Mnangagwa Implicated In Land Corruption

By- President Emerson Mnangagwa has been implicated in the illegal parcelling of housing stands.

NewZimbabwe.com reports that the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) was investigating a case in which Manyame Rural District Council (RDC) leaders alleged that Mnangagwa gave them the authority to sell land to desperate home seekers.

Some of the named politicians, who include a Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) councillor, are said to be claiming that their actions have been sanctioned by the Central lntelligence Organisation (CIO).

Mnangagwa is said to be desperately trying to distance himself from the mess and has since instructed the President’s office to investigate and arrest those tarnishing his name.

Officials from the ministry of local government have also been sucked into the shady land deal.

Some of the leaders who are allegedly involved in the land grabbing scandal include Nelson Bhobho, Tawanda Bhobho, Courage Gondokondo, CCC councillor Tichaona Munhunepi, Zanu PF vice chairman for Mashonaland East province Neffery Mutizira, Brighton Garwa among other youths making up the “cartel.”

Manyame RDC chief executive officer (CEO), Farirayi Guta, is reportedly preparing a consolidated report on the land invasions and preparing a list of key people involved.

RDC planner, Murepa, confirmed the investigation but directed all questions to Guta, whom he said he had given all the information.

“l have given all the necessary information regarding this issue to the CEO. You can contact her for any information regarding that,” said Murepa.

The culprits are grabbing lands in areas like Murisa Rural Service Centre, Kuora Village and Chinhanga Village.

In Chinhanga Village, party youths allegedly pegged residential stands in the dead of the night on May 28, 2022, the same day that Mash East youth leaders and Seke District DCC also invaded land in Kuora Village.

Guta’s phone went unanswered after several attempts to get hold of her.

A Chief Security Officer (CSO), Kavhai, said he was busy at some council function and was not able to give a comment.

Kavhai was also reportedly tasked by the CEO to investigate and provide a detailed report on the invasions.

Death Threats Against VP Chiwenga At Heroes Acre

By A Correspondent | ANALYSIS | The silent war between Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga has picked volume with the former’s supporters loudly denouncing the man’s deputy at the funeral of Chiwenga’s secretary, in what has worsened rumours suggesting Godfrey Chanakira was murdered.

The usual funeral songs are always respectful and spiritual. But a different kind of melody is being sung. Instead of a dirge, it’s an abusive war cry, as ZimEye reveals.

THE LYRICS OF THE SONG DENOUNCING VP CHIWENGA AT OWN SECRETARY’S FUNERAL WERE AS FOLLOWS:

“Hondo hatidi hondo.
Vaudzei vavhotere paMasvingo [Mnangagwa], hondo hatidi”
(meaning to avoid war, vote for Mnangagwa). https://t.co/ZEGLAO5Lz7

The person leading the singing was Mnangagwa frontman, Taurai Kandishaya.

Traditionally Masvingo is Mnangagwa’s other name, as his presidency is known as a Masvingo one (even though he comes from Zvishavane). This is despite the fact of Masvingo ruins being the ZANU PF emblem.

The Nov 2017 coup that removed the late president Robert Mugabe, is known as a rebellion of the Masvingo Province against the Zezuru tribe. Mangagwa’s deputy Constantino Chiwenga comes from the Zezuru grouping, and the ongoing loud singing at the burial of Chiwenga’s personal secretary is a political slap in the face, at a time when calls have grown louder to replace Mnangagwa with Chiwenga.

Mnangagwa’s family has traditional roots in Masvingo and his uncle, Ephias Munodawafa is holds ancestral Kingship over a large area in the province.

Chiwenga’s secretary Gen Godfrey Chanakira died last week and he was denied national hero status, only to be granted following internal party protestations.- ZimEye

Salah Speaks On Champions League Defeat

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has broken silence on the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in Paris last week.

All eyes were on the Egyptian winger at the Stade de France after he had claimed Jurgen Klopp’s men wanted ‘revenge’, following their defeat to Los Blancos in the 2018 final in Kiev.

Despite Liverpool having more chances to score, it was Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, whose solitary goal just before the hour mark decided the game and Salah admitted the result hurt them.

“I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end, we couldn’t. I cannot thank the fans enough for your support. It has been a very long season but a part of me wishes the next one starts again tomorrow,” he wrote on microblogging site Twitter.

Salah’s comments before the game have come under scrutiny from France and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who reckons the former Roma man should have done the talking on the pitch instead.

“I always say something: don’t talk before a final. When you speak before a final, you have to win it,” Henry said on BT Sport.- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Sekuru Banda Weighs In On Toe-Selling Business

By A Correspondent| Popular Harare traditional healer, Sekuru Banda has weighed in on the trending issue alleging that Zimbabweans are selling their toes in return for large amounts of money.

Sekuru Banda discouraged Zimbabweans against seeking short-cut routes to richness which he said will always backfire later.

Since last week, social media has been awash with claims that some Zimbabwean men especially those based along Angwa Street, previously known as Ximex Mall were buying top of the range cars after trading their toes.

In an interview with ZimEye, Sekuru Banda discouraged young people against trading their body parts for money.

“I am a traditional healer and perhaps the most qualified person to speak on this issue, it is indeed happening and very worrying because as much as it brings immediate riches, it will definitely backfire.

“I would like to encourage our youths to work hard, things are hard at the moment but there is no shorter route to success, it comes at a price,” said Sekuru Banda.

