehicle were Accused Number One (Cllr Mlandu Ncube). Accused Number Nine (Takunda Madzana) then went to the building adjacent the MDC premises and started stoning vehicles and people. That is when a Toyota Fortuner, which is a South African vehicle was stoned.

“Thokozani Khupe’s driver, Witness Dube, tried to flee in a Land Rover Discovery vehicle. He fled going to the 3rd Avenue direction. At the robots (traffic lights) I told him to turn into the sanitary lane. The lane was blocked by a kombi whose driver was nowhere to be seen. He has to use the 2nd Avenue entry to the sanitary lane where he parked the vehicle at the back door.

“When we instructed the VP (Miss Thokozani Khupe) to get into the vehicle she refused and the mob was also gathering blocking the alley (sanitary lane) and the driver (Witness Dube) drove off towards 2nd Avenue and in the process Accused Number Nine (Takunda Madzana) threw a stone that hit the driver on the forehead. The driver drove towards Fort Street and was received by a hail of stones until he decided to flee to make a report at Bulawayo Central Police Station.

“In the meantime, I instructed some security personnel to form a human barricade to allow Hon Bhebhe to drive off to Bulawayo Central Police Station. I also drove off to Bulawayo Central Police Station to make a report.

The trial continues.

Ndiraya Bemoans Poor Officiating

Terrence Mawawa

Ngezi Platinum FC coach Tonderai Ndiraya has expressed disappointment at poor officiating following his side’ s first defeat this season.

Ndiraya blasted referee Hardly Ndazi after his team succumbed to a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Bulawayo Chiefs on Sunday.

Madamburo also finished the match with nine men after Xolisani Moyo and Clive Augusto were sent off in the second half.

Augusto was the first to be expelled on the hour mark, and Moyo who came in as a 73rd-minute substitute lasted only nine minutes on the field as he was send off in controversial circumstances.

“The second bookable offence for Clive Augusto was too harsh, and as for Xolisani Moyo, he was not close to the incident, but he got a red card. I think it is a case of mistaken identity,” said Ndiraya in a post-match interview.

“The match official made terrible mistakes in a big game like this. I’m disappointed by what has happened today.”

The coach also questioned the referee’s decision not to award his team a penalty when Charamba was fouled inside the box a few moments before the home team took the lead from the spot through Gracious Muleya.

“So many things happened that I’m not happy with as a coach.

“There was a penalty decision that went against us when Charamba was clearly impeded as he was going for goal, but the referee thought otherwise,” he added.

We Underrated Botswana:Chidzambwa

Coach Sunday Chindzabwz

Terrence Mawawa

Zimbabwe Warriors gaffer Sunday Chidzambwa yesterday said the players made the game difficult for themselves because they underrated the Zebras of Botswana.

Chidzambwa indicated the players underrated Botswana and it was difficult to adjust after the Zebras proved to be a formidable force.

“The players were complacent, and this made it difficult for us,” said Chidzambwa.

“Botswana are a good team and their football has changed tremendously over the past years,” said Chidzambwa.

“I want to applaud the fans for their tremendous support. Last year they did the same thing. I urge them to come out in numbers once again in the next match,” added Chidzambwa.

Zimbabwe took a first-half lead through Evans Rusike but allowed Botswana to get back into the match in the second period.

The Warriors needed the brilliance of goalkeeper George Chigova who saved three penalties to progress to the semi-finals. They will play Lesotho on Wednesday.

“People should not be forced to pay radio and television licences. I can tell you that there are many areas that have poor transmission,” said Charamba.

“We expect all communities to be served by ZBC and those who are not receiving standard transmission cannot be expected to pay radio and television licences,” added Charamba.

Confusion Over Zanu Pf’s June 5 Solidarity March

By Own Correspondent| Confusion reigns in the Zanu Pf camp following the issuance of conflicting statements over the proposed June 5 2018 Solidarity march for President Emmerson Mnangagwa organised by the party’s youth wing.

ZANU PF Disputes Demo Statement

Simbarashe Gomwe

The statement claims that the initial statement is not an official communication from the party but from unscrupulous social media persons.

Electoral Reforms Protestors Insist They Will March To Mnangagwa

HON. Amos Chibaya

By Own Correspondent| Protestors for the MDC Alliance peaceful march will assemble at Africa Unity Square and march to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) offices before proceeding to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s offices at Munhumutapa Building in Harare to deliver their petition on electoral reforms, Amos Chibaya, one of the organisers of the protest has confirmed.

Addressing a press conference at Morgan Tsvangirai House in Harare today, Chibaya, who is MDC T National Organising Secretary dispelled speculation that the electoral reforms protestors would not present their petition to the President adding that the protest had been approved.

“The onus is now on citizens to make their voices heard by coming in their large numbers. The Constitution protects those who engage in peaceful protests and tomorrow’s event is one such.

We are saying the police has been notified according to the dictates of the law hence we are going to present our petition to President Mnangagwa,” said Chibaya.

Below is the full text of the press statement.

