Tips For Prevention Of Road Accidents

WHO is kicking off the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 today in Geneva, with the ambitious target of preventing at least 50% of road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030. WHO and the UN regional commissions, in cooperation with other partners in the UN Road Safety Collaboration, have developed a Global Plan for the Decade of Action, which is released today.

Globally, over 3500 people die every day on the roads, which amounts to nearly 1.3 million preventable deaths and an estimated 50 million injuries each year – making it the leading killer of children and young people worldwide. As things stand, they are set to cause a further estimated 13 million deaths and 500 million injuries during the next decade, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. These unacceptable numbers, both in absolute and relative terms. Road traffic crashes have remained a major cause of death globally, even though every one of those deaths and injuries is preventable.

“The loss of lives and livelihoods, the disabilities caused, the grief and pain, and the financial costs caused by road traffic crashes add up to an intolerable toll on families, communities, societies and health systems,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, “So much of this suffering is preventable, by making roads and vehicles safer, and by promoting safe walking, cycling and greater use of public transport. The Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety lays out the practical, evidence-based steps all countries and communities can take to save lives.”

Recognizing the importance of the problem and the need to act, governments from around the world declared unanimously – through UN General Assembly Resolution 74/299 – the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 with the explicit target to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries by at least 50% during that period.

“One of the best ways to save and improve lives is to make our streets safer — but that work often doesn’t get the attention it deserves,” said Michael R. Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies and WHO Global Ambassador for Noncommunicable Diseases and Injuries. “Bloomberg Philanthropies has been working to improve road safety since 2007 by strengthening laws, increasing enforcement, redesigning streets, and using data. I’m glad to say that the WHO’s ambitious global plan for road safety includes many of the strategies that we’ve used to save lives, and it will help encourage governments around the world to make road safety the high priority it should be.”

This Global Plan describes the actions needed to achieve that target. This includes accelerated action to make walking, cycling and using public transport safe, as they are also healthier and greener modes of transport; to ensure safe roads, vehicles and behaviours; and to guarantee timely and effective emergency care. It is aimed to inspire countries, including governments and partners to act boldly and decisively, using the tools and knowledge gained from the last Decade of Action to change course.

“More than 50 million people have died on the world’s roads since the invention of the automobile. This is more than the number of deaths in World War One or some of the worst epidemics.” says Dr Etienne Krug, the Director of the Department of the Social Determinants of Health. “It is time to put in action what we know works and shift to a much safer and healthier mode of transport. This new plan will lead countries onto a more sustainable path.”

The Global Plan outlines recommended actions drawn from proven and effective interventions, as well as best practices for preventing road trauma. It should be used as a blueprint to inform and inspire national and local plans that are tailored to local contexts, available resources and capacity. The Global Plan is aimed not only at senior policy-makers, but also other stakeholders who can influence road safety, such as civil society, academia, the private sector and community and youth leaders.

Musengezi Tears Mnangagwa Apart

Tinashe Sambiri|Zanu PF man Sybeth Musengezi has described Emmerson Mnangagwa as a blundering politician who does not care at all about the welfare of Zimbabweans.

According to Musengezi, Mnangagwa is a typical political hypocrite.

Musengezi is challenging Mnangagwa’s controversial appointment as party president by the Zanu PF Central Committee.

See his argument :
If a leader is chosen by the people, he/she will surely serve the interests of the povo.. BUT an imposed leader will only serve the interests of his/her appointing masters & friends. Mufudzi akakokwa anodyisa makwai nemapere pakumanikidzwa ASI mufudzi akanaka anofira makwai ake.

After removing Cde Mugabe in 2017, if
@edmnangagwa
had sound advisors he wouldn’t have missed a clear penalty to become Zim’s biblical Joshua. Hunger for power took over and he became associated with political and business thugs, something Zimbabweans who ‘marched’ never expected.

After the disputed & controversial 2018 elections, instead of
@edmnangagwa
creating a gathering of snakes (Polad), he should have brotherly and genuinely sat down with
@nelsonchamisa
. If these two had found common ground, Zim would by now be somewhere up there. 2nd Penalty missed

Now we hear the same Sanctions rhetoric as the cause of our problems when we openly have a clique of thugs who’re busy milking the country and looting our resources. We choose to ignore that corruption, policy inconsistency, abuse of property & human rights also cause suffering.

MEANWHILE, as the young people of Zimbabwe and other progressive minds; we are DEMANDING that Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa
@edmnangagwa
and your crew immediately fix this nosediving economy so that you can leave offices with dignity.

We want a stable economy, functional healthcare & educational institutions, jobs, decent pensions for our elders, decent salaries for our civil servants among other constitutional rights…. Not this monkey business! We want an END to corruption and abuse of state institutions.

POLAD Is Part Of Zim Political Crisis- President Chamisa

Tinashe Sambiri| MDC Alliance leader President Nelson Chamisa says POLAD does not have the capacity to resolve the country’s political impasse.

President Chamisa, quoted by The Standard, ruled out joining POLAD.

Genuine dialogue is the only solution to the country’s deepening political turmoil, according to the MDC Alliance leder.

“That (Polad) is part of the problem.

You cannot try to score cheap political points like that.

The only solution is dialogue and you cannot run away from it.

We can run away from it now, in five years or in 10 years but it is the solution that can build our country. It is time to take back our beloved country.

Nobody is in charge. We only have poverty in charge and suffering.

We can’t allow that. There is hurt and violence all over and we need a humane government,” President Chamisa told the publication.

On Saturday he tweeted:
TOTAL CHANGE..We must turn things around. We just don’t have the luxury to be general. We can’t just be ordinary. To whom much is given much is expected. Good to go and Ready. I will not disappoint! Happy sabbath

Killer Zivhu Declares Allegiance To Zanu PF

Former Chivi West legislator Killer Zivhu has continued to sing for his supper by declaring his allegiance to Zanu-PF, despite numerous failed efforts to bounce back in the ruling party.

Zivhu was expelled in June last year for trying to forge talks between Zanu-PF and Nelson Chamisa using the first lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and Chamisa’s wife.

However, he has vowed not to contest as an independent candidate in the upcoming by-elections and pledged to support President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030.

“For this coming by-election, I can’t stand against the party that looked after me from 1994. I am very sorry to disappoint so many people but as of development, we will continue complimenting the President’s Vision 2030,” Zivhu said.

He added that he will wait for his readmission into the party citing that he is a loyal son to the ruling party.

“I am a son to Zanu-PF, you can’t change your surname just because the father has chased you away. You must wait and see why he did that then come back at the right time. I am still young, and I hope to bounce back and contest in the same party,” Zivhu said.

He however promised to help the party’s preferred candidate to campaign ahead of the by-elections.

Zivhu was Chivi Rural District Council (RDC) council chairperson before he contested and won the Chivi South constituency.

The former legislator fell out of favour after factional fights with Zanu-PF provincial chairperson Ezra Chadzamira’s camp that also recommended his expulsion.

#BREAKING- Simon Khaya Moyo Dies

Profile

Simon Khaya Moyo is a politician and spokesperson of Zanu-PF and the former Minister of Energy and Power Development. He is a former ambassador of Zimbabwe to South Africa from 2007 to 2011. He was Former Media, Information and Broadcasting Services Minister.

Born on the 1st of October 1945, Khaya Moyo was enrolled at Fletcher Secondary School up to 1965.

Moyo was married to Sibonokhuhle and the couple divorced in 2013. They have two sons Khanyisa and Mandlenkosi. He then married a Bulawayo businesswoman Margaret Mhambi in 2013.

Political career

Khaya-Moyo joined the nationalist movement in 1968 as a member of the Zimbabwe African People’s Union(ZAPU). He left the country in 1968 heading to Zambia. Whilst in Zambia, senior officials of ZAPU agreed to send Khaya-Moyo to school.

He was enrolled at the University of Zambia and in 1969 he graduated with a diploma in Social Sciences.[2] He received military training in Russia and Cuba and he attended the Malt, Geneva and Lancaster Conference which resulted in the Lancaster House Agreement together with Joshua Nkomo.

After 1980, he became an assistant secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and in 1983, he was appointed to be an undersecretary in the Ministry of Justice. In 1989, he was elected to be a member of the ZANU PF’s Central Committee.

In March 1990, he became the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bulilima Mangwe South constituency. Two years later, he became the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce.

In September 1994, he was appointed to be the Deputy Secretary for Administration in ZANU PF. Between July 1997 and July 2000, Khaya-Moyo was the Deputy Secretary for Legal Affairs in ZANU PF.

In 2007 he was appointed Zimbabwe‘s ambassador to South Africa, a post he held until 2011. He was in 2013 tipped to assume the role of the second Vice-President after the death of John Nkomo in that year.

He was appointed to be the Senior Minister in the President’s Office without a specific portfolio in 2013. This triggered political analysts to conclude that he was not going to be the next vice president.

He became one of the first ZANU PF officials to openly declare that there were factions in the party.[4] Moyo’s utterances and stance were neccessiated by the fact that the media revealed that there were two factions within the party.

One of the two factions was headed by Vice President Joice Mujuru who was sucked after the ZANU PF 6th National Conference that was held in December 2014 and the other byEmmerson Mnangagwa who was by then the Minister of Defence, who was appointed to replace Mujuru after the party’s congress..

Controversy

He divorced his wife Sibonokhuhle Getrude Ngwenya in 2013 accusing her of infidelity. The couple had been married for more than 30 years. He openly stated that there was no longer sexual intimacy between them because his wife was bedding another man. The couple had been married since 1980.

Major Successes

He adopted a 12-year old boy, Prime Ndlovu in Matobo village in 2013. He promised to cater his educational needs up to university level.

Bidding for the Vice Presidency

Khaya-Moyo’s bid for the presidency began as early as 2011 after the death of John Nkomo who was the then country’s vice president. According the the Unity Accord of 1987, the second vice president post in the ZANU PF government should be reserved for an senior ex-ZAPU cadre.

This has always been the tradition that was never broken as people like Joshua NkomoJoseph Msika and John Nkomo followed the hierarchy to be part of the presidium as vice presidents of the country.

Furthermore, Khaya-Moyo was also appointed to the position of national chairman of the ZANU PF party which seemed to be a step closer to the vice presidency post. This elevation raised hopes that Moyo was destined for the presidium. However, Khaya Moyo was smart enough not to publicly register his interest for the post

Bid Hits Brick wall

Moyo’s bid for a post in the presidium was resisted by some senior members of the Zimbabwe African People’s Union (ZAPU).

Retired General Ambrose Mutinhiri and Naison Kutshwekaya distanced themselves from a meeting held on 22 September in 2013 which is believed to have endorsed Moyo for the vice presidency post.[7] These two later on revealed that they did not support the move although they actually attended the meeting.

Factionalism Allegations

In a party infested with factionalism and divisive politics, Khaya Moyo was not left out in the accusations. He was accused of being one of the senior party members behind the Mujuru faction which was fronting for the elevation of vice president Joice Mujuru to become the country’s president. He was believed to be working together with the likes of Rugare GumboDidymus Mutasa and Amos Midzi campaigning for Mujuru.

In relation to this, some members of the Matebeleland South Provincial Co-coordinating Committee (PCC) saved Khaya-Moyo from losing his seat in the Central Committee. These members blocked a motion to veto Khaya-Moyo’s nomination in the committee.[8] Some disgruntled war veterans from Matebeleland South wanted Khaya-Moyo to be purged as they argued that he was dining with the enemy (Mujuru).

An unidentified executive member from Khaya-Moyo’s province stated that:

The cleansing of the party is on going. Ambassador Simon Khaya-Moyo is one of the most serious pretenders. He is one of the architects of factionalism. He also lies that he is the most senior surviving ex-member of ZAPU, yet he is not.

Notwithstanding this, in November 2014, Khaya-Moyo was appointed to be the ZANU PF party’s acting spokesperson at a politburo meeting held at the party headquarters in Harare. This was after the dismissal of Rugare Gumbo who was given a five year suspension on allegations of fanning factionalism in the party.

After the ZANU PF 6th National People’s Conference which was held in December which buttressed the demise of those who were perceived to be supporting Mujuru, Khaya-Moyo was amongst the few Mujuru allies who survived the chop.

It was allegedly reported that Khaya-Moyo together with Sydney Sekeramayi apologised to Mugabe who is believed to have pardoned them.[9] Khaya-Moyo was however demoted as he was appointed to be the party’s Secretary of Information and Publicity from his position of as National Chairman which was never filled. Khaya-Moyo’s demotion has been regarded as a form of punishment that was meted on him by the party, especially by Mugabe.

As the party’s Secretary for Information and Publicity

As the party’s new Secretary for Information and Publicity, Khaya-Moyo was criticised for not speaking out about the party’s stance after Mutasa issued out a press statement which was entitled Members of Zanu PF statement to the citizens of Zimbabwe. Khaya-Moyo revealed that he was to break the silence when he resumes his duty.

