By- MDC vice president Elias Mudzuri has regretted being part of the Douglas Mwonzora-led political party.
Mudzuri regretted the recent controversial endorsement of Mwonzora’s sole MDC Presidential candidate in the party congress due this month.
He said he would not contest for any post at the upcoming congress, citing irregularities in the party’s electoral processes.
In a leaked WhatsApp conversation, Mudzuri said he does not agree with the whole process and will only change his stance if the process becomes transparent and democratic. He said: Thank you to all members of the MDC family who have expressed their wish that I stand for re-election as second Vice President of the party at the coming 5th congress. Please take note that I will not submit myself for that election for any position. I will however remain a committed card-carrying member of the party. I am not in agreement with the process so I stand conflicted to vie for any position until and unless the process becomes transparent and democratic including knowledge of the colligate from ward to province. Contacted for comment to Tell Zim News, Mudzuri confirmed the development. He said: I cannot be nominated by the elite members of the party, nominations should start at the grassroots level. We are 22 years as a party and that is what we have been doing all along. I cannot be nominated by my friends, that is not what we do as a party. He said will not leave the party but will remain a card-carrying and loyal member of the party. Said Mudzuri: I am ashamed of what is happening right now but I cannot run away from the party, I have talked to them and I will continue to talk to them but if they don’t listen, I will remain a card-carrying member as I cannot be part of the leadership which fails to observe the democratic tenets of the party. I can be nominated for any position in the party and have at some point assumed the leadership of the party as you know when Mr (Morgan) Tsvangirai died, he left me in charge of the party.
By- The US$40 000 loans extended to MPS by the Zanu PF government have divided the Nelson Chamisa-led opposition CCC.
Chamisa last week said that his MPS, who received the “bribes”, had joined corruption.
He said the money was a bribe from the Zanu PF-led government and should be rejected. But his MPs, whose majority got the money, said they would not return it.
CCC Chief Whip in Parliament Prosper Mutseyami defended the party’s MPs, saying the loans are a “genuine part of the MPs’ welfare.” He said: The suggestion in some quarters that loans are donations is not correct. In the midterm supplementary budget of September 2022 approved, provision was made for a housing or vehicle loan of US$40 000. This loan was understood as a genuine part of the MPs’ welfare. The loan is therefore not a surprise executive instrument but one that went through the due process of appropriation as is provided in the constitution. It is not a discretionary issue or an executive gratuitous gesture like the grants granted to ministers and deputy ministers. In October of 2022, MPs were made to sign binding loan application forms which they executed. In late November, parliament made partial disbursements of these loans. The loan in question is above board. Mutseyami, who is the MP for Dangamvura, said it was unfair to compare CCC legislators with those of ZANU PF simply because they accepted the loans. He said: The loan in question is no excuse for state failure or the deplorable state of public services. It is no excuse for 42 years of mismanagement and misallocation of public resources. And most certainly the loan cannot bribe or derail our cause. We therefore reject the equalisation. We are not Zanu, have never been Zanu. We have remained principled and committed. We have remained unwavering in our quest for transformation and change in our country We have faced dictatorship and its billions of dollars weaponised against our people. Mutseyami also claimed that MPs are currently earning ZWL$$200 000 “which is equivalent to US$200.” He added: The new salary remains way below the poverty datum line by a long margin. It also remains way below the average regional salary of MPs which is US$2 000 even in economies smaller than Zimbabwe or countries such as Kenya and others where MPs are paid around US$13,000 a month. This is in addition to the provision of constituency offices, and paid research assistance. | ZimLive
By- Members of parliament from the opposition CCC have defied their leader, Nelson Chamisa, and denied claims that the government’s US$40 000 loans granted to lawmakers were not donations.
CCC MPs have received a lot of criticism, especially on social media platforms, for taking the loans. Critics accuse the opposition MPs of joining the “gravy train” saying they are no longer serving the interests of the electorate but their selfish interests. Even CCC president Nelson Chamisa has criticised his MPs for accepting the loans and warned them that they will be punished by voters. Tinashe Sambiri|There was a heated argument between CCC MP for Kuwadzana Hon Johnson Matambo and controversial Norton legislator Temba Mliswa in Parliament on Tuesday.
This was after the Norton MP had attempted to attack CCC leader President Nelson Chamisa accusing him of “clinging to vehicles he obtained during the GNU era.”
Mliswa claimed President Chamisa was interfering with Parliamentary affairs ( regarding the 40 000 USD loan facility.)
Proceedings came to a standstill as Hon Matambo and Mliswa clashed over the matter.
Hon Matambo then exposed Mliswa’s corrupt shenanigans including land scams and cattle scandals.
“You don’t have the right to attack someone in his absence. We know what you did, you were involved in land scams and cattle scandals.
You don’t have the moral obligation to denounce President Chamisa in his absence,” Hon Matambo told Mliswa.
The controversial Mliswa was reduced to size as the CCC MP exposed the former’s chequered political career.

Portugal coach Fernando Santos has revealed why he started Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench in their World Cup last 16 tie with Switzerland.
The 37-year-old was replaced by the inexperienced Goncalo Ramos who netted a hat-trick in the 6-1 victory against the Swiss side.
There were reports suggesting the first XI snub was a result of the player’s petulant response to being substituted in the previous game, a group stage match against South Korea.
Santos was not impressed by the incident and criticised the player for his behavior.
But the gaffer has revealed that the reason to bench his captain had nothing to do with the incident, rather a tactical change.
“Cristiano and Ramos are different players. There is no problem with the captain of the national team,” Santos said after the game.
“It was strategic. Players are different. I also started [Diogo] Dalot, Raphael [Guerreiro], however [Joao] Cancelo is a fabulous player. That’s what I thought for the game against Switzerland, in another game it might be different.”
Santos was pushed for a more-detailed explanation behind his decision, replying: “Didn’t I already answer this question? There is no problem between Fernando Santos and the captain of the national team. We’ve been friends for many years and things don’t affect us. Coaches make decisions. I already explained, that part was completely resolved and he set an example of a great captain.”- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Tinashe Sambiri|Former Zanu PF stalwart Walter Mzembi has revealed how Zanu PF uses State institutions to maintain a firm grip on power.
According to Mzembi, Zanu PF is a “complex” political party.
“Zanu PF is a complex political party whose existence is not voluntary but permanent from cell to Presidency . Its Members are somehow ” salaried ” empowered ” & ” full-time ” & do politics for a living, volunteers will struggle to take it out,” said Mzembi.
Former Zimbabwe Mirror editor, Innocent Chofamba- Sithole, believes Zanu PF cannot in any way transform the country’s economy.
He argued: “ZanuPF has struggled since the late 90s, even before opposition formation, or any form of sanctions were introduced, to turn round the economy.
They’ve mobilised massive resources & State institutions to retain power at every election.
But nothing ever changes.
The post-nationalist political movement in Zimbabwe has always coalesced around a charismatic leader who’s clearly in tune with popular aspirations. Morgan Tsvangirai was that man in the previous phase of this struggle. In this generation, it’s @nelsonchamisa, without question.”
The government has put measures in place to ensure that there is continued power generation at various power stations across the country.
This was said by the secretary for Energy and Power Development Gloria Magombo while speaking to the media after Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting. She said:
Various measures were reported to Cabinet which have been put in place to ensure that there is a continued power generation and supply demand-gap which has increased due to the loss of the 300MW.
One of the first strategies is to ensure that the current units which are generating in Hwange, continue to be maintained and optimised to ensure that they produce an average of 400MW to ensure energy supply security.
Over and above in the long term, over US$400 million was secured to improve capacity in Bulawayo and Hwange.
At Hwange power station, the life-extension project has started with Unit 5 which has been out due to challenges with its turbines earlier this year.
We have also been ramping up production for the small thermals in Bulawayo, Harare and Munyati to push them to 45MW.
Coal supplies are currently being expedited and there is a train with over 30 wagons to power stations to ensure that there is more production.
Zimbabwe is currently experiencing an electricity crisis caused by frequent breakdowns at Hwange Thermal Power Station and water shortages in Lake Kariba which supplies water for the Kariba Hydropower station.
Meanwhile, Magombo said the new 300MW Hwange Unit 7 is expected to be synchronised to the system by end of this month.
She said:
Unit 8 is also being developed in parallel and we expect that it will be commissioned during the first quarter of 2023. She said an additional coal plant at Hwange going through maintenance should be running soon, thus adding an additional 15 MW to the national grid. According to the Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) website, Zimbabwe was generating 494MW on Tuesday, 6 December 2022, against a peak demand of 2 200MW.
By A Correspondent- A 40 year old Chinhoyi man has been jailed 15 years for raping young sister to his brother’s wife out of lust.
Luckson Petros of Village 20, Chikuti, pleaded not guilty to rape when he appeared Monday before Regional Magistrate, Ignatius Mugova, who convicted him of the crime following full trial.
The presiding magistrate slapped Petros to 15 years imprisonment, before conditionally suspending three years.
This means he will spend an effective 12 years behind bars.
The State case, led by prosecutor Nyasha Sibesha, was that on April 19 last year at around 6pm, the 29-year-old complainant was walking home alone from White House Shops, Chikuti, situated in Chinhoyi Rural.
Court heard Petros, who was heading towards the same direction, caught up with the complainant and proposed love, to which she declined.
Prosecutors proved Petros grabbed his victim from behind while choking her by the neck, and force-marched her to a nearby bush.
He stripped naked the helpless woman before raping her.
While committing the heinous act, Petros heard voices of approaching persons and fled the scene.
Victim later reported the matter to Murereka Police Station, leading to Petros’ arrest.
By A Correspondent- The Zanu PF party last week sent a team to Murewa, Hwedza, and Mutoko districts to investigate allegations of rigging during the central committee (CC) elections held a few months ago.
This came after party members in several districts petitioned their leaders, citing alleged irregularities during the elections.
The team, which was dispatched from the Zanu PF headquarters in Harare, reportedly interviewed disgruntled members and district coordinating committee officials over the rigging claims.
A top provincial member who refused to be named confirmed the visit by the probe team to NewsDay.
Said the official:
The probe team was in the province recently investigating or probing CC election rigging claims in some districts. They visited Hwedza, Mutoko and Murewa.
These are the districts that had disgruntlement over how the CC elections were run.
One of the probe team members was Miriam Chikukwa who led the investigations in Hwedza.
According to a petition signed by party officials from Hwedza district, candidates for the CC elections were barred from witnessing vote counting.
The district also raised vote-buying allegations, among others.
Zanu PF provincial spokesperson Tatenda Mavetera said she would respond after consulting her superiors on the issue.
Zanu PF officials in Hwedza, Mutoko and Murewa districts confirmed the visit by the probe team.

