Harare Businessman Abandoned By Wife

A Harare businessman is hunting for his wife who left their matrimonial house just TWO weeks after their wedding ceremony two years ago.

Blessing Togarasei said he wedded Natasha Chamisa, after paying US$18 000 lobola, but things took a twist after their honeymoon.

He said Natasha, who was already prǝgnɑnt, left without giving any reason.

Blessing said they tried to reconcile after the birth of his child in 2021.

But, things didn’t work out and he has never seen or heard about her whereabouts.

Blessing has been circulating a message on social media pleading for anyone, who knows about Natasha and his child’s whereabouts, to contact him.

He said he still l0ved his wife.

“I was charged US$18 000 but my wife is on the run with my child.

“I am looking for her and I will sue anyone who is staying with my wife for US$1 million.

“Her relatives say they do not know where she is. The child is not well and needs treatment at the hospital.

“You may make fun of my situation, but I want my sick son so I can get him good treatment.

“Apa my wife has blocked me.”

He said during the Covid-19 lockdown, a certain pastor approached him and told him that Natasha had been chosen for him by God.

“I took his advice and married her. But when she discovered that I was still building, when she expected to find a fully-furnished house, she just changed.

“She would provoke me hoping that I would retaliate by assaulting her, but I did not.

“I then invited her aunt over and Natasha told her that I am a liar and she didn’t see any future in me.”

He added: “During the conversation, she packed her bags and left.

“I supported her prǝgnɑncy and paid for all the bills and brought her back home after some deliberations with her relatives.

“She tried to jump out of the car while we were on our way to church.

“The following Sunday I did not go with her only to come back to an empty house.”

Natasha later approached the Civil Court for maintenance demanding US$1 300 per month.

Natasha’s uncle, Sekuru Chamisa, said he was not aware of the developments.

Life In Prison For Gays In Uganda

By BBC-The parliament of Uganda has passed a new bill that will see gays being imprisoned for life.

It also includes the death penalty in some instances.

A rights activist told the BBC the debate around the bill had led to fear of more attacks on gay people.

“There is a lot of blackmail. People are receiving calls that ‘if you don’t give me money, I will report that you are gay,'” they said.

The bill is one of the toughest pieces of anti-gay legislation in Africa.

Homosexual acts are already illegal in Uganda but this bill introduces many new criminal offences.

As well as making merely identifying as gay illegal for the first time, friends, family and members of the community would have a duty to report individuals in same-sex relationships to the authorities.

It was passed with widespread support in Uganda’s parliament on Tuesday evening.

Amnesty International has called the bill, which criminalises same-sex between consenting adults “appalling”, “ambiguous” and “vaguely worded”.

“This deeply repressive legislation will institutionalise discrimination, hatred, and prejudice against LGBTI people – including those who are perceived to be LGBTI – and block the legitimate work of civil society, public health professionals, and community leaders,” said Tigere Chagutah, Amnesty International’s director for East and Southern Africa.

It has also been condemned by both US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the UK’s Africa Minister Andrew Mitchell.

In the weeks before the debate, anti-homosexual sentiment was prominent in the media, an activist who wanted to remain anonymous told the BBC.

“Members of the queer community have been blackmailed, extorted for money or even lured into traps for mob attacks,” the activist said.

“In some areas even law enforcers are using the current environment to extort money from people who they accuse of being gay. Even some families are reporting their own children to the police.”

The bill will now go to President Yoweri Museveni who can choose to use his veto – and maintain good relations with Western donors and investors – or sign it into law.

He has made several anti-gay comments in recent weeks, and also criticised Western countries for putting pressure on Uganda over the issue.

Another gay rights activist accused the government of using the bill to distract the public from its failures to address some of their pressing economic concerns.

“They are trying to drum up anti-gay rhetoric to divert attention from really what is important to Ugandans in general. There is no reason why you should have a bill that criminalises individuals that are having consensual same-sex adult relationships,” Clare Byarugaba, LGBTQ+ Rights Activist, Chapter Four Uganda told the BBC.

The bill’s backers say they are trying to protect children but Ms Byarugaba said: “Whether you’re heterosexual or homosexual, the government and parliament should introduce laws, or at least implement existing laws that protect all children – boys, girls from defilement. So the issue of recruitment has been unproven, it is baseless, it is biased.””

The final version has yet to be officially published but elements discussed in parliament include:

  • A person who is convicted of grooming or trafficking children for purposes of engaging them in homosexual activities faces life in prison
  • Individuals or institutions which support or fund LGBT rights’ activities or organisations, or publish, broadcast and distribute pro-gay media material and literature, also face prosecution and imprisonment
  • Media groups, journalists and publishers face prosecution and imprisonment for publishing, broadcasting, distribution of any content that advocates for gay rights or “promotes homosexuality”
  • Death penalty for what is described as “aggravated homosexuality”, that is sexual abuse of a child, a person with disability or vulnerable people, or in cases where a victim of homosexual assault is infected with a life-long illness
  • Property owners also face risk of being jailed if their premises are used as a “brothel” for homosexual acts or any other sexual minorities rights’ activities

A small group of Ugandan MPs on a committee scrutinising the bill disagreed with its premise. They argue the offences it seeks to criminalise are already covered in the country’s Penal Code Act.

In 2014, Uganda’s constitutional court nullified another act which had toughened laws against the LGBT community.

It included making it illegal to promote and fund LGBT groups and activities, as well as reiterating that homosexual acts should be punished by life imprisonment, and was widely condemned by Western countries.

The court ruled that the legislation be revoked because it had been passed by parliament without the required quorum.

Same-sex relations are banned in about 30 African countries, where many people uphold conservative religious and social values.

Residents Loot Cooking Oil From Overturned Tanker

By- Dozens of Bulawayo’s Mahatshula residential area residents and passing motorists feasted on free cooking oil after a trailer carrying the commodity disengaged from a truck and fell by the roadside.

The incident happened Monday along the Bulawayo Harare road.

The truck was coming from South Africa en route to Zambia when the incident occurred late in the afternoon.
When a Chronicle arrived at the scene the Bulawayo Fire Brigade, police and the Environmental Management Agency were already on site. The emergency services struggled to ward off the people who were pushing and shoving to collect the liquid.
The Fire Brigade resorted to spraying the crowds with water in a bid to control them to no avail as people were determined to get free cooking oil.
The driver of the truck who declined to be identified said he was carrying 33 tonnes of the edible oil when the smaller 8-tonne trailer disengaged. He could not tell how much litres were in the trailer which fell some metres off the busy highway.
“I cannot say much because I don’t want to be in the media, but I just felt a strong push and the trailer was swinging from different directions. The trailer then disengaged and overturned by its side. I am not hurt and the rest of the truck is okay. I could not do anything to stop people from looting,” he said.
A resident, Mr Godknows Matumbu said he was drinking beer at a nearby bottle store when he received the news and rushed to the scene.
“I don’t know what exactly transpired as I was relaxing with friends at a bottle store. I received a call from a friend telling me to rush with containers to collect cooking oil. We filled 40 litres but it was not easy due to the disorder. Cooking oil is very expensive so this will push us,” he said as he hurried back home carrying a 20-litre container.
Another man from the suburb who refused to reveal his identity said he drove to the scene after getting the “good” news.
He said he initially hesitated thinking the truck was carrying petrol, but when he got assurance that it was cooking oil he joined the crowd.

“We don’t know what happened for the trailer to be on its side but as you can see we have the cooking oil. We brought a number of containers and we have filled almost all of them. For now, I cannot say what we will do with them. What is important is that we have cooking oil. They poured water on us and we retreated for a little while and returned,” he said.
Another resident Mr Njabuliso Maphosa said he was driving to the city centre to collect water when he saw people collecting the cooking oil.
“I stopped my car and asked what people were collecting and when they said cooking oil I put on hold the water mission and joined the crowd. I managed to fill a 20-liter container which I will take home. But I made sure that it was not petrol because with the explosions associated with petrol when such incidents happen, this would have been a disaster,” he said
Ms Mercy Dube said she was relaxing at home when she was called by her neighbours and also rushed with containers. She said she will send some of her loot to her family in her rural home.
“We ran here with our containers after being told of what had happened. We are very happy for the oil and the fact that no one was injured. But the pushing and shoving is what I fear may cause injuries because the ground is now slippery due to the spill.
At least we will save by not buying oil now and we also share my relatives back home,” she said.
Miss Marvellous Gwenzi said it was tough for women as men used their muscle to push them aside. EMA Provincial Environmental Quality Officer Mr Fredrick Maponga said they are investigating the incident.
Mr Maponga warned members of the public to desist from collecting liquids from trucks that would have been involved in incidents as that poses danger to them. Chronicle

Chelsea Keen To Terminate Aubameyang Contract

Chelsea are reportedly furious with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the forward travelled to Spain without the club’s permission.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, as cited by Goal.com, the former Gabon captain attended Sunday’s El Clasico at Camp Nou and had a dressing room conversation with Barca players after the 2-1 victory over Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old openly expressed his desire to return to the club during the chat.

It is thought he would even be willing to take a pay cut in order to facilitate the move.

The publication adds that the trip hasn’t gone down too well in west London. The Blues are now reportedly open to terminating the striker’s contract a year early and let him link back up with the Catalan club in the summer.

Aubameyang has featured just 18 times for Chelsea this season, scoring three while his match action has been massively reduced since the World Cup. He was left out of Potter’s Champions League squad and it is widely expected that he will depart in the summer.- Soccer24 News

I Don’t Feel Sorry For Hazard: Kroos

Toni Kroos has claimed he does not feel sorry for team-mate Eden Hazard after the Belgian spoke of his disappointment after being frozen out at Real Madrid this season.

Hazard is enduring a frustrating spell in Madrid due to inconsistency and injuries.

The situation was recently made worse by coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has frozen the player out of the squad despite him being fit to play.

Hazard hasn’t featured a single minute of La Liga or Champions League action since returning from the World Cup campaign.

In an interview last week, the Belgian bemoaned about his lake of game, saying: “I want to play. I want to have fun on the field.

“Training is good but what keeps us alive are the matches. I hope deep inside me that I can bring something and that the coach is still counting on me, I hope.

“We’ll see if I’m still going to play by the end of the season. I doubt a little. It’s up to me to show him in training that he can call on me.”

Kroos, however, has admitted he has no sympathy for the forward, telling Eleven Belgium: “Of course it is a difficult situation, but pity is misplaced in football.

“I don’t believe Eden has a bad life. You can feel sorry for people who have it much worse than him. It’s not about money, I don’t feel sorry for anyone in football.

“It’s a tricky situation, yes. And it’s been a long time. But in the end, everyone is partly responsible for their own situation. I know Eden very well, we are often together. But I feel sorry for people who have it very bad and Eden is not one of them.”- Soccer24 News

Managing Debt In Mining

X factors of mining “

practical lessons to mining

Like every business mining has its key factors that can make it do extremely well or fail .

Most miners think a good sample will make them succeed unfortunately a good sample is not sustainable unless you know the importance of the following factors in the mining sector. If you master them day by day you will blossom even in dark days and enjoy glory days to the fullest.

Enjoy the ride .
Three pillars of wholesome mining in order
1 strategic management
2 Debt
3 the boss ” gold panner ” tsheketsha korokoza

1 strategic management
The mine manager is key to function his impact is so crucial such his complete absence can be measured by a lot of red flags like low output ; loss of equipment; no records ; lack of proper compliance and production that cannot be measured let alone be sustainable. Before you appoint a manager know your weakness and hire someone who will compliment your weakness. Secondly create a management team that involves you and him stop cellphone management of any kind . Cellphones are good for reports and analysis only . To your team third person in form of someone who compliments his weak ; it can be a blaster or cyanide plant manager depending on which area your manager is good at .

First attribute of your manager should be administration before anything then followed by one of the two pillars of mining leaching and mining. The security guard is not part of management must not be at whatever costs .

Your relatives ( including your wife and kids ) should get a job somewhere else or be prepared to take instructions from a management team never to directly report to you no matter what. Don’t discuss mining issues with them listen to their opinions silently unless if they qualify then appoint them . Paid management team and all your employees well and fire them for underperformance never rehire someone fired by management team .
Debt .

Debt is a cancer affecting the whole world unfortunately in artisanal mining Debt is what Cellphone lines are to econet , Lithium is to Tesla car , imagine if econet will stop selling lines without coming up with an alternative. Most of mining services are paying after work completion which is root causes of all Debts you hear about in mining stories. First artisanal miners use cheapest means to reap gold Most cases they don’t have transport and milling means this leads to smart loans by service providers then all problems begin here .