Appointment as Minister of Media, Information and Broadcasting Services

On 9 October 2017 the Predident of the ruling party Robert Mugabe reshuffled his cabinet and Simon Khaya Moyo was appointed as the Minister of Media, Information and Broadcasting services.

Lupane State University Investigated Over Se_xual Harrassment Allegations

By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC) has engaged the Higher and Tertiary Education ministry over allegations that female staffers at Lupane State University are being sexually harassed by some top executives at the institution.

ZGC chief executive officer Virginia Muwanigwa said the commission was seized with the matter after receiving a report from one female staffer.

“We indeed received the complaint,” Muwanigwa said.

“We made contact with the LSU and they responded to us.

“We are currently engaging the ministry of Higher Education.

“The Commission is seized with the issue of sexual harassment in the world of work.

“We are currently monitoring the legislative processes aimed at combating sexual harassment, the anti-sexual harassment law, the gender equality law and the domestication of International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention 190 on Violence and Harassment in the Workplace.

“The legislative processes were by and large triggered by our investigations on sexual harassment in other institutions.”

Last week, some women stormed the university campus protesting against the alleged abuses.

A top LSU official is accused of routinely abusing a string of women at the institution who included students and staff.

Sexual harassment is said to be rife at Zimbabwe’s tertiary institutions with lecturers accused of taking advantage of desperate students.

In most cases female students are reportedly forced to have sexual relationships with the lecturers in return for favourable marks for their assignments.

A 2015 baseline study by the Female Students Network Trust, a non-profit, membership-based organisation working with young women at tertiary institutions revealed that 97% of female students said they had experienced sexual harassment.

The survey was conducted at universities, polytechnics and teachers’ colleges where an overwhelming majority of students said they had experienced some sort of sexual harassment from lecturers and non-teaching staff.-standard

Kasukuwere Forming A New Alliance With Chamisa To Remove Mnangagwa, Won’t That Help?, War Vet Magwenzi Asks.

Saviour Kasukuwere

Last month, a UK based lawyer, Lloyd Msipa suggested that the MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa must invite exiled ZANU PF hardliners into a power sharing convergence, otherwise his movement will fall flat.

Msipa, who is a founding member of former minister Nkosana Moyo’s APPA party, said Chamisa must create a model that has a power sharing with former ZANU PF cadres.

Lloyd Msipa

As Zimbabwe readies for the 2023 polls, Msipa’s comments come after other G40 members called for the same.

Said Msipa, ” in the absence of a big tent approach that incorporates key former ZANU PF cadres ahead of 2023, the Citizen Convergence model will fall flat on its face.

“Penetrating rural electorate requires unity of purpose across political divide.

“It shouldn’t be so, but that is our reality!”

As former ZANU PF National Commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere prepares to enter politics, he has promised eight things he says he will address once Head Of State. They are:

I. Community empowerment,

2. Youth unemployment

3. Security of Land tenure

4. Reconciliation in the party

5. Doing away with polarization in the country 6. Security for every citizen

7. Minerals to benefit every citizen

8. Fighting CORRUPTION

The Tinashe Jonas Explosive Interview On ZimEye

The ZANU PF activist, Tinashe Jonas was Thursday night engaged in a debate in which he went face to face with the television whistleblower and Forensic Scientist, Shepherd Yuda.

Douglas Mwonzora with Tinashe Jonas

Free 3 years of numerous requests, Jonas (TJ) was finally welcomed into a news review session for the first time following scores of notorieties, including voice and picture morphings defaming journalists, and key national leaders.

The introduction by ZimEye’s Simba Chikanza (SC) went as follows-

SC: We’ve got a guest who comes on ZimEye for the first time in history, Tinashe Jonasi. Finally Sir you’re here.

TJ: Yes, I am here… I am excited, I’m breaking my ZimEye virginity.

SC: Okay, I was checking today, on my phone in my inbox, looking for your number and noticed you first contacted me in Feb 2018, I didn’t reply, didn’t pick up your calls. But then today I decided, let me just speak and let’s just let Mr Tinashe Jonasi understand that I am not an enemy of the state as you have painted me.

TJ: LAUGH

SC: You have painted me as an enemy of the country, you have called me that, you have called me every name under heaven.

TJ: Yeah, that’s true, so it came as shocker when you called me. I just thought it is one of your gimmicks because you’re good also, Hollywood stunts…

Mnangagwa Didn’t Fight In Any War, Vets Reveal In Charged File Video

After studying law, he was also recruited by Robert Mugabe, to replace those who were fighting the war…

Emmerson Mnangagwa
https://twitter.com/ZimEye/status/1384142777663983618?s=19

By A Correspondent | A fearless female war vet announces in a 2019 press conference video that has gone viral saying:

Emmerson Mnangagwa didn’t fight in the liberation struggle, he was only handpicked by the late president Robert Mugabe to displace real fighters.

The development comes against the backdrop of claims by Mnangagwa that he was a crocodile gang member in the 1960s led by the late Cde William Ndangana, being found to be totally false and misleading.

Cde Karen Kazingizi speaks saying:

the press conference

So I want to know these comrades who go around cutting voters’ hands, to find out: are they real comrades, or they are Mugabe’s people he took from Ian Smith’s mercenaries? ….

The same people he now gives the war vet badge, which soils our image..

So that’s one other thing we are working on our identity. We are not trying to be these ugly people that the whole nation now thinks we are. Did you ever see us? They put this type of a picture in front of you, of a personality cult who you must worship. The Phillip Chiyangwa type we did not have them at all during the war, the Chiyangwas, they are the richest of them. Can you show me one comrade that you know who went into government in 1980, who was trained like us? Even those who were the seniors, like Muzenda where are they?

Emmerson Mnangagwa is one of them (a male journalist vet asks).

Comrade Emmerson came out of prison, according to the history I know; after coming out of prison, he went over to study law, isn’t it?

After studying law, he was also recruited by Robert Mugabe, to replace those who were fighting the war.

When the war finished, when Mugabe had ended the war, the people who had elected him to lead them from the Mgagao Declaration, he had chopped them all off, all of them the Gamatox and other factions without number. He kicked all of them out accusing them of betraying the struggle. You know, we don’t want to end up telling the truth, but I think the youth deserve to know the truth.

MPs Push For Informal Traders’ Support

By A Correspondent- Legislators are pushing for full support to be given to informal traders in the country through flexible banking terms.

Zimbabwe’s informal sector has grown tremendously due to de-industrialisation and job losses that ravaged the economy over the past decades.

The informal sector is now estimated to be constituting about 60% to gross domestic product, raising the need for authorities to come up with deliberate policies to formalise it to achieve economic development.

Legislator Mathias Tongofa, the chairperson of the parliamentary portfolio committee on youth told an informal sector workshop last week that government and the private sector must remove barriers and formalise the sector by providing market access.

“We cannot go outside the country to look for a market. It is more difficult to build a market in Mozambique when you cannot build a market here.

“Charity should begin at home.

“We can make sure there is a law that compels the private sector and government to buy from those small companies,” Tongofa said.

“If they have a problem of quality, there should be a deliberate effort to make sure the quality goes to the desired levels.

“That alone will make sure they formalise and will also make sure that they get money from banks and after that they can sell products to private companies and to government.

“Otherwise without connecting them to financial support and the local markets for a start (they will struggle to grow).”

Another legislator Elia Musakwa took a swipe at the country’s banking system that discourages informal traders from banking.

“We hear a lot of stories that informal traders have lost money at Mbare Musika and they would be carrying US$2 000.

“How do you explain to an informal trader to bank money where every month they are supposed to be charged a US$50 management fee?

“Already that US$50 is a livelihood to them,” Musakwa said.

“On top of that when they bank it as cash, 20% is already converted to RTGS at a ruling exchange rate and they are given Zimbabwe dollars. May be their profit was only 10%.

“When you take the 20% you are already taking the profit and part of the capital. So, they are broke before they go anywhere.

“I think the Ministry of Finance must explain how they expect people to bring money from their pillows to the bank.”

Legislator Edwin Mushoriwa highlighted that Zimbabwe needed to take a leaf from Rwanda where motor cycles used for public transport, commonly known as Boda Boda in that country, were formalised to contribute taxes to the economy.

The legislators’ contributions came at a time when the Zimbabwe Chamber of Informal Economy Associations has been pushing for an Informal Economy Bill to be adopted by Parliament.

The Informal Economy Bill seeks to create awareness among legislators and all government agencies about the role and importance of the informal economy in Zimbabwe and provide a proposed legal framework to the sector.

The draft Bill will lay the groundwork for creating an environment that respects and supports those in the informal economy, enabling them to have a livelihood and grow their businesses.-standard

Latest On Madawo, Chiangwa Factional Fight

By A Correspondent- There was an exchange of fire at the Apostolic Faith Mission church in Marlborough on Thursday night after security guards hired by a group led by Reverend Cossam Chiangwa attempted to forcibly take control of the premises from the Reverend Amon Madawo-led group.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, saying investigations are underway.

He said representatives of both church factions later made counter-reports to the police.

The Supreme Court recently upheld a High Court judgement which ruled against Chiangwa, in favour of Madawo, whom the courts recognise as the legitimate leader of the church.
Giving his church’s side of the story, board member in charge of security for Reverend Madawo’s camp, Reggies Nyandoro said:

I received a call from one of the security details at church advising me that there were armed men outside the gate.

They wanted him to open the gate so they could guard the church because Pastor Chiangwa had engaged them to do so.

I advised the guard to alert his Control Office and to call ZRP Marlborough.

He said after about 10 minutes the guard called him, advising that the armed men were now agitated and threatening to shoot him. Said Nyandoro:

I asked him to put me on speakerphone and spoke to one of the gun-wielding men. I asked him his name and he refused to divulge it.

He shouted that they had been engaged by Reverend Chiangwa to guard his church and that I should ask the guard to open the gate.

He continued to insist on getting the gate opened and I asked our guard to terminate the call. I later heard that they fired gunshots.

Contacted to give his side of the story on Saturday, Chiangwa referred questions to his deacon Thomas Gwatidzo who was at the scene of the incident. Gwatidzo said:

The matter is currently under police investigation, so I do not want to give too much information that could jeopardise investigations or give ammunition to the other party (Reverend Madawo’s group).

I think it is best to leave the matter in the hands of the police for now. All I can say is that this is a small matter.

No one was harmed. I think you also understand that it is legal to fire warning shots if one is under attack.

Gloves Off In Zanu Pf Over Leadership

By A Correspondent-Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is reportedly considering challenging President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the ZANU PF elective congress set for next year.

This is despite Chiwenga’s move last week to publicly state that Mnangagwa will be the uncontested ZANU PF candidate in the 2023 elections.

Meanwhile, Chiwenga’s top business executive ally Caleb Dengu, who has said Mnangagwa is illegitimate and must not run in 2023, last week slipped out of the country for the Netherlands, The NewsHawks reported.

Dengu was reportedly under fire from the President’s supporters who were threatening him with a fierce backlash and financial ruin.

The defeated yet still alive ZANU PF faction, the G-40, is reportedly supporting the move by Chiwenga to challenge Mnangagwa.

Chiwenga and G40 strategists are realigning forces within ZANU PF to challenge Mnangagwa head-on next year.

The NewsHawks reported sources within ZANU PF as saying that after Mnangagwa reneged on the deal with Chiwenga prior to the November 2017 military coup to serve only one term and allow his deputy to come in 2023, gloves are now off within the ruling party over unresolved leadership issues.

Said the source:

The fallout within the party leadership is serious. We are heading for a battle royale between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga next year.

That is how politics within ZANU PF and state institutions is currently shaping up. The unresolved leadership question can no longer be managed and swept under the carpet; it has got to be settled politically, and that means through congress next year.

There is no question of another military coup; well, perhaps a palace coup might happen, but not a putsch.

When Mnangagwa took over, there was a clear understanding that he will not seek re-election in 2023.

However, Chiwenga and others were shocked to see him telling the world in an interview in September 2018 during the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York that he would seek re-election in 2023. That was never agreed.

During the December 2018 ZANU PF conference at Mzingwane High School in Esigodini, Mnangagwa and his allies moved a gear up and launched a campaign for him to serve two terms, a development that reportedly did not please Chiwenga. Said another source:

At that time, it became clear Mnangagwa had broken ranks and reneged on the deal.

That worsened internal strife and infighting fuelled by the White City grenade attack in June 2018 which most ZANU PF leaders know was an inside job.

The 1 August 2018 killings in Harare in broad daylight and January 2019 stay away and the bloodbath that left many dead exacerbated the situation.

The Mnangagwa group is mainly Midlands and Masvingo province-based, while the Chiwenga one has threads cutting across different regions, although its main base has roots in the three Mashonaland provinces — Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West and Harare.

“POLAD Is Part Of The Problem”: President Chamisa

MDC Alliance leader President Nelson Chamisa says POLAD does not have the capacity to resolve the country’s political impasse.