As we head towards the end of the year, many of us will soon be surrounded by our family and friends sitting around dinner tables as we celebrate the festive season. Looking around the table and reflecting on the fact that, on average, every third woman you see will have experienced sexual or physical abuse at some point in their lives.
This violence is not a remote act happening in other people’s homes, it lives all around an uninvited guest at the table. It thrives on secrecy, infiltrating homes, communities and workplaces. Yet we are nowhere near an appropriate global response that addresses the scale of this problem. If we are serious about tackling this issue, we cannot continue down the same path, or we will rob ourselves and women around the world of the future and life they deserve.
Violence against women and girls is not only one of the most pervasive human rights violations, but it also has significant economic costs. And this is proven, the global economy loses $1.5 trillion every year due to the consequences of violence against women, ranging from money spent in hospitals or on law enforcement through to the income lost when victims miss work.
Experience shows us that these alarming figures tend to rise during crises. We recently witnessed an up to 300 per cent increase in domestic violence during the pandemic. Encouragingly, many governments and organisations took robust measures to stem the rising tide of violence. But as the pandemic recedes, the attention towards ending violence is fading with it. We are sleepwalking back into our old ways and failed practices, which the pandemic has demonstrated as ineffective, exposing too many women to men’s violence.
We know violence can be prevented. Studies show that investing in preventive solutions generates multiple returns, yet the continuing economic cost of violence demonstrates that most of our resources go towards intervening after the abuse has happened rather than preventing it from occurring in the first place. This is a much more costly approach, particularly at a time when global growth is slowing sharply, which is escalating poverty and hurting public spending on social services. If we resort to business as usual, the cascading effects will expose more women to violence while shrinking revenues will hinder the capacity of social services to adequately support victims.
This week, as we observe the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence campaign, we have an opportunity to commit to a fundamental shift, one that puts the prevention of violence and the inequalities that enable it, at the core of our collective efforts. Doing so is both a moral imperative and smart economics. Countries could use the resources saved through prevention to invest in achieving greater gender equality and make a bold step forward to achieving their commitments under the Sustainable Development Goals.
In the Commonwealth, we are working with our 56 member countries to accelerate efforts towards addressing violence against women and girls with a focus on prevention. In particular, we developed a pioneering tool that makes a strong economic case for addressing violence by measuring how a country loses when it does not act to prevent it. The tool helps countries measure the full extent of the issue, analyse the data and provide cost-effective solutions to improve the overall response to ending violence.
Recently our work in Seychelles revealed for the first time that the country loses 4.6 per cent of its gross domestic product to violence against women and girls. It further outlined system-wide responses to tackle violence, including through policies to safeguard victims, improve women’s financial independence and promote non-judgemental frontline services. We have since been supporting Seychelles in implementing multi-agency measures, including a new domestic violence act, designed to prevent and respond to violence.
While violence in itself is enough reason to act, knowing the accompanying economic cost offers a powerful argument to propel governments, businesses and individuals into further action. It demonstrates that when an act of violence occurs, we all lose, and emphasises that ending it is in everyone’s interest. We urge countries to consider measuring the economic cost of violence as an annual exercise to evaluate the efficacy of their action and build on the findings to strengthen their response towards eliminating this violation.
We also need to remember that this is men’s violence, and we need to involve them in the prevention and intervention efforts as active allies. In this regard, we are complementing our policy response with steadfast advocacy. Armed with an array of easy-to-use advocacy resources, our Commonwealth Says NO MORE campaign takes a culturally sensitive, bottom-up approach towards engaging individuals, communities and businesses in raising awareness against gender-based violence, involving grassroots leaders to counter harmful social norms and training bystanders to effectively intervene.
Therefore, any intervention will be in vain if it is not backed up by decisive action from everyone, starting from making our homes safe, to our communities, to our workplaces and to our countries. Now is not a time to sideline this issue. Now, more than ever, is a time for a smart, targeted global response to violence against women and girls that puts out the wildfire of violence and sows the seeds of lasting peace for all. And if not now, when?

By A Correspondent- Four people, including two 13-year-old girls died on the spot and several others seriously injured when a minibus veered off the road and hit a tree near Lion and Elephant Motel in Mwenezi along the Beitbridge – Masvingo road.
All the victims were from the same family and were travelling to South Africa for the festive holidays. Some survivors have been admitted the Beitbridge District Hospital while others were treated and discharged.
“I had just finished pulling a blanket over them when I heard a loud bang and felt my head was wet when I realized we had been involved in a crash. My daughter who is 13 and her cousin were confirmed dead,” Joyce Chayichayi, who survived the accident.
She said one of the deceased girls was her daughter.
“I am not sure if the driver is alive, he was just still on the steering but my cousin, a young adult and another child also died. I was injured on the head, back and legs are painful,” said Chayichayi who had travelled from the neighbouring country to escort the children.
The officer commanding Beitbridge, chief superintendent Tichaona Nyongo said the accident, though closer to Beitbridge, had occurred in another district.
By A Correspondent- A 50 year old Zimbabwean ‘priest’, who used his position of trust to lure women to secluded spots where he raped them and then tied them to a tree, has been removed from society.
The North West High Court sentenced Lucas Chauke to two life terms for murder and rape.
NPA provincial spokesperson Henry Mamothame said Chauke was also jailed for another 30 years on two other counts of murder and rape.
He said the accused was verified as a Zimbabwean national, who was illegally living in South Africa.
Between 2017 and 2018, Chauke, a known priest, preyed on three victims.
In the first incident in 2017, Chauke took a 53-year-old woman to a secluded place near a dam, on the pretence of assisting her with her spirituality.
“When they arrived at the place, Chauke repeatedly raped the woman and then tied her to a tree before fleeing,” he said.
Mamothame said the victim managed to untie herself and ran for help. Chauke received a life sentence for this incident.
In the second incident, on May 10, 2018, Chauke took a 55-year-old woman to the same secluded place and raped her.
He then fled the scene.
“However, the woman was unable to free herself and her decomposed body was later discovered still tied to the tree.
“He was sentenced to life for murder and a further 15 years for rape,” said Mamothame.
That same year, on August 3, 2018, Chauke took a 55-year-old woman to the same spot and tried to rape her, “but seemingly failed. He then tied her to a tree and left her to die,” he said.
Chauke was sentenced to 15 years for murder.
“Chauke was eventually arrested, and he was linked through DNA specimens to all other incidents,” Mamothame said.
In sentencing Chauke, Judge Frances Snyman described Chauke’s actions as horrific and further alluded to the trust that he abused towards women who held him in high regard.
The Director of Public Prosecutions in the North West, Dr Rachel Makhari Sekhaolelo welcomed the conviction.
By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with robbery cases which occurred at Nyamugomba Business Centre and Bantu Mine, Chinhoyi.
A police report seen by Pindula News says the quartet stole gold ore which was recovered following the arrests. Reads the report:
On 04/12/22, Police in Chinhoyi arrested Maxwell Mareka (36), Isaac Masekwa (25), McDavid Masocha (28) and Serina Mashopa (31) in connection with robbery cases which occurred at Nyamugomba Business Centre and Bantu Mine, Nyamugomba Farm. The suspects attacked a shop attendant with a machete before stealing a cellphone and 4 x 750 mls of Two Keys liquor. They went on to attack a mine owner and stole gold ore which they loaded in their get-away Ford Ranger vehicle. The arrest led to the recovery of two machetes and the stolen gold ore.
Since 2019, cases of armed robbers targeting gold mines have been on the rise. That’s the year the cases of machete-wielding gangs shot up.
Machete-wielding gangs have, however, reduced their operations following the deployment of soldiers and police to arrest the notorious gangs who have been terrorising members of the public.
By Patrick Guramatunhu- “Rinemanyanga hariputirwi!” (The one whose defects stick out like horns cannot hide them forever. They will stick out!) so goes the Shona saying.
Nelson Chamisa and his CCC friends are corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent. For the last 22 years, they have portrayed themselves as the democrats; “Change Champion in Chief”, as his supporters have given to calling Chamisa; who will deliver the democratic changes to end the Zanu PF dictatorship. The democratic façade, mask, is falling off to reveal the corrupt, incompetent and utterly useless up starts!
MDC leaders lost political credibility in 2013 when they failed to implement even one meaningful reform in the five years of the 2008 to 2013 GNU. SADC leaders who had forced Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF party to agree to the raft of democratic reforms were so disappointed by MDC leaders’ pathetic performance during the GNU the regional body reverted to endorsing Zanu PF rigged elections in disgust. Many of the MDC’s western backers followed SADC and deserted the party in droves.
MDC continued to enjoy the support of ordinary Zimbabweans because they did not know what the GNU was about implementing the democratic reforms. Indeed, many did not know what the reforms are much less how they were going to be implemented, even now, with benefit of hindsight. And so, they never realised MDC leaders had sold out big time. How could they blame MDC leaders of failing to do something they still do understand!
The recent story that CCC and MDC A MPs were joining their Zanu PF colleagues in getting US$40 000 loans over and above MP’s generous salary and many equally generous allowances including the US$60 000 loan for a car; has forced the people to sit up!
“MPs work very hard and deserve to be rewarded. Beside by paying them well, this will stop them becoming corrupt!” some people have argued. This has worked in the past but not this time.
If the MPs worked hard and they number one task is to craft the necessary laws to guarantee the freedoms and rights of all the citizens, justice, peace, rule of law and to buttress the country’s economic prosperity. Then why is Zimbabwe a failed state, a pariah state, plagued by gross mismanagement, rampant corruption, and lawlessness?
The people of Zimbabwe risked life and limb to elect MDC leaders on the ticket the party will implement the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging the elections and thus end the pariah state, the mismanagement, etc., etc. These problems are still there because MDC leaders have joined Zanu PF in the lawlessness and looting.
Of course, the US$40 000 loan to the MPs was a bribe, one of the many bribes the MPs received from the Zanu PF regime to buy the lawmakers’ blind loyalty allowing the lawlessness and looting to continue unchecked. Nelson Chamisa was forced to agree, the loan was a bribe.
“To call it a loan is to be very nice; this is a bribe disguised as a loan, a donkey is a donkey, you cannot call a lion a cat,” Chamisa admitted on twitter. He argued his CCC MPs not to accept the bribe.
A livid CCC legislator yesterday dismissed Mr Chamisa’s threats as empty thunder, “because he is receiving donations from well-wishers every day, but the money is not accounted for because there is no accountability in the party,” said a report in Bulawayo 24.
The truth is Chamisa is a hypocrite! He is pontificating about this loan being a bribe when he knows this is not only the first bribes these MPs have received but, worst of all, he is recipient of many such bribes himself. It was the very generous salaries and allowances, limos, the US$ 4 million mansion for Tsvangirai, etc., etc. from Mugabe that made the MDC leaders forget implementing reforms for the five years of the GNU. Not even the constant nagging by SADC leaders to implement reforms got MDC leaders to move an inch!
Ever since the GNU debacle MDC/CCC leaders have participated in the flawed elections knowing fully well that doing so will only give SADC the excuse to grant Zanu PF legitimacy and thus perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship. Still, they have participated because they also knew that Zanu PF was giving away a few gravy train seats as bait.
It is nonsensical therefore that Chamisa should now ask the few CCC leaders who won the few gravy train seats to the US$40 000 loan, one of the benefits of being on the gravy train, now that many ordinary Zimbabweans have are finally wake up to the reality MDC/CCC leaders are corrupt and incompetent.
Now that the people of Zimbabwe are sitting up and paying attention, Chamisa will not only have to explain this US$ 40 000 bribe but more significantly why MDC failed to implement even one reform in 22 years and why the party is participating in these flawed elections.
The US$ 40 000 loan has led to the unravelling of many things MDC/CCC did not want to come out. And now the people can finally see Chamisa and company for the corrupt, breathtakingly incompetent and sell outs they are. Renemanyanga hariputirwi!
By A Correspondent- Some private schools have hiked tuition fees for the 2023 first term, citing rising inflation.
Arundel School in Harare has pegged its 2023 school fees at US$2 980 per term for day schoolers, while boarding schoolers will have to fork out US$5 150, reported NewsDay.
According to a circular released by the school, learners will fork out over US$1 500 in enrolment fees for Form 1 places.
The circular reads in part:
Our country’s economic challenges and US$ inflation continue to present difficulties as costs increase in real terms.
Despite this, I assure you that the board remains committed to strategically pursue all avenues to keep costs at reasonable levels without compromising the quality of education offered at the school.
Last month, Primary and Secondary Education ministry spokesperson Taungana Ndoro told State media that government will not block schools from charging exclusively in foreign currency if the majority of parents agree on the decision. He said:
If parents have a consensus we cannot stop them, if they agree as a majority that they want to pay for their children in foreign currency we will not block them.
Yes, we have the policy that says schools cannot charge exclusively in forex, but remember we are dealing with a community of parents and if they collectively decide on something, we will not stand in their way.
However, speaking to State media on Monday, Ndoro backtracked on his previous remarks, saying if parents have free funds in foreign currency, they can pay but no school must force any parent to pay in foreign currency.
Ndoro added that if schools have pegged fees in foreign currency, parents must be allowed to pay in local currency at the prevailing interbank rate of the day the fees are paid.

In 2026, the Hindu Society Harare (HSH) will be celebrating 100 years of existence since its founding in 1926.
To commemorate this event, HSH plans to publish a book documenting events, photos and various milestones during the last 100 years. It has appealed to the community to contribute photos and documents relating to various milestone events since its 1926 formation; including festival celebrations, religious events, temple and school construction, etc.
HSH reportedly organized four-hours long Diwali Mela (fair) on October 22 in Harare celebrating Diwali, the most popular festival of Hindus; and it included fireworks, entertainment and food-stalls.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, commended HSH for engaging the community all these years; and for its efforts to keep the Hindu spirituality, concepts and traditions alive; and attempting to pass these on to the coming generations amidst so many distractions in the consumerist society.
Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, also suggested Hindus to focus on inner search, stay pure, explore the vast wisdom of scriptures, make spirituality more attractive to youth and children, stay away from greed, and always keep God in your life.
Hindus are God’s people, full of courage and generosity, Rajan Zed added.
In Harare, Cameron Street Shree Omkar Mandir celebrated 90th anniversary in February 2019, while 25th anniversary of Ridgeview Shree Omkar Mandir was observed in 2017.
In the past, HSH reportedly had been conducting various bhajan events, twice-weekly yoga classes, Hindi lessons, cultural/social activities; organized daily aarti at both the temples with Havan on Sundays; and offered funeral assistance for bereaved families; etc.; besides running Mahila Mandal, Shishu Mandal and Yuvak Mandal. HSH has also been running various schools—Westridge High School, Westridge Primary School, Gujarati School.

