Decoding the Odds: Using Statistical Analysis to Understand Slot Games

Step into the world of slot games, where luck and chance determine your fate. But what if there was a way to decipher the odds and better understand these popular casino games? Enter statistical analysis – a powerful tool that can unravel the mysteries behind the spinning reels.

In this article, we delve deep into the realm of slot games, exploring how statistical analysis can help us comprehend the odds. Using data-driven insights, we uncover the secrets of paylines, payout percentages, and the elusive RNG (random number generator) governing every spin.

Importance of statistical analysis in understanding slot games

Statistical analysis plays a crucial role in understanding the mechanics of slot games. It allows us to go beyond the surface level of luck and chance, providing insights into the underlying mathematics and probabilities at play. By analyzing vast amounts of data, statisticians can uncover patterns, identify trends, and determine the odds of different outcomes.

One of the key benefits of statistical analysis is its ability to debunk common myths and misconceptions surrounding slot games. Many players believe in luck-based strategies or hot and cold streaks, but statistical analysis can help separate fact from fiction. It provides concrete evidence based on data, enabling players to make informed decisions and improve their chances of winning.

Furthermore, statistical analysis allows us to evaluate the fairness of slot games. By examining the payout percentages and comparing them to the expected probabilities, we can assess whether a game is truly random or biased in favor of the casino. This level of transparency is essential for building trust between players and the gambling industry.

Common statistical metrics used in slot game analysis

When analyzing slot games, statisticians rely on various statistical metrics to gain insights into the odds and payouts. One commonly used metric is the standard deviation, which measures the variability of outcomes. A high standard deviation indicates a game with more significant fluctuations in wins and losses, while a low standard deviation suggests a more stable gameplay experience.

Another important metric is the mean, which represents the average outcome over an extended period. This metric helps determine the expected return to player (RTP) percentage, which we will explore later. Additionally, statisticians use metrics such as skewness and kurtosis to assess the shape and distribution of outcomes, providing valuable information about the game’s volatility.

Analyzing the frequency and distribution of slot game outcomes

Statistically, statisticians analyze the frequency and distribution of outcomes to understand slot games comprehensively. They collect large amounts of data to determine the probability of hitting different winning combinations and the likelihood of triggering bonus features or jackpots.

By examining the distribution of outcomes, statisticians can identify whether a game is skewed towards small, frequent wins or larger, infrequent wins. This information helps players choose games that align with their preferred risk-reward profile. Some players may prefer the excitement of high-volatility games with the potential for big wins, while others may opt for low-volatility games with more consistent payouts.

Furthermore, analyzing the frequency and distribution of outcomes allows statisticians to identify any anomalies or inconsistencies that may indicate a game is rigged or malfunctioning. This ensures that players can trust the fairness and integrity of their games.

Understanding the concept of volatility in slot games

Volatility is a crucial concept in slot game analysis, and statisticians use statistical techniques to measure and classify a game’s volatility. Volatility refers to the level of risk associated with a game and determines the frequency and magnitude of wins.

High-volatility games are characterized by infrequent but significant wins, making them more unpredictable and potentially more rewarding. On the other hand, low-volatility games offer more frequent but smaller wins, providing a more stable and consistent gameplay experience.

By understanding the volatility of a slot game, players can tailor their strategies and betting patterns accordingly. Those seeking a thrilling, high-risk experience may opt for high-volatility games, while players looking for more consistent wins may prefer low-volatility games. Statistical analysis helps players make informed decisions based on their risk appetite and desired gaming experience.

Using statistical analysis to determine the return to player (RTP) percentage

The return to player (RTP) percentage is a critical metric that indicates the long-term expected payout of a slot game. It represents the percentage of the total wagered amount that a player can expect to win back over time. Statisticians use statistical analysis to calculate and evaluate the RTP percentage of different games.

To determine the RTP percentage, statisticians analyze the game’s paytable, which outlines the payouts for each winning combination. They also consider the probability of hitting each winning combination based on the number of symbols and paylines. Statistically, statisticians can estimate the RTP percentage by combining these factors with the game’s volatility and average bet size.

The RTP percentage is an essential information for players as it indicates the house edge or the casino’s advantage over time. A higher RTP percentage suggests a more player-friendly game with better odds of winning. Players can use this information to choose games that offer higher RTP percentages, maximizing their chances of success.

The role of random number generators (RNGs) in slot game outcomes

Random number generators (RNGs) are at the heart of slot game outcomes. These algorithms generate a sequence of random numbers that determine the position of the reels and the symbols displayed after each spin. Statistical analysis helps us understand the role of RNGs and their impact on the overall gameplay experience.

Statisticians analyze the output of RNGs to ensure that they produce truly random and unbiased results. They evaluate the randomness of the generated numbers using statistical tests and algorithms. Any patterns or deviations from randomness would indicate a flaw in the RNG, compromising the game’s fairness.

Furthermore, statisticians use RNG analysis to assess the hit frequency and the distribution of winning combinations. Understanding RNGs’ intricacies can provide valuable insights into the probability of hitting specific symbols or triggering bonus features. This information helps players make informed decisions and develop effective strategies.

Statistical techniques for identifying patterns and trends in slot game data

Statistical analysis offers a range of techniques for identifying patterns and trends in slot game data. Regression analysis is commonly used, which helps determine the relationship between different variables and outcomes. By examining historical data, statisticians can identify factors influencing winning probabilities, such as the number of paylines or the bet size.

Another technique is data clustering, which groups similar outcomes based on their characteristics. This helps statisticians identify patterns and similarities in gameplay, enabling them to make predictions about future outcomes. Clustering techniques can also assist in identifying any anomalies or irregularities that may indicate a game malfunction or manipulation.

Additionally, statisticians use time series analysis to study how slot game outcomes evolve over time. Analyzing sequential data, they can identify trends, seasonality, and other temporal patterns. This information is valuable for players who want to capitalize on or avoid unfavorable periods. If you are ready to apply those techniques, check this article.

How statistical analysis can inform slot game strategies

Statistical analysis plays a crucial role in informing slot game strategies. By providing insights into the odds, probabilities, and payout percentages, statisticians empower players to make informed decisions and maximize their chances of winning.

One strategy that statistical analysis supports is bankroll management. Players can allocate their funds wisely and avoid excessive losses by understanding the volatility and RTP percentages of different games. They can choose games with a suitable risk-reward profile that aligns with their bankroll size and gaming preferences.

Statistical analysis also helps players identify games with the best odds and highest RTP percentages. Players increase their chances of achieving positive outcomes over the long run by selecting games with favorable characteristics, such as low volatility and high RTP. This strategic approach allows players to maximize their time and money spent on slot games.

Remain Loyal To Country, Mnangagwa Instructs Soldiers

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa says unflinching patriotism, loyalty and discipline are attributes expected from the country’s uniformed forces.

He was speaking at the Commissioning Parade of 182 Regular Officer Cadets at the Zimbabwe Military Academy (ZMA) in Gweru this Friday.

The Zimbabwe Military Academy in Gweru held its 39th Commissioning Parade of the Regular Cadet Course.

As Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Emmerson Mnangagwa presided over the commissioning of regular officer cadets who went through a grueling 21 months of training.

The President said they went through a unique mental, physical and intellectual training regiment.

“Throughout the period, graduands have demonstrated great resolve, determination and commitment to meet the required training standards of this academy and indeed the ZNA. The regular officer cadet commenced training on 18 July 2022 with an initial enrolment of 220 candidates. As per the norm, the courses training programme was divided into 3 distinct phases in order to systematically accomplish the desired training objectives,” he said.

President Mnangagwa spoke about the key role of embracing technology in the uniformed forces.

He added, “Science, technology and innovation are critical cogs for the modernisation of the defence forces. I challenge the Zimbabwe Defence Force across its training institutions, departments and agencies, to scale up focus on innovation and technology development to leap forward and broaden our capabilities within the military sector.”

He also emphasised the need for patriotism among the soldiers.

“As Commander-in-Chief, I demand unflinching patriotism and loyalty, while discipline, sacrifice, dependability and selflessness must be exhibited at all times,” said the President.

The President reminded the officer cadets that the interests of the people come first, at all times.

“Service in the defense forces is a life of service to our great nation and entails placing the interests of our people and country ahead of personal interests. This calls for the highest standards of honor and integrity amongst you. Always remember that you are not just joining an organisation; you are becoming part of a broader family which also thrives on honor, respect, courage, decisiveness, dependability, initiative and tact,” he said.

President Mnangagwa said the graduating course should always bear in mind that for over four decades, generations of Zimbabwean National Army officers, men and women have stepped up the call of duty and served with dedication and integrity and the same is expected from them.

Semiotics Of Football

Mendy in this scene was asking Rodrigo or Kroos to quickly cover the direction from which the German would shoot from deep, because Ferland was paying attention to Kimmich, who quickly came from behind in an attempt to distract Mendy and prepare for the shot. Sané actually succeeded and took advantage of Rodrigo and Kroos not covering him properly and shot. A strong ball that I put into the net.

Therefore, in a previous post, I said and spoke that Mendy, on the defensive level, is one of the best full-backs in the world, if not the best. He knows and has a good reading of the opponent’s attack and also has a very high mental presence. He just needs proper defensive support from his teammates.

Mnangagwa Says No One Will Die Of Hunger While Wasting Millions On Iranian Weapons

Controversial Spending Undermines Food Security Promises in Zimbabwe.

In a recent address from his family homestead in Masvingo North, Emmerson Mnangagwa reiterated his commitment that “no Zimbabwean will die of hunger,” promising government action to secure adequate food supplies amid a severe drought. Despite these assurances, controversy swirls around the President’s decision to allocate significant funds for purchasing weapons from Iran, rather than focusing on critical grain imports.

Critics quickly pointed out the stark contradiction in the government’s spending priorities. An opposition member criticized the administration, saying, “While the President promises food security, his actions speak louder, diverting crucial funds to arms rather than to the starving mouths of our citizens.”

Mnangagwa’s speech came during the memorial service for his late grandson, where he detailed plans to combat food insecurity, including a nationwide initiative to establish business units in every village to support rural women with resources like solar-powered boreholes and fish farming facilities. However, given the President’s history of unfulfilled promises, skepticism remains high. “Yes, this year there is drought, but we want to assure you that, as your government, we are doing everything in our power and capacity so that there is no family in Zimbabwe, from Zambezi to Limpopo, that succumbs to hunger because of lack of food,” Mnangagwa asserted.

Despite these promises, the optics of military spending during a humanitarian crisis have sparked outrage. Political analyst Takura Zhangazha noted, “It’s deeply troubling to see such a disconnect between the government’s professed goals and their actual financial commitments. Investing in weapons at a time when people are suffering from hunger shows a profound misplacement of priorities.”

The debate continues as Mnangagwa’s administration pushes forward with its plans. Citizens and watchdog groups are calling for increased transparency and a reevaluation of spending to ensure that immediate needs, such as food security, are met before other expenditures. “As a country with a functional government, no one will die of hunger or starve because we faced drought; we must agree on that!” the President concluded in his address, a statement that remains to be tested as the nation confronts its challenges.- By Farai D Hove

Mnangagwa Consolidates Power, Ropes In The Army In His 2030 Ndinenge Ndichipo Campaign

By Political Correspondent- President Emerson Mnangagwa’s Friday actions have sent clear signals of a consolidation of power, mainly through his strategic engagement with the military.

This move is notably evident in his latest initiative, the “2030 Ndinenge Ndichipo Campaign,” where he effectively enlisted the armed forces to bolster his authority within the ruling Zanu PF party and the nation at large.