On top of that all services are available on short term based loan usually supported by black market indirectly which explains why black market cannot disappear overnight.

Since gold is not guaranteed failure to pay these loans forces credit to accumulate to so high levels such that its not surprising to find a mine owner or even worker owing 20 000usd or more ranging from diesel credit, stampmill credit, explosives credit ; rental and electricity credit for domestic purposes or many more .

Inorder to survive you have to acquire debt management skills that are not only superb but partnered with discipline. When you decide to invest in a mine a guy with more debt is the perfect partner depending on your analysis because of few factors. If he/she has more it means his mine has a huge potential just mismanagement who can borrow someone with no means to pay .

Number two you use his/ her debt as insurance through what l call debt purchase ” . This desires caution carefully study and implementation.

You take his debt but still keep it in his name negotiate for payment plan where possible complete erasing of some of them ( that’s possible ) then use his debt to double you investment on him takes years repairing his debt yet already making profits on it . Let’s miner F owes EMA 3000usd for bills and tickets ; 1500usd ministry of mines tickets; 2000usd stamp mill and 4500usd for car loan and family expenses to make 11 000usd yet you want to invest 25 000usd in his mine you just raise 14 000usd buy his 11 000usd debt ask for payment from ministry of mines and EMA then ask to pay half for stampmill debt or complete erasure then negotiate for transfer of registration first things first then you are in the game .Debt purchase is easier route into a full operational mine . Sometimes you buy personal debt only but be cautious. Will cover debt in a separate post .
3 The boss “tsheketsha; korokoza “
We have a saying ” impara ngelikatsheketsha ” . This means every goldminer has a dry spell or good spell . This means no matter how cautious you are the dry spell will hit you very hard . When supporting this guys financial remember this all the time support them based on performance in areas Iike 1 transparency; consistency, accountability more than the sample. Don’t support them when they are doing well by buying cars and houses at that point they don’t need your help they simply want to use you . Treat them as Kings all the time but don’t borrow them money like you are mother Theresa support them don’t spoiler them hunger and suffering is the manager of “the boss ” the rest is cost . Respect them their dirty is the business part personally any clean person in the mining sector Most probably is a scammmer l don’t trust such lots of them proved to me beyond doubt .

NB for debt purchase model inbox or even debt purchase itself.

Zanu PF Announces New Dates For Delayed Primaries

By- Zanu PF has announced the new dates for its aborted primary elections.

The internal polls were postponed last week because of chaos in the planning system and will now be held this Saturday.

In an update, the party’s political commissar, Mike Bimha said his boss, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, had slated the primary elections for 25 March 2023. He said:

The Politburo finalized the list of candidates. His Excellency directed that the primary elections will be held on Saturday 25 March from 7.00 to 4 pm.

The thrust was to make sure that everyone meeting the criteria was not blocked. The PB met on Monday to go through the CVs. A decision was made to allow members from the CCC and MdC as returnees to contest if they wanted to for any seats that they so desired.

Those from CCC were, however, denied to contest at the senatorial level.

Bimha said the results of the primary elections will be announced next week.

He also said the provinces, led by the Politburo, are holding meetings to announce the members who qualified to contest in the election.

Those who would have won in the primary elections will represent ZANU PF in the national harmonised elections scheduled for July this year.

Zanu PF Goons Cause Havoc In Kuwadzana

Tinashe Sambiri|Zanu PF hooligans clad in party regalia are causing mayhem in Kuwadzana, disrupting the voter registration exercise during the melee.

According to CCC’s MP for Kuwadzana, Hon Johnson Matambo, the Zanu PF goons are intimidating residents, forcing them to produce voter registration slips.

“There is a worrisome trend we are observing in Kuwadzana. Zanu PF goons wearing party regalia are intimidating residents.

At Kuwadzana 7 Primary School the hooligans tormented residents at will and nobody stopped them. This is a clear violation of key electoral processes.

We are therefore raising the alarm, hoping responsible authorities will take appropriate action. This has been happening from Sunday March 19 to today and we are deeply concerned about such uncouth behaviour,” said Hon Matambo.

Stay Away From Politics, President Chamisa Tells Chiefs

Tinashe Sambiri|The interface meetings held by CCC leader President Nelson Chamisa in the past few days have left Zanu PF honchos quaking in their boots.

That President Chamisa’s yellow revolution swept across Mashonaland West and Mashonaland East is a thorn in the flesh for Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa and his ilk.

See President Chamisa’s brief statements on the interface meetings:

“YELLOW ROARS…Deep in Rural Mashonaland East today… We held our citizens Interface in Murehwa. A fantastic Citizens feedback and resilience. The future is exciting..#Godisinit.”

“… I was in Chief Charumbira’s area as we were laying to rest Mayor Mafumhe’s mother, Gogo Mafumhe in Bondolfi, Masvingo.

Chiefs, above politics, are an integral part of our national fabric as custodians of our culture, traditions and pride. We are #onepeople. RIP Gogo.”

“We will attract leaders who think quickly, deftly, wisely, sharply &out of the box across the political party divide.

We will focus incisive attention &leadership on growth, transformation, job creation, massive infrastructure development &nation building upon peace &reconciliation.”

CCC Namibia Calls For Immediate Release Of Job Sikhala

CCC Namibia continues to demand the immediate and unconditional release of Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala.

22 March 2023

Social democrats who are residents of Namibia are radically calling for revolutionary action in Zimbabwe and abroad in solidarity with the prisoner of conscience, Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala. Today is #WiwaWednesday, a special day change champions resonated to illustrate the solidarity with the victim of state repression. It is now close to a year since the illegal arrest of the vibrant interim vice-chairperson on concocted charges.

It is infuriating to figure out that the clueless state has dismally failed to convict the firebrand leader since his state-sponsored arrest despite a clear lack of evidence. The court recently threw away Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala’s application for discharge on the case of obstruction of justice regardless of their incapacity to provide incontrovertible evidence against the change ambassador. It has become apparent that Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala is a political prisoner who has endured ZANU-PF torture for 282 days in the hell-hole of Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison for crimes he did not commit.

What perturbs change champions in Namibia is that even murderers are enjoying their constitutional right to bail but the officer of the court and Mp for Zengeza West is rotting in jail! We are calling upon SADC, AU, and the international community to amplify their authoritative voices demanding freedom, justice, and equality in the motherland. It is not criminal to demand justice for the deceased Moreblessing Ali. It ‘s not an offense to stand in as the Ali family attorney. #WiwaWednesday.

Wiwa should be released unconditionally because he is innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law. Where is our solidarity when Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala proceeds with this state-sponsored torture through long pre-trial detention? It is crystal clear that Hon Job Sikhala is being used to deter social democrats who are inspired by the varlour , nerve, and mettle in his astute leadership. After arbitrary arrests for more 65 times, Wiwa did not face any conviction, it boggles the sane minds when ZANU-PF continues to target him for his political beliefs.

Is it a crime to fight state-sponsored abductions and gross abuse of the fundamental basic freedoms? Is it a crime to belong to the Citizens Coalition for Change led by the Change Champion in Chief, President Advocate Nelson Chamisa? SADC and AU must intervene in solidarity with the incarcerated Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala. Zengeza West has been deliberately orphaned by the satanic regime to slow down voter registration, recruitment, and radicalization ahead of the crucial watershed elections scheduled for July\August 2023.

Moreover, ZANU-PF has exhibited its undoubted panic ahead of the harmonized elections. The unconstitutional detention of Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala is an attempt to rig the elections through intimidation, coercion, and torment. Wiwa is in anguish because of the impending elections. They are afraid of his extraordinary capacity to mobilize and radicalize the masses in our beloved country. CCC Namibia needs freedom, justice, and equality in the fatherland. ZANU PF should desist from capturing the judiciary, we demand the independence of the courts and all other state institutions.

Furthermore, CCC Namibia shall not tire in its revolutionary endeavor to ensure that Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala is reunited with his loving family. ZANU PF intends to break the fighting psyche of both Hon Job Sikhala and the resilience showcased by the family. The district urges all change champions across the globe to give moral, material, and financial support to the disadvantaged family. Wiwa is the father and breadwinner in the family, 282 days caged at Chikurubi translates to agony in the family! Who is putting food on the table? The sadist regime does not care!

It is our revolutionary obligation to give support to the incarcerated members of the political behemoth. Solidarity!Solidarity!Solidarity!Solidarity!Solidarity! With Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala. He deserves the freedom and justice like any other citizen. #WiwaWednesday. We say no to the selective application of the law. We say no lawfare! #ZANUPFMustGo.

Key First Aid Tips For Miners

Compiled by Dr Ellane Simon

First aid should can be offered by anyone but ideally trained personnel to give first aid should offer first aid. When offering first aid always consider your personal safety first. Look out for any dangers and only act when you are confident it is safe to do so.
An unresponsive person is someone not moving or responding when you call them or when gently shaken.

Respiratory emergencies & CPR

  1. Check if breathing by tilting their head back and looking and feeling for breaths.

When a person is unresponsive, their muscles relax and their tongue can block their airway so they can no longer breathe. Tilting their head back opens the airway by pulling the tongue forward. If they are breathing, you will see their chest moving and you may hear their breath or feel it on your cheek. If breathing, move on to step two.

  1. Move them onto their side and tilt their head back. Putting them in this position with their head back helps keep their airway open. It ensures their tongue falls forward and blood and vomit drain out. It is sometimes called the “recovery position”.
  2. Call for help or an ambulance as soon as possible.
  3. If the patient needs CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), place the person on their back on a firm, flat surface and start giving chest compressions aiming for 30compressions in 1minute.
    How to do CPR
Hand position: Two hands centered on the chest
Body position: Shoulders directly over hands; elbows locked
    Depth: At least 5cm
Allow chest to return to normal position after every chest compression.

5 Give 2 rescue breaths (if equipment to do that available). Ensure each breath lasts about 1 second and makes the chest rise; allow air to exit before giving the next breath.

Gas leak, Fire & Burns

  1. Turn off gas if safe to do
  2. Evacuate the area immediately
  3. Do not switch any lights or start an open flame
  4. If there is fire use a fire extinguisher to stop the fire from spreading and ring the fire alarm alerting everyone to evacuate the building.
  5. If someone is on fire remove the person from the source of fire, drop and roll him or her over or cover him or her with a fire blanket.
  6. Cool burn under running water
  7. Protect the burn with sterile, non-adhesive bandage (DO NOT APPLY BUTTER OR OINTMENTS)
  8. Do not break blisters
  9. Call for an ambulance and send to hospital

Chemical spill

  1. Remove spoiled clothing
  2. If skin or eyes affected rinse immediately with clean running water
  3. If ingested do not induce vomiting and do not give water or mi unless told to d so by a health professional.
  4. If inhaled move the person to fresh air and give oxygen if available.
  5. After first aid is given send to hospital as soon as possible.

Thief Breaks Into Lover’s Landlord’s Home

By A Correspondent- A daring Chiweshe thief broke into his girlfriend’s landlord’s house and stole cellphones and money after failing to locate his girlfriend.

Takunda Banda (20) of Mupandenyama village, Chiweshe was dragged to Concession magistrates courts yesterday for unlawful entry.

He pleaded guilty before magistrate Mr Joshua Nembaware who slapped him with an 18-month effective jail term.

In his plea of guilty he told the magistrate that he stole the property because his girlfriend was not on the premise

“Your worship l had come for a quality time with my girlfriend so when l failed to locate her l then thought of stealing the property,” he said.

Prosecutor Ms Precious Khanye told the court that March 16 Banda went to Anold Tauya’s place of residence where his girlfriend also resides.

He searched for his girlfriend and failed to locate her before breaking into Tauya’s house.

He then stole two mobile phones and US$260 and went away.

A police report was filed leading to the arrest of Banda.

“Its Unfair Labour Practice”: PTUZ

By A Correspondent- The Progressive Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) has criticised the government for unilaterally increasing workers’ salaries by 100%. In a statement, PTUZ president, Dr Takavafira Zhou said the government communicated the increase amid negotiations. He said:

That the government team of negotiators in the NJNC (National Joint Negotiating Council)  failed to turn up for a pencilled meeting on 20 March is unfortunate in a country 43 years after attaining independence. Needless to mention that it was the government team of negotiators that had postponed the meeting from 17th of March. As if that was not enough a government document dated 15 March, from Sec for Finance & Economic Development (G. Guvamatanga) to the chairman of the Public Service Commission (Dr V. Hungwe) seems to communicate the government’s official position on salary increments. What is worrisome is that authentic communication is made before the conclusion of negotiations, an indicator of unfair labour practice on the part of the government.