He appealed to government to put in place laws that promote human dignity while punishing those involved in such trades.

Sekuru Banda added that the issue was painting a wrong picture about Zimbabwe citing a story that appeared on BBC news early this week as an example of how the issue has escalated and tarnishing the image of the country.

This issue is painting a very sad picture about Zimbabwe, the dignity of Zimbabweans has gone down the drain, maybe when we go out, people will label us those who sold their toes for money, what a shame,” fumed Sekuru Banda.

Fight For Your Future And Your Children’s… CCC Implores Young People

Tinashe Sambiri| Citizens’ Coalition for Change Namibia has urged young people to fight for a bright future by registering to vote.

In a statement on Wednesday, CCC Namibia challenged young people to support President Nelson Chamisa’s New Great Zimbabwe vision.

Read full statement below:

Those who did not fight the liberation struggle should vote for the young leadership”, new Slogan has gone viral.

01 June 2022

The vigorous slogan has become viral! There are goons in the politically inept ZanuPF government and party who claim to have ownership of the motherland because they went to war. It is quite ironic that those who went to war are fewer than those who did not fight the liberation struggle. If we go by their philosophy, they will obviously lose the elections before the polls commence.

The most active generation are the unemployed youths in Zimbabwe. The youths constitute more than 50% of the population plus those graduands in their 40s and 50s, it will be a disaster for our ZanuPF opponents.

Change champions are very fortunate that they are automatically going to be joined by some veterans of the liberation struggle who were frustrated by ZanuPF’s perennial failure to revamp the economy. It is now our revolutionary obligation to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of the liberation struggle led by none other than the organic, pragmatic and vibrant President Advocate Nelson Chamisa. We urge all Zimbabweans to register to vote for the Yellow Revolution in 2023. Lets all vote for a leadership with full capacity to put the economy on a sounder footing.

It is now imperative to vote for those who did not go to war since ZanuPF has betrayed everyone because of its corruption and gross misgovernance. Crackdown on voices of dissent through arbitrary arrests, long pre-trial detentions, forced disappearances of change champions, senseless and barefaced corruption, abuse of journalists and human rights defenders are signs of a government’s dismal failure to govern.

Furthermore, today we have reached 7 days after Moreblessing Ali, our change champion was severely beaten and bundled into car of the Chisango boys with a well known ZanuPF leadership in Nyatsime. The perpetrator who is in hiding was identified as Pius Jambo, we demand the immediate release of our champion, Moreblessing Ali.

ZanuPF must respect the sanctity of life, we urge the architects of politically motivated abductions and state sponsored forced disappearances to halt forthwith. All these are reasons why those who went to war are going to be humiliated by the Change Champions in 2023.

Our people are tired of unemployment and poverty in the motherland and the diaspora. We demand considerable respect to the voice of the people through their votes. People’s votes should count, we castigate rigging and we demand justice to the people’s will. As we embrace the slogan encouraging those who went to war to vote each other, I absolutely doubt that they will reach 1/4 of the population in the motherland. It was a generational consensus and it shall remain one until President Advocate Nelson Chamisa is given his chance in 2023 to lead us into Canaan.

In a nutshell, ‘vakaenda kuhondo vakavhoterana Mukomana Anopinda zvakanakisa”. We encourage people to register to vote in their astronomical numbers for a resounding victory in 2023. Polling agents at every polling station, well trained and fully equipped with alternative communication. All V11s are needed from our agents undiluted. We should avert disputed elections without enough evidence and numbers should not allow ZanuPF to have hope in any elections.

Prof Moyo Blows Whistle On VP Appointment

By A Correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa is reportedly set to appoint Zimbabwe Defence Forces commander General Philip Valerio Sibanda as his second vice president.

This claim was made on Thursday by self-exiled former Information minister Jonathan Moyo.

Mnangagwa’s second VP, Kembo Mohadi resigned in March last year following a sex scandal.

Moyo also claimed that Air Marshal Elson Moyo, the Air Force of Zimbabwe commander, would succeed Sibanda.

He tweeted on Thursday:

In what will be a double whammy to his political detractors in & outside ZanuPF ahead of the party’s 2022 Congress & the 2023 polls, @edmnangagwa is set to appoint CDF Philip V Sibanda as State VP, to replace Mohadi & will replace Sibanda with Air Marshal Elson Moyo, as CDF!

General Sibanda’s appointment as State Vice President is imminent. Preparations to setup his VP office, including staff recruitment, are already underway. Sibanda’s appointment as State VP will endanger Mohadi’s position as one of the two VPs and Second Secretaries of ZanuPF!

Moyo’s claims could not be independently verified, but it is believed he maintains contacts with senior ZANU PF officials and some elements in the military.

Mnangagwa’s spokesman George Charamba last week said the ZANU PF leader would not be stampeded into announcing Mohadi’s successor.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda recently called upon the president to appoint a second VP who has traditionally been appointed on the basis that they are former members of ZAPU as per the terms of a 1987 ‘unity accord’ between ZANU and ZAPU.

Sibanda fought in the 1970s war of independence on the side of ZIPRA, whose political arm, ZAPU, has held one of the two vice president positions since 1990.

If Moyo’s predictions are accurate, Mnangagwa would have a vice president and ZDF commander all hailing from Mberengwa – his home district.

