Charamba Boasts Saying Mnangagwa Approached By Anonymous Western Nation To TakeIn Afghani Refugees | IS HE TELLING THE TRUTH?

My mentor, General XX, has asked me to stay off social media and to stop commenting on political things but I’m sorry I just couldn’t help it on this one…Our politics in Zimbabwe needs to mature…
I as Terence Mukupe believe that our politics in Zimbabwe needs to mature if we are to get anywhere as a country… I’m happy that my significant military friends do agree..It’s a well known fact that I don’t like Tendai Biti as a person, our kids where at the same school and we’d be at the same school events and would not even greet each other… It’s a fact that Tendai Biti’s right hand man Jacob Mafume has been my child hood friend and if I was to die today, he probably would be there running around at my funeral taking charge of events… likewise I have a very cordial relationship with Chamisa … I have no problem with what the MDC purports they want to do for our country as long as it advances the well being of our people.
The same scenario above is true even within my own Party Zanu PF, there are people in my party I will not even greet and who likewise are sickened by my mere presence… and there are those that have true brotherly love for me… I also strongly believe in what is enshrined in the constitution of Zanu PF and the advancement of the original principles of our party… pasi nevanoda kuita Zimbabwe a private company yekungo mora!!
The problem we have in our country is that of intolerance. We have an opposition that has become a master at agitation propaganda … such-as the abductions, job Sikhala having sadza nemazai in the bush lol…and wanting power at all costs even if it means the ordinary person suffers.
On our part as Zanu PF I strongly believe we can do more in accommodating those in the opposition in advancement of the national agenda… truly and sincerely open up the zbc radio and tv… we can’t have the same three people dominating news everyday…The recent inauguration of HH in Zambia gave me pause.
I’ve had the chance of interacting with HH once before and he definitely is a very sharp gentleman and whom I believe will give it his all to build on the good work done by my Sekuru Lungu. I know my friends from the KK family such as Duncan and Lekela Kaunda are elated with the election results.
Forget the Famba Dougie Famba craze… It’s a fact that the two most important people politically at the moment in the eyes of the ordinary person are my President ED and Advocate Chamisa.
I know first hand behind the public grandstanding, generally the two gentleman respect each other even as they differ fundamentally politically. Their differences are ideological and not on a personal level… Chamisa when we have engaged, speaks glowingly of my President and more so on my favorite and very capable General Chiwenga whom I can’t wait to become the next President!!!
Some history lesson for youWhen Jomo Kenyatta died in 1978, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, his first Vice-President, with whom they had fallen out politically, attended the lying-in-state of the body at State House, Nairobi, and wept too after saying a prayer in Dholuo.
After the dirge, he told the media he had no fundamental differences with Kenyatta. Fast forward both fathers are dead and the sons have taken center stage. In both official and personal interactions, President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga address each other as “ndugu” (brother).
Raila at times officiates at functions on behalf of the President!!!The Botswana President often has the leader of the opposition accompanying him… as he did at HH’s inauguration. What Zimbabwe needs is generational consensus.
VaMugabe and Tsvangirai are our Jomo Kenyatta and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga combo… we have turned a new leaf with the second republic… let’s be more accommodative off each other…The toxic agitation propaganda isn’t getting us anywhere… I just want a better Zimbabwe for my children.
It pains me that the bulk of us politicians have our kids in developed countries enjoying their best lives and yet here in Zim we engage in politics of self hate…At some point something has to give and generational consensus has to carry the day!!!

By A Correspondent- Zimbabwe’s main opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa yesterday told Zambia’s public broadcaster that Zimbabwe’s state broadcaster never grants him interviews.
“We only have one television station in Zimbabwe.”
“There’s no independent television station, since Independence–something that is bizarre and unheard of.”
Chamisa says the opposition movement relies on community channels of communication and social media. As a result, critics label him the “Twitter president”, but he is unmoved.
By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) has arrested Harare businessman Trust Chiro for allegedly evading import duty for his five commercial trucks, three of which were intercepted by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) in Waterfalls early this year.
Chiro is a the director of Chirro Investments as well as a South African-registered company, CTME Centre.
The anti-graft body estimates that Chiro shortchanged Zimra by US$388 003.
Chiro appeared in court on Monday for bail application and the court is yet to decide on his application.
In a statement yesterday, Zacc spokesperson John Makamure said the whereabouts of Chiro’s two other trucks were still unknown.
Makamure also said Chiro’s business partner, Forget Muguza was also still at large.
According to Makamure, sometime in January this year, Chiro “hatched a plan with Muguza, a manager at Enver Freight Services (Pvt) Ltd” to defraud the State “of import duty funds by falsely declaring consignments of groceries they were importing”.
Muguza, Makamure added, forged the late Ernest Muswera’s signature to fraudulently renew the company bond of Enver Freight Services (Pvt) Ltd held with Zimra.
The two businessmen cleared five trucks at Beitbridge Border Post by falsely understating the quantity of their consignment. They also claimed that their trucks were in transit to Zambia when Harare was their destination.
When Zimra intercepted three of the trucks, it recovered an assortment of groceries which were also allegedly undervalued.

By A Correspondent- A United States woman suffered a terrible tragedy after all five of her children died following a horrific fire on her birthday.
34-year-old Sabrina Dunigan, a single mother from St Louis, Missouri tried bravely to save the children but it was to no avail. All five of her children – between the ages of two and nine – died.
According to media reports from the United States, Dunigan left her five children in her one-bedroom apartment briefly to pick someone up.
When she returned home, she found her apartment engulfed by a terrible fire. Firefighters say when Sabrina returned, she tried to rush into the apartment to save her children but had to be restrained as the flames were too great at this point.
The St.Louis Post-Dispatch identified the victims as nine-year-old Deontay Dunigan, seven-year-old twins Heaven and Nevaeh Dunigan, four-year-old Jabari Johnson, and two-year-old Loyal Dunigan.
Five crews of firefighters rushed into the building and found two children dead and three unconscious on the floor. Two of the children passed away as they were rushed out of the property and the fifth died on the way to the hospital.
The children’s maternal grandparents, Greg Dunigan and Vanicia Mosley – were sleeping in a sectioned-off room away from the kids. They couldn’t save the children because of the growing flames and eventually jumped out the window. Residents of the three other units in the building managed to safely escape.
Speaking after the devastating tragedy, Sheila Dunigan, the mother’s aunt, told KSDK
“Sabrina cared for her kids. She loved those kids and we all loved those kids.
“Our family has never taken a hit like this, ever. We are devastated. We are broken.
“People are judging my niece. Please, don’t judge her. Pray for her, that’s all I’m asking right now.”
The Dunigans moved into the apartment five months ago after their previous home was also destroyed in a fire. In an interview from October of 2019, Sabrinna told local news her abusive ex-boyfriend had set fire to a previous apartment.
Investigators from the fire department are still working on figuring out the cause of the fire.
Dear Editor
I had a meeting with a Customer who stays in Marlborough this afternoon.
He says he got a call from home from his wife that a guy in a ZESA Worksuit knocked at their gate this morning.
He said he wanted to check the Pre-paid meter said to have been picked from the ZESA office.
The Wife did not open the gate, she asked the guy to say the meter number or the name of owner.
He could not say. He pretended like confirming with the office and then said his phone had switched off because of the battery.
The Woman of the house refused to open the gate and he walked off.
May you post this on our Neighbourhood Group before one of our own is robbed.

By A Correspondent- Norton legislator Temba Mliswa’s Youth Advocacy for Reform and Democracy (Yard) has petitioned Finance minister Mthuli Ncube, demanding that he discloses the source of funding for the 19 all-terrain vehicles bought for Political Actors Dialogue (Polad) principals.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa last month pampered leaders of fringe opposition political parties which lost the 2018 presidential election with twin cab Isuzu vehicles, but to disclose how the cars had been sourced.
But Yard said it suspected the money could have been siphoned from Treasury, yet the 2021 budget had no provision for Polad expenses.
“We kindly request information on where funding for vehicles allocated to Polad principals was drawn from,” Tichaona Masiyambiri, Yard director said in a letter to Ncube yesterday.
“By making this request we are guided by section 621(2) of the 2013 Constitution which states that every Zimbabwean citizen or permanent resident, including juristic persons, has the right of access to any information held by the State or by any institution or agency of government at every level, in so far as the information is required in the interests of public accountability and for the exercise or protection of a right.”
Masiyambiri added: The information required is meant to promote public accountability and protection of access to information as a human right.”
“By making this request we are guided by section 194(1)(e) which states that people’s needs must be responded to within a reasonable time.”
He said section 68 of the Constitution accorded every person the right to administrative conduct that is lawful, prompt, efficient, reasonably proportionate, impartial and both substantively and procedurally fair.
Section 194 provides for basic values and principles governing public administration while Chapter 17 of the Constitution lays out the financial management system, authorisation of expenditure and safeguarding of public funds and property.