When Mnangagwa took over power in November 2017, after a coup that ousted long-standing President Robert Mugabe, it was agreed that he would assume power temporarily, promising to cede authority to his deputy, Constantino Chiwenga, after serving two terms.

However, since assuming office, Mnangagwa has meticulously worked to solidify his position, beginning with a series of purges targeting military figures aligned with Chiwenga.

This calculated manoeuvring serves a dual purpose: neutralizing potential sources of opposition and consolidating his control over the military apparatus.

A Friday event in Gweru provided a striking illustration of Mnangagwa’s symbiotic relationship with the military.

During the commissioning of the 39th Regular Officer Cadet Course at the Zimbabwe Military Academy, Mnangagwa not only reiterated the importance of the armed forces but also explicitly tied their role to his own political agenda.

He was direct on the need for the military to align with his “2030 vision,” a clear indication of their instrumental role in advancing his political ambitions.

“The Zimbabwe Defence Forces should always defend the secure and stable environment, which is necessary for the attainment of our Vision to become an upper middle-income economy by 2030.

“Following this graduation, huge responsibilities, associated with the ranks of officers, are reposed on you to command men and women whose duty is to safeguard the independence, territorial integrity and prosperity of our country,” he said.

Mnangagwa’s speech at the event showed his intention to co-opt the military as a key ally in his quest for prolonged dominance.

He praised the armed forces for their contributions to national stability and development while at the same time urging them to embrace technological advancements to enhance their capabilities—a subtle nod to modernizing the military infrastructure under his purview.

Moreover, Mnangagwa’s address contained thinly veiled exhortations for unwavering loyalty and obedience from the newly commissioned officers. By emphasizing their duty to safeguard national interests and uphold the principles of the ruling establishment, Mnangagwa effectively signaled his expectation for the military to serve as guardians of his regime.

Uege Mutema Says “Don’t Marry Non-Virgins, They Are Most Likely To Cheat”

By Dorrothy Moyo | Uege Mutema, a relationship coach recently granted an Aqua vehicle by businessman, Wicknell Chivayo, has sparked a heated debate with her claims regarding virginity and fidelity. In her March video release, Mutema asserts that women who are not virgins are more likely to cheat because they have formed “soul ties” with previous partners, which might number as many as fifty. She advises men to marry only virgins to avoid such risks.

-Concept of “Soul Ties”
Mutema’s theory of “soul ties” suggests that sexual relationships forge bonds that carry emotional and spiritual baggage into future relationships. This view is often grounded in spiritual or religious beliefs that see virginity as not just a physical state but a moral and psychological clean slate. Critics argue this perspective is simplistic and overlooks the complexity of human relationships and the myriad factors that influence personal conduct, including loyalty and fidelity.

-Criticisms of Mutema’s Viewpoint
Nono Muyengwa and Peter Mangombe represent voices of dissent in response to Mutema’s claims. Muyengwa strongly disputes the linkage between virginity and loyalty, emphasizing that cheating or faithfulness is a matter of character rather than sexual history. He points out that virginity does not guarantee fidelity, noting some virgins might cheat due to lack of exposure or understanding of relationship dynamics.

Peter Mangombe succinctly critiques Mutema’s analysis as “very poor,” arguing that infidelity is unrelated to virginity. His position suggests that focusing solely on virginity might overlook deeper qualities and values that are foundational to successful and faithful relationships.

-Broader Implications.
The debate touches on broader social and cultural dynamics, including the stigmatization of women based on their sexual history. This can lead to damaging stereotypes where women’s value is closely tied to their sexual purity, potentially overlooking their other qualities and contributions to a relationship.

Furthermore, such views might perpetuate gender inequality, where women are held to different standards than men regarding premarital sexual activity. This double standard can exacerbate issues of trust and honesty within relationships.

Psychological and Sociological Perspectives.

Psychologists and sociologists might argue that fidelity is influenced by a range of factors such as individual values, relationship satisfaction, and social background rather than just past sexual experiences. Research suggests that trust, communication, mutual respect, and emotional bonding are more predictive of relationship fidelity than any aspect of sexual history.

While Mutema’s views resonate with certain traditional or conservative perspectives, they face substantial criticism from those who advocate for a more nuanced understanding of relationships and fidelity. The debate illustrates the tension between traditional mores and contemporary values that emphasize personal choice and equal standards for both partners in a relationship. As society evolves, the discourse surrounding relationships, fidelity, and virginity will likely continue to develop, requiring a balanced understanding that respects both individual freedoms and cultural values.

US Lawyer Caged 10 Years For Hiring Hitman To Kill Zim Model

By Diplomatic Correspondent- A US attorney has been caged for 10 years for hiring a hitman to kill his ex-Zim model wife.

Allen Gessen, 49, an attorney out of Massachuset, paid someone he thought would arrange to kill his estranged ex-wife and the mother of his children, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Friday in San Francisco, according to the U.S. Department of Justice Northern District of California.

Gessen, first came into contact with an undercover FBI agent when he was being investigated for money laundering in the summer of 2022.

Gessen met with the undercover agent twice, and during these meetings, he volunteered information about his years-long dispute with his former partner, Zimbabwean model Priscilla Chigariro, which had resulted in contentious child custody proceedings, according to prosecutors.

Using the connections he thought an undercover agent posing as a criminal might have, Gessen’s objectives “quickly transformed from bribing an immigration official to deport his former partner” to “hiring someone to murder her,” according to prosecutors.

Gessen had initially negotiated $100,000 for the bribery and deportation scheme but then decided he wanted Chigariro murdered and offered $50,000 to have it carried out.

According to prosecutors, Gessen wanted to kill Chigariro because he said it was “cheaper to get rid of her” and was a more permanent solution. He also wanted full custody of their children. He told the undercover agent that he had previously tried to hire people to kill her, but that they had jacked up their price to $210,000.

Eventually, Gessen wired $23,000 to an undercover FBI bank account in San Francisco in hopes that the murder would be carried out. He also sent the undercover agent an agreement to pay for fake consulting services to cover up the true nature of the funds and wired the agent information about Chigariro’s whereabouts, her schedule, and her lifestyle habits.

Gessen was indicted in July 2022 and was charged with one count of murder for hire and was convicted by a jury. He was given 120 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Chivhayo Speaks On Presidential Ambitions

By Showbiz Reporter- Zanu PF apologist and controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo has responded to reports that he wants to be part of the presidency.

Chivhayo responded by saying that he had set aside US$850 000 to acquire 100 Toyota Aqua vehicles, which he said he would distribute to Zanu PF youths across the country’s 10 provinces.

Chivhayo said the cars will be distributed randomly to Zanu PF youths who campaigned hard for ZANU PF to secure victory in the 2023 harmonised elections.

The Zanu PF apologist, who has been dishing out cars to selected musicians and actors, said he will not stop, and wished that at least 10 local businesspeople emulated his “generosity”.

Commenting on a video clip by comedian King Kandoro (real name Mukudzei Kandoro Majoni), who appeared to mock him and ZANU PF for the extravagance, Chivayo said the ruling party deserves respect. He said:

As much as I sometimes find this boy funny, I certainly dislike his unjustified criticism of my beloved party ZANU PF, all in the name of humour and satire.

The revolutionary party ushered us the independence which we celebrate and enjoy to this very day and therefore equally deserves some measure of respect.

The sad news for him is I’m not stopping sorry to say! There are so many rich people out there who barely share their wealth with anyone.

Imagine if we had just 10 generous business tycoons like me in Zimbabwe, we would live in a better place.

Exceptional and committed philanthropists like myself should never be the subject of such petty humour for comic mileage!

It takes a lot of love and faith to be able to bless a whole lot of people that you don’t know, you’ve never even met and are not related to.

The wiser thing to do is shower more praises and keep encouraging them to soldier on to try to enable more people to benefit.

Chivayo then announced his plans to acquire a fleet of Toyota Aquas that he will distribute to ZANU PF youths. He said:

On that note, after watching this video I have decided to spare yet another 850 thousand dollars from my small savings to buy Toyota Aquas next week.

These vehicles will be randomly distributed equally across the country’s 10 Provinces, starting with Mashonaland East, kumusha kwangu to the deserving youths who were outstanding and worked tirelessly during the Election period.

I will first of all seek the requisite permission from the party leadership, then liaise with the Minister of each Province and Provincial chairmen to ensure that appropriate and deserving beneficiaries receive their recognition.

If I had enough money I would buy every ZANU PF member and Johanne Masowe follower a car but I’m only a big-hearted businessman who has so much love but is still struggling to make ends meet.

I appreciate the mostly good feedback and gratefulness, but to those few who still hate being patient, I have more in store for you.

Chivayo had another dig at King Kandoro, likening him to what he referred to as failed opposition political outfits.

He also dismissed suggestions that he aspires to a top position in ZANU PF. Chivayo has lately been described in some quarters as the “Vice President At Large” after he appeared alongside President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State events. Said Chivayo:

I am fully aware of how similar-minded comedians have masked their sarcasm and ridicule through humour, following the shallow footsteps of failed opposition political outfits.

I have consistently been the subject of political caricature by some cartoonists out of desperation for online relevance.

No amount of opposition-supported propaganda insinuating that “I am the VP at Large” or that “I hold political ambition” will change my loyalty to ZANU PF.

I will forever remain a card-carrying member of the Revolutionary Party and will always wholeheartedly vote for ZANU PF in every election as this is my constitutional right to do so!

In the meantime, I will never slow down on my opulent lifestyle so please allow me to be serenaded by the endless luxury of flying first class on a brief vacation to London.

Decoding the Allure: What Sets Crypto Casinos Apart from Traditional Online Gambling?

Step into the world of online gambling, and you’ll quickly discover a new player in town: crypto casinos. These digital platforms offer a refreshing take on traditional online gambling, thanks to the integration of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. But what exactly sets crypto casinos apart from their conventional counterparts?

Cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, is a digital or virtual currency that utilizes cryptography for security. Unlike traditional currencies governments issue, cryptocurrencies operate on decentralized networks called blockchains. These blockchains ensure transparency, security, and immutability of transactions.

Security and anonymity in crypto casinos

One of the most significant advantages of crypto casinos is the enhanced security and anonymity they provide to players. Traditional online gambling platforms often require personal information, such as names, addresses, and financial details, which can be vulnerable to hacking and identity theft. In contrast, crypto casinos allow users to gamble without revealing their identities, ensuring higher privacy and protection.

Furthermore, using cryptocurrencies adds an extra layer of security to transactions. The decentralized nature of blockchain technology makes it extremely difficult for hackers to manipulate or steal funds. Additionally, using cryptographic algorithms ensures that transactions are secure and cannot be tampered with.

Transparency and fairness in Crypto casinos

Transparency and fairness are critical aspects of any gambling experience. Crypto casinos excel in this regard by utilizing provably fair gaming algorithms. These algorithms allow players to verify the fairness of each game, ensuring that the casino does not manipulate outcomes.

Traditionally, online casinos rely on random number generators (RNGs) to determine game outcomes. However, these RNGs can be susceptible to manipulation by the casino. In contrast, provably fair algorithms in crypto casinos provide cryptographic proof that the game outcomes are truly random and fair, giving players peace of mind.

Faster transactions and lower fees in crypto casinos

Another advantage of crypto casinos is the speed and efficiency of transactions. Traditional online casinos often involve lengthy withdrawal processes and high transaction fees. With crypto casinos, transactions are processed almost instantly, allowing players to access their winnings quickly.