ZRP Investigates Human Body Parts Trafficking

By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has said the force is investigating possible trafficking of human body parts, following reports that people are selling their toes in exchange for riches to people who use them for ritual purposes.

There have been reports on social media suggesting that some members of the public were selling their toes in exchange for cars such as Toyota Hilux GD6s.

Unverified screenshots spreading around on WhatsApp, Twitter, and Facebook suggest that some sell their toes for as much as US$40 000 for the big toe, US$25 000 for the middle toe and US$10 000 for the tiny toe.

Bongani Ndlovu, a Zimpapers reporter cites police national spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi as saying investigations were already underway. Nyathi said:

Police are conducting investigations and we shall issue a comprehensive report in due course. The public must do things according to the laws of the country, especially when it comes to human body parts. That is why we are saying as the police we are monitoring the situation.

The laws of the country are very clear, when it comes to the issue of health and body parts, in terms of movement. The selling of human body parts in the country is illegal, whether people are advertising, soliciting, offering in terms of the country’s law as espoused by the Criminal Law and Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23 is very clear. Even the Constitution of the country is very clear in terms of human safety. Whoever is advertising or soliciting for human body parts for various reasons, they should be careful because they risk being arrested.

The President of the Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association Mr George Kandiero told The Chronicle that they were disturbed by reports saying they tarnish the image of traditional practitioners.

He added that the practice, known as kuchekeresa locally, has always been there and has negative effects on the whole family and many generations to come hence the need for members of the public to avoid such practices

Pressure Group Raises Alarm Over Price Distortions

By A Correspondent| Social and economic justice pressure group, the Progressive and Patriotic Citizens of Zimbabwe (PAPCOZ) has raised concerns over the skyrocketing prices of basic commodities it believes some business cartels are manipulating at the expense of ordinary citizens.

PAPCOZ treasurer Agnes Chikondo told a news conference in the capital that recent “unjustified” price increases in basic commodities required an immediate solution.

“The Citizens and consumers of Zimbabwe under PAPCOZ note with grave concern the appalling and unjustified increase in commodity prices.

“Such price increases coupled with a skyrocketing parallel market rate is not only of concern but has become cancerous to an extent of needing both diagnosis and urgent prescription.

“Since the resumption of the foreign currency Auction rate after its suspension last year, we have noted with concern the mismatch between the central Bank Auction facility and the parallel market rate,” said Chikondo.

The price of basic commodities in the country recently skyrocketed worsening the plight of cashless ordinary citizens.

Bread, cooking oil, and milk all saw price increases of more than 100% in the local currency.

Chikondo accused business cartels for being behind the price hikes and skyrocketing parallel market which has negatively impacted the livelihoods of ordinary citizens.

“It is worrisome that there are oligarchies, cartels and economic saboteurs in our midst who are operating in dark corridors, fighting government efforts to destabilize the economy.

“We are aware of these oligarchies and cartels and want to warn you in the strongest of terms that your time is up.

“There are businesses that are thriving because of the existence of the auction facility and yet we are now aware that these same entities are part of the cartels driving the parallel market for greedy purposes while fueling arbitrage,” said Chikondo.

Chikondo added the same businesses that “were benefiting from the auction rate were the same culprits charging goods using the parallel market rate.”

“Moving forward we are going to engage the financial intelligence Unit, all other law enforcement and security agencies to expose these oligarchies, cartels and all those involved in foreign currency shoddy deals.

“We shall ensure through our advocacy and non-confrontational methods that all these economic terrorists are brought to book and face the full wrath of the law.

“This important and urgent operation and campaign shall also push for the seizure of licenses of those businesses who are found on the wrong side of the law,” concluded Chikondo.

Chipinge Businessman Assaults Soldier Over Cheating Wife

Prominent Chipinge businessman Edmore Mwoyongewenyu (42) popularly known Doda has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a soldier, Shepard Makwenjere (22) whom he suspected of having an affair with his 18-year-old wife.

Manicaland Police spokesperson Inspector Nobert Muzondo confirmed the arrest of Mwoyongewenyu that happened this afternoon over the assault that happened on Saturday.

Makwenjere of House number 4180 Gaza E, Chipinge is admitted at Victoria Chitepo Hospital in Mutare after he was allegedly assaulted with a belt on the buttocks on Saturday. He was first admitted at Chipinge District Hospital on Saturday and transferred to Victoria Chitepo on Monday.

“We have arrested Mwoyongewenyu in connection with a crime he committed on Saturday. Mwoyongewenyu of House number 6531 Low density beat Makwenjere with a rubber belt alleging that he was having an affair with his wife. Other accused persons are still at large. BREAKING: July Moyo Restores Armed Robber Nguwaya’s Pomona Contract A Day After Cancellation

In his statement, the minister falsely claimed the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency authorised the deal to go ahead, when the facts are that ZIDA has always opposed the untendered contract and it was only passed through after the sudden death of the ZIDA Director, Douglas Munatsi. July Moyo said:

