Seeing the Invisible

Sabbath School Summary
By Elder Dr Masimba Mavaza

Lesson 8

Memory Text: “By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible” (Hebrews 11:27, NKJV).

INTRODUCTION

The definition of faith in the book of Hebrews is always challeng-ing. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Heb. 11:1, NIV). How can we be sure about what we do not see? Yet, this is exactly what Moses illustrates in our memory verse: “He persevered because he saw him who is invisible” (Heb. 11:27, NIV).

It is even more challenging to realize that we are called to see “him who is invisible” not simply when times are good but especially when everything is going wrong. For this we need faith, a Christlike faith that must be shaped by the truth about God and God’s kingdom. The truth about our Father’s goodness, the power in the name of Jesus, the power of the Resurrection, and the compassion of God are essential truths that will enable us to stand strong when we are in the crucible and may be tempted to doubt everything.

The Week at a Glance: What truths about God can help sustain us through even the worst situations?

SABBATH: True faith is only easy to those who haven’t tried it. It is a steady belief in something unseen (Heb. 11:1). How can we be sure about what we do not see? Moses trusted in God Who is invisible (Heb. 11:27). To be able to endure trials (crucibles) of this world, we need to cultivate a Christlike faith. A faith shaped by truth in God’s love, power & resurrection power casts away any hints of doubts.

SUNDAY: Doubt in God originates from two main thoughts. First, if God is good, He won’t allow any bad thing to happen to us. Second, our experience clashes with our beliefs; if a thing feels good then it is good. Hence, we’re angry when we can’t have it. The solution to all doubts about God is allowing the truth about His love to have a more powerful impact on us than doubts (Rom. 8:28-39). He gave us Jesus.

MONDAY: What is so special about the name of Jesus that we always add on to the end of our prayers? He promised His disciples when He was about to ascend to heaven that if they ask (pray for) anything in His name, they’ll have it. We can be sure that the whole of heaven is at work for our good when we pray in Jesus’ name (John 14:1-14). We may not see angels but our pleas are sent to God to fulfill them.

TUESDAY: Jesus did great works while on earth, but greater works shall He do for us today if we believe in His Resurrection power. His life, death, & resurrection paid the penalty of our sins, assured us of eternal life, & drew us back to God. But much more than that is that the Resurrection placed Jesus at the right hand of God in a locus of power & authority. It gave Him the power to rule (Eph. 1:18-23).

WEDNESDAY: “Do not be anxious about anything?” The truth is that we often worry more than we pray. Some have a mounted plague that reads; “why pray when you can worry?” Apostle Peter who had his fair share of worry admonished us to “cast” our anxieties on God (1 Pet. 5:7; Ps. 55:22, Matt. 6:25-33). When our lives get tied up, God can untie the knots. He cares & can transform any situation.

THURSDAY: When those you know seem indifferent to you, it can be sad. But to think that your Maker (God) does not know or care about you can be most worrying. To the Judaeans exiled in Babylon, God did not seem to care about them. They were not seeing any proof of His words of cheer (Isa. 40:27-31). Similarly, in the book of Esther, we don’t even find God’s name. But He was there to save (Rev. 13:15).

FRIDAY: When you pray to God, do not doubt. So long as you go to God with a humble spirit, ready to learn, & take Him at His word, believe that He’ll bless you. His Holy Spirit is a real, true, & actual guide Who can teach us to do the will of God. Some men seem afraid to trust in God. In doubting, they dishonor Him. Our part after we have prayed is to believe. Faith grows in times of doubts & trials.

—Ellen G. White, “In the Days of Queen Esther,” pp. 598–606, in Prophets and Kings, Manuscript Releases, vol. 6, p. 225, & Testimonies for the Church, vol. 3, p. 555.

Keywords

God’s response to prayer- while the power of God may come with dramatic effect, as when Jesus calmed the storm, it also may come in quietness, unnoticed, as when the power of God sustained Jesus in Gethsemane. Something dramatic may not suddenly happen, but that doesn’t mean that God is not at work for us.

Faith & Feeling- Feelings are essential part of what it means to be a human being. Sadly, our feelings are often misled in a sin-sick world. We live by faith & not feelings (the sense of touch, smell, sight, hearing & taste). But Faith is not blind. Faith gives us the right feelings.

God’s generosity- It is evident in the death of Christ. He gave us His only Son to die for us.

Discussion Questions

? As a class, talk about the kinds of things we believe in that we do not see, things that we know are real yet are beyond our sight. How can this help us understand what it means to see “Him who is invisible”?

? Discuss the final question found at the end of Wednesday’s study. How often do we find ourselves in that situation? What can we do that will better enable us to trust that the Lord’s way is the best, even if it’s not what we want?

? If “faith grows strong by coming in conflict with doubts and opposing influences” and this leads to something extremely valuable, “of more value than the most costly jewels,” how should this shape the way we look at such conflicts?

? Most of us have seen people, even fellow Christians, in situations in which, at least from our perspective, the outcome was horrible. The worst thing we imagined happened, despite the prayers and best efforts. How do we understand this in light of what we have been studying?

Measles Kills 157 Children

157 children have succumbed to measles since the outbreak of the disease in Mutasa District, Manicaland Province, on 10 April this year.

Last Sunday, Health and Child Care Ministry permanent secretary Jasper Chimedza said that 80 children had succumbed to the disease, while there were 1 036 suspected cases.

Chimedza blamed apostolic church sects (mapostori) for the surge in infections, saying measles was largely prevalent among those who had not received vaccinations. read more

Addressing a post-cabinet media briefing on Tuesday, 16 August, Information Minister Monica Mutsvangwa said that the total number of suspected cases nationwide has jumped from 1 036 to 2 056 in four days.

Most reported cases are among children aged between six months and 15 from religious sects who shun vaccination. Said Mutsvangwa:

It has been noted that most cases have not received vaccination to protect against measles.

The government has invoked the Civil Protection Unit Act to deal with this emergency.

Mutsvangwa said that the Ministry of Health and Child Care will scale up its vaccination programme before schools open in September.

Meanwhile, the government has reached out to traditional and faith leaders for their support, added Mutsvangwa.