Free and fair election peace march on tomorrow

Tomorrow, we are holding a Free and Fair election peace march in Harare . We are meeting at Africa Unity Square at 9am, and we march together to the ZEC offices and present our fully comprehensive petition that speak to the fundamental reforms that need to be implemented before we can hold a free, fair and credible election.

From there, we, proceed to Munhumutapa building to present the same petition to the Mnangagwa administration. We will use Samora Machel Avenue.

We then march taking Second Street (Sam Mujoma) to Africa Unity Square where the people will be addressed by the people’s president, Advocate Nelson Chamisa.

This is a crucial time. We must be vigilant as we demand an Environment for credible elections in Zimbabwe.

The ballot paper remains a serious threat to Zimbabwe’s democracy. As long as the paper has not been scrutinized, and the printing of the ballot paper remains shrouded in secrecy, then there cannot be an election.

As long as the voters’ roll has not been audited by credible and an independent external auditor, there cannot be an election.

As long as the securocrats remain entrenched in the ZEC systems and interfere with our democratic right to choose a leader we want, and transfer power to the winning candidate then Zimbabwe cannot have elections.

As major stakeholders in the political affairs of Zimbabwe, we want to participate in the National Logistics Committee so that we run this election in a manner that will produce an uncontested outcome.

We are aware that Zanu has organized it’s overzealous supporters to infiltrate and cause havoc and paint us in the bad picture. We will not have that. We encourage the people of Zimbabwe to exercise restraint in the face of provocation. We encourage the participants not to participate in any act of violence, looting or damage.

As we have said, this is a Free and Fair Election Peace March.

Hon Amos Chibaya
National Organizing Secretary

MDC Alliance Coalition On Road To Collapse

Want out Jacob Ngarivhume

By Paul Nyathi|The opposition MDC Alliance coalition is looking more certain to collapse than survive with just under two months to the election.

The Alliance which is backing MDC-T President Nelson Chamisa as the presidential candidate is failing to come up with agreements in most of the parliamentary constituencies amid reports that the MDC-T is challenging candidates put up by other coalition partners.

Reliable sources within the mdct indicated to ZimEye.com that some of the MDC-T members are actually calling on the party leadership to withdraw the party from the Alliance and go it alone.

The MDC-T members claim that most of the Alliance partners’ candidates are too weak to contest in place of potential MDC-T candidates and are likely to lose to the ruling ZANU PF candidates.

MDC-T National chairman Morgan Komichi who is charge of the party’s candidates identification process last week confirmed that his party was failing to handle the alliance rebelling party members as the figures are growing every day.

The party sources who spoke to ZimEye.com said that some of the alliance partners especially the Jacob Ngarivhume led Transform Zimbabwe are also beginning to want out of the Alliance due to the failing relations in the coalition.

Electoral Reforms Protestors Barred From Marching To Mnangagwa’s Offices

By Own Correspondent| Protestors for tommorrow’ s demonstration organised under the MDC Alliance have been barred from marching to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s offices at Munhumutapa in Harare where they were hoping to deliver a petition compelling the Zanu Pf leader to prioritise electoral reforms ahead of the July 30 elections.

The demonstration, which concides with Zanu Pf’s solidarity march for violent free, free and fair elections organised by the party’s youth wing on the same day, June 5 2018 intended to march to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) offices before protesters would proceed to Mnangagwa’s offices at Munhumutapa Building in Harare.

Speaking to journalists at a press conference last week, Tendai Biti who was representing the Alliance spokesperson, Welshman Ncube revealed the route to be taken by protesters indicating that the demonstrators would assemble at Africa Unitg Square and march to ZEC where theu would hand in their petition and proceed to Mnangagwa’s offices to deliver another petition.

However, Home Affairs minister, Obert Mpofu warned the MDC Alliance against marching to President Mnangagwa’s offices arguing that the demonstration ceased to be peaceful if ptotestors went to Munhumutapa Building.

Below is the approval letter from the ZRP indicating the route to be taken by MDC Alliance protesters.

FULL TEXT: What Chamisa Says: “We Are Not Going to Be Included” In A GNU

Nelson Chamisa in London interviewed by Simba Chikanza

LIVEBLAST – refresh to watch

By Own Correspondent| Despite Presidential Spokesman George Charamba’s claims published in the Herald Monday morning, MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has said his party will not be included in a government of national unity.

Advocate Chamisa spelt this out in the below exclusive interview with ZimEye last month. He was speaking in response to a question on the possibility of a government of national compromise, should that be necessary at some point in the future.

He said, “it’s good to talk, it’s good to dialogue, but I don’t know what exclusivity you are taking about.

“We are not going to be included, we are going to be including.

“There is a difference between being included and including. When you are included, it means that you are not the winner. When you are including, it means that you are the winner.

“We are willing to be inclusive by including, but we are not willing to be inclusive by being included. We are the winners, we are going to speak to any Zimbabwean who is progressive.

“The future is non partisan, as I indicated I believe we must change Zimbabwe for the better, whether ZANU, MDC, the future cannot be about parties. The future is about a victory for the people of Zimbabwe. I think about Zimbabwe first. I think about Zimbabwe than any other.”

