Musona Triumphs

FIFA has lifted a transfer ban against Al Tai after the Saudi Arabian club ironed out issues with Knowledge Musona and two other former employees.

The Saudi First Division side was engaged in a contractual dispute with Musona, Brazilian player Eduardo Dudu and former coach Pepa.

The former Warriors international played for the team between 2021-23, when they were still in the Saudi Pro League.

In a statement posted on their official X account, Al Tai said it has fulfilled its obligations in the issues against Musona and Dudu, while the club won a case against Pepa following an appeal before the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber.

The statement reads: “Al-Tai Club has completed all the cases related to it in the International Federation of Association Football FIFA, as Al-Tai won the case filed against it in the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber by the Portuguese coach Pedro ‘Pepa’ Filipe.”

The club added in its statement: “Al-Tai has completed two other cases, the first concerning the Brazilian player Eduardo Dudu, and the other concerning the player Knowledge Musona.

“Praise be to God, all requirements related to the two cases have been completed, and they have been closed with the responsible authorities in the International Federation.

“Thus, Al-Tai has fulfilled all its legal obligations towards these previous obstacles, and the registration ban imposed on the club has been lifted, and there is nothing preventing it from registering and contracting with distinguished cadres during the coming period.”

Nine Teenagers Nabbed Over Murder

Nine teenagers appeared at the Chinhoyi Magistrates Court this Wednesday where they have been charged with murder after they allegedly assaulted a man who had gone for laundry at Hunyani River on Saturday.

The court heard that on the 20th of this month at around 4 pm, at Rusununguko high-density suburbs of Chinhoyi, a team of boys aged between 15-18 years, had an altercation with the now deceased, Passmore Moyo and his friends at Hunyani River, leading to a fight.

It is during the fight that one of the accused persons is alleged to have struck Moyo on the face and forehead using farm bricks.

After the incident, the accused fled the scene, while Moyo was taken to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital where he died upon admission.

The accused persons were arrested afterwards and found in possession of a stolen radio receiver.

They were remanded in custody to the 6th of August for routine remand.

Zimbos In Fear As SA Intensifies Crackdown On Illegal Immigrants

South Africa- Police and Home Affairs officials have intensified their raids and arrests of illegal immigrants, including Zimbabweans.

Many illegal migrants who fled economic hardships now face the prospect of being uprooted again.“I came to South Africa seeking a chance to rebuild my life,” said an undocumented migrant, Hardlife Shoko* from Shurugwi. Shoko, who does odd jobs and sometimes works on farms, claimed, “Exploitation is real there because the farm owners say we don’t earn much since we don’t pay rent while working there.”
“I live in constant fear that I will be caught and deported. It’s a daily struggle to avoid attention but continue working,” he added.
Nothando Sibanda*, who waits tables at an eatery, pleaded for sympathy from South African authorities and requested time to regularize their status.
“We understand that the law must be enforced, but can they also understand our background and lives? We just need to work, survive, and support families back home,” she said.
South Africa’s Home Affairs Minister said in his maiden speech in Parliament that, while extending a temporary concession for foreigners with pending visa applications, including those appealing against rejections, until December 31, 2024, the country still needs to do much more to combat illegal immigration.
“This problem needs to be tackled in a sustained, integrated, and collaborative way. In the coming year, Home Affairs will increase the number of inspections at restaurants, spaza shops, farms, and mines by over 50 percent to take action against people illegally employed, including through deportations,” Schreiber said.
Schreiber noted that these inspections would be most effective when done in collaboration with other departments, such as Employment and Labour, SAPS, and local government.
“I will be reaching out to colleagues in the relevant departments to conduct joint operations to maximize our ability to hold everyone involved in illegal activities to account.”
Recently, Gauteng Social Development Member of the Executive Council (MEC) Faith Mazibuko also issued a stern warning to landlords across South Africa, stating that upcoming police raids will target undocumented tenants and that landlords could face arrest if found harboring such individuals.
“Residents across South Africa who have undocumented tenants need to take immediate action. When the police commence with the raids, arrests will be made, and it will include the landlord. It is your duty as a landlord to request all documents of your tenants,” Mazibuko was quoted.
“There is now a new tendency where people are rounded up at their places of work or residences and taken to police stations where they are asked to pay hefty sums of money – R3,500 or so – for their release,” he said. “It appears as if migrants are being used by SAPS for fundraising purposes.”
Mabhena noted that while South Africa has the right to arrest anyone violating immigration laws, the best solution is to document the undocumented.
“South African middle class and big companies employ migrant labor and exploit them. We believe the best way to deal with migrant labour is to document the undocumented,” he said. “The arrests of undocumented migrants are not new. It has been happening since 1994, even during the apartheid regime, but it is not the solution.”
Mabhena stated that documenting migrant workers in South Africa is a viable solution for all parties involved.
“The 2010 example is a good one. Those who did not have documents were granted them, and we saw a reduction in arrests of migrants, particularly from Zimbabwe,” he said.

Moses Mpofu In Another US$9 Million Tender Scandal

By Municipal Reporter- A senior Harare City of Harare Council official has been arrested for giving a US$9 million tender to Moses Mpofu.

Harare City town clerk Hosiah Chisango alleged unprocedural awarding Mpofu a US$9.2 million tender without following due process.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) confirmed Chisango’s arrest.

Chisango is accused of awarding the multi-million dollar tender to Juluka Enndo Joint Venture, a company owned by businessman Moses Mpofu, without following due process. Said ZACC:

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has arrested Harare City Council (HCC) Town Clerk, Engineer Hosiah Chisango on charges of criminal abuse of duty.

Allegations are that Eng. Chisango acted in connivance with four other officials who are already in custody and awarded a streetlights tender worth over US$9.2 million to Juluka Enndo Joint Venture, a company owned by businessman Moses Mpofu, without following due process.

Chisango was expected to appear in court on Thursday over the corruption allegations.

Mpofu and Mike Chimombe, both linked to ZANU PF, are languishing in remand prison following their arrest over alleged embezzlement of funds allocated through a goat supply tender by the government.

The duo allegedly secured a multi-million tender to supply goats under the Presidential Goat Pass-on Scheme.

However, instead of fulfilling their agreement, they allegedly used the funds for personal gain, purchasing luxurious vehicles and houses.

Pro-Mnangagwa War Vets Bury Chiwenga

By Political Reporter- A faction of war veterans aligned with President Emmerson Mnangagwa has publicly expressed their support for the Zanu-PF leader to remain in office beyond his current term, which ends in 2028.

This faction was notably vocal during the height of the G-40 and Lacoste era, advocating for Mnangagwa’s presidency. They have now urged Mnangagwa to reconsider his decision not to seek re-election once his current term expires.

These statements contradict an agreement made between Mnangagwa and the military junta prior to the ousting of Robert Mugabe in a military coup.

It was agreed that Mnangagwa would serve for two terms and then hand over power to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, who led the 2017 coup that removed Mugabe from power.

According to the Constitution of Zimbabwe, a president is limited to two terms, making it illegal for Mnangagwa to seek a third term.

Earlier this month, Mnangagwa reiterated his commitment to respecting this constitutional limit.

Despite this, Zanu-PF Secretary for War Veterans, Ex-Political Prisoners, Detainees, and Restrictees Douglas Mahiya told ZBC on Wednesday that the war veterans’ league would try to persuade Mnangagwa to continue in office beyond 2028.

Mahiya argued that extending Mnangagwa’s presidency would allow him to fully implement his Vision 2030 agenda, which aims to transform Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income society.

Mahiya stated:
“The question is not whether he wants to rest or not; we can beg him to stay so that we benefit from his capabilities. We don’t comply with individual thinking or expressions; we stick to the original principles of the revolution.”

The Zanu-PF Masvingo Province was the first to publicly call for Mnangagwa to stay in power beyond his current term, followed by the Zanu-PF Midlands Youth League.

Since then, youth leagues in several other provinces, including Mashonaland East, Bulawayo, and Matabeleland North, have also requested that Mnangagwa disregard the constitutional two-term limit and continue as president.

Inconsistent Bosso Drop Crucial Points

Simba Bhora moved into second place after edging Highlanders 2-1 in a Castle Lager Premiership Matchday 20 encounter played at Wadzanai Stadium on Wednesday.

The Shamva-based side came from behind to snatch the maximum points and bounced back to winning ways.

Bosso surged ahead in the 21st minute through Marvelous Chigumira’s effort.

The goal came just moments after Tymon Machope had been denied by the woodwork at the other end.

Machope’s another attempt on minute 36 finally secured a goal for the hosts.

A lengthy stoppage followed as the visitors protested at the referee for allowing the equaliser, claiming an offside in the build-up.

The chaos resulted in a red card issued to Highlanders assistant coach Agent Sawu.

Simba got the winner in the second half through Walter Musona, who had another goal disallowed for an offside inside the final quarter of the match.

At Bata Stadium, there was another lengthy stoppage in the match between TelOne and Green Fuel.

The stoppage came after Greenfuel refused to accept the referee’s decision to award a late penalty to the WiFi Boys.

The visitors were leading 1-0, and when the play resumed, they managed to deny Telone from the spot and preserved their lead.

Elsewhere, Ngezi Platinum drew 0-0 against ZPC Kariba, while Bikita Minerals and CAPS United also played a goalless draw.

Hwange edged Bulawayo Chiefs, thanks to Dominic Chungwa’s early effort in the game.

Police Raid ZINASU Conference

By Gift Ostallos Siziba

We strongly condemn the unjust arrest of over 50 ZINASU student leaders who were attending their annual conference at the Zesa Training Centre.