We understand that, on 2nd June 2022, a resolution was passed by Harare City Councillors, led by Councillor J. Mafume to suspend the Pomona Waste to Energy Joint Venture Agreement between the City of Harare and the investor, Geogenix B.V. It is surprising that Councillors went ahead to deliberate on the matter and some members in the City and the Ministry are being sued. We wonder why the Chamber Secretary and a lawyer would proceed to make such a decision.
With respect to the project, we wish to advise that all procedures were followed. The City and the investor agreed on terms as to how to execute the joint venture while the investment appraisal was done by the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency (ZIDA) and also recommended to the Joint Venture Committee. All the recommendations from this process went to Cabinet, which is the highest executive authority, for approval and a lower organ cannot violate the principle of subsidiarity. Following Cabinet’s approval, the joint venture agreement was closely analysed by Government lawyers, including the Attorney General’s office before it was signed.
The waste management project, amongst other benefits, will create employment, generate power and assist in refuse management. Government wishes to advise that, in consummating this transaction, rigorous processes to ensure that Council and the country at large derive maximum benefits were undertaken. It is confounding that a group of councillors have decided to, once again, appraise this project and in the process causing needless delays and, with it, the risk of jeopardising investor appetite.
We condemn this conduct which amounts to cheap political grandstanding at the expense of the country and it is therefore necessary to state that the project will not be stopped unless done so by judicial action. Again, we state that the matter i that some members were mentioned in the legal pape 0

32 000 Ghost Voters On Voters Roll

By- The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) said it had removed the names of 32 010 dead people on the voters’ roll.

According to the state media, the list of the deceased persons was published in the Government Gazette under General Notice 1197 of 2022 by the chief elections officer, Mr Utloile Silaigwana.

“The names of those persons will be removed from the voters roll unless notice of appeal is given to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission. By means of this notice, notification is made to any voter on the First Schedule who may be alive to lodge an objection at the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Mahachi Quantum, 1, Nelson Mandela Avenue, corner Kaguvi Street and Jason Moyo Avenue, Harare, and at the respective Commission Provincial Offices, to the inclusion of his or her name in the First Schedule using the form prescribed in the Second Schedule no later than seven days from the date of publication of this notice,” Mr Silaigwana said.
In an interview, ZEC spokesperson Mr Jasper Mangwana said the electoral body adheres to its constitutional mandate and always removes names of dead people from the voters’ roll.
“The commission has always been gazetting names of the deceased persons to ensure that if there is any objection to the removal of these people from the voters’ roll it is brought to the attention of the Commission”.
He said this is a continuous process that the commission has always been doing when it receives a list of deceased persons from the Registrar General.

“We then check for those that are on the voters’ roll and we then advertise that if there is any objection considering that these days there are issues of identity theft. If someone objects to the removal of the deceased persons from the roll because they are alive, that is corrected.
“This is just the process the Commission does after the gazetting. If there’s no objection then the Commission will proceed to remove this person from the voters’ roll”.
With such due diligence followed, Mr Mangwana said issues around ghost voters are merely sideshows.
“How do they vote if they are not alive? Who is going to approach a polling station if they are dead? So the process is very clear and promotes the integrity of the voters roll”.
However, there are challenges for the Commission because not everyone is interested in obtaining a death certificate, thus in some instances the names of deceased persons might not be struck off from the voters’ roll.
“The Commission is allowing other stakeholders or relatives to bring to our attention deaths of individuals that can assist us to have a clean roll,” said Mr Mangwana.

Commenting on these creative images that have gone viral on social media, Chamisa said the change was inevitable.

Mnangagwa Far Better Than Ian Smith: Wafawarova

A Herald columnist has said the late Prime Minister Ian Smith can in no way be better than the current leadership.

Drawing several parallels, Reason Wafawarova said Ian Smith won’t recognise Harare today if he was to wake up today.

Ian Smith

He said in full:

Two thirds of morden day Harare wasn’t there during Ian Smith time. Rhodesia had 166 secondaty schools countrywide. Zimbabwe has no less than 3000 secondary schools today.

Ian Smith had one university only. Zimbabwe has more than ten universities.

Rhodesia had 120 clinics countrywide. Zimbabwe has a clinic within each 20 km of populated area.

There is no single surviving high way of the colonial era. Masvingo Mutare was redone after independence and so was Harare Mutare, Harare Bulawayo, Harare Beveridge etc.

Ian Smith wouldn’t recognise an inch of Harare if he rose from the dead today.

Anyone who thinks Ian Smith was good for Zimbabwe is saying the Liberation war was unjustified or misdirected at a hero.

I take exception to that with all the wrath, fury anger and irateness ever possible.

Please do not insult our resolve, bravery and ideological greatness just because you were born in a completely useless generation only good at dancing in halls at night, sleeping around and spending your entire life on social media.

This revisionist nonsense about the greatness of Ian Smith or Rhodesia must stop or we will stop it the very way we stopped Ian Smith.

Don’t insult us.

Minister Fired For Stealing Fertiliser

By- President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fired his Deputy Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Minister, Douglas Karoro.

The inputs include fertilizer, maize seed and horticulture kits, which were meant for the Presidential Inputs Scheme for Mbire farmers.

Loud ED-Singing Denouncing VP Chiwenga At Own Secretary’s Funeral

By A Correspondent | ANALYSIS | The silent war between Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga has increased volume with the former’s supporters loudly denouncing the man’s deputy at the funeral of Chiwenga’s secretary, in what has worsened rumours suggesting Godfrey Chanakira was murdered.

Chiwenga Grabs Power From Mnangagwa

By- Zanu PF President Emerson Mnangagwa has revealed that factionalism was alive in his political movement.

Addressing supporters while commissioning three boreholes in Glen View, Harare, last week, Mnangagwa, however, observed factionalism in the ruling party but did not state the factions.