The Adolescent And Pregnancy

Key facts

Over 1.5 million adolescents and young adults aged 10–24 years died in 2020, nearly 5000 every day.
Young adolescents aged 10–14 years have the lowest risk of death of all age groups.
Injuries (including road traffic injuries and drowning), violence, self-harm and maternal conditions are the leading causes of death among adolescents and young adults
Half of all mental health disorders in adulthood start by age 14, but most cases are undetected and untreated.
Early onset of substance use is associated with higher risks of developing dependence and other problems during adult life, and people of younger ages are disproportionately affected by substance use compared with people of older ages.
Globally, there were 41 births per 1000 to girls aged 15–19 years in 2020.

Overview
Survival chances for adolescents and young adults vary greatly across the world. In 2020, the probability of dying among those aged 10–24 years was highest in sub-Saharan Africa, Oceania (excluding Australia and New Zealand), northern Africa and southern Asia (1). The average global probability of a 10-year-old dying before age 24 was 6 times higher in sub-Saharan Africa than in North America and Europe.

Main health issues
Injuries
Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death and disability among adolescents. In 2019, nearly 100 000 adolescents (10–19 years) died as a result of road traffic accidents (2). Many of those who died were vulnerable road users, including pedestrians, cyclists or users of motorized two-wheelers. In many countries, road safety laws need to be made more comprehensive, and enforcement of such laws needs to be strengthened. Furthermore, young drivers need advice on driving safely, while laws that prohibit driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs need to be strictly enforced among all age groups. Blood alcohol levels should be set lower for young drivers than for adults. Graduated licences for novice drivers with zero-tolerance for drink-driving are recommended.

Drowning is also among the top causes of death among adolescents; more than 40 000 adolescents, over three quarters of them boys, are estimated to have drowned in 2019. Teaching children and adolescents to swim is an essential intervention to prevent these deaths.

Violence
Interpersonal violence is among the leading causes of death in adolescents and young people globally. Its prominence varies substantially by world region. It causes nearly a third of all adolescent male deaths in low- and middle-income countries in the WHO Region of the Americas. According to the global school-based student health survey 42% of adolescent boys and 37% of adolescent girls were exposed to bullying. Sexual violence also affects a significant proportion of youth: 1 in 8 young people report sexual abuse.

Violence during adolescence also increases the risks of injury, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, mental health problems, poor school performance and dropout, early pregnancy, reproductive health problems, and communicable and noncommunicable diseases.

Effective prevention and response strategies include promoting parenting and early childhood development; addressing school-based bullying prevention, programmes that develop life and social skills, and community approaches to reduce access to alcohol and firearms. Effective and empathetic care for adolescent survivors of violence, including ongoing support, can help with the physical and psychological consequences.

Mental health
Depression is one of the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents, and suicide is the second leading cause of death in people aged 15–19 years (2). Mental health conditions account for 16% of the global burden of disease and injury in people aged 10–19 years. Half of all mental health disorders in adulthood start by age 14, but most cases are undetected and untreated.

Many factors have an impact on the well-being and mental health of adolescents. Violence, poverty, stigma, exclusion, and living in humanitarian and fragile settings can increase the risk of developing mental health problems. The consequences of not addressing adolescent mental health conditions extend to adulthood, impairing both physical and mental health and limiting opportunities to lead fulfilling lives as adults.

Building socioemotional skills in children and adolescents and providing them with psychosocial support in schools and other community settings can help promote good mental health. Programmes to help strengthen the ties between adolescents and their families and improve quality of home environments are also important. If problems arise, they should be detected and timely managed by competent and caring health workers.

Adolescent mental health fact sheet

Alcohol and drug use
Drinking alcohol among adolescents is a major concern in many countries. It can reduce self-control and increase risky behaviours, such as unsafe sex or dangerous driving. It is an underlying cause of injuries (including those due to road traffic accidents), violence and premature deaths. It can also lead to health problems in later life and affects life expectancy. Worldwide, more than a quarter of all people aged 15–19 years are current drinkers, amounting to 155 million adolescents. Prevalence of heavy episodic drinking among adolescents aged 15–19 years was 13.6% in 2016, with males most at risk.

Cannabis is the most widely used psychoactive drug among young people with about 4.7% of people aged 15–16 years using it at least once in 2018. Alcohol and drug use in children and adolescents is associated with neurocognitive alterations which can lead to behavioural, emotional, social and academic problems in later life.

Prevention of alcohol and drug use are important areas of public health actions and may include population-based strategies and interventions, activities in school, community, family and on the individual level. Setting a minimum age for buying and consuming alcohol and eliminate marketing and advertising to minors are among the key strategies for reducing drinking among adolescents.

Tobacco use
The vast majority of people using tobacco today began doing so when they were adolescents. Prohibiting the sale of tobacco products to minors (under 18 years) and increasing the price of tobacco products through higher taxes, banning tobacco advertising and ensuring smoke-free environments are crucial. Globally, at least 1 in 10 adolescents aged 13–15 years uses tobacco, although there are areas where this figure is much higher.

HIV/AIDS
An estimated 1.7 million adolescents (age 10–19 years) were living with HIV in 2019 with around 90% in the WHO African Region (3). While there have been substantial declines in new infections amongst adolescents from a peak in 1994, adolescents still account for about 10% of new adult HIV infections, with three-quarters amongst adolescent girls (4). Additionally, while new infections may have fallen in many of the most severely affected countries, recent testing coverage remains low suggesting that many adolescents and young people living with HIV may not know their status (5).

Adolescents living with HIV have worse access to antiretroviral treatment, adherence to treatment, retention in care and viral suppression. A key factor contributing to these is limited provision of adolescent-friendly services including psychosocial interventions and support.

Adolescents and young people need to know how to protect themselves from HIV infection and must also have the means to do so. This includes being able to obtain access HIV prevention interventions including voluntary medical male circumcision, condoms and pre-exposure prophylaxis, better access to HIV testing and counselling, and stronger links to HIV treatment services for those who test HIV positive.

Other infectious diseases
Thanks to improved childhood vaccination, adolescent deaths and disability from measles have fallen markedly. For example, adolescent mortality from measles fell by 90% in the African Region between 2000 and 2012.