The regime’s actions are a blatant violation of the students’ rights to freedom of assembly, association, and expression.

Instead of supporting the next generation of leaders, the regime in Harare is choosing to silence and intimidate them.

Students must be freed!
It’s homeland or death!

Mnangagwa Celebrates Kagame Victory

Source : Operation Restore Legacy

President and First Secretary of Zanu-PF Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa chairs Zanu PF’s 377th Ordinary Session of the Politburo at the revolutionary Party’s Headquarters in Harare.

In his opening remarks, the President congratulated Rwandan President, H.E. Paul Kagame, on his re-election following the resounding victory of the Rwanda Patriotic Front in that country’s recently held elections.

President Mnangagwa commended the peaceful environment that prevailed throughout the Rwandan electoral process, describing it as a testament to Africa’s capability to hold peaceful, democratic and credible elections.

President Mnangagwa emphasised the need to respect constitutionalism in the Party, and described the Party’s constitution as the fundamental point of reference in all party matters.

He urged the Party leadership to be conversant with macro-economic trends, and encouraged them to follow keenly the Mid-Term Fiscal Policy Review to be tabled by the Finance Minister Hon Mthuli Ncube tomorrow. He also revealed that all economic sectors are growing, with the exception of agriculture, which is going through challenges as a result of the El-Nino induced drought.

The President revealed that the recently held Irrigation Conference had resulted in the injection of over US$200 million into expanding irrigation systems in the country.

The President urged all party structures across all Wings to be proactive in processes of innovation, modernisation and industrialisation of the economy.

He further urged the Party’s leadership to be at the forefront of explaining to the grassroots how Zimbabwe will benefit from the 44th SADC Summit, highlighting that all Summit events should be leveraged in line with the national policy of Engagement and Re-Engagement as well as Government’s economic thrust.

President Mnangagwa commended traditional leaders in areas affected by Gukurahundi, for their commitment towards finding closure to this unfortunate past experience adding that Zimbabwe is an indivisible, unitary and peaceful State.

Mnangagwa Boasts Of “Unity In Country”

By A Correspondent

In a striking declaration amidst national and international scrutiny, Emmerson Mnangagwa asserted that Zimbabwe stands unified and at peace, despite mounting accusations of harassment and suppression of opposition voices.

Addressing the 378th Ordinary Session of the Politburo, the ZANU PF leader sought to affirm his administration’s commitment to national cohesion and progress, even as critics question the sincerity of his claims.

“We are one and we stand undivided. There is peace in Zimbabwe. We are addressing discrepancies of the past,” Mnangagwa proclaimed, encapsulating the essence of his address that blended a message of unity with a rebuttal against allegations of political persecution.

The assertion comes at a pivotal moment for Zimbabwe, a nation grappling with a complex political landscape and socio-economic challenges.

Mnangagwa’s leadership has been marked by efforts to stabilize the economy and re-engage with the international community, yet criticisms over human rights violations persist.

The President’s words aimed to project an image of national harmony and progressive governance, seeking to reassure both domestic constituencies and global observers.

However, the backdrop against which these declarations were made is contentious.

Opposition members and human rights organizations have consistently raised alarms over alleged state-sponsored intimidation, arrests, and restrictions on civil liberties.

Such allegations have strained Zimbabwe’s international relations and stirred debates over the credibility of its democratic processes.

In response to these concerns, Mnangagwa’s address did not shy away from acknowledging past challenges while emphasizing a forward-looking agenda.

“We are addressing discrepancies of the past,” he affirmed, hinting at ongoing efforts to reconcile the nation’s historical grievances and to chart a path toward inclusive development.

The Politburo session, a cornerstone of ZANU PF’s decision-making apparatus, provided a platform for internal reflection and strategic recalibration.

Beyond its symbolic importance, the meeting underscored the ruling party’s resolve to steer Zimbabwe through a transformative phase, balancing continuity with the imperative for reforms.

As Zimbabwe navigates its way forward, the assurances of peace and unity voiced by Mnangagwa at the 378th Ordinary Session of the Politburo carry profound implications.

They signal an unwavering commitment to stability amid adversity, while also inviting scrutiny and dialogue on the broader aspirations for democratic governance and human rights in the nation’s trajectory.

In conclusion, while the declaration of peace in Zimbabwe echoes through the halls of the Politburo, the nation stands at a crossroads, where reconciling rhetoric with reality remains a pivotal challenge.

Mnangagwa’s words encapsulate both the aspirations and the complexities of a nation striving to redefine its future amidst persistent political and socio-economic pressures.

Mnangagwa Does Not Own Zimbabwe!

By A Correspondent

In recent developments within Zimbabwe’s political landscape, the voices of dissent have grown louder against what is perceived as the heavy-handed rule of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Zanu PF government.

The latest outcry comes from Stephen Sarkozy Chuma, former youth spokesperson of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), who vehemently criticized the regime for its treatment of members of the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU).

Chuma’s words were stark and impassioned, delivered with a sense of urgency and defiance.

He declared, “No one is safe from the dictator! The moment calls for unified efforts against dictatorship. Mnangagwa is not Zimbabwe!”

These words encapsulate the frustration and fear that many Zimbabweans feel under the current administration, which has been accused of cracking down on dissent and stifling opposition voices.

The Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) has long been a bastion of activism and resistance against oppressive regimes in Zimbabwe.

Founded during the country’s struggle for independence, ZINASU has played a pivotal role in advocating for student rights, educational reforms, and political change.

However, its members have often faced persecution and intimidation from authorities seeking to suppress dissent.

Under Mnangagwa’s presidency, Zimbabwe has grappled with economic challenges, allegations of electoral fraud, and widespread human rights abuses.

Critics argue that despite promises of reform and a new era of governance following the ousting of Robert Mugabe in 2017, little has changed for ordinary Zimbabweans. The government’s response to protests and dissent has been characterized by crackdowns, arrests of opposition figures, and restrictions on freedom of speech and assembly.

Stephen Sarkozy Chuma’s condemnation of Mnangagwa as not representing Zimbabwe reflects a sentiment shared by many within the country and among the diaspora.

It underscores a broader disillusionment with the political elite and a desire for genuine democratic change.

Chuma’s call for unified efforts against dictatorship resonates with a growing movement of activists, civil society organizations, and ordinary citizens who are pushing for accountability, transparency, and respect for human rights.

Mnangagwas Motorcade Attacked By Several Goats

-replies to the editorial team-

It was graduation day in Gweru, a bustling town known for its lively atmosphere and the prominent roundabout in the center. The air was filled with anticipation and excitement as the motorcade of a high-ranking official passed through. I, however, was occupied with a more humble task—herding my goats to the paddock.

As I and my goats approached the road, the first motorcycle of the motorcade zoomed past us at full speed. Startled, one of my teenage goats, affectionately called Gotora, mistook the speeding bike for another goat. Without warning, the Gotora (the senior male) leaped into the road, stopping in its tracks to face the oncoming police car. To my horror, the Gotora (the senior male one) began to headbutt the vehicle.

a goat goring into car- different incident

In a matter of seconds, the entire herd followed suit, swarming onto the road. Chaos ensued as the police and soldiers accompanying the motorcade tried to comprehend the bizarre scene. Instead of assisting me in herding the goats off the road, they began to bombard me with absurd questions.

Recreation of the incident – graphic

“Did you put bombs in these goats?” one soldier demanded.

“Who sent you?” another questioned suspiciously.

“Do you have iron balls?” a third asked incredulously.

As I frantically tried to remove the goats from the road, the situation grew more tense. The soldiers and police decided to take me and my goats to a local camp for further investigation. I was left there, bewildered and anxious, while the presidential guard dealt with the unruly goats. In a display of power, a few of the goats were shot.

The atmosphere in the camp was grim until an astonishing revelation came to light—the goats belonged to the president himself. The realization struck the officials with immediate regret. To make amends, the soldiers paid for the goats they had killed, and in an unexpected twist, my family and I were allowed to take the goats home to feast upon.

That day, what began as a simple task of herding my goats turned into an unforgettable encounter with the might of authority, ending in a surprising and somewhat bittersweet conclusion.- By Tafadzwa Sarirai

ZINASU Leader To Appear In Court

By A Correspondent| Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) President Emmanuel Sitima is set to appear in court this morning following his arrest yesterday.

Sitima was arrested after riot police descended on their meeting at ZESA training centre beating up close to 60 students who were having their general council.

As pressure mounted from human rights groups, the police have since claimed that they were called in after reports of violence among the students.

According to the police, they were called to the scene to restore order after the violence began. The police’s involvement and subsequent arrests have been confirmed by ZESA officials, who noted the extent of the damage caused.

“We appeal to civic organizations to verify with Police before issuing statements or raising unsubstantiated allegations,” stated the police.

ZINASU has since rallied its members to flood the Harare Magistrates court in solidarity with Sitima.

You Have Poked Us, ZINASU Warns State

By A Correspondent| The Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) has taken to social media to express anger over the detention of their leader Emmanuel Sitima.

Posting on X, Thursday morning, ZINASU said the police move has poked students who felt violated when their meeting was disrupted by riot police.

“You have poked the temper of students with brutality, disrupting our usual engagements,” read a tweet from the union’s official account.

ZINASU has since demanded the release of their president and all detained students, emphasizing that their rights to peaceful assembly and expression have been violated.

The disruption of the ZINASU general council has drawn criticism from various quarters, including human rights organizations and political activists.