Mnangagwa’s deputy Constantino Chiwenga is leading a faction planning to remove him from office.
Mnangagwa said the party’s Harare provincial chairperson; Goodwills Masimirembwa, struggled to contain factionalism in the province. He said:
Here in Harare, there is a lot of factionalism. Masimirembwa is struggling to contain factionalism in the province, and we don’t want that in the party. Zanu PF does not belong to individuals.
“If you want to be promoted, work hard and we don’t want people who use money to get positions in the party. We are also against land barons. If you are caught on the wrong side of the law, you will be arrested. We will continue to rule this country as we have a two-thirds majority in Parliament and nothing will stop us from ruling this country.

Real Madrid Snatch Chelsea Star

Real Madrid have signed Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer.

The Germany international, 29, has agreed on a four-year contract at the Bernabeu and will join when his deal at the Premier League club expires on June 30.

A Chelsea statement said:

Chelsea thanks Toni for his contribution to our success over the last five years and wishes him well in his future career.

Rudiger, who will be presented as a Madrid player on July 20, spent five seasons at Chelsea winning the FA Cup in 2018, the Europa League in 2019 and the Champions League in 2021.

He rejected the club’s offer of a contract extension.

Madrid were impressed by the centre-back’s performances in their Champions League quarterfinal tie in April when Rudiger scored in a 3-2 second-leg win at the Bernabeu which saw Chelsea eliminated 5-4 on aggregate.

The LaLiga club had been contacted by the defender’s representatives earlier in the season but ruled out a move at that point due to the likely costs involved.

Their position changed after the Champions League second leg, and a deal was concluded swiftly, with Rudiger’s desire to play for Madrid and a drop in his wage demands viewed as key.

Rudiger’s signing is the second time in successive seasons that Madrid have taken advantage of the availability of a top-level defender on a free transfer, after signing David Alaba from Bayern Munich last year.

Rudiger, Alaba and Eder Militao will compete to be Madrid’s first-choice centre-back pairing, although the versatile Alaba could also switch to left-back.- Pindula News

Mnangagwa On Mugabe, Mujuru Officials Witch Hunt

By- President Emerson Mnangagwa is hunting down all government officials who had close links with the former President Robert Mugabe and former Vice President Joice Mujuru, Zimeye.com has learnt.

Sources within Mnangagwa’s government said ED was confident that Mugabe and Mujuru associates were now working with his deputy Constantino Chiwenga to topple him.

They said the firing on Wednesday of Munesu Munodawafa from being the Ministry Tourism permanent secretary position was only the beginning of more such purges ahead.

Raphael Tayerera Faranisi replaced Munodawafa.

Mr Munodawafa served as the former Vice President Joice Mujuru’s principal director for more than ten years.

In a statement Wednesday, Misheck Sibanda, Mnangagwa’s chief secretary, did not disclose reasons for dumping Munodawafa.

He only said the former Mujuru’s long-serving official would be reassigned elsewhere.

Mnangagwa and Mujuru ran competing factions fighting to take over power from Robert Mugabe during the tenure of the country’s long time ruler.

Mnangagwa faction prevailed after the controversial death of Joice’s husband, General Solomon Mujuru, in an inferno in August 2011.

General Mujuru was a Zanu PF kingmaker and could approach Mugabe and challenge his political decisions.

For this reason, many still suspect that Mnangagwa killed Mujuru to weaken Joice’s political powers.

Chaos As Grade Four Pupil Produces Gun In Class

By-A Grade Four pupil at a primary school in Harare brought a gun into his class, and another pupil recorded a video of the weapon via a smartphone.

The child allegedly produced the gun in the class, when the teacher was out. The incident, which shocked parents, happened on Monday last week.

The video was posted on a WhatsApp group and one of the parents with a child at the school raised the alarm.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the incident, adding investigations were in progress. He said:

Police are investigating a case involving a minor reported to have been found with a gun at a local school.

Details will be released upon completion of investigations.

One of the parents told H-Metro that school authorities made sure that the name of the culprit would not be revealed. Said the parent:

The incident exposed children to danger. Imagine such a young boy has the knowledge of handling a firearm from home to school and posting a video on social media. It’s unacceptable.

51 Sentenced To Death By Stoning For Adultery

Classified records have revealed Iran has sentenced 51 people to death by stoning for adultery with the victims set to have rocks hurled at their heads while trapped in sand.

Leaked documents smuggled from inside the country’s prisons say 23 women and 28 men as young as 25 await their brutal executions.

Those sentenced to death by stoning have previously been wrapped and bound in a white sheet.

Victims in the past have been buried up to their neck or waist in the ground before stones were hurled at them.

In the past, it has sometimes taken several hours for the victim to die.

The records, obtained by The Sun Online from sources of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), include the names, ages, sentencing body, and location of imprisonment of the accused.

It is the first time an official list of individuals sentenced to stoning by the Iranian Judiciary has been acquired from within the regime.

Death by stoning came into force in Iran after the 1979 revolution, and despite the judiciary placing a moratorium on the vile practice in 2002, many are still condemned to the wicked punishment.

Under Iranian laws, rape, adultery, armed robbery, and murder are among crimes that can lead to the death penalty – which law enforcers in the country have long argued is essential for maintaining public security.

Iran’s Penal Code even has specific instructions for how the execution should be carried out, stating: “The size of the stone used in stoning shall not be too large to kill the convict by one or two throws and at the same time shall not be too small to be called a stone.”

