Own Correspondent|Zimbabwe Teachers Association and the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe have issued a joint media statement calling off the one week teachers strike action.

According to the unions, they have called off the strike because of security fears on their members.

The announcement which featured on the official ZIMTA Facebook page has attracted a wide range of condemnation from members who are accusing the unions of selling out.