Mnangagwa Speaks On Controversy Surrounding His 2030 Agenda

Zanu PF leaders should abide by the party’s constitution when discharging their duties, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said, while also addressing the controversy surrounding endorsements for his continued leadership beyond the constitutional two-term limit.

Making his opening remarks at the Zanu PF politburo meeting at the party’s headquarters yesterday, Mnangagwa read the riot act to party members, emphasizing that indiscipline had no place in the ruling party. He called on the party leadership to nurture an unflinching sense of respect for the party constitution.

“Adherence to principle, honesty, and integrity must remain the hallmark of party leaders and the membership in general,” Mnangagwa said. “All organs of the party must always discharge their duties in line with the dictates, rules, and regulations of our colossal revolutionary party. The commissariat department, supported by the respective wings, must lead more energetically, to entrench this culture.”

He did not elaborate further on what led to the reading of the riot act. However, in the past weeks, Zanu PF youths have been calling for their leader to stay until 2030, in contravention of the constitutionally mandated two-term limit. Mnangagwa is in his second and last term, according to the Constitution.

Early this month, Mnangagwa dismissed speculation that he would seek a third term in office. Speaking at the commissioning of the Mutare Teachers College’s fruit juice and water processing plant, Mnangagwa reiterated that he would step down after his current term and make way for new leadership.

“I am serving my last term, and after that, I will retire and rest,” he said, citing the party and national constitutions’ two-term limits.

Mnangagwa also called on the party to adhere to the constitution when solving party grievances. “Similarly, clarifications regarding party mobilisation, restructuring, and co-options as well as disciplinary procedures must be clearly explained to our structures. In this regard, our constitution is the fundamental point of reference,” he said.

Mnangagwa fumed over the lack of a database for all party members. “The effective deployment of information communication technologies for a comprehensive, authentic, and verifiable party membership database is taking too long,” he said. “Where there are hurdles, challenges must be identified and the requisite technical partnerships sought to bring traction to this issue. We have talked enough and now demand concrete results.”

Mnangagwa Pays Tribute To Fallen Soldier

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa says the late national hero Brigadier General (Retired) Michael Chaminuka has left a legacy of hard work and patriotism which should be emulated by his peers.

He was speaking at the burial of the national hero at the National Heroes Acre in Harare this Monday.

The late national hero whose Chimurenga name was Pepukai Hondo died on the 13th of this month.

Presiding over the burial at the national shrine this Monday, President Mnangagwa said the nation has lost a dedicated and patriotic cadre.

“His passing on, is yet another huge blow, as the nation has lost a loyal, versatile and astute officer, who sacrificed his life to wholeheartedly serve Zimbabwe.

“His humble disposition, dedication and commitment to duty as well as his exemplary patriotism, unwavering consistency and persistency, in service to our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe, earned this award of national hero, to rest among others,” said President Mnangagwa.

The President who narrated Brigadier General Retired Chaminuka’s liberation history said the brutality of the Rhodesian forces remains etched in the memories of the gallant sons and daughters and serves to strengthen the resolve to defend the country’s independence.

President Mnangagwa said the current crop of officers must emulate the leadership qualities exhibited by the late national hero.

“As we pay our last respects to the late National Hero, Retired Brigadier General Dr Michael Chaminuka, let us never forget our long protracted and arduous, liberation war history. We have a duty to keep this history alive, for the benefit of future generations.

“A people who do not know their history are like trees without roots”. This history must, therefore continue to inspire us as we harness the many opportunities and ward off the challenges that we may face as we march on to realise Vision 2030.

“We are forever emboldened by our philosophy Nyika Inovakwa, Inotongwa, Inonamatirwa Nevene Vayo. Ilizwe Lakhiwa, Libuswe, Likhulekelwe Ngabanikazi Balo.”

The nation is also mourning the loss of another senior officer Brigadier General (Retired) Lameck Mutanda who died in May and was buried in the United Kingdom.

“I also express sincere condolences to the Mutanda Family following the loss of yet another retired senior officer of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Rtd. Brigadier General Retired Lameck Mutanda who passed on and was buried in the United Kingdom.

“He was conferred with a posthumous National Hero status in recognition of his selfless contribution to the liberation of Zimbabwe and service as an exemplary and loyal military officer in the Zimbabwe Defence Forces,” said President Mnangagwa.

The President further acknowledged the hard work that is being put in place across various sectors as Zimbabwe prepares to host the 44th SADC summit in August.

“Zimbabwe is a maturing constitutional democracy, focused on promoting and consolidating our position in the comity of nations.

Money Brings Happiness – True Or False?

TREND: MONEY MAKE YOU HAPPY,NEW STUDY REAVEALS
.
.
New research shows that ultra-wealthy individuals report higher levels of happiness compared to those earning six-figure salaries. The study, which includes data from previous research and surveys of millionaires and the richest Americans, reveals that individuals with net worths in the millions or billions rate their life satisfaction between 5.5 and 6 out of 7.

In contrast, those earning around $100,000 report a satisfaction rating of 4.6, while those earning $15,000 to $30,000 have a rating just above 4.

Findings suggest that the correlation between money and well-being persists even at the highest income levels, challenging the idea of a “happiness plateau.” This indicates that higher incomes continue to significantly impact happiness, potentially implying that the more wealth one accumulates, the greater their overall contentment.

Of Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Crocodile Antics

It is quite disturbing that members of the SADC region are falling over each other to condemn Israel for the war against Palestine while they wine and dine with the black apartheid government of Zimbabwe in their own region that has committed genocide against Matabeles in which over 40 000 innocent Matabele civilians including women and children were slaughtered.

What is more disgusting is the fact that Zimbabwe, which is the perpetrator of Matabele genocide and tribal oppression of more than 5 million Matabeles is more vocal in supporting the two state solution between Israel and Palestine while it is denying Matabeles the same right to self determination.

In 2015, Matabeleland Liberation Organisation- MLO President, Cde Paul Siwela, on behalf of MLO, delivered a Notice of Demand for the Restoration of Matabeleland State which shall join the family of nations as The Republic of Matabeleland- RoM.

Copies of the Notice of Demand were also distributed to all SADC countries and other African states as we have nothing to hide and our cause is just.

The Zimbabwe President by then, late Robert Mugabe pretended as if did not know anything about the notice until he was overthrown through a military coup by Emmerson Mnangagwa and died in exile in 2017.

Mr Mnangagwa continues to bury his head in the sand concerning Matabeleland restoration cause, lifting it up only when he issues death threats to all Matabeles who are fearlessly and unapologetically demanding the restoration of Matabeleland state.

Currently, the Zimbabwe government is conducting an illegal process named ” Gukurahundi Hearings” in which the perpetrator is the judge and jury in his own case of genocide to minimise the scale of genocide, get rid of evidence cleanse self of Matabele blood and give a false narrative of the whole situation.

MLO and the people of Matabeleland are saddened and pained by the perpetrator’s lack of remorse and heartlessness. We take this as disrespect of the dead and living Matabele genocide victims and provocation that must not go unpunished.

Again, our brothers and sisters in the SADC region, Africa and the world are turning a blind eye to diabolical events and injustcies taking place in Zimbabwe against Matabeles.

It seems there are some tribes and governments in the SADC region and Africa that are given the license to wantonly murder and tribally oppress others. And there are some that must be permanent slaves of others to be continuasly slaughtered and oppressed abused.

“If you are neutral in the situations of injustice you have taken the side of the oppressor” Achibishorp Desmond Tutu once said. It is clear that our African brothers from the SADC region and beyond are taking the side of the perpetrator in Zimbabwe.

We call upon all peace loving good people and organisations in the world to support the two state solution in Zimbabwe that will permanently solve Matabele genocide, tribal oppression, Matabele- Shona tribal animosity and political abuse of the people of Matabeleland in Zimbabwe.

Our demands to the government of Zimbabwe are as follows:

i) restoration of Matabeleland state as at 3 November 1893

ii) payment of US$ 100 billion reparations for Matabele genocide

iii) unconditional withdrawal of trumped up treason charges and warrant of arrest against MLO President Cde Paul Siwela

De Bruyne Staying At Manchester City

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has dismissed rumours linking Kevin De Bruyne with an exit this summer.

Reports emerged on Monday suggesting that De Bruyne, who has a year remaining on his current deal, is in talks with Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad.

Speaking ahead of City’s friendly against Celtic in North Carolina, USA, Guardiola declared that the Belgian midfielder is not leaving the club.

“Kevin isn’t leaving,” the gaffer told the reporters.

“If someone leaves, we’re going to talk about that.”

Brazil goalkeeper Ederson has also been the subject of interest from Saudi Arabia.

But Guardiola feels it is more likely he will have the same squad as last season.

He added: “Of course, until the last day, we have chances (to make transfers), I don’t rule out the option to have new players but I think there is an 85/90 per cent chance we will have the same squad.

“I feel comfortable, because the quality of human beings we have in the squad is difficult to be replaced, and the quality is there.

“But we’ll see, I don’t know in the last moment if someone comes for some players and they leave, we’re going to decide.”

“His passing on, is yet another huge blow, as the nation has lost a loyal, versatile and astute officer, who sacrificed his life to wholeheartedly serve Zimbabwe.

Chiwenga Fights Back, Flies To France

By Sports Reporter- Zanu PF youths have attacked Zanu PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa for blocking Vice President Constantino Chiwenga from the party’s succession race.

Zanu PF youths said Mutsvangwa should follow protocol and stop blasting Chiwenga in public.

The attack on Mutsvangwa happened Wednesday, soon after Chiwenga flew to the Paris Olympic Games.