Victims first have their hands bound before being covered in a sheet, which is tied in several places including around the neck, waist, and ankles.

They are then buried in a ditch filled with sand – with women having just their shoulders and head left above the ground, while men are exposed from the waist up.- Pindula News

How Safe Is Chiwenga?

By Simba Chikanza |  FEATURE | Just focus on registering to vote, forget about ‘finishing the sports,’ because State Power only comes through the ZEC database, ZANU PF increases the decible, in a message it daily communicates; and yes, it is true that there have been 2 live grenade attack attempts against Emmerson Mnangagwa’s deputy Constantino Chiwenga. This was between April 2018 and June of that year. The first attempt was reported on the 28th April. Impeccable sources cited by the exiled Prof Jonathan Moyo said on the ‘Wed night as Chiwenga took off his shoes in his bedroom to store them away; the shoes hit an object which rolled and made a metallic sound. To his horror, the object was a grenade. He summarily dismissed domestic staff and got security detail detained.”

The second grenade exploded against the man’s wife on the 23rd June 2018, and the VP was missed by a whisker at the White City Stadium in Bulawayo.

All these horrors caught on camera were relived this week when it emerged Emmerson Mnangagwa blocked the granting of hero status to Chiwenga’s late secretary, Gen Godfrey Chanakira, and only did so after a second consideration.

How safe is Chiwenga? And how clear is the path to taking over state power seeing that Mnangagwa’s crew are not politicians at all; they are mere professional saboteurs? The opposition will have to think and act faster than saboteurs.

State Power Now Simba Chikanza article caricature

#STATE POWER NOW

As the upcoming by election draws near, the necessity to do a security briefing, under the topic ‘State Power Now’ is more than vital, Thomas Mapfumo reveals.

Mapfumo in his latest interview with me, says if Nelson Chamisa is entering these polls on the wrong foundation, this will be disaster. Is he safe, and what must be done to attain safety?

If he calls Emmerson Mnangagwa, president, he has already lost State House; he will never make it and it will take him another 500 years to remove him because Mnangagwa is a terrorist.

What does this analogy make clear? It speaks to the subject of “State Power Now.” Over the last 3 years I have spent this entire time focusing on establishing state of power now: not only publishing, but demonstrating it.

What exactly is State Power now? It is the instant application of UN level legal powersto do things such as regime change.

Simba Chikanza

This is all done while crushing traditional bottlenecks, hindrances that keep repeating over centuries of despotiques.

I have demonstrated this application several times in my fight against the fake news directed against my work while I was being told, first that there was no coup in November 2017, and after the 2018 elections, I and other scribes must honour the self boasting genocide criminal, Emmerson Mnangagwa, with the title, “President.” 3 years ago, I broke the norm, and refused, and today, I have proven that State Power Now works.

Dictators don’t want you to know that you have State Power, because upon its implementation, they are swiftly removed. When is State Power obtained, in the coming election? In 2023? No, it is taken today, now, by simply recognising it and instantly exercising it. There is no other way it comes.

There are numerous ways State Power Now can be exercised, without breaking any laws, and without conducting either a coup or a demonstration. No noise is necessary because State Power is powerful enough. Authority does not require noise or excessive effort. In a country like Zimbabwe, this happens to be the most feasible option to ending institutionalised crime and repeating state capture.

It can also be implemented in phases. Where struggles are at their worst, one of these ways is imposing State Power Now in layers; this is in country scenarios that are the most difficult. Creating a parallel police force on the international arena is one of these ways. Another is creating a second electoral commission operating in the international airspace. I tried the first method, in phases, and at present, Chief Felix Ndiweni is implementing the second one, through the MyRightToVote campaign, a brilliant initiative that will get the Mnangagwa family controlled Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, squared off.

The masses should not wait to get law and order tomorrow, because a delay means it will never happen. State Power is only exercised now; if you wait for it, it will never come. If the opposition cannot for instance run its own CID law and order department in the diaspora, so that whenever someone commits a crime inside Zimbabwe, they will be met with instant justice upon flying out of the country, it will be very difficult to remove the monster that daily terrorises citizens. In this proposed model, dockets will be assembled every day by members of his organisation stationed outside the country working with those inside. When I travelled to Serbia in 2019, this is what I was on about to not only publish but demonstrate State Power Now. State power has to be not only talked about, it has to be demonstrated and it can only be exercised in the now, not futuristically.

Number two: you also need to set up your own structures of government. You need to do this figuratively and you may need at the same time physically. Such preparation strengthens you so when the moment arrives, you are ready to take over power, and in Chamisa’s case, it goes beyond graphics, it is a matter of legal reality, because there is clear demonstrable evidence that he won the 2018 elections.

When Edgar Lungu switched off the internet after losing the 2021 election, I spent the whole night studying how to drop the bombshell question. I had to ensure that words are loaded with state power. While in the act of throwing my questions to him, if you listen to the construct of my discourse, you will notice how I managed to totally dislodge him before opening his mouth.

One can notice from the 22minute interview, that I was exercising state-power-now. I made it very clear to him that he is no longer the president of Zambia, even though in reality he was still controlling the instruments of power legally as President until a handover; and even though I have never visited thar country, I made it clear to him that even I myself would be in a position to throw him into jail same day. State power now, has to be exercised in this way with confidence, firmness, and with now-ness.