Diarrhoea and lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia) are estimated to be among the top 10 causes of death for adolescents 10–14 years. These two diseases, along with meningitis, are all among the top 5 causes of adolescent death in African low- and middle-income countries.

Infectious diseases like with human papilloma virus that normally occurs after onset of sexual activity can lead to both short-term disease (genital warts) during adolescence but more importantly also leads to cervical and other cancers several decades later. Early adolescence (9–14 years) is the optimal time for vaccination against HPV infection and it is estimated that if 90% of girls globally get the HPV vaccine more than 40 million lives could be saved over the next century. However, it is estimated that in 2019 only 15% of girls globally received the vaccine.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer fact sheet

Early pregnancy and childbirth
Approximately 12 million girls aged 15–19 years and at least 777 000 girls under 15 years give birth each year in developing regions. Complications from pregnancy and childbirth are among the leading causes of death for girls aged 15–19 years globally.

The UN Population Division puts the global adolescent birth rate in 2020 at 41 births per 1000 girls this age, and country rates range from 1 to over 200 births per 1000 girls (6). This indicates a marked decrease since 1990. This decrease is reflected in a similar decline in maternal mortality rates among girls aged 15–19 years.

One of the specific targets of the health Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 3) is that by 2030, the world should ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes.

Adolescents need and have a right to comprehensive sexuality education, a curriculum-based process of teaching and learning about the cognitive, emotional, physical and social aspects of sexuality. Better access to contraceptive information and services can reduce the number of girls becoming pregnant and giving birth at too young an age. Laws that are enforced that specify a minimum age of marriage at 18 can help.

Girls who do become pregnant need access to quality antenatal care. Where permitted by law, adolescents who opt to terminate their pregnancies should have access to safe abortion.

Football Fan Killed Over Manchester United Loss

A 31-year-old football fan in Mbembesi, Matabeleland North Province was allegedly hacked to death with a machete by a fellow villager during a dispute over an English Premier Soccer League played last Saturday.

Vukile Nkomo was reportedly murdered after he attempted to stop an argument between his killer and his brother, Mkhululi Nkomo, over Manchester United’s performance that resulted in a 4-0 loss to Brentford.

The incident occurred in rural Mbembesi Village on 13 August after Manchester United’s loss, at around 10 PM.

The accused, Sthembelani Tshuma, who is facing a murder charge is on the run. He is wanted by the police for questioning over the incident.

The informant, a 35-year-old cousin of the deceased reported the assault to Mbembesi Police Station.

After the match, a misunderstanding arose between the accused and Mkhululi over the outcome of the match.

Vukile and his cousin intervened so as to calm the tension between the two.

This angered the accused who then rushed home to collect his machete.

Oh his way back, Tshuma used a footpath which he knew his rival often used on his way home.

It is alleged that along the way, the informant and the deceased encountered the accused person carrying the machete which he used to strike the deceased several times. He accused Vulike of siding with his brother, Mkhululi.

Plymouth Coach Speaks On Galloway Absence

Plymouth Argyle coach Steven Schumacher has explained Brendan Galloway’s absence in their 2-0 League One win against Peterborough United on Saturday.

The Zimbabwean defender was excluded from the matchday squad for the encounter, raising concerns the player might have picked another injury.

Three days earlier, Galloway had played in his first competitive match for the Pilgrims in more than eight months when he featured for over an hour in a Carabao Cup fixture.

He was out due to a knee injury suffered in November.

But according to Schumacher, the 26-year-old’s absence on weekend was not due to injury but a tactical decision.

The coach told The Plymouth Herald newspaper: “It was tough to pick the bench because young Jack was brilliant the other night – so was Brendan. I just felt we needed to cover all bases.

“If Bali Mumba had got tired in the heat – they have to cover some ground those wing-backs – and we were needing a goal it was probably best to have Jack on the bench, who might create a chance.

“And then I thought defensively if we didn’t need a goal we could have Nigel go in there and Macca (Gillesphey) could go to left wing-back, so that’s kind of what we chose.

“It was a tough decision. I explained it to Brendan and he was cool with it.”- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

The families of #Nyatsime16 have been subjected to inhuman and degrading treatment.
On the other hand their families and dependents have been left without them.

Children, siblings, mothers and dependents are desperate to see them free.

The Citizens Movement has been with them since day one.

We do so because SOLIDARITY is part of our values.

We cover each other’s back, we are one people.

Shoulder to shoulder until victory.

Job Sikhala, Godfrey Sithole and others are political prisoners and must be freed!

Thank eNCA’s Pindai Dube for covering the story of us the oppressed.

One day we shall be free.

Hotels Turn Away MPs Over Unpaid Bills

By A Correspondent- Hotels in Harare this week refused to provide accommodation to Members of Parliament when they wanted to check in ahead of Parliament sitting due to non-payment.

Legislators from out of Harare are usually booked into hotels when they come for Parliament sittings but Parliament has been delaying in settling the hotel bills owed to various hotels.

The issue was raised in the National Assembly by Makoni Central legislator David Tekeshe (MDC Alliance). He said:

Thank you, Madam Speaker. My point of privilege arises on the issue of accommodation for Members of

Parliament. We have been receiving calls from Members of Parliament who are being chased away from hotels – we are now sick and tired of this.

May there be an arrangement where people can be given sufficient funds to ensure that people are able to look after themselves?

In Uganda, Members are not provided accommodation, but they are given sufficient funds for them to look for their own accommodation.

If Parliament cannot provide us with accommodation, we must be given funds to look for accommodation.

It is embarrassing moving from one hotel to the other as Members of Parliament.

For the four years, I have been a Member of Parliament, this has been the most embarrassing year for me for failing to secure accommodation.

In Uganda, they are allocated 10 000 for accommodation and fuel and they are given their salaries so that they take care of themselves.

In her response, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Tsitsi Gezi said she had taken note of the issue. Gezi said:

Thank you Honourable Tekeshe, we have heard what you have said, it is demeaning indeed for an Honourable Member of Parliament to be turned away from a hotel where they will be expecting to get accommodation and where they are supposed to be respected as Honourable Members and moving from one hotel to the other does not give them a good image. I have taken note of that.

Marry Chiwenga Court Application Dismissed

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s ex wife, Marry Mubaiwa’s application to cancel her remand on a case she is being charged for money laundering, has been dismissed.