Chiwenga is, however, also criticised for leading a staggering 67 officials to the Games, which only have seven athletes participating.

Chiwenga has jetted into Paris to attend the opening ceremony scheduled for Friday.

This marks a stark contrast to other nations, such as China, which has sent a formidable 338 athletes to the Olympics. Remarkably, China’s Sports Minister did not even make the trip, highlighting the disparity in delegation size and importance between the two countries.
Zimbabwe’s seven athletes will compete in athletics, rowing, and swimming. The representatives include sprinters Makanakaishe Charamba and Tapiwanashe Makarawu in the 200m dash, marathon runners Isaac Mpofu and Rutendo Nyahora, swimmers Paige van der Westhuizen and Denilson Cyprianos, and rower Stephen Cox.
Ringisai Mapondera, Team Zimbabwe’s chef de mission, confirmed the team’s arrival and settling in Paris. “At the moment in camp, we have Stephen Cox and Denilson. Denilson arrived today. We are expecting Paige later on today,” he said. He also mentioned the presence of a physiotherapist and a swimming coach, adding that the full team would assemble within a few days.
While Zimbabwe’s athletes are gearing up for their events, the massive entourage accompanying them has raised eyebrows. Among the officials are various dignitaries, many of whom have little direct involvement with the athletes’ preparation or performance. The delegation’s size, compared to the small number of competitors, has sparked widespread criticism.
Former Olympian Abel Chimukoko praised the athletes’ potential, expressing optimism about their performance. “The sprinters, Makarawu and Charamba, are stars. Isaac Mpofu is a top contender in the marathon,” Chimukoko said, emphasising the need for support and investment in sports to achieve better results.
However, the disproportionate number of officials has overshadowed these positive notes. Critics argue that the resources spent on non-essential personnel could have been better utilised to support the athletes and improve their training conditions.
The Vice President’s presence in Paris is said to be part of a broader diplomatic mission, with business meetings lined up to further Zimbabwe’s engagement and re-engagement efforts on the international stage. Yet, this has done little to quell the discontent at home.
As the Games progress, Zimbabweans will be watching closely, not only to support their athletes but also to scrutinise the delegation’s composition and its implications for the nation’s sports administration. The official opening ceremony of the Games is scheduled for Friday, and the competition will run until August 11.

Mugabe Minister Arrested Again

By Political Reporter- Former Deputy Minister of Information Bright Matonga, has been arrested again, this time for theft.

Matonga was arrested last month on allegations of stealing farming equipment.

Following his arrest on 25 June 2024, Matonga was subsequently granted US$600 bail by Chegutu Magistrate, Evelyn Mashawakure.

However, Matonga’s legal troubles appear to be far from over, as he has now been arrested once more, this time on accusations of theft of irrigation pipes.

Matonga’s lawyer, Innocent Muchini of Muchini Attorneys told The Herald that Matonga was arrested on Wednesday morning on allegations of theft of irrigation pipes. Said Muchini:

He called me in the morning over the issue. The allegations are not clear. I am driving to Chegutu to attend to the matter and will share all the information once I get the facts.

When Matonga was arrested last month, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) outlined the charges he was facing as follows:

Count 1

The accused person is facing allegations of theft emanating from an incident which happened on the 10th of December2021 when he unlawfully took two John Deere tractors belonging to the complainant from Monchris (Landos) farm in Selous and took them to his farm. The accused person owns the Chigwell farm in Chegutu. The tractors are valued at USD70 000 and were both recovered.

Count 2

The accused person is jointly charged with his employee, Wasili Wisili on allegations of theft. The State is alleging that on the 19th of February 2016, the complainant, Talbec Investments Pvt Ltd represented by David Leonard Van Breda entered into a joint venture with the first accused person who is the owner of Chigwell farm in Chegutu. The agreement gave the complainant farming rights on the said farm for up to 15 years. Upon occupying the farm, the complainant equipped the farm with farm implements and machinery valued at USD414 888. The complainant only operated on the farm for six years before his employees were evicted by the first accused person on the 11th of December 2021 and they left behind all their farm equipment, implements as well as consumables. It is alleged that sometime in December 2021, the first and second accused persons instructed Chigwell Farm employees to open the warehouse at the farm and load farming equipment and implements belonging to the complainant onto vehicles on multiple occasions. They took the farm implements to a destination unknown to the State.

Matonga served as the Deputy Information Minister in the cabinet of the late former President, Robert Mugabe.

In 2016 Matonga was reported to have been blamed for the rundown of Chigwell Estate in Chegutu. It was reported that the farm before Matonga took over would sustain the livelihood of about 500 people and help Zimbabwe’s annual revenue with $4 million in exports.

In July 2020, Bright Matonga was listed, in the BSR of 18 July 2020, as a beneficiary in the 2007 RBZ Farm Mechanisation Scheme, as a result of the Fast Track Land Reform Programme.

He is listed under the thematic group “Politicians”. According to the list, he got goods worth US$359,420.00.

Police Bust R2 Billion Drug Lab

South Africa- Police have dismantled an R2 billion drug lab in Limpopo, arresting three Mexican nationals and several locals involved in the operation.

The Limpopo Hawks and SAPS revealed that the drug lab, located on a farm in Groblersdal, is the largest ever discovered in the country.

Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale stated that the team had received a tip-off about suspicious activities at the property.

Upon arrival, they discovered four structures filled with chemicals used in manufacturing illicit drugs, including acetone and crystal meth. The haul’s estimated street value is R2 billion.

Four suspects, including the farm owner and two Mexican nationals, were arrested.

The suspects will appear in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court on Monday, facing charges of manufacturing, dealing, and possession of illicit drugs.

The Hawks have not ruled out further arrests as the investigation continues.

Last month, another drug lab was found in Gauteng, where police seized 4,000 mandrax tablets worth R200,000 from a 40-year-old Nigerian man in Vereeniging.

During the search of another property in the area, police found additional drugs, including nine packets of CAT, three packets of crystal meth, and 1,300 mandrax tablets, along with materials used in drug production.

A 39-year-old Nigerian man was arrested.

Additionally, a week ago, police discovered a drug lab in De Deur, Gauteng.

Acting on a tip-off, the Sedibeng Flying Squad and K9 Unit found equipment and materials valued at approximately R2.3 million, arresting four suspects aged between 37 and 56.

The Hawks have uncovered ten clandestine drug laboratories since the start of the year, leading to 34 arrests.

Millers Commence Traditional Grain Processing

By Business Reporter- The Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe (GMAZ) has initiated the processing of traditional grains to enhance health and well-being among Zimbabweans.

These small grains include sorghum, millet, rapoko, and groundnuts, among others.

Previously, local millers focused on processing maize and wheat while also packaging rice, beans, and salt.

The new products that GMAZ has begun producing will be showcased at the inaugural United Nations Gastronomy Forum, set to be held in Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls Resort town, from July 26-28, 2024.

The event is spearheaded by the First Lady, Auxilia Mnangagwa.

In a statement on Wednesday, GMAZ National Chair Tafadzwa Musarara thanked the First Lady for her creative efforts that have culminated in this event.

He also applauded the government for providing the milling industry with an opportunity to showcase their new products, enhancing the family basket.

“This event heralds the rise of a new food revolution that decolonizes consumer food preferences, promotes a balanced diet, and accelerates the fight against non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and high blood pressure,” said Musarara.
“We are excited about this new development, which is well-positioned to attract a new niche of the tourist market. This commercialization endeavor is a first in Africa and should be replicated across the Global South,” he added.

GMAZ is also in the process of importing maize from the region and abroad to avert looming hunger.

The association aims to import 1.4 million metric tonnes of maize.

Musarara recently led a 20-member delegation to São Paulo, Brazil, to negotiate grain importation.

Harare Mbinga Fails To Pay Rent, Kicked Out Of Premises

By Showbiz Reporter- Harare socialite and businessman Tinashe Mutarisi has been evicted from his rented business premises in Bulawayo due to nonpayment of rent.

Mutarisi’s leading furniture company, Nash Furnitures, a subsidiary of Nash Holdings, was forced out of its location at the corner of 10th Avenue and George Silundika.

This eviction occurred just a week after the Messenger of Court seized high-end sofas and other furniture items from the company as part of debt collection measures.
According to reports, the eviction stemmed from the company’s failure to pay rent.

Mutarisi is the founder and chairman of Nash Paints, a top paint manufacturing and distribution company in Zimbabwe, which also falls under Nash Holdings.

He is well-known for promoting young and upcoming musicians in the country, often competing with the controversial preacher Passion Java for social media attention.

Unlike Java, whose wealth is often scrutinized, Mutarisi’s financial success is well-documented.

Both men are also closely associated with the ruling Zanu PF party.

FULL TEXT: Union Says Obert Masaraure Remains A Teacher

The government of Zimbabwe, in the form of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary education through the Public Service Commission has once again trampled on the basic rights of workers in Zimbabwe by illegally and unilaterally discharging Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) President from his teaching position.

The government employed the usual modus operandi of concocting strange non-existent charges against President Masaraure.

We on behalf of the Union tried to engage the employer over the issue. Our spirited efforts of engagement were stonewalled as staffers whom we met were hesitant and even afraid of engaging. Some powerful force was apparently leaning on them. Call it duress or undue influence if you like.

The government proceeded to cease the President’s salary for more than 5 years. We naturally pressed for the remuneration of the President only for the government to discharge him of his employment.

