Tsvangirai Aide Predicts Mnangagwa’s Defeat

By- Former Speaker of the National Assembly, Lovemore Moyo, has warned that the 2023 harmonised elections will produce a disputed outcome as happened in the 2018 elections.

In a statement released on Monday, ahead of the 23 August general elections, Moyo said the international community is tired of Zimbabwe’s cycle of disputed elections.

He said:
Once more, the repeat of the 2018 plebiscite, which was disputed, may be in the making and inevitable.
Zimbabweans want an opportunity to make their choices and vote for their preferred party or candidates without fear, intimidation, harassment and election manipulation.
Further, it must be known that the Southern African Development Community, African Union, European Union, America and South Africa, in particular, are exhausted by our recurrent electoral mismanagement, disputes and violence.
Moyo implored the Government and its agencies to ensure a level electoral playing field to prevent a disputed electoral outcome. He said:
In that regard, we call upon the government, law enforcement agencies, political parties, civic society, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission and election observer missions to adhere to election best practices and standards in the execution of their respective duties conscientiously and without fear or favour.
In the same vein, we call upon the police, military, and other law enforcement agencies to remain true and loyal to their oath of service during election time and beyond.
In 2018, the main opposition presidential contender Nelson Chamisa unsuccessfully challenged the results at the Constitutional Court alleging rigging by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) in favour of the ruling ZANU PF party.
ZEC declared that the ZANU PF presidential candidate, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, had won the poll, a result which was upheld by the Constitutional Court.
Moreover, security officers opened fire on protestors in Harare on 01 August, killing seven people and injuring several others.

Mnangagwa Bribes Judges With Houses Ahead Of Elections

By- The Government has granted substantial housing loans to all judges ahead of the national elections due in two months’ time.

According to reports, an impressive sum of US$400,000 has been allocated to support the housing needs of these esteemed individuals.
While undoubtedly raising eyebrows among citizens, the decision has sparked intense discussions and debates within the political landscape. With elections looming on the horizon, critics and proponents alike are eager to dissect the implications of this move by the Government.
Some argue that the timing of this housing loan provision appears suspicious, suggesting potential political motivations at play. Skepticism surrounding the timing undoubtedly adds fuel to the fire of speculation, as it coincides with the upcoming elections. Concerns have been raised about the possibility of influencing the impartiality of the judiciary during this crucial period.
On the other hand, supporters of the initiative maintain that the housing loans are a well-deserved recognition of the judges’ indispensable role in upholding justice and maintaining a functional legal system. They emphasize that providing a secure housing arrangement for judges could help ensure their continued commitment to serving the nation with integrity and dedication.
As discussions unfold, the public awaits further clarification from both the Government and the judiciary on the rationale behind this decision. Transparency and accountability are crucial in ensuring public trust in the judiciary and its independence from political influence.
Ultimately, the impact of these housing loans on the upcoming elections and the country’s judicial system remains to be seen. As citizens exercise their democratic right to vote, they will undoubtedly consider various factors, including this controversial move, when making their choices. The electorate’s decision will ultimately shape the future trajectory of the nation and determine the extent to which the judiciary’s integrity is upheld.

Chamisa Warns Rogue Party Officials

By James Gwati- Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa, has warned his senior party official who failed to make it in the 2023 elections candidates’ nomination against contesting the results.

Chamisa said this on Twitter Wednesday amid reports several of his lieutenants were disqualified and were planning to appeal against the results.

The CCC leader said anyone who opposes these pending results would be punished.

He tweeted:

NOT DIGGERS AND DEALERS…The Citizens representatives have been chosen by communities across Zimbabwe. It’s so exciting that we have credible representatives for Parliament and Council. Whoever is after self gain or self care will not serve in the new! Whoever uses money and trinkets to buy citizens or bribe voters can’t serve. Whoever is tainted, compromised or plays for the other team can’t serve! Zimbabwe needs change and deserves truly new leaders! Blessings to you!

Most losers are in Bulawayo Province and were reportedly disqualified during the verification process.

The verification process started on Friday and ended on Saturday in Bulawayo.

According to NewsDay, most of the sitting councillors and some Members of Parliament were disqualified as the opposition party tries to remove suspected secret agents from genuine members.

Some aspiring candidates were reportedly disqualified for vote-buying and bussing supporters. Said a source:

Besides the 11th-hour disqualification of almost all incumbents, the process proceeded smoothly in all wards except in ward 24, where the caucus didn’t take place on numerous allegations of bussing (in of voters).

CCC deputy spokesperson Gift Siziba who will represent the party in Pelandaba-Tshabalala said:

I have just received a report from our security department that some of my good friends have been vetted out because you know this struggle has taken too long, so we are dealing with sell-outs and nincompoops in our midst.

Siziba made the remarks at the launch of the Deputy Prime Minister in the 2009-13 Government of National Unity, Arthur Mutambara’s book on Friday.

In Bulawayo’s Ward 25, there were alleged attempts to disqualify Alderman Mzamo Dube after he was overwhelmingly nominated. Said a source:

The process was chaotic because whoever was able to transport people was ahead. The process was also slow, and there was sheer disregard for people’s time.

Vote-buying allegations were flying all over as some candidates were buying people with US$5 notes and alcohol.

In Cowdray Park, former Deputy Prime Minister Thokozani Khupe will face Finance and Economic Development Minister Mthuli Ncube.

In Nkulumane, CCC will be represented by Desire Moyo, while Tendai Nyathi will represent the opposition party in Lobengula-Magwegwe where Kucaca Phulu is currently the MP.

The other nominees, subject to confirmation by the party are as follows:

  • Pumula – Chelesile Mahlangu
  • Bulawayo Central – urrender Kapoikulu
  • Luveve-Emakhandeni – Descent Bajila
  • Bulawayo North – Minenhle Gumede
  • Bulawayo South – Engineer Mangwendeza
  • Mpopoma-Mzilikazi – Desmond Makaza

Some CCC insiders claimed that ZANU PF affiliate Forever Associates Zimbabwe (FAZ) was actively involved in several caucuses where they funded weaker candidates in various areas.

LEAKED-Wicknell Chivayo Reveals Money Secrets

Wicknell Chivayo’s Lavish Lifestyle: An Analysis of His Controversial Wealth Amidst Accusations.

Wicknell Chivayo’s new fleet of cars

By Baba Jukwa | In recent times, Wicknell Chivayo, a controversial businessman, has been making headlines due to his opulent lifestyle, which includes the acquisition of a fleet of expensive cars. However, these ostentatious displays of wealth have raised eyebrows, especially given the accusations that he is associated with the notorious Goldmafia, an alleged group involved in the looting of mineral resources through airports. While Chivayo maintains that his wealth is legitimate, it is important to analyze the source of his millions and his involvement in tender processes across various countries.

Chivayo’s wealth accumulation has been a subject of speculation and controversy. Critics argue that his riches are connected to his alleged association with the Gokdmafia, a criminal network involved in illegal mineral resource activities. The accusations suggest that Chivayo, leveraging his connections and influence, has benefited from these illicit activities. However, it is crucial to note that these claims remain allegations until proven in a court of law.

Amidst the swirling controversies, Chivayo himself has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and has openly defended his wealth. In his statement, he highlights what he terms the hard work and sleepless nights he has endured to prepare tender documents for submission in various countries such as Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, and Kenya. He attributes his success to his diligence and persistence, asserting that his wealth is the fruit of legitimate business ventures.

It is essential to objectively assess Chivayo’s claims. While his statement appears to justify his wealth through hard work and legitimate business dealings, it is important to conduct a comprehensive investigation into his activities. Scrutinizing the tender processes he has been involved in across multiple countries is crucial to establish the validity of his assertions.

Furthermore, his extravagant lifestyle, characterized by the acquisition of luxurious cars, raises questions about the proportionality of his wealth to his known business ventures. Such opulence can often invite skepticism, especially in the absence of transparent evidence regarding the legality and legitimacy of his financial dealings.

Given the seriousness of the accusations surrounding Chivayo, it is imperative for law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into his business activities. Transparency and accountability should be the guiding principles in determining the source of his wealth.

He commented saying:
“I go through sleepless nights through the years preparing impeccable tender documents in time for submission deadlines in Mozambique, Zambia , Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya.!!! Too much pain I’ve endured so it’s NOW MY TIME to enjoy THE HARD WORK…CRITICS please be a little more patient. I have a lot more in store for you…???…???…???”

In conclusion, Wicknell Chivayo’s lavish lifestyle, accompanied by allegations of involvement with the Goldmafia, has sparked public interest and concern. While Chivayo asserts that his wealth is a result of hard work and legitimate business endeavors, the accusations against him warrant a comprehensive investigation, and this one leads to tendepreneurship than anything else.

PSL Suspends All Matches

The Premier Soccer League confirmed the suspension of all league games with immediate effect.

The suspension is due to maintenance work on water reticulation at National Sports Stadium in Harare.

This leaves the capital without certified venues to host the games.

The stadium currently hosts at least four games per week, which is almost half of the games per matchday.

Eight out of eighteen teams have been using the ground as their home stadium.

The games will resume on the 1st of July 2023.

A statement by the league reads: “This serves to advise that the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League is taking a break with immediate effect and will resume on the 1st of July 2023.

“This has been necessitated by the maintenance work on water reticulation being carried out at the National Sports Stadium and to allow the playing field to regenerate.

“We also expect refurbishment works at Rufaro, Nyamhunga and Dakubbva Stadia to be completed before we resume Castle Lager PSL matches.”- Soccer24 News

Billiat To Stay At Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly decided on Khama Billiat’s Chiefs as his contract is coming to an end.

The Zimbabwean midfielder’s five-year deal is set to expire at the end of this month and the talks only started after the South African season ended late last month.

According to Soccer Laduma, Billiat received few offers, including one from Tanzanian giants Young Africans, and his representatives decided that staying at Naturena for another season was, in their opinion, his best possible option.

The publication adds that negotiations have progressed well, and the parties have agreed on a new one-year deal.

An unnamed source was quoted as saying: “The team wanted to hear from the player’s side if he wanted to stay with the conditions they were giving him and it came to light that the player wanted to stay.

“They have agreed on most of the issues included in the contract which I am not at liberty to say. But what I can say is that they have agreed on a new one-year renewable deal.”- Soccer24 News

Common Symptoms Of Flu

Flu or Cold Symptoms?

When you wake up sneezing, coughing, and have that achy, feverish, can’t move a muscle feeling, how do you know whether you have cold symptoms or the flu?

It’s important to know the difference between flu and cold symptoms. A cold is a milder respiratory illness than the flu. While cold symptoms can make you feel bad for a few days, flu symptoms can make you feel quite ill for a few days to weeks. The flu can also result in serious health problems such as pneumonia and hospitalizations.

What are common cold symptoms?
Cold symptoms usually begin with a sore throat, which usually goes away after a day or two. Nasal symptoms, runny nose, and congestion follow, along with a cough by the fourth and fifth days. Fever is uncommon in adults, but a slight fever is possible. Children are more likely to have a fever with a cold.

With cold symptoms, the nose teems with watery nasal secretions for the first few days. Later, these become thicker and darker. Dark mucus is natural and does not usually mean you have developed a bacterial infection, such as a sinus infection.

Several hundred different viruses may cause your cold symptoms.

How long do cold symptoms last?
Cold symptoms usually last for about a week. During the first three days that you have cold symptoms, you are contagious. This means you can pass the cold to others, so stay home and get some much-needed rest.

If cold symptoms do not seem to be improving after a week, you may have a bacterial infection, which means you may need antibiotics.

Sometimes you may mistake cold symptoms for allergic rhinitis (hay fever) or a sinus infection. If cold symptoms begin quickly and are improving after a week, then it is usually a cold, not allergy. If your cold symptoms do not seem to be getting better after a week, check with your doctor to see if you have developed an allergy or sinusitis.

What are common flu symptoms?
Flu symptoms are usually more severe than cold symptoms and come on quickly. Symptoms of fluinclude sore throat, fever, headache, muscle aches and soreness, congestion, and cough. Swine flu in particular is also associated with vomiting and diarrhea.

Most flu symptoms gradually improve over two to five days, but it’s not uncommon to feel run down for a week or more. A common complication of the flu is pneumonia, particularly in the young, elderly, or people with lung or heart problems. If you notice shortness of breath, let your doctor know. Another common sign of pneumonia is fever that comes back after having been gone for a day or two.

Just like cold viruses, flu viruses enter your body through the mucous membranes of the nose, eyes, or mouth. Every time you touch your hand to one of these areas, you could be infecting yourself with a virus, which makes it very important to keep hands germ-free with frequent washing to prevent both flu and cold symptoms.

Is it flu or cold symptoms?
How do you know if you have flu or cold symptoms? Take your temperature, say many experts. Flu symptoms often mimic cold symptoms with nasal congestion, cough, aches, and malaise. But a common cold rarely has symptoms of fever above 101 degrees. With flu symptoms, you will probably have a fever initially with the flu virus and you will feel miserable. Body and muscle aches are also more common with the flu. This table can help determine if you have cold or flu symptoms.

Small Scale Miners And Lack Of Funding

By A Correspondent| Lack of sound sponsorship and dearth of basic empowerment skills are the main problems affecting artisanal miners.

Lack of insurance is another factor affecting miners.

In a bid to empower and equip miners with essential skills, Three Wingers Enterprises, a Zimbabwean company that focuses on mining consultancy, has embarked on offering theoretical and practical assistance to miners.

See presentation below:

SMART MINING OR SPONSORSHIP

Artisanal mining is sustained by what is commonly called sponsorship, sponsors bring money , food , diesel , explosives , headgears and expertise.

They either bring all or one of them to help miner owner and workers achieve what they couldn’t do on their own .

Bringing all increases risks of huge loses but decreases chances of losing when you indeed make money . Basically sponsorship is the unrecognised life blood of Artisanal mining directly or indirectly. It ranges from formal agreements, informal written to equipment hire loan , truck loan , milling loan even informal cash loan of mouth watering amounts passed within two parties without any writing on paper .

Those that are usually paid back come with huge profits of over 100% those who are not paid back usually disappear for ever .

We once wanted to do a video documentary of how it disappear or multiple by giving a full recorded mining activity from day one unfortunately resources limited us . In these series we will first list in this article reasons why some of the sponsorship monies are not paid back then cover in detail explain how it works .
REASONS FOR FAILURE TO PAY BACK SPONSORSHIP IN EXACT ORDER
1 under sponsorship
2 lack of knowledge of Artisanal mining
3 improper monitoring tools
4 lack of insurance ( guarantee)
5 hitting a gold dry spell
6 failing to include all parties when signing.

1 UNDER SPONSOR
This is a situation whereby you sponsor with insufficient funds and leave key areas of the transaction to make it a success unattended risking low returns or encouraging other co-sponsors to be included without your knowledge to come in with better understanding of mining thereby taking you out of the picture.
Before you sponsor ask questions that would clearly paint the picture of exactly how much is the total cost of the transaction who covers what and what is expected of you how long it will take ( always multiply their estimated time by 3 ) . Sometimes what the miner owner needs is money for personal use let that be spelled out clearly know what you are getting into most things used at the mine are found in all major towns in Zimbabwe. Inorder to reduce risks look for a mining consultancy company to do analysis and agreements writing for you at a fee .