In a ruling, magistrate Stanford Mambanje said police investigations were now complete, and therefore there was no reason to remove the accused person on remand.

He further indicated that the accused was already out of custody.

The matter has been remanded to October 24 for trial continuation.

Mubaiwa’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa had previously filed an application before the courts, indicating that her client has been on remand for too long while investigations on her case were incomplete.

Mtetwa also noted that the investigating officer had said the State will not suffer any prejudice if Mubaiwa was removed from remand. She said continuously keeping her on remand would be vengeance.

The investigating officer in this matter is Victor Masimba. He had told the court that the State will not suffer any prejudice if Mubaiwa is removed from remand.

He suggested that her bail conditions must be relaxed.

Masimba also told the court that what was left pertaining to the investigations required a period of two weeks.

He had also told the court that they were also still waiting for a password of the documents that came from South Africa in order to conclude the investigations. –Newsday

Mnangagwa Granted Permission To Unmask Self

ZIMBABWEANS who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer have to wear face masks in public places, but must carry their vaccination cards at all times, Cabinet said yesterday.

Mnangagwa in a mask
Addressing a post-Cabinet briefing, Information minister Monica Mutsvangwa said the face mask requirement was removed as COVID-19 cases drop, and vaccination coverage increases.

“Noting the decrease in COVID-19 cases Cabinet resolved as follows: That those who have received three doses of the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended vaccines are exempted from mandatory wearing of face masks in outdoor public places, but should, however, wear face masks in indoor public places and on public transport,” she said.

“Those fully vaccinated should carry their vaccination cards all the time; that all provinces continue intensifying COVID-19 vaccination activities for the nation to achieve herd immunity; and that the country remains on high alert for other outbreaks such as measles, regional poliomyelitis and the global monkeypox.”

Since May 4, 2020, the wearing of masks was made mandatory as the country battled to control the spread of the pandemic.

Some of the restrictions such as curfew have been long relaxed, but face masks remained in force, with police arresting people not wearing them.

Zimbabwe began a COVID-19 vaccination exercise in February 2021 after the country received 200 000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine donated by China under the first phase of the programme.

Statistics show that an estimated 4,7 million people have been fully vaccinated against the pandemic against a targeted 10 million.

The country has recorded a total of 256 000 infections, and 5 588 COVID-19 related deaths.

In an unrelated matter, Cabinet said most of the 2 056 measles cases and 157 deaths were from people who were not vaccinated against the disease.

“The nation is being informed that following a report of the first case of measles in Mutasa district, Manicaland province, on August 10, 2022, the disease has now spread to other provinces. As of August 15, 2022, the cumulative figures from across the country had risen to 2 056 cases, and 157 deaths,” Mutsvangwa said.

CPJ Report On Banning Of Chamisa President Documentary

Zimbabwe’s censorship board bans Danish documentary about opposition leader.

Danish journalist Camilla Nielsson, pictured here in 2015, is the creator of the film “President,” which is banned Zimbabwean authorities. (AFP/Kena Betancur) …

Lusaka, August 16, 2022–Zimbabwean authorities must lift the ban on the documentary film “President” by Danish journalist Camilla Nielsson and not abuse censorship laws for political ends ahead of next year’s general election, the Committee to Protect Journalists said Tuesday.

The film, which follows opposition leader Nelson Chamisa on the 2018 presidential election campaign trail, was banned by Zimbabwe’s Censorship and Entertainment Control Unit, the country’s censorship board housed under the Ministry of Home Affairs, because it violated the country’s censorship laws, according to a June 16 letter from the unit’s deputy director Oscar Mugomeri to Nielsson’s lawyer, Chris Mhike. Under the ban, the film, which news reports said premiered in the United States August 8, cannot be shown anywhere in Zimbabwe.

The letter, which CPJ reviewed, said the film violated of Section 10 (2)(b) of the Censorship and Entertainments Control Act, because it was “likely to be contrary to public order” and “to incite violence” ahead of the 2023 national elections, according to news reports.

The documentary details alleged rigging, intimidation, fraud, and political violence on the part of the ruling ZANU-PF (Zimbabwe African National Union–Patriotic Front) party in the 2018 elections, according to news reports. A date for Zimbabwe’s 2023 elections has yet to be set.

“Zimbabwe’s censorship board’s decision to ban the documentary film ‘President’ seems to be less about stopping incitement to violence and more about ensuring that an opposition political leader does not get free publicity ahead of a crucial election,” said Angela Quintal, CPJ’s Africa program coordinator, in New York. “Authorities must immediately reverse this apparent knee-jerk decision and uphold the right to freedom of expression and the public’s right to know at a crucial time in the country’s history.”

Mhike told CPJ via messaging app that on July 26, he appealed the ban to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage and said he would bring his appeal to the Constitutional Court if all other avenues were exhausted.

Nielsson initially sought the censorship board’s approval on April 1 for the documentary to be aired in Zimbabwe and on April 25, in a letter to Mhike, reviewed by CPJ, Mugomeri stated that the film was not approved because some of the scenes violated Section 10 (2) of the censorship act.

In a June 2 letter, also reviewed by CPJ, Mhike asked the censorship board to cite specific portions of the film that allegedly violated the law, adding that not doing so would “be deemed unreasonable, unfair and therefore defective.”

In his reply on June 16, Mugomeri said the board had rejected the whole documentary in line with the same law. “The film has the potential to incite violence as the country is now preparing to go for elections in 2023,” Mugomeri’s letter stated.

CPJ called and texted Magomeri for comment but he did not pick up or respond.

Soccer Star Commits Suicide

Footballer Philip “Chandi” Chandisaita committed suicide on Sunday due to undisclosed domestic issues.

Chandisaita (38) who played in the Eastern Region Soccer League for Buffaloes FC as a defender, took his life after watching a Premier Soccer League match between Tenax and Dynamos at Vengere Stadium in Rusape.

According to Buffaloes coach Shepherd Nkata, Chandisaita headed to Headlands to his family home after the match but consumed an unknown poisonous substance along the way. Said Nkata:

Chandisaita was at Vengere stadium yesterday for the Tenax-Dembare game. After the match, he did not return to Mutare.