Jonathan Moyo Not On Interpol Wanted List

Jonathan Moyo

EXILED former Zanu PF politburo member and Cabinet minister Jonathan Moyo is not yet on the International Criminal Police Organisation’s (Interpol) surveillance radar, with the organisation’s visiting secretary-general, Jürgen Stock, suggesting that local police had to meet certain stringent requirements before their requisition for the politician’s arrest and extradition could be entertained.

Addressing journalists in Harare during his tour of the Interpol regional headquarters on Saturday, Stock could not disclose whether the Zimbabwe Republic Police had met the requirements.

Stock said during his visit, he had fruitful discussions with police boss Godwin Matanga, especially on strengthening co-operation in the fight against organised crime and cybercrime.

“Interpol, of course, is providing services with regards to fugitive investigations that we are offering to all member countries in the legal framework of our statutes and constitution. So, we have specific rules that need to be applied and so all the requests need to be compliant with our Interpol system,” he said.

Last month, top officials at the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) and the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) claimed that they had engaged Interpol to help in the search for Moyo, who is facing charges of defrauding the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (Zimdef) of close to $400 000.

Last December, President Emmerson Mnangagwa also claimed to have engaged Interpol to have Moyo brought back to Zimbabwe.

Stock said his organisation, which his a membership of 192 countries, will continue fighting the scourge of crime and terrorism, but declined to specifically comment on Moyo’s case.

“Arrests are taking place almost on a daily basis all around the world. We have to make sure there is no safe haven for criminals and terrorist, so this is a very effective system, but I ask for your understanding that I am not here discussing any individual cases,” he said.

Moyo’s name remains non-existent on Interpol’s wanted persons lists and the outspoken politician has remained defiant, downplaying the graft charges labelled against him as mere political persecution for his loyalty to former President Robert Mugabe.

Minister Resurrects, After Primaries Collapse As ZBC Man Falls

Disqualified Omphile Marupi

By Paul Nyathi|Minister for Provincial Affairs for Matabeleland South Abednico Ncube may have just found another lifeline after being brought back to contest as the ZANU PF candidate for Gwanda South constituency.

Reports from within the party in Gwanda indicate that Ncube has been brought back into the fray after his rivals in the primary elections held last month have been disqualified following submissions at the party head quarters.

Ncube last month dramatically collapsed and had to recover at the hospital after losing the party primary elections to radio personality Omphile Marupi who has since been disqualified after it emerged that he has not served the required five years in the party structures.

According to the party sources, Marupi somewhat escaped the original vetting process and should not have qualified to contest the primaries in the first place.

“We have got advice from the head office that Marupi should not have been allowed to contest the primary elections in the first place and so Minister Ncube could be the new candidate for Gwanda South,” said the source who asked not to be named.

“The party will be making an official statement on the matter soon as deliberations with Marupi and the district concerned are still being finalised,” said the source.

According to the source, the party head office has however, already submitted Ncube’s name in the list of names going for the nomination court set to sit on the the 14th of June.

Ncube has been making numerous shock political come backs after falling from grace. In 2008 he lost the Gwanda parliamentary seat before storming back in 2013 after five years in the political wilderness.

In October last year he was dumped by former President Robert Mugabe in a surprise cabinet reshuffle after enjoying running two Ministries at the same time. He was brought back to life when President Emmerson Mnangagwa took over from Mugabe a few weeks later.

Marupi could not immediately be reached for a comment.

Fired MP Happy To Leave ZANU PF, Wishes Loss For Mnangagwa

“The Black Man” Masango Matambanadzo

By Paul Nyathi|Former Kwekwe Central legislator Masango Matambanadzo affectionately known as “Blackman” partly due to his dark complexion, says that he is more than happy to be dismissed from the ruling ZANU PF and subsequent ejection from Parliament.

Matambanadzo opened up to weekend media following his dismissal from the party through a politburo decision last week.

The Kwekwe strongman reportedly shook President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zanu PF by organising a massive rally for the former President Robert Mugabe backed National Patriotic Front (NPF) in his former constituency of Kwekwe Central.

Several thousands of people turned up for the opposition rally in Mnangagwa’s own backyard — thanks to Matambanadzo’s popularity in the city.

Matambanadzo said that he was very happy to be fired from Zanu PF because he had gone through a lot of hell in the years that he had been in the party.

“When I heard that the Zanu PF politburo had made the decision to fire me, I was very elated because I had been tormented by the party. I felt like someone that had been released from a filthy jail because they used to treat me as if I was a smelly person,” Matambanadzo said.

“Since 2013 when I was elected MP up to the time that I was fired, President Emmerson Mnangagwa made sure that I was removed from Zanu PF party structures until I became an ordinary card-carrying member. It got to the extent that recently during the primary elections, my curriculum vitae was removed so that I could not contest.

“During my tenure as MP, I suffered a lot and I was barred from attending some events in Midlands, and whenever Cabinet ministers came to Kwekwe to officiate at company occasions, I was ordered not to attend.”

Matambanadzo alleged Mnangagwa had always wanted his relative, Cornelius Mupereri, to be Kwekwe Central MP instead of him. And, when he beat Mupereri during the party primary elections years ago, Mnangagwa allegedly began to treat him badly.