The government’s ultimate unilateral offer comprises:

1. A 100% remuneration review of ZWL emoluments from the Deputy Director and below for all sectors.
2. An increase of cushion and covid allowance from US$200 to US$250 across all sectors excluding the health sector
3. A US$80 teaching allowance to every teacher (indexed to interbank rate)
4. An increase in cushion and covid allowance for govt pensioners from US$90 to US$100.
5. Free Primary Education up to a maximum of 3 children at govt schools
6. Gvt funded funeral insurance framework

Some context:

Figures circulated in the communique are a product of figures discussed in the second meeting with workers’ representatives.

The government had initially offered a 50% ZWL salary review and an increase of cushion and COVID-19 allowances from US$200 to US$220.

Teachers and the rest of the civil service are demanding US$540 which they were being paid until October 2018.

The security sector salary review and cushion allowances are with effect from 1 February and 1 March 2023, respectively and are already being paid.

On the contrary, teachers and the rest of the civil servants’ salary review, cushion and COVID-19 allowances are postdated to 1 April 2023.

Zhou described this as “naked discrimination” and “a monument of Zimbabwean labour injustice.” He added:

We don’t need to have access to guns in order to be treated in the same manner as our brothers and sisters in the security sector. We don’t begrudge their salaries but outright discrimination as professionals in the total flouting of our national constitution.

As Ptuz we want, therefore, to reiterate that it would be naive to blame negotiators for government unilateralism and discrimination against teachers and the rest of the civil servants. The blame must be laid squarely on the government’s desire to generate industrial disharmony that militates against productivity in the workplace. Above all, govt is undermining trade unions in Zimbabwe in a dangerous attempt to capture workers by false paternalistic antics.

2018 to date:

Zimbabwe has experienced significant economic challenges in recent years, including high inflation rates and currency devaluation.

These challenges have led to widespread wage cuts and layoffs in many sectors, leaving many workers struggling to make ends meet.

In 2018, the government of Zimbabwe announced a salary increase for civil servants, which was seen as a positive development by many workers. However, the impact of this increase was limited by inflation and the devaluation of the Zimbabwean dollar, which has continued to depreciate against major currencies.

Over the years, healthcare workers, teachers, and civil servants have embarked on industrial action demanding better pay and working conditions.

The strikes were met with a heavy-handed response from the government.

100% Salary Increment For Civil Servants

The Government has approved a 100% salary increment for civil servants including the members of the security sector.

According to a letter dated 16 March 2023, addressed to the chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) by Finance ministry permanent secretary George Guvamatanga, COVID-19 allowances for civil servants have also been increased from US$200 to $250 across sectors excluding the health sector. Part of the letter reads:

RE: 2023 REMUNERATION FRAMEWORK FOR THE CIVIL COMMISSIONS, PARLIAMENT OF ZIMBABWE, GRANT GOVERNMENT PENSIONERS

Reference is made to Treasury minutes A/26/1/8/1 dated 7 March 2023 and 13 March 2023 on the above subject matter.

The purpose of this minute is to provide guidance on the framework for the 2023 compensation review, together with strategies for addressing wage inequalities brought about by prior sector-specific policy decisions.

The approved framework for remuneration reviews takes into account the requirement to continuously enhance the general welfare of public employees while attempting to stay within the budget and respecting the general rule of maintaining wage bills at sustainable levels so as not to compete with other expenditures.

The approved review is as follows and is in accordance with earlier discussions and agreement with the Principals:

  • 100% remuneration review to gross ZWL emoluments from Deputy Director and below for all sectors
  • Reviewing Cushioning and Covid Allowances from US$200 to US$250 across all sectors, excluding health sector
  • Reviewing Cushioning and Covid Allowance for Government Pensioners from US$90 to US$100
  • Payment of US$80 teaching allowance to every teacher per month. This is an improvement to the school fees policy which discriminated against those teachers with no biological children
  • Free Primary school education up to a maximum of 3 children at government schools within the radius and
  • Introducing a government-funded funeral insurance framework

The approved review of 100% remuneration to gross ZWL emoluments from Deputy Director and below for all sectors, takes effect on February 1st, 2023 for the Security Sector and April 1st, 2023 for the Rest of the Civil Service.

Furthermore, the increase in Cushioning and Covid Allowances from US$200 to US$250 across all sectors, with the exception of the health sector, takes effect on March 1, 2023 for the Security Sector and April 1, 2023 for the Rest of the Civil Service, taking into account March 2023 developments in the security sector.

In accordance with the approval of 100% remuneration review to gross ZWLS emoluments from Deputy Director and below, the salary key scale for the lowest paid worker for the security sector is therefore expected to be 100% of the gross ZWLS emoluments as per the attached schedule annexure 1 for selected grades as of 1 February 2023.

In that regard, the Salary key scale and wage bill should reflect the approved review as illustrated in the attached example for the positions of the lowest paid to Deputy Director equivalent levels across all sectors including Security Sector.

Given that the effective date is February 2023, it is critical to note that the March bills for the security sector included the February back pay for the gross ZWL emoluments from Deputy Director equivalent grades and below.

Furthermore, to avoid similar occurrences in the future, the Salary Service Bureau should implement salary reviews after the requisite salary key scales have been validated by Treasury.

Accordingly, Treasury awaits submission of the salary key scales for respective sectors for approval.

By A Correspondent- Police in Chivhu, Midlands Province are requesting members of the public to help identify the body of an unknown armed robber who was shot dead as he tried breaking into a house in the area.

The man, who could not be identified, was shot dead by the owner of the house which they tried to raid whilst his accomplices fled.

“The ZRP is appealing for information which may assist in the identification of a male adult who died in a shooting incident which occurred at a certain house in Chivhu on 18 March 2023,” wrote police on their official Twitter page.

“The victim was shot after breaking into the complainant’s house and was accompanied by his accomplice who escaped. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” further wrote police.

Teachers Reject Govt 100 Percent Salary Increase

Teachers yesterday rejected government’s 100% salary increase, saying they remain incapacitated, while accusing their employer of dishonesty after reportedly dodging wage talks under the National Joint Negotiating Council (NJNC).

Government representatives reportedly dodged the NJNC meetings set for Thursday last week and Monday.

In a memo addressed to Public Service Commission chairperson, Vincent Hungwe, dated March 15, Finance ministry permanent secretary, George Guvamatanga, said COVID-19 allowances had also been increased from US$200 to $250 across sectors, excluding the health sector.

“The increase in cushioning and COVID allowances from $200 to $250 across all sectors with exception to the health sector takes effect on March 1, 2023 for the security sector and April 1, 2023 for the rest of the civil service, taking into account March 2023 developments in the sector,” Guvamatanga said.

“The approved review of 100% remuneration to grow (Zimbabwe dollar) emoluments from deputy director and below for all sectors, take effect on February 1, 2023 for the security sector and April 1, 2023 for the rest of the civil service.”

Teachers have also been given an additional US$80 monthly teaching allowance.

“This is an improvement  to the school fees policy which discriminated against those teachers with no biological children, free primary school education up to a maximum of three children at government schools within the radius and introducing a government-funded funeral insurance framework,” Guvamatanga said.

Government pensioners will now receive US$100 from US$90.

“No GNU”: Chamisa

By A Correspondent- Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa has ruled out any prospects of a Government of National Unity (GNU) with Zanu-PF led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, before or after general elections expected between July and August.

Addressing his supporters at the party’s offices in Chinhoyi Monday, Chamisa urged the electorate to vote in numbers in order to ensure CCC gains total control of urban and rural councils, Parliament and Senate.

“We learnt our lesson, there won’t be any GNU before or after elections. Let us win resoundingly in local authorities where we will restore Executive Mayors, let’s have parliamentary majority in the coming elections.

“As a new political party, we performed exceptionally well in recent by-elections clinching 89 out of 132 wards which were being contested while for MPs we managed to win 19 out of 28 up for grabs. That was an indicator we can win all the way up to president,” said Chamisa.

Plumtree Residents Stung By Bees At Shopping Centre

By A Correspondent- Some Plumtree residents were stung by bees on 20 March at Dingumuzi shopping centre resulting in some sustaining serious injuries.

Authorities in the town have dismissed social media reports that someone died as the bees rampaged through the shopping centre.

A woman is admitted to Plumtree Hospital while over 15 people were treated and discharged on the same day, according to the Chronicle.

It is alleged that the swarm of bees emerged at one of the shops’ roof trusses.

Plumtree District Hospital acting medical officer Dr Joe Nganunu told the Chronicle that they treated 17 people on Monday. Nganunu added:

Of the 17, one person who is an elderly person is still admitted while the rest were treated and discharged the same day. We therefore denounce rumours circulating on social media which reports that two people stung by the bees have succumbed to injuries. It’s entirely false.

Plumtree Town Council acting secretary Mr Thembalami Nyoni said they suspect the bees were spooked and started attacking. Nyoni added:

The fire brigade team attended to the scene and doused a lady with water to clear the area and they also used smoke. The fire brigade team and rescue members from the community were also stung.

Remedies that can help alleviate the pain and swelling:

i). Remove the stinger: Use a flat object, such as a credit card, to scrape the stinger out of your skin. Do not use tweezers or pinch the stinger, as this may squeeze more venom into your skin.

ii). Wash the area: Use soap and water to clean the area around the sting.

iii). Apply ice: Applying ice to the sting can help reduce swelling and numb the area to relieve pain. Wrap the ice in a towel or cloth before applying it to your skin.

iv). Use a topical cream: Over-the-counter creams such as hydrocortisone cream, calamine lotion, or a baking soda paste can help relieve itching and swelling.

v). Take pain relievers: Over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen can help relieve pain and reduce swelling.

vi). If you experience an allergic reaction or have difficulty breathing after a bee sting, seek medical attention immediately.

Here are some ways to avoid getting stung by bees:

a). Wear light-coloured clothes.

b). Avoid using scented products.

c). Stay calm and still if a bee is near you.

d). Keep away from beehives or nests.

e). Use insect repellent if needed.

f). Cover your food and drinks when outside.

When a bee stings you, it can cause pain, swelling, and itching at the site of the sting. Some people may have an allergic reaction which can cause more serious symptoms like difficulty breathing. In rare cases, bee stings can cause systemic effects like fever or nausea.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 220 000 people die every year from bee stings, mostly due to allergic reactions.

Charumbira Struggles To Reverse Own Words Forcing Chamisa, ED Into GNU

By- President of the Zimbabwe Chief’s Council Chief Fortune Charumbira had laboured to withdraw his Sunday utterances when he said that CCC leader Nelson Chamisa and President Emmerson Mnangagwa must form a Government of National Unity (GNU).

Speaking to The Herald, Charumbira said contrary to reports on social media that he pleaded with Chamisa and Mnangagwa to consider foregoing this year’s elections in favour of a GNU, he called for unity among all Zimbabweans irrespective of political differences. He said:

Of course, it is utter rubbish that I appealed to (Mr) Chamisa to join President Mnangagwa in a GNU for whatever reason including to avoid elections due this year.

Of course, nothing can be further from the truth because the unity I was talking about was the unity of all Zimbabweans to pull and push in the same direction irrespective of political differences and who is in power.

I was not talking about the unity of political parties that they must join to form a Government, no!

It was unity to cast aside political differences and come up with a single agenda to develop Zimbabwe in peace and harmony without necessarily collapsing different political parties.

I said we must unite and contest elections in harmony and peace and this was predicated on (Mr) Chamisa who earlier on in his speech had said President Mnangagwa is his brother.

I told (Mr) Chamisa that since he openly conceded on his own during his own speech before I spoke that President Mnangagwa is his brother, why then doesn’t he visit him at State House?

Pay a courtesy call on him as the President and big brother and drink tea together to nourish harmony, peace and oneness in our country. I never talked about GNU as purported.

Charumbira was alleged to have made the “GNU” remarks at Mbetu Village in Charumbira communal lands on Sunday where he was part of the mourners at the burial of Mbuya Mafume, who is mother to Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume (CCC).