By A Correspondent- An astonishing spectacle is unfolding at Sally Mugabe Hospital after an expecting mother, Blessing Kachembere, gave birth on 17 August.
In a bizarre chain of events, the midwife told her she had delivered a boy. The baby was taken to the nursery, as per routine.
The following day, the mother was shocked to be told that she had actually given birth to a girl, not a boy. It was a bombshell. She had phoned her husband, sharing the joyous news of a baby boy’s arrival. The man has always desired a boy, but his delight soon turned to anger.
The couple is accusing hospital staff of swapping babies. They flatly refused to take the girl. Yesterday, the hospital collected a DNA sample from the woman, who has since been discharged.
The baby girl remains in the nursery and her fate depends on the all-important DNA result.
TORTURED TO THE GRAVE BY FELLOW TEACHERS AND INSTITUITIONAL PRIEST OF HOLY ROSARY SECONDARY SCHOOL BECAUSE OF BEING PERCIEVED TO BE COVID INFECTED.
By Dr Tawanda Wallace Mataka- It is believed and is known that education improves our levels of civilization in our societies but this appears not the case at Holy Rosary Secondary school in Mvurwi.
Priests of the Roman Catholic Church are well-known for their sacrifice for the weak, sick, poor and downtrodden. This was not the case with Father Chikuni who is the responsible authority for Holy Rosary secondary school.
Worse still the teachers and even the school development committee (SDC). The case of Father Chikuni reminds me of the Rwandan Genocide where certain members of the church perpetuated the genocide.
In his wisdom he called sisters in St Michaels Mondoro Ngezi to never set foot at the Mataka Homestead in Mhondoro Ngezi where Lawrence Mataka who was the Headmaster of Holy Rosary was to be laid to rest (MHSRIP) because they will die of Covid as if Covid was the confirmed cause of his demise.
Lawrence Mataka, my dear and only brother was a seasoned administrator whose life was spend working in various schools in Zimbabwe. Listing the names may need another page which is not in the interest of this publication.
He had passion of working for the community and developing the lives of the young in Zimbabwean schools. This was evident in those schools that he was mandated to manage by the government through the ministry of Education in Zimbabwe. His last school was Holy Rosary High school and he breathed his last whilst he was head of the school.
He developed this institution like he was developing his own homestead. He was doing it for the community and because of his dedication to duty and to serve.
However, this did not go down well with a number of teachers within the institution and some of his superiors to the extent that before he even experienced health challenges his life was in danger from within the institution.
He had resigned to himself to the extent that he would not even watch television nor have conversations with those close to him because of that torture. Gradually, his health was not spared until he passed on at 0800hrs on the 26th of July 2021.
This was a death that I attribute to the ill treatment that he experienced at the hands of fellow teachers and superiors because of doing what he loved most which is promoting education.
To make matters worse the school never bothered to pay their last respects to the man who was seeing the day to day running of the school. Worse still the Roman Catholic Church in Mvurwi never bothered to extend a message of condolence to the family because a community doctor had done a spiritual diagnosis and concluded that Lawrence Mataka had died of Covid 19.
The most painful part are the lies that were peddled across the Mvurwi community and even extending to Mhondoro Ngezi through the church. Against this background, I am left wondering if certain Priests entrusted with running or overseeing the institutions are still Godly as they proclaim or they are there for other gains other than to serve.
I am as disappointed as a member of the family with the behaviour of teachers and management of Holy Rosary to the extent that it is going to be a challenge to make amends.
It is rather unfortunate that this is an institution that is run by the Roman Catholic Church and this tarnishes the good image of the church. I am not sure how the Deputy Head of Holy Rosary secondary school felt when he was shown the medical reports by the deceased’s daughter from the actual Doctor who attended my brother during his sickness.
Are they going to go back to the community and revisit their narrative? It was a painful experience for my brother at Holy Rosary Secondary. In as much as certain members of the community like the Holy Rosary claim to be informed of the pandemic, they need reorientation from health authorities so that they treat each other with love. In my opinion they threw away the Roman Catholic rule book into the dustbin and this is an injustice to the Roman Catholic Church.
I trust by publishing this narration and experience the teachers and management of Holy Rosary Secondary school will learn to be human and practice Ubuntu and Father Chikuni to revisit the Roman Catholic virtues of priesthood.
Despite the Church and Institution rejecting him in times of need, Lawrence had a loving family that gave him a King’s Burial. His former workmates and community members in Mhondoro gave him a befitting send off.
May THE SOUL OF MY BROTHER AND FATHER OF THE FAMILY REST IN PEACE.
Tawanda Mataka is the young Brother to the deceased.

By A Correspondent- Zanu-PF activists in Chimanimani, Manicaland province stand accused of intimidating villagers by collecting personal details of each eligible voter.
The ruling party supporters are claiming the information is for selecting beneficiaries of government agricultural inputs.
Villagers who spoke to NewZimbabwe.com last weekend claimed Zanu-PF supporters in Biriiri, Mhakwe, and Muusha areas are moving around people’s homes surreptitiously collecting the information from villagers.
“A Zanu-PF supporter (name supplied) visited my home and asked names and ages of all the people whom I stay with. When I asked her the reason for the provision of the information, she said the data was needed for farming inputs beneficiaries’ selection,” one concerned villager said.
“After that, I challenged why she was involving herself in government-run projects when is she not employed by the government. However, she could not answer me and I immediately told her to vacate my place,” said a villager who refused to be named for fear of victimisation.
Another villager in Biriiri said two Zanu-PF activists also visited him last week Monday on a similar mission.
“Two known Zanu-PF cadres on Monday last week approached me at my place and requested personal details for my family members. They were holding two brown writing books,” he said.
“One of the guys asked me how many family members were eligible to vote. She said she and his colleague had been assigned by the local headman to document people who are in need of farming inputs, but I failed to understand how farming inputs have to do with someone’s eligibility to vote.
“I strongly believe Zanu-PF wants to use this information for election manipulation purposes,” said the villager.
Zanu-PF has for years been accused of using food aid as a campaign gimmick.
The ruling party’s Manicaland provincial chairperson Mike Madiro could not be reached for comment.

By A Correspondent| Opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa yesterday told Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation that local television station ZBCTV never grants him interviews.
Chamisa said Zimbabwe did not have an independent television station, a situation that has resulted in critics calling him a Twitter President.
The firebrand politician uses social to send out messages to his supporters as he has no access to national radio and television stations.
“We only have one television station in Zimbabwe.”

By A Correspondent- They had an argument over grant money as he wanted a share of it.
But his preg_nant girlfriend refused.
So the enraged 33-year-old man assaulted her with a coal stove poker.
But the boyfriend regretted what he had done and called an ambulance to take her to hospital on Friday, 20 August.
Sadly, Samantha Zungu (27) passed away in hospital and he is now behind bars for murder.
Her aunt Duduzile (47) said before the ambulance went to the hospital, the boyfriend asked paramedics to stop at Samantha’s home to take her clean clothes.
“As the ambulance stood outside, her mum went to see her in the ambulance, but she was unable to speak,”
She said Samantha died soon after the ambulance arrived at the hospital.
“He robbed us of a bubbly daughter who was fighting to look after her two kids, who are now without a mum.
“Samantha was preg_nant with her third child and she leaves behind a two-year-old daughter and five-year-old son.
“We want justice to take its course. Samantha didn’t deserve to die like this,” said Duduzile.
Residents of Duduza, Ekurhuleni said they wanted the boyfriend to rot in jail.
They said they were waiting for him should the court release him on bail.
Police spokesman Sergeant Harry Manaka confirmed the incident.
“He assaulted her several times with a stove poker on the forehead. The man then called an ambulance and the girlfriend was taken to Pholosong Hospital, where she died on arrival.
“The hospital alerted the police about the incident and the boyfriend was arrested on the spot,” he said.
Manaka said Duduza police visited the crime scene and summoned forensic experts, who gathered evidence pointing to the boyfriend as the suspect.
He said the suspect was expected to appear in Nigel Magistrates Court this week.
Duduza station commander Lieutenant-Colonel Bheki Mhlungu expressed sadness at the killing of a woman, especially during a time when women activism was being celebrated.
He commended the swift action by the police in arresting the suspect.
Brian Sithole of One Strong Voice Foundation which advocates against GBV said it was sad that Samantha and other victims were killed in a month where women were supposed to be protected.
“Some men are proving that they are not society material.
“We don’t need them,” said Sithole.