Sybeth Musengezi Tears Into “Political Hypocrite” Mnangagwa

Zanu PF man Sybeth Musengezi has described Emmerson Mnangagwa as a blundering politician who does not care at all about the welfare of Zimbabweans.

After removing Cde Mugabe in 2017, if @edmnangagwa had sound advisors he wouldn’t have missed a clear penalty to become Zim’s biblical Joshua. Hunger for power took over and he became associated with political and business thugs, something Zimbabweans who ‘marched’ never expected.

After the disputed & controversial 2018 elections, instead of
@edmnangagwa creating a gathering of snakes (Polad), he should have brotherly and genuinely sat down with @nelsonchamisa .

MEANWHILE, as the young people of Zimbabwe and other progressive minds; we are DEMANDING that Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa and your crew immediately fix this nosediving economy so that you can leave offices with dignity.

We want a stable economy, functional healthcare & educational institutions, jobs, decent pensions for our elders, decent salaries for our civil servants among other constitutional rights…. Not this monkey business! We want an END to corruption and abuse of state institutions.

High Court Frees Zhombe Machete Gang

By A Correspondent- The High Court has released on bail the nine members of a Zhombe machete gang who were involved in running battles with rival gangs in Empress Mine over gold claims.

Kudakwashe Mapholisa, Chrispen Nyoni, Patson Nguvaya, Sifelani Sibanda, John Malamula, Silent Magura, Stephen Takawira, Vitalis Godho and Misheck Moyo were released on $5, 000 bail each.

In releasing them on bail, the High Court ordered the accused to desist from interfering with witnesses and to report once a fortnight at their nearest police station.

Last week in Empress Mine, and on 19 October at Mutongerwa Bar at Empress Business Centre in Zhombe, the gang was involved in a public fight with another over a gold claim.

The State represented by prosecutor Michelle Daraja said that during the fight, Kudakwashe Mapholisa and Misheck Moyo stabbed one Newton Ncube with a spear in the abdomen and struck him with a machete in the head.

A video then went viral on social media in which Newton was seen yelling for help with a spear sticking out of his abdomen while being attended to at a local hospital.

The gang also destroyed motor vehicles belonging to the rival gang. Nine of the gang members were later arrested by police detectives while four others are still at large.

Ncube, who is wanted by police for other crimes, then reportedly checked himself out of hospital before doctors had discharged him and while his wounds were still fresh.

Four other members of the gang that stabbed Newton Ncube’s gang are still at large. The gang had initially appeared before Kwekwe magistrate Samukelisiwe Dube facing attempted murder and public violence charges.

Dube had initially denied them bail but the decision was overturned by the High Court.

Zambia’s Former Defence Minister Nabbed For Attempted Murder

Davies Chanda

By A Correspondent- Police have picked up and detained former Defence Minister and Patriotic Front (PF) Vice-Chairperson, Davies Chama.

Chama has since been co-charged with his former security officer, Brian Dumisani Nyoni for an attempted murder case going back to 2015.

The duo is expected to be transported to Sesheke District where the matter will be heard.

During the Mulobezi By-election in June 2015, violence erupted between the UPND party and the PF, which saw one UPND cadre shot in the thigh and sustained a deep knife cut in the buttock as well as another cut on the left eye.

According to the version of Siyanga Siyauya, who was UPND campaign manager for the Mulobezi by-elections, it was surprising that after the attack from the PF cadres, their cadre and one of his colleagues were instead arrested and detained instead of arresting the perpetrators of the crime.

Siyauya said he was lucky that he was not also injured but alleged that the driver of the PF Secretary General Davies Chama had aimed at shooting him as well.

However, according to Zambia Police report in 2015, Siyauya was arrested for allegedly being part of a group of machete-wielding thugs who attacked Patriotic Front (PF) secretary-general Davies Chama and his entourage in Mulobezi.

S_ex Worker Vanishes With Client’s Car

A sex worker has been arrested in Bulawayo after stealing and crashing her client’s car into a pre-cast wall in Hillside.

The Chronicle reports that Mr Trust Ndlovu allegedly picked up a 23-year-old Cwebisile Hlengiwe Moyo in the city centre on Tuesday last week and the two agreed to spend the night together at a city lodge.

They booked a room at a lodge along Lobengula Street between Connaught and Masotsha Ndlovu avenues.

Ndlovu said he parked his car outside the lodge and the two retired for the night only to wake up around 5 am to find Moyo gone with his car.

He tried phoning Moyo but her number was unreachable. Ndlovu made a report to the police at around midday and they tracked Moyo to her flat in town.

She told police that the car had crashed into a pre-cast wall in the Hillside suburb.

Contacted for comment, Ndlovu said he did not hire Moyo but he knows her.

He said:

The issue has gone out of hand. I don’t know what to do. I know Cwebesile, I did not hire her, but she indeed took my car. She has been arrested and this whole thing is a mess.

Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed that Moyo was arrested.

He said Moyo sold Ndlovu’s goods worth about US$7 500 that were in the car.- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Kind Gesture Backfires For Byo Man

By A Correspondent- A “stranded” Bulawayo woman last week Friday vanished with a car of a man who offered her transport and accommodation.

Police sources say Mr Elliot Mukaro was driving his Toyota Mark 2 around Bulawayo at night on Thursday last week and he went to Queens Sports Club to drink at Boundary Nightclub.

At around 3 AM on Friday, Mukaro reportedly met a woman by the name of Thuba, who was in the company of three unidentified men.

After some drinks, the woman approached Mukaro and asked him to take her to Nkulumane where she lives.

However, Mukaro pointed out that his car was low on fuel and would not make it to Nkulumane.

Thuba offered Mukaro US$5 for fuel and he then agreed and the three men she was with disappeared as the couple drove around the city centre looking for fuel.

They could not find the fuel, and Mukaro is said to have suggested that he could take Thuba to his house in the Emakhandeni suburb to sleep till it was safe to travel.

When they got to Mukaro’s house at around 5 AM, it is alleged that he left his car keys on a table in the living room and Thuba sat on a chair there.

Mukaro retired to his bedroom and slept and woke up at around 11 AM only to discover that Thuba had vanished with his car.

He then made a report at Entumbane Police Station and his car has not been recovered.

Earlier reports had suggested that he is the one who had hired a 23-year-old sex worker – Cwebisile Hlengiwe Moyo – who stole and crashed his car. He refutes the claims. Mukaro visited the Chronicle offices on Tuesday and narrated his story. He said:

My car was stolen on Friday morning. I reported it at around 11 at Entumbane Police Station. I was called to VTS and up to now they haven’t found the car. I was not with a hooker, I was not with anyone and my car is still missing.

I arrived home at around 5AM and I just left the keys in the ignition.

When I woke up late I found the car gone. I thought one of my friends had taken the car. After about 30 minutes when nobody showed up, I went to the police to report my case. I live in Emakhandeni and police are still investigating.

He added that the only other item that was in the car is his jacket that had US$30.- Chronicle

Kasukuwere Return Ruffles Feathers In Zanu PF

By A Correspondent- Revelations that former Zanu-PF commissar Saviour Kasukuwere is plotting a political comeback to challenge President Emmerson Mnangagwa has triggered a witch-hunt in the ruling party with some officials now being targeted for allegedly backing the plot.

Kasukuwere, who was known as Tyson during his heydays in Zanu-PF, was singled out by the ruling party in an opposing affidavit in the case where a party member Sybeth Musengezi wants Mnangagwa’s ascendancy after the 2017 coup declared illegal.

Zanu-PF said Musengezi was planted by Kasukuwere as part of factional wars in the party.

The former Local Government minister was hounded out of the country during the coup alongside several top Zanu-PF officials that belonged to the G40 faction, which was loyal to late former president Robert Mugabe.

G40 is said to be re-grouping amid claims that the faction is making a comeback in the ruling party structures.

Zanu-PF is already battling a serious internal rift with two factions said to be loyal to Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga.

Kasukuwere has added a new dimension to the infighting with two top Zanu-PF officials acknowledging that there were indications that the ruling party has been  infiltrated by the exiled politician’s backers.

Zanu-PF director of information Tafadzwa Mugwadi claimed some party officials are pretending to be loyal to Mnangagwa yet they are working with Kasukuwere.

“I exposed that and I wouldn’t want to speak much, but what should be known is that the hallmark of Zanu-PF when going for elections, it sheds off the jetsam and flotsam and anything that is meant to cause commotion and confusion and works on the basis of the willing and devout patriots,” Mugwadi said.

“Zanu-PF has a way of exposing such in dealing with errant elements.

“What we know is they have been up to attacking government officials, government departments, and senior leadership and of course there was suspicion and that suspicion has been confirmed by what they are doing.

“This will not derail our plans ahead of 2023 and if you look at the numbers, there are just three or four elements causing confusion.”

Zanu-PF acting spokesperson Mike Bimha said those supporting Kasukuwere were not genuine party members.

“Anyone can post anything on social media and cannot be stopped but I doubt if the people you refer to are genuine party cadres,” Bimha told The Standard.

“If one goes to social media I have doubts if they are really genuine party members.

“If people have issues in the party there are channels to do that.

” We have channels for raising concerns or any contributions. The commissariat is open and people bring all the issues every day.”

One of the many former Mnangagwa loyalists and now a staunch supporter of Kasukuwere, Never Maswerasei recently apologised for supporting the president, a development observers said was a clear vote of no confidence against the Zanu-PF leader.

Maswerasei is now campaigning for Kasukuwere on social media.

The former Zanu-PF commissar has remained mum about his presidential ambitions, but his backers say his campaign is taking shape behind the scenes.

Mnangagwa was chosen as a Zanu-PF presidential candidate during the party’s annual conference.

Last week, Chiwenga said Mnangagwa’s position as Zanu-PF’s candidate for the 2023 elections was guaranteed.-standard

Mahiya Wades Into Mazowe District Fight, Humiliates Musarara

By A Correspondent- War veterans secretary in the ZANU PF Politburo Douglas Mahiya yesterday embarrassed Mazowe District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) Tafadzwa Musarara at ZANU PF inter district meeting in Mazowe.

Mahiya who was head of delegation to monitor progress in restructuring exercise in Mashonaland Central province demonized supporters by embarrassing Musarara and endorsing chairperson Kazembe Kazembe a move which was allegedly not on the agenda of the party programme.

Addressing party supporters the boastful Mahiya called Musarara and reminded him that he was the most senior man on the event and had to be obeyed.

“Where is Musarara!” bellowed the angry Mahiya.

Musarara lifted his hand while in the tent and was ordered to stand up before being told to sit down.

“Ndini mukuru pano simuka!”

Musarara  stood up.

Chigara pasi!” he sat down.

There was total silence as supporters wondered where his anger was coming from.

Mahiya who was previously assisted to launch his war veterans league by Kazembe in Mashonaland Central had to pay back Kazembe by endorsing him as the chairperson of the province.

Musarara has shown   interest in the chairmanship race and that irked Mahiya.

War veterans Association chairperson for Mashonaland Central Sam Parirenyatwa who is being fought hard by Mahiya and Kazembe had to take Mahiya head on during their Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting in Bindura on Friday.

Parirenyatwa alleged Mahiya was endorsing the war veterans  league which was stopped by the executive hence he was in defiance with the executive order.

Police On AFM Church Gun-Shots Drama

By A Correspondent-The police have said that they are investigating a gunshot rang that occurred at the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) church in Marlborough on Thursday night.

The fire exchange happened after security guards hired by a group led by Reverend Cossam Chiangwa attempted to forcibly take control of the premises from the Reverend Amon Madawo-led group.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, saying investigations are underway.

Zanu PF Women’s League Ambushes Chadzamira

By A Correspondent- The Minister of State for Masvingo, Ezra Chadzamira left a Zanu PF Women’s League function held at the Caravan Park in Masvingo on Saturday in huff allegedly after getting wind that a section of the gathering was waiting to pass a vote of no confidence on him.

The women from all party districts in Masvingo had gathered for a function of the Young Women in Business for Economic Development popularly known with the moniker Women for ED, an initiative by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to support women with economic projects and loans.
Attending the function were party gurus like Euginia Samson, the Women’s League provincial chairperson, Deputy Minister Yeukai Simbanegavi, Rabson Mavhenyengwa the provincial vice chairperson, and Jevas Masosota the provincial political commissar.
A close source close told The Mirror that the purpose of the meeting was to elect an executive of the Young Women in Business for Economic Development and the elections were supposed to take place after an address by Chadzamira who is also Zanu PF chairman for Masvingo and the guest of honour.
The meeting however, ended abruptly as Chadzamira was allegedly tipped of the ambush.
Samson confirmed the meeting but declined to give a comment saying that she was in a meeting.
It is understood that factionalism with the party divided between Vice President Chiwengwa and his boss President Mnangagwa was the cause of the problems at the meeting.
“The women were supposed to elect a committee but everything was abandoned after it was discovered that women from a faction allegedly led by Vice President Constantine Chiwenga were warming up for a showdown with Chadzamira’s supporters. Chadzamira left the event hurriedly after he was tipped of the impending embarrassment,” said the source.
Zanu PF Masvingo provincial spokesperson Ophias Murambiwa, said the meeting was held. When further quizzed on why the elections were not held, he said he is going to check with those on the ground.
“I thought everything went well. I will have to check with those on the ground and verify certain facts before I comment on the matter. I will definitely come back to you in a few minutes,” said Murambiwa. He however, did not call back as promised.
Chadzamira could not be reached for comment as his phone went unanswered.
The event exposed the battle for supremacy between the two warring Zanu PF factions allegedly pitting the party’s first secretary Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy that has reach alarming levels. According to sources warring factions are between one led by Ezra Chadzamira and the other led by his deputy Rabison Mavhenyengwa.