Instead, he said he was visiting his mother in Headlands. Along the way, he took poison. He then called his mother and told her to come and pick him up along the way.

When his mother arrived, he was already dead. I’m in pain. I did not expect this from him, but that’s what is there now.

It’s so sad. As Buffaloes FC, we were saddened by Chandisaita’s death.

Eastern Region Soccer League (ERSL) vice chairman, Wisdom Simba, expressed sorrow over Chandisaita’s untimely death. He said:

It’s true that we lost Chandisaita yesterday after an undisclosed domestic dispute.

As ERSL, we are saddened by the loss of the experienced defender. He was a disciplined player.

We also urge our players to learn to share with others their challenges. It helps a lot. Committing suicide is not the solution.

Kenya Election Commissioners Throw Ruto Under The Bus

By The Nation- Four IEBC commissioners, led by the vice-chair Juliana Cherera, have issued a second statement offering a comprehensive recap of their stance on the 2022 presidential election.

Speaking from the Serena Hotel, the four have claimed the electoral commission’s chair, Wafula Chebukati, overruled them and insisted on announcing the results despite concerns they raised.

They also claimed that the final tally of the presidential election results was not brought before the commission for processing.

Listing four reasons behind their decision to reject the results declared, the commissioners said that the aggregation of the results were not mathematically correct and that the results did not include totals of registered voters, votes cast or rejected votes.

The four include Juliana Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyang’aya.

Three Zimbos Gunned Down In SA

By-Three Zimbabwean nationals have been shot dead in South Africa.

On Sunday morning, the three’s bodies were found dead with gunshot wounds in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

Organised crime detectives who are investigating the deaths have called for anyone with information related to the shootings to contact their nearest police station.

Provincial police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said the detectives were probing the murders after police were called out to Sakhelwe Street, Mbekweni, Paarl at about 5 AM on Sunday. He said:

One body was lying inside the vehicle, another behind the same vehicle, and the third one inside a shack on the premises.

The ages of the deceased people are 30, 33 and 40. Their identities (names) will be released once their next of kin have been informed.

Community Safety MEC Reagen Allen expressed shock over rising mass murder cases in rural towns in the Western Cape. Said Allen:

Not so long ago, we were faced with a similar shooting in Tulbagh. Our rural towns are not known for these types of horrendous crimes, and it cannot become the norm. We dare not allow this lawlessness to take root and continue.

We need to flush out all aspects of criminality and take our communities back.

Ian Cameron, director of Community Safety of non-profit organisation Action Society, said:

If I look at these shootings and the time I spent in Mbekweni, I don’t find it (the fatalities) surprising.

I think Mbekweni has very serious violent criminals that reside there. We are actually involved in a few cases there but those are more gender-based violence related.

Kenya Election Commissioners Back Odinga, Reject Monday Presidential Results

By- Four Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)commissioners have rejected the results that endorsed William Ruto’s Presidential victory.

Ruto was on Monday declared the winner of the closely-fought presidential election.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati announced the disputed results.

Chebukati declared Kenya Kwanza’s candidate Ruto as president-elect and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua as the deputy president-elect, respectively.

Four commissioners held a surprise press conference at Serena Hotel, Nairobi on Monday afternoon and said they will not take ownership of the results.

The commissioners, including vice chair Juliana Cherera, commissioners Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyang’aya, claimed that the results were arrived at in an opaque manner, without giving further details.

Ruto is said to have garnered 7,176,141 votes, representing 50.59 per cent of valid votes cast, beating his rival Azimio la Umoja candidate Raila Odinga whom the IEBC said had 6,942,930 votes.

Said Chebukati:

Despite intimidation and harassment… I have done my duty in accordance with the constitution and the laws of the land.

The declaration has been made without results from four of 290 constituencies – Kacheliba, Kitui Rural, Pokot South and Rongai – whose voting was postponed.

Turnout was lower than in previous elections at around 65 per cent of Kenya’s 22 million registered voters.

The announcement ceremony was held at the national tallying centre at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi and was attended by diplomats and foreign election observers.

He also claimed that the chair was the only person who accessed the presidential tally and informed the commissioners without permitting any discussion of the results.

“The chair acted in disregard to the Constitution… Azimio rejects the presidential results announced by Mr Chebukati,” he said.

Mr Odinga also urged his supporters to maintain peace and calm as the coalition pursues constitutional avenues to invalidate the pronunciations by Mr Chebukati.

Cost Of Sending A Child To School Now Six Times The Average Household Income: Study

Harare, Zimbabwe, August 16, 2022 — WorldRemit today announced the results of its 2022 Cost of School study, observing how the changing macroeconomic environment has affected the true cost of education across 21 markets globally.

With the back-to-school season fast approaching, the study, first launched in August 2021, compares the average cost of basic educational needs with average annual incomes and fertility rates to determine the season’s financial impact on families around the world.

Year-over-year findings

Of the 10 countries examined in both 2021 and 2022, four are considered developed countries: United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Australia. The 2022 findings reveal the average household income decreased by 4%, fertility rates remained steady and the cost of basic school supplies increased by more than 7% on average.

Of the remaining six countries indexed (Nigeria, Philippines, Mexico, India, Tanzania and Uganda), household income decreased by an average of 4% and fertility rates remained steady. Meanwhile, the cost of school supplies ranged from a 57% increase year-over-year in India to a 40% decrease in the Philippines, while the average increase across the other countries hovered around 5%.

Across all 10 countries observed in both 2021 and 2022 studies, the dramatic increase of specific school items illustrates how inflation is hitting home on schooling costs and impacting families across the world, depending on how many items they needed to buy for this upcoming year.

In the UK, the cost of a backpack more than doubled the amount, from $8.98 in 2021 to $19.03 USD in 2022

In Australia, the cost of a jumper increased by 266%, from $9.86 to $26.28 USD

In the Philippines, where families can expect to save overall, the cost of a single pencil increased by 33% year-over-year

In Mexico, families can expect to spend 10% more for school supplies this year, with significant increases observed in the cost of a water bottle (+264%), gym shoes (+200%) and pencil sharpeners (+29%)

In Nigeria, families can expect to pay 9% more in school supplies, with the item boasting the greatest percentage increase being a 30cm ruler (+30%)

2022 study: findings of the 11 additional countries observed

To advance this annual study, WorldRemit observed eleven new countries, looking at the standard school supply costs. Of these, Zimbabwe showed the highest costs relative to average family size and monthly income at nearly 700% of the average family household income. Other countries, including Morocco, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya and Guatemala all can expect to pay more than 100% of their monthly household income on school supplies this season.