Below is a general list of first level mining and general prices then lastly available ongoing mines ready for sponsorships
1 compressor hire 10% of proceeds
2diesel 200litres
3 explosives set 3boxes 1000usd
4 Food 150usd
5 Petty cash 100usd
6 ore transportation and permits paid after process .

List of sponsorship opportunities
1 mining consultant company 3000usd long term engagement terms discussed
2 repairing tanks 1500usd longterm with minimum returns 300usd per month .

3 explosives and diesel x 4mines
4 mine open full scale joint venture open budget
5 Lithium mines both joint venture and purchase.

Is Kasukuwere Zimbabwe’s Political Saviour ?

ZimEye analysis…

The upcoming 2023 elections in Zimbabwe are shaping up to be a crucial moment in the country’s political landscape. With two prominent figures vying for power, Saviour Kasukuwere and Nelson Chamisa, it is essential to analyze their abilities to garner electoral support and assess their potential to secure victory. While Chamisa enjoys a significant advantage with over 85% of the electorate behind him, Kasukuwere’s base consists primarily of selectors and elite upper-class supporters. This article will delve into their backgrounds, political standing, and the implications they may have on the electoral outcome.

Background:
Nelson Chamisa has emerged as a prominent opposition figure in Zimbabwe. As the leader of the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance (MDC-A), he has successfully mobilized a substantial following across the country. Chamisa’s popularity largely stems from his charismatic leadership style, youthful energy, and promises of democratic reform and economic revitalization. His strong grassroots support and appeal to the younger generation have bolstered his chances of assuming power.

On the other hand, Saviour Kasukuwere’s entrance into presidential politics carries a sense of uncertainty. Formerly a powerful figure within the ruling ZANU-PF party, Kasukuwere was the major irritant to the rebellious military in 2017, which ultimately led to the removal of Robert Mugabe. Consequently, Kasukuwere is viewed as Mugabe’s potential successor and has occupied influential positions within the ZANU-PF, such as political commissar. However, some argue that Kasukuwere’s involvement in the political arena may be part of a strategy to dilute Nelson Chamisa’s support base, as suggested by media expert Pedzisayi Ruhanya.

Electoral Dynamics:
In terms of electoral power, Nelson Chamisa undeniably holds a significant advantage. With over 85% of the electorate supporting him, his grassroots appeal and extensive mobilization efforts have allowed him to gain widespread popularity. Chamisa’s message of change and reform resonates with many Zimbabweans, particularly the disillusioned youth, who view him as a symbol of hope for a brighter future.

In contrast, Saviour Kasukuwere’s support base primarily consists of selectors and members of the elite upper class. This limited electoral backing poses a challenge for his presidential bid. Zimbabwe has historically operated under a system that privileges the elite and the deep state cluster, disregarding the one man, one vote principle. However, this system, though unpopular, has consistently maintained power regardless of opposition. Kasukuwere’s reliance on this traditional power structure may limit his ability to garner broader popular support.

Implications and Potential Outcomes:
Kasukuwere’s entrance into presidential politics carries inherent risks. While there is a chance that electors may favor him over the relatively junior Chamisa, the odds are stacked against him. It is plausible that Kasukuwere’s candidacy might inadvertently benefit Chamisa by splitting the ruling party’s support base. Similar to the impact Simba Makoni had in the 2008 elections, where he managed to damage then-President Robert Mugabe’s support base, Kasukuwere might find himself unable to gather substantial support beyond a small percentage, thus becoming an asset to Chamisa’s campaign.

Conclusion:
The 2023 elections in Zimbabwe will undoubtedly be a critical juncture for the country’s political trajectory. Nelson Chamisa’s broad support base, charismatic leadership, and promises of democratic reform and economic revitalization have positioned him as a formidable contender. On the other hand, Saviour Kasukuwere’s entrance into presidential politics remains shrouded in uncertainty, as his reliance on the traditional power structure and limited electoral backing pose significant challenges.

Family Of Six Now Require ZWL$1 Million To Survive

The Consumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ) says a family of six now requires $1 million a month to survive, up from $611 275 in April, reflecting the depth of the Zimdollar’s crash and resultant price spikes.

Zimbabwe is now caught up in a vortex of a rapidly weakening currency, rising inflation, price spikes that have left workers facing impoverishment as wages and earnings fail to keep pace.

Yesterday, the Zimbabwe dollar further crashed to $3 555 from $2 577 against the US dollar, where the highest bid was at $4 100.

On the parallel market, the Zimdollar was trading at 1:6 000 against the greenback.

CCZ director Rosemary Mpofu said the cost of living rose by 62% between April and May, while the prices of goods and services in United States dollars had gone down by 31,4 %.

“The Consumer Council of Zimbabwe low-income urban earner monthly basket for a family of six stands currently at $1 015 962,61,” Mpofu said.

“This is a sharp increase because the basket has shot from the month of April, where it was $611 275. When we look at the basket as we measure it, we find out that the low-income earner is mainly earning in the Zimbabwean dollar.

“But the cost of living has really increased from the April figure to the May figure and it has constituted a percentage increase of 62,2%.

“The new analysis that we use in US$ has decreased by 31,4% so prices have increased in Zimbabwe dollar terms and yet in US$ have decreased by 31,4%.”

Last month, the Zimdollar tumbled by nearly 60% on the official market, the biggest collapse in one month since the auction system was introduced three years ago.

Latest statistics by the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency show that the annual inflation shot by 11,3 percentage points from April to 86,5% in May.

Monthly inflation has reached double digits after rising sharply from 2,4% in April to 15,7% in May.

Steve Hanke, a professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, argues that Zimbabwe’s inflation is at 717%.

Harare Magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti, Prosecutor Michael Reza Accused Of Alleged Bias Against Katsimberis Lawyers

Top lawyer Advocate Tino Chinyoka has accused Harare magistrate Vongai Guwuriro-Muchuchuti of allowing a toxic environment to prevail in court due to her alleged negative and biased attitude towards property developer George Katsimberis’ legal representatives.

Chinyoka said Muchuchuti has been showing bias in her attitude towards deputy prosecutor-general Michael Reza’s determination to have court processes proceed against Katsimberis in the absence of his lawyers.

He said Reza’s impartiality in the case raised suspicion that he might have been incentivised.

Chinyoka made the accusations on Monday while responding to Reza’s response to his application for Muchuchuti to recuse herself from the case where Katsimberis is being accused by controversial businessman Ken Sharpe’s Pokugara Properties of fraud.

The application for recusal came after Muchuchuti was sued by lawyer Millicent Moyo, of Mutumbwa, Mugabe and Partners for allegedly making false statements in court.

Muchuchuti berated Moyo claiming the lawyer lied in court that Chinyoka had travelled to South Africa for medical treatment while applying for postponement of Katsimberis’ case earlier this year.

The magistrate’s claims were followed by a media onslaught branding the lawyer as a liar and that saw her being summoned by the Zimbabwe Law Society.

A transcript of the court proceedings showed that Moyo never uttered the statements that were attributed to her and she is now claiming US$170 000 from Muchuchuti for damages.

Chinyoka said as a result of the lawsuit, Muchuchuti was now conflicted to hear a case involving someone represented by Moyo like Katsimberis.

Reza responded to Chinyoka’s application for the magistrate’s recusal by accusing the veteran lawyer and Moyo of creating an “artificial crisis.”

He claimed Chinyoka misled the court in his application.

However, Reza said the magistrate could have misunderstood Moyo but downplayed the gravity of her actions saying that cannot warrant a recusal.

But Chinyoka described Reza’s response as a testimony or opinion rather than a legal opinion.

He demanded that the deputy prosecutor general should be called to the stand to testify how he came to know about Muchuchuti’s interpretation of Moyo’s submission that led to the mischaracterisation.

He said Reza’s spirited defence of the magistrate in his response confirmed that the two were working in cohorts against his client.

Chinyoka said previously Muchuchuti and Reza had tried four times to have court proceedings against Katsimberis proceed in the absence of his lawyers even when they knew that the lawyers were engaged in matters involving the property developer in superior courts.

“The magistrate has allowed a toxic environment to prevail based on her negative and biased attitude towards the defence,” Chinyoka said.

“The magistrate, egged on by the State, has created such a toxic atmosphere that even observers’ attempts to diffuse the situation will not help.

“The State gets away with making these demands for the trial to proceed without counsel because the magistrate has created an impression that she is on their side.

“The submissions filed on her behalf by the State, complete with an explanation for her false statements, seem an appropriate quid pro quo when viewed in this context.”

Chinyoka said the lack of respect for Katsimberis’ lawyers proved that Reza was biased.

“And there is a real possibility that he and his office have been incentivised to do all they can to assist the complainant in this case,” he said.

He said Reza’s claims that the lawyers were making an artificial crisis were absurd because they implied that “we were aware that the magistrate would lie.”

Chinyoka said Reza also gave an impression that he was aware that the magistrate was confused, and as required of his duty, was supposed to clarify the situation, but failed because he was happy since he wanted the court to proceed without the defence counsel.

He said to achieve an artificial crisis, he was supposed to know that the magistrate will lie in court and make defamatory statements against Moyo, which would be widely covered by the media and that the LSZ would sanction the lawyer for misconduct.

Chinyoka also queried why Reza filed a response on behalf of Muchuchuti, who is a judicial officer.

“The second challenge is that the entire reply by the State is highly irregular and improper,” he added.

“An application for the recusal of the judge or magistrate is one between the party making it and the judicial officer.”

Chinyoka demanded to know whether the State was representing the magistrate in the matter and whether the State took instructions from the magistrate.

He also wanted to know whether the State had the magistrate’s instructions that there was an error of comprehension and if so, how the State knew that the magistrate erred in understanding.

He asked whether the magistrate saw Reza’s responses before they were filed.

“If the answers to these questions are in the negative, then the State has put the magistrate in an invidious position where she cannot be seen to be rewarding the State for its unsolicited representation of her position,” Chinyoka concluded.

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Leader Nelson Chamisa Calls for Genuine New Leadership

By A Correspondent| In a recent tweet, Nelson Chamisa, the leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), expressed his excitement about the emergence of credible representatives chosen by communities to represent his movement in the parliamentary and local authority elections.

Chamisa emphasized that individuals driven by self-gain or personal interests will not be allowed to represent CCC in the August 23 elections.

“NOT DIGGERS AND DEALERS…The Citizens representatives have been chosen by communities across Zimbabwe. Blessings to you!,” said Chamisa.

Chamisa addressed the issue of corruption and the use of money and material incentives to sway voters, making it clear that those who resort to such practices would not be able to serve the people effectively.

The CCC leader firmly believes that true change can only be achieved by leaders who are untainted, uncompromised, and committed to the betterment of Zimbabwe.

The Citizens Coalition for Change, under the leadership of Nelson Chamisa, has been actively working to build a movement that empowers citizens and creates a platform for them to voice their concerns and aspirations.

The CCC’s commitment to selecting representatives who genuinely reflect the will of the people has garnered praise and support from various communities across the nation.

Dudula Gang Injures Zim Businesswoman

Violent Assault on Zimbabwean Businesswoman in Johannesburg, South Africa

By A Correspondent | Blessing Mashangwa, a prominent Zimbabwean businesswoman was violently removed from her second property in Johannesburg, South Africa. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon and involved suspected members of the male dominated Dudula gang.

The development highlights the broader concern over xenophobic violence targeting Zimbabwean nationals and the lack of response from local authorities.

Blessing Mashangwa, a successful businesswoman from Zimbabwe, owns multiple properties in Johannesburg, South Africa, ZimEye reveals.

She has been residing in the country for a significant period, contributing to the local economy and fostering cross-border business relations.

On Tuesday Ms Mashangwa was forcibly expelled from her second property in Johannesburg by a group of suspected male Dudula gang members. Video evidence seen by ZimEye, captured three individuals ordering her to leave her own house. The incident was marked by violence and aggression towards Ms. Mashangwa. The perpetrators are on video displaying no regard for her safety or property rights.

Prior to this incident, on the preceding Sunday, another group of six violent men invaded Ms. Mashangwa’s first house. The precise motive behind these attacks is yet to be established, although it is believed that xenophobia and anti-Zimbabwean sentiments played a significant role.

Rise in Xenophobic Violence:
These attacks on Blessing Mashangwa come amidst a disturbing rise in xenophobic violence targeting Zimbabwean nationals in South Africa. The perpetrators, allegedly affiliated with the Dudula gang, have explicitly demanded that Zimbabweans vacate the country by the end of June 2023. This alarming trend has created an environment of fear and hostility among the Zimbabwean community in South Africa.

Police Response:
At the time of writing this report, local police authorities have not made any official statements regarding the incidents involving Blessing Mashangwa. The lack of response from the police is a cause for concern and raises questions about their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents, regardless of their nationality.

6. Urgent Action Required:
In light of these events, analysts stated that it is imperative that the local authorities in Johannesburg take immediate action to investigate the attacks on Blessing Mashangwa and bring the perpetrators to justice. Furthermore, efforts should be made to address the underlying issues of xenophobia and hostility towards Zimbabwean nationals.m, a statement seen by ZimEye said.

The violent assault on the prominent Zimbabwean businesswoman, is a distressing incident that highlights the growing xenophobic violence in Johannesburg, South Africa. The lack of police response further exacerbates concerns about the safety and security of foreign nationals residing in the country. It is crucial that swift and decisive action is taken to ensure justice for Ms. Mashangwa and to combat the rise of xenophobic violence targeting Zimbabweans in South Africa.

Mnangagwa Swallows Pride On Invitation Of Foreign Observers

President Emmerson Mnangagwa appears to have swallowed his pride on his threats to bar foreign observers from observing the August 23 harmonised elections.

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec), which has largely acted on Mnangagwa’s cue, has flighted a notice inviting international observers to register for the upcoming elections, two months after the Zanu-PF leader threatened to bar them.

In a notice, Zec said the deadline for submitting applications is August 18, four days before the country goes to the polls.

“Applications are hereby invited from all persons or international organisations wishing to observe the electoral processes, the conduct on polling day and the counting and collation of ballots,” Zec said.

“Applications shall be considered for accreditation from the following persons: (a) individuals representing foreign countries or international organisations and foreign eminent persons who have applied to be accepted as observers; and

“(b) individuals representing local organisations and eminent persons from within Zimbabwe who have applied to be accepted as observers; and

“(c) individuals representing bodies that exercise functions similar to those of the commission and that have been invited by the commission to observe an election; and

“(d) individuals representing foreign countries or international organisations and foreign eminent persons who have been invited by the minister responsible for Foreign Affairs to observe an election; and

“(e) individuals representing local organisations and eminent persons from within Zimbabwe who have been invited by the minister responsible for Justice and Legal Affairs to observe an election.”

In April, Mnangagwa hinted at barring international observers from “hostile countries” from monitoring the country’s polls.

Writing in his weekly column in a State-controlled newspaper early this week, Mnangagwa said government would only consider countries which have invited Zimbabwe to observe their own elections.

“Going forward as a country and nation which is proudly African and sovereign, we shall be insisting on the principle of reciprocity when it comes to the practice of international election observation,” Mnangagwa wrote.

“The time will soon come when we will not accept that condescending and even racist view of a pecking order when it comes to measuring electoral democracy unfolding in our sovereign countries, and which, in any event, is meant for our people.”