Chief Charumbira is related to the Mafumes through a family marriage.

He attended the funeral as a relative and also in his capacity as a traditional leader of the area.

Chamisa and other CCC leaders, including MPs and councillors and party members, attended the funeral.

Charumbira also rubbished claims that he was pushing for a Karanga hegemony in Zimbabwe when he said Chamisa should not challenge his “homeboy”, Mnangagwa. He said:

In the run-up to the 2018 harmonised elections, I approached (Mr) Chamisa and asked him why he was challenging his homeboy (President Mnangagwa) in an election instead of respecting him as the elder brother and let him run his race.

I was saying this as a person who is familiar with both of them by virtue of my position as chief and on Sunday again I was merely repeating the same message I first have him in 2018.

I never said we should forego this year’s elections for a GNU why would I say that when processes are already underway to hold polls as constitutionally mandated?

I was only highlighting that election outcomes should not be the basis of not working in unison to grow our country as one people with a shared past and a common future.

Marry Chiwenga SA Court Hearing Bid Flops

Marry Mubaiwa, the estranged spouse of vice president Constantino Chiwenga, may have failed in her attempt to have her claimed attempt to murder her ex-husband tried in South Africa.

It was revealed that Zimbabwean authorities had referred to Article 2 of the Sadc Protocol on Mutual Legal Assistance in order to have the case heard there.

Given that the claimed attack occurred in the neighboring country in 2019, Mubaiwa wanted her case to be heard there.

The National Prosecuting Authority, through the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs invoked the Sadc protocol to bring the matter to Zimbabwe.

After the Zimbabwean government engaged Pretoria, the South African Police Services (Saps) and the internal security intelligence arm, Hawks, they were given authority to investigate the matter in that country on behalf of Harare prosecuting authorities.

Under article 2 of the Sadc Mutual Legal Assistance, State parties provide each other with the widest possible measure of mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.

Mutual legal assistance is any assistance given by the requested State in respect of investigations, prosecutions or proceedings in criminal matters.

These include investigations, prosecutions or proceedings relating to offences concerning transnational organised crime, corruption, taxation, custom duties and foreign exchange control among others.

“Assistance shall be provided without regard to whether the conduct which is the subject of investigation, prosecution, or proceedings in the requesting State would constitute an offence under the laws of the requested State,” partly read the protocol.

“Assistance to be provided includes: locating and identifying persons, property, objects and items, serving documents, including documents seeking the attendance of persons and providing returns of such service, providing information, documents and records, providing objects and temporary transfer of exhibits, search and seizure, taking evidence or obtaining statements or both, authorising the presence of persons from the requesting State at the execution of requests.”

In the attempted murder case, it was revealed that the Saps and the Hawks recorded statements from nurses and doctors who medically examined Chiwenga when he was hospitalised in that country.

It was also revealed that the statements recorded from Chiwenga and Mubaiwa’s security team were also handed over to the South African authorities for scrutiny.

Last week, Mubaiwa was in court facing attempted murder charges.

The court also heard that Mubaiwa reportedly harassed nurses, doctors and security officials at a NetCare Hospital in South African.

The trial is continuing on April 11.

Mubaiwa is accused of attempting to kill the former head of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces when he was seriously ill at a South African hospital in 2019.

Allegations are that, from June 22 to July 8, 2019 at Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria, as well as at NetCare Hospital, Pretoria East, Mubaiwa allegedly tried to kill Chiwenga.

It is alleged that Mubaiwa refused to take her ex-husband to hospital in time for purposes of emergency medical attention.

After he was eventually admitted to hospital, Mubaiwa allegedly removed Chiwenga’s life support system.—Newsday

Gunshot At Judge

The Good Hope resident who reportedly fired a gun at his neighbor, High Court judge Justice Emiliah Muchawa, has a case to answer and must therefore present a defense,
According to Harare magistrate Mrs. Evelyn Mashavakure, ruled Harare magistrate Mrs. Evelyn Mashavakure.

At the conclusion of the State case, Mrs. Mashavakure rejected a request for discharge and decided that Nation Musekiwa needed to clarify a few points that came up after Justice Muchawa and other State witnesses testified in court. He must therefore appear in court again on Friday to provide his defense.

Through his lawyer Mr Dumisani Mthombeni, Musekiwa had argued that the State had failed to prove a prima facie case from the evidence adduced by State witnesses. A prima facie case is one that is good enough to convict unless the defence can show that it is based on incorrect facts or wrongly drawn conclusions, hence where this obtains, the defence needs to question State facts and conclusions.

He had also argued that the State had failed to prove that he intended to shoot at the judge on the day in question.

The State led by Mr Anesu Chirenje had opposed the application, saying Musekiwa’s conduct was wrong by discharging the firearm.

“The accused does not dispute the fact that his conduct was wrong but he is very apologetic and justifies his actions that he acted with the suspicion that the couple might be robbers.

“The accused person does not dispute the fact that the complainant was not aware of his intentions neither was he aware of their intentions, hence as a reasonable driver he should have just drove away.

“The accused person does not even dispute following the complainant when she had sped-off for a distance, fully knowing that his actions and conduct amounts to inducement of fear.

“The accused does not dispute that his actions would result to mental torture and mental harm,” he said.

The State had argued that Musekiwa should explain his conduct considering that he does not dispute that the drivers neither attacked him or threatened to attack him.

“They were just driving to their residence; there was no need to pursue them and discharging a pellet gun.

“The accused person both in his defence and cross examination is just apologising to the complainant and an apology is an admission of guilt and improper conduct that amounts to nuisance.

“Therefore, the court cannot acquit the accused person at this stage,” he said.

Allegations against Musekiwa are that on January 31 at around 7.15pm, Justice Muchawa and her husband, Pascal Ngwarai Machawa, were driving home along Old Mazowe Road.

When they reached Tom Farm, they saw Musekiwa driving his Honda Civic in front of them and they trailed him until turning into Goodhope Road.

It is alleged that Musekiwa went to park his car in front of Justice Machawa’s main gate prompting the couple to stop their vehicle.

Musekiwa is alleged to have fired a shot into the air so Justice Machawa and her husband, now really worried, drove to the home of another near neighbour, Justice Energy Bhanu, where there were security officers.

Constables Kambamura and Chidaushe, who were on duty, opened the gate after hearing the hoot at the gate.

The couple narrated what had transpired to the police officers who went to the scene where they recovered a 9mm blank cartridge.

On the following day, Musekiwa went to Harare Central Police Station where he told the police that he was the one who had fired the shot on the previous night.

Investigations led to the recovery of a pellet gun that was taken to CID Ballistics for forensic examination. -state media

Kombi Ploughs Into Strollers

A pedestrian was killed and two others injured after they were hit by a speeding kombi along High Glen Road in western Harare last Friday morning and police are now hunting down the driver who failed to stop and is still at large.

The incident occurred at Pamasimbi in Glen Norah C at around 5am and the kombi driver did not stop.

The deceased pedestrian was a 56-year-old man while the injured were a 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations were still in progress.

“An unknown motorist who was driving a commuter omnibus, registration number and make unknown, hit three pedestrians, a 49-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man.

“The motorist did not stop after the accident. The victims were taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital, where one of the victims, a 56-year-old male adult, was pronounced dead on admission.

The other two victims sustained minor injuries and were treated and discharged. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” he said. -state media

Problems Loom As Government Plans To Ban Pirate Taxis

The proliferation of pirate taxis plying local routes and the country’s highways has become a major cause for concern amid disorderly conduct and general disregard for road regulations.

Illegal transporters continue to cause havoc in the transport sector where they are exposing commuters to various forms of abuse.

The chaos is visible at most drop-off and pick-up points where trucks and pirate taxis battle for passengers with very little or no attention to the safety of commuters.

This news crew witnessed an accident involving a private taxi, whose driver fled the scene.

A commuter told the ZBC News, “I just saw that vehicle coming from the wrong lane before he hit me. I asked him what was going on and he told me that he just lost control, however, he fled the scene and all the passengers disembarked.”

Commuters who spoke to ZBC News raised safety concerns associated with boarding pirate taxis, amid increasing cases of robbery and abuse.

“We are being robbed after boarding private vehicles. They pose to be good people but we end up getting robbed,” a commuter said.

“It is so painful that you get robbed by people to whom you would have paid your money. What we think is that those found on the wrong side should be given a tough sentence so that others won’t do that again,” another said.

Last week on Thursday, a woman, Milca Tondori of Hopley, Harare who was travelling with her husband Rodrick Kembo jumped out of a moving pirate taxi after being attacked by three suspected robbers.

Pirate taxi drivers have also become targets.

A driver said, “We are not safe. Last month I was robbed after I was hired by a certain man who was together with someone whom he claimed to be his wife. They hired me to Southlea Park and when we reached a certain place the man purported to relieve himself. That is when I was tied up by a rope and robbed of all my cash.”

Another said, “We don’t know how we should be assisted; we are being robbed. At times, we get hired by very old women, but when you reach the destination, you are blocked by another vehicle.”

The Second Republic has however made significant strides in revamping the mass public transport sector and invoked Statutory Instrument 138 to allow duty-free imports of buses by private players.- ZBC News

Mucherahowa Speaks On DeMbare Anti-Juju Gimmick

Legendary former Dynamos captain Memory Mucherahowa has heavily criticized the Harare giants’ team manager Richard Chihoro for his ‘anti-juju ritual’ against Premiership returnees Hwange at Babourfields Stadium on Saturday.

During half time, Chihoro performed an alleged anti-juju ritual by sprinkling some unknown substance at the Mpilo End goalpost to ‘unlock the nets’, after DeMbare had failed to break the deadlock in the first half, despite creating a lot of chances.

A towel belonging to Hwange goalkeeper Nedrick Madeya, which he kept behind his goal and believed to have contained black magic, was later grabed by a DeMbare fan who skipped the stadium parameter fence and burnt to ashes.- Soccer24 News

Mnangagwa Flying 150 Green Bombers To London

By Business Reporter | As ZANU PF President Emmerson Mnangagwa prepares to fly to London for the King Charles’s coronation, on 1 May. Zimbabwe is sending with him 150 untrained civilian bouncers to restrain protesters against him.

The government is currently engaged in mass printing of diplomatic passports for the bouncers, source say are untrained security personnel in the category of the so called green bombers, a state youth militia.

Some of the so called bodyguards will be demonstrating in support of Mnangagwa, while others will be thwarting anti-Mnangagwa demos, cabinet sources told ZimEye.

Current fears are that Mnangagwa will be confronted by angry mobs the type that stopped him from drinking beer with his supporters when he was last in the UK, at the COP26 Clomate Change Conference in 2021.

The diplomatic passports will help protect the bouncers from British prosecution should they commit crimes such as violence against protesters.

Due to the high number of civilians to be used for security purposes, the development will see hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money being abused, as expenses will be blown for not only the bouncers, but numerous hangers ons, who include children of government officials.

The frightening extent of the deployment of bouncers in a foreign country, seen by ZimEye, highlights the horror of what the Zimbabwean government will do back at home.

Can Zimbabwe afford the expenditure?

The Ministry Of Foreign Affiars was still to comment at the time of writing.

Mucherahowa Slams DeMbare’s Anti-Juju Gimmick

A Must Read: First Aid Tips For Miners

  2. Move them onto their side and tilt their head back. Putting them in this position with their head back helps keep their airway open. It ensures their tongue falls forward and blood and vomit drain out. It is sometimes called the “recovery position”.
  3. Call for help or an ambulance as soon as possible.

Major Setback For Doves Owner In Croco Motors Ownership Wrangle

HARARE – The Constitutional Court Monday struck off the roll, an application by businessman Farai Matsika who was appealing a Supreme Court ruling as the legal battle for control of Croco Motors rages on.

Last year, the Supreme Court declined his appeal against a ruling of the same court for lack of jurisdiction.

The Doves and Faramatsi owner is fighting for control of Croco Holdings with his cousin Moses Chingwena.

On Monday, the Constitutional Court struck off his application, ruling that it was legally defective to hear his matter when the full Supreme Court ruling is not yet available.

The matter was struck off the roll with consent from both partners.

Matsika has been tussling Chingwena for years over company ownership claiming he spent over two decades building the empire.
Last year, Supreme Court judges, Elizabeth Gwaunza, Joseph Musakwa and Hlekani Mwayera declined jurisdiction prompting Matsika to file a ConCourt appeal.