Additionally, the absence of intermediaries, such as banks or payment processors, reduces transaction fees significantly. Crypto transactions typically incur lower fees than traditional payment methods, making crypto casinos more cost-effective for players and operators.

The future of crypto casinos

The future of online gambling seems to be closely intertwined with cryptocurrencies and crypto casinos. As the popularity of cryptocurrencies continues to rise, more online gamblers are embracing the convenience and benefits of crypto casinos.

The decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies fosters a sense of trust and transparency among players. With no intermediaries, players have full control over their funds, eliminating concerns about frozen accounts or delayed withdrawals. This enhanced level of control and security will likely attract a growing number of online gamblers to crypto casinos. If you are interested, come over here for more.

Popular cryptocurrencies used in crypto casinos

Several cryptocurrencies are commonly accepted in crypto casinos. Bitcoin, the pioneering cryptocurrency, is widely used and accepted across various platforms. Its popularity and stability make it a preferred choice for many online gamblers.

Ethereum, known for its smart contract capabilities, is also gaining prominence in the crypto-gambling industry. The ability to create and execute smart contracts opens up exciting possibilities for innovative and interactive gambling experiences.

Other popular cryptocurrencies in the crypto gambling space include Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ripple. Each cryptocurrency offers unique features and benefits, catering to the diverse preferences of online gamblers.

How to get started with crypto casinos

Getting started with crypto casinos is relatively straightforward, even for those new to cryptocurrencies. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you begin:

  • Choose a reputable crypto casino: Research and select a reliable crypto casino that meets your game variety, security, and user experience requirements.
  • Create an account: Sign up for an account on the chosen crypto casino platform. Some platforms may require verification of KYC (Know Your Customer), while others offer anonymous gambling options.
  • Obtain cryptocurrency: Acquire the cryptocurrency of your choice, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, through a trusted exchange. Using traditional payment methods, you can purchase cryptocurrencies or exchange them with other digital assets.
  • Deposit funds: Once you have acquired the cryptocurrency, deposit it into your crypto casino account. Most crypto casinos provide a unique wallet address for each user to facilitate deposits.
  • Start gambling: With funds in your account, explore the wide range of games available on the platform and start gambling. Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Conclusion: Embracing the future of online gambling with crypto casinos

Crypto casinos offer a unique and enticing alternative to traditional online gambling platforms. The integration of cryptocurrencies brings enhanced security, anonymity, transparency, and fairness to the gambling experience. With faster transactions and lower fees, crypto casinos provide a convenient and cost-effective way to gamble online.

As cryptocurrencies gain mainstream acceptance and adoption, the future of online gambling is set to be revolutionized by crypto casinos. Whether you’re a seasoned online gambler or just curious about this emerging trend, embracing crypto casinos opens up a world of exciting possibilities in the realm of online gambling. So, dive in, explore, and enjoy the allure of crypto casinos!

Baby Dumping Cases Stun Bindura

Residents of Chipadze suburb in Bindura are searching for answers after two babies were dumped in a banana field and discovered at different intervals on Tuesday.

Kudakwashe Mavhunga, a scrap metal collector who stumbled upon the first foetus after 12 mid-day, before the second was discovered at dusk narrated the shocking incident.

“Around 12pm, I was looking for scrap and then I discovered a baby in a plastic paper bag. I told the local councillor who called the police and they came and took the body. This evening, I was heading home having finished matters with the police and I was with my colleague to take another sack and we discovered a cloth with a foetus,” he said.

Ward 5 Councillor Chipo Musonza expressed concern over the unusual occurrence.

“It’s now a matter of concern if people are using the banana plants to dump babies and I will approach council to have them removed because the situation is untenable,” she said.

The baby dumping incident has ignited the issue of safe abortion.

Councillor Musonza added, “I am kindly asking for women’s action groups to enhance the lobby for the law of safe abortion because now babies are being killed when they have developed.”

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the incident saying investigations are still in progress.

Zanu PF Hardliners Browbeat Ostallos Siziba

By A Correspondent

On Workers Day, Gift Ostallos Siziba, an opposition figure, faced criticism from Zanu PF Varakashi team running a Facebook page called Operation Restore Legacy, for his decision to walk out of the venue.

Ostallos walked out of the venue when Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo mantra was chanted by a Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions official at the national commemoration event.

According to Varakashi:
“Colonial indoctrination remains potent in Zimbabwean opposition politics.”

They further added:

“‘Nyika inovakwa nevene VAYO’ is a message for all Zimbabweans, not just Zanu PF.

Siziba’s departure from the stadium immediately after the MC recited the mantra raises questions about his commitment.”

They questioned:

“Did Siziba expect the MC to substitute ‘Nyika inovakwa nevene VAYO’ with ‘Nyika inovakwa ne America’? Would he have walked out in that scenario?”

The critique highlights the perceived narrowness and shallowness of opposition politics, with Varakashi suggesting a lack of understanding regarding overlapping ideologies within the country’s political landscape.

Methodist Splits Over LGBT

Zimbabwe United Methodist Church Denounces U.S. Decision to Recognize Homosexuality*

**HARARE, ZIMBABWE** — The United Methodist Church (UMC) in Zimbabwe has vehemently rejected a recent decision by its U.S. counterpart to endorse homosexual practices within the church, which they described as “a betrayal of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” This dispute marks a significant schism within the global UMC community.

Earlier this week, delegates at the UMC General Conference in the United States voted 523 to 161 to remove language deeming “the practice of homosexuality… incompatible with Christian teaching” from their Social Principles. The revised principles now recognize marriage as “a sacred, lifelong covenant” between two consenting adults, irrespective of gender, aligning with modern interpretations of inclusivity.

Randall Miller, chair of the Social Principles Task Force, celebrated the decision as a “historic moment,” reflecting on his four-decade journey advocating for LGBTQ inclusion in church life. “It’s wonderful to have come to this moment,” Miller stated, expressing deep gratitude for the progress made.

Contrasting sharply with this view, the Zimbabwean delegation, led by Reverend Forbes Matonga, argued that the decision represents a departure from millennia-old church teachings and capitulates to Western secular norms at the expense of African cultural values. “This is a betrayal of The Gospel of Jesus Christ in favor of Western secular culture,” Rev. Matonga declared from the United States.

He further warned that the decision posed risks to younger generations, particularly those studying in U.S.-based Methodist educational institutions, where they might be introduced to these “heathen” beliefs.

Echoing Matonga’s concerns, Anesu Kapanga, a UMC congregant in Zimbabwe, emphasized the legal and cultural ramifications within the church, foreseeing inevitable legal challenges and a shift in church policy toward recognizing homosexual unions.

The broader reaction in Zimbabwe has been one of strong opposition, with church leaders and members calling for adherence to traditional biblical interpretations. Bishop Ignatius Makumbe of the Zimbabwe Council of Churches urged local churches to maintain alignment with the nation’s statutory laws, which recognize marriage exclusively as a union between a man and a woman.

As debates continue to flare on social media and within religious communities, the UMC’s decision has exposed deep divisions not only within the church but also between different global regions’ interpretations of faith and morality. The Zimbabwean branch of the UMC remains steadfast in its opposition, with further discussions and responses anticipated in the coming weeks.

Real Robbery or Inside Job?- Church Safe Blown Up

Brazen Robbery at St Gerard’s Catholic Church Raises Suspicions of Insider Involvement.

In the early hours of yesterday, St Gerard’s Catholic Church in Borrowdale was the scene of a daring robbery. Unidentified assailants invaded the church premises, making away with undisclosed sums of money. The incident, which involved breaking into the church’s parish office and blowing open safes, has ignited concerns over whether this could have been an insider job.

According to Father Mark Chikuni, the Rector and Parish Priest of St Gerard’s, the robbers entered the compound sometime between 1:30 AM and 2:00 AM. “We were awakened by sounds of explosions that seemed to originate from our compound. This was not just a theft; it was a violation of our sacred spaces,” Father Chikuni reported in a statement.

Eyewitness accounts from the scene described the robbers as having precise knowledge of the church’s layout. They reportedly bypassed several less significant rooms to target key areas where valuables were stored. “These culprits also entered the main church through the cry room and did not hesitate to break into the Parish Priest’s office, the sacristy, and the altar server’s room,” Father Chikuni elaborated. He expressed distress over the desecration of these sacred rooms, emphasizing that the intruders thoroughly searched the areas, likely in pursuit of additional cash.

Intriguingly, despite the presence of a security guard who was on patrol at the time of the robbery, the thieves managed to execute their plan without any confrontations. “No one was harmed, thankfully, including our guard who was on duty that night,” Father Chikuni added.

This detail, coupled with Father Chikuni’s remark that the church does not typically keep cash on the premises, has fueled speculation about the nature of the robbery. The prompt targeting of specific areas within the church and the knowledge of cash kept in the office safes suggest that the robbers might have had insider information.

The church’s finance council has taken immediate action in response to the robbery, prioritizing enhancements to the church’s security infrastructure. Father Chikuni appealed to the public for support, urging community members to assist in any possible way to prevent future incidents.

Law enforcement officials have launched a thorough investigation, looking into all possible leads including the theory of an inside job. Detective Inspector Linda Sibanda, leading the investigation, stated, “We are exploring every angle, including internal involvement. It’s crucial we apprehend these individuals not only to recover the stolen property but to ensure the sanctity of our community spaces is maintained.”

The community of Borrowdale has reacted with shock and outrage, rallying around the church in this difficult time. Regular parishioner, Mrs. Elizabeth Tonderai, expressed her dismay: “It’s heartbreaking that someone would desecrate our church. We come here seeking peace and solace, and it’s unsettling to think that one of our own could be involved.”

As the investigation unfolds, the community and authorities are hopeful for a swift resolution to bring those responsible to justice and restore peace to the parish of St Gerard’s.

ZCTU A Useless Mnangagwa Dross: Sarkozy

By A Correspondent

Stephen Sarkozy Chuma, former MDC Alliance and CCC Youth Assembly spokesperson, has levelled serious allegations against the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU), claiming that it has fallen under the sway of Zanu PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Chuma did not mince words, stating:

“Workers Day! A reminder of how ZANU PF destroyed industries & state enterprises like NRZ. Big companies fled due to bad policies. Industries now turned into churches.

A country of loafers & vendors! A few lucky to be employed are getting peanuts. Workers Arise!”

Taking to X, Chuma further accused the ZCTU of being a mere mouthpiece for Mnangagwa’s administration:

“Post @MutasaPeter, ZCTU has become a hollow pipe that puffs & ululates to Emmerson Mnangagwa’s dross.

A Workers Day organized under the current ZCTU is an insult to genuine workers. An insult to Benjamin Burombo, Joshua Nkomo & Morgan Tsvangirai!”

Chuma’s remarks highlight growing concerns over the perceived alignment of the ZCTU with the ruling party, sparking debate within the political landscape of Zimbabwe.

RBZ Governor Starts Believing ZiG Currency He Clearly Said Will Fail

Zimbabwe Central Bank Governor Reverses Stance on New Currency, Declares Confidence in ZiG’s Success

By Farai D Hove | In a dramatic shift from his earlier pessimistic view, Dr. John Mushayavanhu, Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), has now voiced strong confidence in the success of the newly introduced Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency. Just last month, Dr. Mushayavanhu had warned that the ZiG would likely fail and pointed fingers at external pressures, notably from the World Bank. However, speaking at a business meeting organized by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce in Masvingo, he passionately defended the homegrown currency.

“The ZiG is a product of Zimbabwean intellect and initiative, conceived by myself with significant local input. It reflects our autonomy in financial matters, distinct from foreign influences,” Dr. Mushayavanhu stated, addressing business leaders and stakeholders. “This currency was not imposed on us; it was carefully considered and is backed by substantial economic reserves, including gold and cash.”