A 50-year-old Zimbabwean priest, who used his position of trust to lure women to secluded spots where he raped them and then tied them to a tree, has been removed from society.
“Especially at a time when we are reflecting on the plight of women during the 16 Days of Activism. This fight needs to be activated 365 to be victorious against this scourge,” she said.—IOL News
…The Zanu PF and MDC Alliance MPs said Chikwinya should return the money if he was in support of Chamisa’s point of view…
There was chaos in the National Assembly yesterday with legislators nearly coming to blows over opposition leader Nelson Chamisa’s calling out of Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Members of Parliament (MPs) for accepting US$40 000 loans offered by government.
Last week, Chamisa issued a muted condemnation of the loans and urged his MPs not to take them, saying it was tantamount to looting public resources. Government ministers were each offered US$500 000, deputy ministers US$350 000 and MPs US$40 000 as loans, leading to heated debate and divided public opinion.
During the National Assembly sitting yesterday, Mliswa raised a matter of national interest on the welfare of legislators, saying MPs in Zimbabwe were the least paid in the region.
He then launched an attack on Chamisa, which irked CCC legislators.
“I would also want leaders of other political parties, especially Advocate Chamisa, to really understand — him being a lawyer — that MPs have a contract with Parliament; not with the party when they are here. I don’t know why he gets involved,” Mliswa said.
“He must not whip them (MPs) on contractual issues. He was once an MP. I expected him to stand for other MPs because he knows how we have suffered. We don’t want such hypocrisy from any leader. Let him deal with putting out his structures at CCC while here in Parliament, we get our money,” he added.
Zanu PF and MDC Alliance legislators cheered Mliswa, but CCC MPs were not impressed.
Mbizo MP Settlement Chikwinya then raised a point of order and accused Mliswa of denigrating Chamisa.
“He cannot respond for himself as he (Chamisa) does not sit in this Parliament,” Chikwinya said.
As Chikwinya spoke, Mliswa, supported by Zanu PF and MDC Alliance MPs, fiercely interjected. The situation became very tense with fingers being pointed at each other. Some MPs jumped over seats to get to Chikwinya and threaten him.
The Zanu PF and MDC Alliance MPs said Chikwinya should return the money if he was in support of Chamisa’s point of view.
The heated argument halted Parliament business for about 15 minutes.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Tsitsi Gezi struggled to bring the House to order.
Later, Gezi criticised the behaviour of MPs saying: “Hunhu hwenyu ndewemubhawa (you are behaving like drunkards).”—Newsday
Zimbabweans should brace for a steep rise in school fees next year after schools released enrolment fees for Form 1 places ranging at up to US$1 500 at some private schools.
This comes after the release of Grade 7 results last week, and parents are now looking for Form 1 places for their children.
Some schools have set Friday this week as the deadline for parents to pay enrolment fees.
Last month, Primary and Secondary Education ministry spokesperson Taungana Ndoro told State media that government will not block schools from charging exclusively in foreign currency if the majority of parents agree on the decision.
Ndoro also said parents who were apposed to foreign currency fees should take their children to other schools.
“If parents have a consensus we cannot stop them, if they agree as a majority that they want to pay for their children in foreign currency we will not block them. Yes, we have the policy that says schools cannot charge exclusively in forex, but remember we are dealing with a community of parents and if they collectively decide on something, we will not stand in their way,” Ndoro was quoted saying.
In a circular seen by NewsDay, Arundel School in Harare has pegged its 2023 school fees at US$2 980 per term for day schoolers, while borders will have to fork out US$5 150. It said the fee increases were caused by high inflation in the country.
The school is reportedly charging over US$1 500 enrolment fees for Form 1 places.
“Our country’s economic challenges and US$ inflation continue to present difficulties as costs increase in real terms. Despite this, I assure you that the board remains committed to strategically pursue all avenues to keep costs at reasonable levels without compromising the quality of education offered at the school,” the Arundel School circular read.
While the bulk of schools were still assessing the situation, and keeping everything under wraps, some private schools such as Falcon College, St George’s and government-run Prince Edward High School are reportedly already charging exorbitant fees.
A headmaster at a boarding school in Manicaland who refused to be named yesterday said: “The cost of running a school have gone up, but some parents are resisting paying the school fees. There is nothing we can do.”
However, teachers unions said the enrolment fees were out of the reach for most civil servants and other workers.
Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe secretary-general Raymond Majongwe tweeted: “Grade 7 results are in; common sense is outside the window. Boarding schools are on average charging US$1 200 for a Form 1 place, including uniforms. A teacher will need six months to get their Form 1 child into a boarding school. Shocking levels of pauperism in the civil service.”
Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe president Obert Masaraure said: “Government has also given a go ahead to schools to charge fees in US$ and they have even gone on to say that if parents do not afford, they should move away from that school. So, we have a clear ideological position for the government of the day where education is now a commodity on the market. It’s only bought by those who can afford it, those who can’t — tough luck. This is against the dictates of section 75 of the Constitution where the State is supposed to fund for basic free education.”
In a statement, the Educators Union of Zimbabwe said: “Those exorbitant fees are symptoms of an educational system rotten to the core. Corruption is now rife among school administrators who want to fatten their pockets in time before retirement.
“We call on the government to address their remuneration and pension issues since these are the major drivers of corruption. It is a tragedy that we have policy-makers that disregard many factors when making such decisions. Clearly, this figure is not well researched. It leaves us with more questions than answers. In brief, a minimum wage of US$150 is a wage set to exploit the workers and perpetuate slavery in our own motherland.”-Newsday report
Teachers are crying foul after school authorities allegedly withheld Grade 7 results for their children to force them to settle school fees arrears despite Government having taken over the obligation.
Several schools in Gweru stand accused of denying teachers’ children access to their results slips, saying they had not paid up school fees yet the fees is supposed to be paid by Government.
In February this year, as a way of improving the welfare of teachers and as part of a host of other incentives extended to civil servants, Government made an undertaking to pay school fees for up to three biological children per teacher’s family.
The promised figures amounted to up to $20 000 per child per term.
In May, the Government fulfilled its commitment to improving conditions of service for teachers after releasing $2,68 billion towards payment of their children’s school fees as agreed in February.
However, the Government is still to cover fees for the third term which has resulted in some schools withholding Grade Seven results to force teachers to settle the fees.
Teachers who spoke to this publication on condition of anonymity said it was sad that fellow workmates in schools had decided to withhold their children’s results over non-payment of fees by the Government.
“It is not like the money for fees is not coming. It will definitely come and here we are dealing with just delays in disbursement of the money,” said a teacher on condition of anonymity.
Another teacher said her child can’t look for a Form One place because she doesn’t have Grade Seven results.
“My daughter had got eight units and the secondary school that accepted her online wants the original results script and is threatening to give other pupils her place if we fail to produce the original script by the end of the week.
Her primary school is refusing to give us. I am a teacher and was waiting for the Government to make the payment,” she said.
The Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Professor Paul Mavima, said Government made an undertaking to pay the fees and the position still remains.
“This is now an administrative matter that the Ministry of Education should pursue with the Treasury. The policy instruction was given earlier this year by His Excellency, President E D Mnangagwa and still stands,” he said.
Zimbabwe Teachers’ Association of Zimbabwe (Zimta) secretary-general Mr Goodwill Taderera said the payment of school fees for teachers directly into their accounts through SSB was what the National Joint Negotiating Council agreed on.
“This was a proposal by the workers where we said rather than putting money into the school account, why not put money into the teacher’s account. We thought it was the best way to go as the school fees payment is concerned,” he said.
In 2018, the then High Court Judge Justice Nicholas Mathonsi declared as unconstitutional the practice by some school authorities of withholding examination results for students as a way to induce payment of outstanding school fees. Chronicle
By-The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation’s Mashonaland East Correspondent, Gerald Sasa, has been appointed Zanu PF spokesperson for Marondera.
Sasa becomes the second ZBC staffer to engage in active Zanu PF politics after Reuben Barwe.
His appointment, according to Chaminuka, Manicaland Weekly publication, is with immediate effect.
Addressing delegates at a recent party gathering in Marondera, ZANU PF provincial chairman Daniel Garwe said Sasi’s appointment is to enhance the party’s communication effectiveness. He was quoted as saying:
These days most communication activities are done via social media through information and publicity departments, if we have a weak communications department, it means the whole party is doomed. If we have a communications department which is against positive gossiping, the name of the president is also affected.
We consulted him to find out if his employers allow him to take up the post and he said they have no problems with his political association. We then told him that your initial mandate is to stop social media conflicts bedeviling the party in the province, particularly in Marondera West where he comes from and Marondera Central.
In 2020, ZBC chief correspondent Reuben Barwe contested and won in the ZANU PF District Coordinating Committee (DCC) with self-exiled former cabinet Minister Jonathan Moyo saying Barwe had lost “his credibility as a ZBC journalist!”
ZBC is a state broadcaster which has also come under fire for alleged biased partisan reporting prompting some to call for in-depth media reforms.
The Zimbabwean constitution prohibits the participation of public officeholders in political affairs as that would jeopardise the impartial execution of their duties and responsibilities.
Lawyers representing Rodger Tafadzwa Kadzimwe, also known as DJ Levels in entertainment circles, will engage singer Shashl (born Ashleigh Angel Moyo) over a set of demands she wants to be met before seeking withdrawal of rape and physical assault charges against him.
Mr Dumisani Mtombeni, who is representing DJ Levels, yesterday revealed that Shashl indicated that she wanted her former lover to issue an apology, among other conditions, before she can withdraw charges.
He said he would engage his client first and take further instructions before engaging Shashl and her team.
Yesterday’s development left the prosecution with no option but to return the docket containing rape and physical abuse charges to the police station for further management.
DJ Levels was then charged with violating some sections of the Data Protection Act which prohibits transmission of intimate images without consent.
He was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mrs Kudzai Zihove, who granted him $20 000 bail and ordered him to return to court on January 20 next year.
The State led by Mr Pardon Dziva alleged that between September last year and November this year, DJ Levels and Shashl were in a love relationship.
It is said that the two had irreconcilable differences that led to their split.
DJ Levels is said to have tracked his ex-lover to Pabloz nightclub, a popular joint in Borrowdale, Harare, with the intention to mend their relationship, but Shashl remained adamant and turned him down.
The court heard that after failing to convince Shashl to reconcile, he then threatened her with unspecified actions, saying she would have regrets.
According to Shashl’s recorded statement during police investigations, she only came to know of the posted inappropriate videos on November 27 around mid-morning.
She told the police that she believed that DJ Levels was responsible for posting the videos on social media.
“Then on the 27th of November 2022 at around 1000hrs that is when I noticed that my nude videos and pictures with the accused person were on social media and I believe that the accused person is the one who posted them to get revenge since he had threatened to tarnish my image,” she said.
“He once did it in August 2022 when he posted a video of us kissing. On the same day, the accused person called me stating that he wanted to see me so that we could fix the issue together, or else he would kill himself, but I turned down his suggestion.” -state media.