The government as an employer has always been an insincere coward who engages workers in bad faith. Our Union President Cde Obert Masaraure is a passionate patriotic award winning Science Teacher whose only crime was leading the majority of patriotic teachers in their correct legitimate fight for reasonable working conditions.

It is not Cde Obert Masaraure’s fault that the government has been paying dog’s tax to teachers for decades. He simply highlighted this plight and engaged the government in good faith within the constitutional provisions and parameters of the land. His victimisation through termination of his employment contract once again confirms the brutal vindictiveness and primitive bullying propensity of the government.

ARTUZ wishes to categorically and unequivocally reject, here and now, the illegal discharge of the President. We wish to make it clear, as we hereby do, that we will use all means necessary and unnecessary to fight and reverse this monumental injustice. We will leave no stone unturned and no turn unstoned as we claim justice for the President. All legal apparatus have since been activated to correct this illegality. Let be known that all teachers in particular and all workers in general stand behind and with our Union President against this injustice. We will provide leadership and direction until Cde Masaraure is reinstated and restitution is effected. That is a promise.

For now we declare without any avoidance of doubt that Cde Obert Masaraure remains a teacher in good standing. We treated the unlawful discharge letter as another just piece of toilet paper that we have already used it in the rightful ablution facility and flushed it to the sewage plant.

The struggle continues.

For and on behalf of Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ)

DEVELOPING: 15 Zimbabwean, South African Trafficking Victims Trapped in Thailand

By A Correspondent| A ZimEye source has alerted us to a case involving approximately 15 girls from Zimbabwe and South Africa who were recently trafficked to Thailand after being misled with promises of high paying jobs in Dubai.

Their passports have been confiscated and are locked away, making escape impossible.

According to the source, one of the victims, a South African girl named Hlengiwe Ndhlovu, video-called her parents using a South African number and shared her location, which turned out to be in Thailand. The location she sent can be found here. During the call, her parents noticed her visibly swollen face, likely due to abuse from her captors.

“Hi ZimEye, how are you? I have a case of girls who were taken from South Africa under the pretense of going to Dubai but are now in Cambodia. This came to light yesterday after one of the girls video-called her parents with a swollen face and sent her location. She left in May. Their passports were taken away and they are locked in and unable to leave,” the ZimEye source reported.

ZimEye has tracked Hlengiwe’s father, Sonnyboy Ndhlovu who confirmed that her daughter is in Thailand and last spoke to her on Sunday.

On Wednesday, Ndhlovu said he tried calling her daughter on the mobile number she used but could not reach her and was getting worried.

“I couldn’t get hold of her and I’m getting worried,” he told ZimEye.

He said he has since reported the matter to South African police and Interpol who are now seized with the matter.

Zimbabwe is grappling with human trafficking, exacerbated by economic hardships. Recently, a woman named Caroline Zinyanga was sentenced to 90 years in prison for trafficking nine girls to Oman. Additionally, a police officer named Forward Mashonganyika and another individual, Tendai Muswe, were convicted of human trafficking after luring Zimbabwean job seekers to Oman, where they were subjected to slave labor and sexual exploitation.

The US State Department’s Trafficking in Persons Report describes Zimbabwe as “one of the Sub-Saharan African nations grappling with a serious undercurrent of human trafficking.” The report highlights that Zimbabwe has become a source, destination, and transit point for human trafficking. Traffickers exploit Zimbabwean women in domestic servitude, forced labor, and sex trafficking in Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), and Uganda, often under the guise of legitimate employment.

Unlike Baba Harare, Paul Of Bible Never Abandoned His Jiti-Entertainment Venue Business After Conversion, He Increased It

Musician Baba Harare posing to become a pastor after conversion. Pics – Baba Harare, Pastor Aldridge Marufu Church

By Religion Editor | ZimEye | A notion has been developed that artists must abandon their businesses after conversion to Christianity. This belief imposes that the music business is a form of worship and so people like Baba Harare Braveman Chizvino, must ditch it and become pastors. Chizvino has since adopted it and cut off his hair so he can become a pastor.

Unlike @Baba Harare, the Bible author Paul of Tarsus didn’t stop his Jiti-entertainment venue provider-business, he actually increased it… that’s how he funded his preaching, not from tithes or offerings, and because he didn’t stop his entertainment venue services, he was effective to the point of writing almost 3 quarters of the new testament, a career he paid for with his own sweat, and he prescribed that no pastor should earn from tithes (Acts 20:32), and that good leadership must be funded from people’s professions, which they must not stop doing.

The lifestyle the great author of the new testament teaches, is contrary to what mordeners like Ezekiel Guti have led musicians like Biggie Tembo to do, who’ve ended vaakuzviuraya, in dejection. Instead of donating money to Tembo and other musicians so that they can generate more income, Guti leads them to convert selves into pastors, the same way his business, ZAOGA deceives aboriginal citizens to become clergymen just in order to chop the Australian Govt’s community grants (see article in the comments).

The pastors abuse the musicians’ ignorance to advertise their church businesses, the way @Aldridge is doing.

These new comers like Guti et al have invented their own form of religion that kills economies, because persons of Harare’s stature are capable of bringing USD4billion into the economy monthly as taxes (just 4 million of such citizens earning an average USD3,000 monthly income), just as they feed their own families. But alas business facilities are turned into cult buildings.

Another example of a lost soul is a highly paid music band manager in the 60s, who after converting to Christ, missed his first appointment to run the Beatles band durijg the infancy, when he chose to go and lead a Bible Study group instead, during a moment that could have helped shape the morals of the famous band and in turn influence the world with the very same spiritual values he wished to do. That man ended up crashing his entire career and eventually became a cult leader.

Hope this is not where Harare is heading.

    Sikhala Slams Mr Mnangagwa

    By Hon Job Sikhala

For 595 days, I was thrown in solitary confinement shackled in chains like a terrorist and suffered the most horrible abuse any person can be put under by the criminal regime in Harare for allegedly inciting public violence to revenge the gruesome murder of Moreblessing Ali.

I told all who cared to listen to me that I did not commit any crime in my professional calling to represent the Moreblessing Ali family.

I told all of you that it was the evilness that resided in the hearts of those who ran our country , and it was political persecution to remove me from the 2023 general elections.

Today, the High Court sat in Harare to hear my two appeals, one fake conviction of publishing falsehoods and another one of inciting public violence to revenge the death of Moreblessing Ali.

The High Court acquitted me in the two cases. There was concurrence by the state that the first case was a wrong conviction based on the law that does not exist at all.

In the second case of Moreblessing Ali, the state agreed that there was no evidence at all in the record, showing that I incited anyone.

To those who have been used to persecuting me, my family, and everyone associated with me, remember there is God in heaven.

Your day of judgement shall also come. The nonsense peddled that it then defeats our view that the judiciary is captured when it comes to political prisoners is scandalous as its peddlers.

Where, there is no evidence that even a kraalhead would convict leaves judiciary officers of dignity with no option but to uphold their dignity by throwing away fake convictions.

Zimbabweans Hold Demo Outside Zimbabwe Embassy demanding Mnangagwa To Go

By Diana Machingauta| Zimbabweans held a protest outside the Zimbabwe Embassy in London, on the 19th of July 2024, demanding the release of Senator Jameson Timba and 78 other opposition members who are incarcerated.

These individuals were detained in Avondale on June 16th during a private function commemorating the International Day of the African Child.

The protesters also called for a fresh election in Zimbabwe, following last year’s elections which were condemned by the international community, including the Southern African Development Community (SADC), for not being free and fair and failing to meet SADC principles and guidelines.

Additionally, the protesters demanded that Mr Mnangagwa should not oversee the Gukurahundi Genocide hearings, as he is the main perpetrator in the murder of over 20,000 citizens from Matabeleland and Midlands.

The overarching demand of the protesters was for Mr. Mnangagwa to step down, citing him as the cause of the above-mentioned matters.

    WindFall For Gwekwerere

By Sports Reporter-Former Dynamos FC striker Evans Gwekwerere has reportedly been paid a portion of a US$27,000 Dembare owed him to guarantee Glamour Boys’ participation in the upcoming 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup.

Gwekwerere had claimed that his former employer, Dynamos, owed him US$27,000 following his different stints with the club.

The intervention of the Football Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) helped Gwekwerere approach CAF, who was prepared to block Dynamos from taking part in the Confederation Cup.

As part of the CAF men’s club licensing regulations, clubs must prove that they have no outstanding disputes related to overdue payments before being granted the necessary licenses to participate in inter-club competitions.

In response, the Dynamos executive reportedly pooled resources and managed to pay Gwekwerere US$17,000, with an agreement to settle the remaining amount in batches within the next three months.

It was further reported that the parties agreed to a reduced total payment of US$20,000, instead of the initial US$27,000 claimed by the player.

A portion of the initial payment came from the gate receipts when Dynamos hosted their local rivals, Highlanders, in a recent match. Said a source:

To be precise it is only one player, not three and it is Evans. He had a special case that went through the courts and he won his case a long way back.

Since then, the club hasn’t come forward to pay him his dues and the current executive just inherited that debt. The issue was overlooked and the club failed to comply with a court order all these years.

The player approached FUZ which we believe advised him to report the case to CAF ahead of our participation in the Confed Cup.

Nowadays, the rules don’t allow teams to participate in competitions when they have debts and owe players money and we believe Evans and FUZ took advantage of that and approached CAF.

This situation meant the club was going to fail the criteria for club licensing and we weren’t going to participate in the African Safari.

Dynamos are scheduled to face off against Zambian club ZESCO United in a two-leg preliminary first-round tie of the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup, set to take place between August 16 and 25.