In the previous Supreme Court hearing, court ruled that Matsika tried to illegally grab ownership of Croco Holdings from the company’s rightful owner, Chingwena.

Another judge, Justice Chinembiri Bhunu, in his judgment said High Court judge, Owen Tagu could not be faulted for coming up with that ruling since Matsika had put nothing before the courts to support his ownership claims.

Justice Bhunu ruled it was Matsika’s obligation to convince the court, but it was clear he submitted doctored documents which made it difficult for both courts to believe him.
At the High Court, Justice Owen Tagu had accused him of trying to grab the company through the back door.

Justice Bhunu also blasted Matsika and his lawyers for incompetence.

“In the final analysis, no-fault or misdirection can be laid at the learned judge a quo’s door in his treatment of the substantive issues and verdict,” Justice Bhunu said.

In his Supreme Court appeal, Matsika complained that Tagu had made some errors in concluding he had sought to grab the company through the back door.

Matsika sought the setting aside of the High Court ruling and demanded a forensic audit and valuation of Croco Holdings and 39 other entities.

Matsika claimed he had built the Croco business empire for 26 years while his cousin Chingwena was working at LCZ, Century Bank, and Discount House, which he added are failed companies.
Chingwena argued that Matsika failed to place before the court evidence showing how he secured the 30% stake in the vehicle sale company.

While Matsika had claimed that Phibeon Gwatidzo of Baker Tilly Gwatidzo Chartered Accountants was the shares transferring secretary in 2006, it emerged through Gwatidzo’s secretary that the accounting firm was not yet in existence at the time.

Practical Lessons In Mining

Charumbira Labours To Withdraw Chamisa, Mnangagwa GNU Statement

President Chamisa Rules Out GNU

Tinashe Sambiri|CCC leader President Nelson Chamisa has ruled out the consummation of another GNU following the 2009 catastrophe.

President Chamisa made the remarks during an interface meeting in Chinhoyi on Monday.

Speaking to thousands of Change Champions at the party offices in the same town, President Chamisa said:

“We have learnt our lessons, there won’t be any GNU before or after elections.

Let us win resoundingly in local authorities where we will restore Executive Mayors, let’s have parliamentary majority in the coming elections.

As a new formation, we performed exceptionally well in recent by-elections clinching 89 out of 132 wards which were being contested while for MPs we managed to win 19 out of 28 up for grabs. That was an indicator we can win all the way up to president.”

Hopley Woman Jumps Off Moving Vehicle

By A Correspondent- A Hopley woman threw herself out of a moving mushikashika vehicle leaving her husband being attacked by three armed robbers on Thursday.

Milca Tondori managed to open the door and escaped unhurt when her husband, Rodrick Kembo, was being robbed at knifepoint.

Rodrick was assaulted and dumped at Stracken Cemetery in Mbare National.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case and urged people to avoid boarding private vehicles.

“Police are investigating a case involving a couple which were attacked by three armed robbers near Rothmans,” said Insp Chakanza.

“On March 16 at around 11pm, the complainant and his wife boarded a Toyota Spacio at Simon Mazorodze Total Service Station intending to go to Hopley Farm where they reside.

“While inside the vehicle, two other men also boarded the vehicle posing as passengers. One was seated in the front seat and the other occupied the rear seat.

They drove along Simon Mazorodze Road and when approaching the Rothmans traffic lights, the driver turned left towards Trade Centre Ardbennie. “One of the accused in the front seat produced a knife and the second accused instructed the complainant to surrender all his belongings.

During the time of the scuffle the complainant’s wife managed to open the door and threw herself out of the moving vehicle.

“The complainant was stabbed on both hands and sustained minor injuries. The accused forcibly took an H-mobile cellphone and US$20 from the complainant and dumped him at Stracken Cemetery.”

Chamisa Blasts Mwonzora

By- The opposition CCC President and Change Champion in Chief Nelson Chamisa has mocked MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora for challenging the delimitation report in court, saying his erstwhile colleague has “no supporters”.
The MDC-T has failed to win a single parliamentary or council seat in elections that were held after Mwonzora became the party’s president.
On 14 March 2023, Mwonzora filed an urgent chamber application at the High Court seeking the nullification of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) delimitation report.
He argued that the delimitation report does not meet the requirements of section 161 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
But addressing a campaign rally in Gutu, Masvingo on Saturday, 19 March, Chamisa said CCC will win in the upcoming general elections in spite of the “flawed” delimitation report. He said:
This is the year for citizens’ victory for change. I heard some people with no supporters have challenged the delimitation report in the courts, but we are not worried about the boundaries created.
Our party is everywhere, even if they move people, the people will vote in those new areas. We are ready to win, this time I will score without looking at the goal.
Witwatersrand University-based political analyst Romeo Chasara warned opposition parties against allowing ZEC to use the “discredited” voters’ roll in the upcoming elections. Said Chasara:
The Constitution is supreme and sacred. In this case, I think Mwonzora is right to test the legality of the whole delimitation exercise.
Opposition parties cannot cherry-pick battles to fight when the Constitution is under attack.
It is wrong if the CCC is not challenging the delimitation report because they think it does not affect their prospects of winning elections when there are reasonable grounds that the process is flawed and the Constitution has been violated.

Security Guard Shoots Self Over Cheating Wife

By A Correspondent- A 56 year old security guard allegedly shot himself with his service rifle in Checheche after discovering that his wife was having extra-marital affairs.

Johane Chiweshe from Dambamuromo Village in Chipinge South committed suicide recently after making several suicide attempts before.

ZRP spokesperson in Manicaland Province, Inspector Nobert Muzondo, confirmed the incident which happened in Checheche on 07 March 2023. He said:

The now-late Johane Chiweshe who was employed as a security guard was on duty when the incident happened. He was armed with a 303 riffle.

His workmate, Munyaradzi Gorivoto heard a gunshot around midnight and called out Chiweshe who did not respond. He alerted their superior, Enock Musasike, and he rushed to the scene.

The two searched around the company premises and discovered that Chiweshe was already dead. His body was found lying facing upwards with blood oozing from his head.

A report was made to the police who attended the scene and observed a gunshot wound on Chiweshe’s head.

The 303 riffle was also discovered near Chiweshe’s hand with a magazine containing seven rounds.

An empty cartridge was also discovered at the scene and the body was conveyed to St Peter’s Mission Hospital mortuary.

Inquiries done indicate that Chiweshe had attempted suicide many times before.

Chiweshe’s neighbour who spoke to The Manica Post claimed that the now-deceased had accused his wife of infidelity several times. Said the neighbour:

Chiweshe accused his wife of infidelity several times. Their relationship was an on-and-off affair. His church members would intervene whenever the couple had a misunderstanding and they would reconcile.

However, Chiweshe always told church members that his wife had not reformed from her old habits and because of this, he would end his life. He made several suicide attempts before.

We don’t know why his employers gave him a gun at work as he had suicidal tendencies.

Chiweshe was buried in Dambamuromo Village on 11 March.

Guard Alert Owner in Racism Storm… Beats Up And Calls Employee Baboon

By A Correspondent| In a development akin to the colonial era, a security guard from Guard Alert company was allegedly racially abused by tho owner of the reputable security firm.

Narrating his ordeal, the 47 year old Trymore Mutauto said what seemed to be a normal routine turned out to be a nightmare for him early this year.

“So I was manning the gate at the company’s headquarters when my boss Robert Richardson turned up for work and as usual I saluted him as required of my duties.

” However, I was taken aback when he started insulting me that I had not properly saluted him. What really angered me is that he called me a baboon, a racial term associated with the colonial era,” narrated a distressed Mutauto.

The Guard Alert owner went on to  hard-slap the hapless Mutauto who now has a hearing impairment after the beating.

” I was slapped menacingly such that since the day, one of my ear no longer hears properly and has pus, “he added.

He lodged his complaint to one Ngwerume, who is one of the directors at the security firm who dissuaded him to report the case to police but seek recourse with the owner.

” I approached Mr Ngwerume and told him of the incident. He advised me not to report the matter to the police but I told him for me to access medical services I needed a police report.

” It was after I had gone to Matapi Police Station that he offered me US$10 for medical treatment,” revealed Mutauto.

The security guard said what now irks him is that the Guard Alert owner and the management are not remorseful over what transpired.

“From all what happened to me I thought the boss and the management should have respected me. The money I received from them is hardly adequate to pay for the medical bills I have accrued following the incident.

” Right now I need to go for reviews but they are not ready to hear my plight. I approached the Zimbabwe Security Guards Union who instructed me to sue for compensation but for the legal recourse to ensue, there are forms which the management is supposed to sign but it has been evasive, “said a tearful Mutauto.

The Zimbabwe Security Guards Union(Zisegu) confirmed that Mutauto engaged them.

” I can confirm that Trymore Mutauto engaged over the assault case but we advised him that it was purely a civil and criminal matter not a labour dispute.

” We however assisted him in writing a letter of demand seeking compensation for medical bills incurred and contumelia on the 14th of February. What he should is to serve the employer with summons to institute legal proceedings and the last time we heard from him, he had no money, “confirmed Zisegu legal officer, Ruth Gandidze.

However, contacted for comment, the Guard Alert owner scoffed at the allegations and accused Mutauto of wanting to extort him money by creating fictitious allegations.

” There was no assault of any kind, I admit I raised my voice to him because of his scruffy turnout at the HQ gate but there certainly was never any racial connotation.

” I am an old man of 67 and employ over 5000 employees so would a) not be able to to assault a young man and b) would never do anything to jeopardise the well being of our workforce.

” This man is on a mission to get cash which is evidenced by his claim for thousands of dollars.
There is absolutely nothing to back his story and hence why the matter has not gone further.
If I or my company is besmerched or defamed in any way there will be legal action to rectify and seek damages(sic), “responded the owner.

Tenant Kills Landlord For Evicting Him

By A Correspondent- A Bulawayo man (34) allegedly killed his landlord for evicting him from his house.

Admire Mnkandla went on the run after his landlord, Mgcini Sibanda (44), was found dead on a toilet seat.

On 18 March, Sibanda had allegedly asked Mnkandla why he was still at his house in Nkulumane when he had evicted him in January 2023 and Sibanda beat him up.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube said police are hunting Mnkandla.

“On 18 march 2023 at around 11 PM, the now deceased Mgcini Sibanda a male adult aged 44 years had a misunderstanding with the accused person over an issue why he was still staying in his house while he had given him notice in January 2023.

“The accused person assaulted Mgcini Sibanda with an unknown object and he sustained injuries but did not report the matter to the police neither did he seek medical help. The accused person ran away soon after committing the offence.

The deceased was found the following day by a neighbour dead whilst sitting on the toilet seat. A police report was then made.

He had two cuts on the forehead consistent to have been caused by a sharp object, bruises on both knees and blood stains on the left arm,” said Insp Ncube.

He warned members of the public are warned against violence.

“At least choose better ways of resolving disputes and not take the law into your own hands. It may start as a mere assault which then turns into murder,” said the police spokesperson.

Taxi Driver Attacked By Gun Wielding Robbers

By A Correspondent- A Rusape taxi driver is lucky to be alive after he was robbed, stripped naked, and dumped by gun-wielding robbers recently.

The taxi driver, Julius Jusa and his friend, Rasheed Chikwenya, were robbed of two cellphones, US$150 and the vehicle.

The duo was dumped in the bush at around midnight and had to seek help while naked.

ZRP spokesperson in Manicaland Province Inspector Norbert Muzondo confirmed the incident to The Manica Post but he did not reveal when the robbery occurred. Said Insp Muzondo:

The incident happened near St Joseph’s Primary School Turn-off, along the Rusape-Hwedza Road.

On the day in question, Mr Jusa, who was at OK Parking Area in Rusape, was approached by the three accused persons who asked him to transport them to St Joseph’s Primary School Turn-off.

Mr Jusa asked Mr Chikwenya to accompany him. One of the suspects sat at the passenger’s seat, while the two and Mr Chikwenya sat at the back.

One of the suspects told the driver to turn left towards St Joseph’s High School, but he refused.

Sensing danger, the driver refused to stop the vehicle. The suspect who was on the passenger’s seat produced a pistol and fired a warning shot.

He threatened to shoot Mr Jusa if he failed to comply with their orders.

He ordered Mr Jusa, who was now in panic mode, to sit at the back while he took over the driving. He drove towards Hwedza Road.

He ordered the two complainants to surrender their cellphones and threw the SIM cards outside.