By A Correspondent| Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBCTV) News Anchor Lee Ann Bernard has clashed with the late President Robert Mugabe’s son Bellarmine Chatunga over the latter’s post where he differed with musician Mudiwahood’s statement that ‘being broke is a mindset’.
Posting on Twitter, Chatunga lashed at people who mock those trying to make ends meet saying some have made it in life due to connections while some have tried everything possible but still failed.
Chatanga said he had in the past come across people fighting hard to make things work without success.
“being broke is a mindset” statement iri is bullshit. I’ve seen some hustlers who tries very hard but zvichitoramba if yu ar privileged enough to get connections you don’t hve to mock varikuedza or put unnecessary pressure,” said Chatunga.
Bernard responded insisting that poverty is a choice since everyone has 24 hours to work.
“Poverty is a choice, we All have 24 hours in a day, its what you choose to do with it that differs,” said Bernard.
The debate was ignited by Hip Hop musician Mudiwahood who in his book ‘Shut Up And Make Money’ said poverty was a choice people make.
By A Correspondent- Presidential spokesperson George Charamba yesterday sparked a diplomatic tiff with the new government of Zambia after calling President Hakainde Hichilema, who was inaugurated yesterday, a “sellout” over his association with opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa.
United Party for National Development (UPND) spokesperson Joseph Kalimbwe described Charamba’s comments as “catastrophic” and that they would not be taken lightly coming at a time when President Emmerson Mnangagwa was attending Hichilema’s inauguration.
Charamba attacked Hichilema in May this year and repeated the undiplomatic rant yesterday after pictures of Chamisa meeting with the new Zambia leader at the inauguration ceremony emerged.
Hichilema was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by several African leaders, including Mnangagwa and Chamisa.
The UPND broke the African tradition and invited several opposition leaders, including Chamisa, to attend the inauguration ceremony, a gesture which Kalimbwe said was meant to send “a very strong message not just in Zambia, but across Africa to do away with the politics of division based on opposing views”.
Incidentally, the Zambian opposition victory is the 17th in Africa.
Charamba posted on his Twitter handle, @Jamwanda2, that Hichilema was a sell-out, raising fears that his sentiments were likely to wreck Zambia and Zimbabwe’s bilateral relations.
Hichilema defeated former President Edgar Lungu, who conceded defeat and peacefully handed over power to him.
When pictures of Hichilema and Chamisa went viral, Twitter users reminded Charamba of his provocative comments about the new Zambian leader.
“Yes, they are sellouts. What is your problem?“ Charamba said in response to lawyer Alex Magaisa, triggering a diplomatic row as relations between Harare and Lusaka appear to be starting on a rocky path.
Kalimbwe told NewsDay that it was wrong for Mnangagwa’s spokesperson to attack Hichilema when there was no previous relationship with his boss and Zambia’s new leader.
“In my own personal view, it is catastrophic,” Kalimbwe said.
“(The comments) cannot be taken lightly. What is worrisome is that he is using a fake name, because he cannot come out openly as a spokesperson of a head of State to be saying such shameless statements.”
Magaisa told NewsDay that by virtue of being the President’s spokesperson, there was no distinction between Charamba’s views and government position, which made his latest sentiments on Hichilema an issue of concern.
“Charamba is a presidential spokesperson who is making a vile statement against a fellow head of State,” Magaisa said.
“His statement matters because we have seen his several other posts reflecting government positions on other issues. It is undiplomatic for a presidential spokesperson to attack a fellow head of State on baseless accusations.”
Magaisa added: “Ironically, Charamba makes the attack when they are attending Hichilema’s inauguration. The fact is that there is fear and panic within the ruling party Zanu PF over the perceived close association between Chamisa and Hichilema.”
Charamba was not picking his phone when he was being sought for comment.
“This is scandalous! Mnangagwa’s spokesman George Charamba is literally calling Hichilema a sellout while Mnangagwa is in Zambia for HH inauguration,” human rights lawyer Doug Coltart said on Twitter.
“He speaks for Mnangagwa. He is openly attacking the head of State of what is historically one of Zimbabwe’s closest allies!”
Tensions between Mnangagwa and Chamisa have escalated since Hichilema’s victory with both leaders claiming to have close relations with him.
Earlier before the inauguration, Charamba had falsely claimed on Twitter that Chamisa was not going to attend Hichilema’s inauguration although he had been invited.
In an interview with journalists in Zambia on the sidelines of Hichilema’s inauguration, Chamisa said his party remained “unshakable” despite antics by the Zanu PF government to create an uneven political ground to stop the opposition party from taking over power.
Chamisa said he was not being given an opportunity to reach out to his supporters through the State media, but the party had other alternative ways of connecting with the people.
“We only have one television station in Zimbabwe and there has been only that one television station since independence, something which is bizarre and unheard of,” Chamisa said.
“There is no independent television station. But on the television station, I, as a leader of the alternative, during the election campaign, was never interviewed once. I never appeared on that television. The only time I appear, it is when they are accusing me of something. But with all that kind of blackout, we are still standing, live broadcasting in the hearts of the people. We are unshakable and we continue to be very strong.”
In his inauguration speech, Hichilema pledged his commitment to pursue a foreign policy based on mutual interest and respect.
“Under our administration, our country will continue to be an active member of regional, continental and international bodies,” he said.
“We are committed to enhancing international cooperation and foreign relations. We are committed to promoting open and cordial relations with our neighbours and countries on the continent and beyond. We are equally committed to pursuing a foreign policy based on mutual interest and respect.”

By A Correspondent- Three serial burglars allegedly broke into Women’s Affairs Minister Sithembiso Nyoni’s house in Chisipite, Harare and stole household items worth US$10 500.
Justin Nyamakanga Dodzo, Godfrey Magadu and Tafadzwa Mupfuurira yesterday appeared at the Harare Magistrates Court facing four counts of unlawful entry.
The trio was not asked to plead to the charges when they appeared before magistrate Mrs Judith Taruvinga who remanded them in custody to today for continuation of their bail application.
The State, through the investigating officer, opposed the granting of bail to the trio, saying they were flight risks and also likely to commit similar offences.
The investigating officer also said Dodzo had breached bail conditions and evaded trial at Kadoma Magistrates Court where he was issued with an arrest warrant, for a similar offence.
Dodzo is said to have again, failed to avail himself at the Harare Magistrates Court where he is facing another 14 counts of unlawful entry.
He was also issued with an arrest warrant.
The State said it wanted to verify whether Magadu and Mupfuurira had other cases and previous convictions.
Prosecutor Mr Lancelot Mutsokoti, told the court that on July 21 this year, Minister Nyoni left Clinton Nkala, who is a caretaker and Steady Chikwaya from the police protection unit, manning her house.
The next day, Nkala, locked the doors and left Chikwaya on guard.
On July 23, at around 5.45am, Nkala was awakened by Chikwaya who wanted to know why he had left the doors open during the night.
Nkala is said to have told Chikwaya that he had locked the doors when he retired to bed.
They conducted a check around the house and noticed that the television set was missing and further checks revealed that various household items had been stolen.
Minister Nyoni’s son, Dumisani, reported the matter to police.
Mr Mutsokoti said on August 16 this year at around 2am Joseph Mudehanha of Chisipite, was in his house when the three burglars stormed his house and knocked on the bedroom door.
Mudehanha answered to the knock and saw Dodzo and his co-accused in his house armed with knives and iron bars.
The trio allegedly ordered him to lie on the floor and demanded cash.
Mudehanha told them he had no money before the accused ransacked the house and stole a bicycle and three cellphones.
The suspects then went to the room where Prisca Chimbare, who is employed as a maid, was sleeping and assaulted her before taking her cellphone.
On August 9, the three allegedly broke into Florence Marechera’s house in Vainona at around 1am and stole a 50 inch TV set, a laptop, printer, spare wheel and other valuables all worth US$5 000.
On August 17, Mudehanha spotted Godfrey Chamunoda riding his stolen bicycle at Chisipite Shopping Centre and confronted him. Chamunoda then told Mudehanha that he had bought the bicycle from Magadu.
Magadu then led police to Glen Norah B in Harare where Dodzo and Mupfuurira were arrested at their residences.

By A Correspondent- Police in the Midlands province are investigating the suspected murder of a 39-year-old man who was found lying in a pool of blood at a farm in Redcliff at the weekend.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko yesterday confirmed the incident which occurred last Saturday.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a case of murder of a 39-year-old man, who died on admission at Kwekwe General Hospital, after his wife found him lying in a pool of blood at Lyons Farm in Redcliff,” Mahoko said.
Mahoko said the man identified as Zwelani Ncube was heard by his wife, Nomsa Sibanda, arguing with some people at a neighbour’s home.
He said Sibanda called a neighbour, Andrew Muhlauro, who accompanied her outside and found the now-deceased lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut close to his left ear.
“Three suspects Tobias Moyo, Zivanai Mpofu and Lucky Moyo were at the scene armed with axes, a machete and a knife,” Mahoko said.
He said the suspects fled from the scene and were still at large.
Mahoko said Ncube was rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
In a separate incident, a 55-year-old Zhombe man sustained serious injuries after he was allegedly axed by his son whom he had tried to restrain from fighting with a friend.
Mahoko confirmed the incident which occurred last Saturday.
“Tinashe Machingauta (23) was drinking beer with a friend, Kelvin Chaunoita at Village 19 tuckshops in Zhombe when a misunderstanding ensued, leading to a fight between the two,” Mahoko said.
Mahoko said Tinashe’s father, Gift Machingauta tried to restrain his son. This angered the son, who grabbed an axe and struck his father twice at the back of the head.
He, however, said Machingauta was recovering at a local hospital where his condition was said to be stable.