“I was always victimised for that to the extent that I was even barred from conducting meetings with councillors in Kwekwe. It was so bad that I was often arraigned before the courts on spurious allegations like that I had insulted a top official. I would be jailed for five to six days, and with such situations, why shouldn’t I be happy for being fired from Zanu PF?”

Matambanadzo said due to his ill-treatment in Zanu PF, he had no choice but to make a decision to cross over to the National Patriotic Front (NPF) led by former Mashonaland East provincial affairs minister Ambrose Mutinhiri. NPF is strongly linked to Mugabe, who was ousted by the military in November last year.

He said due to the nasty ordeals he encountered with Mnangagwa while in Zanu PF, he had no reason to wish him well in the forthcoming elections.

“If Mugabe was not removed in an undignified manner like what happened, Zanu PF was going to win the elections, but now there are serious question marks about their victory. Given the rough treatment that I got in Zanu PF and the way they removed me, why should I wish for Mnangagwa to win? In fact,I learnt through the grapevine that Mnangagwa personally ordered that I be fired from the party,” he said.

Chiefs Burst Ngezi Bubble As Dynamos Face Relegation

Bulawayo Chiefs’ Gracious Muleya celebrates his goal against Ngezi Platinum Stars

By Paul Nyathi|Lowly Bulawayo Chiefs finally brought to an end log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars’ unbeaten run in the Castle Premier League on Sunday.

Chiefs, who had gone for seven games without a win, defied all odds against a Ngezi side that finished the match with nine players at Luveve Stadium yesterday following red cards shown to substitutes Clive Augusto and Xolisani Moyo.

Chiefs beat the run away log leaders through a 30th minute penalty scored by Gracious Muleya.

Collin Dhuwa was the star of the show with a rare career hat-trick when Triangle sent lifeless Harare giants Dynamos into relegation fears.

The “Glamour Boys” paid a heavy prize for investing their trust in a rookie and out-of-sorts coach in Lloyd Chigowe to take charge.

He was in charge of the team in the absence of head coach Lloyd Mutasa who is away with the Warriors in South Africa.
DeMbare succumbed to their seventh defeat in 15 starts.

Dhuwa had only scored a single goal this season in the 2-1 win against Mutare City Rovers in Rusape before this game.

He scored in the 11th, 65th before completing the rout in the 82nd minute to give Triangle a 3 – 0 win over Dynamos.

Portraz Diverted $1mln to Chiyangwa ZIFA

Phillip Chiyangwa

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Potraz) director general Gift Machengete diverted over $1 million to Phillip Chiyangwa’s ZIFA.

This was all on the alleged orders of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The development has seen Mr Machengete denying diversion. He said the money was a loan.

The money was taken from the Universal Services Fund (USF) to bailout the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA).

Machengete said, “these accusations are unfounded and may be driven by mere speculation, lack of information or outright malice. For instance, claims that USF funded the Zimbabwe Football Association is baseless. No funding was ever provided to ZIFA by USF. Part of the confusion stems from the failure to distinguish POTRAZ from USF, which are two separate statutory bodies. Hence, where POTRAZ bailed out ZIFA with a loan for the national soccer team`s participation at the Africa Cup of Nations some sections of the society viewed this as USF funding non-core activities.

NewsDay quotes sources saying Philip Chiyangwa approached then Minister of Sport Makhosini Hlongwane seeking funds for the Warrior’s trip to Gabon. Hlongwane approached then Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa who then ordered Potraz to pay Zifa $1 million.

A source said that the money which is meant for telecommunications infrastructure development, was eventually written off by Potraz.

VIDEO: Drama As Mnangagwa Literally Boasts About Announcing The Election Date

By Farai D Hove| Zimbabweans at the weekend laughed at President Emmerson Mnangagwa after the head of state said words interpreted by many as a boasting about merely announcing the election date.

President Mnangagwa mlsaid this during his rally, last week.

Wrote one Twitter user, “Mnangagwa boasts about announcing election dates. Uku Madam ndivo MC!?

So what exactly did Mnangagwa say?

In the video below, Mnangagwa says, “Pamberi ne ZANU PF. Pamberi nekuhwina ma elections! Pasi ne mhandu.”

He then continues saying, “the day before yesterday, I spoke about elections and said they are on the 30th July, isn’t it?

“All these days before then, there were so many others who were saying in every place, elections, elections. No, this is all just mere talk. The Owner is us ( English – “me”).

“We are the ones who later on came, and now every one else is now coming bound by the date which we alone could announce. So where ever you are you must know, in those places nowhere people talk about what happens. Pamberi ne ZANU PF!, Pamberi ne ZANU PF!, Pamberi ne ZANU PF!”

IS SHE TELLING THE TRUTH? – Chigumba Says MDC Is Lying, Voters Roll Now LIVE Online

Priscilla Chigumba

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) chairperson, Justice Priscilla Chigumba has claimed that the opposition is lying when they say that the voters roll is not yet available.

Justice Chigumba was quoted by the syate media saying she is not at all denying the MDC Alliance access to the voters’ roll. She said the voters’ roll is available as a link on the ZEC website.