They reached Zindoga Turn-off and turned right. They drove for over two kilometres on a dirty road.

The accused then stripped the complainants naked and took away their wallets with a combined US$158.

They threw the clothes away and dumped the two in a bush. The duo later walked naked before they met a Good Samaritan who reported the matter to the police.

Water Crisis Haunts Byo

By A Correspondent- Residents in Bulawayo have been hit by a serious water crisis with most suburbs going for weeks without running water amid fears of a disease outbreak.

The city is enduring a prolonged water-shedding exercise as the Bulawayo City council (BCC) struggles to pump water due to alleged power outages.

In a statement, the local authority said due to the power outages at Ncema and Fernhill pump stations, the city is only receiving eight to ten hours of pumping water per day instead of the normal 24 hours of pumping.

This has resulted in minimal volumes of water being pumped, which is not enough to meet the water demand.

Residents said the failure of the local authority to supply water has forced them to get it from unsafe sources.

A Chronicle crew on 19 March visited selected suburbs in the western areas and observed people who were getting water from unclean sources.

In Pelandaba West some women were fetching water from swampy areas which they said will be used for washing, cleaning, and other household chores as the cleaner water is kept for drinking and cooking.

An elderly woman who only identified herself as Mamoyo said she had no option other than to get the water from the swampy areas as the water woes were getting worser as days went by.

“It has been three weeks now without water from my taps. Others say it came last week for a few hours but because l was at work l did not get a chance to refill my buckets which is why l am here today. The clean water that l have at home l have to keep it for drinking and cooking because should l waste it on washing l shall end up stranded,” she said.

The news crew observed a group of children who were squatting at a nearby bush relieving themselves since there is no water, oblivious to the fact that they are breeding diseases as the waste will attract flies.

Mr Mike Maphosa from Iminyela suburb said he gets water from White City stadium as there is a tap open for residents there.

Mr Maphosa said the ongoing water shedding programme was breeding diseases, especially for residents at Iminyela who share toilets.

“To make matters worse the water bills that come every month are very high, especially when one thinks of how there is always no water from our taps. That is why some people are not paying bills because they are tired of paying bills for no solid reason,” said Mr Maphosa.

In Mpopoma Ms Gugulethu Gundu said she is now used to not having water and becomes worried when her children tell her there is running water.

She said because the water is always not there l have advised my children to not drink it because water pipes that are always dry have deadly water so l now buy water from the city centre.

“It’s like l am now paying double water bills because l need to buy drinking water and still pay my water bills which always come with terrifying bills,” said Ms Gundu.

Some business people are however rejoicing as business is booming for them since people are now resorting to buying water buckets and distilled water.

In Thorngrove suburb the crew met Mr Isheanopa Sithole who was selling water containers and he told the crew ever since water woes started business has been good because people have no choice but to buy the buckets.

He said he had to increase the price of a bucket recently due to high demand.

Bulawayo City Council’s corporate communications manager, Mrs Nesisa Mpofu told our Sister paper the Sunday News last week that: “It’s still too early to say if shedding is going to be implemented up until the end of the year as the rainy season hasn’t lapsed.

“The city is officially on the 72-hour shedding period. However, it is overridden by daily restoration strategies due to load shedding at our plants at Umzingwane, Inyankuni, Ncema and Fernhill that affects our Reservoir levels resulting in reduced storage volumes.

However, the city is banking on an unlikely heavy downpour to avert disaster.

Susan Mutami 2 Pregnancies To 2 Different Men In Under 1yr, And Twins That Never Existed

..

Susan Mutami – file

.

By A Correspondent | Mystery surrounds the whereabouts of the controversial self styled whistle-blower, Susan Mutami following an eletric period of exposing ZANU PF President Emmerson Mnangagwa and rallying the public around that cause, between June and August 2022. Mutami is now nowhere to be seen. Since the period of the United Nations she went off social media and off friends.

So what really happened to the whistleblower who could have easily helped to lift the plight of abused minors? ZimEye searches around all over Brisbane, among friends, family, and even on the Twitter website that became her attack base against people like Marry Mubaiwa who ended up being amputated following Mutami’s false allegations, Susan still cannot be found.

ZimEye checks with Susan’s mother, Rebecca Mutami, whose phone is switched off soon after picking up the journalist’s voice. Soon after that call, the mum’s Facebook posting stops completely for months running into December, not a single dot can be seen.

ZimEye turns to Susan’s young sister, the 20 year old Kundai, whose phone is swiftly switched off soon after the ZimEye journalist has introduced himself.

“How are you Kundai? I am looking for Susan,” our reporter asks, to which she replies by demanding to know,

“Who is calling?”

The call is terminated upon announcement of ZimEye.

Afterwards, another local Australian Correspondent tasked by ZimEye tries her luck, only to report back saying that the phones are ringing but none of the two, (mother and young sister) are picking up.

So was Susan Mutami killed? If anything happened to her at least her brother, still to be contacted, would have notified the world, a source tells ZimEye.

To somewhat confirm this, an intelligence agent provides possibly the clearest detail on Susan Mutami’s whereabouts. “The last time I spoke with her she told me that she is now changing her number because she has to avoid people,” they tell ZimEye. ZimEye was still to be given Susan’s “new phone numbers,” at the time of writing as promised.

So what really happened to this whistleblower who also says she is an anti terorism expert and who was going to make announcements at the UN General Assembly in September exposing her former boss and one time “boyfriend”?

Something happened to her which is more than money, a state agent tells ZimEye. The whole sequel begins in 2020, when Mutami got pregnant twice in a year to 2 different men, amid a long string of others in the same 12 month period.

She would also in the same year threaten to ‘rape’ Simba Chikanza’s own father (94) during interviews.

The below is a trail of event twists that involved high profile ministers caught between two scandals, one on the sale of stands, and one of trappings using Susan who was self proclaiming to be an anti-terrorism expert.

It was all triggered when earlier in the year, the Special Anti Corruption Unit head, Thabani Mpofu was close to arresting Local Govt Minister, July Moyo over the alleged sale of stands in Harare, Kwekwe and Gweru for his own benefit.

There were several beneficiaries listed on this reported scandal who are in the ministry of Justice; so to hide this, a quick plan was hatched to get Mpofu fired.

Owen Ncube

Mpofu, who leads the controversial taskforce, was swiftly accused of authoring letters for MDC Alliance Vice President Tendai Biti advising the opposition icon on ways of navigating through the justice system.

Close sources allege that, when this was about to happen, the Norton MP Temba Mliswa went over to president, Emmerson Mnangagwa to advise him to ignore the calls to fire Mpofu; doing this in order to settle scores with the enemy of an enemy (Mliswa had heard that Thabani Mpofu had been set up by July Moyo, Owen Ncube, and Virginia Mabhiza). Mliswa has had several bones to chew with Thabani Mpofu. Mliswa reasoned with Mnangagwa saying: how could Thabani Mpofu author letters for MDC Deputy President Tendai Biti in this age and time when he could simply pick a phone call.

Parallel to all this, Temba Mliswa was the subject of an ongoing probe in which he was entangled with ex girlfriend, Susan.

Facts became clear mid February that, Susan Mutami, the centre of the axis, was used to incriminate Mliswa.

Mutami is an enigma. She claims she bedded the late SB Moyo, Killer Zivhu, Temba Mliswa. She even openly  announces saying she has bedded Emmerson Mnangagwa.

She says she has Mliswa’s twins, while at the same time naming her son after his arch enemy, Owen Ncube.

5 LOVERS, 2 PREGNANCIES TO 2 DIFFERENT MEN, ALL IN ONE YEAR

In 2020 alone, she dated at least four High profile men who include the Foreign Affairs Minister SB Moyo, one after the other:

Susan Mutami’s 2021 June profile picture – source: Susan Mutami, Twitter.com

Polite Kambamura, the Mining Deputy Minister (they were engaged). Walter Chikwana, Secretary for the Judicial Commission (they had a civil partnership in 2020), and ZANU PF MP, Hon Kenneth Musanhi (see pictures).

Furthermore, an affidavit seen by ZimEye states in addition that she was already pregnant way before bedding Mliswa in 2020

The affidavit, certified by the Judicial Services Commission (JSC), shows that as at around March 2020, she was still engaged to another man, who works inside the JSC, Mr Walter Chikwana.

The man was reached for a comment but wouldn’t speak or respond to questions.

The affidavit states that Mutami was carrying a pregnancy to another man at the end of March 2020. In the affidavit, her boyfriend, Mr Chikwana says:

+

‘ I am Susan Vivian Mutami’s partner and in case of emergency I can be contacted on the above mentioned address or on my mobile number, +263772***********”

He then goes on to say he is the legal guardian of SB Moyo’s Child (full name redacted-in accordance with the Children’s Act on the paper).

” I am also the legal guardian of (name withheld), and our unborn child as of date. Attached hereto is a copy of my identification.”

The affidavit was signed on the 24th March 2020.

Affidavit

The development puts burden on Mutami to explain the timing drama surrounding her two pregnancies (to different men) which are within months of each other.

She also says that she is the holder of two Australian degrees of which she has none, and also makes false claims that she is the winner of Australia’s CEO awards. During interviews with Mutami, ZimEye reveals how that her claims to university courses are baseless.

She is also put to task on her CEO Awards claim, and it is revealed that she was only a passerby at the function who posed in front of a camera holding someone else’s award. (SEE RGM INTERVIEW BELOW)

Her ex lover, Mliswa has maintained his allegations that he was set up by the Central Intelligence Organisation in order to incriminate him using Susan Mutami.

By this time, he has been arrested and charged for violating COVID regulations while holding a press conference to address her allegations against him.

After all this, she is stopped while trying to leave the country, and then she is put under the custody of the Central Intelligence Organisation.
Mutami is held for possessing details on the attempted assassination of the president and killing of three aides at the White City Stadium, then she is whisked out by two powerful ministers who have close links to the president, July Moyo (local governments), Owen Mudha Ncube, minister of state security. After being whisked out without knowledge of the mother body of the CIO, she then starts to attack to the Director General of the CIO, who she claims she once dated, then threatening to release secret information on the cabinet, Politburo and a number of other official secrets, while on the same tweet, absolving the two ministers, July Moyo and Owen Mudha Ncube.

At this time, July Moyo is under investigations for parceling out land, a case being probed by Thabani Mpofu’s SACU organisation.

July Moyo is very close to permanent Secretary Mrs Virginia Mabhiza and Kumbirai Hodzi, the prosecutor General. At the same time, Thabani Mpofu’s SACU is having clashes with the Prosecutor General. There was a collusion between the Prosecutor Gen and July Moyo to get Thabani Mpofu fired. The PG and July Moyo then approached the president Emmerson Mnangagwa to pass allegations that Thabani Mpofu has advised Biti.

The event trail is as follows:

Thabani Mpofu is accused of writing WhatsApp letters to MDC Alliance MP Tendai Biti giving him advice on how to return to parliament, and this makes the president very angry. At this time, Mnangagwa has also been told by Perm Sec Virginia Mabhiza, and Prosecutor Gen Kumbirai Hodzi, to ignore the request to arrest Minister July Moyo on land fraud.

Mnangagwa then summons Thabani Mpofu to State House where he is dressed down. It is reported that Mpofu has been fired. ZimEye contacts Mpofu who tells this news network, it’s not true at all. Are you my employer?, Mpofu fires a question while answering to the report.

Soon afterwards, Temba Mliswa who is naturally against Mpofu, comes to the rescue of Mpofu to tell the President that Mpofu has been set up. Thabani Mpofu also gets support of the CIO DG Isaac Moyo. This angers July Moyo who together with Owen Ncube sponsor Susan Mutami to tweet ‘some dirt’ on Isaac Moyo while absolving July Moyo and Owen Ncube publicly, on the Twitter website.

State security sources report saying Mutami was whisked out of Zimbabwe through the Beitbridge Border post. ZimEye requests paperwork to confirm that the escape was truly through that border post. No date is provided, but by end of April 2021, she is now safely in Australia.

Both Owen Ncube and July Moyo are contacted for a comment, and their phones are put down soon after hearing the interview questions.

Responding to the state security reports, Mliswa denies ever approaching Mnangagwa to assist Mpofu. He tells ZimEye: “Mpofu, Matanga, Mudha, July Moto, and Ziyambi Ziyambi are all one and the same, working hand-in-hand.”