    Tariro Authenticates Chivhayo Chats

By Showbiz Reporter- Radio personality Tariro Gezi had an authenticated chat with the fraudster and controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo but firmly denied any romantic involvement.

Gezi, is one of the women whose chats with Chivayo were leaked last week.

She authenticated the exchange but said it was purely professional.

“Wicknell is a public figure that I admire, but I’m not one for scandals. The only time I spoke to him was when I was trying to assist musician Greatman in getting an electric wheelchair after Greatman posted his plea to Chivayo on Facebook,” Gezi explained.

I’ve never called or met Chivayo in person. It was just that innocent Instagram chat, and I think the leaked chats are a way of trying to discredit what I’ve built over the years. Police’s $10,000 Reward for A Nameless Suspect Who Stole from A Nameless Company

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a public appeal for information regarding a fraud suspect, accompanied by a substantial reward of $10,000. The suspect, whose photograph is prominently displayed in the ZRP press statement, is accused of defrauding a Bulawayo-based firm of $300,000. However, an investigative dive into the suspect’s history reveals that his only known and documented offense is his involvement in the infamous 2018 June White City bombing. This raises significant questions about the ZRP’s current charges and their true intentions.

    – The Press Statement

The ZRP’s press release dated July 23, 2024, urgently seeks public assistance in identifying and locating a man involved in a significant fraud case. According to the ZRP, the suspect defrauded a local firm in Bulawayo of $300,000 before disappearing. The statement promises a reward of $10,000 for credible information leading to his arrest.

    -The Suspect’s Controversial Past

The suspect’s image in the press statement unmistakably identifies him as a figure linked to the 2018 June White City bombing, an attack that sent shockwaves across the nation. This incident occurred at a rally in Bulawayo and was one of the most high-profile acts of political violence in recent Zimbabwean history. Despite being a well-known figure due to this event, the ZRP’s statement omits any reference to his past, focusing solely on the alleged fraud.

    – Inconsistencies in the Police Claims

Several inconsistencies in the ZRP’s current claims are worth noting:
    1. The ZRP has not named the company allegedly defrauded by the suspect. Given the magnitude of the fraud, one would expect the victimized company to be identified, if not for transparency, then for public verification of the claim.

    2. **Timing and Motives:** The timing of this press release is curious. The suspect has been relatively low-profile since the 2018 bombing incident. The sudden resurgence of interest in him, under the guise of a fraud charge, raises questions about the underlying motives of the ZRP.

    3. Reward Size: The $10,000 reward is unusually high for a fraud case in Zimbabwe, where economic constraints often limit such offers. This discrepancy suggests that the ZRP may have alternative motives for apprehending this individual.

    – A Deeper Motive?

Several sources suggest that the ZRP’s intense focus on this suspect may be politically motivated. The faceless suspect’s alleged involvement in the 2018 bombing has made him a figure of considerable interest and potential leverage within political circles. By framing him for a high-profile financial crime, the ZRP might be aiming to either neutralize a perceived threat or someone connecter to an influential contender.

Speculation is rife that the faceless suspects is a state seurity mole who sought to kill Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and his then wife, Marry, in 2018 for Emmerson Mnangagwa’s gain, and he is feared to have switched sides.

    – Public Reaction and Legal Implications

The public’s reaction to the ZRP’s statement has been mixed. While some citizens are eager to see any form of justice served, others are skeptical of the police’s motives, especially given the suspect’s controversial history. Legal experts have also raised concerns about the lack of transparency and the potential misuse of law enforcement for political purposes.

The ZRP’s recent press statement and the substantial reward offered for the arrest of a suspect with a well-documented past raise significant concerns. The inconsistencies in the ZRP’s narrative, coupled with the suspect’s history, suggest that there may be more at play than a straightforward fraud case. As this story unfolds, it is crucial for the media and the public to scrutinize the actions of the ZRP and demand transparency and accountability in this high-stakes situation. – ZimEye

    Sikhala Roasts Ruthless Mnangagwa Administration

Zanu PF Infighting Reaches Alarming Level

Is History repeating itself or Not…

Leading up to 2018 elections, in December 2014 Jonathan Moyo was on BBC Hardtalk saying the then VP ED Mnangagwa was not anointed to take over

10yrs later Chris Mutsvangwa says the same thing to the current VP

The 2014 to 2017 was a very difficult period wherein we lost economic and social development time due to overbearing and toxic politics and as Zimbabweans l guess we must not allow what happened before to happen now for the betterment of our economy

Eventually the legacy was restored in November 2017.

From 2017 to date we have witnessed development and stability under the Leadership of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa

Zimbabweans , lets put our country first, allow our constitutional processes, values and principles to guide us

    Let’s not lose developments momentum.

    Mnangagwa, Chiwenga Power Struggles Escalate

Political Reporter-As power struggles intensify in the ruling party, Zanu PF has called for an urgent Politburo meeting on Wednesday.

The party’s acting Secretary General, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, announced that all members are expected to attend the meeting on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Zanu PF headquarters.

Although Mudenda stated that the primary agenda would be to provide an update on preparations for the 44th SADC Summit, sources within the party indicate that the power struggle between Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga will be a significant topic.

Over the weekend, Mutsvangwa gave an interview to The Standard, where he publicly opposed  Chiwenga’s takeover from Mnangagwa, advocating instead for Mnangagwa’s successor to be elected.

Former Norton MP Temba Mliswa has claimed that Mutsvangwa harbours presidential aspirations, which is corroborated by Mutsvangwa’s consistent criticism of Chiwenga.

This internal conflict traces back to the 2017 coup led by Chiwenga, which ousted former President Robert Mugabe and installed Mnangagwa as the leader.

The original plan of the junta promised that Mnangagwa would serve two terms before handing power to Chiwenga without an election.

However, Mnangagwa’s supporters, including Mutsvangwa, seem to be reneging on this agreement.

Mutsvangwa, a staunch Mnangagwa ally, has openly stated that Chiwenga should face an election to become Mnangagwa’s successor.

In a recent interview with The Standard, he asserted, “There is no godly anointment in Zanu PF. Zanu PF is not a church where people can be anointed. The president is not the Pope of the Catholic Church or the Archbishop of Canterbury, who anoints priests.” He emphasized that all political aspirants must abide by democratic principles, saying, “Everyone who goes into politics and has an ambition to be a leader must play by the rules, especially of a revolutionary democratic party. That’s why the president was very clear, saying, ‘I will not usurp the decision-making powers of the people of Zimbabwe or the membership of Zanu PF – I will retire.’”

Mutsvangwa further compared the ruling party’s processes to religious organizations, arguing that Zanu PF operates democratically, unlike churches where leaders can unilaterally appoint successors.

“Zanu PF is not Makandiwa’s church where he can have himself, his wife, his kids, and his followers say this is my church. President Mnangagwa is an elected leader of a revolutionary democratic party,” he concluded.

This power struggle within Zanu PF raises questions about the future leadership of Zimbabwe and the party’s commitment to democratic processes amidst internal rivalries.

Citizens Pressure Mnangagwa Over Detention Of 1-Year-Old Baby

By A Correspondent| Citizens have begun piling pressure on President Emmerson Mnangagwa over the continuous detention of a one-year-old child following the arrest of the mother on 16 June 2024.

“If this doesn’t embarrass you as a Zimbabwean citizen then you are not PATRIOTIC! These are negative news that shouldn’t trend against our country, but our government decides to make them trend…” she said.

ACTSA has also joined in demanding the release of the Avondale78 and tweeted the below message:

Yesterday we joined @WomenofZimbabwe to demand justice for #FreeAvondale78. These 78 people, inc a baby, were beaten, arrested and detained by Zimbabwe police since 16 June. Their second bail hearing due today is now postponed to 24 July.

Man Murders Wife, Child, Drinks Poison And Hands Self Over To Police

A man from Marondera, who allegedly murdered his wife and son on Sunday night in a suspected case of domestic violence, has been arrested.

Ezekiel Chibvongodze who was staying with his wife and child in the Nyameni area of Marondera, is alleged to have stabbed his 26-year-old wife and six-year-old son over an unknown issue at around 8 pm Sunday night.

A fellow tenant, Egenia Bhainai, said she heard the now-deceased woman screaming and went to investigate only to discover that she had been stabbed together with her son.

“When I heard the screaming, I went to investigate only to realise the woman had been stabbed, while the child had the knife at the back and had died in the house, while the woman died outside trying to seek help,” she said.

Chibvongodze allegedly went on to drink poison and later handed himself to the police.

Scores of onlookers and relatives were gathered at the house as the police brought the suspect for indications.

Blood stains could be seen in and outside the house.

Government of Unity to build a better South Africa

The South African government of national unity (GNU) was formed just a month after the 2024 elections and the ANC leaders believes that this is part of building a better South Africa.

Ramaphosa said he had told cabinet ministers that there should not be any competition among parties to the GNU “to outdo each other or lay claim to the policies that we collectively adopt”.

The other mandate of GNU includes boosting of the South African economy and creating of jobs.

President Ramaphosa delivered the Opening of Parliament Address on Thursday night followed by a debate by political parties regarding the forming of government of national unity (GNU).

“We are now a Government of National Unity, formed in the cause of rebuilding our nation. We are committed to putting our differences aside and working together for the common good. I’m really pleased that the members of the [GNU] demonstrated a unity of purpose and the commitment they have to advancing the interests of all South Africans during the debate and in what they will be doing as leaders of the [GNU].