In Zimbabwe, costs to send a family’s house of children to school this year will cost more than 6 times more than the average household’s income.

In Lebanon, apparel will take up the largest portion of school budget this year, with polo shirts for a family costing more than 20% of the family’s average monthly income.

In Cameroon, costs for sending a household of children to school this year will cost families nearly 4 times their monthly income.

In Ghana, basic shoes for school-bound children mark the highest expense, accounting for nearly 25% of all costs this year.

In Kenya, families will pay more than 1.75 times their household monthly income on school supplies.

In France, sending a household of children to school will cost families more than 14% of their monthly income.

In Spain, sending a household of children to school will cost families nearly 13% of their monthly income.

WorldRemit recently connected with 3,000 international money senders to learn how inflation is impacting their daily behaviours and spending habits. The group listed educational support as one of the three primary reasons they send money overseas, but noted that as a result of the rising living costs, 52% now send money abroad to fewer people, with 72% now only sending to close family.

More than 244 million people are classified as immigrants around the world and account for large percentages of populations in countries like the United States (14.4% of total population), UK (9%) Australia (30%) and Canada (21.5%).

For the nearly 250 million people who live in different countries than their families, understanding the true cost of education is often top of mind. As such, planning for a child’s return to school can take months of financial planning for those working overseas to support family in their home country.

Nakamba Out Of Action As Villa Post Crucial Win

Several Zimbabwean players in Europe missed action over the weekend.

In the English Premier League, Marvelous Nakamba was again omitted from the Aston Villa matchday squad after missing Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Everton.

The 28-year-old is yet to play this season after being dropped in both opening games.

According to reports, Nakamba is among the four players that could leave the club in the current window, and the Villa are prepared to listen to offers from elsewhere.

Jordan Zemura also missed the action on over the weekend but to illness.

The 22-year-old, who made his EPL debut on matchday 1, tested positive for COVID-19 on the eve of their Saturday’s 4-0 thrashing at Manchester City.

Luton Town striker is still waiting for his Championship season debut after failing to make it into the matchday squad again.

The forward was not selected for Luton’s 1-0 league loss versus Preston North End just days after he featured in a cup game midweek.

Plymouth Argyle defender Brendan Galloway was also out of action, though for the coach’s tactical reasons.

Three days earlier, Galloway had played his first competitive match for the Pilgrims in more than eight months when he started in a 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat by Peterborough.

Tino Kadewere’s Lyon didn’t play after their Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash versus Lorient was postponed owing to an unsafe pitch.

In the USA, Teenage Hadebe was unavailable for Houston Dash’s 3-2 home loss against Montreal.

The Warriors defender picked up a knock a few weeks ago and has, so far, missed three straight games.

Elsewhere, Tendayi Darikwa captained Wigan Athletic in the game against Bristol City.

The right-back started in the first XI and played until the 77th-minute mark. His team, however, remains without a win after registering a 1-1 draw against Bristol.

QPR forward Macauley Bonne came in as a late substitute as QPR drew 2-2 at Sunderland.

Bonne hasn’t gotten significant minutes on the pitch this season as he has only featured as a late substitute.

Doncaster Rovers’ Tavonga Kuleya had another run after making his league debut last week.

Kuleya played for thirteen minutes in the 2-2 draw against Wimbledon in League 2.

Marshall Munetsi started in the Stade de Reims’ first XI as they lost 4-1 to Clermont Foot in the French Ligue 1. He featured for the entire game, his second successive starting appearance of the season.- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Adolescents And Mental Health

SA Ups Border Security

By A Correspondent- South Africa’s Minister of Home Affairs Aaron Motsoaledi today unveiled 200 border guards in a bid to enhance border security at the Beitbridge border post.

South Africa is expected to unveil more border guards at other border posts in the neighbouring country.

During the unveiling of the border guards at Beitbridge, other arms of SA’s government showed disinterest amid claims that Motsoaledi is bringing in an ulterior African Nation Congress (ANC) force into mainstream public administration.

As  Motsoaledi set the border guards into action, across the road the South African Revenue Services (SARS) officials picketed as they continued their strike against the SA government.

The newly-recruited members of the Border Guard whose selection has also raised eyebrows in Musina.

“We were just told to apply but were never responded to. They brought their own people from other areas,” Virginia Mbedzi of Musina said.

President Chamisa also scoffed at Zanu-PF party claims that he was behind sensational allegations by Australia-based Zimbabwean Susani Mutami who claimed to have been raped as a minor by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“Mvura ikasanaya ndiChamisa, uya musikana weku Australia (Susan Mutami) hameno zvaaitaura achiti ndakanzwai nanhingi, ndikanzwa zvonzi ndiChamisa, ini ndodongorera muchiita zvinhu zvenyu ndaivapo ini? Prophetess Dumps Hubby Of 16yrs For Politician

By A Correspondent- A Checheche Growth Point-based prophetess, Lindiwe Mkwananzi of Later Glory Church is locked in a messy divorce with her husband of 16 years, Mr Jacob Lunga.

Prophetess Mkwananzi (39) who commands a huge following at Checheche Growth Point in Chipinge South has filed for divorce at the Masvingo High Court, intending to void her marriage with the father of her three children and Chiredzi-based artist, Mr Jacob Lunga.

The two were legally married in terms of the Marriage Act, Chapter 5:11 in 2006 and the marriage still subsists.

According to the papers of declaration which were filed by Prophetess Mkwananzi at the High Court, she said she wanted to cancel the marriage because there is no hope of resuscitating it.

“The marriage has irretrievably broken down to an unsalvageable point. There are no reasonable prospects of resuscitating a normal and working marriage.

“There is no longer love and affection between us, and we have not shared conjugal rights since December 2018,” said Prophetess Mkwananzi.

However, Mr Lunga is refusing to sign the divorce papers, arguing that his estranged wife submitted fake copies to him in order to fast-track her marriage with former Chipinge and Chimanimani Senator, Tobias Matanga.