It surfaces that Mutami is an agent of July Moyo and his team to settle their matters with Director General, Isaac Moyo. Thabani Mpofu then suddenly comes out the victim of the two warning camps.

By this time, the development has raised questions on how safe Zimbabweans are when ministers and two officials are using a woman to settle their personal scores. Is Zimbabwe is being run by people controlled by bottom power, or is it that Susan Mutami has some ability to capture all these people, or she is so dazzling to control the nation’s top government officials?

The following year 2022, at a time when there are many questions still to be answered by Susan such as: where is the proof of your degrees in counter terrorism? Where are Mliswa twins you said you gave birth?, Why do you seem skipping from one high profile man to the other?, where is the proof of your nursing degree? Why on earth did you threaten to rape Simba Chikanza’s father?, Where is the proof that you are a famous person who won the Australian CEO awards?, Susan Mutami bounces out to announce that she was raped by Emmerson Mnangagwa.

During her tweets, she also accuses the mother of 5, Marry Chiwenga, saying she (contrary to clear video evidence) attempted to kill her husband the Vice President, allegations that would get Marry amputated after being denied her passport for a medical travels.

She also accuses her former lover, Mliswa of raping a minor who eventually died from an abortion.

On her widely attended Twitter space, Susan Mutami accuses journalists who have asked her these pertinent questions of being state agents, going to the point of claiming Simba Chikanza whose father she threatened to assault,
was paid by the military intelligence.

She then promises to fly to the UN General Assembly to expose Mnangagwa and connect with the masses over her allegations.

The whole nation starts to expect her to dress down the 80 year old ZANU PF leader in front of the world. ZimEye maintains its caution stating that Mutami cannot be genuine, and the Queensland Police where she claimed she has registered a police case have announced that the number she publicised is not even a police case reference.

Her Twitter account stops posting by the end of August 2022 and in the whole of September, there is not a mention of Mutami at the UN General Assembly.

By Dec 2022, Susan Mutami has gotten Marry Chiwenga amputated and on another hand, dashed the hopes of millions of abused children whose rape cases are likely to be doubted now when they make reports.

Between being silenced and just going silent on her own, what has happened to Susan Mutami?

Missing MP Fails To Fulfil 10 Cabbages Pledge At Funeral

By A Correspondent- Mazowe North Member of Parliament Campion “Missing MP” Mugweni has come under fire from Mvurwi residents and vendors who accuse him of giving fake promises after he promised to deliver cabbages at a funeral but failed to meet his promise.

Mugweni was humiliated by vendors last week after he promised them loans which they never got.

The residents told Mugweni during a meeting that last year he duped mourners by promising to donate 10 cabbages which he never brought.

“We no longer trust you MP, last year promised mourners 10 cabbages at a funeral in Rusunguko and people clapped hands, but you never brought your pledge. So, how can we trust you again with our votes,” fumed one resident.

In his response, Mugweni said the cabbages took a long time to come and when they finally arrived, people were already eating.

“Forgive me, l was overwhelmed but l remembers when those cabbages came people were already eating,” he said.

Vendors who spoke to this publication said Mugweni promised them loans which he said would be available by Thursday but to date no one received anything.

“Mugweni cannot be trusted, last week he promised to give us loans, he was hoping that primary elections will be held last Saturday but to date, we got nothing,” lamented the vendors.

Mugweni went missing from the constituency soon after winning the 2018 general elections, only to resurface now seeking re-election. Due to his unavailability in his constituency, people from his constituency nicknamed him “The Missing MP.”

Zanu PF Boss Bash ZEC Officers, Barred From Primaries

By-Zanu PF has barred its Harare Provincial Commissar Kudakwashe Damson from participating in the upcoming primary elections for assaulting Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) officials.

Damson attacked the ZEC officials on duty conducting voter education in Epworth, accusing them of wearing yellow T-shirts.

Damson is facing charges of contravening the Electoral Act by obstructing ZEC proceedings. He was remanded to 5 April on a $50 000 bail.
This was said by ZANU PF Secretary for Information and Publicity Christopher Mutsvangwa while addressing the media at a post-extraordinary Politburo session in Harare on Monday, 20 March. Said Mutsvangwa:
We await the justice system to guide us in decision-making. Cde Damson, the PC for Harare province was disqualified.
We hope he will accept the decision. He still has a future in the party and is a hard worker.
The President stresses that the party is bigger than individuals.
This also goes to show that there is zero tolerance for violence There is zero tolerance against corruption and violence.
He also said the Politburo approved at least 99.9 percent of CVs of aspiring primary elections candidates.
Mutsvangwa said President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is the ZANU PF First Secretary, will soon announce the dates of the primaries.

Award Winning Zim Actor Shaun Mundawarara Joins The Cast Of Disney’s The Lion King UK & Ireland Tour.

Zimbabwean actor Shaun Mundawarara has been cast in the award-winning stage musical “The Lion King.”

Mundawarara will join the UK and Ireland Tour as a member of the ensemble as well as understudying the lead role of Simba. The multi-talented actor attended an open casting call held last year in Cape Town, South Africa and was then called back for a 2nd round of auditions in February 2023 where he subsequently was signed on as a cast member for the tour.

“Growing up, The Lion King was my favourite movie. It is the first script I ever knew off by heart. The stage show in London which I was lucky enough to go and see, was the first major theatre production I ever watched. It was then I decided that my goal was to be a part of this amazing show. Getting this role is a full circle moment for me as now I get to live out one of my dreams” stated Mundawarara

When asked what message he had for other young aspiring actors in Zimbabwe, Mundawarara stated “If you are willing to put in the work, anything is possible. Landing this role has been a culmination of years of working on my craft from local theatre productions, taking vocal coaching & even taking ballet classes! I knew that this type of role required a multi-talented performer & over the years I was very intentional in making sure I developed my skills to be ready for this type of opportunity”

Shaun Mundawarara is an actor for TV, Film and Theatre. He was the first Zimbabwean to win a Kenya Theatre award in the category of Best Performance By A Male Actor In A Lead Role (Musical) in 2022. In the same year he scooped up two REPS AFDIS Awards including “Best musical performance” and “Best Supporting Actor” for roles in “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Macbeth”. Most recently he became only the 2nd person to be nominated for Outstanding Actor at the NAMA awards in both the film and theatre categories for the same year, walking away with the NAMA for Outstanding theatre actor at the 21st NAMA ceremony held in Harare on the 25th of February 2023.

The Lion King is a stage musical with music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and a book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, with additional music and lyrics by Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Julie Taymor, and Hans Zimmer. It is based on the 1994 Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film of the same name.

No GNU Before Or After Elections, Says Chamisa

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa has ruled out any prospects of a Government of National Unity (GNU) with Zanu PF led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, before or after general elections expected between July and August.

Addressing hundreds of ‘Change Champions’ from across Mashonaland West gathered at the party’s offices in Chinhoyi Monday, Chamisa urged the electorate to vote in numbers in order to ensure CCC gains total control of urban and rural councils, Parliament and Senate.

The CCC presidential candidate said his party does not wish to enter into a GNU with Mnangagwa’s Zanu PF as did predecessors late former president Robert Mugabe and late opposition stalwart, Morgan Tsvangirai.

Responding to journalists who quizzed him on how he took utterances by President of the Chiefs Council, Senator Chief Fortune Charumbira calling on him and Mnangagwa to dialogue, Chamisa said he was open to talks with his erstwhile nemesis.

“I always talk about it, that this country belongs to the people of Zimbabwe, we are one people.

“Negotiating is good, there is nothing wrong. No one can go it alone, it’s not Zanu PF alone or CCC alone, unity builds a country,” said Chamisa, who in 2018 controversially lost presidential polls.

“The message of building and uplifting each other is positive and important. Let’s dialogue, but engaging in dialogue doesn’t mean you agree, even if you don’t agree you will get to a point where you say yes we haven’t reached consensus but we have one vision.”

Speaking Sunday at Mafuva village in Masvingo West at the funeral wake of Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume’s late mother, Chief Charumbira said Chamisa and Mnangagwa need to have tea together, even if it meant Chamisa bringing his own teabags if he feared being poisoned.

At the time, Constable Mashishi said the driver was stopped after he sped towards oncoming traffic in an attempt to overtake a funeral convoy in the presence of police officers.

“On Sunday, 19 February, 2023 at 10am, members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department Tembisa precinct, arrested a male suspect in his forties, for possession of a fraudulent driver’s licence, in the Lethabong section,” Mashishi said.

“While officers were busy with the funeral escort, from Tembisa to the Mooifontein cemetery, they noticed a white Toyota Quantum minibus taxi with one male occupant, unsafely overtaking the hearse and facing oncoming traffic on Andrew Mapheto Drive near the Tembisa Plaza.”

“A driver in possession of the Zimbabwean foreign national driver’s licence, was handcuffed after officers picked up that, the driver’s licence produced, was false. Necessary arrangements were made, for the minibus taxi, to end up at the owner’s hands, while the suspect was marched to the Tembisa police station,” Mashishi said.

“A charge of ‘possession of a fraudulent driver’s licence’, was registered against the suspect and he is expected to appear at the Rabasotho/Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.”

Aspiring Zanu Pf MP On The Run Over Violence

By A Correspondent- Aspiring ZANU PF Mazowe West Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Makwezva is on the run after he allegedly bashed a district party chairman on Sunday.

Makwezva of house number 11570 Hatclif, Harare and is employed at Vehicle Inspectorate Department (VID) is challenging Mazowe West MP Kazembe Kazembe.

Sources close to investigations allege he assaulted Chinga Tsekwende of plot 8 Wengi farm Concession after he told him that he would not stand  with Kazembe in primary elections.

“Tsekwende is chairman for Munhangari district so Makwezva had come to campaign in that district but the chairman told him to try in some districts because his district is solidly behind Kazembe and that angered Makwezva hence he assaulted him with open hands,” said the source.

The matter was reported at Concession police under Rrb number 5168387.

Thigh Vendors Pose As MSU Students

By A Correspondent- It was on a Friday when Mr Trust Dengu (not his real name) who had just relocated to Gweru from Masvingo decided to go out and treat himself to some beers and braai at a popular night spot in the central business district (CBD).

Mr Dengu had been appointed new manager for a leading hardware company and was excited to be in a new environment.

After downing one or two beers, Mr Dengu’s eyes fell on a young woman and after engaging in a conversation, she revealed to him that she was a student at the Midlands State University (MSU) pursuing a degree in Music and Musicology.

He said they then went to his lodgings to spend some quality time together.
“On Saturday morning she left my lodgings saying she had weekend lectures. Since it was a weekend and I wasn’t on duty, some guys I work with decided to take me to Mkoba One shopping centre popularly known as Makanda,” said Mr Dengu.

He said as he was chilling with his boys, he suddenly saw the young woman that he thought was in class at MSU.

“The ‘MSU’ student I had spent the night with who was supposed to be attending weekend lectures, was at Makanda business centre drinking beer with some female friends around 11AM. I told the guys I was with that I had spent a night with her and they laughed at me saying I could not wait to settle down before sleeping with prostitutes,” said Mr Dengu.

He said that’s when he learnt that he had been lied to and as they say, the rest is history.
This is the situation in the city of Gweru and Zvishavane town where sex workers in a bid to attract clients pretend to be MSU students.

Apart from being a minerals-rich province, Midlands is home to the biggest institution of higher learning, MSU.

There are also tertiary institutions such as Gweru Polytechnic and Mkoba Teachers College but the biggest attraction is MSU.

Ms Tamari Magauze (24) a sex worker said they carry around books, satchels, and laptops so that they lure men who are more attracted to university students.

“We are now carrying laptop bags or satchels and that is an easy way of attracting our clients. Some of us actually go and loiter at the MSU campuses in Gweru and Zvishavane during knock-off time so that we get clients,” she said.

Ms Magauze said it has been proved that men find sleeping with a university student exciting.

“When I tell a client that I am an MSU student, he treats me respectfully. Even the way he looks at me and addresses me changes. They treat me with respect and I get double the usual fee for a night which is US$20. Sleeping with a university student is a status symbol for men and we are now aware of that,” she said.

Another sex worker who declined to be identified said she was once assaulted by a client who found out that she had lied that she was a university student.

“We target new faces in a club because old clients know us. Many of them will be in town for workshops or work-related assignments. I was unfortunately assaulted by one client when he learnt that I had lied to him but in order to survive we continue lying,” she said.