Prophet T Freddy In Love Scandal

By A Correspondent- Controversial Harare preacher T Freddy has been embroiled in a love scandal with a Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) presenter, Rutendo Makuti.

This came out Thursday after Makuti appeared before the courts in Harare on charges of extorting the preacher.

Makuti (33) is alleged to have been in a relationship with Freddy, founder and leader of Goodness and Mercy Ministries.
She appeared at the Harare Magistrate Sheunesu Matova who remanded her to 9 December for routine remand.

Makuti, who was represented by Tinashe Mbala, was released on $5 000 bail and ordered not to interfere with state witnesses.

Allegations are that sometime in 2020 Freddy (38) had a relationship with Makuti.
During the relationship, it is alleged that she started threatening to expose their affair if he does not meet her financial and material demands.
Prosecutors told the court that sometime in August 2021, Freddy was summoned by Chief Chikwaka and proceeded to the traditional leader’s place.
It is alleged that upon his arrival at the chief’s homestead he was tipped that there were some police officers who wanted to extort him.

Freddy then made a U-turn and sought to return to Harare but was stopped by some police officers who were manning a roadblock.
He was forced to get back to the chief’s homestead where Chief Chikwaka allegedly accused him of raping Makuti.
The chief also accused Freddy of sleeping with the woman before a year had elapsed since the death of her husband, violating traditional norms.
Freddy promised to pay US$15 000. In addition, the chief ordered him to pay three goats and Freddy promised to return at a later date with the money and the goats.
It is alleged that the chief made the pastor sign an agreement which was authored by an Inspector Jaji.

It is further alleged that upon their return to Harare, Makuti told Freddy to hand over the US$15 000 to her personally since she is the one who was aggrieved.
He handed over a Mercedes Benz E250 valued at US$15 000.
t is alleged after some days, Makuti started threatening Freddy again, saying his secretary Nollen Mundawaro had insulted her so she wanted compensation of US$20 000.
On Thursday (yesterday), Makuti’s brother demanded that he pays up the US$20 000 and that he signs an acknowledgement that he had raped her.
He threatened Freddy that he would expose the affair if he failed to pay the money.
Freddy reported the matter to the police leading to Makuti’s arrest.
She was lured to meet with Freddy purportedly to discuss the payment of the US$20 000 and was nabbed at the rendezvous.
The US$15 000 was recovered.

Mapostori Visit Pays Off For Robbed Businessman

By A Correspondent-A Beitbridge businessman who lost R1.2 million and US$3 500 to armed robbers on 9 October allegedly consulted a local apostolic faith leader for divine intervention to recover his stolen money.

After the “consultation”, one of the suspected armed robbers, 32-year-old Freeman Ndudzo of Dulivhadzimo, who is also linked to a number of robbery cases in Beitbridge, was arrested by police.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest of Ndudzo on 5 November. He said:

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Freeman Ndudzo (32) on November 5, 2021, by detectives who were pursuing a case of unlawful entry and theft.

… The suspect is linked to several robbery cases that occurred in Beitbridge including the purported theft case of R1.2 million reported recently.

Ndudzo and his accomplices pounced on the businessman’s Beitbridge home and reportedly threatened to shoot him and his family while demanding cash.

Before Ndudzo’s arrest, the businessman allegedly consulted apostolic faith leader Madzibaba Emmanuel Mutumwa of the Johane Masowe eChishanu at his shrine in Bulawayo’s Selborne Park suburb on 17 October.

Pictures and videos in possession of B-Metro show the businessman in white robes kneeling before Madzibaba Mutumwa receiving prayers.

It’s true that I consulted him (Madzibaba Mutumwa) and that is when he told me that the suspects would be arrested. One of them has since been arrested and appeared in court. I had no doubts that his prayers worked.

People should also know that when having such problems, it’s all about believing when one consults any man of God.

He said Moyo sold Ndlovu’s goods worth about US$7 500 that were in the car.

Was UK’s Archbishop Fair On Zim Priests Demanding Removal Of Tagwirei Sanctions?

By Simba Chikanza | Emmerson Mnangagwa’s personal prophet, Andrew Wutaunashe leading a small group of preachers who include Nehemiah Mutendi and Fidelis Mukonori last week, announced to the British community’s most senior religious advisor, the Archbishop of Canterbury, that he should tell the UK government to remove targeted sanctions against a small number of Mnangagwa’s close clique. The only Zimbabweans on British sanctions are Kudakwashe Tagwirei (looting, USB32 billion), Owen Ncube(military crackdown), Isaac Moyo (military crackdown), Godwin Matanga (military crackdown, USD 16 billion national loss on 1 Aug 2018) and Anselem Sanyatwe (military crackdown, USD 16 billion national loss on 1 Aug 2018), and they have made Zimbabwe to a total of USB48 billion since the removal of former president, Robert Mugabe. Justin Welby in response told him that sanctions relief is only for those who do not steal their own country’s money.

Wutaunashe had at the time claimed he is representing a broad consensus of preachers when he said “Zimbabwe has been under sanctions for 50 years and they are hurting the poor and destroying infrastructure.”

He claimed that he is troubled by the plight of the poor. He said, “we’re actually troubled for the poor… because of the politics and the discord led nature to sanctions and Zimbabwe has been under sanctions for 50 years, ever since the days you’re aware of, of Ian Smith.

“But now the present sanctions are crippling the poor, they are not tutoring anybody, so we wanted to ask, even now we had the UN repertoire, who came and confirmed the same, investigated everything and discovered that the sanctions are actually doing the same(sic), destroying infrastructure that supposed to be for the poor, for the common people, destroying employment, and we are requesting your voice, and we felt in particular that your voice, you would help us you would help the political powers that be, to have a bit of conscience.”

Responding, Archbishop Welby said to Wutaunashe, “thank you very much and this is very very important.”

He continued saying, Sanctions Relief Initiative should be only for the poor who don’t steal money that is not theirs.

He said, “I will obviously read this later today.

“I will discuss it with other people here and see how we can advocate for sanctions relief while ensuring that those who steal money that is not theirs…don’t benefit from sanctions relief.”

Zimbabweans Press Ramaphosa Over Permits

By A Correspondent- Harare’s top diplomat in Pretoria, David Hamadziripi, Zimbabwean migrants worsened an already tense situation by dragging President Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration to court over special work permit renewals.

Hamadziripi said there had been diplomatic manoeuvres to end the uncertainties, and the South African government would announce a decision.

The special permits were last renewed in 2017, and are due to expire at the end of this year making the future of about 250 000 Zimbabweans on special permits uncertain.

South African nationals recently demonstrated against the extension of the special permits, while Zimbabwean migrants on the special permits took Pretoria to court, pressing the government to declare them permanent residents.

Hamadziripi told the Zimbabwe Independent:

In this case, the current permits expire at the end of next month,” Hamadziripi said. “The process has always been that the South African cabinet decides whether to renew or not. The last time they were renewed was in 2017. Their term is five years. They are due to expire in 2021. The point is that it is a decision that is actually taken by the South African cabinet.

What has infuriated some South Africans is that we have some permit holders who have now gone to the courts asking them to direct the South African government to grant them permanent residency.

Some of these people have been holding them (special permits) for a period long enough for them to qualify for permanent residency. But because they have these special permits, they don’t qualify and cannot be granted permanent residency.

Pretoria has come under fierce criticism from its nationals, who last week tried to force the Ramaphosa administration to change tack.

#NoToZimWorkPermits campaign and #PutSouthAfricansFirst activist and march convenor Tshidiso Rantsa has said the push is to make sure opportunities that were taken by Zimbabweans are returned to South Africans.

Other African nationals also hold the permits.

Hamadziripi said anxiety was building up because of delays by the South African government on the processes for the renewal of the permits.

He added that according to South African immigration laws, these Zimbabweans had stayed in the neighbouring country long enough to acquire permanent residency.

Zim Woman Assists 15 People Stranded In South Africa To Return Home

A Zimbabwean woman based in South Africa has assisted 15 locals who had become destitute in the neighbouring country by facilitating their return home.

Nobuhle Virginia Ajiti from Sizinda, Bulawayo has assisted over 15 stranded Zimbabweans in Johannesburg with food, clothing and transport back home after spending years living on the streets.  Ms Ajiti runs a soup kitchen in Johannesburg which gives food to people living on the streets.

In an interview, Ms Ajiti said the programme started after she realised that some Zimbabweans wanted to return home but had no means to do so.

“I started a soup kitchen mid-last year which is when some of the people came forward and shared their stories and pleaded for assistance to go back home to be reunited with their families,” she said.

She said a recent case involved a well known beggar from Tsholotsho, who used to operate in front of a supermarket in the Johannesburg Central Business District.

Siyabonga Zondo left for South Africa in 2009 but the grass proved less greener on the other side and has been begging since.

He has since been assisted to return home. Ms Ajiti also said three of the 15 she assisted have started working through her initiative as some Zimbabwean company owners pledged to hire them back home.“I do not insist on getting just anyone back home.

I wait for those who are saying ‘I have struggled enough’ as a street dweller, I am homeless jobless, then I get up and seek assistance from well wishers and get them back home,” she said.

Ms Ajiti added that the problem with helping someone who is not ready to come back home is that they will most likely go back to South Africa and suffer the same fate. Being an activist since 2011, the 35-year-old Good Samaritan has also assisted 22 Gender Based Violence  (GBV) survivors back home.

“Posting on my Facebook page always gets me volunteers, new cases that need my attention like struggling migrant families, GBV victims, drug addicts and so forth. When these people are going home volunteers always come forward, some pledge groceries, hair cuts, new clothes, and groceries among many.”

She said her wish was to work closely with the Zimbabwean Embassy in South Africa as some people had no travel documents.

“Getting some GBV victims into shelters is a hustle as most would not have relevant documents. Working closely with the embassy might assist me in these issues and more.”

Several body parts have been discovered in a fridge at a Soweto home

Human body parts in Soweto were discovered hidden inside a refrigerator, News24 has reported.

The partner of the suspect reportedly made the discovery.

The suspect tried to commit suicide upon arrest.

How cruel people can really be to butcher a human and refrigerate the body parts, how is that even in human nature.

It is believed that the body parts are not from the same body because hands or arms are more than two. The community around the Soweto home were left shocked if the suspect eat people or sell body parts. It’s a quite shocking and traumatizing story to all the people around the area.

People will now live in fear due to the insecurity built by the current situation, more or less police should make sure to always keep searching the house that had been forsaken or abandoned by their owners.

If not just bring the houses down to limit hide out places, for crime in communities even the municipality shouldn’t allow houses left unattended.

Parents Demand Probe Into Assault And Torture Of Gokomere Students

By A Correspondent| Parents and Guardians of students enrolled at Gokomere High School on Wednesday 10 November 2021 gave authorities at Masvingo Rural Police Station a seven-day ultimatum to probe the brutal assault and torture of students by law enforcement agents following protests which broke out early this week over poor diet and learning conditions.

Some students were left nursing injuries after they were assaulted and tortured by Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officers, who arrested them on Sunday 7 November 2021 and on Monday 8 November 2021 after they were accused of staging a demonstration at the school against unsuitable learning conditions.

The students spent time detained at Masvingo Rural Police Station and were only released on Monday 8 November 2021 following representations made by Martin Mureri of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights, who emphasised the need to engage the students’ parents or guardians to the Officer In Charge of Masvingo Rural Police Station rather than keeping them in detention.

In his letter, Mureri protested against the conduct of police officers who arrested the students as they assaulted them and left them in bad shape.

The human rights lawyer said the students’ parents and guardians want the assault and torture to be investigated within seven days and to be furnished with the outcome of the probe detailing the names of the law enforcement agents who ill-treated the students.

Ngadziore Acquitted

HARARE Magistrate Sheunesu Matova on Friday 12 November 2021 set free Takudzwa Ngadziore, the leader of Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU), who had been on trial for allegedly inciting some school children to protest against President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government.

Ngadziore was arrested on 24 March 2020 by Zimbabwe Republic Police officers and charged with criminal nuisance as defined in Section 46 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.