Goncalo Ramos netted a magnificent hat-trick after being named as Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock replacement to inspire Portugal to a 6-1 World Cup romp against Switzerland.
Portugal boss Fernando Santos sprung a huge surprise by leaving the leading goalscorer in history of international football on the bench. A 21-year-old making his first international start promptly stole the show and booked a quarterfinal showdown with Morocco.
Ramos violently crashed a 17th-minute shot into the top corner before a man 18 years his senior, veteran centre-back Pepe, become the second-oldest goalscorer at the World Cup behind Cameroon great Roger Milla.
There was nothing backward looking or nostalgic about this Portugal side, though, as Ramos and Raphael Guerriero put the game to bed early in the second half. After Manuel Akanji, one of Switzerland’s bedraggled defenders, pulled one back, Ramos secured the matchball and substitute Rafael Leao rifled home a show-stopping sixth.- The Sporting News
By – The parliament of Indonesia on Tuesday approved a new criminal code that bans premarital sex and sex outside marriage with a punishment of up to one year in jail.
The new code, which will apply to Indonesians and foreigners alike, also prohibits cohabitation between unmarried couples.
It will also ban insulting the president or state institutions, spreading views counter to the state ideology and staging protests without notification.
The laws were passed with support from all political parties.
However, the code will not come into effect for three years to allow for implementing regulations to be drafted.
Currently, Indonesia bans adultery but not premarital sex.
Maulana Yusran, deputy chief of Indonesia’s tourism industry board, said the new code was “totally counter-productive” at a time when the economy and tourism were starting to recover from the pandemic.
Foreign arrivals in the holiday destination of Bali are expected to reach pre-pandemic levels of six million by 2025, the tourism association has said previously.
Indonesia is also trying to attract more so-called “digital nomads” to its tropical shores by offering a more flexible visa.
Speaking at an investment summit, U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia Sung Kim said the news could result in less foreign investment, tourism and travel to the Southeast Asian nation.
Albert Aries, a spokesperson for Indonesia’s justice ministry, said the new laws regulating morality were limited by who could report them, such as a parent, spouse or child of suspected offenders. He said:
The aim is to protect the institution of marriage and Indonesian values, while at the same time being able to protect the privacy of the community and also negate the rights of the public or other third parties to report this matter or ‘playing judge’ on behalf of morality.
These laws are part of a raft of legal changes that critics say undermine civil liberties in the world’s third-largest democracy. Other laws include bans on black magic.
Responding to the criticism, Indonesia’s Law and Human Rights Minister Yasonna Laoly told parliament:
It’s not easy for a multicultural and multi-ethnic country to make a criminal code that can accommodate all interests.
Legal experts say that an article in the code on customary law could reinforce discriminatory and sharia-inspired bylaws at a local level, and pose a particular threat to LGBT people.
The public response to the new code has been muted so far, with only small protests held in the capital, Jakarta, on Monday on Tuesday.
Morocco reached the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time, as they ousted former winners Spain on penalties in a gripping Round of 16 game.

By James Gwati- A Harare magistrate, Mrs Kudzai Zihove, Tuesday dropped rape charges against Chill Spot Records music producer, Tafadzwa Kadzimwe, A.K.A. DJ Levels.
Levels now faces charges of violating the Data Protection Act.
This was after an indication that his accuser, Ashleigh Moyo, A.K.A. Shashalde to withdraw rape charges against him.
The courts also freed him on ZWL$20 000 bail.
The court referred the rape and physical abuse charges to the police for further management upon indications that Shashl intends to withdraw on certain conditions.
DJ Levels was not asked to plead to the charges when he appeared in court and was ordered to return on January 20 2023.
Mr Pardon Dziva appeared for the State, while lawyer Mr Dumisani Mtombeni represented DJ Levels.

Brazil made a gigantic statement in their quest for a sixth World Cup win with an artful 4-1 demolition of South Korea in the Round of 16.
The Selecao are chasing a first World Cup trophy since Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho swept to glory in 2002 and their first-half display at Stadium 974 was worthy of being a part of that lineage.
Pele, who posted a message of support from his Twitter account saying he would watch on from his hospital bed, might also have recognised something in the wonderful verve of Brazil’s play form the moment Vinicius Jr. coolly found a seventh-minute opener.
Neymar was back from his ankle injury and converted a 13th-minute penalty, while Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta also got in on the act before halftime. Paik Seung-ho ensured the spectacular goals were not limited to Brazil, but this was still a performance to strike fear into quarterfinal opponents Croatia and the rest of the teams remaining in Qatar.
Raphinha was a livewire presence down the right wing all night and brilliantly crafted the opener. After leaving Hwang In-beom on his backside and exchanging passes with Casemiro, the Barcelona winger cut the ball back for Vinicius, who was not perturbed by a cluster of players in the goalmouth and finished high into the net.
Kim Young-gwon brought minimal contact but maximum clumsiness to a challenge on Richarlison and Neymar did the rest from the spot, rolling his penalty home after outfoxing Kim Seung-gyu.
Korea goalkeeper Kim made a succession of fine saves either side of halftime but he could do nothing when Richarlison produced the pick of the goals in the 29th minute.
The Tottenham forward engaged in some one-man head tennis briefly before dummying a pass from Marquinhos to fellow centre-back Thiago Silva. The veteran Chelsea player then laid a perfectly weighted pass on a plate for Richarlison.
Another sweeping team move saw Vinicius chip a cross for Paqueta to emphatically smash home.
Korea stuck to their task after the break and benefitted from a testimonial feel in the closing stage, which featured Brazil’s third-choice goalkeeper Weverton replacing Alisson. The Liverpool No 1 had made a couple of excellent saves from Hwang Hee-chan but had no chance when substitute Paik took aim from 25 yards. – Sporting News

Tinashe Sambiri| Vibrant pressure group and citizens’ initiative Team Pachedu has exposed rigging of elections by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission ( ZEC).
Below is Team Pachedu’s statement on anomalies ZEC is failing to address before polls.
“We have discovered thousands of systematically altered IDs between the 2008 and 2022 rolls.
The third digit of the 2008 ID, mainly 9, was removed and a new check letter was generated in the 2022 VR.
This mass-editing of IDs is similar to how Nikuv created fake voters.
ZEC created thousands of fake ages.
For instance, in the 2008 and 2013 rolls, this voter was born in 1977, but in the 2022 roll, ZEC changed to 1997 – 20 years younger.
The current 1997 means that she was already in the 2008 roll at 11 years old, which is unrealistic!”

By Reuters- Indonesia’s parliament approved a new criminal code on Tuesday that bans premarital sex and sex outside marriage with a punishment of up to one year in jail.

By James Gwati- A Harare magistrate, Mrs Kudzai Zihove, Tuesday dropped rape charges against Chill Spot Records music producer, Tafadzwa Kadzimwe, AKA. DJ Levels.
Levels now faces charges of violating the Data Protection Act.
This was after an indication that his accuser, Ashleigh Moyo, AKA.
By- The ongoing rural voters’ mobilisation programming conducted by the opposition CCC has invited divisions within the party.
These divisions came to light at the weekend when the CCC Secretary General Chalton Hwende withdrew from the exercise.
The Kuwadzana East legislator withdrew, citing hostile social media comments from colleagues in the party.
He said he would now concentrate on other arms of the party, according to NewsDay. He is quoted as saying:
My withdrawal from rural mobilisation is strictly attributed to people who are hostile on social media platforms; not any other reason.
Earlier, Hwende had tweeted:
Yesterday I addressed a ward meeting of @CCCZimbabwe volunteers in Mhondoro. We prefer smaller meetings to counter victimisation. This is probably my last meeting. I have noticed the negative comments from our CCC citizens on Twitter whenever I go to mugwazo in Mhondoro. I have also considered the stress and anguish which most of the comments cause to my teenage kids.
The reason I agreed to help in Mhondoro was to assist in growing the rural vote. I did 38-weekend meetings this year, funding myself and abandoning my work at my logistics company.
As a leader in the movement, I have a responsibility to take into account the negative comments on Twitter and also introspect. I will use the December holiday to do exactly that. I love my citizens’ movement the @CCCZimbabwe and will continue contributing in other areas.
CCC has been engaged in the mugwazo rural mobilisation programme to lure the rural vote ahead of next year’s polls.
The campaign is meant to encourage citizens to register to vote in numbers for the 2023 polls.
I’m in rural Zimbabwe, in Bikita. And it’s so refreshing to see how all Zimbabweans are excited and ready for change, hanzi #NGAAPINDE. Thank you fellow citizens for the new energy and overwhelming support! Wherever you are, play your part to turn Zimbabwe New & Great. #Thistimepic.twitter.com/cHFixmE8WD

A new report by the World Health Organization shows evidence of a higher risk of premature death and illness among many persons with disabilities compared to others in the society.
The Global report on health equity for persons with disabilities published today shows that because of the systemic and persistent health inequities, many persons with disabilities face the risk of dying much earlier—even up to 20 years earlier—than persons without disabilities.
They have an increased risk of developing chronic conditions, with up to double the risk of asthma, depression, diabetes, obesity, oral diseases, and stroke. Many of the differences in health outcomes cannot be explained by the underlying health condition or impairment, but by avoidable, unfair and unjust factors.
Launched ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the report shows the number of people with significant disabilities worldwide has risen to 1.3 billion (or 1 in 6 people). This number reinforces the importance of achieving full and effective participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society and embedding the principles of inclusion, accessibility and non-discrimination in the health sector.
Unfair factors: a key cause of disparities in health The report stresses the need for urgent action to address the vast inequities in health caused by unjust and unfair factors within health systems. These factors—which account for many of the differences in health outcomes between persons with and without disabilities—could take the form of:
negative attitudes of healthcare providers, health information in formats that cannot be understood, or difficulties accessing a health centre due to the physical environment, lack of transport or financial barriers.
“Health systems should be alleviating the challenges that people with disabilities face, not adding to them,” said WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
“This report shines a light on the inequities that people with disabilities face in trying to access the care they need. WHO is committed to supporting countries with the guidance and tools they need to ensure all people with disabilities have access to quality health services.”
With an estimated 80% of persons with disabilities living in low- and middle-income countries where health services are limited, addressing health inequities could be challenging. Yet even with limited resources, much can be achieved.
Opportunities for a disability-inclusive health sector Recognizing that everyone has the same right to the highest attainable standard of health, the report provides important economic analysis of adopting a disability-inclusive approach.
It shows investing in a disability-inclusive health sector is cost-effective.
WHO calculates that governments could expect a return of about US$ 10 for every US$ 1 invested on disability-inclusive noncommunicable disease prevention and care. In addition, family planning and vaccination are cost–effective when implemented in a disability-inclusive manner.
Targeted and comprehensive actions across the health sector The report outlines 40 actions across the health sector for governments to take, drawing on the latest evidence from academic studies as well as consultations with countries and civil society, including organizations representing persons with disabilities. These actions vary by resource level and range from addressing physical infrastructure to training of health and care workers.
Ensuring health equity for persons with disabilities will also have wider benefits and can advance global health priorities in 3 ways:
health equity for all is critical towards achieving universal health coverage; inclusive public health interventions that are administered equitably across different sectors can contribute to healthier populations; and advancing health equity for persons with disabilities is a central component in all efforts to protect everyone in health emergencies. “Addressing health inequities for persons with disabilities benefits everyone,” said Dr Bente Mikkelsen, WHO Director for Noncommunicable Diseases. “Older persons, people with noncommunicable diseases, migrants and refugees, or other frequently unreached populations, can benefit from approaches that target the persistent challenges to disability inclusion in the health sector.”
She added: “We urge governments, health partners and civil society to ensure all health sector actions are inclusive of persons with disabilities so that they can enjoy their right to the highest standard of health.”

The third digit of the 2008 ID, mainly 9, was removed and a new check letter was generated in the 2022 VR.
This mass-editing of IDs is similar to how Nikuv created fake voters.
ZEC created thousands of fake ages.

