ED Meets Party Leadership, As Mugabe’s Party Unveils Leadership And Regalia

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is currently meeting the Zanu PF politburo at the party headquarters, while his former boss President Robert Mugabe’s party launches its campaign.

The National Patriotic Front (NPF) today came out to expose to the public for the first time, its National Executive committee team doned in colourful yellow regalia with Mugabe and the late Joshua Nkomo’s face on it.

The party which is said to comprise of axed G40 members, including Sarah Mahoka and former minister Eunice Sandi Moyo, was officially launched in Harare today. The NPF led by Gen. Ambrose Mutinhiri has registered with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and will field candidates in the forthcoming harmonised elections.

Issues on today’s agenda of Mnangagwa’s politburo meeting include the party’s manifesto, party regalia, the cell verification exercise that was conducted countrywide and CVs for aspiring Zanu PF councillors, members of the National Assembly, Senate members and any other issues that may arise.