His threats were in stark contrast to his 2018 stance when he invited several observers from Western nations previously banned by his predecessor, the late Robert Mugabe.

Analyst Rejoice Ngwenya said: “Zec is very genuine. ED is sabre-rattling. He needs international observation to legitimise his crooked electoral practices.”

In 2020, Mnangagwa also hinted that Zimbabwe in future may not invite foreign observers for elections, saying the Malawi presidential elections had proven that they were not necessary.

Recently, the European Union said it was ready to send its election observer mission to Zimbabwe to ensure the country holds free and fair elections.

In its notice, Zec pegged the accreditation fee for local observers at US$10, while observers from within the continent will pay US$100.

Observers from foreign embassies in Zimbabwe will pay US$300, while observers from countries outside Africa will pay US$400.

Zimbabwean media practitioners working for foreign media houses will pay an accreditation fee of US$100.

Media practitioners from the continent will pay US$100, while local journalists will pay US$10.

Some observers, however, believe that because Zec is mandated by the Electoral Act in Part IXB sections 40G-40J to accredit or deny accreditation to applicants, foreign observers can still be denied observer status.

“Basically the election period is defined in the Electoral Act as the period between the calling of the election and the declaration of the result of the presidential election or the last result of other elections such as constituency elections,” Zec says on its website.

“Subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, accredited observers may do any of the following things during the election period: Observe the election process; observe the conduct of the polling; be present at the counting or collating of votes cast and the verification of polling station returns by presiding officers; and bring any irregularity or apparent irregularity in the conduct of the poll or the counting or collating of the votes to the attention of the commission.”

What If ANC Says Tyson’s Better Than Chamisa?

By Baba Jukwa | The political landscape in Zimbabwe is heating up as the 2023 elections approach. Recent developments have revealed the emergence of a new political contender, Saviour Kasukuwere, formerly a member of the late Robert Mugabe’s G40 elite. Interestingly, Nelson Chamisa, the leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change, has remained silent on this revelation, prompting speculation about his strategy and the potential implications for the upcoming elections. In this article, we will analyze whether Chamisa’s silence is a smart move or a strategic mistake, and examine how this may impact his chances and those of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Chamisa’s Confidence and the Yellow Machine Campaign:
In the face of Kasukuwere’s entry into the political arena, Chamisa has publicly expressed confidence in his campaign, referring to his party as the “yellow machine.” This show of assurance demonstrates Chamisa’s belief in the strength and unity of his party, projecting an image of stability and determination. By focusing on his own campaign and avoiding direct mention of Kasukuwere, Chamisa may be attempting to downplay the potential threat posed by the new contender.

Wrote Chamisa on Wednesday morning: “NOT DIGGERS AND DEALERS…The Citizens representatives have been chosen by communities across Zimbabwe. It’s so exciting that we have credible representatives for Parliament and Council.

Whoever is after self gain or self care will not serve in the new!

.

Whoever is tainted, compromised or plays for the other team can’t serve!
Zimbabwe needs change and deserves truly new leaders!
Blessings to you
!”

Silence as a Strategic Tool:
The adage “silence is golden” has often been employed in politics, suggesting that sometimes saying nothing can be more effective than engaging in public discourse. Chamisa’s decision to ignore Kasukuwere’s announcement could be seen as a calculated move aimed at minimizing the attention given to his rival. By refusing to acknowledge Kasukuwere directly, Chamisa denies him the platform and recognition that a response would provide, thus potentially limiting his impact on the electoral landscape.

The Power of Indifference:
Chamisa’s confident stance, coupled with his silence on Kasukuwere, can be interpreted as a display of indifference towards the new contender. This strategy seeks to convey the message that Kasukuwere poses no significant threat to Chamisa’s campaign. By projecting an image of unwavering determination and dismissing any potential treachery within his party, Chamisa attempts to maintain cohesion and rally his supporters, showing strength in the face of competition.

Implications for Chamisa’s Chances:
Chamisa’s decision to ignore Kasukuwere’s entry into the political arena carries both risks and benefits. On one hand, his silence could be perceived as a lack of concern or a sign of complacency. This could potentially erode confidence among voters who may view his dismissal of Kasukuwere as an underestimation of the challenges ahead. On the other hand, by not engaging in public exchanges, Chamisa avoids lending credibility to his rival’s campaign and prevents the diversion of his own party’s resources towards countering Kasukuwere’s presence.

The Impact on Mnangagwa:
While Kasukuwere’s entry may have some impact on Chamisa’s chances, it is also crucial to consider the potential consequences for President Emmerson Mnangagwa. With Kasukuwere being a former member of Mugabe’s G40 elite, his involvement in the political landscape could attract support from those dissatisfied with Mnangagwa’s rule. Kasukuwere’s presence may split the vote for those disillusioned with the current administration, which could potentially benefit Chamisa’s bid for the presidency.

Conclusion:
Nelson Chamisa’s decision to remain silent on Saviour Kasukuwere’s entrance into the political arena carries strategic implications. While some may view Chamisa’s silence as a sign of complacency or underestimation, others see it as a calculated move to deny his rival attention and legitimacy. The true impact of Kasukuwere’s campaign and Chamisa’s response will only be revealed in the upcoming elections. Until then, all eyes remain on Zimbabwe’s political landscape as the

Zimbabweans Are On Their Own

Former Speaker of the National Assembly, Lovemore Moyo, says Zimbabweans are now on their own in the push for credible elections because regional countries and watchdogs were now tired of the country’s endless poll disputes.

In a statement ahead of the August 23 general elections, Moyo said the country was headed for yet another disputed poll given that there had been no electoral reforms since the last election in 2018.

“Once more, the repeat of the 2018 plebiscite, which was disputed, may be in the making and inevitable,” Moyo said in the statement released on Monday.

“Zimbabweans want an opportunity to make their choices and vote for their preferred party or candidates without fear, intimidation, harassment and election manipulation.

“Further, it must be known that the Southern African Development Community, African Union, European Union, America and South Africa, in particular, are exhausted by our recurrent electoral mismanagement, disputes and violence.”

Moyo called on government and its agencies such as the police to ensure a level electoral playing field to allow for the holding of free and fair elections.

“In that regard, we call upon the government, law enforcement agencies, political parties, civic society, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission and election observer missions to adhere to election best practices and standards in the execution of their respective duties conscientiously and without fear or favour,” Moyo, who leads the United Movement for Devolution, said.

According to Moyo, the Judiciary has to interpret the law impartially, especially during and after the election period to de-escalate tensions over election disputes.

“In the same vein, we call upon the police, military, and other law enforcement agencies to remain true and loyal to their oath of service during election time and beyond,” he added.

WATCH: Mnangagwa Rapist Caught On Camera

Concerns Arise Over Pardoned Rapists Engaging in Criminal Activities During the 2023 Election Period

By A Correspondent | In recent developments, concerns have emerged regarding the actions of recently released rapists in the lead-up to the 2023 election in Zimbabwe. These concerns stem from a specific incident involving a man caught in the act of stealing shortly after declaring his support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who had granted him and others a presidential pardon. This report highlights the potential dangers posed by the release of these pardoned rapists during the upcoming election period.

Incident Details:
In the most recent incident, an individual named Takudzwa Muguti, who had been pardoned by President Mnangagwa and released from prison two weeks ago, made a startling revelation during an interview. Muguti, a convicted rapist from Magamba, claimed that he had never engaged in theft before his release. However, he confessed to starting his criminal activities just the day before the interview, ZimEye reveals.

Implications for the 2023 Election Period:
The revelation made by Takudzwa Muguti raises significant concerns about the potential dangers posed by the release of pardoned rapists during the 2023 election period. With Muguti openly admitting to engaging in theft shortly after his release, it highlights the possibility that other pardoned rapists may resort to criminal activities as well. This situation has the potential to create a sense of fear and unease among the general public, affecting the overall security and atmosphere surrounding the upcoming elections.

Perceived Political Implications:
Furthermore, the incident involving the recently released rapist aligning himself with President Mnangagwa’s party, ZANU PF, raises questions about the potential political ramifications. Muguti’s statement about supporting Mnangagwa’s party as a means of showing gratitude for the release could imply that other pardoned rapists might also be inclined to support the ruling party. This raises concerns about the implications of having a voter base that includes individuals with criminal backgrounds, and the potential impact it may have on the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

Security Measures and Recommendations:
To address the concerns raised by the release of pardoned rapists and their potential engagement in criminal activities during the election period, it is essential for the relevant authorities to take appropriate security measures. These may include:

1. Enhanced monitoring: Strengthening surveillance and law enforcement efforts to closely monitor the activities of released individuals with criminal backgrounds, particularly those convicted of rape.
2. Community awareness: Conducting public awareness campaigns to educate the general public about the potential risks associated with pardoned rapists during the election period and encouraging them to report any suspicious activities.
3. Cooperation between law enforcement agencies and electoral bodies: Promoting collaboration between law enforcement agencies and electoral bodies to ensure the safety and security of voters and prevent any interference or intimidation during the election process.

Conclusion:
The incident involving the recently released rapist caught in the act of stealing has raised legitimate concerns about the potential dangers posed by pardoned rapists during the 2023 election period in Zimbabwe. The situation not only raises security apprehensions but also presents a potential political challenge regarding the voter base for President Mnangagwa’s party. It is crucial for relevant authorities to prioritize security measures and ensure public safety while maintaining the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

Apostle Talent Chiwenga’s Nudes Leak, Viral Audios

Apostle Talent Chiwenga’s Confessions Unveil a Troubled Preacher’s Sins.

By Dorrothy Moyo |

Introduction

https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1ZkJzXLqqBrKv?t=IvvgeY76EaTJAFz8Dpy63Q&s=09

Apostle Talent Chiwenga, a popular preacher in Zimbabwe, recently made shocking confessions that have sent shockwaves through his congregation and the wider community. The preacher, known for his fiery sermons and controversial statements, admitted to the leaked circulation of explicit images of himself and confirmed the authenticity of viral audio recordings instructing a female lover on what to say. These revelations have brought to light a web of deceit, infidelity, and personal failings that challenge Chiwenga’s credibility as a spiritual leader. In this article, we delve into the details of his confessions and the implications they hold.

A Fallen Shepherd.

Apostle Chiwenga, in a series of heartfelt narratives, pleaded with his supporters, acknowledging that he is a sinner who was chosen by God despite his shortcomings. His confession validates earlier claims made by his mother-in-law, which he initially tried to dismiss, suggesting that he had cheated on his wife before her tragic demise in a road accident. Chiwenga had previously attempted to shift blame onto the Zimbabwean government, but in his recent confession, he admitted to speeding at twice the limit on the dangerous Masvingo road, notorious for its poor conditions and frequent accidents.

Infidelity and False Predictions

The preacher’s shocking admission also shed light on his numerous acts of adultery. The woman featured in the incriminating audio recordings was revealed to be his own maid, exposing a pattern of illicit relationships that extend beyond this particular instance. These revelations, combined with his previous false predictions, erode the trust and faith placed in him by his followers.

Blaming Congregants and Temptations

In his recorded confession, Chiwenga attempts to shift the blame onto his congregants, suggesting that it is the women who continuously approach him that lead him astray. However, this explanation falls short of justifying his actions and disregards the responsibility he bears as a spiritual leader. The admission of infidelity raises questions about his integrity, moral compass, and ability to lead a congregation effectively.

Repercussions and Impact

The fallout from Apostle Chiwenga’s confessions is likely to be significant. His credibility as a preacher, once revered and respected, has been severely tarnished. Congregants who placed their trust in him may now question their allegiance, and the wider public will scrutinize his teachings and prophetic claims more closely. The scandal has also resurrected memories of his past false predictions, such as his denial of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s involvement in the deployment of soldiers during a violent incident that resulted in several fatalities.

Conclusion

Apostle Talent Chiwenga’s shocking confessions have exposed a troubled preacher whose personal failings have compromised his position as a spiritual leader. The admission of infidelity, combined with previous false predictions and attempts to deflect blame, casts doubt on his integrity and ability to guide his followers. As the aftermath of this scandal unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Chiwenga can regain the trust he has lost and continue his ministry.

The CCC leader said anyone who opposes these pending results would be punished.

He tweeted:

NOT DIGGERS AND DEALERS…The Citizens representatives have been chosen by communities across Zimbabwe. It’s so exciting that we have credible representatives for Parliament and Council.

Whoever uses money and trinkets to buy citizens or bribe voters can’t serve

More Chamisa Bigwigs Lose 2023 Election Bid

By-Several Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) bigwigs in Bulawayo Province aspiring to represent the party in the 23 August elections were reportedly disqualified during the verification process.

  • Bulawayo North – Minenhle Gumede
  • Bulawayo South – Engineer Mangwendeza
  • Mpopoma-Mzilikazi – Desmond Makaza

Some CCC insiders claimed that ZANU PF affiliate, Forever Associates Zimbabwe (FAZ) was actively involved in several caucuses where they funded weaker candidates in various areas.

The Potential Exile of Emmerson Mnangagwa: Where Could Africa’s Most Corrupt Politician Flee?

By Gerry Freds

Military chopper- file

Emmerson Mnangagwa, the President of Zimbabwe, has faced widespread criticism for his alleged involvement in corruption, illicit financial activities, and authoritarian rule. Since assuming power in 2017 through a controversial coup, Mnangagwa’s presidency has been marred by accusations of state emptiness and a deteriorating political and economic situation. As pressure mounts on him to step down, speculation arises about the potential country where Mnangagwa could seek refuge. This article analyzes the possible outcomes and implications of his removal from power.

The Controversial Presidency of Emmerson Mnangagwa

Emmerson Mnangagwa’s rise to power came as a result of two successive coups in Zimbabwe since 2017, raising serious concerns about the legality and democratic legitimacy of his presidency. The removal of Robert Mugabe, a long-time autocrat, initially raised hopes for a new era of democracy and prosperity in Zimbabwe. However, Mnangagwa’s tenure has been marked by a continuation of oppressive policies, rampant corruption, and economic instability, causing disillusionment among the populace.

Accusations of Corruption and Money Laundering

One of the gravest allegations against Mnangagwa is his involvement in corruption and money laundering. He has been implicated as the world’s first head of state involved in money laundering and financing terrorism. These allegations, if proven true, would not only solidify his position as Africa’s most corrupt politician but also expose him to legal consequences at the international level.

With such serious accusations hanging over his head, Mnangagwa might consider seeking exile in a country with limited extradition treaties or a history of harboring political figures accused of corruption. However, it is important to note that fleeing the country does not absolve him of legal accountability for his alleged crimes. The international community and organizations like the International Criminal Court (ICC) may actively pursue justice in such cases.

Potential Exile Destinations

When considering potential destinations for exile, several factors come into play. The availability of extradition treaties, political ties, economic incentives, and personal connections may influence Mnangagwa’s choice. Here are a few countries that could be speculated as potential destinations:

1. Equatorial Guinea: Known for its history of offering asylum to controversial leaders, Equatorial Guinea could be a possibility for Mnangagwa. The country has previously sheltered figures such as former President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo’s son, who faced corruption charges.

2. Russia: Given its strained relationship with the West, Russia may be willing to provide refuge to Mnangagwa. The country has previously harbored other political figures accused of corruption, making it a potential destination.