18 hours, everyday, for the past two weeks, there hasn’t been any power in Zimbabwean households, including mine. Our internet provider has had two outages in the past week. The freezer section of the fridge is leaking and there is bloody liquids marking their territory on the tiles.
Driving in Harare has always been for the brave, but now with countless robots (that’s what we call traffic lights here, Ntabiseng) not working, plus the rain, it is going to be a shit show.
However, while everyone is complaining, I am seeing the silver lining. This is the work of our detractors, western imperialism at its best. Somewhere upstream, they are messing with flow of the water. Sanctions, sanctions, sanctions!
Sanctions must go so that the water can flow back into the Kariba. Sanctions must go so that we can build more power stations inland. We have the water and we have the coal, we just need the sanctions gone!
And there is no one else who is fighting for these sanctions better than the incumbent. Down with the sanctions-beggars, down.
Mining is a form of business that is not understood by many people.
In mining it is important to work with individuals with expertise and relevant knowledge.
The presentation below was prepared by Three Wingers Enterprises. The company provides mining consultancy services, housing services, business consultancy and networking for farmers, among other services…
Steps to keeping your Mining as professional and still small Mining is a business just like any other business .
1 Hire people who understand Mining in everything not relatives and friends even your wife and children.
Hire a qualified manager with knowledge of small scale Mining ( not necessarily from school of mines ) or train one for yourself.
Manager is key to mine administration, record keeping , production analysis and decision making, meeting Mining officers , hiring relevant workers and most of all keeping gold and administrating capital.
2 Take your time understand Mining yourself manager shouldn’t be ahead of you buy books about Mining laws like a mines and minerals act . Explosives act , gold trade act .
3 Take informed risks invest capital for learning through venture called sponsorship for less than 2000usd even 500usd buy things like explosives , cyanide, diesel, tank construction or buy a compressor and visit regularly and learn more to invest more .
I call this phase investing to learn profit is bonus . The more you visit and prepared to learn the more you increase chances of winning.
4 understand the meaning of Mining compliance inorder to avoid conflict with law officers and increase your chances of making profit 5 know all risky adventures in the mining sector. Only sell value property to fund a mine when you are a guru .
6 when you have understood the game invest more in equipment to speed a process you understand and make money 7 if possible go to school of mines for short courses after you have understood small scale Mining full .
8 look for other forms of making money in the mining sector without having to mine below are opportunities you can explore preferably with us 1 finance: Mining sector in Zimbabwe has no funding its high risky funding we have modeled a less risky funding process.

By Wilbert Mukori | “It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages.” Wrote the great Scottish Economist, Adam Smith, in his book, An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations.
In these two sentences, Adam Smith spelt out the essence of a health and functioning economy.
When Zimbabwe gained her independence in 1980 the incoming Zanu PF government led by Robert Mugabe inherited a healthy, robust and functioning economy; the Biblical seven fat cows and seven fat ears of corn.
“When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream: He was standing by the Nile, 2 when out of the river there came up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed among the reeds. 3 After them, seven other cows, ugly and gaunt, came up out of the Nile and stood beside those on the riverbank. 4 And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up.” Genesis 41 verse 1 – 4.
Let’s just say in Zimbabwe, the seven ugly and gaunt cows emerged on 18 April 1980 and the started the business of devouring the seven sleek, fat cows.
Whilst Ian Smith had governed with an eye on the key Adam Smith key essentials of sound economics; Mugabe had his eyes on spending the nation into mass economic prosperity, “gutsa ruzhinji” as Mugabe called it. At least, that was what he said in public.
Mugabe’s number one priority was to create an all power and very prosperous ruling elite with himself as the lord of the manor sitting at the apex of the pyramid pulling all the strings. He hatched his plan and put it into practise as soon as he got into office.
In an interview with Trevor Ncube, “Conversation with Trevor Simba Makoni”, Dr Simba Makoni, revealed how then Prime Minister Robert Mugabe surprised his ministers with new Mercedes Benz limos just a few months after getting into office. The limos were to replace the Peugeot 406 Smith had issued to ministers. The limos had not been budgeted for and did not even have cabinet approval. This was the start of the political patronage systemin which the beneficiaries paid back with blind loyalty to Mugabe!
Mugabe was a control freak, he had a say in the appointment of ministers, Police and Army generals, senior civil servants, heads of parastatals, etc. And all these chefs were appointed for their loyalty to Mugabe and not merit. Dr Makoni told Trevor how the culture of no expense spared in spoiling the chefs quickly spread.
It was “normal”, Dr Makoni explained, for ZESA, NRZ or some such parastatal to pay the CEO, senior managers, and the coterie of other political appointees hundreds of thousands of dollars in pay, cars, mansions and other allowances even when the company was failing to deliver core service, pay its bills including the meagre wages of the low-grade workers.
The political patronage system had everyone eating out of Mugabe’s hand like helpless puppies the man enjoy absolute power. All those around him were so fearful of him they did not dare question him even when he was utterly wrong, notably during the Gukurahundi years when murdered over 20 000 PF Zapu supporters in the quest to create a de facto one-party dictatorship.
On the economic front, the patronage system resulted in gross mismanagement and rampant corruption as it valued loyalty to Mugabe over merit. And it was these two cancers, the ugly and gaunt cows, that have destroyed Zimbabwe’s economy.
“Mose murivakadzi vaMugabe!” (You are all Mugabe’s helpless concubines!) retorted Margaret Dongo to her fellow Zanu PF MPs, Ministers and the rest of the Zanu PF leaders in sheer frustration at how they all grovelled to Mugabe. A statement of fact which recalled, no doubt, always brought a grin of pride and satisfaction to the tyrant.
Zimbabwe had many opportunities to dismantle the Zanu PF dictatorship with the best coming during the 2008 to 2013 GNU. SADC leaders had managed to force Mugabe to accept the need to implement democratic reforms to restore the individual freedoms and rights including the right to free and fair elections and even the right to life, denied by the dictatorship. Morgan Tsvangirai and his MDC friends were tasked to implement the reforms. They failed to implement even one token reform in five years!
Mugabe, who had remained state President in the GNU, bribe the MDC leaders with generous salaries and allowances, Mercedes Benz limos for ministers, a US$4 million mansion for Tsvangirai, etc. The MDC leaders kick reforms into the tall grass and were licking Mugabe’s hands like ever so grateful puppies, just as readily as their Zanu PF counterparts had done.
“Mazivanhu eMDC adzidza kudya anyerere!” (MDC leaders have learned to enjoy the gravy train good-life, they will never rock the boat!) boasted Zanu PF cronies during the GNU when asked why MDC was not implementing reforms. economy.
Zanu PF emerged out of the 2008 to 2013 GNU with all its dictatorial powers untouched. SADC leaders reverted to turning a blind eye to Zanu PF rigging the elections and grant the regime legitimacy in disgust at the MDC’s failure to implement even one reform.
Just to be absolutely certain the opposition participated in the elections regardless how flawed and illegal, Zanu PF has allowed the opposition to win a few gravy train seats. A small price to pay for legitimacy!
The MDC leaders missed their chance to implement the reforms and have given up on the quest for free elections and good governance. They have paid lip service to demanding reforms, to please their naïve and gullible supporters when in reality they were content with the few gravy train seats Zanu PF offered as bait.
Mugabe would have remained life-President if it was not for his wife who pressured him to remove Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Lacoste friends so that she and her G40 faction could take over. On 15 November 2017, after 37 years of absolute power, Mugabe was forced to resign after military coup staged by Lacoste faction.
Mugabe was very bitter that he was forced to give up power, he had become addicted. He died of a broken heart, I guess, 6 September 2019, barely two after the coup.
When Mnangagwa took over from Mugabe he was cocksure he would revive the country’s comatose economy. His “Zimbabwe is open for business!” mantra was a lead balloon that never took off because he failed to keep two key promises – to end corruption and to hold free elections.
For Mnangagwa or anyone for that matter, to end corruption and to hold free elections, he had to dismantle the Zanu PF patronage system. It was this that had kept Mugabe in power and removed him when he threatened many of the beneficiaries of the system with early retirement or worse.
By the same token it was the patronage system that had saved Mnangagwa from the life as a fugitive, he was on the run following his dismissal from his VP post on 5 November 2017, to make him state President. The same people who made him President would have him removed from office is he dared displease them by dismantling the patronage system.
And so, Emmerson Mnangagwa inherit the corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship with the economy in total meltdown after decades of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption. The seven fat cows inherited in 1980 have been devoured years ago. The national economy has collapsed and so too have basic services such as health and education. 50 % of the people now live in abject poverty.
Mnangagwa, just like Mugabe before, has all but thrown the ordinary citizens overboard as he is forced to cream-off the nation’s fast shrinking wealth to keep the patronage system going. The nation has been reverted by the revelation that he had approved a US$40 000 house or car loan for MPs. He was forced to extend the scheme to MPs after they found out he had approved US$ 500 000 and £50 000 loans to Ministers and deputy Ministers respectively. And now it is the ordinary citizens’ turn to complain at the extravagant waste when nation is failing to supply something as basic as clean water!
There is a Zimbabwe Daily cartoon of Mnangagwa with a US$40 000 bag of money at the end of a fishing line. There is do or die scrimmage of “opposition MPs” fight each other to grab the bag. Mnangagwa is sitting there with a smog grin on his face.
A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS!
With the upcoming 2023 elections everyone would want to be on the gravy train and so the fight for elected position will be just as fierce in the opposition as in Zanu PF itself.
To entice the ordinary citizens to vote for the ruling party the bag of money is replaced with bag of food aid and or agricultural inputs. And just to be certain of electoral victory the party wields a large stick to punish those who dare to refuse to vote for the party.
Zimbabwe is an autocracy, not a democracy, and instead of being governed by sound economic policies and rule of laws we live by whims of a dictator.
In the next few weeks Zanu PF, CCC and the rest will be producing the 2023 Election Manifesto with the usual fanfare. An utter waste of time! What is the point of producing detailed economic policies when the elections are being rigged and those doing the rigging are not influenced by the manifesto!
“It is from the benevolence of the dictator that we are forced to expect our dinner but are starving because of the inherent criminal waste of human and material resources and the insatiable greed of the tyrant and ruling elite. It is utterly pointless addressing ourselves to their humanity or our suffering because all they care about is retaining absolute power at all costs. And the more dependent we are on the dictator the greater his power over us.” To paraphrase Adam Smith.
Zimbabwe is in a serious economic and political mess. The present situation in which half the population is living in abject poverty denied of basic services such as health care and quality education is socially and politically unsustainable. We cannot stop Zanu PF going ahead with these flawed 2023 elections but can see to it that the regime does not get political legitimacy by making sure the process is condemned.
If Zanu PF is denied legitimacy the country will be forced to go into a new GNU arrangement as happened in 2008. This time, we must ensure the reforms are implemented and the Zanu PF dictatorship is finally, finally, dismantled.
The arrest of Chillspot records producer DJ Levels on rape allegations has made an interesting turn after the complainant father and former Health minister Obadiah Moyo showed up at the Harare Magistrates court.
Shashl born Ashley Moyo filed rape charges against DJ Levels citing an incident that happened in July 2021 at the music producer’s house.
Levels is due to appear in court today but the appearance of Obadiah Moyo points to the complainant and her family taking the issue seriously.
Moyo was relieved of her ministerial duties in July 2020 following his arrest on corruption charges involving funds meant for COVID-19 relief.
Troubled Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) legislator, Job Sikhala’s trial failed to start Monday after the jailed politician challenged charges laid against him which he argued they did not disclose an offence.
Sikhala pleaded not guilty to allegations of defeating the course of justice, telling court that he did not commit the offence as alleged by prosecutors.
The politician and lawyer said he was being persecuted for representing the family of slain CCC activist Moreblessing Ali.
Sikhala was arrested in June this year on allegations of posting a video demanding justice for Ali.
Using the same video footage, prosecutors also charged the brave politician for defeating the course of justice.
Sikhala argues there was an unnecessary split of charges; he prayed for his acquittal.
“The State cannot multiply charges for what in reality is one offence,” argued Jeremiah Bamu, lawyer for the embattled legislator.
“The accused will contend that the charge levelled against him does not disclose an offence in that the State only alleges that accused intended to mislead police investigations but does not allege that there was actual obstruction.
“There is nowhere in the alleged video where the accused is shown addressing or supplying any information to the police.
“There is nowhere in the alleged utterances where the police are requested to act on any information that was so supplied or address so made.
“The charge sheet does not allege that the police acted on that information, or how such information was acted upon. The charge sheet does not allege how acting upon such information obstructed their investigations.
Bamu added, “He did not circulate nor cause to be circulated any video as alleged. He will put the State to strict proof of these allegations.
“In the event that the State has no such proof, he will pray that these allegations be struck out from the charge sheet.
“He was not aware of any police investigations as alleged or at all. He was not aware that the police were on a manhunt for Pias Jamba as alleged or at all.”
Sikhala said he has not been furnished with the state outline as required by law.
“He has only been furnished with a flash disk containing one video clip. The video clip relates to the second portion of the transcript as appears on his warned and cautioned statement. He has not been furnished with any video clip or other evidence supporting the first portion of the transcript as appears on the warned and cautioned statement,” Bamu further argued.
While excepting to the charge, Bamu said Sikhala cannot be held responsible for how the police choose to conduct themselves on any given matter.
“Accused has no control over police conduct. The video furnished to the accused does not support the charge alleged against him. In the circumstances, the accused will pray that the exception be upheld and that he be found not guilty and acquitted,” said the lawyer.
Sikhala said he was not furnished with sufficient details as to enable him to answer to the charge as required by section 70 (1) (b) of the Constitution.
He also complained that he was not afforded adequate time and facilities to prepare his defence.
Magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa will hand down her ruling on the lawmaker’s application on December 13.