In his previous statements, the governor had been candid about the potential pitfalls facing the ZiG, citing global economic pressures and internal challenges. But his latest comments painted a different picture—one of resilience and national pride. “If at all it fails, which I do not foresee, the responsibility will be ours to bear. But I firmly believe in our collective capacity to make the ZiG a symbol of our economic independence and strength,” he added.

Responding to questions about the currency’s backing, Dr. Mushayavanhu revealed that the ZiG was supported by US$285 million in reserves, including 2.5 tonnes of gold and US$100 million in cash reserves. “These reserves will undergo independent audits annually, ensuring transparency and building public trust,” he assured.

The governor also addressed the circulation dynamics of the ZiG, stating that the country currently has about ZiG 1 billion in circulation, roughly equivalent to US$80 million. This coverage, he noted, provided almost three times the buffer over the existing monetary supply, showcasing a robust foundation for the currency.

Looking forward, Dr. Mushayavanhu outlined several measures aimed at bolstering the ZiG, including the mandatory payment of 50% of taxes in ZiG by June, which he predicted would increase its demand. He also warned against illegal market activities that undermine the currency, such as businesses pegging prices to the US dollar on the black market.

“The onus is on the public to help maintain the integrity of our financial system by reporting such illegal activities,” he emphasized. “Violators will face heavy penalties, making it unsustainable for them to continue these practices.”

Dr. Mushayavanhu concluded his remarks by reiterating his commitment to the ZiG, projecting that by 2028, 80% of transactions within Zimbabwe’s economy would be conducted in ZiG, aligning with the country’s Vision 2030 to fully de-dollarize. The RBZ, he said, will continue its efforts to educate the populace and maintain open lines of communication to foster confidence in the ZiG.

Warriors Seek Victory

The Warriors, will for the second match day in succession, host a World Cup qualifier outside Zimbabwe.

The country’s senior men’s national team will host Lesotho in a Group C encounter at the Orlando Stadium on June 7, as there is still no stadium in Zimbabwe certified to host international matches.

Despite Sports Minister Kirsty Coventry assuring football-loving Zimbabweans last year that the National Sports Stadium will be renovated in time for the qualifiers, the giant facility remains flagged down due to lack of set standards.

The crisis has therefore left the Lincon Mutasa-led Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Normalisation Committee with no option but to seek an alternative venue outside the country, as was the case against Nigeria last year.

Zimbabwe will then take on South Africa in Free State on the 11th of June.

Bulawayo Chiefs Keen To Overcome FC Platinum

AMBITIOUS Bulawayo Chiefs are hoping to perform another giant-killing act when they face troubled defending champions Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium on Saturday.

Bulawayo Chiefs have a knack of taking points away from big clubs and this season they already derailed Highlanders, Dynamos and expensively assembled Simba Bhora.

This Saturday they travel to Mhondoro for a date against struggling defending champions Ngezi Platinum in a potential thriller.

2024 has not been kind for the defending champions with alarm bells ringing in the corridors of power with Ngezi Platinum stars having just one win and six draws in their first nine matches.

Madamburo will have to punch above their weight to collect maximum points against Amakhosi Amahle, a side which seem to have found the right groove in their rebuilding.

“Ngezi Platinum are a side with depth, they are a tough opponent especially playing at home. So we are not reading much on how they started their campaign. We have to be up there to beat them, but we are ready for the game,” said Bulawayo Chiefs head coach, Thulani Sibanda.

Striker Never Rauzhi is leading the charge for Bulawayo Chiefs having netted five goals this season.

“We are taking each game as it comes. Personally, I want to grow as a player. I am happy my coaches are helping me and I am sure I will achieve my objectives,” said Rauzhi.

Chiefs are in third position on the log with 15 points, three behind log leaders Highlanders, while Ngezi are 14th with nine points.

Despite contrasting fortunes, a mouthwatering tie is what awaits the Mhondoro-Ngezi community.

Ivy Kombo and Andy Kasi Accuse State of Unfair Tactics

By A Correspondent| Gospel musician Ivy Kombo and her husband Andy Kasi, accused of illegally acquiring certificates to practice law in Zimbabwe, have lambasted the State, alleging underhanded tactics in their prosecution.

Their lawyers, Admire Rubaya and Everson Chatambudza, depicted a scenario akin to “Animal Farm,” where the State deems itself a superior litigant, wielding unfair advantages.

“The State is creating an animal farm scenario where ‘all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others,'” assert Rubaya and Chatambudza, criticizing the State’s unilateral actions favoring its stance.

They contend that the State’s recent move, spearheaded by District Public Prosecutor Mr. Tafara Chirambira, to involve High Court Judge Justice Sylvia Chirau Mugomba, is a desperate bid to salvage a crumbling case.

Rubaya and Chatambudza argued that this maneuver constitutes simultaneous investigation and prosecution, a flagrant violation of legal norms.

They expressed concern over the State’s tendency to introduce new evidence mid-trial without proper disclosure, citing an email document admitted as evidence without prior notice.

“The State initially applied for the production of a document it claimed was an email allegedly sent from the 3rd Accused person,” lament the defense lawyers.

“The alleged email document had not been served on the accused persons prior to the commencement of trial but notwithstanding clear provisions of the law and the constitutional command, the State’s application was gratuitously granted to the grave prejudice of the accused persons.”

Moreover, they argued that the State’s bid to compel the court to call Judge Chirau Mugomba as a witness further prejudices their clients.

They asserted that such a request exceeds the State’s authority and undermines the court’s autonomy.

“It is the Accused persons` considered view that the provision cited does not entitle a party to apply to the court for it to invoke its powers in terms of that provision,” they contended.

“The understanding of the accused persons counsel is that the provision can only be used by the Court on its own accord to call and/or recall witnesses not for a party to make an application inviting the court to exercise such special powers without statutory support.”

The defense awaits Regional Magistrate Feresi Chakanyuka’s ruling on the matter, slated for Monday.

Mnangagwa Abandons Two Events Amid Coup Fears

By Political Correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa Thursday cancelled two events amid an unspecified “emergency”, leaving observers to believe it could threaten a coup.

Mnangagwa’s house is shaking following indications that he wants to extend his tenure of office beyond 2028, closing doors for his deputy Constantino Chiwenga, who is warming up for the highest office.

Sources within Zanu PF say Chiwenga is not happy with Mnangagwa’s move and is plotting another Mugabe coup against Mnangagwa.

A local daily reported Friday that Mnangagwa cancelled the swearing-in of the newly-appointed deputy ministers Musa Ncube (National Housing and Social Amenities) and Headman Moyo (Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Affairs) at State House.

Mnangagwa also did not turn up for the groundbreaking ceremony of WestProp’s Hills Golf Estate in Mabelreign, Harare, which he was supposed to officiate.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, National Housing and Social Amenities minister Zhemu Soda said the event had been postponed at the State level and could continue as a private event because the President had to attend to some emergency.

 Said Soda:

We postponed because of some emergency he (Mnangagwa) had to attend out of town and we are not sure (if) he will be able to join us. As such, the event at State level has been postponed, but the private event can continue.

Although supermarkets have accepted ZiG, the same currency can not buy fuel.

The state media reported that this week, most schools in Manicaland Province were turning away parents and guardians who wanted to pay fees and levies in local currency.

The schools were claiming that they were yet to synchronise their transaction systems with the new ZiG currency.

The claim, however, does not make sense as most fees are paid through banks whose systems have already been configured and calibrated to the new currency.

Some of the schools were advising parents that they will only accept the new currency when they reopen. This is the same strategy they used during the RTGS era, hoping that the interbank bank rate would have gone up.

Parents who were making payments in foreign currency were readily served.

The Manica Post further reported that boarding schools in the province were demanding fees and levies exclusively in foreign currency.

Director of communications and advocacy in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Taungana Ndoro reiterated the Government’s position that parents have the freedom to pay in a currency of their choice (forex or ZiG). Said Ndoro:

As schools prepare to reopen on May 7, 2024, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education would like to reiterate an important policy regarding school fees payment.

According to Secretary’s Circular No. 10 of 2022, Government’s position is that school fees should be paid in the local currency, which is now referred to as ZiG.

It is essential to note that no school should compel parents to pay fees or levies exclusively in foreign currency as Zimbabwe operates under a multi-currency regime. Parents have the freedom to pay in a currency of their choice.

In cases where fees are pegged in foreign currency for value preservation purposes, parents can make their payments in the local currency at the prevailing interbank rate of the day of the transaction.

This ensures that the fees are appropriately converted into any currency equivalent. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education emphasizes compliance with this policy to ensure fairness and flexibility in fee payments for all parents and guardians.

Uebert Angel In Murder Storm

By Political Correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Gold Dealer and Goodwill ambassador, who is also a controversial preacher, Uebert Angel, is reportedly facing a police investigation following allegations that he hired assassins to kill a rival church leader.

A local weekly reports that a report was made on April 26 at Harare Central Police Station alleging that Angel was linked to an alleged plot involving two suspected South African hitmen hired to kill Batsirai Java of the Tabernacle of Grace Church in Harare.

Angel, who is President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s special envoy to the Americas and Europe and Java have been involved in a long-running rift feud.

Angel, who is the leader of the GoodNews Church (Spirit Embassy), reportedly accuses Java of extortion and blackmail.

Java was married to late opposition MP and former prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s daughter Vimbai, who died following a car accident in 2019.

Batsirai Java is a brother to another Mnangagwa and ZANU PF apologist and self-proclaimed prophet Panganai “Passion” Java.

Last month, Java’s security aide Nigel Dutiro approached the police about the alleged South African assassins.

Dutiro confirmed to The Standard that he made the report under RRB number 141472. He said:

It’s true. I made a police report because there was a threat to life.

Dutiro, however, said he could not reveal more details about the report because the matter was now being handled by the police.

The alleged murder plot was exposed by a woman identified as Sharon Munro, who is said to be based in South Africa.

Munro was allegedly in Zimbabwe on March 31 where she was overhead by patrons at an upmarket bar in Borrowdale, Harare, talking about the alleged plot against Java.

She left the country on April 3 via the Robert Mugabe International Airport.

The Standard reported sources as saying the alleged murder plot was supposed to involve two South Africans only identified as Mkhwananzi and Ndimande.

The alleged hitman entered Zimbabwe through Beitbridge and were later transported as far as Harare.

The South Africans returned home without accomplishing the task after the woman allegedly linked to Angel leaked the details of the plot.

Java was last Sunday summoned by the police as part of the investigations. He said:

l am aware that someone from my church has made a report to the police, and we are waiting for investigations.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said he was yet to get a briefing from Harare police where the matter was reported.

The person who picked up Munro’s phone reportedly said she had no idea what the publication was enquiring about when asked for a comment. She later posted the same questions on her WhatsApp status.

Angel did not respond to questions sent to him by The Standard two weeks ago.

Early last year, Angel was at the centre of a documentary by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit called “Gold Mafia” that exposed illicit gold trade and money laundering by powerful figures in Zimbabwe and the southern African region.

Angel was secretly recorded telling undercover journalists that he could facilitate the smuggling of gold and launder millions of cash by abusing his diplomatic privileges.

Chivhayo Buys 100 Cars For Zanu PF Youths

By Showbiz Reporter- Zanu PF apologist and controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo says he has set aside US$850 000 to acquire 100 Toyota Aqua vehicles, which he said he will distribute to Zanu PF youths across the country’s 10 provinces.