Justice Chigumba said, “the provisional voters’ roll is available as a link. There is a link that we have made available and anyone requiring it is free to access it and we have made this known to political parties in our regular meetings.

“All I can say is that the provisional voters’ roll is available and any other issue is sub judice because we have been taken to court over the issue of the voters’ roll.”

Chamisa: We Will Remove Bond Note On Day One

By Own Correspondent| MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has said he will remove the bond note on day one of entering into power.

Speaking in Mahusekwa on Sunday afternoon, Chamisa said “once we are in we are removing the bond note. And we will not delay in removing it. We will do it on the very same day and bury it. Once the bond not is gone we will bring for instance the US dollar the pulla and others …

“So the issue of fixing the money is key and important. I want to see products made in Zimbabwe including tomatoes and others.. I want to see massive production inside here that the Europeans will be enjoying… this is very simple it is in the seeing. ” FULL VIDEO

Mnangagwa Spox Speaks On Ballot Paper, Tells US Senator ED’s Got Nothing To Do With ZEC Business

George Charamba
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s spokesman, George Charamba has reacted to United States Senator Chris Coons who recently told the Chinese broadcaster, CGTN Africa that President Mnangagwa’s administration has disappointed on its steps to ensure free and fair elections.

Charamba said Mnangagwa has in fact taken steps to ensure peaceful elections and invited election observers.

Said Charamba, “First, Government has guaranteed a peaceful poll, which is why the President has been unambiguous in his call for peace as well as taking the unexampled decision to meet with opposition parties once the Nomination Court has confirmed who is genuine and who is not.

“The idea is to get all parties to commit themselves to a non-violent free poll. Equally, the security structures are under strict orders to undergird peace in the country before, during and after the elections.

“That’s a key responsibility of Government. Second, the Government has taken a decision to invite international observers of all colour and manner to ensure the whole plebiscite unfolds in the full glare of the world.

“What Government cannot do and will not do, consistent with the law, is to instruct Zec on how to run the elections. Maybe what is unclear to the Senator is that Zec is a constitutional creature whose independence is provided for in the law.

“Whether, when and how it releases the voters’ roll and in what format, is for it to determine without undue influence from any player national or international, inside Government or outside Government. How it deploys resources availed to it to arrive at a decision on who will provide voting material, including voting paper, ink and all the attendant paraphernalia, is its prerogative.”

Minister Who Violently Chased President Mnangagwa Out Of Zimbabwe Says MDC Is Violent

The minister who barely 7 months ago single-handedly humiliated president Emmerson Mnangagwa, has caused a stir.

He is the man who was part of the deadly terror network that terrorised the head of state, eventually chasing him out of Zimbabwe on the 7th of November – the same minister who announced Mnangagwa’s letter of expulsion from work, this time has come out announcing his claims that the MDC is a violent party.

Information Minister Simon Khaya Moyo said, “he revolutionary party learnt with utter dismay the conduct and threat utterances by MDC-T leader, Nelson Chamisa and his alliance partners threatening to shut down Harare and stop elections set for July 30 should ZEC fail to accede to their demands of electoral reforms.

“In fact the claims being made by Chamisa and crew are bare and not ground on the position of the law. What comes out clear is that the MDC-T is a violent and retrogressive party whose existence strives on chaos and suffering of the people hence the utterances cannot come as a surprise.

“These utterances are unfortunate, reckless, extremely irresponsible and uncalled for.”

ZRP Warns MDC Protesters Against Violence

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has warned protesters participating in tomorrow’s mass action against violence.

The ZRP commander  who is in charge of this year’s harmonised elections, Senior Assistant Commissioner Erasmus Makodza warned against violence.

Ass Comm Makodza said, “What we are saying as police is that some people might risk not voting while in custody. Some people might lose out for what they think they are fighting for while they are in custody.

“That message should be loud and clear. Generally, as police we are saying now that the electoral courts have been set up and the dates have been promulgated, anyone found wanting in terms of violation of the law should be accounted for and should be able to face the full wrath of the law. The moment someone commits an offence during those demonstrations, he /she should be able to account for his or her actions.”

Madzibaba Finances A LIVE Nightclub

Johane Masowe eChishanu self-styled prophet Stephen Mugariri popularly known as Madzibaba Stephen says while he does not own the controversial Executive Sports Bar and Night Club in Chitungwiza, he however finances it.

He said the night club is owned by his younger brother Lloyd “Lodza” Mutyambizi.
Madzibaba Stephen popular for his “go-back-to-sender-prayers” said: “The bar is run by my brother Lloyd but I am the one who put money in it. Personally, I own a fleet of buses, trucks, grocery shops and farms among other income generating projects countrywide but I put money in the bar just to empower my little brother.

“Lloyd was jobless and he asked me to rescue him from the jaws of poverty through financing his project —the bar — and as a responsible brother I agreed. The bar is his brainchild.

“Since I put my money in it, I often check progress of the project and I am glad the young man is running it professionally,” the 34-year-old preacher told the Daily News on Sunday.
“We have agreed that Lloyd will return my money back once the project starts realising meaningful profits.”

Mugariri, who is also popular for “locking spouses spiritually to save marriages”, defended his decision to finance the pub project.