A freudean slip, a guilty flip, or both? Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government spokesman Nick Mangwana yesterday unwittingly re-ignited the debate that Zambia has all this while over the years been Mnangagwa’s off-border territory. Mangwana tweeted saying Mnangagwa has returned to the country from another Zimbabwean territory.
He said: “His Excellency, President Mnangagwa is back in the country from Zimbabwe.”
Mangwana’s tweet comes at a time when investigations revealed how Mnangagwa for years personally abused Zambian state security to carry out crimes against humanity.
His announcement is likely to trigger a major diplomatic row between Lusaka and Harare.

Mama I saw ur Interview on U Tube. Now I am concerned about de Synagogue advise to people.
I am …. from SA: What makes me corncend is dat my wife is HIV Positive while I am HIV negative despite have intimate contact with her after many years. People are saying eventually I will be infected in future.
Anyway with all dis my wife visited SCOAN in April dis year and Evangelist Chris told her dat she must stop sleeping with me untill she is healed and make sure dis does not happen even if it means de end of our marriage or else she will die.
Now dats were I have a problem with. When she is adiviced to divorce me for de sake of her health. So in a way it sort of confirms my suspicions about SCOAN.
I DONT KNOW MAMA! DO U THINK DE ADVICE WAS CORRECT?
MY TAKE
YOU MUST not divorce your husband or wife because of health challenges. You can have protected sex, that is why condoms is in the market. And if she is under Medicare and using her antiretroviral religiously, it will get to a point where her CD4 count will be boosted and her viral load would go down drastically, at this time, the couple can come together even plan having children under care of your medical councilor. Remember also your prayers to God. What is going on in the Synagogue is evil and the reason the Synagogue church branch in UK was shut down by the UK government when 6 people died there.

Director for Bulawayo City Health Services Dr Edwin Sibanda has advised members of the public to ensure that they have not contracted Covid-19 before getting the vaccine.
Dr Sibanda made these remarks on “Surviving Covid-19 “, an Asakhe online show, where he was giving a general update on the vaccination program being undertaken in the city.
He said getting vaccinated when you are not feeling well makes it difficult to tell whether the vaccine is responsible for the health condition or not.
He explained that in the case where someone gets sick after getting vaccinated, health experts write a report explaining what would have caused the reaction.
He said this is the protocol with all vaccination programs done in the country.
Dr Sibanda further advised that those who would have contracted the virus should wait for 30 days after recovery before getting the vaccine.
Dr Sibanda noted that the response from the people for the vaccine has improved as more people are now turning up for the dose.
He said health workers are now overwhelmed with work as they get up to at least 500 people needing the vaccine per day.
According to the latest Ministry of Health and Child Care Covid-19 report, 2 312 417 people have received their first dose while 1 460 162 have been fully vaccinated.
Other things to consider By World Health Organisation (WHO):
The COVID-19 vaccines are safe for most people 18 years and older, including those with pre-existing conditions of any kind, including auto-immune disorders. These conditions include hypertension, diabetes, asthma, pulmonary, liver and kidney disease, as well as chronic infections that are stable and controlled.
If you are pregnant and you are already breastfeeding, you should continue after vaccination.- CITE

By A Correspondent- A Hwange man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father-in-law.
Wellington Shoko, aged 29, of Gamba 2 village under Chief Nekatambe in Hwange, was last week arrested after he allegedly killed his father-in-law, Chizeya Smart Ngwenya, for accusing him of physically abusing his daughter, Sekai Ngwenya.
He appeared before Provincial magistrate, Mrs Barbra Phiri facing a murder charge and was remanded in custody to 6 September.
The court heard that on 8 August 2021, Shoko’s sister-in-law, Joylet Ngwenya, informed her brother, Evans Ngwenya, that Shoko was assaulting their sister, Sekai.
Joylet and Evans then proceeded to Shoko’s homestead to investigate the alleged assault.
A misunderstanding arose resulting in Shoko biting Evans on the chin, sending him fleeing home. Shoko went on to follow Evans home, where he found him with his father-in-law. Ngwenya tried to resolve the dispute between the two fighting men, but failed.
Shoko then left for his homestead, but the three (Ngwenya, Evans and Joylet) followed him to his place where another misunderstanding ensued.
An enraged Shoko picked up a deformed shock absorber to defend himself against Evans, who was stoning him while father-in-law provided some lighting for his son with a torch.
Shoko turned on his father-in-law and struck him twice on the head with the shock absorber, resulting in him dying on the spot.
He fled from the scene and was later apprehended following a police report.

During a hearing held by Parliament today over the non-delivery of refuse trucks and accepting a wrong consignment of skip trucks by the City of Harare, legislators were not satisfied with the responses from the City officials on the matter.
The City of Harare acknowledged that the City received a wrong consignment of 10 skip trucks and 15 refuse trucks were not delivered by Mass Breed Investments.
“The supplier failed to deliver what was in the contract and therefore breached the contract, City of Harare engaged FAW Zimbabwe on the delayed delivery as per contract”, Said Engineer Moyo.
Legislators were irked by lack of in action since 2017 by the local authority to address the issue in recovering the refuse compactors, claim the difference in value of the wrongly supplied skip trucks and disciplinary action over officials who received the wrong consignment of skip trucks.
According to the City of Harare, they commenced legal action in July 2020 but they could not avail the Court Case numbers as requested by the legislators.
“Why was there no delivery inspection when these trucks were delivered so that there could establish whether correct equipment was supplied and the way this company is treated clearly indicates that the city of Harare is getting instruction from a powerful hand above them,” queried Honorable Gabuzza
Despite the fact that the City Officials responded to the questions asked during the hearing, legislators were not satisfied with the responses prompting the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee to recommend another physical hearing on the matter.
The Combined Harare Residents Association, Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development and Young Volunteers for Environment petitioned Parliament in 2020 after it failed to get answers through countless engagements with the local authority.
This comes against a background where the local authority is failing to collect refuse with the City having a depleted fleet of refuse trucks.

By A Correspondent- MDC-T President Douglas Mwonzora has spoken about the new Zambian President’s inauguration event.
Mwonzora was not invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new President of Zambia, Hikainde Hichilema.
Posting on his Twitter handle Tuesday, after setting up his party’s shadow cabinet, Mwonzora said they discussed the smooth transfer of power in Zambia.
” Had a great inaugural MDCT shadow cabinet meeting at the MRT House in Harare today. Inter alia, discussed the mandates of the Ministers, the disbursement of about US$1 bn by IMF, the smooth transfer of power in Zambia & the need for far-reaching reforms,” he said.
By A Correspondent| Kenneth Raydone Sharpe had his fraudulent game plan with the aid of former minister of Local Government and Public Works, Ignatius Chombo and his illegal three-men Caretaker Council, a fresh report shows.
Soon after getting awarded the Harare Airport road project without it going to tender, he proceeded to form 7 companies which immediately assumed ownership of properties that had been transferred to it by City of Harare for a job they hadn’t done and ultimately failed to execute.
Despite the fact that there were elected Councillors who awaited to be sworn in, Chombo appointed his own 3 men Caretaker Council, chaired by Michael Mahachi which lasted for 63 days.
In those 63 days, the 3 musketeers awarded an US$80 million project to Ken Sharpe without going to tender, employed 742 people without advertising for such posts, approved the sale of 2 properties in prime areas of Harare to Chombo without going to tender among other blunders which are still being felt by City of Harare and Zimbabwe at large to this day.
The frantic pace with which this Caretaker Council carried out its business suggested that there was a deliberate programme of action which was designed to achieve certain desired results before the swearing in of the newly elected Councillors.
A report done by City Council’s Special Lands Investigations Committee concluded that Mr Mahachi, who signed the MoA with Augur in his capacity as the chairman of the caretaker council, unilaterally approved the appointment of himself as the project manager, a move which guaranteed him of at least US$1 972 002.52.
“At the time of the signing of the MoU, the chairman of the caretaker council (Mr Mahachi) had not obtained the authority to do so from council as the matter had not been discussed in any meeting of the caretaker council,” reads part of the report.
“In the letter to the city council written by Mr (Michael) Van Blerk of Augur (Annexure S), Augur sets the cost of the utilisation of the project manager, Mr Mahachi, at 2,5 percent of the total cost of the project. This translates to US$1 972 002.52.”The Lands Committee then recommended that:
“Michael Mahachi’s conduct pertaining to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Augur and his being appointed as Augur project manager for the same Airport project should be referred to the police for investigations with the view to having him charged in terms of section 172 of the Criminal law (Reform and Codification) Act.”
The report also notes that the local authority paid Augur with 93 hectares of prime land which translates to 41 000 high-density stands measuring 200 square metres each, which, in turn, registered seven Zimbabwean companies to manage the land.
The City Council’s entanglement with Augur Investments has had far reaching financial implications in terms of the obligations placed on the Council and the size of the land that was transferred to Augur Investments.
Since 2007, the City of Harare signed 5 agreements with Augur Investments relating to infrastructural developments in various parts of the City of Harare.