3. United Arab Emirates (UAE): With its economic stability and lack of extradition treaties with Zimbabwe, the UAE could be an attractive option for Mnangagwa. The country has become a popular destination for politicians seeking asylum in recent years.

4. China: Given China’s economic and political ties with Zimbabwe, it is conceivable that Mnangagwa could seek refuge there. However, it is worth noting that China’s stance on providing sanctuary to controversial leaders is not consistent, and it may consider the implications before offering a safe haven.

Conclusion

Emmerson Mnangagwa’s presidency in Zimbabwe has been marred by corruption, allegations of money laundering, and a deteriorating political and economic climate. As pressure mounts on him to step down, the question of where he could seek exile becomes pertinent. While it is difficult to predict Mnangagwa’s choice, countries with limited extradition treaties or a history of harboring controversial leaders may be potential destinations. Nonetheless, seeking

Candidates Selection Process Divides CCC Vic Falls Voters

By A Correspondent| Disgruntled Victoria Falls citizens have accused opposition party Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leadership of manipulation the candidate selection process by fielding some candidate whose conduct is not fit for public office.

The opposition party selected candidates via what it calls a citizen-centered nomination process involving various stakeholders.

But among the selected candidates, Victoria Falls Ward 9 council hopeful Vusumuzi Sibanda, popularly known as Malaika in the resort town, stands accused of running a drug and illegal human trafficking syndicate between the town and Beitbridge.

The sting which involves giving illegal immigrants from as far as the DRC easy access to South Africa which is said to have been going on for years has sponsored a lavish lifestyle and triggered Sibanda’s ambitions to represent Ward 9.

The opposition party’s selection process has been critiqued by other members and residents who say it is flawed.

The party’s selection process has kept both nominees and the electorate in suspense with political bickering taking centre stage.

“In Victoria Falls, Malaika was nominated to represent Ward 9, but there are allegations that his transport fleet is used for transporting illegal immigrants in what appears to be a movie-style nocturnal activity. How does such a person represent people then,” one of the disgruntled residents in Ward 9 said.

The country is due to hold general elections on August 23, 2023. This has seen members of both the ruling Zanu PF and CCC jostling for positions to represent their parties in the polls.

Posting on Twitter recently, CCC leader Nelson Chamisa said his movement will not accept tainted and compromised candidates to stand as candidates in the 23 August polls.

“NOT DIGGERS AND DEALERS…The Citizens representatives have been chosen by communities across Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe needs change and deserves truly new leaders!,” tweeted Chamisa.

The nomination court will sit on June 21 at the High Court to register candidates.

Introduction:

Muchinguri Humiliated

Oppah Muchinguri on 10th Aug 2020

By Farai D Hove | In a shocking turn of events, Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri has become the target of intense criticism on social media platforms after demanding that citizens observe the controversial Patriotic Bill. The bill, which has been widely criticized as unconstitutional and unlawful, has sparked outrage among Zimbabwean citizens.

The incident unfolded on the internet when a user, identified as T Mudhomoki, confronted Muchinguri regarding the government’s alleged violations of the principles outlined in the Patriotic Bill. The user further accused the entire government, including the cabinet and the presidium, of engaging in corrupt activities and collaborating with foreign criminals who have been looting the nation’s resources, thus worsening the already troubled economy.

The backlash against Muchinguri gained significant attention after the recent broadcasting of the “GoldMafia” documentary. The documentary revealed the involvement of well-known convicted criminals in collusion with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s family, leading to the looting of gold and US dollars. This exposé further fueled public anger and intensified the criticism against the government’s handling of national resources.

The Twitter post (pictured) by T Mudhomoki, which garnered over 34,000 views, expressed a determination to utilize the very Patriotic Bill that Muchinguri supports to teach the government a lesson in patriotism. This comment reflects the frustration and disappointment felt by a large portion of the Zimbabwean population.

The Muchinguri tweet

The controversial demand made by the Defence Minister has drawn attention from various sectors, with legal experts and civil society organizations pointing out the unconstitutional nature of the Patriotic Bill. Critics argue that it infringes upon individual freedoms, stifles dissent, and undermines democratic values.

In response to the growing online uproar, Muchinguri’s office released a statement asserting her commitment to upholding the rule of law and claiming that the Patriotic Bill is in the best interest of the nation. The statement urged citizens to engage in constructive dialogue rather than resorting to social media attacks.

As the social media storm rages on, the incident involving Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri has once again brought to the forefront the concerns regarding the government’s handling of national resources and its commitment to upholding democratic principles. The public’s discontent and demands for accountability continue to reverberate across Zimbabwe, leaving the government facing a critical test of its ability to address these grievances effectively.

Govt Promises VP Chiwenga’s Filthy Sewage Mbare To Be Cleaned By Aug Election Day

Constantino Chiwenga’s Misleading Election Pledges Under Scrutiny as Promised 4th Floor Swimming Pooled Mbare Flats Remain Nonexistent

Date: June 7, 2023

In a stunning turn of events, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, finds himself embroiled in controversy as his misleading election pledges come under intense scrutiny. Chiwenga been called out for his failure to deliver on promises made half a decade ago, particularly regarding the construction of 4th floor swimming pools at the Mbare flats. The dilapidated structures, plagued by floods of sewage, were initially slated for demolition during the last election, but the government is now suddenly promising to repair them just three months before the upcoming polls.

The saga surrounding the Mbare flats and the non-existent 4th floor swimming pools has long been a topic of disappointment and frustration for the residents. During the previous election campaign, Chiwenga had made grandiose promises of transforming the flats and providing much-needed amenities to uplift the living conditions of the residents. However, five years have passed, and the residents are left with deteriorating structures and an absence of the promised amenities.

The lack of progress on the proposed swimming pool has become emblematic of Chiwenga’s empty rhetoric and unfulfilled pledges. Residents have been left wondering why such a trivial promise was even made in the first place, especially when the primary concern should have been the dire state of the buildings themselves.

The dilapidated state of the Mbare flats is not a new issue; it has plagued the residents for years. The structures are ridden with sewage problems, posing significant health risks and making daily life unbearable for those residing there. The promised demolition during the last election raised hopes among the residents for a fresh start, but those hopes were dashed as no action was taken.

Now, as the country gears up for another election, Chiwenga and his government have once again raised the issue, promising to renovate the sewage-infested structures. The sudden reiteration of this pledge, coming barely three months before the polls, has raised suspicions among the residents and opposition groups, who view it as a mere attempt to secure votes rather than a genuine commitment to address the problems faced by the community.

Critics argue that this eleventh-hour promise to repair the Mbare flats appears to be a thinly veiled political maneuver aimed at swaying public sentiment. The lack of progress on the previous promises and the timing of this announcement only reinforce these suspicions.

As the election campaign unfolds, it is crucial for voters to scrutinize the credibility of politicians’ promises. The Mbare flats issue serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of misleading pledges and unfulfilled commitments. The residents of Mbare deserve genuine solutions to their long-standing problems, rather than empty rhetoric that serves political interests.

It remains to be seen whether Constantino Chiwenga can salvage his credibility and convince the disillusioned residents that this time, his promises will bear fruit. As the electorate evaluates the candidates’ track records and scrutinizes their election pledges, the fate of the Mbare flats and the 4th floor swimming pool will likely play a pivotal role in shaping public opinion in the upcoming election.

Speaking at a post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday, Acting Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere, said the Harare City Council had deprived residents of service delivery, hence Government’s decision to intervene and act on the serious health hazard.

“Cabinet wishes to inform the nation that a fact-finding visit to the New Lines area in Mbare, Harare, by the Ministers of National Housing and Social Amenities, and Industry and Commerce, as well as officials from the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, and City of Harare, revealed that the situation is dire and requires immediate intervention.

“Some of the problems are that the Harare City Council, which charges monthly rentals of US$100 per room, is not carrying out any repairs and maintenance and blockages are attended to by volunteers,” he said.

Attorney-General, Advocate Prince Machaya, weighed in saying that the state of emergency declaration by Cabinet was not based on any legal provisions, but was necessitated by the dire situation in Mbare.

“What Cabinet agreed was that the situation in the New Lines area has become so dire that it has become a situation of emergency which needs to be attended to immediately.

“It was not a declaration under the Civil Protection Act, Cabinet merely noted that this was a situation that needed immediate action because the houses in that area were built a long time ago, in 1912. They have communal toilets which do not function properly resulting in sewage flowing onto the street, garbage goes uncollected and the houses themselves need attention,” said Adv Machaya.

Minister Muswere said the Ministry of Health and Child Care has now been directed to ensure health and safety in the area.

The Government, he said, would employ a multi-sectoral approach in combating the cholera outbreak not only in Mbare, but countrywide.

Minister Muswere said in light of the continued increase in cholera cases, Cabinet has resolved that the multi-sectoral approach to responding to the outbreak be continued with a focus to address water and sanitation.

The Ministry of Health, working closely with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, will intensify timely releases of funds to facilitate the cholera comprehensive response.

Zimbabwe has so far recorded 2 076 cases, with 1 942 recoveries and 15 deaths, reflecting a case fatality rate of 2,3 percent.

All 10 provinces have reported suspected cholera cases with Manicaland, Harare and Matabeleland South provinces contributing 83 percent of the cases.

Cholera confirmed deaths have been recorded in Harare (3), Manicaland (8), Mashonaland Central (2), Mashonaland West (1) and Masvingo (1).

Meanwhile, Government has also directed that Covid-19 surveillance be integrated with that of other respiratory diseases in the wake of increased respiratory infections during the winter season.

Minister Muswere said the pandemic remains under control, but the nation is encouraged to continue prioritising vaccination activities.

He said Cabinet resolved that vaccination be intensified in all provinces, supported by the Ministers of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, and that communities prioritise getting vaccinated, while protecting themselves by adhering to all recommended Covid-19 public health and social measures.

Mnangagwa Loses Military Parrot To Kasukuwere On Day One

Military Whistleblower Declares Support for Saviour Kasukuwere, Threatening Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Grip on Power

By Farai D Hove | In a shocking twist of events, Godfrey Tsengamu, the key figure behind the 2017 military coup in Zimbabwe, has announced his support for Saviour Kasukuwere, potentially marking the beginning of the end for President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Tsengamu, who gained prominence as a whistleblower during the coup, has revealed that his political party, FEEZ (Freedom Fighters Economic Emancipation Zimbabwe), will back Kasukuwere’s candidacy in the upcoming 2023 elections, ZimEye reveals.

This announcement by Tsengamu represents a significant departure in ZANU PF politics and poses a severe threat to President Mnangagwa’s hold on power. It comes at a time when the incumbent leader has been steadily losing support from state institutions and the ZANU PF elite class, commonly referred to as the “deep state.”

In his statement released on Wednesday morning, Tsengamu clarified that his party, FEEZ, will continue to exist independently but will throw its support behind Kasukuwere in the forthcoming elections. This move is expected to galvanize support for Kasukuwere and weaken Mnangagwa’s political position from within his own party.

The decision to back Kasukuwere, a former member of ZANU PF and a prominent figure during the Robert Mugabe era, is seen as a strategic maneuver to undermine President Mnangagwa’s authority. Kasukuwere’s potential candidacy has garnered substantial attention, particularly among those disillusioned with the current administration, as he represents an alternative to the status quo.

Emmerson Mnangagwa, who succeeded longtime leader Robert Mugabe after the 2017 coup, has faced mounting criticism over his handling of the country’s economic challenges and allegations of human rights abuses. The revelation of Tsengamu’s support for Kasukuwere adds to the growing discontentment within the ruling party and raises questions about Mnangagwa’s ability to maintain his grip on power.

The endorsement by Tsengamu, who played a pivotal role in ousting Mugabe and initially supported Mnangagwa’s ascension, is likely to resonate with disenchanted members of ZANU PF and the general population. Tsengamu’s insider knowledge of the party’s internal dynamics and his reputation as a whistleblower could prove instrumental in mobilizing support for Kasukuwere.

As Zimbabwe heads into the 2023 elections, the political landscape is set for a dramatic showdown. The emergence of Saviour Kasukuwere as a formidable challenger, backed by influential figures such as Godfrey Tsengamu, has the potential to reshape the country’s political future. Whether this alliance will succeed in toppling President Mnangagwa and ushering in a new era remains to be seen, but it certainly marks a significant turning point in Zimbabwean politics.

Writing on Wednesday morning, Tsenengamu said though his party will remain as is, it will back Kasukuwere’s candidature.
“FEEZ remains intact as a political party. We are just backing Kasukuwere’s candidature in the 2023 election,” said Tsenengamu. – ZimEye

Kidnapping Cases Rise

KIDNAPPING and murder cases are on the increase with over five people having fallen victim in just a week.

Police have stepped up security after a grade six pupil aged 11 was kidnapped while going to school by a gang of four men who were travelling in a black Toyota Noah in the Glenview suburb of Harare.

The victim was later found dumped in Glenview.

Another grade seven pupil was abducted in Chinhoyi last week after she was offered transport by unknown suspects travelling in a Toyota Hiace vehicle before she was later found dumped in the same town.

ZRP National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed that they are investigating the cases.

“We are investigating several murder cases in which people are being kidnapped or abducted by those who might have offered them transport. It is worrisome that such cases are happening on a daily basis. To the public we encourage them to use public transport to avoid such incidents,” he said.

Assistant Commissioner Nyathi also urged transport operators to value human life amid an increase in the number of road traffic accidents involving school children.

“As the ZRP we are also concerned about the number of accidents involving school children. Last week we had two accidents in which eight children died so we are calling for transport operators to respect human sanctity.”

This comes after eight schoolchildren died in two separate road traffic accidents last week.

CCC Activist Assaulted As Mnangagwa Says Chamisa Will Even Be Arrested

By Dorrothy Moyo| In a disturbing incident that highlights the escalating political tensions in Zimbabwe as the country prepares for the upcoming national election, Francis Makore, an activist affiliated with the Zimbabwe Citizen Coalition of Change (CCC), was brutally assaulted by a group of individuals at Chivi Business Centre in Masvingo.

The assaulted man

The attack occurred amidst accusations and counter-accusations between the ruling party, ZANU-PF, and the opposition party led by Nelson Chamisa, the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC).

According to eyewitnesses, the assailants identified themselves as members of the Forever Associates of Zimbabwe (FAZ), believed to be affiliated with ZANU-PF. Costa Madzore, a prominent figure within FAZ, allegedly led the group and accused Makore of betrayal by supporting the CCC. The attackers reportedly used logs to assault Makore, resulting in multiple injuries.

The incident has sparked outrage among activists and the general public, raising concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and the safety of opposition members. Makomborero Haruzivishe, a well-known activist, took to social media to condemn the assault, questioning the role of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in allowing such violent acts to go unpunished.

Haruzivishe’s tweet highlights the broader pattern of violence perpetrated by FAZ members in different parts of the country. Similar incidents have been reported in the Midlands province, Masvingo province, and other regions, with opposition members falling victim to FAZ’s alleged acts of intimidation. Such actions undermine the principles of a free and fair election, further eroding the credibility of the upcoming polls.

The assault on Francis Makore serves as a reminder of the dangerous climate prevailing in Zimbabwe’s political landscape. As the August 23 national election approaches, tensions continue to mount between the ruling party and the opposition. President Emmerson Mnangagwa has accused Nelson Chamisa and the CCC of inciting violence to gain an advantage in the upcoming poll. However, the recent attack on Makore, a CCC activist, further raises concerns about the government’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.