At this time, the man was preparing to use the state security against his citizens and then hold onto power illegally through an excuse that his opponents have committed terrorism. He was just about to create chaos and then declare a state of emergency, all for the convenience of his political nuisance. The only way to stop him was to use State-Power-Now, and it worked.

If Chamisa and his members cannot upgrade themselves to this level of State Power Now, they are wasting the masses time, because Mnangagwa has made it clear that the election game is a mere elimination (killing) operation.

While the opposition is hoping on only one method – voting, trusting that the rogue soldiers running the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission will transform into civilians, Mnangagwa is operating outside the rules of a real election and under such an approach, there are 15 million ways he is disappointing Chamisa. He has state powers to use every and any citizen against the opposition through violence and afterwards blame them for it.

What Chamisa now needs after the Zambia election victory, is to utilise a facility in the UN, AU, and SADC charters, that deregisters politicians who obtain power through a coup.

Chamisa needs to supervise the suing of the former and the current president of Zambia on the basis that that country’s presidency participated in operationalising the Aug 2018 military coup, the unconstitutional overthrowal of the government led by Nelson Chamisa, at its foundations, between the 1st and 10th of August 2018. Both need to be sued so that they announce official apologies to the UN SADC and the AU, that they regret that Zambian state resources were used to overthrow a constitutionally elected government led by Nelson Chamisa, at its foundations between the 1st and 10th of August 2018.

The deportation of Tendai Biti through the help of Zambia, was a violation of a High Court order being furthermore a war crime, as it was part and parcel of the military coup against Nelson Chamisa.

If Biti and Chamisa do not do this, they have betrayed the people of Zimbabwe as 2023 is going to be worse militarised. – MORE IN NEXT WEEK’S POWERTOID ON STATE POWER NOW

Mnangagwa A Threat To Citizens Safety

Tinashe Sambiri| CCC Youth Assembly spokesperson, Stephen Sarkozy Chuma has described the Zanu PF leader, Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa as a threat to civilian peace.

According to Chuma, citizens are not safe as long as Mr Mnangagwa is in power.

“Citizens are not safe as long as
@edmnangagwa
is at helm of state power. Yesterday it was Itai Dzamara, then
@ceechimbiri2
,

&
@MarovaNetsai

. Today it’s Moreblessing Ali. Tomorrow is any other citizen. The only way to end this is to remove Mnangagwa!
Citizens are hungry and angry! Govt is just watching as people die of hunger. Colonialism no! But when you see your people nostalgic about an oppressive system of the past, then that tells you the current govt of

Chief Nearly Knifed

In a stranger than fiction story, a traditional leader “escaped” a lightning attack that had been meant to kill him for enforcing customary law in his area of jurisdiction.
Chief Siachilaba, born Nonah Mungomba, told B-Metro that he is lucky to be alive after a lightning bolt struck a hut in his homestead moments after walking out to answer a phone call.

Some societies in Zimbabwe believe that lightning can be used for evil deeds such as killing an enemy.

It’s believed to be used as part of witchcraft practices.

Chief Siachilaba said he was targeted for enforcing customary law in his area.

But he vowed to keep exercising his duties even if it meant he will be a target of such witchcraft practices.

“I invited a popular Bulawayo prophet to come to my area to help sick people and also get rid of evil creatures that some community members are using for witchcraft purposes.

“It appears that the invitation did not sit well with some people and I was a victim of a lightning attack, which luckily I survived.

“My hut was burnt to the ground and the person responsible said he wanted me dead for acting out my traditional leadership roles,” said Chief Siachilaba.

How did he know who was responsible for the attack?

“Last week, Prophet Mutumwa was in Binga and he told me that he was ready to name that person in order to get rid of the muthi that he uses to target his enemies,” he said. Mutumwa has been on a tour of Binga praying for the ailing.

“I won’t mention that person but I’m happy that he agreed to let the prophet get rid of the muthi,” he added.

Mutumwa said it’s true that lightning can be used to target perceived enemies.

“It’s not uncommon for lightning to be used to kill people and those that believe in its power go to great lengths to own such muthi.

“The Chief asked me to come back to his area and pray for sick people there,” said Mutumwa.— B Metro

Divorced For Being Broke

WHEN the woman is a breadwinner!
Andrew Chabata from KweKwe is a devastated man after his wife Petronella Ruzwidzo Bungu allegedly ditched him because he was jobless and broke.

Chabata claimed Bungu divorced him due to her status as a breadwinner.

He made the startling claims at the Bulawayo Civil Court where his ex-wife had dragged him seeking a protection order against him claiming he was verbally and emotionally abusing her.

Bungu told the court that her ex-husband was also stalking her and threatening to go to her workplace and cause a scene as a way of embarrassing her.

“I want a protection order against my ex-husband. He is harassing me through text messages, phone calls and unannounced visits at my place. Last year he physically abused me and I want the court to grant me a protection order so that he stops harassing me,” begged Bungu.

She also claimed her ex-husband was also disturbing her peace by constantly phoning and sending messages to her mother.

In response, Chabata stated that his ex-wife’s application for a restraining order was just a plot to get him out of her life for good since he was not employed.

“Though I am not opposed to her application, the accusations she stated in the application are not true. I can, however, confirm that some time we exchanged harsh words because of her infidelity.

“The issue at hand is that I am not employed and I am not able to provide for her. She is now the breadwinner and I am now a liability to her hence the reason why she wants me out of her life,” responded Chabata.