Legendary former national team and Dynamos midfielder, George ‘The Mastermind’ Shaya, has died.
He was 77.
The Mastermind died has passed on barely two weeks after it was announced that a documentary of his legendary caterer, as one of the most celebrated yesteryear footballers, would be premiered.
The five-time Soccer Star of the Year had been battling illness for a while, a reason doctors recommend that his left leg be amputated in 2019.
In his illustrious career, Shaya won the Soccer Star of the Year five times; 1969, 1972, 1975, 1976 and 1977, a record which is still to be replicated by any player in history.- Soccer24 Zimbabwe
“Why was there no delivery inspection when these trucks were delivered so that there could establish whether correct equipment was supplied and the way this company is treated clearly indicates that the city of Harare is getting instruction from a powerful hand above them,” queried Honorable Gabuzza.

CHANGE IS INEVITABLY COMING TO ZIMBABWE (ZCEO) PRESIDENT AND MDCA NEC MEMBER PADDINGTON JAPA JAPA SAYS!!!!
The President of Zimbabwe Centre for Equal opportunities “ZCEO” a Civic Society Organisation and MDCA National Executive Council Member Mr Paddington Japa Japa has called on Zimbabwe,s main Opposition Political Party, Movement for Democratic Change Alliance to learn some few lessons from Zambia,s Hakainde Hichilema UPND United Party for National Development Victory.Hakainde,s (UPND) won the Zambian Election with a resounding 2,810 757 votes, against Lungu (PF) Patriotic Front’s 1,814 201 Votes. The just ended Zambian election has taught us as MDCA and other African countries a good lesson on how to win hotly contested elections peacefully and professionally. Zambia has shown the World and other African States that elections can be held in a Free,Fair, Democratic environment, without resorting to, Violence,Intimidation,Rigging, Vote buying, and unnecessarily Clinging on to Power after loosing. The Southern African Country has become the Beacon of Democracy in the entire African Continent, second from South Africa, in terms of respecting the rule of law and upholding Constitutional rights.
Notorious for their worst human rights record in the whole world, and on number one is Zimbabwe, which was ruled for 37 years by the late Dictator Robert Gabriel Mugabe. The Country is still under another Oppressive Dictator,Mugabe,s Predecessor Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. The two notorious Zanu Pf rulers are known for using Oppressive methods to remain in Power. They have formed a Dynasty that has ruled the Country for 41 uninterrupted years, their evil Party intends to be in power forever. From 1963 up to the Present day, Zanu Pf has been in Politics for 57 years. The first 16 years of a Protracted Armed Struggle for freedom from 90 year colonial rule and 41 years of self rule.
The reason why Zanu Pf Party has been in Power for 41 years since Independence up to date, its not because the People of Zimbabwe likes them so much, no, not at all, it is due to the wicked ways the Party has learnt how to survive. The regime has mastered the art of rigging elections using oppressive methods, to condition Society so as to become hopeless. They instill fear into the hearts of individuals which causes a sense of hopelessness.Millions of Zimbabweans have become hopeless as they see no prospects of any Political change in the Country.Zimbabwe has always been an Outpost of Tyranny and Dictatorship since attainment of independence, to the extend that even international organisations like UN,EU,AU and SADC have failed to intervene so as to set up Democratic institutions and systems that allow for holding of free, and fair elections.
In 2008 we had one of the worst violent election ever since attainment of independence.More than 300 Opposition MDC Members were abducted and killed cold blooded style, under Mugabe,s rulership.Mnangagwa was part and parcel of the system.Mugabe won the controversial 2008 election in a one Man rerun race, which lead to the formation of a SADC brokered power sharing Government in 2009.In 2013 the General election was rigged again by the same evil system that Controls ZEC,the Country,s election Management Commission.ZEC is manned by members of the dreaded CIO and MID who want to make sure that there can never be an Opposition Government in Zimbabwe. The Chief Elections Officer Uthoile Silaigwana is a retired Major from the ZNA, and most of the Staff members at ZEC are from the CIO.It is impossible for ZEC to do a professional job during any election because the institution is under the strong control of Zanu Pf, and heavily militarised.Zimbabwe,s Democracy also faces the threat of the War Council body called JOC, Joint Operations Command.JOC is made up of 145 highly trained Security Personnel from the Army,Police,CIO,AirForce, Prison Correctional Serivices and the Presidium. Those War Council Members from the Security Sector always determine the Election outcome and the destiny of this Country.Zimbabwe is under Military rule owned by Zanu Pf and backed their vanguard the Veterans who fought the War of Liberation. These War Veterans are earning Peanuts in Pensions earning $16 000 Zimbabwean Bond notes each per month, which is equivalent to USD$160.Why the Veterans of the war of liberation continue to support such an evil system like Zanu Pf, which does not care about their welfare, nobody knows. Those in higher echelons of Power at Zanu Pf are enjoying life, living luxurious life styles, yet the War Veterans are wallowing in abject Poverty.
The 15 August 2021 Zambian election has taught us some good lessons as Zimbabweans. We have learnt that there is need to mobilize millions of youths to register to vote. The youths constitute 60 % of the Country’s Population, hence they have a big say in any electoral outcome.Hichilema managed to convince and mobilize millions of youths in his country to register to vote and it worked in his favour. The Zambian Opposition leader had sufficient resources to meet the electoral needs for his Party which made it easy for him to win.Election agents and observers were prperly cartered for.MDCA in Zimbabwe must look for sufficient resources to win future elections. The Zambian youths ferociously defended their election Victory after voting, they stayed outside the Polling Centres until completion of the counting and announcement of the results. In Zimbabwe the voter goes straight home to rest, Gochie Gochie or sleep immediately after casting their vote leaving the vote unprotected.A Vote needs to be guarded and defended jealousy.
The difference between Zambia and all other African Countries when it comes to Governance and Democratic systems is that, Zambian leaders respect their Constitution, yet in countries like Zimbabwe and Uganda the Constitution only exists on paper, practically it is not respected.Failure to respect our Constitution started when RG Mugabe was still in power. The same habbit has been perpetuated by ED Mnangagwa and the Millitary Junta. The best way to deal with the Millitarised Zimbabwean State System is by inviting United Nations,EU,AU,and SADC Monitors, not observers only during Elections.SADC has proved to be a dishonest institution, they cannot be rellied upon or trusted when Countries go for elections in Africa. The organization is biased torwards former liberation war Movements, and sitting Governments.AU has proved to be much better when in observing and assessment of Elections in Member States.
Even the United Nations,EU and US must learn from the Zambian Electoral and Constitutional System that is Democratic, transparent, free and fair. The Zambian Army,Police and Intelligence Services do not get involved in helping rigging or manipulation of election results, like what happens in Zimbabwe.
Zanu Pf Regime must be ashamed for not respecting People’s Constitutional rights in Zimbabwe, the fact that the Party is composed of former liberation War Veterans who are the Part,s vanguard, that must not give the wicked and evil Party a tittle deeds to own the People of this Country.
We want to congratulate the People of Zambia,Army,Police and intelligence Services for upholding their Constitution and respecting the rule of Law.In Malawi it was not a smooth transfer of power as the election was besset with violence and rigging, had it not been for the resilience and bravery of the Malawian Citizens, the ruling Party’s intension was a massive rigging.
African Leaders who most of them are dictators must learn to respect their countries Constitutions, which is the Supreme law of any Country.President Mnangagwa and his Spokesman George Charamba were heard openly declaring that Zanu Pf shall not relinquish Power even if the Party faces election defeat in 2023.It is a Shame on you President Mnangagwa and your Spokesman to be recorded and quoted uttering such reckless statements that promotes violence. The time is coming when GOD Almighty shall say shut up and go, Zanu Pf,you have caused too much suffering and looting of Zimbabwean economic resources through your corrupt activities and bad Governance.Good Lessons must be learnt from the Zambian electoral laws and Systems of Governance.