Civil society organizations and activists are calling on the ZEC and ZRP to take immediate action and hold the perpetrators accountable. They argue that the failure to address these incidents could seriously undermine the credibility of the 2023 elections and perpetuate a climate of fear and violence.

As Zimbabwe stands at a critical juncture in its democratic journey, it is essential for the authorities to prioritize the safety of citizens and uphold the principles of a fair electoral process. The government’s response to the assault on Francis Makore and other similar incidents will undoubtedly shape public perception and international confidence in the forthcoming national election. The world will be closely watching to see how Zimbabwe addresses these acts of violence and ensures a level playing field for all political actors.

#FazMustFall has emerged as a rallying cry, emphasizing the urgency of curbing the influence of groups like FAZ and safeguarding the democratic values that Zimbabwe aspires to uphold.

Defence Minister Slapped In The Face Over Patriotic Bill

The Twitter post by T Mudhomoki, which garnered over 34,000 views, expressed a determination to utilize the very Patriotic Bill that Muchinguri supports to teach the government a lesson in patriotism. This comment reflects the frustration and disappointment felt by a large portion of the Zimbabwean population.

Protest Artwork Accused ZINASU 4 Remanded To 21 June

University of Zimbabwe Students Denied Bail Over Protest Artwork, Raising Concerns About Freedom of Speech.

-Accused of Communicating Protest Artwork on Government Buildings, Students Remanded in Custody until June 21, 2023

By Farai D Hove | ANALYSIS | In a controversial court case that has sparked a national outcry and raised concerns about freedom of speech, four students from the University of Zimbabwe have been denied bail and remanded in custody until June 21, 2023. The students are facing prosecution over accusations of creating and communicating protest artwork on government buildings, expressing their dissatisfaction with the alleged illegal imprisonment of prominent Member of Parliament, Job Sikhala.

The accused students, Emmanuel Sitima (24), Comfort Mpofu (22), Tawanda Watadza (24) and Lionel Wadamombe (24), are avvuaed of using their artistic talents to convey their grievances and shed light on the arrest and subsequent detention of Sikhala, who had been representing the family of the late Moreblessing Ali, a client who was tragically murdered in May 2022.

They are each facing seven counts of malicious damage to property.

The decision to deny bail and keep the students in custody has further ignited concerns about freedom of speech in Zimbabwe. Critics argue that this move stifles artistic expression and undermines the democratic principles upon which the nation is built. Many supporters of the accused students have condemned the decision, asserting that it infringes upon their fundamental rights.

The trial, which commenced on June 1, has attracted significant attention both within Zimbabwe and abroad. The students’ defense team argued vehemently for their clients’ release on bail, emphasizing that the artwork in question was an expression of their constitutional rights to freedom of expression and peaceful protest. However, the prosecution maintained that the students’ actions amounted to a violation of public order and sought to present evidence linking them to the protest artwork.

The presiding magistrate, stated that the decision to deny bail was based on the potential risk of the accused interfering with ongoing investigations and the possibility of public unrest. The ruling has ignited concerns among human rights advocates and supporters of the students, who believe that the denial of bail is a disproportionate response to their alleged actions.

The trial is being closely monitored by local and international human rights organizations, who have expressed their solidarity with the accused students. These organizations argue that the prosecution of individuals for expressing their grievances through art not only curtails freedom of speech but also undermines the vibrant and diverse culture of artistic expression that Zimbabwe is known for.

As the trial continues, the case has become a symbol of the ongoing struggle between the right to freedom of expression and the government’s efforts to maintain public order. The outcome of this case will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for the future of artistic expression and civil liberties in Zimbabwe.

The eyes of the nation remain fixed on the courtroom, as both sides present their arguments and seek to shape the outcome of this landmark trial. The verdict will not only determine the fate of the accused students but will also serve as a litmus test for the state of freedom of speech and expression in Zimbabwe.

Kidnappers Prey On Schoolchildren

Mass Refunds Of Stolen Qoki Investment Money Begin

Ponzi Scheme Exposed: Qoki Zindlovukazi Investments Initiates Mass Refunds Following Three-Year Investigation

By Investigative Correspondent | In a major breakthrough, Qoki Zindlovukazi Investments, a notorious Ponzi scheme operating in Zimbabwe, has begun issuing mass refunds to duped investors after an extensive three-year investigation by the ZimEye news network. The refunds, which commenced on Monday, took place at the Qoki Clinic, where a significant number of female investors were seen lining up to reclaim their money.

Qoki Zindlovukazi Investments, led by the property business owner Sithule Tshuma, had promised investors the opportunity to purchase properties located on farmlands. However, it has now come to light that such transactions are considered criminal under Zimbabwean law. The revelations from the investigation conducted by ZimEye indicate that not only did Tshuma deceive investors, but she also overcharged them for these illicit property purchases.

The initiation of mass refunds is the first concrete step towards exposing the extent of Tshuma’s fraudulent activities and providing some relief to the victims who fell prey to this elaborate Ponzi scheme. Scores of female investors, who had placed their trust in Tshuma’s promises, flocked to the Qoki Clinic to reclaim their hard-earned money.

The investigative efforts of the ZimEye news network have played a crucial role in shedding light on the deceptive practices employed by Qoki Zindlovukazi Investments. The comprehensive three-year probe uncovered the intricate web of deceit woven by Tshuma and her associates, leaving numerous individuals facing financial ruin.

The refunds serve as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of Ponzi schemes and the importance of stringent regulations to protect unsuspecting investors. The Zimbabwean government and regulatory authorities must now take swift action to bring Tshuma and her accomplices to justice, ensuring that they face the full force of the law for their fraudulent activities.

As the refunds process unfolds, it is anticipated that more evidence will emerge, shedding light on the true scale of the fraud committed by Qoki Zindlovukazi Investments. The affected investors, who have suffered significant financial losses and emotional distress, eagerly await justice and a resolution to this distressing chapter in their lives.

Authorities are urging individuals who may have fallen victim to this Ponzi scheme or possess information relevant to the case to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation. It is essential to hold those responsible accountable and prevent similar fraudulent schemes from targeting vulnerable individuals in the future, a govt statement said.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa aaid Qoki and other merchants selling farm land to diasporans are fraudsters.

The initiation of refunds by Qoki Zindlovukazi Investments marks a crucial turning point in this Ponzi scheme scandal. As the investigation progresses, it is hoped that all those affected will receive their rightful reimbursements and that the perpetrators of this financial fraud will face severe legal consequences.

Mnangagwa Pardoned Rapist Caught In The Act Days After Release

Release Ngarivhume

The High Court bail hearing is on today in Court P. Both the state and the defense counsel is already present. Waiting for the judge to appear and kick start the hearing..

The court resumes with Madhuku addressing first. He indicates that all arguments the defense has in favour of bail are contained in writen application done already. He argues that his client has good grounds for success on appeal. He said his client was convicted on a very week basis, that it, that he failed to outlined his defense when he gave his statement to the police. Further the lower court grossly misdirected itself in convicting the accused. There was no mention of a twitter account in the warned and cautioned statement. The state failed to prove that the twitter account in question belonged to the accused. Also all the 3 three witnesses declared that they did not know if the twitter account belonged to the accused. Witness Chirape confirmed that he was not an expert to say with surety that the Twitter handle indeed belong to Ngarivhume. The second witness Chief Sup Runganga had no clue but said it was Ngarivhume’s account but argued that the accused did not say it was not his wen he first appeared at the police station. Rungaga knew that law enforcement agencies can contact Twitter PLC for account verification but they chose not to blaming administrative challenges. So they now want to send the accused to jail because of their laziness. Runganga refused to accept that this was a classic example of a ghost account. From the 3rd witness who was suppose to be an expert he said it was a matter of probabilities that the account belonged to Ngarivhume. There was nothing scientific about his deductions and conclusions. He said the accused should have reported to Twitter if his name was being used as a ghost account. It is the defense’s conclusion that there was nothing credible and incriminating given by all the 3 witnesses to warrant conviction of the accused. There was no proof beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused committed the alleged offense. We maintain that the sentence is manifestly excessive. It’s the first time in this country to sentence a politician for such a crime. This conviction should never have occured in our democratic country. We would suggest a bail of ZWL500k among other requirements..

The state then argues that it abides by the ruling of the lower court. It will not make any oral presentation

The judge reserves judgement. It will be communicated later.

BREAKING: Zimbabwean Businesswoman Hospitalised After Attack By Dudula Gangs

Flu vs Common Cold: The Facts

Chamisa Bigwigs Fall

By-Several Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) bigwigs in Bulawayo Province aspiring to represent the party in the 23 August elections were reportedly disqualified during the verification process.

Some CCC insiders claimed that ZANU PF affiliate, Forever Associates Zimbabwe (FAZ) was actively involved in several caucuses where they funded weaker candidates in various areas.

Mnangagwa Smells Defeat, Sets Run-Off Date

Article by President E.D Mnangagwa

Last week I, through an Extraordinary Government Gazette, proclaimed timelines for our General Elections, as required by our Constitution and the Electoral Act (Chapter 2:13). The proclamation set out August 23, 2023 as the day our nation goes for elections for purposes of electing a national President, Members of Parliament for the 210 seats in our National Assembly and councillors to run our municipalities.

Explicit timelines

I also set October 2, 2023 as the day for a Presidential run-off election, should that become necessary.

The Nomination Court will sit on June 21 to consider and accept candidates in these forthcoming Presidential, parliamentary and municipal elections.

In the same vein, I set August 3 as the day on which Provincial Assemblies of Chiefs shall meet to elect chiefs who will take up seats in the revered Council of Chiefs.

The road is, thus, now clear for our General Elections, which will be held in terms of the 2023 Delimitation Report, which I also caused to be gazetted much earlier, in compliance with the law.

Both our Constitution and the Electoral Act make our plebiscites predictable and transparent. Everything is in black and white; there is no room for ambushes, something which ensures our elections pan out predictably and evenly.

Voters’ roll inspection

Equally, our election management body, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) last week opened the voters’ roll for inspection by the general public. This, again, is meant to ensure transparency, and to cure any mistakes or anomalies which might be on the roll. I am happy that many Zimbabweans went out to inspect the voters’ roll, and that any anomalies they might have been were drawn to ZEC’s attention for corrective action.

Inviting observers

At an appropriate time, Government will invite international observers to our elections, which must run transparently, strictly in terms of our laws, and in fulfilment of guidelines set out by the Southern African Development Community (SADC), our sub-regional body. Government will ensure those invited to observe our elections get their invitations in ample time to make that exercise meaningful.

Convergence on architecture for future elections

I am pleased that on the legislative front, there is now greater convergence among political parties on the legal and institutional architecture for future elections, including restoring the Delimitation Commission which we had before, and bringing back the Registrar-General’s Office on voter registration. All these proposed changes are for future elections, and will release ZEC to focus on its core business, namely, that of managing our elections.

A record without blemish

From 1985, when our nation conducted its first general elections as a newly independent State, until now, Zimbabwe has never defaulted on its election timetable. She has always gone to the polls when these fall due.

It is a proud record we must strive to uphold as a nation. I am happy that these pending elections are no exception.

Elections, organic outcome of national struggles

Lest the world forgets, the institution of the ballot emerged from, and was won through, our struggles as a people hankering for majority rule, for a non-racial democracy based on one person, one vote, and for complete Statehood untrammelled by foreign domination and direction.

Indeed, we had to take up arms for this wholesome state of affairs to be attained and realised.

To that end, we view our elections as an organic outcome from our liberation struggle, and as a key process for decolonising of our governance system in order to consolidate our sovereignty.

While we benchmark our elections against best practices in the world, we jealously claim and retain a strong sense of proprietorship over the democracy which we ourselves inaugurated in 1980, and which we have enjoyed since, alongside the plebiscitary rituals it periodically occasions.

We will never tire of reminding the world that our elections are a facet of our hard-won democracy, and, thus, an institution exclusively reserved for us as Zimbabweans to shape, to participate in and, in the final analysis, to enjoy and judge.

Any and all changes we seek legislatively; changes which we provide for institutionally; and which we claim through democratic praxis, are meant to make our democracy even more wholesome for our people, who are its sole litmus test.

Claiming the right to vote

Going forward, we must cultivate and ensure an environment in which Zimbabweans are able to vote without any sense of let or hindrance.

No barriers must be put in the way of our citizens in claiming and in exercising their right to vote in accordance with our laws.

To do so is tantamount to negating a core political goal of our national liberation struggle, namely, a guaranteed right to one person, one vote.

Nothing must be spared to ensure the environment is right and conducive for free, fair and peaceful elections in which the right to vote is available to all those eligible, in terms of our laws and laid-down procedures.

Secure ballot

Secondly, we must ensure that the ballot is secure; that every vote is counted and respected; and that the overall outcome expresses the will and choice of the sovereign people of Zimbabwe. This requires that the whole plebiscite attains levels of integrity which the people of Zimbabwe can vouch and attest to.

Above all, this requires that our whole electoral process is fool-proof and insulated against undue influence and manipulation by outsiders and foreigners.

No foreign power is a stakeholder in Zimbabwe’s electoral processes; this is why foreigners come in by invitation, and participate as observers, and not as monitors.

Elections for peace and stability

Third, our harmonised elections must underpin and advance peace and stability for our nation.

When I was in Sharm El-Sheikh recently for the Arrears Clearance and Debt Resolution, friends of Zimbabwe made an impassioned plea and call to us to cultivate peace as Zimbabweans, and to resist being instigated to violence by whomsoever: before, during and after elections.

Indeed, our country needs durable peace during and after the forthcoming harmonised elections.

The nexus between elections, on the one hand, and peace and stability, on the other, must be assured.

On my part and that of my Party, ZANU PF, peace remains the priceless goal towards whose attainment nothing should be spared.

I urge all other players in our electoral process to make the same pledge, and to be sworn to unconditional peace for our nation.

Firm hand against those bent on disturbing peace

Let me sternly warn those bent on political violence that a harsh response awaits them.

We consider political violence a challenge to the whole State, in which case all levers of the State: the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary must act in concert, and with a strong, unflinching sense of shared resolve and common purpose to stamp it out.

Those guilty of acts of political violence, or for inciting political violence, must be speedily put away so they do not become a menace to our society, and to its democratic processes.

If it means setting up special courts for the speedy trial of those accused of perpetrating or instigating political violence, so be it.

Magnanimous winners, good losers

Fourth and last, true democrats are magnanimous winners and good losers.

One cannot enter an electoral contest for just one outcome, namely, an outcome in which one is only a winner.

Surely, that is not the frame of mind helpful to a free and fair election; rather, it is one for war.

In any event, our rich democracy provides recourse — peaceful recourse — to anyone who might have reason to feel hard done by the whole electoral process.

We have the courts. That recourse must be pursued and exercised to the fullest. Once that has been done, and our courts have come to some determination, their judgment must be respected by all, winners and losers alike, so our whole society speedily resets for a peaceful conclusion, and moves forward. That is the Zimbabwe we want, and must work towards, namely, a country that quickly rallies back after any contest, to resume deep and encompassing routines for peace and development, all done in unity.

I say peace, peace and stability for our country!

Top Anti-Mnangagwa Spy In Mysterious Death

By-A top Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) member recently demoted for denouncing President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Andrew Chitungo, has died.