Homeless Warriors Seek Victory On Soweto Soil

CID Arrests Suspect in Vehicle Fraud Scheme Patrick Mutenha

By A Correspondent| The Criminal Investigation Department’s Vehicle Theft Squad (VTS) and serious crimes unit have apprehended Patrick Mutenha, also known as Chimpa, for his alleged involvement in fraud, extortion, and unauthorized sale of client vehicles.

Mutenha had been evading arrest since last Friday following reports of three cases of fraud, extortion, and vehicle theft against him.

However, the CID VTS crack team successfully closed in on him this morning at Arundel Village, where he was reportedly in the process of defrauding another client.

According to authorities, Mutenha’s modus operandi involved deceiving unsuspecting clients and subsequently selling their vehicles without their consent.

Moreover, he allegedly resorted to threats, invoking the names of prominent individuals, including members of the First Family such as Emmerson Jnr Mnangagwa, Sean & Collins, and notable figure Scott Sakupwanya.

The arrest marks a significant milestone in the investigation into Mutenha’s illicit activities, which have reportedly caused financial and emotional distress to numerous victims. By preying on the trust of his clients and resorting to intimidation tactics, Mutenha has allegedly exploited vulnerable individuals for personal gain.

Speaking on the matter, a spokesperson for the CID VTS emphasized the gravity of the charges against Mutenha and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to ensuring justice for the victims.

They urged members of the public who may have fallen victim to similar schemes to come forward and assist with ongoing investigations.

Meanwhile, Mutenha is currently in police custody pending further legal proceedings.

Authorities are urging individuals who may have had dealings with Mutenha or have information relevant to the case to come forward and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.

Mamelodi Sundowns “Boring” Dominance Continues In SA Top Flight Football

Zimbabwean defender Divine Lunga has clinched his second successive league title in South Africa.

The fullback was crowned a champion after helping Mamelodi Sundowns to their seventh successive title.

Sundowns claimed the championship on Thursday night after beating Kaizer Chiefs 5-1 to attain an unassailable 62 points with six games to spare.

Lunga’s first title came in 2022 in his debut season.

The 28-year-old defender missed last year’s silverware as he was on loan at Golden Arrows for the whole season before he was brought back for the ongoing campaign.

Shock As ZCTU Defends Mnangagwa’s Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo Maxim

By A Correspondent

In a shocking turn of events, the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) found itself at the center of a heated debate following criticism directed at Gift Ostallos Siziba, an opposition figure, for his departure from the Workers Day commemorations held at Gwanzura Stadium.

Siziba’s decision to walk away during the chanting of Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo mantra on May Day at Gwanzura Stadium, has stirred controversy, prompting the ZCTU to issue a statement in defense of its stance.

In a statement titled “Setting the Record Straight,” ZCTU Secretary General Mr. Japhet Moyo addressed the circumstances surrounding Siziba’s departure, clarifying that Siziba had arrived late and requested a speaking slot on behalf of the CCC.

Moyo highlighted the disruption caused by Siziba’s departure during President Florence Mucha Taruvinga’s speech, emphasizing the importance of maintaining decorum at such events.

He refuted claims that Siziba left due to the use of the mantra “nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,” asserting its alignment with Zimbabwe’s inclusive vision.

The ZCTU Secretary General underscored the organization’s history of inviting political parties with parliamentary representation to its commemorations but clarified that no party was granted a speaking opportunity at the recent event.

Moyo concluded the statement by calling for respect for protocols and programs, urging all guests to adhere to established guidelines.

Japhet Moyo, ZCTU Secretary General claimed : “Mr. Siziba came to the stadium late and through his emissaries, asked for a slot to speak on behalf of CCC.”

“We expect decorum from our guests and they should respect our protocols and programmes.”

“This year we invited all political parties with parliamentary representatives and all of them were in attendance and we did not accord them an opportunity to speak that Mr. Siziba wanted, that is why he walked out.”

Coup Threats, Mnangagwa Cancels Two Events

By Political Correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa Thursday cancelled two events amid an unspecified “emergency”.

Mnangagwa Totally Captures ZCTU

Enforcement Of Motor Vehicle Radio Licences Unacceptable

Press Statement from cabinet does not carry force of law

3 May 2024

Following the recent Cabinet briefing, the Government has outlined the key points of a proposed bill aimed at revising regulations concerning the acquisition of vehicle licenses. The proposed changes suggest that owning a radio license would become a prerequisite for obtaining a vehicle license.

It is crucial to emphasize that the ongoing practice of the central government collecting road usage fees goes against the principles of decentralization as outlined in Chapter 14 of the constitution. Local authorities should be responsible for collecting road usage fees, which would then be used for maintaining local roads. On the other hand, the national government should collect toll fees for the upkeep of national highways and inter-district roads.

The Cabinet’s suggestion to mandate radio licenses for all other licenses is seen as exploitative and indicative of a government constantly seeking ways to extract money from its citizens. This move should be strongly opposed by all individuals.

Moreover, a press statement from the Cabinet does not carry the force of law. Individuals who enforce such statements, which are neither a Statutory Instrument nor an Act of Parliament, are acting unlawfully. Law-abiding citizens should not comply with such directives.

It’s important to note that these Cabinet proposals do not hold the status of law until they undergo public consultations as part of a bill, where the views of all citizens are considered. Subsequently, Parliament must deliberate on these proposals as a bill and either approve or reject them.

Until this procedural framework is followed, all law-abiding citizens are urged to report to the nearest police station anyone pressuring them to engage in an unlawful process.

Furthermore, the decision to set fees in United States Dollars rather than Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) suggests a lack of confidence by the government in its own currency.

Alarm As Reserve Bank Governor Announces ZIG To Purchase Petrol, Diesel

Products such as petrol and diesel will soon be sold in the recently introduced ZiG currency as transactions shift from being largely US dollar-denominated to local currency, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor Dr John Mushayavanhu has said.

In addition, the RBZ Governor warned the few companies that are not accepting the ZiG currency, that a time will come when they will need the local currency to settle their tax obligations.

This comes as the ZiG continues to inspire confidence across all markets as the legal tender of choice, following its introduction early last month, with notes and coins having started circulating on Tuesday.

In an interview after a closed-door meeting with Vice President Kembo Mohadi at his Munhumutapa Offices yesterday, Dr Mushayavanhu said as the year progresses, more products and services would be sold in the ZiG.

Thus, he cautioned businesses from selling exclusively in US dollars, as it would prove detrimental to their operations going forward.

“Currently, we are operating in an environment where 80 percent of the transactions are in US dollars and 20 percent in ZiG, so we are going to gradually allow a situation where we move from 80-20 to 70-30 to 60-40 to 50-50 as we go along and move towards 2030.

“As we do that more and more, products will be sold in the local currency, but beyond that, I want to say to those people refusing to sell their products in ZiG that they will find themselves in a situation where they will be hunting for this ZiG but will not be able to find them.

“If you recall Government said that in the June QPD (Quarterly Payment Date), they want 50 percent of taxesto be paid in ZiG so if you are a taxpayer and you are selling all your goods in US dollars, where are you going to get the ZiG to pay the tax? And when you then want to buy it from the market, it will be expensive,” he said.

“So, I am just warning them, if I were a fuel dealer I would sell some of my fuel in ZiG now so that I have enough money to pay tax when it falls due.”

Dr Mushayavanhu said the new currency had inspired confidence among Zimbabweans and business owners, especially following the introduction of notes and coins into the market.

“The new structured ZiG has been widely accepted by the market, if you recall on April 5, we had phase 1 of the introduction of ZiG, which involved the conversion of bank balances into ZiG, that was successfully done.

“We then moved to the second stage, which was educating the masses on the features of the ZiG notes and coins, and that went on until April 29. On April 30 we launched ZiG notes and coins, we introduced 1 ZiG, 2 ZiG, 5 ZiG in coins and 10 ZiG in notes and that has been widely accepted by the market. They are using it. That has alleviated the problem of change. We had situations where people were being told there is no change in a kombi but now, if you give them US$1, you get your 7 ZiG change, so we have solved the problem of change in the market,” he said.

Quizzed further on businesses selling products and services exclusively in US dollars, the Governor said it was “illegal”.

If business owners do not comply, he said, the Central Bank would move in to penalise them.

“Well, that is not allowed, that is illegal but we have also done our rounds, the majority of the retailers are selling in ZiG and US$ because we are in a multi-currency arrangement and we have also been monitoring the exchange rate that these retailers are using.

“Most are complying and those that are not complying have been cautioned by FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit) and, if they continue doing that, they stand to be fined or even have their accounts frozen,” he said.

Dr Mushayavanhu said the parallel market cannot sustain its operations as the ZiG was proving to be a strong and stable currency by the day.

“The black market will not come again because ZiG is a stable currency backed by gold, precious metals, and the foreign exchange balances that we have. For every ZiG that we have, there is an equivalent if not more cover in the form of reserves, so there is no reason why anyone would go and sell their ZiG and get a value which is less than the reserves that are backing that currency.

“If you do that you are just being cheated by these unscrupulous people,” he said.

VP Mohadi said he had directed the Governor to protect the currency’s stability as it would resultantly inspire confidence among Zimbabweans.

“So he was telling me that we seem to be on track, things are going smoothly and I was saying to him, let’s maintain that and guard against anything that is going to disrupt our currency.

“Let us speak good of our currency, let the people speak well about our currency, the party (Zanu PF) as well should also speak well about our currency. We should propagate that information to our people so that the people use our currency and then we develop a trust for our currency, that is what we were discussing,” he said.

VP Mohadi said Dr Mushayavanhu had apprised him well in terms of how the ZiG was performing since it was introduced.

“He came up with quite several measures, among them being the introduction of the ZiG, he was just briefing me on how far they have gone on the issue of the currency,” he said.

New RBZ Governor Under Fire Over “Never Seen Before” Policy Inconsistency

By A Correspondent| The new Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor Dr John Mushayavanhu could be cooking his sad story as the worst Central Bank chief as he keeps changing goal posts since his announcement that the country will use the ZiG currency.

Recently, he announced publicly that the bond notes will continue to work alongside the ZiG and this did not go down well with economic commentators who felt he is lacking consistency as a central bank boss.

Former Mt Pleasant legislator Fadzayi Mahere quizzed Mushayavanhu saying the law does not allow the continued use of Zim dollar with effect from 30 April.

“Does the Governor know that SI 60 of 2024 says the Zimbabwe Dollar expired on 30 April 2024? On what basis then does the Governor think he can change the law through a radio interview,” said Mahere.

Economist Professor Gift Mugano was even more brutal in his assessment of Mushayavanhu labelling him the worst central bank chief.

“In the history of the @ReserveBankZIM Governors, I have not seen/heard of confusion and policy inconsistency of this magnitude! Folks, when I say that ZiG will fail, you shout at me. So in all honesty, you really think that the ZiG will hold on and entrench itself as the currency of choice?,” said Mugano.

What Happens To Mr Strong ZiG Now That His Currency Has Collapsed?

Change is subtle; it  can happen just like the jokes we’re witnessed: Mnangagwa was removed. Mugabe was once said to have been sacked, then he was said to have resigned.

Chris Mutswangwa was once said to have been fired, but he was truly removed from the minister’s job; he was humiliated by ED and it was said: with “immediate effect!”

Today, he is left hanging onto the post of spokesperson. After that, Chris ran off to criticize ED and said that his name had been changed, he is now called: “Mr Strong ZiG.” What happens next now after the ZiG has collapsed?

Tsenengamu Returns To Mnangagwa Party

By A Correspondent

In what many have described as glaring inconsistency, Godfrey Tsenengamu has announced his decision to return to Zanu PF.