“I do not see any problem here. As mutumwa, people often request me to pray for or bless their income generating projects such as piggery and tobacco fields. So should I refuse to bless them because their projects are deemed ‘unholy’ by the society?” the Mhondoro-born preacher asked.
The entertainment joint formerly known as Mbizi Night Club opened its doors to the public early this year and it had been rumoured that it belonged to Madzibaba Stephen.

The joint is known for hosting mostly ladies of the night. Mutyambizi told this publication that customers fell in love with the joint owing to its competitive advantages.

“We boast of spacious and secure parking lot, cold beers, and good food from our canteen which includes gango. We also have talented DJs.

“Apart from this, we have five clean and secure private rooms here which are for free. The place is frequented by commercial sex workers,” said Mutyambizi.

Of late, the joint is a favourite hunting ground for commercial sex workers.

Since February, the entertainment joint hosted artistes such as Suluman Chimbetu, Progress Chipfumo, Zoey, Beverly Sibanda and Andy Muridzo among others. Daily News

EXPOSED: Fake Minister Set To Be Named

An imposter posing as the minister of Lands and agriculture Perrance Shiri is said to be named after the government department discovered his machinations.

The individual, believed to be a male, is reportedly using the minister’s name to enforce transactions.

The Deputy Minister, Davis Marapira spoke of this as he revealed to the public that they should be aware of fraudsters pretending to be Perrance Shiri who are demanding money from unsuspecting land seekers.

Marapira said the fraudsters are using the number 0772944530, a phone number registered under Mercey Shiri who is not at all related to his boss, Gen. Shiri. He said the Minister does not charge land seekers administration fees or any levy for processing applications.

He said, “the modus operandi behind the fraudulent activities is that several individuals have been phoned by an individual or individuals purporting to be Minister Shiri or representing him. The bogus persons would communicate that the recipient’s application for land has been approved or that its processing is at an advanced stage before demanding money.” – state media

Chamisa Is Older Than Mnangagwa On Running A Party DO YOU DENY THIS?

By Dorrothy Moyo| MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa is arguably “older” than Emmerson Mnangagwa when it comes to experience running a political party (over 16 years at senior party level, while Mnangagwa is only 4 years old since his appointment in 2014). But Newsday publisher Trevor Ncube has claimed that Chamisa is too inexperienced to run the country.

He wrote on his portal on the 3rd June “Mediocrity is when you think a chap who has never run a tuckshop can suddenly lead 17 million people. Dream on.” PICTURE

The plan is that ZANU PF members will gather at Robert Mugabe Square at 10am on Tuesday 5 June.

Stop Denigrating Chamisa, Opposition Leader Tells Mnangagwa

Terrence Mawawa

An opposition leader has accused President Emmerson Mnangagwa’ s supporters of desperately trying to denigrate youthful MDC leader Nelson Chamisa.

Multi-Racial Christian Democrats (MRCD) leader Mattheus Guchutu has defended MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa saying that he
is like the Biblical Joseph. Chamisa is being persecuted for nursing a life changing dream, according to Guchutu.

Guchutu’s MRCD is part of the coalition MDC Alliance.

“I have not seen anything related to overstatements or lies associated with our Presidential candidate. If I had any particular problem with him, I would go to him privately and say please improve on this and that.

Even in the bible, most of the
people who did very well saw beyond the current events.

You can talk of Joseph; he was called a dreamer and through those dreams, he became the first Prime
Minister of Egypt,” said Guchutu.

Jonathan Moyo Coming Back Home?

Terrence Mawawa

A columnist with a State controlled paper who writes under the
pseudonym Bishop Lazarus has claimed that exiled
G40 front man Jonathan Moyo is on his
way back home.

Bishop Lazarus, who is widely believed to be Presidential
spokesperson George Charamba has also said former President Robert Mugabe’s nephew, Patrick Zhuwao may be left isolated.

“Tyson was very helpful and useful in clearing hazy pictures about the

Jonathan Moyo

great escape. Now he is back to
face some music. Not very
loud music by the way. On
the other hand, Prof Moyo of
the “it’s cold out there”
fame is also on his way
back home.

Yes, dear congregants he is on his
way back. Don’t be fooled by all that fake bravado. Lots of reaching out and selling out going on behind the scenes.

The Prof was just furious that he was beaten to the game by Tyson.

So, yeah the Prof is on his way back
— not with his tail between the legs.
True, let me leave this story
for now.
…But then dread Patrick Zhuwao is totally in the dark,” claimed Bishop Lazarus.

Zanu PF Activist Appointed Chief Wedza

Terrence Mawawa

A declared Zanu PF activist has been appointed the new Chief Wedza in Zvishavane as the ruling party seeks to consolidate its support base in the area before the coming elections.

Ruling party insiders have indicated that Kennias Mnyamani Moyo is a Zanu PF activist. He was installed as Chief Wedza last week at a ceremony officiated by Midlands State Minister Owen Ncube.

Moyo’ s appointment is meant to drum up support for the ruling party because traditional leaders play a vital role in campaigning for Zanu PF, political observers have said.

“Moyo will obviously play a leading role in campaigning for the ruling party. This is a strategic move meant to drum up support for Zanu PF,” sources in Zvishavane said last week.