NewsHawks reports that Chitungo, a CIO’s Close Security Unit officer, died last Friday in Harare.

According to the publication, Chitungo served under the late President Robert Mugabe for years, Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga, and later President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
He reportedly died on Friday at West End Hospital after he was admitted to the medical facility on Wednesday, complaining about breathing problems and losing energy.
Chitungo was removed from Mnangagwa’s close security team last year after a recorded call with independent Norton MP Temba Mliswa and former Energy minister Fortune Chasi in which he uttered the words “Bishop is corrupt” (meaning Mnangagwa) was leaked according to the report.
He reportedly also ran a security company and startup business interests in Harare.
Chitungo’s family, relatives and friends described Chitungo as a “man of the people”, a “family man” and a “reliable professional” who was good-natured, calm and amicable.

Flu vs Common Cold

Challenges Affecting Small Scale Miners

Kasukuwere Shakes Zanu PF

Self-exiled former Zanu-PF political commissar and Cabinet minister, Saviour Kasukuwere has joined the presidential race ahead of this year’s harmonised elections set for August 23.

Last week, Kasukuwere issued a teaser on Twitter using the handle @NewAllianceZW calling himself “President Kasukuwere.”

He shared a picture of himself with other former Cabinet ministers Walter Mzembi, Patrick Zhuwao and Nkosana Moyo.

The New Alliance Zimbabwe has also been actively sponsoring Kasukuwere’s candidature on Twitter.

In a post accompanying the photos of Kasukuwere and his former Cabinet colleagues, the alliance said: “Dear

Zimbabwe. Please brace yourself for big surprises this election season. But please do not over-react. We only have this country for the future to inherit. We must continue to act with focus and restraint. We love you Zimbabwe.”

In another post, the political grouping said: “By standing in the August 2023 elections, president Kasukuwere is representing the voiceless masses, the downtrodden, the disenfranchised citizens, as well as patriots who were violently driven from the shores of the motherland. He is standing against black-on-black oppression.”

A disclaimer, however, indicates that the 52-year-old Kasukuwere does not run the handle, adding that it is strictly a supporters’ interactive handle.

However, Kasukuwere’s interaction with South African journalist Sophie Mokoena on Twitter yesterday attracted attention and debate after the announcement of his candidature.

“Breaking News. There you have it @Hon_Kasukuwere says he will be contesting the presidential election in Zimbabwe on 23 August 2023. The other candidates includes (sic) @edmnangagwa and @nelsonchamisa. For more, watch #sabcnews Channel 404 or @SophieMokoena.”

Kasukuwere, currently in self-imposed exile in South Africa, also confirmed the news in response to Mokoena’s post.

“The call has been made and yes, I will be making a formal statement on my candidature,” he said.

Many observers believe Kasukuwere’s candidature would divide and weaken Mnangagwa’s Zanu-PF after the latter allegedly failed to unite the ruling party since the 2017 coup, while the fissures in the party have continued to widen following bitterly contested internal polls to choose election candidates.

Contacted for comment yesterday, Kasukuwere said: “I know people are interested to know (about the candidature), but I can assure you that you will be the first to get the official statement.”

Political analyst Rejoice Ngwenya said it was dangerous for Zanu-PF to let Kasukuwere contest in the forthcoming elections.

“If that happens, then Mnangagwa is gone.

“But I can tell you, Mnangagwa and his allies are busy doing what they can to stop Kasukuwere from contesting,” he said.

“If he does, he will divide the Zanu-PF vote.

“But I don’t think he will even make it to the Nomination Court.

“Chances are very slim. Mnangagwa won’t fold his hands and let it happen.”

Kasukuwere’s political star shined in the ruling party’s youth league, propelling him to the late former President Robert Mugabe’s Cabinet as Local Government, Public Works and National Housing minister.

He is also a former Environment, Water and Climate minister.

Kasukuwere, Mnangagwa and Mugabe’s wife Grace teamed up to topple former Vice-President Joice Mujuru during his tenure as party political commissar.

The alliance, however, fell apart when Kasukuwere and Grace were joined by another former minister Jonathan Moyo and members of the G40 group, which turned its guns on Mnangagwa.

Mnangagwa, with the assistance of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces led by General Constantino Chiwenga, now Vice-President, ousted Mugabe in a coup in 2017.

Kasukuwere, Moyo, Mzembi and Zhuwao fled the country during the coup.

The former Cabinet ministers face arrest over a litany of charges, including corruption.

Kasukuwere briefly returned home in January 2018 and was arrested on corruption charges, which were later dismissed by the Harare Magistrates Court, but not before he left the country again.

In October 2020, government sought Kasukuwere’s extradition from South Africa after issuing a warrant for his arrest.

Zanu-PF information director Tafadzwa Mugwadi said: “Zanu-PF does not lose sleep over nothing. There is no Zimbabwean constituency across the Limpopo to the extent that you are aware.

“We are focused on winning the election for development and our indomitable presidential candidate H.E ED Mnangagwa does not lose sleep over a barking fugitive of justice. After all, it’s good to have ambitions, but it will be foolhardy and tomfoolery to aspire to empty an ocean using buckets.

“We have already set preparations in motion for the inauguration of would-be President-elect, ED Mnangagwa. Let Tom, Dick and Harry throw their hat in the ring, but in the end, Floyd Mayweather has no defeat.”

Mugabe Was A Sophisticated Tribalist, ED Is A Crude One

Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) in the 2009-13 Government of National Unity (GNU), Arthur Mutambara, has sensationally claimed that the late former President Robert Mugabe was a sophisticated tribalist who pushed for his Zezuru clansmen to occupy key positions in government and quasi-government institutions.

Mutambara, however, described President Emmerson Mnangagwa as the crudest tribalist.

He made the remarks at the launch of his latest book, Ideas and Solutions: In Search of the Elusive Zimbabwean Dream, in Bulawayo last Friday.

Mutambara said there was a lot of tribalism in Zimbabwe.

“Clansmanship, ethno-nationalism, ethnicity, those words are there, people say no, you do not use tribalism, it’s an old term,” Mutambara said.

“There is tribalism in Zimbabwe. Mugabe was a tribalist, a bit sophisticated. This one (ED) is very crude, the current leader is a crude tribalist clansman, we need to fix that,” he said.

“In my book, you get to hear Mugabe say ‘My Zezuru Group’. He tells me a story that ‘when I came out of jail, and I went to Mozambique with (nationalist Edgar) Tekere, my ambition was to go to Ghana to see where my son was buried.’ So, he was isolated by Samora Machel; Samora did not trust Mugabe for 19 months,” he said.

Mutambara further revealed that Machel later allowed Mugabe and his people to travel to London.

He said Mugabe told him that when he went to London, he was surrounded by Zezurus who asked him what he was doing in the party of Karangas and Manyikas.

The former DPM said Mugabe further told him that the Zezurus also urged him to leave Zanu and join Abel Muzorewa, where his clansmen were based.

He said Mugabe told him that he urged Zezurus to re-join Zanu, leading to all of them re-joining the party.

“What I am saying to you is there is a serious problem of ethnicity in this country,” Mutambara said.

He also revealed that his book will explain why issues like the Gold Mafia happen in government.

“My book will explain to you why these things happen. My book will show you why we have tribalism in Zimbabwe. My book will show you why Zunaid Moti paid the Vice-President and the President for the coup and paid the judge. My book will explain those farms,” Mutambara said.

He said he offered solutions through his book because it was not enough to criticise and describe problems.

“We need a redemptive paradigm for Zimbabwe, for Africa and for the global south. As we criticise, let’s also have solutions,” he said.

Mutambara described Mugabe as an academic who loved education.

“I have a doctorate from Oxford and he liked this man who went to school,” quipped Mutambara.

“I am a history buff, I love history. Mugabe liked telling stories. I would say to him tell me about Joshua Nkomo, tell me about Tongogara, tell me about Ndabaningi Sithole and he would sing.

“He was very good with old stuff. His memory on current matters was very poor, but in old stuff he was great so he liked me so we used to get along well.”

Mutambara said Mugabe liked him because he was principled.

“If it’s a no, it’s a no; if it’s a yes, it’s a yes. I would not change when I go outside the room. Some of his friends (pointing at Gorden Moyo) would change. With me, once I decide no Mugabe, it’s a no,” he said.

Mutambara lamented that the economic situation in Zimbabwe has criminalised everyone.

“Arbitrage has the danger of making everyone a criminal,” he said.

Mutambara also noted that the GNU failed to deliver reforms, with opposition political leaders only succeeding in the Constitution-making process.

“We are where we are today because of the failure of the Government of National Unity to deliver political reforms, that is one definite failure. We were very successful on the Constitution and on the economy.

“We were so committed to a fault, Zanu PF were saying ‘let these fools help us revive the economy and we dump them’ and they dumped us in 2013. We were naive in a way as ministers in the GNU,” he added.

Kasukuwere Shakes Mnangagwa

By-Zanu PF has responded to the announcement by the party’s self-exiled former Political Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere that he wants to contest in the presidential race ahead of the 23 August harmonised elections, a party official has said.

The party’s director of information and publicity, Tafadzwa Mugwadi said Mnangagwa would not be moved by Kasukuwere.

Mugwadi told NewsDay that the party was not concerned about a “fugitive of justice” in reference to Kasukuwere who faces arrest over a litany of charges. Said Mugwadi:

ZANU PF does not lose sleep over nothing. There is no Zimbabwean constituency across the Limpopo to the extent that you are aware.

We are focused on winning the election for development and our indomitable presidential candidate H.E Cde ED Mnangagwa does not lose sleep over a barking fugitive of justice.

After all, it’s good to have ambitions, but it will be foolhardy and tomfoolery to aspire to empty an ocean using buckets.

We have already set preparations in motion for the inauguration of would-be President-elect, Cde ED Mnangagwa.

Let Tom, Dick and Harry throw their hat in the ring, but in the end, Floyd Mayweather has no defeat.

However, a political analyst Rejoice Ngwenya, told NewsDay that if ZANU PF allows Kasukuwere to contest, their candidate, President Emmerson Mnangagwa will lose. Said Ngwenya:

If that happens, then Mnangagwa is gone.

But I can tell you, Mnangagwa and his allies are busy doing what they can to stop Kasukuwere from contesting.

If he does, he will divide the Zanu PF vote.

But I don’t think he will even make it to the Nomination Court.

The chances are very slim. Mnangagwa won’t fold his hands and let it happen.

Contacted for comment by NewsDay on Monday, 05 June, Kasukuwere said:

I know people are interested to know (about the candidature), but I can assure you that you will be the first to get the official statement.

Kasukuwere fled the country during the military coup in November 2017 and briefly returned home in January 2018 and was arrested on corruption charges.

The charges were later dismissed by the Harare Magistrates Court but after he left the country again.

In October 2020, the Government sought Kasukuwere’s extradition from South Africa after issuing a warrant for his arrest.

Mutambara Predicts Another Violent Land Reform

By- Former Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara has sensationally claimed that all top Zanu PF chefs have acquired title deeds to the farms they grabbed from white former farmers at the height of the land reform programme.

While making a presentation at the launch of his latest book in Bulawayo on Friday, Mutambara also claimed that the late former President Robert Mugabe had no faith in the land reform programme, and often insinuated that future generations could challenge the process.
The book, titled Ideas and Solutions: In Search of the Elusive Zimbabwean Dream, claims that several of Mugabe’s lieutenants had clandestinely acquired title deeds for their farms to protect themselves from future reclamation.
“In my book, I also reveal some interesting information. Mugabe did not have faith in the land reform programme. He said to me: ‘Mutambara, this land reform programme will be challenged by future generations.’
“‘Fifty years from now, they will be sitting and saying those guys in the year 2000 parcelled the land among themselves. We were not there, let’s reverse this thing’. Now, if Mugabe was of that mindset, you know what he did, he does not have a 99-year lease, he bought these farms and he had title deeds,” Mutambara said.
He said most of Mugabe’s lieutenants in the system had title deeds, adding that the 99-year leases were for some war veterans and low-ranking army officers.
“Any minister, any judge, any commander of consequence is holding onto a title deed. I will explain how it was done. You want to know how it was done during (former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon) Gono’s tenure, during the burning of cash.
“They would first chase away the farmer from the farm and the farmer will run away, go to Australia, go to New Zealand, go to Harare and live in a shack. They can’t pay fees for their children because they are desperate and they then follow the farmer six months later and ask ‘Mr Farmer, how much is your farm?’” Mutambara claimed.
He said if the farmer would say US$50 million, they would reject the amount and offer to pay about US$4 million and out of desperation, the white farmer would take the amount and release the title deeds to them and keep quiet.
He said the top officials were “burning money” during Gono’s time to raise money to pay the desperate farmers.
“So, these guys are safe under any regime because they are holding on to title deeds,” Mutambara claimed.
He also bemoaned the closing of democratic space in the country ahead of elections.
Speaking at the launch, Citizen Coalition for Change deputy spokesperson Gift Siziba said Mutambara’s book presented solutions to resolve the leadership question in Zimbabwe.
“This book is a reminder to us as young people that this country is not short of ideas, but is short of leadership. The greatest challenge that we face 43 years after independence is the deficit of stewardship and leadership, the ability to change the lives of ordinary people,” Siziba said.
The launch was chaired by former State Enterprises and Parastatals minister Gorden Moyo and was attended by former ministers Samuel Sipepa Nkomo, David Coltart, academics, local politicians and civil society representatives. Newsday

Mnangagwa Holds On To Tsvangirai’s Bulletproof Car

By-The government is still holding on to the late Prime minister and opposition MDC founder Morgan Tsvangirai’s bulletproof car seized by Lupane police 15 years ago.

The car is now in a sorry state at Lupane police station where it was seized and parked.

NewsDay visited a police compound in Lupane and observed that the bulletproof car is still parked on the premises but is in a sorry state after being exposed to inclement weather since it was seized from the late opposition leader.
Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Nyathi refused to comment, saying he was busy.
“I’ m in a meeting, call me tomorrow,” he said.
Police impounded the South African registered BMW X5 that the late former MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai was using to tour rural Matabeleland North province in 2008 which formed part of Tsvangirai’s security motorcade, on June 6, 2008, in Lupane.
Citizen Coalition for Change CCC Matabeleland North provincial secretary Dalumuzi Khumalo said police arrested Tsvangirai, his former deputy Thokozani Khupe and former national chairperson Lovemore Moyo as they visited Lupane district to mobilise support ahead of the 2008 second-round presidential election.
“The police claimed the car was not authorised to be in Zimbabwe in terms of the Customs and Excise Act. They demanded that the owner either come to Lupane or he sends a written affidavit explaining how the vehicle was temporarily imported into Zimbabwe,” Khumalo said.
The vehicle was donated to Tsvangirai by his South African friend Adrian Espag for use as he toured the country to drum up support ahead of the 2008 presidential poll.
In 2011, the police also seized cars belonging to Tsvangirai’s official escort for having beacon lights usually found on police vehicles. Newsday

Mnangagwa Aide Pesters Varsity Student For S*x

The Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC), a Constitutional body whose key mandate is to investigate violations of rights relating to gender equality is under fire from the public for remaining mum in the wake of allegations that a Government Minister has been demanding sex from a disadvantaged university student whose fees he is paying.