Tsenengamu, who at some point openly denounced Zanu PF and Emmerson Mnangagwa, released a statement on Wednesday indicating he was returning to the former revolutionary party.

See statement below :

COMRADES I AM BACK

On this day, Wednesday the 1st of May 2024, I would like to advise all concerned that after deep moments of introspection and reflection I am hereby rescinding my initial decision to quit politics as I further advise of my decision to retrace my steps back to ZANU-PF, the party I so much loved and served with my all for a solid 20 years until my expulsion in March 2020 which contribution and effort I have decided not to allow to go to waste because of bitterness, anger and frustration.

This announcement therefore marks the genesis of my journey to fully reconnect with the party. As such, I am not immediately proceeding to seek readmission as a member of the party as I am choosing to be a mere supporter of the party until such an ideal time when I will decide to apply for readmission as a member of the party.

As I do hereby join millions of other supporters of the Party, I fully commit to start doing everything permissible of a mere supporter of the party in furtherance of the ideals, values and principles of the Zimbabwean revolution as shall be guided by the leadership

I thank you.

Shooting for the Future: Science and Technology Transforming Basketball

Discover how technology is revolutionising basketball! Learn about using apps, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence to improve training, performance, and game analysis.

Basketball 4.0: Science and Technology Leading to Victory

Basketball is a dynamic and exciting sport in which talent, physical conditioning, and strategy are always present together, affecting the results of today’s games. However, a new element has entered the scene in recent years: technology. Follow livescores today to learn how technology impacts the game.

Beyond simply entertaining fans, technology is becoming essential to the success of teams and sportspeople. Let’s investigate how science and innovation are revolutionising the basketball world, from the training process to game analysis.

Training Enhanced by Technology

Technology offers tools that optimise player training, making it more personalised and efficient.

Monitoring apps: Specific apps allow for monitoring metrics such as heart rate, calorific expenditure, and muscle fatigue. With this data, the coaching staff and physical trainers can adjust training in real-time according to each athlete’s needs.

Virtual Reality: Virtual reality allows you to simulate real game situations, giving players the opportunity to practise rehearsed moves, split-second decision-making, and free throws under pressure.

Artificial Intelligence: AI is being used to analyse videos of matches and training sessions, identifying patterns in opponents’ behaviour and the team’s strengths and weaknesses and helping to create more assertive strategies.

Technology on the Court: Analysing the Game in Real Time

Technology is also present on the court, providing valuable data for players, coaching staff and even the public watching the match.

Tracking systems: High-definition cameras and specific software allow coaches to follow each player’s movement, measuring speed, distance travelled, and defensive efficiency. These details help coaches make more strategic substitutions, and broadcasters improve transmissions by providing accurate information.

Instant Replay and Electronic Refereeing: Instant replay and features such as the “hawk’s eye” for dubious moves guarantee greater fairness and transparency for the game.

A Smarter, More Exciting Sport

Technology is no substitute for athletes’ talent and dedication, but it is a powerful ally in the quest for victory. With the increasingly sophisticated use of technological tools, basketball is moving towards an even more strategic, precise, and exciting future. It doesn’t matter who played yesterday; what matters is the future and those who can understand its innovations.

Technology allows athletes to reach the peak of their performance, analysts to unravel complex tactics, and fans to get a thrill from even more spectacular plays.

Basketball 4.0 is already here, promising increasingly intelligent and competitive matches.

If you don’t like to watch basketball games, you can always follow yesterday soccer results or other sports results to stay in touch with some sports events because technology impacts not only basketball but most sports.

Rugare Gumbo Rejects Mnangagwa’s Offer

By Political Correspondent- One of the founding members of the ruling Zanu PF party and the last surviving Dare Rechimurenga, Rugare Gumbo, has turned down Emmerson Mnangagwa’s reconciliation offer.

Rugare Gumbo

Gumbo, a veteran figure within Zimbabwean politics, was expelled from the ruling party in 2014 in the initiation of a Mnangagwa faction.

This expulsion came as a result of machinations led by Mnangagwa’s faction, which falsely accused Gumbo of orchestrating a coup against the then-incumbent leader, Robert Mugabe.

Ironically, Mnangagwa would eventually rise to power in 2017, ousting Mugabe through a military intervention.

Despite Mnangagwa’s recent attempts at rapprochement, Gumbo has firmly rebuffed any notion of rejoining Zanu PF.

Moreover, he has publicly aired his disdain for Mnangagwa’s advances, underscoring his rejection in a widely circulated video on social media platforms.

Gumbo’s defiance carries added weight due to his seniority within the Zanu PF hierarchy.

As a founding member and a revered figure within the party, his refusal to entertain Mnangagwa’s proposals represents a significant humiliation for the current administration.

Mutoriro Is Not A Dangerous Drug At Law: Expert

By A Correspondent| Lawyers representing two suspected drug dealers have pushed for their acquittal after an expert witness stated during cross-examination that crystal meth or simply mutoriro they were allegedly caught with is not a dangerous drug at law.

The two Prince Samuriwo and Humphrey Banda from Mufakose are accused of dealing in dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of dangerous drugs involving 83 grams of crystal methamphetamine and their lawyers Admire Rubaya and Malvern Mapako have applied for their release on the grounds that what they are charged with is not recognised at law.

The lawyers said this in their application for discharge at the close of the State’s case.

In the application, the lawyers argued that there is no case against the two, as an expert witness from the Zimbabwe Republic Police Forensic Science Laboratory, Andre w Makaza conceded during cross-examination that mutoriro is not a listed drug.

The witness also stated that its chemical composition is different to methylenedioxymethamphetamine which the State said is related to crystal meth.

“It is apparent that there are concessions made to the effect that the State has no valid charge at law against the accused person.
“The concession that crystal methamphetamine is not listed as a dangerous drug in terms of the law is a major blow to the state case. This resolves the matter because there is no longer a dispute between the parties. It is apparent that the state has dismally failed to adduce evidence to support the alleged fact that crystal methamphetamine is a dangerous drug in terms of the law,” the lawyers said.

It is also their argument that a drug can only be classified as a dangerous drug only in terms of the law and not because of public outcry.

They argued that prosecuting their clients based on something outside the law is contrary to law and the constitutional command resulting in the violationof the accused’s constitutionally entrenched rights.

“The state alleges that crystal methamphetamine that the accused was allegedly found in possession of is a dangerous drug yet there is no such drug listed in the relevant schedule to the Dangerous Drugs Act.

“A drug does not become a dangerous drug simply because the general populace, the State and/or politicians want it to be treated as a dangerous drug whose alleged possession is punishable in terms of the criminal law.
“A drug can only be dangerous in terms of the law if it is one which fits into the definition of a dangerous drug in terms of the law,” Rubaya argued.

The lawyers further argued that the State has failed to prove beyond doubt that crystal methamphetamine or simply mutoriro is a dangerous drug with the evidence of their expert witness dealing the case a blow.

They said whatever the State alleges falls, as it is outside the law.

“The law is not what it ought to be, it is what it is. If the State cannot proffer evidence that crystal Methamphetamine is a dangerous drug in terms of the Dangerous Drugs Act then there is no offence created.

“It is submitted that if crystal meth is not a scheduled drug, then the alleged conduct forming the basis of the charge being preferred against the accused person is not recognised in our law as a crime. “Therefore, the Accused’s alleged conduct being allegedly found with sachets of crystal meth is not proscribed by the law in Zimbabwe,” the lawyers argued.

Zimbabwean Man Who Murdered Wife In Front Of Children Sentenced To Life In Prison

Obert Moyo (28/02/1978) of Pennington Road, Bolton was on Tuesday sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 27 years for murdering 35-year-old Perseverance Ncube.

Moyo was due to go on trial at Manchester Crown Court but changed his plea to guilty yesterday on the first day of the case.

Obert Moyo

At 2:39 am on Friday 10th November 2023 Perseverance, known as Percy, called emergency services reporting a man she knew was chasing her along Dukesgate Grove, and while on the line with the call handler, there were sounds of a disturbance before she collapsed in the street.

Within 11 minutes officers were first to arrive on scene and immediately began CPR. Percy was found unresponsive and taken to hospital, where she sadly died not long after arriving. A Home Office post-mortem confirmed Perseverance died as a result of a stab wound to her chest.

We now know the man responsible is Obert Moyo. He and Percy were in a relationship which recently ended before he murdered her.

Our investigation team followed Moyo’s movements in the evening. We obtained CCTV which captured the vicious attack witnessed by her children and collected forensic evidence tying Moyo to Percy’s murder. We found and arrested him later that morning in Bolton.

Detective Chief Inspector Gina Brennand said: “In the months leading up to Percy’s death, she was stalked by Obert Moyo. He spent hours outside her home, often in the early hours of the morning.

“Police were unaware Percy was being stalked, and she may have not known herself, but we know this to be true from examining CCTV and his immigration electronic monitoring tag. He was, in fact, an illegal immigrant, denied asylum and on prison licence following release from a 14-year sentence for a serious assault on a previous partner.

“Moyo is a dangerous and violent man and would not accept his relationship with Percy was over. He broke into her home while she and her children, aged just 10 and 12 at the time, slept and attacked Percy in her bedroom. Her children rushed to their mum’s aid and bravely dragged Moyo off her.

“Moyo chased after Percy into the street and showed no mercy as he stabbed her in front of her children.

“Until yesterday he denied murdering Percy and showed callous disregard to her family, whom he knew.

“Percy’s children have been unbelievably brave and are supported by a close and loving family. Percy was full of life, frequently described as lighting up a room and a treasured member of her church community.

“Today Moyo has been sentenced to life in prison, but Percy’s loss will always be felt by those who loved her.

“Stalking is an offence we treat extremely seriously, and it can often be a precursor to some of the most horrendous crimes, as in this case.

“We encourage anyone who believes they are being stalked to come forward so we can take proactive and robust action against suspects.

“I would also like to thank the whole team involved in securing today’s sentence.”

Mnangagwa Scared Of Workers Even On Their Important Day

The Zimbabwe Republic Police issued a ban on traditional public processions by workers, a key part of their annual rituals to mark Workers Day.

In a statement on the eve of Workers Day on Tuesday, police said workers should flock to different centres that were designated for the commemorations throughout the country without embarking on processions.

Reacting to the ban, Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) western region chairperson, Ambrose Sibindi said the union was disappointed by the police ban on a public ritual by workers.

“We are very disappointed because when we set up this programme, the idea was that we were supposed to have a procession from our office into town and this venue which we normally do every year.

“We got the shock of our lives when we were ready to start just before 8AM when an Inspector Nkomo from the police headquarters here in Bulawayo informed me that the procession had been banned nationally.

“That is the reason we did not have a procession today (Monday).

“We were told that we must just come here. We phoned our head office who also revealed that they faced the same problem.

“As workers, we totally condemn such behaviour from our police.

“This is Worker`s Day and we believe that are supposed to enjoy our day but that is beside the point; it will not stop us from enjoying our day,” he said.

Sibindi, in his address, bemoaned the closure of industries in Bulawayo and reduction in capacity utilisation in most industries which he said has affected workers in Bulawayo.

The commemorations are being held under the theme: Workers demand an inclusive Zimbabwe free from poverty, corruption and oppression, arise workers arise.

Former ZCTU Boss Endorses Chamisa’s Workers Day Pledge

By A Correspondent| Former Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) President Peter Mutasa has praised opposition leader Nelson Chamisa’s Workers Day message saying should he follow through and deal with the five issues he raised, his government will earn the respect of Workers.