“Behind us are 62 million South Africans who want and need us to succeed. And we will succeed as the [GNU] even though others don’t wish us well, succeed we shall. As Minister [Pieter] Groenewald has said, we have before us an opportunity to restore and build. So let us use this opportunity. In the challenging and difficult times, we live; this unity will be our comfort, the unity that we are forging our courage, and it will be our greatest strength.

“It is time to get South Africa working again,” said the President

Despite the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) not being part of the Government of National Unity (GNU), President Cyril Ramaphosa is convinced that the will succeed in building a better South Africa.

South African Labour activation programmes to create Jobs – Minister Nxesi

The Department of Employment and Labour Minister, T.W. Nxesi announced that the department through its entity, the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), will enter into partnerships with private business, SETAs and NGOs to create thousands of employment opportunities for residents of South Africa.

Addressing the Nation, Nxesi said that in the face of rising unemployment, all efforts to create jobs in South Africa should be welcomed.

“It is very important that we respond to the challenge of unemployment, and plan together to implement strategies to mitigate it on an ongoing basis. We believe that government, working together with all stakeholders, has a major role to play in mitigating unemployment, and creating and preserving jobs,” said the Minister.

The event commenced with an Employer Breakfast Session, where Minister Nxesi was leading discussions on labour market issues, and mitigating to address unemployment in the country.

Addressing a gathering of employers during the Jobs and Careers Fair Breakfast session in April, Minister Nxesi said unemployment and employment has nothing to do with politics.

“I want to repeat this, employment or no employment knows no politics, it’s a crisis facing our young people. So when we deal with the issue of unemployment, we must know that we are dealing with a crisis which is facing our young people.

“And we are saying, we are interacting with all the Premiers, but our intention is very simple because the Premiers have the authority to talk with their Departments and their Municipalities. At the end of the day, if we want these programmes to be relevant they must come to the district and local municipalities and that is our logic,” said Minister Nxesi.

The launch was attended by labour activation programme beneficiaries, project owners, various MECs from the provincial government, as well as senior government officials.

Participants that will be hired and trained in the programme will be selected through the Department of Employment and Labour’s Employment Services of South Africa database (ESSA).

    21 July 2024

Eastern Region log leaders, FC Wangu Mazodze yesterday thumped Surrey FC 2-0 at Surrey Arena to extend lead at the top.

The Kingdom Boys now sit on 39 points at the apex and a win over Mutare City in their rearranged game will see the Masvingo based side further up atop.

In yesterday’s game, FC Wangu Mazodze started on the front foot and it was not surprising when they took a deserved lead on the 36th minute courtesy of an own goal from Surrey captain who turned a good cross from Nicholas Muchadei into his own net.

In the second half, the Kingdom Boys shifted a gear up bombarding the Surrey goal area relentlessly in search of the second goal. That goal arrived exactly on the hour mark from the boot of the reliable Nicole Mutatiwa who gave the Surrey keeper no chance with a shot from the edge of the box.

The goal came following a neat exchange of passes on the left between the impressive Michael ‘Bastos’ Chihowa and the trickery substitute, Edward Mafa.

FC Wangu Mazodze could have scored more but some chances went begging and in the end they settled for a 2 nil scoreline.

Credit goes to Coach Emeritus, Rtd Warrant Officer Class II, Nyikadzino J for knitting a side solid at the back and capable of conjuring up wins even in difficult situations. The Kingdom Boys have only conceded 4 goals in 15 outings and have not tasted defeat in the process, claiming 12 wins and 3 draws.

This is the stuff that makes champions and if the team keeps winning, then the Premier Soccer League dream will certainly become a reality. Zhalala Zhululu fans can now surely start to dream of a return of PSL action at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo.

The success story of FC Wangu Mazodze surely can never be complete without mentioning professional management and stability by Club Chairman, Trevor Chatewuka and Club President, Dr Richard Wangu Mazodze and his wife.

Indeed the future is exciting Zhalala Zhululu fans.

Government In Another Controversial-Chivhayo-Like Solar Project

Business Reporter- The government has launched another presidential scheme focused on solar energy, drawing immediate comparisons to Wicknell Chivhayo’s infamous multi-million dollar Gwanda solar project, which never saw the light of day.

State media reports that the new initiative has begun with installations at 400 houses in Harare, where solar panels are being laid on rooftops to generate power to be sold to Zesa and fed into the national grid.

The project, it says, involves renting and installing solar panels on rooftops in Harare, starting with a pilot project in Glen View.

Homeowners, the state media says, will receive a token of appreciation for their participation.

The pilot project is being rolled out by the Zimbabwe Solar Energy Company (ZISEC), a subsidiary of Prevail Group International (PGI), in Ward 30, Glen View suburb. Standard contractual arrangements have been agreed upon, allowing ZISEC to recoup its investment over the life of the scheme and make a fair profit if they are efficient.

PGI chairman Paul Tungwarara announced over the weekend that the program is underway. “The Presidential Solar Scheme has kicked off. This project is being executed under ZISEC in conjunction with Prevail Group. We are generating solar power from rooftops and feeding the electricity into the grid to eradicate load-shedding in the areas where we are installing the solar system,” he said.

Tungwarara added that initially, they are targeting 400 houses and training locals to install the solar systems as a way of creating employment.

Landlords will also be given a token of appreciation for contributing electricity to the national grid.

As this new scheme unfolds, many are reminded of Chivhayo’s failed Gwanda project, which promised significant contributions to Zimbabwe’s energy sector but ended up mired in controversy and unmet targets.

The public remains skeptical, wary of another high-profile solar initiative that might not live up to its grand promises.

    Khupe Hit By New Cancer

By Political Reporter- The former MDC-T deputy President Thokhozani Khupe has been hit by another form of cancer.

The former deputy Prime minister (59) was first diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2011 and underwent treatment and surgery, resulting in the surgical removal of one of her breasts.

Khupe last week revealed in parliament that she is now battling another form of breast cancer, Lobular cancer, after being initially misdiagnosed and treated for ovarian cancer.

Invasive lobular carcinoma is a type of breast cancer that begins as the growth of cells in the milk-producing glands of the breast. Khupe said:

You all saw me when I came for the swearing-in-ceremony, I was a moving grave, but look at the transformation – this is God’s work.

I would like to thank Him so very much for giving me a second chance at life, and for being my Saviour, my doctor and my protector.

Sikhala Speech After Court Acquittal | FULL TEXT

I am angry with the regime to the last coma:

ZANU Celebrates Sikhala Acquittal After Failing to Convince Him He’s Mandela As Hopewell Wanted

Months after failing to convince him that he is Nelson Mandela who’s been neglected by Nelson Chamisa as money laundering suspect, Hopewell Chin’ono claimed, ZANU PF has thrown a party as Jon Sikhala is acquitted.

By Investigative Reporter | The below audio recording is of the controversial activist Hopewell Chin’ono screaming out while walking away from legend singer Thomas Mapfumo’s photoshoot in Leicester, UK.

Chin’ono in the audio accuses the country’s most popular politician, Nelson Chamisa of neglecting the jailed legislator, Job Sikhala, saying he was wasting time tweeting while Job Sikhala was suffering in prison. He says Chamisa seemed more concerned over his register-to-vote rallies that over Sikhala’s plight.

Ironically Chin’ono has also accused Chamisa of not holding any register-to-vote rallies in the run up to the 2023 elections.

He accuses Chamisa of sending him pictures of his (Chamisa’s) rally during Sikhala’s trying moments.

“He sent me [rally pictures), I don’t tweet things like that,” says Chin’ono.

Sikhala’s best friend, Tafadzwa Musekiwa then answers back asking if the rally “is the Kariba one,” to which Chin’ono blows back saying,

“I was being tweeted to and would just ignore; everything I was getting tweeted and would just ignore. There is someone who is in prison [and he’s doing this],” he says in the clip captured by ZimEye in July 2022, comments which Zimbabweans have re opened as they connect them to Chin’ono’s allegation that Nelson Chamisa’s party is going to split because according to him (Chin’ono) the CCC leader is incompetent.

    ….

Since 2022 Chinono has continued berating Chamisa saying he focuses too much on citing Bible verses. while Sikhala is suffering.

Chamisa has chosen to ignore the commentator.

Meanwhile, Hopewell Chin’ono’s repeating behaviour is explained by an NHS mental health expert who among many others alleges on video she witnessed him engaging in credit card fraud and that he was once arrested over money laundering in UK, before changing his surname from Mukusha after leaving UK for Zimbabwe.

She also says she has to repeat these allegations in order to alert the nation over how he has hurt many people since his Marlborough High School days.

“What he did to me without remorse, if he does it to Zimbabwe without remorse, will there be any chance of a reversal?,” says Grace Mupfurutsa, around the time of Chin’ono’s first arrest by the Zimbabwe military government he’s been working for, on 18 Aug 2020.

FC Wangu Mazodze Pluck Surrey Feathers

FULL TEXT: Kasukuwere Mourns Soldier Who Died Yesterday

Eulogy – Brigadier General Dr. Michael Chaminuka

I do not often write about events that happened in the past. However, the passing of General Michael Chaminuka has moved me to write and salute one of the finest soldiers and liberators this country has ever produced.

Humble, grounded and smart, I first met then Captain Michael Chaminuka at Special Task Force(STF) Chimoio in Mozambique in 1990. At that time, Zimbabwe had deployed security forces in Mozambique to safeguard the pipeline and assist the FRELIMO government to restore peace, law and order in Mozambique. The RENAMO insurrection was at its peak and Zimbabwe was heavily involved in the fight on the side of FRELIMO and the Government of Mozambique.