Fourteen members of the Johanne Masowe Baptist Church, believed to be Zimbabweans, have been confirmed dead after drowning during a baptism ceremony that went wrong in Jukskei River in South Africa.
Reports indicate that more people may have been swept away during the weekend baptism ceremony at Jukskei River in Morningside, Johannesburg.
According to eNews Channel Africa (eNCA), the search for the 14 resumed yesterday morning.
“Many of the more than 30 people taking part in the ceremony were thought to have been swept away,” eNCA claimed.
“Fourteen bodies have been recovered after flash floods swept worshippers during baptism at the notorious Jukskei River near Bramley/Alexandra. Search and rescue for the missing people is underway.”
The Jukskei River runs through the densely populated Alexandra township of Johannesburg, where religious groups frequently gather for baptism and ritual cleansing.
Johannesburg Emergency Services spokesman Robert Mulaudzi was quoted saying that officials had warned residents about the dangers of conducting rituals along rivers.
Some of the more than 30 congregants were said to have been standing on rocks in the river on Saturday when a torrent of water suddenly swept them away, a witness said.
The pastor was reportedly saved after he clung on to a tree branch overhanging the river as he was being carried away, the witness added.
In a statement yesterday, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Gauteng province said: “The EFF in Gauteng mourn the lives of the 14 Johanne Masowe Baptist Church members who tragically lost their lives on Saturday during their sacred baptism practice along the Jukskei River. We also extend our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in such a tragic manner.
“We also call on the provincial government of Gauteng to intensify the rescue efforts of the added three members who are said to be still missing. As Africans, our faith and spiritual beliefs are entrenched in our DNA. The churches, rivers, mountains and oceans have always been our places of refuge when we seek spiritual guidance. No one would have thought that such a sacred practice would be marred by such a tragedy. In the same breath, we cannot ignore the permanent flood threat that the Jukskei River poses to the Alexander community, particularly in Stjwetla.”
By A Correspondent| Journalist Hope Chizuzu is set to appear before the Magistrates Courts in Bulawayo on 9 December 2022 on charges of transmitting false data messages in contravention of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act as amended.
This follows his initial appearance on 28 November 2022 wherein the State requested the journalist to be placed on remand.
Chizuzu is being accused of transmitting false data messages intending to cause harm in contravention of Section 164C of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act as amended.
MISA Zimbabwe deployed lawyer Nqobani Sithole, who argued that the matter should proceed by way of summons as has been the case since the arrest of the journalist on 29 September 2022. This position was supported by the Magistrate, Maxwell Ncube.
On 29 November 2022, summons were then served on the lawyer, Sithole, requesting Chizuzu to appear before the court on 9 December 2022.
By A Correspondent- The three individuals were arrested after alert members from a Zanu PF affiliate, Forever Associates of Zimbabwe (FAZ), realised that some legitimate beneficiaries settled on a farm in the area had not received their allocation of fertilisers despite Government sending in the right quantities.
Police deputy provincial spokesperson for Mashonaland West, Assistant Inspector Ian Kohwera, confirmed the arrest of the three suspects and applauded FAZ members for alerting them.
He warned those in the habit of abusing Government inputs that the full wrath of the law will descend on them heavily if caught on the wrong side of the law.
“I would like to commend FAZ members for working with us and bringing the culprits to us,” said Asst Inp Kohwera. “Let me confirm the arrest of three suspects who are to appear in court in due course to answer to the charges. It is very important for communities to work closely with the police so as to prevent crime.”
Recounting how they recovered the inputs, FAZ member Mr Tadiwanashe Mudzingwa said out of the 40 bags of fertiliser that should have been distributed on Temple Wheat Farm, the trio only issued 21 and kept 19 bags for their personal use.
“I received a phone call from our team leader Cde (Winnie) Tapfumaneyi that some beneficiaries of the Presidential Inputs Scheme had not received their allocations at Temple Wheat Farm,” he said.
“I then went to the farm and met the one who had distributed the fertilisers. After initially denying that he had short-changed some beneficiaries, he later admitted that he had connived with two other men to divert 19 bags of fertiliser.
“He then gave us the names of the 21 people he had distributed the fertilisers to and we cross-checked with them and confirmed that they had indeed received the fertiliser. We then proceeded to the home of one of the accomplices and recovered 18 bags of fertilisers, while one is outstanding.
After this, we took the three individuals to Banket Police Station where they were arrested and gave statements and we expect them to appear in court soon.”
Mr Mudzingwa said it was unfortunate that people entrusted with distributing Government inputs ended up converting them to their own use.
By- The opposition CCC Secretary General Chalton Hwende has withdrawn from the party’s rural voter mobilization program.
The Kuwadzana East legislator said he withdrew because of hostile social media comments from colleagues in the party.
By Nomusa Garikai| “Our motive is clear, we want to win the 2023 Presidential Election. Let it be known that Chigumba cannot stop the wave of change,” said CCC Task Force Committee member for communication, Stephen Sarkozy Chuma.
Wanting to win and actually winning are two different things. There is nothing to stop me saying I want to run 100 m in 10 seconds or even 200m in 10 seconds. What matters is the reality. I know with my pot-belly if I run 20m, forgot 100m, in 10 seconds I will be huffing and puffing!
A rational person will try a few time to run 100m and if their time is way off the 10 seconds mark will accept they cannot run 100m in 10 seconds. If a great athlete like Usan Bolt at his best just managed to run 100m in under 10 seconds it is just nonsense to claim one can run twice the distance, 200m, in 10 seconds.
The trouble with these CCC supporters is they are do not know the difference between fact and wishful thing, truth and reality, what they can and cannot do.
Zanu PF is rigging these elections and the evidence is there for everyone to see. ZEC has stubbornly refused to produce a verified voters’ roll, how can the elections be free and fair without something as basic as the voters’ roll. The regime is denying 3 million Zimbabweans in the diaspora the vote because most of these voters are economic and/or political refugees and they blame Zanu PF for their plight. Zanu PF knows that and is cherry picking who can vote.
CCC’s flagship strategy of mass voter registration was dead in the water from the word go because we know from past experience that ZEC will make it near impossible for opposition supporters to register. And so it was no surprise that as of 30 May 2022, four years since the last election and a year to go before the 2023 elections, only 250 000 new voters had register. This is 4% of CCC’s own target to register 6 million new voters!
After 42 years of rigged elections one would think the penny has finally drop on the sheer futility of participating in these elections so flawed and illegal not even getting 73% of the votes was good enough to win, as the March 2008 vote showed.
Of course, the CCC leaders themselves know it is futile participating in these flawed elections as David Coltart confessed in his book.
“The worst aspect for me about the failure to agree a coalition was that both MDCs couldn’t now do the obvious – withdraw from the (2023) elections,” wrote Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.
“The electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility.”
The failure to agree a coalition was just a feeble excuse for participating. The truth is MDC leaders participated in the 2013 elections for the same reasons they had failed to implement even one reform during the GNU – greed (which Coltart admitted to above) and their breath-taking incompetence.
In any case, the four main MDC factions did form the MDC Alliance just before the 2018 elections. They all knew with not even one token reform implemented since 2013 elections, Zanu PF was rigging those elections too. And yet there was still no talk of boycotting those elections for the same reasons – incompetence and greed.
MDC/CCC have been participating in these elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy for the sake of the few gravy train seats Zanu PF gives away as bait. At least there is something in it for the Chamisa and company; there is absolutely for the ordinary citizen to gained from this madness of perpetuating the Zanu PF dictatorship.
Of course, it is insane to keep participating in elections so flawed and so illegal the only rational course of action is to boycott but to arrive at that decision one must necessarily be rational. Sadly, many of our people are NOT rational. Why anyone would participate in such flawed and illegal elections, especially after 42 years of rigged elections beggars belief? How can anyone not know what constitute free, fair and credible elections, in this day and age?
Both Zanu PF and CCC are conning the people into participating in flawed elections process for the political leaders’ selfish gain. And the voters are so naïve and gullible they don’t even know they are being short changed, even after 42 years of rigged elections.
Universal suffrage should be a blessing, but in Zimbabwe it is clearly a curse particularly when both Zanu PF and CCC are not lifting a finger to educate the voters but taking full advantage of their ignorance instead.
By A Correspondent | Mystery surrounds the whereabouts of the controversial self styled whistle-blower, Susan Mutami following an eletric period of exposing ZANU PF President Emmerson Mnangagwa and rallying the public around that cause, between June and August 2022. Mutami is now nowhere to be seen. Since the period of the United Nations she went off social media and off friends.
So what really happened to the whistleblower who could have easily helped to lift the plight of abused minors? ZimEye searches around all over Brisbane, among friends, family, and even on the Twitter website that became her attack base against people like Marry Mubaiwa who ended up being amputated following Mutami’s false allegations, Susan still cannot be found.
ZimEye checks with Susan’s mother, Rebecca Mutami, whose phone is switched off soon after picking up the journalist’s voice. Soon after that call, the mum’s Facebook posting stops completely for months running into December, not a single dot can be seen.
ZimEye turns to Susan’s young sister, the 20 year old Kundai, whose phone is swiftly switched off soon after the ZimEye journalist has introduced himself.
“How are you Kundai? I am looking for Susan,” our reporter asks, to which she replies by demanding to know,
“Who is calling?”
The call is terminated upon announcement of ZimEye.
Afterwards, another local Australian Correspondent tasked by ZimEye tries her luck, only to report back saying that the phones are ringing but none of the two, (mother and young sister) are picking up.
So was Susan Mutami killed? If anything happened to her at least her brother, still to be contacted, would have notified the world, a source tells ZimEye.
To somewhat confirm this, an intelligence agent provides possibly the clearest detail on Susan Mutami’s whereabouts. “The last time I spoke with her she told me that she is now changing her number because she has to avoid people,” they tell ZimEye. ZimEye was still to be given Susan’s “new phone numbers,” at the time of writing as promised.
So what really happened to this whistleblower who also says she is an anti terorism expert and who was going to make announcements at the UN General Assembly in September exposing her former boss and one time “boyfriend”?
Something happened to her which is more than money, a state agent tells ZimEye. The whole sequel begins in 2020, when Mutami got pregnant twice in a year to 2 different men, amid a long string of others in the same 12 month period.
She would also in the same year threaten to ‘rape’ Simba Chikanza’s own father (94) during interviews.
The below is a trail of event twists that involved high profile ministers caught between two scandals, one on the sale of stands, and one of trappings using Susan who was self proclaiming to be an anti-terrorism expert.
It was all triggered when earlier in the year, the Special Anti Corruption Unit head, Thabani Mpofu was close to arresting Local Govt Minister, July Moyo over the alleged sale of stands in Harare, Kwekwe and Gweru for his own benefit.
There were several beneficiaries listed on this reported scandal who are in the ministry of Justice; so to hide this, a quick plan was hatched to get Mpofu fired.
Owen Ncube
Mpofu, who leads the controversial taskforce, was swiftly accused of authoring letters for MDC Alliance Vice President Tendai Biti advising the opposition icon on ways of navigating through the justice system.
Close sources allege that, when this was about to happen, the Norton MP Temba Mliswa went over to president, Emmerson Mnangagwa to advise him to ignore the calls to fire Mpofu; doing this in order to settle scores with the enemy of an enemy (Mliswa had heard that Thabani Mpofu had been set up by July Moyo, Owen Ncube, and Virginia Mabhiza). Mliswa has had several bones to chew with Thabani Mpofu. Mliswa reasoned with Mnangagwa saying: how could Thabani Mpofu author letters for MDC Deputy President Tendai Biti in this age and time when he could simply pick a phone call.
Parallel to all this, Temba Mliswa was the subject of an ongoing probe in which he was entangled with ex girlfriend, Susan.
Facts became clear mid February that, Susan Mutami, the centre of the axis, was used to incriminate Mliswa.
Mutami is an enigma. She claims she bedded the late SB Moyo, Killer Zivhu, Temba Mliswa. She even openly announces saying she has bedded Emmerson Mnangagwa.
She says she has Mliswa’s twins, while at the same time naming her son after his arch enemy, Owen Ncube.
5 LOVERS, 2 PREGNANCIES TO 2 DIFFERENT MEN, ALL IN ONE YEAR
–
In 2020 alone, she dated at least four High profile men who include the Foreign Affairs Minister SB Moyo, one after the other:

Polite Kambamura, the Mining Deputy Minister (they were engaged). Walter Chikwana, Secretary for the Judicial Commission (they had a civil partnership in 2020), and ZANU PF MP, Hon Kenneth Musanhi (see pictures).
Furthermore, an affidavit seen by ZimEye states in addition that she was already pregnant way before bedding Mliswa in 2020
–
The affidavit, certified by the Judicial Services Commission (JSC), shows that as at around March 2020, she was still engaged to another man, who works inside the JSC, Mr Walter Chikwana.
–
The man was reached for a comment but wouldn’t speak or respond to questions.
The affidavit states that Mutami was carrying a pregnancy to another man at the end of March 2020. In the affidavit, her boyfriend, Mr Chikwana says:
+
‘ I am Susan Vivian Mutami’s partner and in case of emergency I can be contacted on the above mentioned address or on my mobile number, +263772***********”
–
He then goes on to say he is the legal guardian of SB Moyo’s Child (full name redacted-in accordance with the Children’s Act on the paper).
–
” I am also the legal guardian of (name withheld), and our unborn child as of date. Attached hereto is a copy of my identification.”
–
The affidavit was signed on the 24th March 2020.
Affidavit
The development puts burden on Mutami to explain the timing drama surrounding her two pregnancies (to different men) which are within months of each other.
–
She also says that she is the holder of two Australian degrees of which she has none, and also makes false claims that she is the winner of Australia’s CEO awards. During interviews with Mutami, ZimEye reveals how that her claims to university courses are baseless.
VIDEO LOADING BELOW
Asked to state which universities issued her 2 degrees, Susan Mutami says: the @AusEmbZim performed all verification checks. She says: "There is no way a whole embassy would just leave and accompany me to go and donate, and hand out donations without doing proper checks on me…" pic.twitter.com/deBmXUv4St
She is also put to task on her CEO Awards claim, and it is revealed that she was only a passerby at the function who posed in front of a camera holding someone else’s award. (SEE RGM INTERVIEW BELOW)
Her ex lover, Mliswa has maintained his allegations that he was set up by the Central Intelligence Organisation in order to incriminate him using Susan Mutami.
After all this, she is stopped while trying to leave the country, and then she is put under the custody of the Central Intelligence Organisation. Mutami is held for possessing details on the attempted assassination of the president and killing of three aides at the White City Stadium, then she is whisked out by two powerful ministers who have close links to the president, July Moyo (local governments), Owen Mudha Ncube, minister of state security. After being whisked out without knowledge of the mother body of the CIO, she then starts to attack to the Director General of the CIO, who she claims she once dated, then threatening to release secret information on the cabinet, Politburo and a number of other official secrets, while on the same tweet, absolving the two ministers, July Moyo and Owen Mudha Ncube.
At this time, July Moyo is under investigations for parceling out land, a case being probed by Thabani Mpofu’s SACU organisation.
July Moyo is very close to permanent Secretary Mrs Virginia Mabhiza and Kumbirai Hodzi, the prosecutor General. At the same time, Thabani Mpofu’s SACU is having clashes with the Prosecutor General. There was a collusion between the Prosecutor Gen and July Moyo to get Thabani Mpofu fired. The PG and July Moyo then approached the president Emmerson Mnangagwa to pass allegations that Thabani Mpofu has advised Biti.
The event trail is as follows:
Thabani Mpofu is accused of writing WhatsApp letters to MDC Alliance MP Tendai Biti giving him advice on how to return to parliament, and this makes the president very angry. At this time, Mnangagwa has also been told by Perm Sec Virginia Mabhiza, and Prosecutor Gen Kumbirai Hodzi, to ignore the request to arrest Minister July Moyo on land fraud.
Mnangagwa then summons Thabani Mpofu to State House where he is dressed down. It is reported that Mpofu has been fired. ZimEye contacts Mpofu who tells this news network, it’s not true at all. Are you my employer?, Mpofu fires a question while answering to the report.
Soon afterwards, Temba Mliswa who is naturally against Mpofu, comes to the rescue of Mpofu to tell the President that Mpofu has been set up. Thabani Mpofu also gets support of the CIO DG Isaac Moyo. This angers July Moyo who together with Owen Ncube sponsor Susan Mutami to tweet ‘some dirt’ on Isaac Moyo while absolving July Moyo and Owen Ncube publicly, on the Twitter website.
State security sources report saying Mutami was whisked out of Zimbabwe through the Beitbridge Border post. ZimEye requests paperwork to confirm that the escape was truly through that border post. No date is provided, but by end of April 2021, she is now safely in Australia.
Both Owen Ncube and July Moyo are contacted for a comment, and their phones are put down soon after hearing the interview questions.
Responding to the state security reports, Mliswa denies ever approaching Mnangagwa to assist Mpofu. He tells ZimEye: “Mpofu, Matanga, Mudha, July Moto, and Ziyambi Ziyambi are all one and the same, working hand-in-hand.”
It surfaces that Mutami is an agent of July Moyo and his team to settle their matters with Director General, Isaac Moyo. Thabani Mpofu then suddenly comes out the victim of the two warning camps.
By this time, the development has raised questions on how safe Zimbabweans are when ministers and two officials are using a woman to settle their personal scores. Is Zimbabwe is being run by people controlled by bottom power, or is it that Susan Mutami has some ability to capture all these people, or she is so dazzling to control the nation’s top government officials?
The following year 2022, at a time when there are many questions still to be answered by Susan such as: where is the proof of your degrees in counter terrorism? Where are Mliswa twins you said you gave birth?, Why do you seem skipping from one high profile man to the other?, where is the proof of your nursing degree? Why on earth did you threaten to rape Simba Chikanza’s father?, Where is the proof that you are a famous person who won the Australian CEO awards?, Susan Mutami bounces out to announce that she was raped by Emmerson Mnangagwa.
During her tweets, she also accuses the mother if 5, Marry Chiwenga, saying she (contrary to clear video evidence) attempted to kill her husband the Vice President, allegations that would get Marry amputated after being denied her passport for a medical travels.
She also accuses her former lover, Mliswa of raping a minor who eventually died from an abortion.
On her widely attended Twitter space, Susan Mutami accuses journalists who have asked her these pertinent questions of being state agents, going to the point of claiming Simba Chikanza whose father she threatened to assault, was paid by the military intelligence.
She then promises to fly to the UN General Assembly to expose Mnangagwa and connect with the masses over her allegations.
The whole nation starts to expect her to dress down the 80 year old ZANU PF leader in front of the world. ZimEye maintains its caution stating that Mutami cannot be genuine, and the Queensland Police where she claimed she has registered a police case have announced that the number she publicised is not even a police case reference.
Her Twitter account stops posting by the end of August 2022 and in the whole of September, there is not a mention of Mutami at the UN General Assembly.
By Dec 2022, Susan Mutami has gotten Marry Chiwenga amputated and on another hand, dashed the hopes of millions of abused children whose rape cases are likely to be doubted now when they make reports.
Between being silenced and just going silent on her own, what has happened to Susan Mutami?
When Mpilo Central Hospital’s Ward B6 Sister-in-Charge, Ms Fathima Maheya felt a slight headache and flu symptoms for six consecutive days, she thought it was something that would eventually vanish. But it persisted and intensified leading to her decision to go for a Covid-19 test.
She tested positive, together with five workmates in the same week, forcing them into isolation at home. Sister Maheya only returned to work yesterday and told Chronicle that Covid-19 is still wreaking havoc, hence more people should get vaccinated.
Government launched a vaccination blitz on December 1 to ensure that the virus remains under control as the country heads into the festive season.
Sister Maheya said she was first attacked by Covid-19 in December last year and recovered. This time around, it was not as severe as she had been vaccinated, underlining the need for people to heed Government’s advice on vaccination.
She said strict measures, especially the mandatory mask for everyone, must be brought back.
“I thought it was an ordinary headache and some flu, but when the flu got worse, it added on to the general body weakness. It kicked in that this might be Covid-19 as it felt the same way as it was last time. I tested positive,” she said.
“This time around it was painful, the headache, the flu and I was very weak. I went for isolation at home and not even my family members got the virus as they came out negative even after my quarantine. As severe as it was, it never amounted to the criticality of the previous year. That time I thought I was dying. I could not feel any body part, I was weak, I was numb, the head was throbbing. The condition was just so bad.”
Sister Maheya said she believes that she did not catch the virus at work, but at shops or kombis or any other public gathering that she may have attended. She is just not sure.
“I think I got it in a kombi or at shops because here at work we still mask up. We are health workers who know that the disease is still here and it is deadly.
However, people out there are gallivanting as if Covid is gone, which will make it regain some punch and kill us,” said Sister Maheya.
Bulawayo provincial medical director, Dr Maphios Siamuchembu said people should accept that the virus is now a part of life and encouraged everyone above the age of 12 years to be fully vaccinated.
He said on December 1, Bulawayo joined the ongoing vaccination blitz because Covid-19 is still a threat.
Dr Siamuchembu said the province still gets new infections, with the recent highest figure being that of last Friday when five new infections were recorded.
He said vaccination is ongoing at all council clinics and central hospitals, as well as other private clinics free of charge.
“By end of Wednesday last week, a total of 65,5 percent of the eligible population in Bulawayo had been vaccinated with the first dose, 55,7 second dose and 13,5 got their booster jab – the third dose. The percentages are still low. We wish to get to 60 percent for the second dose and if possible 80 percent for the first dose. Therefore, more people should get vaccinated for their own good,” said Dr Siamuchembu.
Speaking at a Post-Cabinet briefing recently, Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere, who was the acting Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, revealed that ministers will be dispatched to various provinces in the country in a bid to boost Covid-19 vaccination figures, as Government works on ensuring that the pandemic remains under control.
As of 27 November 2022, a total of 6 569 603 first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine had been administered, while 4 937 735 people had received their second dose, and 1 239 453 their third dose.
Ahead of the festive season, Cabinet last week resolved to strengthen enforcement and adherence to World Health Organisation Covid-19 protocols, strengthen genomic sequencing to quickly identify any imported new variants and introduce an electronic vaccination register to enable easy identification and follow up of those yet to receive second and third doses.- state media
Pegging school fees in foreign currency is allowed but parents and guardians retain the right to pay fees in the currency of their choice at the prevailing official exchange rate, Government has clarified.
Parents with free funds are allowed to pay in foreign currency if they wish but those without ready access to the same should not be compelled to pay in hard currencies.
This means the Government has not changed its policy regarding the payment of school fees, contrary to reports in some of the media that schools were now being allowed to charge fees exclusively in foreign currency.
Authorities moved to clear the air after some school heads started demanding the payment of school fees exclusively in foreign currency in defiance of regulations.
Investigation teams have already been deployed around the country to hold to account errant school authorities charging fees in exclusively foreign currency.
“All institutions providing primary and secondary education are reminded that they fall under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
“Therefore, they are bound by the procedures to be followed when making school fees adjustments, that is to say approval must be granted by the ministry before any adjustments are made.
“On paying fees in foreign currency, the Government policy position is that fees must be paid in Zimbabwean dollars at the prevailing interbank rate,” said the ministry’s spokesperson Mr Taungana Ndoro.
“However, if parents have free funds in foreign currency, they can pay but no school must force any parent to pay in foreign currency and if schools have pegged fees in foreign currency, parents must be allowed to pay in local currency at the prevailing interbank rate of the day the fees are paid.”
Government has already said it will not accept anarchy over unjustifiable school fees hikes, ordering schools to follow the correct procedures which involve the consent of parents for those intending to charge more.
For any fee hike proposal to be considered by Government, schools are required to convene a meeting with parents who constitute a 20 percent quorum and submit the minutes of the meeting with sound justification for the suggested increase.
However, the system at times does not benefit some parents who do not attend the meetings. Failure to attend such meetings will be taken as consent to what others would have agreed.
Government has a Basic Education Assistance Module (BEAM) introduced in 2001 to cater for those who are unable to pay fees, as part of the vision to ensure every child has access to education.
BEAM are pro-poor funds that are meant for marginalised and vulnerable communities. They provide school fees, examination fees, levies and building assistance.
Some parents who spoke to Our Harare Bureau commended Government for clarifying the position which was misrepresented by some school heads.
“It is unfortunate that this position (of paying in a currency of one’s choice) is misrepresented. I think schools doing that should be held accountable,” said Mrs Clara Gondo.
“I am happy that it has been clarified because some schools were already asking for exclusive US dollar payments which is wrong,’’ said Mrs Ester Sedze.
Meanwhile, school heads have been warned that seeking bribes from parents to give learners a place to pursue their education at a school of their choice is a criminal and punishable offence.
“It is also not allowed to force parents to buy school uniforms from designated shops or at schools. This is deemed to be an act of misconduct and those doing so will face the full wrath of the law,” said the Government.
In earlier interviews, both primary and secondary school heads associations condemned the malpractices which they said tarnished the image of their revered profession.
Some headmasters, particularly at public schools, have reportedly been demanding bribes from desperate parents to enrol their children or those seeking transfers.
“I cannot say if it is happening or not but if anyone is taking bribes that is wrong, illegal and has to be stopped with immediate effect,” said National Association of Primary Heads (Naph) president Mrs Cynthia Khumalo.
National Association of Secondary Heads (Nash) president Mr Arthur Maphosa condemned school heads taking bribes and implored law enforcement agents to initiate legal proceedings. -state media
By- The police have arrested Zimdancehall music producer, Tafadzwa Kadzimwe, A.K.A, Levels.
According to NewZimbabwe.com, the Chill Spot Records co-founder was arrested Monday on allegations of raping his ex-girlfriend Ashleigh Shashl Moyo.