Minister of State for Agricultural Colleges, Water Resources and Irrigation Development, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Davis Marapira sponsored the intelligent National University of Science and Technology (NUST) girl since she was doing Form 5 at Zimuto High near Masvingo.

However, he allegedly started demanding sex from the girl when she was in Form 6 and putting pressure on her by sending threatening messages, according to WhatsApp exchanges in the hands of The Mirror.

The First Year Biotech student who cannot be named for ethical reasons has since opted out of Marapira’s education scheme as she feared for her life. The Minister is allegedly in the habit of inviting her to his hotel room at night whenever he visits Bulawayo. The last time was in April when he was in the city for the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).

Marapira who comes from the same constituency as the girl would also call the girl from her rural home to meet him at night. Marapira promised to call back The Mirror for comment but never did.

Readers have been inundating The Mirror with calls trying to find out what the Gender Commission and women organisations in Zimbabwe’s positions on the matter is.

The Mirror called ZGC CEO Virginia Muwanigwa who said that her organisation is investigating the matter.

The girl however said she has not been contacted by the Commission although it is now six weeks after the case of sexual abuse went public. It is not clear how the Commission would conduct investigations without involving the complainant.

Experts said ZGC runs the risk of becoming a toothless bulldog in a country where abuse of women is rampant particularly by politicians and the powerful.

Voters Roll Inspection Update

At a time when the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission is currently working on the final voters’ roll, fixing problems discovered during the inspection, many have verified their registration status virtually.

Zec carried out a nationwide check last week to correct and clean up mistakes and anomalies on the voter list.

Across the nation, more than 11 000 inspection sites were established to allow voters who registered on or before April 28 to check their registration details. A total of 529 264 males and 648 062 women participated in the physical examination. In addition, a sizable number virtually checked the roll.

People have been asking the electoral administration organisation how their registration information was recorded, and the organisation is finally responding to those questions.

Some members of the public claimed that their names had vanished from the voter list, while others said that their names had indeed been fully struck off.

Ambassador Rodney Kiwa, vice-chairman of Zec, stated that they were currently completing the required revisions and working on the final voters’ list to make way for candidate nominations.

“The rationale for the voters roll inspection is to ensure every registrant is accurately captured on the roll and all corrections made.

“To suggest that members of a particular political party are targeted for exclusion is not only mischievous and preposterous as we are fully independent of any political party influence and in fact when registering voters we do not seek their political alignment. It would be illegal and unethical,” said Amb Kiwa.

On Wednesday last week, President Mnangagwa proclaimed August 23, 2023, as the day on which harmonised elections will be held and fixed June 21, 2023, as the day on which the Nomination Court will sit to consider and accept candidates for Presidential, Parliamentary, and local authority elections.

The Nomination Court will sit at the High Court to consider Presidential candidates while it will sit at all the 10 provincial capitals for Parliamentary candidates.

The President has also set 2 October 2023 as the day for the run-off election, should there be no outright winner in the presidential election as contemplated by the Constitution.

The Nomination Court will sit at all council offices across the country to consider candidates for local authority elections.

Losers Must Accept Defeat- Mnangagwa

Director Dupes CarBuyers USD102,000

Police have launched a manhunt for a company director who, in January and February of this year, defrauded at least 17 people out of almost $102,000 by tricking them into thinking that his company could help them import cars from Japan.
Investigations showed that the victims went to Siyaya Trading and paid for the import of the cars there.

Delivery was supposed to happen eight weeks after payment, however no automobiles were delivered, and it is now believed that corporate managers used the money for their own purposes after converting it.

In response, police have started a manhunt for one suspect, Evans Dilingilizwe Mbasopi, according to national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

“Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating fraud cases involving purported import of vehicles on behalf of unsuspecting members of the public by a company known as Siyaya Trading Company Private Limited claiming to be a forwarding agent.

The cases cover the period extending 1st January 2023 to 28th February 2023. Investigations carried by the police established that the individuals approached the company’s offices situated at Joina City, 2nd Floor, Harare where they made payments for the import of purported vehicles from Japan.

Delivery of the purported vehicles was said to be done within eight weeks after payment.

Half of the money paid was however, channelled towards the purchase of the vehicles whilst the remainder was converted to own use by the suspects, resulting in the complainants not receiving the imported vehicles,” he said.

Asst Comm Nyathi said 17 victims were duped of approximately USD$102 636.

“ The Zimbabwe Republic Police is now appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of one of the directors of the company, Evans Dilingilizwe Mbasopi. Anyone with information should contact National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703631 or WhatsApp on 0712 800 197 or report at any nearest police station,” he said.-state media

Pitso Mosimane Speaks On Future

Al-Ahli Saudi coach Pitso Mosimane has refused to rule out the possibility of joining Kaizer Chiefs, fuelling speculation that he might head to the Soweto giants.

The 58-year-old serial championship winning coach recently guided Al-Ahli Saudi to the Saudi Arabian Pro League but has reportedly gone for five months without being paid.

Several reports in South Africa tipped the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach to replace under-fire Chiefs Authur Zwane, whose future at Naturena is shrouded in uncertainty, after failing to guide the Glamour Boys to the CAF Champions League or Confederation Cup.

While Mosimane admitted there hasn’t been any offer from Chiefs, the former Al Ahly coach did not rule out the possibility of eventually joining Amakhosi.

“I will ask my agent, but he has never told me anything about Kaizer Chiefs,” Mosimane told Gauteng-based South Africa radio station Power FM.

“But anything is possible. I like projects, so if someone gives me a project and has a vision. I also have my say on how things can go from step one, two and three,” added Mosimane.- Soccer24 News

Train Citizens Agents Now

The recruitment and training of polling agents is now imperative! CCC Namibia echoes.

05 June 2023

Barely three months before the historic watershed elections in Zimbabwe, the Citizens Coalition for Change should now commence the recruitment and training of polling agents. It is now critical to working tirelessly to avert a disputed election in Zimbabwe. CCC Namibia supposes that polling agents should be recruited and trained on time so that on the 23rd of August, they will surely and effectively defend the people of Zimbabwe against rigging.

Defending and protecting the vote must begin in earnest since the political behemoth is targeting six million votes for a complete change. We anticipate volunteers to come out pledging to sacrifice their last drop of blood and sweat to protect the will of the long-suffering citizens. Agents should be schooled on how to effectively deal with ZANU-PF shenanigans in and around the polling post. Citizens are weary of participating in flawed elections since time immemorial.

Men and women of valor in the democratic project should brace for dangerous freedom ahead of the harmonized elections. The movement needs to ensure that there are well-trained and incorruptible cadres ready to manage our polling stations making it difficult for election thieves to manipulate the plebiscite. No polling area should be left without a minimum of three polling agents to avert rigging and other malpractices. We call upon all change proponents to undertake serious vetting during the recruitment and training of these agents.

The issue of illegitimacy should be solved once and for all. We want capable agents ready to resist bribery and intimidation from the regime that has dismally failed to revamp the sunken Titanic. The people of Zimbabwe must be ready to glimpse a transparent election process on the 23rd of August 2023. Agents should not consider immediate material and financial benefits on the day in question but a comprehensive socio-economic transfiguration under the able leadership of President Advocate Nelson Chamisa.

Our biggest undoing all along was the inability to recruit and train sufficient polling agents ahead of general elections. This time, our party should deal with the fundamental issues to do the management of polling areas.

Beware Of Cholera

Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal infection caused by ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. Cholera remains a global threat to public health and an indicator of inequity and lack of social development.

Symptoms
Cholera is an extremely virulent disease that can cause severe acute watery diarrhoea. It takes between 12 hours and 5 days for a person to show symptoms after ingesting contaminated food or water (2). Cholera affects both children and adults and can kill within hours if untreated.

Most people infected with V. cholerae do not develop any symptoms, although the bacteria are present in their faeces for 1-10 days after infection and are shed back into the environment, potentially infecting other people.

Among people who develop symptoms, the majority have mild or moderate symptoms, while a minority develop acute watery diarrhoea with severe dehydration. This can lead to death if left untreated.

History
During the 19th century, cholera spread across the world from its original reservoir in the Ganges delta in India. Six subsequent pandemics killed millions of people across all continents. The current (seventh) pandemic started in South Asia in 1961, reached Africa in 1971 and the Americas in 1991. Cholera is now endemic in many countries.

Vibrio cholerae strains
There are many serogroups of V. cholerae, but only two – O1 and O139 – cause outbreaks. V. cholerae O1 has caused all recent outbreaks. V. cholerae O139 – first identified in Bangladesh in 1992 – caused outbreaks in the past, but recently has only been identified in sporadic cases. It has never been identified outside Asia. There is no difference in the illness caused by the two serogroups.

Epidemiology, risk factors, and disease burden
Cholera can be endemic or epidemic. A cholera-endemic area is an area where confirmed cholera cases were detected during the last 3 years with evidence of local transmission (meaning the cases are not imported from elsewhere). A cholera outbreak/epidemic can occur in both endemic countries and in countries where cholera does not regularly occur.

In cholera endemic countries an outbreak can be seasonal or sporadic and represents a greater than expected number of cases. In a country where cholera does not regularly occur, an outbreak is defined by the occurrence of at least 1 confirmed case of cholera with evidence of local transmission in an area where there is not usually cholera.

Cholera transmission is closely linked to inadequate access to clean water and sanitation facilities. Typical at-risk areas include peri-urban slums, and camps for internally displaced persons or refugees, where minimum requirements of clean water and sanitation are not been met.

The consequences of a humanitarian crisis – such as disruption of water and sanitation systems, or the displacement of populations to inadequate and overcrowded camps – can increase the risk of cholera transmission, should the bacteria be present or introduced. Uninfected dead bodies have never been reported as the source of epidemics.

The number of cholera cases reported to WHO has continued to be high over the last few years. During 2020 323 369 cases, 857 deaths were notified from 24 countries 3. The discrepancy between these figures and the estimated burden of the disease is due many cases not being recorded due to limitations in surveillance systems and fear of impact on trade and tourism.

Prevention and control
A multifaceted approach is key to control cholera, and to reduce deaths. A combination of surveillance, water, sanitation and hygiene, social mobilisation, treatment, and oral cholera vaccines are used.

Messi Set For Barcelona Return ?

Lionel Messi’s father and agent Jorge Messi has been spotted in Barcelona —where he held a meeting with FC Barcelona president Joan Larporta —fuelling speculation that the Argentine ace might return to his boyhood club.

Messi left Barcelona in August 2021 after 21 years at the club and joined French giants Paris Saint-German.

After just two years in the French capital, it was confirmed that the seven-time World Player of the Year will leave the club at end of the 2022/23 season.

Speculation of Messi’s return to Barcelona has been rife, based on the fact that the Argentine’s former teammate Xavi, is now the head coach at the Catalan giants.- Soccer24 News

Bosso Coach Blasts Critics

The Portugese mentor came under scrutiny when Bosso drew five league games in a row.

But after yesterday’s crucial 1-0 victory over city rivals Bulawayo Chiefs, which saw Bosso returning to the summit of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table, Brito said the criticism on the team is unwarranted.

Nine Die In Nyanga Horror Crashes

By- A spate of road accidents involving school children has claimed nine lives and left 32 others injured in the past week.

On Friday, a Nissan Caravan carrying 30 pupils veered off the road and overturned three times near the 26-kilometre peg along Juliasdale-Nyanga Road, killing four and injuring 11.

The victims were taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital for post-mortem and treatment respectively.

Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident in a statement.

“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on June 2, 2023 at the 26-kilometre peg along Juliasdale-Nyanga Road in which four people were killed whilst 11 others were injured,” Nyathi said.

“A Nissan Caravan travelling towards Watsomba with 30 school pupils on board veered off the road and overturned three times before landing on its left side. The victims’ bodies were taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem whilst the injured are admitted at the same hospital,” he added.

This came just two days after another fatal crash involving a Mazda T35 truck and an Inter Africa Zhongtong bus along the Harare-Masvingo Road.

The truck, which had 22 pupils on board, was hit on the driver’s door by the bus and it veered off the road, throwing out all the pupils.

One pupil died on the spot while three others succumbed to their injuries at Beatrice Hospital.

The remaining 18 were also admitted at the same hospital.

The bus had 59 passengers on board but none of them were injured.

Police are investigating the causes of both accidents and urged drivers to exercise caution on the roads.

Mutambara Divuldges Mugabe Secretes

Newsday

Tsvangirai’s Seized Bulletproof Car Rots At Lupane Police Station

By-A bulletproof car belonging to the late Prime minister and opposition MDC founder Morgan Tsvangirai is in a sorry state at Lupane police station, where it was seized 15 years ago.

Newsday

BREAKING: Kasukuwere To Contest Chamisa, ED In 2023 Polls

Former ZANU PF G40 Mugabe-successor, Saviour Kasukuwere has will contest this year’s national and presidential election.

The twist throws the upcoming elections into a major tailspin and might be detrimental to both ZANU PF and Nelson Chamisa’s CCC party.

Kasukuwere told SABC Journalist, Sophie Mokwana, Kasukuwere he will be making an official statement soon.

“Sophie good morning. The call has been made and yes I will be making a formal statement on my candidature. Thank you for asking,” said the former minister on his Twitter handle.

While ZANU PF believes it would preserve its support base and the former Minister will catch fish in the opposition’s pond, CCC supporters believe that bringing Kasukuwere into the fold will split the votes for the ruling party.

It is unclear if Kasukuwere will put his name in the hat and nominate people nationwide with less than 16 days till the nomination court meets.

According to sources close to the Kasukwere camp, the former G40 members, gamatox, expelled members, and everyone who finished last in the ZANU PF primary elections are his main targets. He is also said to have over USD $1 million available for the campaign.

Another former cabinet minister, Simba Makoni, ran in the 2008 presidential elections as well. When the nation was unable to elect a clear winner, this ultimately led to the foundation of the GNU.

Similar to 2008, inflation is currently in free fall, and similar to 2008, a former cabinet minister plans to run for office.

Another run-off or loading of GNU? The solution appears on August 23, 2023.- Agencies

Discord In Chamisa’s Camp Over Candidate Selection Process

By-Reports from the Nelson Chamisa-led CCC suggest that some defeated members in the nomination process want to appeal before the final list of successful candidates is announced in a week.