Captain Chaminuka, was the Military Intelligence Officer (MIO) of the 5th Brigade. The Commander was Colonel Elisha Musonzini. I, together with my senior colleague Katsiru were deployed in Chimoio and worked together with the ZNA in providing intelligence. As the youngest in the intelligence circle, I struck a strong relationship with Captain Chaminuka and Dr Kamusoko who was the Brigade Medical Officer. We would spend numerous days traveling together and gathering intelligence, analyzing and processing information gleaned from various sources. Ours was to ensure we provided timeous intelligence to the command element, so they could make prompt decisions.

Michael struck me as a dedicated officer and disciplined war veteran. He had gone through the officer cadet training and was highly trained in intelligence. During our tour of duty in Mozambique, a cable came from National Joint Operations Command headquarters in Harare tasking us to go and interview RENAMO bandits who had been captured and detained at Nhamatanda, Sofala province. A number of our troops had been ambushed and killed in the area between Nhamatanda and Lamego. The battalion leadership led by then Lt. Col Nicholas Dube, a decorated Commando Trooper was baffled and frustrated. A crack team was then assembled to come and assist the military leadership.

Gen Chaminuka and I drove down to Lamego and we were received by Lt Col Nicholas Dube and his senior command element, who gave us a detailed briefing on what was obtaining in his area of tactical responsibility. He was deeply concerned about the volatile situation.

The two of us immediately got to work and began our task early in the morning the following day. We were accompanied by the battalion intelligence team to Nhamatanda prison to interview the captured bandits. We drove in a CIO issued B2200 to the main camp at Nhamatanda. After disembarking and identifying ourselves, the security details then accompanied us into the holding cells. The prisoners were standing in an open pit prison in water which was slightly above the hip. These were the conditions under which the captured bandits lived in. To get into the prison, we had to walk down a spiral staircase into the water logged cells.

As we started enquiring and interviewing the captured bandits, I overheard in Portuguese, remarks that immediately concerned me. I had acquired a working knowledge of Portuguese and could understand the language. The officers from our sister institutions who had accompanied us into the cell murmured something to the effect that the Zimbabweans were now their problem and they should deal with us. The insinuation, was that we should be attacked whilst inside the prison. I immediately alerted Michael and my colleagues to the danger we faced and told them to draw their guns and get out of the place. Armed with our pistols, we made our way out of the building, got into our vehicle, and drove to the battalion camp at Lamego.

We were shaken but not deterred, for we knew it was a war and anything was possible. We briefed the Commanding Officer Lt Col Dube, on what had transpired. In our report to the National Joint Operations Command, we highlighted our observations, that the war had taken a dramatic turn and that the RENAMO bandits had been able to get the people on their side, and had infiltrated most of the institutions, in that area. The attacks on our troops and vital infrastructure was being carried out by bandits who would were now operating from within the various settlements along the corridor.

We observed that it was no longer attacks coming from bases located far away but that the very communities were hosting the bandits. We strongly recommended to the leadership that, the war effort required a review. We opined that the war was now a quagmire and would not be winnable. Meanwhile our colleagues in Beira, Captain Josto (Defence Attache), Jeff Mbalekwa, Kufa Chinoza and Tadzingaira Tachiyezi were also of the same opinion.

Fast forward, the peace process got underway and elections were held under the supervision of the United Nations, led by Aldo Ajello. The complete sweep by RENAMO of the Sofala Province, and in particular, the Nhamatanda area proved our point that the bandit movement was enjoying unequal support from the community.

I chose to dwell on this one incident to confirm the commitment and determination Michael had for his country. He was a professional soldier and dedicated patriot. Fair and balanced, he was a remarkable officer and gentleman. We continued to work together after he was appointed to higher offices. In all our interactions, it was evident, Michael was a caring big brother.

Our two daughters Natasha Kasukuwere and Rachelle Chaminuka were to study law together at the University of Zimbabwe and become great friends. We last met, when both girls were registered as legal practitioners at the High Court of Zimbabwe in 2018.

Michael was not only a comrade in arms but also a brother, and patriotic warrior for the Motherland. Mukoma, Bvumavaranda, famba zvakanaka, I will not be able to attend your burial, but I will plant my flowers on your burial ground in good time.

    Farewell Great Commander.

    Chiwenga Calls For Sanctions Removal

    By A Correspondent

Zimbabwean Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has advocated for the removal of “sanctions” imposed on senior Zanu PF officials.

According to a government source over the weekend:

“VP General (Rtd) Dr CDGN Chiwenga called for the lifting of unilateral sanctions on Zimbabwe and Nicaragua by Western countries during the 45th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua.”

    Zivhu Fights In Chiwenga Corner

    By A Correspondent

Killer Zivhu, a notable figure within Zimbabwe’s ruling party Zanu PF, has stepped forward to address the ongoing discourse surrounding succession within the party, emphasizing the importance of respecting Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

Speaking on Sunday, Zivhu conveyed a straightforward message:

“Stop fooling yourselves with theories! Seniority rules.

The Vice President is as good as the President. There has been no party election since 1980; candidates are endorsed by provinces.

Anyone thinking of upstaging the Vice President is simply wasting their time. The lineup is clear, and it will guide both the party and the government.”

Zivhu’s remarks come amidst speculation and debate within Zanu PF regarding future leadership transitions. His stance not only supports Vice President Chiwenga but also underscores the party’s historical practices of endorsement rather than competitive elections for top positions.

As the political landscape in Zimbabwe continues to evolve, Zivhu’s endorsement of Chiwenga serves as a notable statement within the party, potentially influencing internal dynamics and discussions moving forward.

Scramble For Pomona City Stands, As WestProp Concludes Roadworks

By Business Reporter- The last batch of stands at Pomona City is selling fast ahead of the introduction of the novel leasehold scheme to be launched next year.

WestProp chief sales and marketing officer Ms Marilyn Mosha, who interfaces with buyers at the estate, is happy with the sales and progress on the construction of asphalt roads at Pomona City that will soon pave the way for close to 600 stand owners to start erecting their homes in the live, work, shop and play themed estate.
“The site is taking shape. The road works are progressing well. We now have less than 120 stands remaining,” she said.

    Pomona City

WestProp Holdings is currently running a winter warmer promotion to promote sales and allow people to own a home in one of Harare’s prime spots.

The promotion was launched at the beginning of July and will end at the end of August.

Ms Mosha attributed the surge in sales to the roadworks currently underway and the winter warmer offer.

She said the customer-centric Real Estate Company responded to customer demands for flexible payment terms, that include a five-year payment period.

“The five year mortgage payment plan has eased payments and attracted more customers. We are customer centric. We respond to customer demands. The winter promotion was as well a response to customers,” she said.
Ms Mosha revealed that after the current phase is sold out – the next property sales will be “finished homes” on a leasehold scheme.
“The land on which the properties sit on would be on long term leasehold. It is a scheme where one has title to the improvement on the land but leases the land,” she said.

WestProp Holdings CEO Mr Ken Sharpe weighed in, saying the discount offer “was to promote homeownership and acknowledge the massive support by customers”.

He described the scheme as “disruptive, futuristic, innovative and unique.”

Mr Sharpe said in line with the company’s quest for quality – a decision was made to abandon the chip and spray road construction which would have cost US$500 000 and instead opted for the asphalt at a cost of US$2 million.
“We looked at the longevity and ambience of the roads. This is in line with our strategy to under-promise and over deliver bringing our customers world class high quality developments that are affordable. We cut no corners and will not compromise on quality because we are a developer of the future with 2050 and beyond as our goal,” he said.

The leasehold model makes the acquisition of property much cheaper as it removes the bulk cost of the land. The property owner only acquires the building and leases the land from the developer.
“One of the unique features of the Pomona City phase 2 and 3 is the introduction of the leasehold model a completely new feature in Zimbabwe but very common in developed economies,” he said.

Many people have been failing to build their properties after spending much of their investment in purchasing the land.

The new scheme is a reversal of the norm, which now allows prospective homeowners to spend on the structure and lease the land on which their house is built at very concessionary rates.

Dubbed a city within a city because of its attributes that bring all urban aspects of life, work, shop, and play into one community, Pomona City is set to be a major prototype development that will be copied and replicated by other developers.

World-renowned architects were engaged in working on the master plan and building structures, making the development a fusion of cultures and very cosmopolitan.

Mnangagwa Aide Invades Students’ Conference in Zambia

    By A Correspondent

Taurai Kandishaya, the Zanu PF Youth League Boss, invaded a youth conference in Zambia over the weekend.

    In a statement, Kandishaya said:

Today, I had the honor of speaking at the National Council of Students Union (NACOSU) Conference held at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA).

We addressed critical issues such as the impact of climate change on energy, food, and security in the SADC region.

The atmosphere was vibrant as youth passionately discussed the importance of unity between Zimbabwe and Zambia.

They stressed that our strength lies in standing together, highlighting the mutual benefits of this partnership beyond mere solidarity.

Cooperation between Zimbabwe and Zambia enhances regional stability and fosters collective progress.

Zimbabwe stands to gain significantly from shared innovations and support in addressing climate change.

Representatives from 12 universities contributed diverse perspectives, emphasizing solidarity.

The consensus was clear: Zimbabwe’s upcoming chairmanship of SADC represents hope, promising substantial benefits for both Zimbabwe and Zambia, as well as the entire SADC community.

I also witnessed the deep admiration Zambians have for Zimbabwe and their concern over external attempts to sow division through misinformation.

This underscores our need to remain united and well-informed, acknowledging the substantial mutual benefits of our partnership.