Levels, was Monday afternoon detained at Borrowdale police station.
Shashl told the police that she was raped when they were not yet in a relationship. She said they were working together in music at Chillspot Records in Mbare. Reads a police report seen by Pindula News:
On an unknown date in July 2021, the accused was reported to have asked the complainant to pass through his place of residence to take his car since they were using the complainant’s car and they were coming from the studio.
When they were at the accused’s place, they got inside the house and, while inside the house, they started kissing, at the same time the accused pushed the complainant into his bedroom.
The complainant stopped kissing and informed the accused that she wanted to get home before curfew time.
When the complainant was about to leave the bedroom, the accused grabbed the complainant and raped her.
After the act, the complainant ran away from the scene and went home.
The matter came to light when the accused person posted some nude videos and pictures of him and the complainant on social media.
The complainant said the reason for sending the nudes and sex tape was because they broke up and this did not go down well with the accused person.
Shashl reported Levels after their bedroom video was leaked to the public last week. Levels who is alleged to have been on the run claims that his phone was stolen and the thieves leaked the videos.

Scores of traders housed at S. Nyahokwe Shopping Mall at the corner First Street and George Silundika Avenue in Harare’s central business district were left counting losses after goods worth thousands of dollars were burnt to ashes in a fire accident, suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault.
The Fire Brigade was at the scene to extinguish the flame, but most of the wares in the partitioned First Floor of the mall were already burnt.
Speaking to the state nedia following the incident, Mrs Sipiwe Zvinavashe, an administrator at S. Nyahokwe Mall, said the Fire Brigade stopped further damage by quickly reacting to the incident.
“The fire started early this morning, but we do not know how much we have lost so far,” she said. “We do have insurance cover, so we will soon engage the insurance company and figure out how they can assist us.”
The affected traders started evacuating the First Floor, which was the most affected and badly damaged.
One of the traders, Tanaka Mbiringa, said: “I am devastated after we lost clothes that we were selling. This fire came at a time we were looking forward to making more sales during this festive season.
“Though the Fire Brigade came in fairly quick time, the damage had been done.”
Speaking to The Herald at the scene, City of Harare Fire Brigade assistant divisional officer, Mr Philip Marufu said they managed to contain the fire before it spread to other shops.
“We have managed to put the fire under control,” he said. “Several shops on the first floor suffered extensive damage, but we are still examining the extent of the damage.”–state media
Those convicted of rap_e or aggravated indecent assault will soon face minimum mandatory 15-year jail terms under proposed amendments to the criminal code set to be enacted to arrest the rising number of s_əxual assault cases.
A s_əx offenders’ register is also being considered.
Cabinet has approved amendments to the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act to introduce stiff penalties for perpetrators of s_əxual violence.
Rapi_sts will be sentenced to life imprisonment or “any definite period of imprisonment of not less than 15 years”.
Presently, the criminal code does not provide for a mandatory sentence for rap_e or aggravated indecent assault, which is defined as the s_əxual penetration of a victim, including men, without consent.
Official data shows an average 22 women filed rap_e cases daily between January 2020 and December 2021.
Police also claim more than 16 000 cases of rap_e were reported in the two years to December 2021, with 7 377 and 8 715 women reporting in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
The Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act considers performing s_əxual or ana_l interc0urse with a female person without her consent as rap_e.
As part of the ongoing reform programme, the authorities are considering raising the statute of limitations — the time limit for filing charges against an alleged offender — for s_əxual offences to 40 years.
Section 23 of the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Act presently sets the prescriptive period for reporting offences such as rape at 20 years.
Plans are underway to set up a s_əx offenders’ register to monitor and control ex-convicts upon release from prison.
The Legal Aid Directorate in the Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs is being capacitated to provide free legal representation to those accused of rape and other offences to guard against substantial legal injustices such as wrongful convictions.
“Section 65 (“Rape”) (4) of the principal Act is amended by the repeal of paragraph (b) and the substitution of – (b) he knows that she has not consented to it or realises that there is a real risk or possibility that she may not have consented to it; shall be guilty of rap_e and liable to – if the crime was committed in aggravating circumstances, to life imprisonment or any definite period of imprisonment of not less than fifteen years; or if there are no aggravating circumstances, to life imprisonment or imprisonment for a period of not more than 15 years,” reads the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Bill exclusively obtained by The Sunday Mail.
Section 66 of the same Act will also be amended to provide for a 15-year mandatory sentence for aggravated indecent assault.
“For the avoidance of doubt if — the crime was committed in aggravating circumstances as described in Section 65 (2), the convicted person shall be sentenced to life imprisonment or any definite period of imprisonment of not less than fifteen years; or there are no aggravating circumstances, to life imprisonment or imprisonment for a period of not more than 15 years,” it adds.
In coming up with the new penalties, the authorities initially considered much stiffer mandatory penalties of up to 60 years but settled on a mandatory sentence less severe than those imposed on murderers.
In a ministerial statement to Parliament earlier this year, Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi said a less severe penalty would deter the rapist from murdering their victim.
“The ministry acknowledges that the sentence for rape and s_əxual offences must fully reflect the depravity and seriousness of the crime,” said Minister Ziyambi.
“The idea of mandatory minimum sentences is to punish the offender sufficiently before they are brought back into mainstream society.”
Mandatory sentences, he added, were supposed to deter criminals and repeat offenders.
“The level of such a mandatory sentence must not, however, be the same as the mandatory sentence for murder in aggravating circumstances because the rap_ist might then be motivated to murder his victim after he has rap_ed her.”
Welcome
The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health and Child Care chairperson, Dr Ruth Labode, welcomed the proposed amendments.
“It is a welcome move, but we need to ensure that girls can access contraceptives, and we must not allow a nine-year-old to carry a preg_nancy to full term. Such preg_nancies must be terminated,” she said.
The Padare/Enkundleni Men’s Forum acting director (programmes development and fundraising manager), Dr Thando Makubaza, said deterrent penalties will send a clear message to would-be offenders.
“As Padare, we have zero tolerance for rap_ists. We do not believe that a rapist is a person who deserves forgiveness or a light sentence,” said Dr Makubaza.
“Right now, rap_ists are getting lighter sentences compared to those convicted of stock theft, and that is why you see cases of rape escalating.
“People are just doing what they want because the law is not stiff.
“There is nothing to scare people from committing this crime,” she said.
“The mandatory sentence should actually start from 20 years to life so that people can think twice before committing the crime.”
Once the Bill is passed into law, Zimbabwe will join several other African countries that prescribe mandatory sentences for rape.
In South Africa, the Criminal Law Amendment Act provides for a 10-year mandatory sentence for first offenders, 15 years for repeat offenders and 20 years for committing the crime for the third time.
In Lesotho, the S_əxual Offenders Act provides for a minimum sentence of 10 years in jail for s_əxual offences against a child, commercial s_əxual exploitation and s_əxual offences against disabled persons committed by a person aged above 18 years.
Kenyan law has a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years imprisonment for rap_e and five years for attempted rap_e.

Citizens in Namibia Rundu Branch celebrate their end-of-the-year party under the theme:Register to vote for change in 2023!
03 December 2023
All change champions who subscribe to the national democratic project championed by the pragmatic ‘Mukomana’ converged at Sarasungu River Lodge on Saturday as a way of reflecting on the work they have undertaken throughout the political season of 2022. The organic branch took an opportunity to remind its legion of followers to go to Zimbabwe and register to vote for the change that delivers in 2023.
It was unanimously agreed that voting is part of independence hence the dire need to embrace participatory democracy through serious participation in the simmering political and social issues in Zimbabwe. The branch interim executive encouraged their dear members to vote for quality services in the dilapidated health fraternity among other economic problems facing our country at the hands of ZANU-PF, a political party that has caused untold suffering to the innocent citizens in the motherland.
The branch reiterated that voting for change is the only panacea to the socio-economic and political liberation of Zimbabwe. Change champions were also motivated to continue offering solidarity with rural constituencies ahead of the watershed elections in 2023. It is now imperative to support the party morally , materially, and financially. The branch was applauded for its consistent support to finance the impending harmonised elections. Thanks to all the change champions who made it to the appreciation gathering.
On another note, the branch took a swipe at the incessant politically motivated violence against party members in Masvingo, Gutu Mpandawana, Binga only to mention but a few. This must be condemned absolutely! We demand free, fair, credible, and unfettered elections in Zimbabwe. ZANU-PF-sponsored violence should be resisted with equal measure. Rundu Branch and its fellow party members across the globe to be vigilant and stay ready to defend themselves against this violent and satanic party.
Moreover, the organic branch demands an abrupt end to the state-sponsored incarceration of Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala and Felix Biri who continue to languish at Chikurubi Maximum Prison for demanding justice for Moreblessing Ali. We are calling on all human rights defenders to amplify their voices by advocating for the immediate release of Hon Job who saw his bail application denied for the 10th time. It is not a crime to defend vulnerable members of society.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice and Olivier Giroud became France’s all-time record goalscorer as they knocked Poland out of the World Cup Round of 16.
Giroud’s opener before halftime swung the game France’s way after they had struggled to make their mark against a limited but tough Polish side. The AC Milan striker clipped a shot from close range past Wojciech Szczesny to move beyond Thierry Henry in the all-time Les Bleus list, with his 52nd goal for his country.
Giroud was involved in Mbappe’s first goal, as France broke out from the back, the PSG star slamming a shot high past Szczesny. His second was even better, shifting the ball from left to right before curling a shot high into the opposite corner, despite the Poland goalkeeper getting a finger to it.

England booked a place in the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup and a meeting with world champions France thanks to three superb goals that saw off Senegal.
Jordan Henderson’s opener, where he converted a Jude Bellingham cross, set England on their way after a tricky spell during which Ismaila Sarr missed a glorious chance from close range.
Harry Kane followed that up with fierce shot before half-time that saw England’s skipper, and the 2018 Golden Boot winner, get off the mark in Qatar.
Another slick move led to the third, with Phil Foden looking up from the left flank to pick out Bukayo Saka inside the area to make it 3-0.
England were comfortable once Henderson’s goal had settled them down, and now Gareth Southgate’s men head into the last eight as top scorers for the tournament with a mouth-watering clash ahead of them.- The Sporting News

Public Protector of South Africa’s inquiry relates to findings that large sums of foreign currency were hidden at Ramaphosa’s private game farm. He failed to report a robbery at his farm, leading to the money being stolen in February 2020.
Ramaphosa has denied wrongdoing and has not been charged with any crimes. He has said the money stolen was the proceeds of the sale of buffaloes and far less than the millions of dollars alleged when the theft came to light in June.
Ramaphosa briefly attended the meeting of the African National Congress National Executive Committee (NEC) and asked to be excused.
Party leaders and supporters of Ramaphosa clad in the colours of the ANC party attended the meeting Monday.