By Mthuli Ncube| With Zimbabwe leading the continent on vaccination figures and the economy stabilising by the day, there is much to look forward to as we continue with our wholesale reforms.
And with the world focusing on vaccinations to the terrible Covid-19 pandemic, Zimbabwe is set to receive its own vital shot in the arm, an economic shot.
Economic growth is already expected to reach around 7,8 percent this year and inflation is dropping by the day.
With this in the background, the IMF’s declaration that Zimbabwe will have access to deploy nearly US$1 billion in special drawing rights, is just the booster this economy needs.
This move is a truly encouraging vote of confidence from the international community in the New Zimbabwe, its reforms, and its positive direction.
How we spend these funds is vital.
We intend to focus the SDRs (Special Drawing Rights) on areas that support this robust economic recovery and importantly support key social programmes.
Allocation can thus be broken into four main areas:
The social sector; covering health, education, and the social safety nets;
The productive sector; supporting agriculture, industry and manufacturing, and the mining sector;
Infrastructure investments, and
Contingency resources, and foreign currency reserves for supporting macro-economic stability going forward.
These SDRs will therefore target the areas that have been hit hardest by the pandemic, and provide a crucial lifeline to the most vulnerable members of our society, many of whom are yet to the feel trickle down effects of the macro-economic stabilisation.
Health
While the majority of these programmes will roll out simultaneously, perhaps the vaccine acquisition is the most urgent.
Zimbabwe has been one of the most proactive and successful countries in Africa at dealing with the pandemic, and as the uptake for vaccination increases, Government will need to be on the ball with the funds to acquire more.
In the realm of health, the current pandemic has underpinned the importance of upgrading our critical hospital infrastructure, especially our central hospitals.
We will therefore be investing in hospitals across the land, while purchasing new equipment ensuring quick and quality healthcare to many who need better access.
Education
In the realm of the education sector, we want to use these funds to build at least eight new boarding schools in rural areas, building about one school per rural province.
These boarding schools are vital to deliver education and a better quality of life for rural children in particular for low-income groups.
We will be equipping these schools, and others, with state-of-the-art solar power facilities to back up power from the normal grid power.
Welfare
Crucially, these funds will be used to support emergency measures for the most vulnerable members of society, through what we call productive social safety nets.
Cash/food for Work Schemes will be set up to encourage those who can work to work, whilst utilising the same schemes to support the elderly and disabled who perhaps are unable or can no longer integrate into the workforce.
Growth
It is of the utmost importance, however, that these funds provide a return; the SDRs must grow and as they grow they drive the economy in the process.
There are three sub-sectors within Zimbabwe’s productive sector which require urgent investment and upgrading: agriculture, industry/manufacturing and mining.
Zimbabwe’s agriculture is historically the backbone of our economy. For many it is all they know. So, we must invest in efficiency, technology, and improving yields.
One initiative is to support a “Revolving Fund”, which will support Flora culture, which is the growing and selling of flowers, blueberries, and macadamia, among other cash crops or water culture crops.
These tend to be export crops with a decent return on investment. Profits can then be used to repay debts and further invest in the most advanced techniques and technologies.
We will also be investing in smallholder irrigation schemes to again support our vulnerable farmers who have been hit hard by Covid.
These are industries which used to thrive in Zimbabwe, but over the years, crucial components of the value chain have been lost. It is in these carefully mapped out areas where we must invest.
There are dams, water bodies and water systems which must be climate proofed and upgraded for modern agriculture for smallholder farmers.
Within industry, manufacturing is vital in terms of job creation. We want to set up a “re-tooling fund” that will enhance our value chains around cotton, leather, pharmaceuticals and agro-processing.
These core components of a healthy industrial economy, the missing links of the value chain, will be brought back to life.
The idea with both the agricultural sector and industry is to leverage private sector funds.
With SDRs in the background providing a form of guarantee, a private sector bank can extend the financing facility to a company that has been identified as a value chain enhancer.
So, it’s not just money from Government or the IMF, but we can use the new climate to leverage private sector support; a public private partnership principle in the deployment of these SDRs.
Mining
The gold sector is another area with huge potential for Zimbabwe.
Our small-scale producers produce about 60 percent of our gold.
We must support these small-scale producers; most of whom are young and entrepreneurial.
The idea, therefore, is to invest in at least 10 “Gold Centres” across the country.
Each centre is a one stop shop, which will allow the miner to have access to equipment and transportation and a regulated mechanism through which they can get paid.
This will help Government manage leakage, while supporting the young small-scale miners who need help, support, and capital.
It will also allow a more transparent process for the purchasers of the gold, improving the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, a potential impediment to sector growth.
Infrastructure
Of course, an area that must never be overlooked is infrastructure, in particular housing and road construction.
On road construction, we are again looking to see quick and sustainable returns on our investment, developing roads in the areas where there’s potential for tourism, or for agricultural sector development.
And last, but certainly not least, some of these funds will be used to maintain the incredible macro-economic stability which has drawn praise from international institutions and globally-respected economists.
Reserves
We must continue to build our international foreign currency reserves to support the domestic currency which has performed so valiantly thus far. Setting aside resources to buttress the currency can ensure that the downward trend in inflation is maintained.
Experts, both domestic and global, are predicting a brighter economic future just over the horizon for the people of Zimbabwe.
In conjunction with our friends in the international community, we are confident that we can build on the impressive macro-economic stability we have achieved.
Through the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS 1) we can now firmly focus our efforts on renewed growth and prosperity for the benefit of all our citizens.

By A Correspondent- The MDC Alliance has accused legislators who became MPs on its ticket and dumped the party for the MDC-T led by Douglas Mwonzora in order to retain their positions of being sellouts who sacrificed the electorate for selfish gains.
This followed the announcement by Mwonzora last week of an MDCT shadow Cabinet comprising legislators who used the MDC Alliance ticket to get into Parliament, including chairperson Morgen Komichi (Defence and War Veterans), Vincent Tsvangirai (Youth, Sports and Culture), Khalipani Phugeni (ICT), Tapiwa Mashakada (Finance and Economic Development), Yvonne Musarurwa (Environment) and Brian Dube (Foreign Affairs).
The MDC-T list also has Peter Moyo (State Security), Ruth Labode (Health), and Tichivanani Mavetera (Transport), among others.
MDC Alliance deputy national spokesperson Felix Magalela Sibanda said it was a waste of time for the Mwonzora faction to appoint a shadow Cabinet when it had no following.
“The so-called appointees are opportunists and Mwonzora is trying to cause confusion on the part of the electorate.
“Dube, who claims to be a legal mind, was elected into office on an MDC Alliance ticket in Gweru, where people are now labelling him a sell-out,” Sibanda said.
“They are all opportunists looking for power and we are not worried about them.
“We are not surprised by these opportunists. The MDC-T has no followers and Mwonzora’s legitimacy was only directed by the courts,” he said.
Sibanda said the so-called shadow Cabinet had exposed that Mwonzora had no qualified personnel to lead government departments and portfolios.
“Some of them are known opportunists trotting for high posts in any and every political formation, like Komichi and Mashakada.
“The majority of the so-called appointees suffer from the power hunger syndrome,” he said.
“It’s no longer a guess as to who still represents the people after some of our MPs emerged as shadow ministers for an anti-electorate Mwonzora group.”

LET US ALL GET BETTER ORGANISED SO WE CAN DELIVER BETTER LIVES FOR ALL OUR PEOPLE.
I INVITE ALL POLITICAL PARTIES TO WORK WITH US WITHIN THE REMITS OF A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY.
WE MUST PUT ASIDE OUR ELECTION RELATED AND OTHER DIFFERENCES AND PULL IN ONE DIRECTION AS A COUNTRY.
WE HAVE A LOT MORE THINGS THAT UNITE US THAN THOSE THAT DIVIDE US.
WE MUST DEVOTE OUR ENERGIES TO CONTRIBUTE MEANINGFULLY TO OUR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
I INVITE THE CHURCH AND THE TRADITIONAL LEADERS TO CONTINUE PROVIDING SPIRITUAL AND MORAL GUIDANCE AND TO BE TRUE PARTNERS IN DEVELOPMENT IN PURSUIT OF BETTER LIVES FOR OUR PEOPLE.