MDC MP Assaulted In Intraparty Violence

MDC-T Supporters

Terrence Mawawa

An MDC MP was allegedly assaulted by party youths as supporters clashed over selection of candidates.

“Honourable Prosper Mutseyami was attacked in Mutare yesterday.

The candidate selection programme was disrupted by senior party officials,” party sources alleged.

” Chairman Chimhini, Lynette Kore, Joyce Makonya, Wirimai Mkwishu, Itai Masaka, Tatenda Nhamarare and one Mr Tekeshe decided to defy the national directive and went on to conduct primary elections in all the wards in Chikanga/Dangamvura including ward 17 – which had already been done a week earlier.

As if that was not enough the cabal held a meeting at a private venue and planned a manhunt to attack the national leaders who had been deployed to conduct the election the next day.

More so they planned to attack fellow party officials, Hon Gonese and Hon Mutseyami.

Later in the evening they deployed thugs who followed the national team to town. They were driving a white Honda CRV,”added the party sources.

When Hon Mutseyami went outside to answer his phone he was hit on the forehead with an iron rod by an unknown man and he collapsed.

The thug took his car keys and his Iphone7 and drove off at high speed,”added the sources.

IS HE TELLING THE TRUTH? – Makandiwa Says I Never Received $1 mln Cash

UNITED Family International Church founder Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa has hit back at business couple Mr Upenyu Mashangwa and his wife, Blessing, saying the claim that they paid US$1,1 million in tithes and offerings is a “blue lie”.

In an application filed last week at the High Court for dismissal of the Mashangwa couple’s US$6,5 million lawsuit, Prophet Makandiwa and his wife, Ruth, said the case lacks merit.
The UFIC leader’s lawyer, Advocate Lewis Uriri urged the court to protect itself from abuse at the hands of the litigants (Mashangwa couple) who “brought the suit without serious intention to obtain relief”.

“Equally groundless and inconsistent with common sense is the respondents’ allegation that they made contributions to the tune of US$1,1 million into the third applicant (UFIC) as led by the first and second applicants (the Makandiwas).

“It is submitted and therefore trite to note that tithes and offerings constitute 10 percent of the giver’s income. In the instant, if the allegation by the respondents is true that they gave US$1,1 million as offerings, it automatically turns out that their net worth was above US$11 million as at the time they disassociated from the third applicant. It is contended that it is impossible that the respondents could be having that net worth.

“In the circumstances, it cannot be gainsaid that the allegation by the respondents to the effect that they paid US$1,1 million is a blue lie. The foregoing facts evince that the respondents and their company were afflicted with penury during the time they allege to have contributed or gave as tithes and offerings to the sum of US$1,1 million.”

Prophet Makandiwa said the lawsuit to recover the tithes lacks seriousness and is meant to harass and annoy him.

Said the UFIC leader: “The case is an annoyance and abuse of the court. The allegation made therein falls outside the region of probability and therefore ought to be dismissed.”
The preacher argued that tithes and offerings are biblical concepts and an act of worship that edifies the relationship between a believer and God.

Prophet Makandiwa stated that tithes and offerings are an act of faith given voluntarily.
“…those were free will offerings not recoverable from anyone unless if the respondents (Mashangwas) wish to try the impossible and get that from God, the receiver of the offerings,” he said.

On the claim that the UFIC leader pay Mr Mashangwa US$700 000 for damages over a debt cancellation prophecy involving a house in Marlborough, Prophet Makandiwa said the house was never sold by a local bank as alleged.

In his court application for dismissal, Prophet Makandiwa said the Marlborough house was sold to Nemaji Family Trust for US$800 000 on February 29, 2012, before it was sold to Prophet Walter Magaya and his wife, Tendai, who then obtained bank loans using the house as security.
“The principal case is so manifestly groundless that it suffers from predictable failure. It does not accord with common sense and is unworthy of serious consideration. The case deserves to be summarily dismissed in terms of Order 11 Rule 75 (1) of the High Court Rules 1971.”

Prophet Makandiwa denied that he recommended Mr Tichawona Mawere as a great lawyer to the Mashangwa couple.

“It is denied that the applicants (Makandiwas) ever made representations to the respondents (Mashangwas) to the effect that Mawere was a great lawyer who could never lose a case. The truth of the matter is that the prophecy given by the applicants concerning Mawere related exclusively to their family problems. It related to Mawere’s use of their legal skills at home, particularly that they used their legal skills in resolving their family disputes,” he said.

“The couple lies that their business closed down due to defamatory statements (by Prophet Makandiwa). Evidence on the company’s Facebook account suggests otherwise and affidavits by Takawira Nzombe and Mrs Winnet Nyakabawo who purchased products from the said business show that no such closure took place.

“(Prophet) Makandiwa seeks the dismissal of the lawsuit on the basis of the claims’ falsehoods and the frivolous and vexatious nature of the entire lawsuits. – state media

WHAT’S GOING ON NOW? – Chinoz Releases Own Music Album

State Media – The imprint of a politician cum comedian has started to be felt in the music industry with Joseph Chinotimba and his musical outfit, the Bulawayo Logistics Band staging popular performances at his political rallies in Buhera South.