Mr Lunga accused Mr Matanga of wrecking his marriage of years.

He said Prophetess Mkwananzi’s marriage to Mr Matanga was stopped after the former senator learnt that his (Lunga’s marriage to Prophetess Mkananzi) was still subsistent.

“My wife is having an affair with Mr Matanga and they have been dating for years. I learnt of their relationship from my colleagues from Checheche when I left for Chiredzi.

“My wife as a prophetess used to meet Mr Matanga privately for healing sessions since she was praying for him for an undisclosed ailment. As the church, we decided that she could not pray for him publicly since he is a respected man in the society.

“That is when the relationship started and I have not enjoyed peace up to this day,” said Mr Lunga.

In a telephone interview on Tuesday, Prophetess Mkwananzi refuted all the allegations levelled against her by Mr Lunga.

She said her husband was abusive and was sick and tired of the abuses, hence the divorce.

“My husband is very abusive and that is why I am filing for a divorce. I don’t know why he is stalking me since he is the one who moved out of our matrimonial home. He is already married and should let me enjoy my freedom.

“He is lying that I am dating my clients. As a church leader, I mix with a lot of men and he confronts every man I assist.

“I am not dating anyone since I am still being bonded by our wedding. Once I finish the divorce process, I can’t stop dating and marrying someone else,” she said.

Contacted for comment, Mr Matanga denied ever ruining the prophetess’ marriage.

“Lunga is a funny man. He calls me several times alleging that I am having an affair with his wife. I never dated his wife. I used to visit Prophetess Mkwananzi for healing purposes only. He only wants to tarnish my image. I challenge him to come to my farm where I am staying and see if I am staying with his wife,” said Mr Matanga.

Chitungwiza Municipality Demolishes Illegal Structures

By A Correspondent- Chitungwiza Town Council yesterday demolished selected illegal structures in St Mary’s.

The demolished structures were reported to have been approved illegally by some Council officials.

A bulldozer pulled down structures at Huruyadzo Shopping Centre and went on to remove foundations of some housing structures along Chitungwiza Road in St Mary’s.

In an interview, Chitungwiza Acting Housing Director, Tendai Chinganga, said the local authority was on a 30-day operation that will see more demolitions of illegal structures.

We have been trying to trace origins of fake documents, within the Council offices, which allowed these people to construct structures on undesignated areas,” said Chinganga. We cannot rule out that there are some officials who parcelled such land without proper procedures.

“We have people who decided to defy enforcement orders by the town planners, and what we have witnessed here is a process that is going to cut across Chitungwiza, for the next 30 days, in order to restore sanity.

“We are encouraging Chitungwiza residents to respect Council by-laws, to respect the laws of the land. If they want to construct any structure, they should first get the approval before they do anything,” said Chinganga.

Some of the demolished structures were close to the road while some residential stands were on wetlands and closing places marked for roads.

ZRP “Cornered” Over President Chamisa Death Threats

By A Correspondent- ZANU PF has been described as a “criminal gang” after a ruling party member threatened opposition leader Nelson Chamisa and his family with death.

The police were evasive yesterday when contacted over whether investigations have been opened yet following the threat.

Zanu PF member Abton Mashayanyika, who is a Habbakuk Apostolic Faith Mission bishop in Mberengwa, Midlands province, recently made the threats against Chamisa while addressing a rally at Rampopo hills under Chief Mapiravana in Mberengwa North.

In the video which has gone viral on social media, Mashayanyika said: “When we said down with (the late former Zimbabwe-Rhodesia Prime Minister Abel) Muzorewa, we meant he should die, when we say down with a witch, we mean they should die. When we say down-down with Chamisa, we mean he should be killed. Do you all understand the meaning? Down with CCC [Citizens Coalition of Change], down with Chamisa and his children.”

The chant is an age-old rallying call from Zimbabwe’s 1970s war of liberation which largely called for the death of the then common enemy, the late Rhodesian leader Ian Smith.

After independence in 1980, the Zanu PF party adopted the chant against all those who opposed its rule.

Police yesterday were evasive when asked whether there have been any investigations into Mashayanyika’s utterances.

Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the matter was being investigated at local level, and referred questions to Masvingo provincial spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dewa.

Dewa, however, referred questions to Midlands provincial spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, who said: “If he said the matter was being investigated at the local level, what more can I say? Further details will be released in due course.”

Zanu PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa refused to comment on the matter, while party information director Tafadzwa Mugwadi did not respond to questions sent to him.

The opposition CCC said the police inaction against threats to the life of their party leader confirmed their fears over selective application of the law.

This came as CCC legislators Job Sikhala (Zengeza West) and Godfrey Sithole (Chitungwiza North) are fighting for their freedom at the courts following their incarceration on June 14 on charges of inciting violence.

CCC said it was not taking the threats against Chamisa lightly after he survived two assassination attempts during his meet-the-people tours last year when gunshots were reportedly fired at his convoy.

CCC acting spokesperson Gift Siziba said: “We do not take this lightly chiefly because there have been numerous attempts on the life of president Chamisa. It is to this end that we call for our able police service to move with speed and detain Mashayanyika and charge him and his accomplices with death threats and calling for violence.”

Lawyer Alec Muchadehama said Mashayanyika should be charged for inciting public violence.

He has gone beyond the bounds of freedom of expression. The Constitution guarantees the freedom of expression, but this is not the kind of freedom the Constitution entails. What he is saying is completely unjustified,” Muchadehama said.

“But that he has not been arrested or the police not issuing a statement shows how the police in Zimbabwe selectively apply the law by only targeting people who are perceived to be anti-Zanu PF. To that extent, it gives weight to allegations that the police act in a partisan manner.”

Said Effie Ncube, a political analyst: “The threats by this fellow are sadly consistent with the long-standing position of Zanu PF in which it has sought to retain power by all foul means.

“If you look at its record of murders, abductions, enforced disappearances and corruption on a grand scale, it has surpassed all regimes since colonial rule. Nothing like it has ever been seen. It has crossed all the lines in terms of being repugnant and brazenly criminal.”

Renowned United States-born applied economics professor and currency reformer Steve Hanke said the ruling party was synonymous with a criminal organisation.