Posting on X, Mutasa said;

“Workers day message from President Chamisa If he deals with the 5 issues he raises then his government will be respected by workers 1) Decent work2) Collective bargaining for civil servants 3) Primacy of TNF4) Decent minimum wage5) Freedoms.”

Chamisa Makes A Promise To Workers Of Zimbabwe

Former leader of the Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC), Nelson Chamisa has said a nation’s dignity lies in the dignity of its working people, who serve as its heroes.

Despite not revealing his next political steps since leaving the CCC in January this year, Chamisa assured Zimbabwean workers that change is imminent.

In a statement commemorating the 2024 Workers’ Day on this Wednesday, May 1st, Chamisa highlighted the harsh reality: over 80% of the working population in Zimbabwe remains unemployed. He said:

Strikingly, 3.5 million youths are unemployed while 7.9 million people live in extreme poverty. The majority live below the poverty datum line of US$575, while average wages at US$275 fall short of meeting basic needs.

Punitive tax thresholds, starting at US$100, leave little to support families, where a basket of basic goods is six times higher than the minimum wage.

Every worker deserves to thrive in an inclusive Zimbabwe where everyone has access to fair and dignified employment opportunities and a balanced work environment.

Chamisa asserted that if elected, his government will ensure that the Tripartite Negotiating Forum (TNF) will be the prime policy formulation platform and that no public policy will be implemented without passing through the TNF.

The TNF is a social dialogue platform that was established to facilitate consultation, cooperation, and negotiation on social and economic issues among three key partners: Government, organised business, and organised labour. Said Chamisa:

We will immediately grant public sector workers the right to collective bargaining by ratifying and domesticating ILO Convention 151.

We will re-establish a living minimum wage through social dialogue. We will allow workers to demonstrate and demand their rights.

The idea of an inclusive Zimbabwe free from poverty, corruption and oppression is the aspiration of all the citizens of Zimbabwe.

In a Zimbabwe free from poverty, corruption and oppression, the fruits of labour shall translate into economic progress for all.

Every family shall have the chance to prosper, and the benefits of hard work shall enrich the entire nation.

In a corruption-free Zimbabwe, the fruits of labour will fuel economic progress and boost economic prosperity, benefiting all families.

Workers deserve the freedom to freely choose a government that serves them, making the resolution of the August 2023 disputed elections a crucial step towards recognizing workers’ rights.

Chamisa said the current ZANU PF-led government is unelected, therefore illegitimate and incapable of responding effectively to workers’ demands.

He said there is a need to collectively resolve the “broken politics, disputed elections and contested presidential office.”

Biti’s Masvingo Mayor Collen Maboke Accused of Murder

Tendai Biti’s Masvingo Mayor Collen Maboke Accused of Attempted Murder by ZANU PF Youth Chairperson

Masvingo, Zimbabwe— In a dramatic turn of events, ZANU PF Masvingo Provincial Youth chairperson Delight Mandebvu, currently facing legal issues himself, has accused Masvingo Mayor Collen Maboke, associated with Tendai Biti, of attempted murder. The accusation came to light after Mandebvu was involved in an automobile incident with Maboke’s vehicle on March 3, 2024, along the Masvingo-Mutare Highway.

The Accuser

Mandebvu, who is dealing with three counts of assault and a charge of negligent driving from a separate incident, reported the attempted murder allegation against Mayor Maboke only after receiving a court summons for his assault charges. According to Mandebvu, the conflict arose when their vehicles side-swiped approximately 50km from Masvingo. He alleges that Maboke, after an ensuing altercation, tried to run him over, resulting in a broken leg.

The Masvingo Police Spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, the Mirror reports, has stated that he is currently reviewing the details of the report. Police were initially hesitant to file the attempted murder charge, which was only accepted after the intervention of the Law and Order Section.

This case gains complexity as Mandebvu was reportedly pursuing Maboke’s vehicle, driven by Maboke’s wife Tariro, when the side-swipe occurred. Mandebvu allegedly assaulted Maboke, his wife, and a relative after forcing their vehicle to stop. During the altercation, Mandebvu was struck by another vehicle, resulting in his injuries.

Mandebvu, who has a history of legal challenges including accusations of stock theft and disorderly conduct, now finds his credibility under scrutiny. This incident adds to a series of controversial interactions involving ZANU PF officials, where accusations and legal actions often intertwine with political tensions.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission has noted an alarming trend in such cases, particularly highlighting issues at the Gutu Police Station, where complainants against ZANU PF are frequently arrested and turned into accused.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the community watches closely, given the high-profile nature of the accusations and the individuals involved. The case is set to be heard in court next Wednesday, promising further developments in this contentious matter.

Redcliff Municipality Achieves Historic 50/50 Gender Parity in Recent Election

Redcliff, Zimbabwe— In a landmark achievement for gender equality, Redcliff Municipality has reached a 50/50 gender parity following the election and subsequent swearing-in of Councillor Christine Sigauke. This marks the municipality as the first local authority under the Second Republic, led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, to achieve such parity.

The recent elections brought six female councillors to office, aligning with six male colleagues to fulfill the government’s vision of gender balance in local governance. This balance has been bolstered by the Second Republic’s policy initiative that mandates at least 30 percent female representation in local authorities.

Councillor Sigauke’s victory in the Ward 3 by-election on April 6 was pivotal in achieving this milestone. She triumphed over opposition candidate Tinei Siziba, representing the ruling Zanu-PF party. The seat was previously held by Mayor Clayton Masiyatsva, who passed away in January due to illness.

Alongside Sigauke’s election, Redcliff’s government saw other significant appointments, including Alderman Vincent Masiiwa stepping in as mayor and Councillor Fortunate Makawa being named deputy mayor.

Kwekwe District Development Coordinator, Mr. Fortune Mpungu, lauded this achievement, emphasizing its significance for the district and the broader agenda of women’s empowerment. “Redcliff Municipality has set a precedent, not only in Zimbabwe but potentially in the region, by actualizing the envisioned gender parity,” stated Mr. Mpungu.

Mr. Mpungu also used this occasion to remind the new councillors of their responsibilities towards good governance and the aspirations of the Redcliff community. He expressed hopes for the municipality to advance towards achieving city status by 2030, underlining the necessity for all councillors to actively engage and deliver on public expectations of improved infrastructure and services.

The success of Redcliff Municipality in achieving gender parity is seen as a critical step forward in enhancing women’s participation in governance and decision-making processes across Zimbabwe, providing a model for other local authorities to follow.- ZIANA

Sikhala Dismisses Zanu PF, CCC Dialogue

Tinashe Sambiri

Former Member of Parliament for St. Mary’s Constituency, Honorable Job Sikhala, has vehemently rejected the purported negotiations between Zanu PF and the Sengezo Tshabangu-led CCC (Citizens Coalition for Change).

Since the resignation of CCC founding President Nelson Chamisa earlier this year, citing extensive infiltration by Zanu PF operatives, there have been speculations of the party’s alignment with the ruling regime.

In a resolute statement on Monday, Sikhala asserted:

“Musada kutamba nenyika seizvi.

Hazvisi right. People are closely monitoring this kind of madness. It is not right.”

Sikhala’s words reflect the deep concern among opposition supporters regarding the alleged collaboration between CCC and Zanu PF.

He emphasized the gravity of the situation, urging against complacency in the face of what he perceives as a threat to the nation’s democratic integrity.

The outspoken stance taken by Sikhala underscores the commitment of opposition figures to uphold democratic principles and resist any attempts to compromise the independence of political entities in Zimbabwe.

His warning serves as a rallying cry for those who advocate for transparency, accountability, and genuine democratic processes in the country.

South African Citizen Mocks ZiG

By A Correspondent

South African citizen Betty Ledwaba has ridiculed Zimbabwe’s newly introduced currency, comparing its appearance to soccer tickets.

Taking to Facebook yesterday, Ledwaba remarked, “It doesn’t look like money, it looks more like the ticket I got from Computicket during a soccer festival.

Zimbabweans won’t go back home for this thing that doesn’t look like money, only ZAR makes sense to them.”

Commenting on the situation, Amociano ZA remarked, “Let’s hope it won’t Zig Zag like others.”

Zimbabwe has launched the ZiG currency in an effort to combat inflation.

Number 7 Jersey Haunts Bayern Munich

Sports Correspondent

In the illustrious history of football, certain numbers carry an almost mythical significance, embodying the spirit of greatness and legacy.

Among them, the number 7 stands tall, casting its shadow across generations and continents. And in the hallowed grounds of Bayern Munich, this number has repeatedly woven tales of triumph and despair.

The latest chapter in this saga unfolded on a tense night in Munich, as Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, clad in the iconic number 7 jersey, etched his name into the annals of football history.

With seven minutes remaining in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg, the Brazilian dynamo seized the moment, delivering an electrifying equalizer that reverberated through the Allianz Arena.

But this narrative of the number 7 at Bayern Munich transcends individual moments; it is a story of lineage and destiny.

From Cristiano Ronaldo’s memorable exploits to Vinicius Junior’s timely intervention, the jersey has been a conduit for magic and mayhem in equal measure.

For Bayern Munich faithful, the sight of the number 7 evokes memories of both triumph and heartache.

It symbolizes the relentless pursuit of excellence, the unyielding spirit that defines the club’s ethos. Yet, it also serves as a reminder of past battles lost and adversaries conquered.

In the realm of football folklore, certain numbers become imbued with a significance that transcends their numerical value.

The number 7, with its aura of mystique and reverence, holds a special place in this pantheon.

And in Munich, where history is written with every pass and every goal, its presence is felt more keenly than ever.

As the Champions League saga unfolds, and the battle for supremacy reaches its crescendo, one thing remains certain: the number 7 will continue to haunt Bayern Munich, its legacy enduring long after the final whistle has blown.

For in the theater of dreams, where legends are born and destinies collide, some numbers are more than just numbers—they are symbols of greatness, forever etched in the fabric of time.

Nelson Chamisa Message To Workers

Source : Nelson Chamisa

TODAY IS WORKERS DAY.. Saluting all the working men and women who toil for the betterment of our beautiful Zimbabwe. You are the living heroes of this great nation.

Workers define the collective destiny of a nation. The dignity of any country is in the dignity of its working people.

The reality is harsh:
we commemorate the workers day when over 80% of the working population is unemployed.

In a New Great Zimbabwe;
1) Our Citizens government will put decent work agenda at the heart of our labour market policies.

2) We will elevate the TNF from the current talk show status to the prime policy formulation platform. No public policy will be implemented without passing through the TNF.

3) We will immediately grant public sector workers right to collective bargaining by ratifying and domesticating ILO Convention 151.
3) We will reestablish a living minimum wage through social dialogue.
4)We will allow workers to demonstrate and demand their rights.

Workers deserve the freedom to freely choose a government that serves them, making the resolution of August 2023 disputed elections a crucial step towards recognizing workers’ rights.

Collectively, we must resolve the broken politics, disputed elections and contested presidential office. An unelected government is unable and incapable of responding effectively to workers demands. For this reason, an unelected and illegitimate administration is indeed a burden on the nation, particularly the workers.

We must all be committed to resolving the political crisis and strive towards a new inclusive Zimbabwe where the dreams and aspirations of every working person can be realized.

The aspirations of every hardworking individual align with the vision of a great, working and prosperous Zimbabwe.