Joseph Chinotimba

Chinotimba, who was recently endorsed as the Ambassador of Happiness, kept thousands of ruling party supporters on their toes as he performed at the launch of the party campaign at Mutiusinazita in a constituency he represents in parliament.

“I joined the music industry by default when I went to buy a PA system in South Africa and a friend urged me to buy complete band instruments, and that was the start of my music career,” he said.

The legislator added that his entry into the music industry is proving to be easy as he has been able to compose a number of songs, few weeks after joining the entertainment industry and expects to release an album in the next few months.

“Life in the music industry is so interesting and I am working towards producing an album within few months to come,” he said.

Chinotimba said he will work with popular musicians as he perfects his productions and has already composed songs that include President Mnangagwa, Kurota Hope and Murudo that are part of the Sungura genre.

With his main massage being political, Chinotimba seeks to join great political commissars like Elliot Manyika, who used the same methods to reach out to party supporters and expand his campaign strategies.

Mnangagwa Quotes The Bible To Explain Elections

President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Sunday published a scriptural quotation from the Bible to “encourage” peace during the preparations for the upcoming elections.

He wrote, “as we enter the official campaign period, let us remember to put peace, love and unity before all else.

As we are taught in Galatians 5:14 “For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’.”

Have a Blessed Sunday!”

Doctor Circumcises 13y Old For Money

Howard Mission Hospital is presently in the eye of a legal storm as its chief medical officer Dr Aaron Museka is facing a $50 000 lawsuit for ‘improper conduct’ and ‘negligence’ after a minor was recently circumcised at the hospital without his parent’s consent.

But most interestingly, the personnel from the hospital who recruited the minor from Majome Primary School in Mazowe district for the procedure were reportedly ‘agents’ of a non-governmental organisation, Population Services International (PSI), who were paid commission for the people they bring in for circumcision.
Lawyers representing parents of the minor, Mutamangira & Associates, have since written to Howard Mission Hospital demanding $50 000 for the “shock, pain and suffering” caused by the operation.
It is believed that sometime in January, personnel from the hospital, who purported to be working for a programme under PSI, approached Majome Primary School and handed out consent forms to learners, including the 13-year-old boy, which were supposed to be signed by their parents or guardians for the procedure to be undertaken.

However, the minor’s parents withheld their consent. But on January 29, the boy was circumcised anyway and had to be taken home by an ambulance since he could not walk.

“On asking the ambulance personnel, it was discovered that the minor child had been circumcised by Dr Aaron Museka, who is a medical practitioner employed at Howard Mission Hospital.

“Our client’s child went through a horrendous experience, which saw him failing to walk, and to go to school. This clearly speaks to a case of serious assault and intrusion into our client’s child’s privacy,” said the lawyers in a recent letter of demand addressed to Dr Museka, and copied to Health and Child Care Minister Dr David Parirenyatwa, Health Professions Authority of Zimbabwe, PSI, and Medical and Dental Professions Council of Zimbabwe.
When the concerned parents made enquiries, Dr Museka reportedly undertook to investigate the matter.

The parents were later called by a female doctor from Concession District Clinic, who promised to give them feedback within three weeks. To date, nothing has happened.

However, the lawyers maintain that there was nothing urgent to warrant the procedure without the parent’s consent.

In any case, the lawyers claim, Section 76 of the Children’s Act specifically stipulates that where consent to conduct a medical procedure is withheld, the operation can only proceed after applying and getting approval from the Magistrates’ Court.

They therefore contend that in light of the current circumstances, the circumcision not only showed “improper conduct”, but was “also criminal in nature”.

“The law is very clear on such conduct by medical practitioners. It has been part of our law that a patient must provide informed consent for all medical treatment (diagnostic or therapeutic)on him or her. In our client’s case, the child had no capacity at law to consent to such an intrusive and irreversible procedure,” said the lawyers.
“We have been instructed to demand, as we hereby do, payment of damages suffered by our client in the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50 000) for the shock, pain and suffering caused by your conduct, within seven days of your receipt of this letter, failure of which we shall approach the High Court for relief.

“Our client is also amenable to negotiation due to the sensitive nature of this case. If we do not hear from you within the specific periods, we will assume that you are not interested in a settlement, and we will proceed with litigation whose costs are by no means insignificant.”
In an interview with The Sunday Mail, Dr Museka confirmed the incident, but denied carrying out the procedure.

“Yes, the child was circumcised at the hospital, but it was not me. The people who are working on the lawsuit lack ground work because they are saying it’s me as I am the chief medical officer, and I am sure they do not know there are other practitioners capable of circumcising as well at the hospital.”
He however could not say who had carried out the operation.

On a standard male circumcision consent form, there are three sections that have to be signed by the parent, guardian and medical practitioner, especially if the patient is under 18 years.

There are also questions on whether standard procedures, which includes group counselling, one-on-one sessions and a full body check-up were followed before the circumcision.

After the procedure has been administered, there are 15-minute post interval check-ups for 30 to 45 minutes, including education on how to maintain an infection-free wound. – state media