GOING FORWARD, YOU WILL SEE RATIONALITY, PRUDENCE AND EFFECTIVENESS FROM OUR SIDE.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
OUR FOCUS OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS WILL BE ON RESTORING MACRO-ECONOMIC STABILITY AND PROMOTING GROWTH OF THE ECONOMY.
WE WILL PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO LOWERING THE FISCAL DEFICIT, REDUCING PUBLIC DEBT AND RESTORING SOCIAL AND MARKET CONFIDENCE.
WE WILL ALSO PROMOTE NATIONAL UNITY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE BY STRICT ADHERENCE TO THE RULE OF LAW.
WE WILL FOCUS ON INCLUSION AND NOT EXCLUSION.
UNITY, AND NOT DIVISION.
GATHERING AND NOT SCATTERING.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
(I) ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT
OVER THE LAST DECADE, WE HAVE WITNESSED THE EROSION OF OUR ECONOMY.
THE DEBT SITUATION HAS BECOME UNSUSTAINABLE, REDUCING THE COUNTRY’S CAPACITY TO INVEST IN PRODUCTIVE AREAS OF OUR ECONOMY AND ADDRESS THE GAPS IN HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION AND OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES.
OUR NATIONAL BUDGET HAS BEEN OVERWHELMED BY DEBT SERVICING, EMOLUMENTS AND CONSUMPTION, WHEN THERE SHOULD BE GREATER ROOM FOR INVESTMENT, FOR GROWTH.
THE HIGH LEVELS OF UNEMPLOYMENT, ESPECIALLY AMONG OUR YOUTH IS OF GREAT CONCERN TO US AND THIS WILL BE HIGH ON OUR AGENDA TO ADDRESS.
FOOD SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AND AFFORDABLE FOR THE PEOPLE.
THE PEOPLE HAVE HOPE AND EXPECT US TO ADDRESS THE COST OF LIVING THAT IS BEYOND THE REACH OF THE MAJORITY OF OUR CITIZENS.
THE SCOURGE OF CORRUPTION HAS NOT ONLY ERODED OUR MUCH-NEEDED RESOURCES, BUT IT HAS ALSO ROBBED US OF THE OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH.
WE SHALL HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE TO CORRUPTION.
THIS WILL BE OUR HALLMARK. THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION WILL BE PROFESSIONAL AND NOT VINDICTIVE.
THE INSTITUTIONS MANDATED TO INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE WILL BE GIVEN UNFETTERED AUTONOMY TO EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY CARRY OUT THEIR MANDATE WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOUR OF POLITICAL BIAS.
WE ARE DETERMINED TO FREE OUR COUNTRY FROM THE ILLS OF MISMANAGEMENT AND MALPRACTICE, AND PROMOTE THAT WHICH IS BETTER.
WE WILL UNDERTAKE AN AMBITIOUS ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION AGENDA TO MOVE ZAMBIA FORWARD, CREATE EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL OUR PEOPLE, AND REDUCE POVERTY.
WE BELIEVE THAT A TIME WILL COME WHEN POVERTY IN OUR COUNTRY WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
NO ZAMBIAN SHOULD GO TO BED HUNGRY.
NO EFFORT SHOULD BE SPARED IN SALVAGING THE CHILDREN ON THE STREETS OR THOSE ENGAGED IN VICES SUCH AS ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE.
OUR ADMINISTRATION WILL ALSO PRIORITISE ESTABLISHING A STABLE AND PREDICTABLE ENVIRONMENT THAT WILL PROMOTE PRIVATE LOCAL, REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT, PROTECTION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY AND GROWTH AND GENERATE VALUE FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN OUR SOCIETY.
WE WILL AGGRESIVELY PROMOTE THE CREATION OF JOBS AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT WILL CREATE WEALTH, ESPECIALLY FOR OUR YOUTH, WOMEN AND INDEED ALL CITIZENS.
GOD HAS BLESSED US WITH ABUNDANT NATURAL, HUMAN AND OTHER RESOURCES THAT WE WILL DERIVE GREATER VALUE FROM, THOUGH VALUE ADDITION AND THE PROMOTION OF GREATER SUPPLY CHAIN PARTICIPATION BY OUR CITIZENS.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
SOME OF OUR KEY PRIORITY SECTORS THAT WILL DRIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND REDUCE POVERTY, ARE AGRICULTURE, MINING, ENERGY, FINANCIAL SERVICES, TOURISM, TECHNOLOGY, HEALTH AND EDUCATION.
IN AGRICULTURE, WE WILL WORK TO ENHANCE PRODUCTION, AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION SERVICES, MARKET ACCESS, VALUE ADDITION AND LOWERING THE COST OF INPUTS.
IN MINING, WE WILL STRIVE TO INCREASE COPPER AND OTHER MINERAL PRODUCTION SO THAT ZAMBIA CAN RECLAIM ITS PLACE AS ONE OF AFRICA’S LEADING MINING COUNTRIES.
WE SHALL PROMOTE EXPANSION OF THE MINING VALUE CHAIN AS WELL AS THE PROMOTION OF MINERAL DIVERSIFICATION.
WE WILL, THEREFORE, ENCOURAGE THE PRODUCTION AND PROCESSING OF GEMSTONES, GOLD, NICKEL, MANGANESE, IRON, INDUSTRIAL AND OTHER MINERALS.
WE WILL PUT IN PLACE MEASURES TO FACILITATE LOCAL OWNERSHIP AND INCREASED PARTICIPATION OF ZAMBIANS IN THE SECTOR.
RECOGNISING THE IMPORTANCE OF ENERGY FOR DEVELOPMENT, OUR ADMINISTRATION WILL TRANSFORM ZAMBIA INTO AN ENERGY SURPLUS COUNTRY.
WE WILL, THEREFORE, IMPLEMENT AN AMBITIOUS ENERGY INVESTMENT PLAN TO INCREASE POWER GENERATION AND FURTHER BROADEN THE ENERGY MIX.
IN ADDITION, WE WILL PUT IN PLACE A CONDUCIVE POLICY ENVIRONMENT TO ENCOURAGE PRIVATE INVESTMENT IN GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, DISTRIBUTION AND RETAIL IN THE SECTOR.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
TO IMPROVE LAND ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT IN THE COUNTRY, MY ADMINISTRATION WILL PUT IN PLACE A TRANSPARENT POLICY FRAMEWORK.
WE WILL PROMOTE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO LAND FOR ALL CITIZENS.
WE WILL STRENGTHEN THE LAND TENURE SECURITY AND ENHANCE SUSTAINABLE UTILISATION AND PRODUCTIVE MANAGEMENT OF LAND RESOURCES.
THE POTENTIAL OF THE TOURISM SECTOR WILL SOON BE REALISED THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF ZAMBIA AND ITS VARIOUS TOURISM ENDOWMENTS AS THE DESTINATION OF CHOICE.
THIS WILL INCLUDE REVIEWING VISA REQUIREMENTS, BUILDING SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURE AND REVISING TAX RATES.
ECONOMIC COOPERATION, TRADE AND INVESTMENT, SECURITY FOR PEACE AND STABILITY, AND DEVELOPMENT, WILL FORM A CRITICAL BASE FOR OUR FOREIGN POLICY.
(II) NATIONAL UNITY
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
I WANT TO ASSURE THE NATION THAT UNDER OUR ADMINISTRATION, THE ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION MOTTO SHALL BE OUR WAY OF LIFE.
WE ARE INDEED, ONE ZAMBIA AND ONE PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF YOUR RACE OR ETHNICITY.
WE HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR ANY FORM OF DISCRIMINATION AND WE COMMIT TO ENSURING OUR GOVERNMENT WILL BE A REFLECTION OF OUR TEN PROVINCES.
WE TREAT DIVERSITY AS A STRENGTH, NEVER AGAIN SHOULD ANY DIFFERENCE BE USED FOR POLITICAL MILEAGE OR TO FAVOUR ONE OVER ANOTHER.
EVERY CITIZEN WILL BE AVAILED EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF OUR NATION.
WE WILL NOT BE SELECTIVE WHEN IT COMES TO DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COUNTRY.
ALL REGIONS WILL HAVE AN EQUITABLE SHARE OF INVESTMENT.
(III) GOOD GOVERNANCE AND THE RULE OF LAW
THE UPND ALLIANCE ADMINISTRATION WILL ENHANCE GOOD GOVERNANCE AND STRICLY UPHOLD THE RULE OF LAW.
WE WILL LIVE UP TO OUR CAMPAIGN PROMISES BY ENSURING THAT ALL CITIZENS ARE EQUAL BEFORE THE LAW.
WE IN THE EXECUTIVE SHOULD NOT INTERFERE IN THE WORK OF THE OTHER ARMS OF GOVERNMENT.
OUR CONSTITUTION PROVIDES SEPARATION OF POWERS OF THESE ARMS OF GOVERNMENT AND WE WILL, THEREFORE, ENDEAVOUR TO PROMOTE THIS PRINCIPLE IN ORDER TO ENHANCE GOOD GOVERNANCE.
COORDINATION TO DELIVER FOR OUR PEOPLE WILL HOWEVER BE OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE.
FELLOW CITIZENS,
IT IS A NEW DAWN.
THE FOURTH ESTATE, THE MEDIA WILL BE FREED.
TIME HAS COME FOR ALL ZAMBIANS TO BE TRULY FREE.
I WANT TO REITERATE WHAT I SAID DURING MY ACCEPTANCE ADDRESS THAT GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN POLITICAL CADRES WOULD TAKE OVER THE FUNCTIONS OF PUBLIC SERVICE WORKERS IN MARKETS, BUS STATIONS, GOVERNMENT OFFICES, AND OTHER PLACES.
OUR ADMINISTRATION WILL NOT ALLOW SUCH DISORDER.
SANITY WILL RETURN TO ALL PLACES.
THE DAYS OF GOVERNMENT WORKERS BEING RETIRED IN NATIONAL INTEREST FOR POLITICAL OR UNFAIR GROUNDS, ARE OVER.
THE DAYS OF POLITICAL INTERFERENCE IN PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS AND PARASTATALS ARE OVER.
FELLOW CITIZENS,
WITH REGARDS TO EDUCATION, WE WILL PURSUE POLICIES THAT WILL ADDRESS THE CORE BARRIERS OF ACCESS TO EDUCATION.
WE WILL ALSO ENSURE THAT ESTABLISHED STANDARDS FOR QUALITY EDUCATION ARE MET AND ENFORCED.
IN ADDITION, WE WILL ENHANCE LINKAGES BETWEEN EDUCATION AND INDUSTRY TO ENSURE GRADUATES HAVE RELEVANT AND EMPLOYABLE SKILLS.
FURTHER, WE WILL PROMOTE INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR JOB AND WEALTH CREATION.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
TO REALISE THESE ASPIRATIONS IN A SYSTEMATIC MANNER, OUR ADMINISTRATION WILL DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT RATIONALISED, SUCCINCT, AND ACTIONABLE PLANS.
THESE PLANS WILL FOCUS ON ACHIEVING ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND DIGITAL REVOLUTION WITH JOBS AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, TOP ON THE AGENDA.
THE PLAN WILL ALSO INCORPORATE OTHER MEASURES CRITICAL TO THE ATTAINMENT OF OUR NATIONAL VISION TOWARDS BEING A MIDDLE INCOME NATION OVER THE YEARS AHEAD.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
TO ACHIEVE THE ZAMBIA WE WANT, WE MUST WORK TOGETHER AS A PEOPLE.
A PEOPLE UNITED IN DIVERSITY UNDER OUR MOTTO OF “ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION.”
THIS IS WHAT OUR FOUNDING FATHER DR. KAUNDA BELIEVED IN.
TO ACHIEVE THE ZAMBIA WE WANT, WE NEED TO BE COMMITTED TO HARD WORK.
WITH HARD WORK, PATRIOTISM, DISCIPLINE AND DEDICATION, WE WILL ACHIEVE AND ATTAIN OUR NATIONAL ASPIRATIONS.
WE MUST BE INNOVATIVE AND IDENTIFY LOCAL SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS OUR PROBLEMS.
WE MUST BE OPEN TO NEW IDEAS AND AS YOUR GOVERNMENT, WE WILL BE AVAILABLE TO LISTEN AND TO SUPPORT YOU.
WE MUST ENSURE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND INCLUSIVENESS IN OUR DEVELOPMENT AGENDA.
WE MUST MITIGATE AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE AND STRIVE TO BUILD A GREEN ECONOMY.
WE MUST RESPECT, PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF ONE OTHER.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
THE DEFENCE AND PROTECTION OF THE CONSTITUTION OF ZAMBIA, IS CRITICAL TO THE REALISATION OF OUR DEVELOPMENT AGENDA.
EQUALLY IMPORTANT IS THE RESPECT FOR OUR CULTURE AND HERITAGE.
WE NEED ETHICAL AND SERVANT LEADERSHIP AT ALL LEVELS OF SOCIETY.
WE NEED MORALITY, INTEGRITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
UNDER OUR ADMINISTRATION, OUR COUNTRY WILL CONTINUE TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF REGIONAL, CONTINENTAL AND INTERNATIONAL BODIES.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO ENHANCING INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND FOREIGN RELATIONS.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROMOTING OPEN AND CORDIAL RELATIONS WITH OUR NEIGHBOURS AND COUNTRIES ON THE CONTINENT AND BEYOND.
WE ARE EQUALLY COMMITTED TO PURSUING A FOREIGN POLICY BASED ON MUTUAL INTEREST AND RESPECT.
AS INDICATED EARLIER, THE ENHANCEMENT OF ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY AND TRADE FACILITATION WILL BE PARAMOUNT.
FELLOW ZAMBIANS,
I STAND BEFORE YOU AND WITH YOU, AS YOUR PRESIDENT AND A TRUE SERVANT.
A PRESIDENT DEVOTED TO TAKING OUR COUNTRY TO GREATER HEIGHTS.
I PLEDGE A BETTER ZAMBIA FOR ALL.
GOD BLESS US ALL.
GOD BLESS OUR DEMOCRACY.
GOD BLESS OUR GREAT REPUBLIC, ZAMBIA
GOD BLESS AFRICA AND OUR GLOBAL FAMILY.
I THANK YOU ALL
By A Correspondent- The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) says public interviews of candidates nominated to fill nine vacant positions of judges of the High Court will be conducted next week.
In a statement, the JSC said the interviews would be held from 30 August to 1 September at a city hotel and will be streamed live. The JSC said:
As previously advised and in the interests of public health, the Judicial Service Commission discourages members of the public from physically attending at the venue of the interviews.
To ensure compliance with the requirement to hold the interviews in public the proceedings will be streamed live on Judicial Service Commission media platforms (Twitter and Facebook).
The Judicial Service Commission has engaged the national broadcaster, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation, to have the interview proceedings beamed live.
Thirty-five candidates, among them regional magistrates and lawyers, will be interviewed to fill the nine vacant positions of judges of the High Court bench.
In terms of the law, the JSC conducts public interviews for the prospective judges after the nominations and then sends a list of recommended interviewees to the President who may assent to the names or ask the JSC to submit a fresh set of names.
Under the Constitution, a person is qualified for appointment as a judge of the High Court if he or she is at least 40 years old.
The person should also have, for at least 10 years, been qualified to practice as a legal practitioner in Zimbabwe or any country with the same common law as in Zimbabwe, or in a country in which the common law is Roman-Dutch or English.