This comes after the CCC had a citizens caucus meeting on Saturday in all provinces to confirm its election nominees, despite allegations that some significant names were left off the list.
Some candidates who failed to make it in Bulawayo include current Bulawayo Metropolitan MP, Jasmine Toffa who was beaten by newcomer Minenhle Gumede, who will run for the Bulawayo North parliamentary seat if she is successful.
Gumede, who was nominated for Bulawayo North, also came tops against CCC Bulawayo Provincial Spokesperson, Swithern Chirowodza and Elvis Mujeri.
Njube -Lobengula MP Gift Banda, was disqualified with sources claiming he attempted to force his way into the contest and allegedly bussed people but the decision to cut him off was held by the party.
Former Deputy Mayor and Ward 3 councillor, Tinashe Kambarami whose tenure in the Bulawayo City Council was marred by legal battles also failed to make it with sources alleging that he may be among those who will file an appeal.
“Candidates who were dissatisfied with Saturday’s outcome might file their appeals within seven days before the final list is made public,” said reliable party sources.
“Naturally there won’t be an announcement within that period as we have seven days to make appeals. Judging from that it is quite definite there won’t be any announcement this week. There can’t be an announcement of who made it before these appeal processes are through, it’s only logical,” said the sources.
Some of the sources said they were ready to file their own appeals in certain wards since the candidate selection form stated appeals must be made within seven days after which there will be an announcement.
“The community caucus process happened on Saturday, so the next seven days will exclude weekends. Sunday was a weekend, then we have this Monday to Friday, which is five days then Monday to Tuesday, the other week making it to seven meaning the announcement will be made any time from next week Wednesday,” sources said.
According to sources, there is also a widespread misconception that the person with the most nomination votes will inevitably be the candidate, which was not the case.
“We have what we call ‘Consensus preference’ which when defined in the media is mobilisation of consensus in relation to numbers. But the person who gets the highest numbers in consensus preference will not automatically be the candidate and that is what people must bear in mind,” said the sources who explained that candidates had to satisfy other set criteria before representing people.
“There are boxes to tick such as if the said person has a role in the party, which position did they have, what does their CV look like, what is their credibility, loyalty and service in the party? All these play a part, consensus preference is just one of the boxes that has to be ticked.”
Some of the councillors said to have made it for the council elections list include:
Mpumelelo Moyo – Ward 26, Donaldson Mabuto – Ward 9, Tinevimbo Maphosa – Ward 21, Tawanda Ruzive – Ward 5 and Edwin Ndlovu – Ward 8.
Some of the newcomers gunning for council seats include Human Resources Officer for Tendy Three Investments (TTI) Melissa Mabeza who will contest in Ward 4, Mxolisi Mahlangu – Ward 3, Nkosi Hove -Ward 6 and Adrian Moyo – Ward 2.
CCC member, Discent Bajila was nominated as the parliamentary candidate for Emakhandeni -Luveve while Dr Thokozani Khupe received most consensus preference votes to represent the party in the newly constituted Cowdray Park constituency.

Kasukuwere Splitting Votes? – Koni

By Leornard Koni | The Zimbabwean harmonised elections are around the corner. The date to hold the election has been announced and every serious political party is now gearing for this do or die election where a battle and contestation of ideas is now at full throttle.

By Leonard Koni

Interestingly the story of the entrance of Zanu PF’s prodigal son Mr Saviour Kasukuwere into the political ring to wrestle power from Emmerson Mnangagwa seems to be gathering momentum.

Kasukuwere nicknamed Tyson by his staunch followers in the political circles, used to command a higher post in the former Mugabe’s regime dubbed the first republic. He was actually leading a Zanu PF group of young turks which was preparing to take over from Mugabe. The group which called itself The G40 is still kicking and alive causing sleepless nights to Team Lacoste.

At this juncture the electorate is now caught in between two horns of a dilemma and with some not trusting Kasukuwere because of his Zanu PF’s umbilical cord which he is carrying. Saviour could have repented but still no one trust his political moves and this is likely to dampen the spirit of would be voters who want to see change in the country.

He could be wholly owned Zanu PF subsidiary and Zimbabweans will be much careful whether to take him seriously. Some sections of voters are likely to reject him hook, line and sinker.

August 23 election must usher in a leader who should take charge of the country and take it to another level. As a presidential aspirant will Saviour Kasukuwere be representing the generality of the population that has no political home especially the disgruntled Zanu PF G40 members who felt outdone by Team Lacoste and those that have but are not happy for one reason or the other?

It is however his democratic right to contest but looks like the room or space for him to campaign freely will be jeorpadised a little bit by ruthless Mnangagwa. He is lilkely to use security apparatus to twart his campaigning trail because he feels Kasukuwere poses a threat to his political career.

Constitutionally as a citizen of Zimbabwe he must be allowed to campaign like every political leader in the country.

I think he must come in and split the Zanu PF votes and this will definitely give Nelson Chamisa of Citizens Coalition for Change an edge ro win resoundingly. Alternatively Nelson Chamisa must not go to sleep but must pile up more pressure in all Zanu PF’s strongholds.

The timing of Saviour Kasukuwere in the ring is well timed. If he is serious, he is likely to grab some of those rural areas like Mt Darwin, Guruve and Nyamapanda.

For a starter I think Kasukuwere should endorse Nelson Chamisa and then work together thereafter to represent the voiceless masses, the downtrodden, the disenfranchised citizens of Zimbabweans.

This is a generational consensus. Zimbabwe needs young people to take charge of their destiny. Its not too late to bury our political differences.

I really go for his hat in the ring despite his political history and the way he harrased most Zimbabweans during Mugabe’s era. It works well to split votes and decimate known political foes

Zimbabwe needs a new political trajectory in order to move forward. Governments run through a coup have never been succesful as they are full of fissures of misgovernance.

In a World Bank regional statistics it shows that when President Emmerson Mnangagwa took over power through a coup, poverty levels were at 29 % and as of July 2022, it was at 49%.

This is so embarrassing for a country that used to command a very good economic growth.

Masiyiwa Makes The Grade Among Giants

According to Forbes, there are currently 2,640 billionaires in the world. They are collectively worth $12.2 trillion. The United States is the number one home of billionaires with 735 of them, followed by China’s 495 billionaires and India’s 169 billionaires.

There are only 17 Black billionaires in the world according to this list, making the group less than 1% of the list.

Most of these names you’re already familiar with as being billionaires for many years but some of them are newly added to the list. Today, we will look at all 17 of them and how they made their money.

17. Lebron James

This 18 times NBA All-Star, four-time NBA champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist is a history-making billionaire as he becomes the very first active player to make it on Forbes’ list of world billionaires with $1 billion.

In 2021, Lebron is estimated to have earned $121.2 million. Lebron told GQ magazine in 2014 that becoming a billionaire is his biggest milestone, and less than a decade later, he is one.

Besides earning $385 million in salary from the various NBA teams he has played for, Lebron has also brought in $900 million from endorsements and other business ventures.

He signed his first deal with Nike back in 2003 as an 18-year-old and made a lifetime agreement with the brand in 2015. That Nike deal alone pays him tens of millions every year.

But what Lebron does besides being the face of brands is get equity in the brands he partners with, giving him a stake in the brands instead of just a paycheck for his pitches.

16. Tyler Perry

Media mogul Tyler Perry joined the billionaire list in September of 2020 and is currently worth $1 billion.

He was the third highest-paid entertainer in the world in 2022, bringing in an estimated $175 million. Of course, Perry is best known for this seemingly never-ending Madea movies but he has a lot going on outside of the Madea world.

Perry had a seven-year partnership with Oprah’s OWN network and created shows like “The Have and Have Nots” and “If Loving You Is Wrong.”

In 2017, he signed a contract with BET’s parent company, Viacom, to produce exclusive original content for BET.

The deal also gives Tyler 25% equity stake in BET’s streaming service BET+. Forbes also estimates Tyler Perry Studios, the 300-acre production studio in Atlanta, is worth $280 million.

Tiger Woods is another newcomer to the billionaire list, making it in 2022 with an estimated worth of $1.1 billion.

Even in a year where he was hardly ever on the golf course because he was recovering from a serious car accident, Tiger still managed to earn $68 million in off-course income, making him the 14th highest-paid athlete in the world.

Tiger Woods won his first Masters Championship in 1997 and won $486,000 in prize money.

He now has various business ventures including a golf design business, a live events production company, and a restaurant.

But he deviated from the engineering field to find work as a financial advisor, later acquiring a company called Advantage Investment Council. He renamed the company AIC and grew it from having $800,000 in holdings to around $6 billion.

10. Michael Jordan

There are so many titles you can put on Michael Jordan, from the greatest NBA player of all time to now the richest former professional athlete in the world with a net worth of $2 billion.

Believe it or not, Jordan actually made less than $100 million in NBA contracts, so a vast majority of his wealth was built after retiring from the game 20 years ago. His biggest source of wealth is his stake in the NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets.

He has stakes in Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Usse cognac as well as investments in Uber and various real estate properties. Back in 2021, the digital payments company Square acquired a majority ownership stake in Tidal, Jay Z’s music streaming company. The deal was for a mix of cash and stock of $297 million. Jay bought Tidal in 2015 for $56 million.

That wasn’t the first time the rapper sold one of his companies for large sums. In 2007, Jay-Z’s Rocawear, a clothing company he started in 1999, was sold for $204 million.

7. Oprah Winfrey

Oprah, aka the Queen of all media, is currently estimated to be worth $2.5 billion. Most talk show hosts ride off into the sunset after their career in talk show hosting ends, but not Oprah. She has roared into the media empire with her own cable channel, OWN, which launched in 2011. She later sold most of her stake in the network to Discovery. Zimbabwe’s ‘Patriot Bill’ Raises Concerns About Freedom of Expression

A new bill that was recently passed by the Zimbabwean Parliament has raised concerns about freedom of expression.

The bill, known as the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Amendment Bill, criminalizes any citizen who meets with foreign diplomats or officials if the State suspects that sanctions may have been discussed.

The bill also gives the government broad powers to prosecute anyone who is seen as undermining the country or making false statements to paint a negative picture of the country to foreign governments.

Critics of the bill say that it is a draconian attempt to silence dissent and that it will have a chilling effect on freedom of expression in Zimbabwe.

“This bill is a direct attack on our right to free speech,” said Chris Mhike, a media defense lawyer. “It is a clear attempt by the government to silence its critics and to control the flow of information.”

Mhike said that the bill is also unconstitutional because it violates the right to freedom of expression guaranteed by the Zimbabwean Constitution.

“The government has no right to tell us who we can and cannot talk to,” Mhike said. “This bill is a clear violation of our fundamental rights.”

The bill is now set to be debated in the Senate. It is unclear whether the Senate will approve the bill, but if it does, it is likely to face legal challenges.

In the meantime, the bill has already had a chilling effect on freedom of expression in Zimbabwe. Many people are now afraid to speak out against the government or to criticize its policies.

The passage of the Patriot Bill is a worrying development for Zimbabwe. It is a clear sign that the government is becoming increasingly intolerant of dissent. If the bill is not challenged and overturned, it will have a devastating impact on freedom of expression in Zimbabwe.

“This book is a reminder to us as young people that this country is not short of ideas, but is short of leadership,” Siziba said. “The greatest challenge that we face 43 years after independence is the deficit of stewardship and leadership, the ability to change the lives of ordinary people,” Siziba said.

The launch was chaired by former State Enterprises and Parastatals minister Gorden Moyo and was attended by former ministers Samuel Sipepa Nkomo, David Coltart, academics, local politicians and civil society representatives.

Mutambara’s claims are a serious allegation that could have far-reaching implications for Zimbabwe. If true, it would mean that the top officials in Zanu PF have benefited personally from the land reform programme, while the country’s economy has continued to decline.

The claims could also damage the reputation of Zanu PF ahead of the upcoming elections. The party is already facing criticism for its handling of the economy and the land reform programme.

Mutambara’s claims are likely to be met with denials from Zanu PF. However, the claims have already been met with support from some opposition parties.

The Citizen Coalition for Change, which is the main opposition party in Zimbabwe, has welcomed Mutambara’s claims. The party has said that the claims are a “reminder” of the need for change in Zimbabwe.

The claims are a serious development that could have a significant impact on Zimbabwe’s future. It remains to be seen whether the claims will be substantiated, but they have already raised serious questions about the government’s handling of the land reform programme.

Doctor Faces Disciplinary Charges After Allegedly Extorting Money From Parent of Injured Pupil

A Chitungwiza Central Hospital doctor is facing disciplinary charges after allegedly attempting to extort US$350 from a parent of a girl who was injured in a road traffic accident on Wednesday.

The accident occurred along the Harare-Masvingo Road when a Mazda T35 truck carrying 22 learners from Karrenboon Farm was hit by a bus. Five people, including four pupils, were killed and 21 others were injured.

Four of the injured pupils were taken to Chitungwiza Central Hospital, where one of them remains in a critical condition.

The doctor, who has not been named, is alleged to have approached the parent of the injured pupil and demanded US$350 in exchange for treating the child. The parent refused to pay the money and reported the doctor to the hospital authorities.

The doctor has been suspended pending the outcome of the disciplinary hearing.

The incident has sparked outrage among the public, who have expressed anger and disgust at the doctor’s behavior.

“It is absolutely appalling that a doctor would try to profit from the suffering of a child,” said one parent. “This doctor should be struck off the medical register.”

ZANU PF Secretary for Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa, has condemned the doctor’s actions and has promised that the matter will be dealt with swiftly and decisively.

“This is a very serious matter and we will not tolerate it,” said Dr Parirenyatwa. “We will ensure that the doctor is brought to justice.”

The incident has highlighted the need for greater transparency and accountability in the healthcare sector. It is important that patients are able to trust that doctors will always act in their best interests, and that they will not be exploited or taken advantage of.

Juvenile Arrested for Murder, Three Others on the Run

A 17-year-old juvenile from Fort Rixon has been arrested for the murder of a drinking mate, while police are searching for three other suspects who are on the run.

The deceased, Readman Ndlovu (46), from Combo village, Fort Rixon, was stabbed to death on May 27 at 10:30pm.

According to Matabeleland South police spokesperson Inspector Loveness Mangena, Ndlovu had advised the juvenile not to drink beer because of his age. This led to a misunderstanding, and one of the suspects stabbed Ndlovu in the stomach.

The three other suspects then fled the scene. A report was made to the police, and the juvenile was arrested.

The police are still searching for the three other suspects. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to contact the police.

This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. We hope that the police will be able to apprehend the three other suspects and bring them to justice.

In addition to the tragic loss of life, this incident also highlights the dangers of underage drinking. Alcohol can impair judgment and lead to violence. It is important for parents and guardians to talk to their children about the dangers of underage drinking and to set a good example by not drinking themselves.

We hope that this incident will serve as a wake-up call to the community and that it will lead to a decrease in underage drinking.

See More Of Simone

By Collen Kajokoto | I want to borrow your light,
For it comforts me in the night.

I want to borrow your eyes
To see all the beauty you find
Will I ever see more
What other see in Simone?
I want to borrow your lips
Just borrow your taste, just a kiss
And you I won’t miss.
I want to borrow your heart
For mine I so lost in the dark.
My Simone!!
Willingly you offer your light,
But you feel quite lost in my night,
And you offer of me your eyes
But it leaves your vision blind,
Obscure to my brewing troubles.
You melt your taste in my kiss
And now it’s the taste you miss.
You give me your beautiful heart,
I wish to hold it in all without hurt.
Cupid Simone!!

You wait for all to return
But the borrowed is taken and burned,
So lost all your love in my night,
You forget you were holding the light,
But your eyes have a vision so deep
That your heart has no choice but to keep,
So as you burn the truth in the night,
Wings start to lift you in flight.
Adorable Simone!!

See, you give but nothing is taken,
You just lose it in all the forsaken,
But the truth of your love never dies,
It just gives you the dance of the night.
In the night we give love sacrificed
Till we fall, in the empty of sight
Yet the fall is always to find
A love that is never sacrificed.
Affable Simone!!

Each time our love is taken,
Let it grow, never leave it forsaken,
For love always grow, never dies,
But the night has to be sacrificed.
This is the contrast of dark with the light
That gives every wing strength to fly.
We make love, dancing colours to life,
Making rainbows; we rain till we shine.
Raining Simone!!