During trial, prosecutors alleged that the 22 year-old Ngadziore did an act that is likely to create nuisance or obstruction by gathering some students from Allan Wilson High School on 7 March 2020 at Copacabana bus terminus in Harare, where he incited them without the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in a demonstration, where the school children sang some protest songs against President Mnangagwa’s government over its mismanagement of the economy.

But on Friday 12 November 2021, Magistrate Matova set Ngadziore free by removing him from remand after noting that the case had taken 20 months with the ZINASU leader being on remand and without trial being concluded.

Magistrate also noted that continuing to place Ngadziore on trial would be tantamount to interfering with his right to a trial within a reasonable time.

The removal from remand of Ngadziore came after his lawyer Webster Jiti of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights, protested that the State’s house was in disarray as prosecutors had only led one witness in a period of one year and eight months and that Ngadziore had appeared in court answering to this charge of criminal nuisance for more than 22 times.

Magistrate Matova advised prosecutors to proceed by summoning Ngadziore to appear in court if they intend to prosecute him on the same charges.

I Am Not Under Pressure, Says Mapeza

Warriors coach Norman Mapeza says he is not under any pressure as his charges prepare to take on Ethiopia this Sunday at the National Sports Stadium.

Zimbabwe hosts Ethiopia for the last group stage fixture in CAF Qualifiers with both sides having little to play for save to build up for the upcoming AFCON tournament.

The Warriors have played Ethiopia once in the reverse fixture and the East Africans hold the edge after winning one nil at home.

The Warriors haven’t won a match in this single campaign but interim coach, Norman Mapeza is not worried.

“It’s now all about building for AFCON. We need to lay a foundation and that what we are doing now,” Mapeza says.

The former national team captain also emphasised the need for unity.

“Youngsters need to learn from seniors, for example Bill Anthonio needs to know how it is in England, but how is he going to do that if Galloway is on his phone, so we want more bonding it’s healthy for the team.”

The Warriors technical department is expected to give other players a chance to show what they can offer to the nation.

High Court Orders Protection Of Mbare Wetland

High Court Judge Justice Joseph Mafusire has ordered a property developer to demolish some unlawful and illegal structures which had been erected on a wetland in Mbare high-density suburb.

Tonderai Nhende and Club 55 Investments Private Limited had started constructing a perimeter wall after obtaining a lease from City of Harare to use Stand 41156, located in Mbare for a recreational park and a wedding venue.

This compelled Harare Wetlands Trust and Community Water Alliance Trust represented by Memory Mafo of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) to file an application at Harare High Court seeking an order stopping Nhende and Club 55 Investments Private Limited from proceeding with construction work on a wetland in the absence of any permits and licences required in terms of section 24 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act, Sections 97 and Section 113(2) of the Environmental Management Act and Section 46(2)(b) of the Water Act.

Justice Mafusire recently declared that Nhende and Club 55 Investments Private Limited development on Stand 41156 in Mbare suburb is unlawful as the piece of land forms part of the Mbare wetland in Mukuvisi Catchment area and also prohibited them from undertaking an development on the piece of land.

The High Court Judge ordered Nhende and Club 55 Investments Private Limited to demolish or cause to be demolished the unlawful and illegal structures constructed on the wetland.

The Mbare suburb wetland is the latest to be saved by ZLHR after the human rights organisation intervened on several occasions to prevent unlawful developments on wetlands, which are important ecosystems and a critical source of water for City of Harare.

Prophet Freddy Got What He Deserves?

By A Correspondent-Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) presenter, Rutendo Makuti, has been arrested on allegations of extorting cash and cars to popular Harare preacher Tapiwa Freddy.

She appeared in court on Friday and was granted bail.

Govt Offers More Detail On USD Bonus For Civil Servants

THE Government has explained the payment of bonuses to civil servants and pensioners in foreign currency, saying the money will be paid into nostro accounts.

In an interview in Bulawayo yesterday, the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Professor Mthuli Ncube, said the Government was prepared to settle the bonus issue as a once off payment.

“It (bonus) is going to be paid into nostro accounts of civil servants. They will be able to withdraw it as cash or transfer it to their cards and use it for purchases or even keep it in their savings accounts, it’s up to them to do what they want. They are free to do what they like with their money. For pensioners, naturally their benefits will also be paid in United States dollars (USD), even for war veterans, everyone who is on the civil service payroll will receive their bonuses in foreign currency this year,” he said.

Prof Ncube said they decided to make the payments in foreign currency owing to the inflation caused by the foreign currency parallel market which has seen an increase in prices of goods and services.

“We realised as Government that there was pressure from inflation being pushed by the parallel market and inflation was beginning to go up, but also there was a call from civil servants’ leadership that there should be payment of the bonuses in USD, so we responded to these two calls.

The President had also said let’s do it and pay the civil servants in USD and we are going to do that for this year’s bonuses,” he said.

The Government announced last week that the 13th cheque will be paid in United States dollars to cushion workers and pensioners.

The bonuses will be paid out up to a maximum of US$700 for civil servants while civil service pensioners are set to receive US$100 as bonus payments and extra US$80 for their spouses while children will pocket US$60.

The Permanent Secretary in the Finance Ministry, Mr George Guvamatanga, said civil servants that had pay scales that required more than US$700 would get the balance of their bonuses in local currency.

Mr Guvamatanga said engagements with banks would start soon to ensure that there was a smooth flow of payments at the end of November when the bonuses would be due.

It is projected that the Government will fork out US$90 million in these bonuses, a figure that the Government says is manageable.

Govt Says 99% Civil Servants Now Vaccinated | ARE THEY TELLING THE TRUTH?

CLOSE to 99 percent of Government workers in Zimbabwe have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 ahead of next month’s deadline by which all civil servants must be immunised or face disciplinary action.

This comes as authorities have set in motion a plan to set up vaccination centres in schools.

Constantino Chiwenga

This is expected to inject further impetus into the country’s immunisation programme, which was beginning to lose momentum with the passing of the third wave of the coronavirus.

Data obtained from the Public Service Commission (PSC) shows that Mashonaland Central has the highest percentage of fully vaccinated public sector workers followed by Manicaland and Masvingo.

Full vaccination entails getting two jabs of the vaccines which have been authorised for use in Zimbabwe.

To date, 99,68 percent of Government workers stationed in Harare have been fully immunised, while 99,95 percent of those in Bulawayo have received their Covid-19 jabs.

According to the official PSC schedule, in Mashonaland West (99,86 percent), Mashonaland East (99,94 percent), Mashonaland Central (99,96 percent), Manicaland (99,95 percent), Midlands (99,57 percent), Masvingo (99,95), Matabeleland North (99,72 percent) and Matabeleland South (99,72 percent) of all public sector workers have been fully vaccinated.

Zimbabwe has a 300 000-strong civil service staff compliment.

Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Professor Paul Mavima said vaccine uptake within the public service was testament to the efficacy of Government’s “no work, no pay” policy.

He said the Government stands by its decision to withhold unvaccinated workers’ remuneration.

“This development shows that we are almost there as a country in achieving herd immunity,” said Prof Mavima.

“It also means that the Government has been successful in rolling out the vaccination programme.

“As I have said previously, unvaccinated public sector workers will still be given priority when they want to get their jabs.

“By getting vaccinated it means that those who interact with our workers are now protected from the deadly coronavirus and the workplace will also be a safer place.

“However, those who are not yet vaccinated are being encouraged to do so because our no vaccination, no pay policy still stands.”

Zimbabwe Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions secretary-general Mr David Dzatsunga said the vaccination of civil servants has helped improve workplace productivity.

“Vaccination of civil servants is important because it makes the work environment safe,” he said.

“Since everyone can attend to his or her work without disturbance, it means there will be increased productivity.”

In September, the Government promulgated Statutory Instrument 234 which compelled all public sector workers to be immunised by October 15 or face disciplinary action.

Those with valid excuses for not being vaccinated were given up to December 31 to get their jabs.

Reads SI 234: “Provided that if the head of Ministry or head of department is satisfied that any member of the Public Service who is employed in that Ministry or department has a reasonable excuse for not being fully vaccinated by the 15th October, 2021 (which excuse shall be recorded in writing and promptly notified by the head concerned to the Commission), the head concerned may in relation to that member extend the vaccine mandate to no later than 31 December, 2021.”

Civil servants had early priority when the national vaccination campaign began.

Most African countries have imposed vaccine mandates within their civil service.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Health and Child Care approved the use of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine for 16 and 17-year-olds.

The Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr John Mangwiro, said the Government will soon set up temporary vaccination centres at schools to ensure that teenagers who qualify for vaccination receive their jabs with minimum hassles.

“We have outreach teams which will go there and vaccinate children.

“It can be in schools, churches or at grinding mills, everywhere there will be a vaccination centre.

We cannot say a school that is for instance 70km away is the only one offering vaccination because schools mostly have approximately a 1 000 or more kids.

“It would be inconvenient for others. Therefore, it would be best for us to send our teams directly to the schools.

“When we go there and vaccinate 400 pupils that would be good. We are actually going into schools whether it’s a day or boarding school.

“It will make our work easier with the assistance of the teachers and the teams we already have on the ground now.” -Sunday Mail

Mthuli Dishes Out Irrigation Equipment To War Vets | WILL THIS HELP?

The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association in Bulawayo yesterday received two boreholes, a perimeter fence for their offices and drip irrigation equipment aimed at bolstering income generating projects of the ex-freedom fighters.
The donation which was made by the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Professor Mthuli Ncube, at the ex-freedom fighters’ Entumbane offices (Emaplankeni) will also see the surrounding community benefitting from the water as the city is facing water challenges.

The war veterans said they were setting up a massive poultry project and green houses to kick start their projects. In his handover speech, Prof Ncube said he was responding to calls from the province that their offices had no security and needed to be fenced off.

Mthuli Ncube

“I am glad to be back, a year ago I toured the place and I was informed by the chairman of the war veterans (Cde Cephas Ncube) that they needed a fence to secure their place.

They had been victims of vandalism and theft at the premises including a petrol bomb attack that occurred that was later put out by residents in the community.

He also told me that they had one borehole yet the area was large with water use for commercial agriculture use being inadequate. I listened to their plight and I have brought back what they requested for,” he said.

Prof Ncube said the Government was interested in seeing the welfare of war veterans being improved regularly in terms of pensions, health care and many other areas.

The Government has okayed the payment of their bonuses in foreign currency together with their spouses and children at the end of November.

He highlighted that the Government had set aside for the war veterans 21 mining claims all over the country, tourism assets, six farms, a property development company and a financial services company.

The Minister said he was doing several other projects in the city in a bid to improve the livelihoods of the communities and had started the construction of a clinic in Cowdray Park.

“Cowdray Park has no clinic, and we are solving that problem, we received US$200 million from the United Kingdom which is aimed at building clinics throughout the country and the first clinic was constructed in Harare South and Cowdray Park is the second site and the foundation has been constructed. We also understand that there is a police post that is also required and we are working on that to improve security,” he said.

The provincial chairman of the war veterans, Cde Cephas Ncube, said they were grateful for the donation of the boreholes, drip irrigation and the perimeter fence saying the veterans had a role in rebuilding the country. Cde Ncube said children of war veterans will inherit the projects left behind by the older generation whose numbers he said were dwindling.

He paid tribute to former chairman of the war veterans Cde Jabulani Sibanda who attended the handover saying he was taking his words forward of calling for development of the provincial headquarters saying agricultural projects must be started as soon as possible as they were now equipped. The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Cde Judith Ncube also applauded Prof Ncube for his timeous donations.

Meanwhile, Zanu-PF Deputy National Political Commissar Cde Omega Hungwe was in the province where she held several meetings with the leadership and members of the party applauding them for managing to mobilise members and strengthen their structures. Her key message was also on the need for youths to take up leadership roles in order to ensure continuity in the party also applauding Bulawayo Province for the good work in terms of mobilising members.

“If youths want to take up positions let them do so, even if their parents hold positions in the party too, that is legacy. I am happy that Bulawayo Province is moving forward in pushing the agenda of the party. There is no room for tribalism but unity only is needed. In 2023 we want the President to win resoundingly,” she said.-Sunday News

The People’s President Takes Over Gokwe- Chireya

Tinashe Sambiri| President Nelson Chamisa’s MDC Alliance has taken its massive recruitment campaign to Gokwe- Chireya.

Hundreds are eager to embrace change in the area, according to the MDC Alliance.

See full statement below:

Mdc Alliance continues to shine in Gokwe Chireya as mobilisation and recruitment drive intensifies.

13 November 2021

On Thursday the 11th of November social democrats in the marginalised rural Gokwe Chireya confirmed their revolutionary appetite to recruit, mobilise and radicalise citizens as part of Citizens Convergence for Change. National democratic fighters converged at Zanda in Gokwe to deliberate on the best strategy to encourage citizens to register to vote in 2023, vote for change in 2023 and defend their hardworn victory from perennial electoral fraudsters in Zanupf.