Mr Petros Mazengwa, who is Gweru District HIV and Aids co-ordinator at the National Aids Council (NAC) said Gweru has a thriving sex work industry largely driven by mining activities.

The city, he said, has around 4 500 sex workers and when MSU opens, sex work booms.
“Gweru is a busy city, we tend to see a lot of people coming to Gweru all the time from small-scale miners, academics and sex workers. We have plus or minus 4 500 sex workers in Gweru,” said Mr Mazengwa.

He said sex workers employ various strategies to lure potential clients.

“When MSU opens, they also flock to Gweru during that period because they also want to pretend to be students. Somehow, older men see it as a status symbol to be known to be sleeping with a university student. Clients rarely ask for students’ identity documents and so their word is enough to entice a client,” said Mr Mazengwa.

NAC Midlands provincial manager Mr Mambewu Shumba said there are still challenges in dealing with HIV and Aids.

“The biggest problem in the province is limited access to HIV prevention knowledge and health-related services by people at risk.

These include small-scale miners, sex workers, traders and students,” he said.

Mr Shumba said HIV prevalence in the province is at 11,73 percent adding that the infection rate or incidence is at 0,25 percent.

“This indicates that we have a lot of infections coming in and we still have unprotected sex taking place.

The leading district in terms of both prevalence and incidence is Shurugwi. The district has a prevalence of 16,62 percent and an incidence of 0,4 percent which is quite high in terms of transmission. That is also followed by Mberengwa, Gweru and Zvishavane.

Shurugwi is the epicentre in terms of prevalence by virtue of the fact that there are a lot of mining activities going on,” he said.

MSU director of communications, Mrs Mirirai Mawere said they opened this week for level 1.1 students.

She said the institution has a vibrant Student Affairs Division headed by an Executive Dean to cater for students’ sexual reproductive health needs.

“In that division, there is a counselling and services department with highly qualified counsellors who provide counselling on sexual reproductive health, physical and mental health, drug and substance abuse. There are also student clubs that conduct peer-to-peer counselling and also carry out awareness campaigns,” she said.

Missing Teen’s Decomposed Body Discovered

Karabo Manyama

By A Correspondent- The decomposed body of a teenage girl reported missing in Cyferskuil, near Makapanstad in North West, was found on Wednesday buried in a shallow grave at her boyfriend’s house.

North West police said the decomposed body of Karabo Manyama, 15, was found buried in a shallow grave.

“The decomposed body of 15-year-old Karabo Manyama was discovered on Wednesday, March 8, buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of her 23-year-old boyfriend.

“The boyfriend was arrested on the same day, and he was charged for cases of murder, perjury and defeating the ends of justice. He is expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrate’s Court on Friday, March 10,” said North West police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani.

Manyama, of Monageng Street in Cyferskuil, was last seen on Sunday at about 13:00 when she left home to watch soccer at a nearby field.

She never returned home. A search was conducted around the neighbourhood and Cyferskuil precinct without any success.

In the Free State, police said they had finally cracked the murder case at Malekunutu section of Tseseng Village, where a man’s body was found lying in the yard of his ex-girlfriend, on Sunday. The woman’s new boyfriend has been arrested.

Spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring said the body of a man who sustained two fatal open wounds on his head was discovered by the owner of the house on Sunday.

Mophiring said the man was identified as Mxolisi Mthombeni, 50, residing at Phomolong, next to Tseseng Shopping Complex.

He was the ex-boyfriend of a woman whose son was also found in the same place.

“Both the mother and her son alleged they have not seen the deceased for the past few months and were not in a relationship with the deceased anymore.

“On Wednesday, the new boyfriend was arrested and linked to the alleged murder of the deceased,” Mophiring said.

He was expected to appear in the Tseseng Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, facing a charge of murder.

Man Dumps Wife Over Man

By A Correspondent- A woman claims her ex-husband has become gay after leaving her for another man.

She stated this in court yesterday, when she was claiming child support for their two-year-old son.

Loveness Chokuvamba filed a US$150 claim against her ex-husband, Agripah Chinzou, in Harare Civil Court yesterday.

“He works as a housing inspector for a housing cooperative and can afford to pay US$150, but he is highly irresponsible and neglects his child’s needs,” Chokuvamba explained.

She also told the court that her ex-husband had become gay after leaving her for his male lover.

“He left after stealing some of my property with a man he introduced to me as his friend.

“He is now apparently staying with that man as the ‘wife’,” she said.

In response, Chinzou offered US$50.

“I can only afford to pay US$50. I have no problem with taking care of the child.

“She is giving the wrong impression of my sexuality,” he said, without elaborating.

Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini ordered Chinzou to pay US$80 in maintenance.

Chigumba Wins ConCourt Case On Delimitation

The appeal against the delimitation process that drew new borders for the House of Assembly, Senate, and wards to be utilised in the next and any future general elections was rejected by the Constitutional Court.

ZEC boss Justice Priscilla Chigumba – file copy

The new names and boundaries drawn by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission have since been gazetted ahead of the elections sometime this year.

The apex court ruling yesterday comes after a political activist Tonderai Chidawa had filed a lawsuit, seeking to overturn the delimitation process, arguing the process was flawed because the tenets of the Constitution were not followed.

But in a brief order, the apex court rejected the bid without giving finer details of its decision, saying the reasons would be made available in due course.

Chidawa’s lawyer Professor Lovemore Madhuku described the court decision as unsatisfactory.

“It’s a very disappointing judgment because the court has refused to have an opportunity to look at Section 119 (of the Constitution) and obligations of Parliament, thereof,” he said speaking to journalists outside Mashonganyika Building which houses the Constitutional Court.

“They will give their reasons later. I suspect the court does not want to interpret Section 119 to go as far as we had put it ourselves, which accountability of State institutions such as independent commissions that Parliament is entitled to investigate how they operate in terms of the Constitution.

“Section 119 of the Constitution, gives Parliament power to ensure that provisions of the Constitution are upheld and that the State and all institutions and agencies of government at every level act constitutionally and in the national interest.”

In his application, Chidawa accused Parliament of failing to invalidate the delimitation report and initiate investigations into it.

The new constituency and ward boundaries set were informed by population densities, geographic considerations and the dictates of the country’s constitution.

Apart from population densities, other considerations in the delimitation exercise were physical features and means of communication, and communities of interest.

This resulted in some former commercial farms being converted into peri-urban areas, while some communal areas, especially those that border urban areas, were converted from their former description to urban or peri-urban areas.

The national Constitution stipulates that ZEC must divide Zimbabwe into 210 constituencies for the purposes of electing Members of Parliament.

To achieve this, the total number of registered voters, which was 5 804 376 at the time of the delimitation, was divided by 210 constituencies.

According to ZEC, that process yielded a national average of 27 640 registered voters per constituency, a figure that satisfies Section 161(3) of the Constitution which states that; “The boundaries of constituencies must be such that, so far as possible, at the time of delimitation equal numbers of voters are registered in each constituency within Zimbabwe”.

Police Intensify Campaign Against Drug Abuse

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police says over 3 500 suspected drug dealers have been arrested since the launch of a special campaign against drug suppliers and peddlers with most of the suspects having already been prosecuted.

Police have intensified their campaign against drug suppliers and peddlers under a special operation dubbed “no to dangerous drugs and illicit substances”.

More than 3 500 suspects have been arrested and prosecuted across the country.

The campaign has seen police using sniffer dogs to search for illicit drugs in homes and vehicles in transit.

The police are also conducting random searches on individuals.

Some of the suspects who were arrested and prosecuted include a suspected Mbare drug kingpin, 31-year-old Simbarashe Chanachimwe popularly known as Dama who was found in possession of sachets of dagga, top model Tumelo Nare aged 26 who was arrested for illegal possession of cocaine.

She is alleged to have overdosed while in a local hotel and walked naked before the police were alerted.

A police officer, Masimba Kunyongana is another suspected drug peddler who was arrested after he was found selling drugs from his car.

40-year-old Tonderai Mutizwa was also nabbed after he was found in possession of 100 grammes of Crystal Meth with a street value of one million Zimbabwe dollars.

The countrywide operation that targets drug suppliers and peddlers was launched last month to cut the drug supply chain. – ZBC News

More than 400% salary increment to securocrats is a bribe: CCC Namibia advocates for parity in civil service.

20 March 2023

Citizens Coalition for Namibia advocates for equality within the civil service. It is quite perturbing that the clueless regime has chosen to increase the salaries of soldiers, police, and CIOs neglecting the health, education, and other sectors which are also receiving slave wages from the politically bankrupt ZANU-PF regime.

Reliable sources unearthed that teachers, nurses, and the rest of the civil servants had their meeting postponed to Monday (today) while the security sector was allocated an increment of more than 400% which translates to 450 000 rtgs and 250US$. It is unacceptable to look down upon educators and those who are in the health sector because they are also scratching their heads for a single nutritious meal per day since they get unsalted peanuts as their remuneration. Citizens in Namibia are convinced that this salary increment is an attempt to bribe the sector toward July\August watershed elections.

It is not a secret that educators and those in the health fraternity deserve a living wage that will capacitate them to deliver quality services in the country. Teachers are on record demanding better salaries but they are completely neglected. Initially, they were simply demanding restoration of the pre-October 2018 salary of 540US$ before they adjusted it to US$1200 due to hyperinflation in the motherland. It has become clear that ZANU-PF prioritizes members of the security department because they are routinely exploited to crackdown on the masses whenever they try to voice up calling for salary increment.

Our message to ZANU-PF is unequivocal! We urge the sadist government to respect all its civil servants. On 1 August 2018 after the harmonized elections, Zimbabweans witnessed the ruthless shooting of protesters in Harare by soldiers. It is through such bribes that the security sector is incentivised to shoot live ammunition on innocent and defenceless citizens exercising their constitutional rights enshrined in the supreme law of the fatherland. The regime should treat civil servants equally.

Teachers, nurses, doctors, agritex officers, cleaners, etc deserve salary increment since they are also incapacitated. We are cognizant of the fact that ZANU-PF is attempting to capture the security members, hoodwinking them using salary increment so that come election season, they obviously take instructions from the shake-shake building. This attempt to manipulate the security sector should be resisted with a double measure. Other civil servants must peacefully pent up their outrage demanding a living wage from the insensitive government. Zimbabwe does not belong to ZANU-PF and its corruptible security sector.

Citizens Coalition for Change Namibia encourages the secluded civil servants to amplify their voices castigating the unsalted peanuts from the desperate regime. They should put pressure so that the unpopular regime treats them in the same way with fellow colleagues. We are aware that the policemen were receiving some sort of indoctrination in the name of patriotism. Citizens are conscious to the fact that all securocrats are going to be coerced to vote ZANU-PF through command voting. It is now obvious after this biased, selective and unfair increment from the frustrated regime is meant to divide the civil service. They are buying support and loyalty, this is a fraud.

We condemn the rigging of elections through such primitive technique of state capture. The security sector should bear in mind that their children anticipate to receive quality health services and high sounding education from the neglected constituencies. They must comprehend the negative impact of incapacitated educators and health workers on their children especially when they are hungry, cynical and disillusioned.

Mr. Mnangagwa should ensure that civil servants are put at par considering their different grades. The national cake belongs to all and sundry hence selecting the security sector alone is corruption and gross abuse of the doctrine of equality and justice. Demanding equity is now imperative! Organize or Starve! CCC Namibia notes the need to unite all victims of this painful development against the incompetence exhibited by ZANU-PF morons.

As social democrats who subscribe to freedom, justice and equality, we encourage all civil servants to register big, elect big, and protect big in July\August. The only option available for the victims of slave wages is to vote for a complete metamorphosis championed by the change champion in chief President Advocate Nelson Chamisa. CCC Namibia begs the victims to resist displacements during elections, a skill used by ZANU-PF to deny them their voting rights by deploying them far away from their polling stations. Sacrificing an allowance of 100US$ for 5 years is unreasonable.

Teachers, nurses, doctors, and rest should be deployed as presiding officers in their wards and constituencies so that their constitutional right to vote is not violated. They should know that their vote is their salary! Their vote is their better livelihood! Their vote is their independence and voice!

First Aid Tips For Miners

  2. Move them onto their side and tilt their head back. Putting them in this position with their head back helps keep their airway open. It ensures their tongue falls forward and blood and vomit drain out. It is sometimes called the “recovery position”.
  3. Call for help or an ambulance as soon as possible.