He made the remarks in an interview on CNBC Africa about Zimbabwe’s current economic woes and possible solutions on Wednesday.

“Now we have a new President (Emmerson Mnangagwa), but, in fact, the same kind of regime, we have a Minister of Finance (Mthuli Ncube) who has been there since 2018 and it’s the same old story. We have got the governor of the Reserve Bank (of Zimbabwe, John Mangudya), who’s been there since 2014. That’s the same old story and we have got Zanu PF, a political party in power, but you have to remember Zanu PF has more in common with a criminal organisation than a political party, so that’s where we are at,” Hanke said.

“You have got criminals running the country. There are absolutely no preconditions to install a successful currency board, there have been over 70 of them. They have all been installed in the middle of the crisis in most cases.”

Political lecturer and analyst Eldred Masunungure said Hanke’s assertion was spot on.

“This is a party in government, deeply corrupt and has all sorts of predatory conduct, both in politics and the economic issues of the country; but it remains a political party. It’s an ugly animal, yes,” he said.

Kenya Elections Officer Murdered

By- The body of the missing Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) official Daniel Mbolu Musyoka has been found in Kajiado.

IEBC is the body that runs elections in Kenya.

On Monday evening, police officers from Loitoktok, Kajiado South sub-county were alerted over the presence of the body of a middle-aged man in a forest.

Loitok tok police boss Kipruto Ruto said that Musyoka’s body was positively identified by his sisters Mary Mwikali and Ann Mboya at Loitokitok sub-county mortuary. Said Ruto:

His two sisters identified the body lying at Loitoktok sub-county hospital last night.

We are waiting for communication from police headquarters either to ferry the body to the city mortuary or to remain here.

Musyoka (53) was serving as returning officer at Embakasi East polling station in Nairobi county.

According to Ruto, the middle-aged male body was discovered early on Monday in Kilombero forest, at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro by herders in the valley of a dry seasonal river.

Ruto said the body was naked, though the man’s clothes — a tracksuit and a Maasai shuka — were found at the edge of the valley.

There were visible signs of struggle and torture on the victim’s body. Added Ruto:

It is evident that the victim was killed elsewhere and the body dumped in the valley.

The body has scars indicating torture before the death. He possibly died a painful death.

Musyoka disappeared on Wednesday, 10 August 2022 moments before announcing the results for the parliamentary and county assembly races at the East Africa School of Aviation tallying centre.

Those who interacted with him reportedly said he excused himself to answer a phone call before he went missing. His deputy took over and announced the results.

Mnangagwa Rushes To Endorse Ruto

By- President Emerson Mnangagwa has congratulated the discredited Kanya’s President-elect, Willam Ruto, a few minutes after the announcement of the results.

Mnangagwa sent his congratulatory message to Ruto via Twitter Monday evening.

“Congratulations to

@WilliamsRuto

on his election as the next President of Kenya. I have no doubt he will serve his country, his people and our continent with distinction,” Tweeted Mnangagwa.

Ruto was on Monday declared the winner of the closely-fought presidential election by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.

Chebukati declared Kenya Kwanza’s candidate Ruto as president-elect and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua as the deputy president-elect, respectively.

Four commissioners with IEBC immediately held a surprise press conference at Serena Hotel, Nairobi and said they will not take ownership of the results.

The commissioners, including vice chair Juliana Cherera, commissioners Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyang’aya, claimed that the results were arrived at in an opaque manner, without giving further details.

Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes, representing 50.59 per cent of valid votes cast, beating his rival Azimio la Umoja candidate Raila Odinga whom the IEBC said had 6,942,930 votes.

Zim Soccer Star Commits Suicide

Man Rapes, Robs Worshippers

An unknown man armed with a sword pounced on five people who were conducting prayers on Mount Maru in Domboshava and robbed them of cash before raping one of them.

Police in Mashonaland East Province have since launched a manhunt for the suspect.

Reports indicate that worshippers included three students from Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT).

As they were praying on top of the mountain around 10 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022, the suspect pounced on them.

It is further alleged that before raping one of the worshippers, the suspect had threatened to kill them all with his sword if they resisted his demands.

He also ordered two of them to undress and have sexual intercourse in front of their colleagues but they refused to comply.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson in Mashonaland East Province Inspector Simon Chazovachiyi confirmed the incident.

He urged members of the public to always be security conscious whenever conducting activities in secluded places, especially during the night.- The Herald

Sundowns Thrash Rivals Kaizer Chiefs

Zimbabwean winger Khama Billiat missed a second half penalty in Mamelodi Sundowns’ 4-0 demolition of Kaizer Chiefs in a DStv Premiership match played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium today.

The 31-year old has only scored one goal against his former paymaster and got the perfect opportunity to better that record when Chiefs were awarded a penalty in the 55th minute after Kgaogelo Sekgota was brought down in the box.

Billiat stepped up but Masandawana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams dived to his right to brilliantly deny the Zimbabwean.

Sundowns got their goals through Gastin Sirino, a brace from Peter Shalulile and Ethiopian hotshot Abubeker Nassir.-Soccer 24 Zimbabwe

Adolescents And HIV

Mthwakazi Says Mnangagwa Mad

Tinashe Sambiri|
The leader of Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) Mqondisi Moyo, has described Constantino Chiwenga as a crazy person.

This follows Chiwenga’s claim that his great grandmother was one of King Mzilikazi’s many wives.

Chiwenga further claimed that Mnangagwa’s grandfather, Mubengu, was taken when he was a little boy by Mzilikazi and was kept at the royal kraal until he was put in the Mbizo regiment.

The Mthwakazi leader, quoted by NewZimbabwe.com, dismissed Chiwenga’s remarks:

“The spirits of over 40,000 people they
massacred during Gukurahundi now making them go insane.

Why would both Chiwenga and Mnangagwa, as the nephews of Mthwakazi, kill their uncles?

Both of them Mnangagwa and Chiwenga), as the murderers of our people, are shedding crocodile tears on our people.

They are making Mthwakazi their playing ground. Why is it every time they say these sentiments when they are in Mthwakazi?

They can’t utter such nonsense in Mashonaland because they never perpetrated the Genocide that side.”