Mdc Alliance Namibia would like to appreciate the revolutionary commitment and dedication exhibited by the current Mdc Alliance Botswana District Chairperson John Pamire who always gives moral, material and financial support to the constituency every time they hold these recruitment meetings. Refreshments and food are a priority as a source of revolutionary energy since it is a door to door campaign targeting 6 million voters for change. Our party policy is very clear on the dire need for the diaspora support back home as individuals, branches, districts and provinces. We salute Chairperson John Pamire for walking social democracy by embracing positive interdependence.

On behalf of Namibia district, I would like to acknowledge the diligence represented by the organic Gokwe District Secretary General Masoso for being there with the people whenever they undertake these mobilisation and recruitment drives.

It is now the opportune time to have all hands on the deck. The agenda of the meeting at Zanda Gokwe Chireya was to encourage social democrats to participate in the national discourse through voting since it is part of independence. The meeting was a build up to the anticipated Constituency rally that will see all citizens converging to reenergise the political base.

It is our focus as the people’s party to invade those marginalised rural communities that are purported to be Zanupf strongholds. As Mdc Alliance Namibia we already committed to partner Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe ahead of the harmonised elections in 2023. Gokwe Chireya Zanda yati Ngaapinde hake mukomana. A New Great Zimbabwe is possible with Gokwe Chireya contributing meaningfully to the national democratic revolution. Lets all embrace participatory democracy to win Zimbabwe for complete change.

President Advocate Nelson Chamisa is the only political generator who can restore the broken social contract and put the economy on a sounder footing.

Social democrats in Gokwe Chireya were also encouraged to verify with Zec to confirm the presence of their names in the voters roll to avoid being turned away on the voting day. The response was quite exhilarating. Thanks pragmatic leadership for walking the talk.

Leave Kalimbwe Alone, Ostallos Tells Zanu PF

Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance deputy spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba has challenged the Zanu PF regime to stop “bullying” Joseph Kalimbwe.

Zanu PF is using bully-boy tactics to browbeat Kalimbwe for exposing Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s glaring blunders.

Siziba said Kalimbwe must be accorded his right to free speech.

“Whatever he is saying about Zanu PF is not a lie. If they think Kalimbwe is not telling the truth, Zanu PF should just share the evidence in public.

Who doesn’t know about Mnangagwa’s regime and its ills? Kalimbwe is not just a Zambian citizen but an African who fights for democracy and freedom of speech.
The democratic politics of Zambia is not sufficient enough.

Without the democratic politics in Zimbabwe, Kalimbwe cannot support the fascism in the Zanu PF government, and so they should let him speak.
It is a wake-up call to ZANU PF because the world is changing.

What I can say is that it’s a continental revolution, and things are changing. It’s a wave of democracy,” said Siziba.

We Are Moving In Right Direction- Norman Mapeza

Interim Warriors coach Norman Mapeza insists the team is moving in the right direction and making progress, despite losing all games he has overseen.

The former national team captain took over from Zdravko Logarusic and has now taken charge of three World Cup qualifiers, the Ghana double-header and the Limpopo derby against South Africa, all of which he has lost.

He however insists the plan is to prepare for the AFCON finals, and the team is making progress in that regard.

“When I came, I said I will try my best to revive our World Cup campaign, but everyone knows our situation. Then, I said I have lost those two games against Ghana, so I am going to build a team for the Afcon finals next year. From my point of view, we are moving in the right direction. I want to build for the future,” Mapeza said, according to NewsDay.

He threw into the fray 18-year old Dynamos teenager Bill Antonio in the narrow loss to Bafana Bafana and promised that will youngsters will be given a chance.

“We are introducing youngsters. I still have some youngsters who I will continue giving these opportunities to shine. If you look at South Africa’s situation, the majority of them are Under-23s who played at the Olympics in Tokyo so they had a foundation,” Mapeza said.

“Back home, we never had any. Most of the guys are getting old, but what would be the solution? Say these guys are getting old, do we have replacements for those guys? Knowledge Musona is 31 and Khama (Billiat) is 30, where are the replacements going to come from is the big question?,” he added.

Aguero Speaks On “Possible Retirement”

Sergio Aguero has cleared the air following reports that he is considering retiring from playing football after suffering chest complications.

The striker complained of chest pains and dizziness on his second league start for Barcelona against Alaves last month. He is sidelined by the condition for at least three months.

A report by Catalunya Radio has now suggested the 33-year-old could be forced to hang his boots.

But Aguero says he is remaining positive and will be guided by the doctors’ report.

He posted on Social Media: “Given the rumors, I can say that I am following the instructions of the club’s doctors, doing tests and treatment and checking my progress within 90 days. Always positive.”- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Facts About Road Safety…

Stop Bullying Kalimbwe, Ostallos Challenges Zanu PF

Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance deputy spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba has challenged the Zanu PF regime to stop “bullying” Joseph Kalimbwe.

Zanu PF is using bully-boy tactics to browbeat Kalimbwe for exposing Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s glaring blunders.

“Stop Politicising Early Marriages”: LEAD Tells Gvt

By A Correspondent- LEAD Presidential spokesperson Everjoy Chidindi has blasted government for politicising the early child marriages issue adding that it is unfortunate that the ruling party is choosing to ignore the plight of the girl child for political mileage.

In a statement issued Friday, Chidindi said her party demanded action and “will not rest until justice is done to the children of Zimbabwe by enactment of laws that protect the rights of all children.”

Below is the full statement by LEAD:

We are agitated as Advocates for the girl child because of Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi ‘s defense to the government ‘s continued reluctance to correct the inconsistencies between ages of consent to sex and marriage of the girl child.

LEAD is perplexed that government is reluctant to align laws to protect the girl child from unwanted teenage pregnancies, sexploitation, pedophilia and statutory rape. The issue of child marriages is a priority which every Zimbabwean should be concerned about.

We filed an application for the government to align age of consent to sex with the legal age of majority which is 18 years old. We did this with the hope for better change as we are witnessing a rampant rise of child marriages in our country.

As rational beings with human hearts, motherly hearts we expect the government to bear with us and raise the age of consent to sex to 18.

We are still in shock that the Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi dismissed the public appeal in Parliament with reasons that “consent for sex is based on morality and parents should teach their children morality.”

The reason being given by the Honourable MP and Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi is very dishonorable, weak and myopic. This has proved us correct that the government is delaying to take action because the perpetrators of child sexploitation are said to be ZANU PF supporters so they fear losing votes.

Hence it is now clear how they are suppressing the needs of the people and what is only right for their own selfish interests. The early marriage issue shouldn’t be politicized as it is a social issue which needs urgent attention by the legislative arm of our government.

It is unfortunate that the ruling party is choosing to ignore the plight of the girl child. We demand action and will not rest until justice is done to the children of Zimbabwe by enactment of laws that protect the rights of all children.

People ‘s interests must come first before political power retention. We expect government to honour their commitment of serving the people and all relevant ministries to protect children’s rights.

Zanu Pf Bigwigs At It Again

By A Correspondent- Legislators have accused Zanu-PF bigwigs and government officials of hijacking the management of the Pfumvuza/Intwasa Presidential Input Scheme from the Lands and Agriculture ministry.

On Wednesday, during the National Assembly question-and-answer session, the legislators grilled Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi over the issue, saying the scheme had been rocked by confusion.

Norton MP Temba Mliswa (Independent) claimed that after Zanu-PF bigwigs and government officials had hijacked the programme, Grain Marketing Board (GMB) officials were living in fear of being harassed when releasing agricultural inputs.

“Zanu-PF officials are now giving instructions to GMB officers not to release inputs, which are being politicised,” Mliswa said.

Umzingwane MP Levi Mayihlome (Zanu-PF) claimed that Agricultural Research and Extension officers were not distributing inputs, adding that they told farmers that  they would not receive allocations if they did not prepare their land. But Ziyambi said Zanu-PF officials should not be involved in input distribution.

“No Zanu-PF officials should be involved in the distribution of inputs. There is no go-between in this scheme.  Yes, it has been happening. Farmers who have not yet prepared land have had challenges in accessing inputs, but we, as the government, are investigating the alleged anomaly so that all officials get the correct information,” he said.

Ziyambi said Treasury had since released $350 million to GMB towards funding the programme for the summer cropping season.

“ED Uplifting The Lives Of Zimbabweans”: Makoni

By A Correspondent- Zanu Pf’s Proportional representation legislator Roselyn Rosewater Makoni has thanked President Emmerson Mnangagwa for uplifting the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans.

In her presentation to the national assembly, Thursday, during the Presidential Speech: Adjourned Debate on Address, Makoni hailed Mnangwagwa for being a listening president.

We publish below the full text by Makoni:

Thank you Madam Speaker for affording me this opportunity to add my voice to this debate.  I also want to thank Hon. Mutambisi for raising this pertinent motion on President Dr. E. D. Mnangagwa’s address which was supported by Hon. T. Moyo.

I want to thank the President for uplifting the lives of the Zimbabweans through agriculture. The President of Zimbabwe supports the agriculture sector very much through various projects such as Command Agriculture and Pfumvudza.

We also thank His Excellency for opening the tobacco sales floor in Marondera. We now sell our tobacco freely without fearing thieves.

We plead with the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development to help women when they are seeking permission, paper work and mining sites. May the Ministry assist women so that they venture into the mining sector?

We thank the President of Zimbabwe for vibrant projects that are being carried out countrywide. Right now, the state of the roads is now good. His Excellency Dr. E. D. Mnangagwa worked very hard during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak which resulted in reduced numbers of mortality rate due to COVID-19 in the country. Even to date, the President is making significant strides in fighting against COVID-19.

Devolution is another significant developmental programme that was started by the President of Zimbabwe. Devolution funds are complementing very well the gap that was being left by the CDF funds. His Excellency is a listening leader who has taken into consideration issues to do with women when he gave them important posts.

On transportation, the President provided ZUPCO buses to ferry people. We plead with His Excellency to increase the number of these buses.”

Komichi Tears Into Parliament Bunking Ministers

By A Correspondent- MDC-T senator, Morgen Komichi, has criticised Cabinet ministers who bunk Parliament’s question and answer sessions suggesting that the behaviour shows a lack of respect.

The National Assembly holds its question time on Wednesdays while the Senate holds its own on Thursdays.

However, ministers have been skirting questions from MPs and Senators, prompting the members to push for the session’s adjournment or its complete cancellation from parliament’s calendar. Komichi said last Thursday when just four ministers turned up:

This is quite pathetic and very unfortunate for the people of Zimbabwe. This is one of the serious abuses which the senate can endure. A few days ago, they could just absent themselves without giving any reason.

After the Senate had made a vehement complaint against their behaviour, they have now found a solution and the solution is to simply send an apology. Can these ministers give apologies on Tuesday when there is cabinet, the answer is no because it is planned from the schedule of the year that every Tuesday they go to cabinet.

This means a lot as far as the value and importance of Senate is concerned. This means a lot when we look at ourselves and say why are we here, what are we doing yet the people outside there, the taxpayers and ordinary people expect us to oversee Government activities but here today we have only four ministers. This is quite unfortunate and we have complained for a long time about this behaviour.

On Wednesday, Norton legislator (independent), Temba Mliswa, rose on a point of order to have the Q and A session adjourned the same four ministers had turned up.

The four Finance minister Mthuli Ncube, Industry and Commerce minister Sekai Nzenza, Home Affairs minister Kazembe Kazembe and Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi, only came after deputy speaker Tsitsi Gezi had called them on their cell phones.

Mahere’s Freedom Bid Hits Snag

By A Correspondent- MDC-Alliance spokesperson Fadzai Mahere Friday lost her freedom bid after a Harare magistrate dismissed her application for refusal of further remand.

Mahere is charged with publishing falsehoods after she allegedly posted on social media that a police officer had beaten a child to death with a baton in Harare.

Harare regional magistrate Mr Stanford Mambanje dismissed Mahere’s application saying although she has been on remand for 10 months, there was need to give the State opportunity to complete its investigations.

Mr Mambanje said the delay in furnishing Mahere with a trial date was not out of the State’s own making, but it was also attributed to the Covid-19 induced lockdown.

The State, led by Mr Lancelot Mutsokoti opposed to Mahere’s application saying they wanted to approach Twitter as part of its investigations.

Mahere is expected back in court on February 8 next year.

Mapostori Blast State Media For Promoting Homos_exuality Linked Advert

By A Correspondent- The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) has blamed state-owned paper The Sunday Mail for promoting homosexuality in Zimbabwe by running Garwe restaurant’s advertisement bearing a picture of South African gay personality Somizi Mhlongo.

This followed a decision by Zanu-PF and the ACCZ to block Somizi from gracing the reopening of the restaurant, best known for serving traditional mouth-watering meals.