Message of Solidarity by the Alliance of Community Based Organisations (ACBOs) on Zambia Elections.
Today, the 24th of August 2021, the state of Zambia is inaugurating its 7th President. The Alliance of Community Based Organisations (ACBOs) salute the people of Zambia and would like to congratulate President Elect Hakainde Hichilema for securing the mandate with 2.8 million votes. The Alliance of Community Based Organisations (ACBOs) has followed the course of events in Zambia very closely, and was pleased with the manner in which the elections were conducted.
As ACBOs, we applaud the professional conduct exhibited by the election management body (Electoral Commission of Zambia) and the Zambian security sectors.
The Zambian elections bring to the fore the importance of civic education and the value of strong governance institutions that protect the general citizens. The elections of 12August 2021 managed to get 13.5% of female members into the National Assembly. We call upon the new government to work towards gender parity in political representation.
SADC region is currently experiencing major demographic changes that include a youth bulge that played a significant role in the Zambian electoral process. It is pleasing to note that about 54% of the 7 023 499 registered voters were under the age of 35 years, making the majority of voters being young people.
We applaud the Zambian people for turning out in their numbers to speak through the ballot. It is with delight to note that 70.8% of registered voters came out to vote on election day. As the ACBOs, we appreciate the young people who participated and stopped the electoral process from being just another formality. This became a lesson to the rest of Africa that an electoral process is important and that it can unite people in their belief in democracy, development and the rule of law.
We applaud the smooth transfer of power
We call upon the newly elected HE Hichilema to address structural poverty that the people of Zambia is currently grappling with
We call upon the new government to priorities youth unemployment which currently stand at 22.63%
We call upon the new government to draft youth empowerment policies
We call upon the new government to promote gender equality in all sphere of the Zambian society
We commend the professionalism, integrity and transparency of the Electoral Commission of Zambia

By A Correspondent| Tynwald South residents have expressed concern over the continued construction of a service station and other buildings on a disputed piece of land designated for a primary school, and recently the subject of a provisional court order halting any developments on the stand.
There is a court order issued by Justice Tawanda Chitapi in May 2021 directing the City of Harare to stop any developments on stands 2164 and 2165 which were originally the sites of a primary school for the community of Tynwald South.
Despite this court order, the City of Harare has apparently ignored its contents and have allowed a developer to proceed with their construction of a service station, in contempt of court.
The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights is representing the HRT in court over this disputed land for the primary school.

By A Correspondent- War veterans and their affiliates in Manicaland Province have dumped ZANU PF Manicaland provincial chairman Mike Madiro ahead of the upcoming elections, accusing him of incompetence and failing to unite the party.
Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) Manicaland political commissar Gift Kwageda said the association and its affiliates had decided to dump Madiro and they are now considering Albert Nyakuedzwa and Enock Porusingazi for the post.
Said Kwageda:
We need change in Manicaland province. Comrade Mike Madiro is failing to unite the party in the province and there is confusion in some branches and these are things we are looking at. I am saying it’s time for comrade Madiro to rest.
As the political commissar of the war veterans, we look at the best candidate with the capacity to lead the party and so far, we are weighing two candidates — Makoni district co-ordination committee chairperson Albert Nyakuedzwa and Chipinge South MP Enock Porusingazi.
Those, who want to campaign, are my sons, but we have to put them on a scale and decide on the best candidate.
Both Porusingazi and Nyakuedzwa are eyeing the top seat but NewsDay reported sources on Monday as having said that ZNLWVA affiliates, including the Zimbabwe ex-Political Prisoners Detainees Association (ZIPEDRA), have settled for Nyakuedzwa.
Information Communication Technology minister Jenfan Muswere has reportedly pulled out of the race in support of Nyakuedzwa.
Manicaland ZIPEDRA boss Tambudzai Maponga yesterday said they had already decided on their candidate.
The Zimbabwe Liberation War Collaborators Association Manicaland province led by Angeline Muponda is reportedly behind Nyakuedzwa’s candidature.