I have good news for you all the Workers of Zimbabwe – CHANGE is COMING! We are doing everything within our power to make this a reality with immediacy and urgency. We will fix the broken! #LaborDay2024 #Godisinit #ForEveryone

Zimbabwe is now a full blown kleptocracy

By Diana Machingauta| A few weeks ago, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe introduced a new currency called the ZiG which it claimed was going to be more stable than the previous currency which had gone through over 2000% inflation, the highest in the world. The new RBZ governor, the president and numerous other mouthpieces of the Zanu PF regime continue to parrot the line this ZiG currency was going to be stable because it is backed by Zimbabwe’s gold reserves.

But how much gold reserves are there and can we even trust this lot when it comes to gold? Do they really expect us to forget that not long ago a documentary on Al Jazeera showed that gold is being looted from the country with impunity? Zimbabweans are being expected to be reassured that the new currency is backed by the most precarious asset in the country. The mind boggles.

I think we are at a point where the regime actually doesn’t care about what we think. Most of what they say or do is egregious. They don’t care because they are in cruise control. They have pretty much eliminated the opposition. They are not hiding who they are. Convicted fraudsters who moonlight as runners for the regime are no longer lurking in the shadows – they are now being paraded next to the president, on trips across the country and to eminent African leaders.

There is no doubt, that Zimbabwe is now a full blown kleptocracy.

How to Start a Farming Business

The attraction of living on a farm with colorful fields and the joy of growing your own food is unquestionable. However, for hopeful farmers, venturing into farming necessitates meticulous planning and a thorough comprehension of the challenges at hand. This detailed guide explores the necessary information and factors to consider prior to starting your agricultural adventure. And while at it, don’t forget to explore some fun activities for a better, healthier you.

Things You Should Consider Before Starting Business Farming

Cost

To begin your farming journey, you must create a financial plan with enough funds. The type and scale of farming you can manage will be determined by the budget. The money you invest will cover all necessary expenses until you achieve your initial crop yield. Costs of inputs can vary, such as obtaining seeds, fertilizer, irrigation, labor, and harvesting, among other possibilities. Use various funding options, like bank loans and personal savings. Don’t forget to create a detailed strategy to prevent incurring losses that could lead to financial difficulties.

Climatic conditions

Before embarking on agriculture, it is essential to have a good grasp of the climate. Get to know the terrain and the local weather conditions. The weather conditions determine what you can grow and how it will impact you and your business. Various crops flourish in various climates, and selecting the incorrect crop for the conditions will result in failure.

After becoming acquainted with the weather patterns in your region, engage in conversation with neighboring farmers, assess their plots in comparison to yours, and glean insights from their experiences.

Quality of the soil

As it is common knowledge, various regions consist of varying soil types. To determine the most suitable crop to plant on your piece of land, conduct soil tests in a lab to assess its quality, type, pH level, and salinity. This will determine if the soil is suitable for successful crop growth. In many cases, you may need to choose between cultivating crops suited to your land or finding a new plot of land. Don’t forget to consult with neighboring farm owners for detailed advice when making decisions.

Government Policies

When searching for the ideal location to kickstart your agricultural venture, remember to consider government regulations. Some government policies can assist in the cultivation of crops in areas with beneficial tax systems and access to free fertilizers. The government extensively supports agriculture because people in a country will go hungry without it. Thus, they enforce specific regulations that benefit farmers.

Infrastructure

Good infrastructure, such as roads, electricity, water, and healthcare facilities, is essential for the growth of the farming industry. This will prevent you from struggling to determine how to transport your crops to market or your animals to the veterinarian. Hence, when looking for an ideal location to begin farming, one must take into account the infrastructure to ensure efficient operations.

Time

Farming requires a substantial investment of time. Seasons determine the amount of work needed, with planting and harvesting seasons demanding extensive hours of concentrated work. Efficient time management ensures smooth operation of your business.

Creating a timetable that includes planting cycles, maintenance duties, marketing tasks, and record-keeping helps prevent any oversights. Think about using farm management software or mobile applications to make tasks more efficient and maximize your time.

Market

Not everything that grows can be sold. Extensive market research is crucial for achieving long-term success. Crucial is understanding the need for particular crops or livestock in your area. Study consumer patterns and pinpoint possible specialized markets. Take into account elements such as fresh produce grown naturally, products sourced nearby, and unique animal breeds.

Forming relationships with distributors and wholesalers can assist in understanding the intricacies of the market. Becoming a member of a nearby farming cooperative can offer important perspectives and strength in negotiating as a group. Having a grasp of pricing strategies and marketing techniques helps in getting your products to consumers at a competitive price level.

Tips for Success

Invest in Technology

Modern agriculture flourishes by adopting technology. Make use of data-driven precision agriculture to enhance crop yields, purchase efficient machinery to streamline operations, and remain curious about new innovations.

This technology-focused method enables you to make educated choices, operate more efficiently, and ultimately establish a more efficient and long-lasting farm.

Diversify Your Income Streams

Do not concentrate all your resources in one place! Though it’s vital to focus on main crops, it’s also wise to supplement your earnings with value-added goods such as jams or artisan cheeses, engaging guests through agritourism ventures, or vending directly to customers at local markets. This multifaceted strategy establishes a financial safety net, mitigates market volatility, and opens up opportunities to reach new customers.

Network and Learn from Others

Farming success hinges on a strong support network. Joining a local farmers’ cooperative offers a wealth of benefits, from shared knowledge and cost-saving bulk purchases to joint marketing and advocacy efforts. Look beyond cooperatives too; tap into agricultural extension services, online communities, and local farmer relationships for continuous learning and collaboration. Remember, the strength of the agricultural community is the strength of each individual farmer.

In conclusion, embarking on a farming journey requires a blend of passion, practicality, and perseverance. As you take those initial steps, remember to define your goals, assess your available resources, and conduct thorough market research. Choose a niche that aligns with your vision and consumer demand. Embrace technology, learn from experienced farmers, and stay adaptable. Whether you are cultivating crops, raising livestock, or exploring sustainable practices, your journey as a farmer begins with thoughtful planning and a commitment to nurturing the land.

Bestie Betrays Mai TT, Fumes Over Expose’

By Showbiz Reporter- Social media celebrity Felistas Murata, known as Mai TT, has claimed that her best friend, Patricia Jack, leaked the nudes of her daughter.

This was exposed by a local tabloid, which wrote in its editorial saying Jack was threatening them for penning her name in the Fifi nudes story.

Here is what H-Metro revealed:

SOCIAL media character, Patricia Jack, has decided to threaten us because she is unhappy with an article we carried a few weeks ago.

She issued her threats to our senior journalist, Arron Nyamayaro, whom she is accusing of dragging her name into the storm, which erupted after the publication of Mai TT daughter’s nude photographs.

Patricia said Nyamayaro, and this publication, will know she is well connected to high-profile people in this country, who will fight on her behalf.

She also promised to post messages on her social media handles attacking Nyamayaro, in particular, and H-Metro, in general.

According to her message, she has has four prominent lawyers, who have volunteered to provide her with free legal service in the event what she has planned to do with us, using her high-profiile connections, fails.

She wrote a lengthy message to Nyamayaro which, in part, reads:

“I have four lawyers, big lawyers who want to do my story for free watch the space.

“The world is watching H-Metro and Felistas miraka uone.

“And, remember I know how you work namai TT, I’m hundred percent you were behind this and I will never stop to expose you guys.

“I know and you know it zvandinazvo zvihombe muchadonha henyu.”

Patricia is not happy that, in one of our articles, we mentioned her name in the saga related to the nude images of Mai TT’s daughter Fifi.

We don’t understand what Patricia means when she claims that we are responsible for dragging her name into the controversy.

We simply picked her name in the court papers, which were filed by Mai TT, and we have a responsibility to keep our readers informed of what is happening at the courts.

Once something is in court papers, we can report about it and once her name was mentioned by Mai TT, we just reported what was in those public documents.

If she has a problem, then she should direct her threats to Mai TT, who mentioned her name in those court documents, and not to us.

We have absolutely no problem with Patricia Jack and we didn’t know of any of her connection to this saga until her name appeared in the court papers.

We didn’t reach a conclusion that she is reponsibile or guilty of leaking the nude images.

We simply reported what was in the court papers.

Mai TT also claimed, in the same court papers, that Patricia allegedly attempted to extort her, demanding that she pays US$5 000, to ensure that the images were not splashed online.

If Mai TT had made the same claim, outside the court process, we would certainly not have carried the story, and her claims, without getting Patricia’s side of the story.

We are used to being threatened, almost every day, by people who are not happy with the type of stories that we cover.

We understand their reaction but we have told ourselves that these threats will not deter us from doing our job.

Vinicius Junior Rescues Los Blancos

Vinicius Junior scored a late penalty to earn Real Madrid a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at Bayern Munich.

The Brazilian forward gave the visitors the lead against the run of play in the first half after Bayern had dominated the opening 20 minutes, with Leroy Sane denied inside 60 seconds by goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

But Sane sparked the hosts into life early in the second half, beating Lunin at his near post with a piledriver before Harry Kane slotted home from the penalty spot to complete the four-minute turnaround.

Bayern controlled the game from then on yet squandered their lead with seven minutes left when Min-Jae Kim brought down Rodrygo in the box and Vinicius sent Manuel Neuer the wrong way to leave the tie all square.

Power of Plant Life

By A Correspondent

As South Africa commemorates the 30th anniversary of its historic first democratic election, the nation reflects on the hard-fought battles for freedom and equality.

Yet, amidst the celebrations, a poignant reminder emerges from Tshikovha Green and Climate Change Advocates Pty Ltd, urging not just South Africa but the entire Southern African Development Community (SADC) region to embrace plant life for sustainability.

In a statement delivered over the weekend, Mr. Moudy Mudzielwana, the director of Tshikovha Green, emphasized the symbiotic relationship between freedom and the environment.

“Our freedom will be incomplete without plants,” declared Mudzielwana, echoing the sentiment that true liberation encompasses not just human rights but also environmental stewardship.

As South Africans celebrate Freedom Day on April 27th, commemorating the end of apartheid and the dawn of democracy, Tshikovha Green’s message resonates deeply.

The historic election of 1994 marked a pivotal moment when millions of Black South Africans reclaimed their right to determine their own destinies. It was a triumph of democracy over oppression, a victory for justice and equality.

However, as the nation looks back on its journey to freedom, Tshikovha Green reminds us that true sustainability requires holistic thinking.

Just as the struggle for freedom was multifaceted, so too must be our approach to environmental conservation.

The call to embrace plant life is not merely an ecological imperative but an ethical one—a recognition of our interconnectedness with the natural world.

In advocating for the embrace of plant life, Tshikovha Green underscores the vital role of vegetation in mitigating climate change, preserving biodiversity, and ensuring food security.

Trees, grasses, and other flora are not just passive bystanders in the fight against environmental degradation; they are active agents of regeneration and renewal.

Moreover, Tshikovha Green’s message extends beyond the borders of South Africa, encompassing the entire SADC region.

Climate change knows no boundaries, and its impacts are felt indiscriminately across nations.

Therefore, collective action and cooperation are essential in addressing the ecological challenges facing Southern Africa.

As the world grapples with the urgent need for environmental action, Tshikovha Green’s call on Freedom Day serves as a timely reminder of the intertwined nature of freedom and sustainability.

Just as the struggle for freedom required solidarity and resilience, so too does the fight for a greener, more equitable future.

In embracing plant life, we not only honor our past but also pave the way for a brighter tomorrow—a tomorrow where freedom and sustainability go hand in hand, where the flourishing of humanity is inseparable from the flourishing of the natural world.

As South Africa celebrates its hard-won freedoms, may we also recommit ourselves to protecting the precious ecosystems that sustain us all.