In a statement Friday, the ACCZ, condemned said:

“It shocked the church ACCZ that our own state owned paper The Sunday Mail paper had published an article which paradoxically seems to market and advertise an event that is indirectly supporting homosexuals.”

The ACCZ further on criticized Garwe restaurant for inviting a gay in the country which is not part of the culture of Zimbabwe and a shame biblically.

“The invitation by the Garwe restaurant of Somizi Mhlongo was a serious taboo in the spiritual realm,” ACCZ added.

“The stance taken by the church ACCZ 2009 in barring the coming of Somizi in our mother land based on his controversial gender orientation homosexual was not politically driven neither was the church ACCZ 2009 influenced by the government of Zimbabwe rather it was an organic carriage based on protecting the nation,” ACCZ said.

Moreover, ACCZ likened homosexuality to Satanism and assured the public that it will leave no stone unturned in protesting against homosexuality in Zimbabwe.

“Homosexuality is Satanism. ACCZ will leave no stone unturned in purifying homosexuality. The Harare based (Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe) GALZ is no exception to be heavily dealt with as there is no room for homosexuality in Zimbabwe, ACCZ vented.

By A Correspondent- A woman from Bulawayo died yesterday after she threw herself in front of a goods train in Cowdray Park suburb.

Bulawayo provincial police deputy spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the incident which is being treated as a suicide.

“Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of suicide were an unknown female adult aged approximately 45 years threw herself in front of an oncoming goods train on 11 November 2021 around 1700hrs,” said Inspector Msebele.

She said the train was approaching Luveve Train Siding Station, when a witness saw the woman walking on the railway track, waving at the train.

“The now deceased was about 50 metres ahead walking on the railway track facing oncoming goods train which was carrying coal. The engineman warned the now deceased by sounding a siren whilst applying emergency brakes but the now deceased waved her hands to the engineman and continued walking towards the train,” said Assistant Inspector Msebele.

He said the woman was crushed by the train and died on the spot.

Prophet T Freddy’s Love Affair With Widow Spills Into Court

By A Correspondent- ZBC radio presenter Rutendo Makuti yesterday appeared in court on allegations of attempting to extort money from leader of Goodness and Mercy Ministries, “Prophet” Tapiwa Freddy, by otherwise threatening to expose their love affair to the public.

Makuti, known as Ruru on Radio Zimbabwe, appeared before magistrate Mrs Judith Taruvinga charged with extortion.

She was not asked to plead to the charges and was remanded to January 7 on $5 000 bail. She was represented by lawyer Mr Tinashe Mbala.

The State led by Mr Anesu Chirenje alleged that over the last year, Makuti and Freddy had a love affair and while they were together, she allegedly started threatening him that if he did not meet her financial and material demands, she would expose the affair to the public.

In August this year, Freddy was summoned by Chief Chikwaka to his homestead, but after he was tipped off that there might be some police officers who wanted to extort money from him he then left without entering the chiefly homestead, the court heard.

But as he was returning to Harare, he was said to have been stopped by police manning a roadblock along Mutoko Road just after the intersection near Chief Chikwaka’s homestead and allegedly the police said they had been instructed by Inspector Jaji and Chief Chikwaka not to allow him to pass through.

After a few minutes, two men arrived at the roadblock and introduced themselves as Chief Chikwaka and Inspector Jaji and ordered Freddy to drive to his place, but he refused to comply, according to the State.

It is alleged that Inspector Jaji forcefully entered Freddy’s car and ordered him to drive to the Chief’s homestead where he discovered some uniformed police officers seated in a hut with six assistants to the chief.

The State alleged that Chief Chikwaka started accusing Freddy of raping Makuti and having sexual relations with her barely a year after the death of her husband, which was against their traditions.

He allegedly told the clergyman to pay something for violating the traditions, but refused to deal with the rape allegations since the police had to handle criminal cases.

It is said that Freddy felt that whatever was happening was illegal, but he was allegedly pressured to promise to pay US$15 000 and three goats and promised to return on a later date with the items.

Allegations are that Chief Chikwaka made him sign an agreement, which was prepared by Inspector Jaji and who promised to track him down in Harare if he failed to pay, and pick him up during his church services.

It is said that Chief Chikwaka told Freddy that if he failed to comply he would leak a video of him he had recorded to the public.

The court heard that when they returned to Harare, Makuti asked Freddy to give her the money since she was the one who was involved with him.

She then allegedly threatened that if he failed to give her the money she would expose their love affair to the public through someone called Tatelicious.

Out of fear and pressure, Freddy allegedly gave Makuti a Mercedes Benz E-250 and she allegedly warned him never to reveal the ‘deal’ and made him sign an agreement, saying it was a way of settling their differences.

After some days, Makuti allegedly started threatening Freddy, saying his secretary Nollen Mundawaro had insulted her and she wanted US$20 000 as compensation and told him that Ms Mundawaro could not represent his church on all their radio and television programmes.

On Thursday this week, Makuti’s brother allegedly phoned Freddy that he had up to the end of the day to pay the US$20 000 and sign an acknowledgement that he had raped Makuti.

It was at this stage that Freddy lodged a complaint with the police.-statemedia

Zivhu Rules Out Contesting By-elections

By A Correspondent- Former Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu yesterday said he wanted to rejoin the ruling party, but ruled out contesting against Zanu-PF in by-elections.

Zivhu was expelled from the party in June 2020 after he called for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa.

The outspoken businessman was expected to stand as an independent candidate against Zanu-PF in the upcoming by-elections.

But Zivhu said he remains Zanu-PF and would not contest against the party.

“Let me say that I grew up in Zanu-PF and was councillor from 2000 to 2017. I grew up in Zanu-PF and I remain a son of the party. I am not going to stand as an independent candidate and I know a lot of people will not like it, but at the same time, you cannot change a surname because your father has sent you packing,” Zivhu told NewsDay Weekender.

At the time he was fired, Zivhu also claimed he was expelled because Zanu-PF was protecting a corrupt and senior party member whom he had reported to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.

Zivhu did not disclose the identity of the member who was allegedly a senior member of the politburo.

“I hope one day I will be able to bounce back in the Zanu-PF and contest and win. I cannot stand against the party that I grew up in.”

Mnangagwa on Wednesday said by-elections to fill in vacant seats will be held in the first quarter of next year. By-elections remains suspended over COVID-19 fears.

Police, Army Officers Open Fire At Villagers

By A Correspondent- Beitbridge police and some army officers yesterday allegedly opened fire at Makakavhule villagers after two of their colleagues were manhandled following an argument about an alleged robbery of R15 000 involving security agents.

At the time of going to print last night, there had been no reports of deaths or injuries from the shooting.

Police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations were underway and he would provide more details later.

“I am yet to get full details, but investigations are underway,” he said.

A villager, only identified as Thembani, said he was at a funeral when a relative claiming to have been robbed by policeman and a soldier accompanied by two civilians called.

“I found the soldier and policeman firing guns in the air and I called Beitbridge police, who directed me to another senior policeman (Assistant Commissioner Cosmos Masepa), who said he was deploying another team,” he said.

Beitbridge police district officer-in-charge Chief Superintendent Tichaona Nyongo confirmed receiving a call from Thembani, but said he directed him to Masepa.

“I heard the report and I referred Thembani to Assistant Commissioner Masepa,” he said.-Newsday

“Police in Madlambuzi are investigating a case of attempted murder which occurred at Luvuluma Village on 7 November at 1730 hours.

“A 71-year-old woman is suspected to have laced a bucket of water with an unidentified substance at a funeral,” police said, confirming the incident.

It was not immediately clear if the granny in question was arrested or not.

Zanu Pf Councilor Fingered In Rituals Storm

By A Correspondent- A Zanu PF councillor in Odzi, Manicaland province, Luckson Mawanga, has been sucked into a ritual storm in a case where he is fighting for control of a gold mine in the district.

Mawanga, who heads Paari mining syndicate, recently lost an appeal against the cancellation of his certificate of registration of the mine.

Former Manicaland provincial mining director Omen Dube cancelled the certificate.

Paari Mining appealed to the Mines and Mining Development minister Winstone Chitando to stop the cancellation of registration after losing control of the mine to Twin Castle (Private) Limited.

Sources in Odzi yesterday told NewsDay Weekender that Mawanga reportedly carried out some rituals at the mine allegedly in the company of a traditional healer.

Mawanga came to the mine this week in Odzi and conducted some rituals as he is eager to control the mine. He tied an animal to a tree before conducting some rituals. He was accompanied by someone who we believe is a traditional healer. There were some eggs and some names written on a white paper which he left,” a source said.

“He entered the mine using a side which is not fenced. The councillor thought he was not being seen, but some security officials at the mine were very alert and saw him before he drove off. There were some names of Twin Castle directors written on the white paper left on the site.”

Mawanga was not immediately available for comment, but his son, Elisha, dismissed the ritual claims as untrue.

“These are just lies. We know what they are targeting and it’s very unfortunate that they are not doing very well at the mine,” he said.

“Support Local Industries”: Mandiwanzira Tells Gvt

By A Correspondent- Nyanga South legislator Supa Mandiwanzira (Zanu-PF) has urged government to support local industries to ensure job creation and grow the foreign currency revenue base.

Mandiwanzira made the remarks on Wednesday in the National Assembly while contributing to a motion on the State of the Nation Address by President Emmerson Mnangagwa last month.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to call upon the government to support an aggressive implementation of this (local empowerment) policy,” he said.

“Not only can we achieve success economically, but we can substitute imports or substitute the exportation of dividends by ensuring that a lot of the products are being made locally.

“We have a lot of investors who have come from outside the country to bottle our water so we can drink it. They purify our Harare water, they sell it to us. When they get their profits, they change the money and ship those profits outside the country, yet we can employ our young Zimbabweans in Nyanga and many other districts …”

The country has a Buy Zimbabwe campaign that seeks to inspire economic growth and competitiveness of local brands.

Zimbabwe also has a policy that reserves certain sectors for locals.

The reserved sectors include transport, retailing, wholesaling, hair salons, advertising agencies, estate agencies, grain milling, bakeries, tobacco grading and packaging and artisanal mining.

“The same applies to timber. We have (a huge forestry industry) in Nyanga, but we buy furniture in Harare, from China and South Africa. When you look at the price of some of the machinery to produce furniture, it is not expensive. It will honestly be embarrassing that we are importing furniture,” Mandiwanzira said.

The former ICT minister said the country could not continue losing potential foreign currency by not supporting local industry.

“We are letting go the opportunity of keeping that foreign currency that they (foreign entities) make as profit in this country – we are allowing it to leave the country,” Mandiwanzira said, adding there was need to also push foreign companies to invest in socials services infrastructure.

“We must say, ‘okay, you can access our lithium, but we are expecting you to build a dam in that area, you can access our lithium, but we expect you to build a hospital’ and not just a small clinic because the hospital will always be there to assist the community.”-Newsday

Happison Muchechetere Bounces Back

By A Correspondent- Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) chief executive Happison Muchechetere remains an employee after the Supreme Court overturned his expulsion from the State broadcaster six years ago.

Muchechetere was expelled from ZBC in 2015 after a hearing chaired by former High Court judge Justice James Devittie found him guilty of misconduct.

He had been on suspension for a year before on allegations of misconduct and prejudicing the corporation of over US$7 million.

Muchechetere was suspended on allegations of awarding himself and his executive team monthly hefty perks of up to US$44 000 each while other employees went unpaid for months.

He challenged his suspension and subsequent expulsion at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court heard his appeal last year, but reserved judgment.

In a judgement delivered on Thursday, Supreme Court judges Justices Elizabeth Gwaunza, Lavender Makoni and Tendai Uchena upheld his appeal in part, ruling that he remained an employee until the State broadcaster terminates his contract properly.

Muchechetere also wanted the court to clear him of misconduct charges.

The former ZBC boss argued that charges against him were constitutionally invalid and heretical as a matter of law.

He argued that his employer was not a procuring entity. Muchechetere said in his case, the corporation no longer existed as it was disbanded by statute.

It is alleged that Muchechetere entered a procurement deal to purchase an outside broadcasting (OB) van with a Chinese firm called China National Instruments Imports and Exports Corporation without going to tender on January 18, 2013.

It is also alleged that Muchechetere “doctored” the price of the OB van to the tune of US$1 050 000.

The offence came to light after Muchechetere’s suspension when it was discovered that the OB van had a market value of US$350 000.

Muchechetere is also the Zanu-PF Veterans for the Liberation Struggle Mashonaland West provincial chairperson and remains active in the party.-newsday

Minister Flees Women’s Meeting

The Minister of State for Masvingo, Ezra Chadzamira left a Zanu PF Women’s League function held at the Caravan Park in Masvingo on Saturday in huff allegedly after getting wind that a section of the gathering was waiting to pass a vote of no confidence on him.

The women from all party districts in Masvingo had gathered for a function of the Young Women in Business for Economic Development popularly known with the moniker Women for ED, an initiative by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to support women with economic projects and loans.

Ezra Chadzamira

-Masvingo Mirror

Zanu PF’s DCCs Back

By A Correspondent- Zanu-PF will resume restructuring the once disbanded district coordinating committee (DCCs) as the party looks to garner five million votes in the 2023 polls, a party official has said.

Following chaotic district and provincial elections, which were suspended indefinitely due to violence among the faction-ridden party structures, Zanu-PF’s acting national spokesperson Mike Bimha says the process will now resume under the watchful eye of the national leadership.

This comes after violence reared its ugly head in President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s political citadel, the Midlands, where his loyalists Owen Mudha Ncube and Daniel Mackenzie Ncube were mired in open confrontation over the party provincial chairperson’s position.

Initially, Mudha Ncube had shown interest in challenging the current provincial chair Mackenzie Ncube, as the battle for the control of the Midlands intensifies. But in a sudden turn of events, Mudha Ncube has given a nod to former youth league leader Edison Chakanyuka to contest Mackenzie Ncube.

“As preparation of the upcoming elections, we are restructuring through the district coordinating committee (DCC). This is an exercise aimed at quantifying our support base,” Bimha told The NewsHawks.

“The ruling party is targeting to mobilise five million votes. For now, the party has registered four million members and the list continues to grow daily. The exercise is being led by the party leadership in various provinces across the country to ensure there are proper structures at the lower level up to the provincial level. This restructuring is meant to ensure all party members are registered in their respective cells.”

Bimha said the restructuring exercise is also a reality check ahead of 2023. ‘

‘We are doing all this in preparation for 2023 harmonised elections. If we put our house in order and with a situation of having structures on paper but having nothing, we will be heading in the right direction for the upcoming elections,” Bimha said.

“In the past, we could hear that there were districts that existed only on paper, but the reality on the ground was that there were no branches. We are doing a good thing to know the number of people through a physical check,” he added.

Ahead of this year’s conference held in Bindura last week, faction-ridden Zanu-PF has endured bloody DCC elections. Last October, Zanu-PF primary polls to choose a Kwekwe Central parliamentary candidate for a by-election turned bloody following intense clashes between rival groups at the party’s Kwekwe district offices.

Police had to fire warning shots after being called to contain the situation which had spiraled out of control, as factions bludgeoned each other over the voters’ roll. Mnangagwa’s loyalists have been at the centre of mudslinging and social media smear campaigns.

Mnangagwa’s powerful allies in the Midlands, including July Moyo and Mudha Ncube, and in other provinces, were swept aside in district coordinating committee (DCC) elections that left him weaker. Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga has gained some ground of late.

DCCs had been unconstitutionally dissolved by the central committee in 2012. Amendments to the Zanu-PF constitution by the central committee are “subject to ratification by congress”. Mnangagwa and Chiwenga are on a collision course, with the vice-president intervening in Masvingo.

Provincial Affairs minister Ezra Chadzamira is under fire over corruption charges which have taken a factional dimension, as the Chiwenga camp now wants him out. War veterans are leading the charge. Chiwenga has previously been in Masvingo, where he challenged Chadzamira’s leadership and associated decisions, especially on land distribution, which The NewsHawks has covered relentlessly.

Zanu-PF officials say Chiwenga has been intervening in Masvingo and nationally through his key ally, former political commissar Engelbert Rugeje. Although Zanu-PF has perennially been plagued by grand factionalism, the current wave of squabbles, especially among Mnangagwa’s allies in the Midlands, has turned nasty.

While Mnangagwa had somewhat consolidated power within the top brass through purges of chief security officers involved in the 2017 coup and subsequent replacement with his loyalists, different dynamics are playing out at the grassroots.

Constant horse trading led to the postponement of provincial elections following chaotic scenes fanned by factional groups, triggering frustration at grassroots level. Mnangagwa has weak control mechanisms, as shown by the ongoing infighting in Masvingo and the Midlands, with analysts saying the President needs to rein in the warring factions if his bid for 2023 is to be successful.

During last week’s conference, Mnangagwa denounced intra-party violence and factional fights, but did not name individuals fanning party divisions, bringing into question his ability to hold his lieutenants to account.

Before that, he openly condemned factionalism during the party’s politburo meeting in Harare.

“Those who wantonly violate and desecrate our party constitution’s peaceful culture and values must be dealt with decisively without fear or favour,” Mnangagwa said.

Britain’s Senior Archbishop Tells ED’s Wutaunashe Sanctions Relief Is Not For Thieves Who Steal Their Own Country’s Money

By Simba Chikanza | Emmerson Mnangagwa’s personal prophet, Andrew Wutaunashe leading a small group of preachers who include Nehemiah Mutendi and Fidelis Mukonori last week, announced to the British community’s most senior religious advisor, the Archbishop of Canterbury, that he should tell the UK government to remove targeted sanctions against Mnangagwa and a close clique of aides.

Sibangilizwe Nkomo To Be Appointed Zimbabwe 2nd Vice President?

7 months have gone by, the Zanu pf annual conference has come and gone. But there is still a defeaning silence from the Zimbabwe presidium concerning the replacement of former 2nd VP Kembo Mohadi who unceremoniously resigned 7 months ago.

Who will replace him and when? Why is it taking President Emmerson Mnangagwa so long to replace Kembo Mohadi while it took just a few weeks for late President Robert Mugabe to replace Joice Mujuru?

That is the juicy part of the story!

We have taken note of the fact that in the 7 month  period of the absence of 2nd Vice President, a position reserved for Matabele in the Zimbabwe presidium,  not even one Matabele, outside or within Zanupf, has bothered to question let alone demand the appointment of another Matabele as 2nd Vice President of Zimbabwe.

They understand the situation better. Matabeles are now fully aware that this position is a political dummy meant to deceive them and the world that Zimbabweans (Shonas) and Matabele are united yet the relationship is that of an oppressor and the oppressed.

They also know that this inferior position is a mockery meant to humiliate Matabele people and used to send an unambiguous message that Matabeles are mere second class citizens in Zimbabwe.

Zanupf is on a desperate political drive to rescue its fictitious state formed on 18 April 1980 which is in a state of paralysis in Matabeleland. Matabeleland independence forces have poked serious holes into the so called Unity Accord and exposed tribal oppression, tribal hatred, tribal segregation and hegemony hidden behind the Unity Accord mask.

And this deceptive political arrangement has been squashed beyond repair under the big wheel of Matabeleland restoration cause, sending shock waves down the spine of the oppressor Harare.
Zanupf is facing rebellion within its own structures in Matabeleland. It’s provincial and lower structures are in a state of dysfunction as concietised  Matabeles are now openly resisting imposition of Shona leaders resulting in political chaos ie tribal tensions which has lead to periodical suspension of Zanupf structures in Matabeleland.

Many if not all Matabele people refuse to be addressed in Shona, the language of oppression, causing a political headach for Zanupf and Shona supremacist government of Zimbabwe as this is a clear sign of rejection. We have taken the war right into the enemy camp.

Enter Sibangilizwe Nkomo. He wears indlukula ( traditional head gear) and carries a staff which were his late father and 2nd Vice President of Zimbabwe’s political identity. The fellow is ridding on his father’s political wave. But on the political scale he is a light weight that lacks knowledge, swag, colour, charisma and character. In short he is a political joke in comparison to his father.

But his masters in Harare strongly believe that the political novice  possesses a political magnet to pull all Matabeles towards the slaughter house which is Harare and rescue Zimbabwe, which is clearly crumbling under the mighty pressure exerted by the Matabeleland revolution.

He has been roped in by the Zimbabwe government mainly to kill Matabeleland cause using ZAPU and the the political brand, “Nkomo”. When tribal oppressors are grasping at straws to save a fast disentergrating fake state!.

Beware yee Matabele! There comes a wolf in the ship skin. He shall denounce Matabeleland cause based on a lie that his father was against it and sign a new Unity Accord with President Mnangagwa to become the 2nd Vice President of Zimbabwe. That is the reason why Mnangagwa is delaying the appointment of the new 2nd VP. He is waiting for his plant , Sibangilizwe Nkomo, to gain political ground in Matabeleland.

Said one member of the first ZAPU Council of Elders about Sibangilizwe’s controversial rise to ZAPU leadership, “All of us are still shocked to learn that he is throwing his hat in the ring as a contender for ZAPU leadership. Early one morning l woke up to a headline that says “Sibangilizwe wants to lead ZAPU”. I could not believe that here is a man who has never set foot in any of the ZAPU meeting including those held at his (Dr Nkomo’s residence in Phelandaba) for more than 30 years, when he will drive off leaving us alone. How this man wants to lead ZAPU at this point beats imagination.” Who is this man, not recognised by the ZAPU Council of Elders? This says it all. A turncoat out to mislead the people of Matabeleland.

The political brand, “Nkomo” has been used and abused by the Shona supremacist government of Zimbabwe  to mislead the people of Matabeleland since 1987.The tactic has worked like magic for the oppressors in Harare until now when the people of Matabeleland have realised that following the brand “Nkomo” is like voluntarily walking into a slaughter house in Harare. People of Matabeleland created that brand and it is in their hands to destroy it especially now that it is used by the enemy to oppress them.

All eyes in Matabeleland are on Sibangelizwe Nkomo. People are watching each and every move of his. Never again shall the people of Matabeleland be led into oppression by one selfish Nkomo family member who cannot think beyond bread crumbs and small change that he receives from Harare.

We know Joshua Nkomo and his son Sibangilizwe Nkomo as sons of Matabeleland. But the Nkomo brand as hijacked by the enemies of Matabeleland is dangerous to Matabele nation.

Only a fool will believe that the Nkomos own Matabeleland such that they would follow any political dwarf as long as they carry the Nkomo surname. Only a fool will believe that Matabeles will fall for this latest and cheapest political strategy.

Matabeles are not political blind. They know what they want. It is not Zimbabwe that they want. It is not Sibangilizwe or any Nkomo that they want. But they want the restoration of Matabeleland independence and sovereignty.

How To Hide The Second Blue Tick On WhatsApp

Perhaps for some reason, you don’t want your contacts to know that you have received and read their WhatsApp messages.

You want it to appear as if you haven’t received and seen the message at all.

Look, constant online back and forth can be exhausting and sometimes you’re too busy with work or something else to give personal chats your undivided attention.

Luckily for you, WhatsApp has features which allow you to customize your messages.

Normally, double ticks mean your message has been delivered to the person’s WhatsApp.

You’re guaranteed that if they come online at any given time they will see your message notification whether they want to or not.

Blue ticks (when enabled) mean that a person has not only received your message but they have read it as well.

One tick means that your message was sent but hasn’t been receive or read.

So when you enable the one tick option on your WhatsApp, your contact will think their message wasn’t delivered to you and you haven’t seen it or read it when you in fact have done so.

Ordinary WhatsApp users can disable their blue ticks settings leaving them with the the grey ticks only, which just show that your message was delivered but does not specify if it was read.

Open Your WhatsApp, tap on the 3 dots at the upper right of the display screen and select settings<accounts<privacy<turn off the read receipts feature.

Note:If you disable your read receipts, it means you can’t also see if others have read your messages as well. Fair right?

Now for those who want to take it a step further and settle for one tick only.

You need GBWhatsApp for this, unfortunately you can not manipulate your way through messages on the ordinary WhatsApp.

GBWhatsApp can be downloaded on gbmod.co

For more comprehensive details on the advantages of GBWhatsApp and its features you need to need to read this article.

Assuming that you have GBWhatsApp or have downloaded it and set it up. You tap the 3 dots on the top right of your WhatsApp screen.

Select settings < privacy<second tick

The second tick will be disabled and that way when a contact sends you a message, they won’t know when you received it or read it.

To them, it will just appear like you didn’t get it at all.

Robber Nabbed After Victim Visits Madzibaba

When reached for comment the businessman confirmed that he consulted Madzibaba Mutumwa for divine intervention so that he could recover his money. He said:

It’s true that I consulted him (Madzibaba Mutumwa) and that is when he told me that the suspects would be arrested. One of them has since been arrested and appeared in court. I had no doubts that his prayers worked.

People should also know that when having such problems, it’s all about believing when one consults any man of God.

Prophet Sells M*sturbation Kit, Says Women Bring Stress, STI’s…

Own Correspondent
The people of Zimbabwe are shocked by claims that Prophet Isaac Makomichi (the one behind the story of moving the Marimba mountain) is selling masturbation kits.

The full set includes white and blue gloves…

The preacher is known for “making people rich and mending love matters” through what he calls the love potion herb though some Christians say his powers are from the secret world.

“This is a big lie, someone is trying to tarnish the name of the prophet. As a church we have never heard about this issue or else call him on 0777469342 and he will answer you.

He will never do such a thing,” fumed one Shantelle who identified herself as Makomichi’s personal assistant.

One Tichaona says he is ready to buy the masturbation kit as long as it frees him from the stress which is being caused by his wife…