His response didn’t go down well with Bungu who claimed that when Chabata married her, he didn’t tell her that he was married.

“We got married in 2016 and it was after he lied to me that he was divorced. When I found out that he had a wife, he told me that the wife was given to him by the elders. I tried to stay in that polygamous marriage but I failed to do because of his abuse.

“He put me under a lot of pressure and during that time I was at school and pregnant. He also didn’t want me to work yet he did not have enough money to look after me.

When I gave birth, he neglected me together with the child and I had to go back to my mother’s house. He once lied that he was in Afghanistan yet he was in Kwekwe enjoying with his first wife,” she narrated.

She said her ex-husband started accusing her of infidelity after she got a job.

“He started accusing me of cheating after I got a job in Government. When I terminated the relationship, he was not taking care of me and the child. He has also been abusing me. We never had peace in our marriage.

“He once found me a place to stay in Montrose and he was now bragging saying I was from the ghetto and I was now enjoying the luxury of staying in the low-density suburb. He would also not allow me to talk to men,” said Bhungu.

In her ruling presiding magistrate Nomasiko Ndlovu ordered Chabata not to verbally and physically harass his ex-wife in any way. -B Metro

Kaizer Chiefs Lose Another Star Player

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that forward Dumisani Zuma has left the club.

The attacking midfielder’s departure comes after the Soweto giants decided to release him from his contract due to his disciplinary issues.

A statement by Chiefs reads: “Attacking midfielder Dumsani Zuma’s numerous disciplinary issues have led to the Club letting him go with a year still remaining on his contract.

“This follows his latest appearance in front of the DC, which resulted in his dismissal as recommended by an independent authority. The 27-year-old only featured three times in 2021/22 for Chiefs.

“Since joining from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2017, he has been suspended a number of times, including twice in one season. He was also sent to rehab and counselling in the season that just ended. Over five seasons, he played 100 matches (25 starts + 75 subs) and scored 13 goals.”

Zuma becomes the latest player to leave the club during this off-season period.

Amakhosi have since parted ways with Samir Nurković, who is ending his three-year stay at Naturena.

Mnangagwa Hunts Down Mugabe, Mujuru & Chiwenga Associates

Alarm As Grade Four Pupil Produces Gun In Class

A Grade Four pupil at a primary school in Harare brought a gun into his class and another pupil recorded a video of the gun via a smartphone.

OPINION: ZEC Already Not Doing Their Job

By Dudzai Mukondorongwe| People have been campaigning night and day to register to vote. Many are praying night and day that the 2023 election will be a fair one. Many are hoping that life will improve after the election. What’s worrying, is that all these hopes will be in the hands of an organisational called ZEC that manages elections in Zimbabwe. On paper, the role of ZEC is to make sure that democracy prevails and that every Zimbabwean who registered to vote is given the chance to do so, free from threats and that all votes are counted and a winner by majority is answered.

In reality, ZEC has been a hindrance against free and fair elections. If Zimbabwe was a democracy, ZEC by now would have been disbanded. We are about a year away from the 2023 election, but we don’t need to wait that long to see that ZEC already don’t know or want to do their job properly.

It has been reported the ZEC will not allow an independent audit of the voters roll. That in itself shows that they are not motivated to fight against electoral fraud, in fact not allowing an independence audit is an indication that there are shenanigans happening with the voters roll. If ZEC were doing their job, they would be vocal about the violence against CCC people by Zanu supporters. If ZEC cared about democracy, they would protect people in the rural areas who are being threatened with violence and poverty if they don’t vote Zanu. There is more. A free and fair election is not just about the voting and vote counting. It’s also about ensuring that the state media is giving space to other political parties to put their case to the public who after all pay for the national broadcaster. One of the obvious signs that the ZEC does not care about democracy is that they have never forced ZBC to give the main opposition party fair representation on the radio and on TV.  Fair representation in the media is an indicator of the fairness of a general election.

If ZEC are incompetent or unbothered by bias before vote casting, what stops them from having the same corrupted approach during the counting of the votes. If ZEC don’t want an independent audit of the voters roll, what are they hiding? Between now and the 2023 election, more scrutiny needs to be cast on the ZEC. The Zimbabwean people deserve to know who these people are, what they are doing to prepare for the election, and continue to expose all the corruption.

Stand Off Between Teachers, Other Civil Servants Escalates

The standoff between the civil service umbrella union and teachers representatives has escalated amid reports that government workers called off their planned demonstration last Friday fearing disruptions from educators.

Zimbabwe Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions ZCPSTU, formerly known as the Apex Council, intended to hand over a petition for better wages to the Public Service Commission last Friday.

But some teachers unions accused ZCPSTU of working in cahoots with government to shoot down efforts by the educators to call for United States dollar salaries.

Yesterday, acting ZCPSTU chairperson Goodwill Taderera said: “We intended to hand over the petition to the ministries of Finance and Public Service, and we had clearance from the police.

“We then realised that there were people who wanted to hijack our programme, from our internal intelligence. We decided to reschedule that for another date. Probably the police had picked that too so there was commotion, but we intended to hold a peaceful petition handover. We do not talk about other trade unions. We talk about our union and we work together to fight for a common cause.”

Teachers’ unions such as the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ), Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (Artuz) and the Zimbabwe National Teachers Union (Zinatu) told NewsDay that they were not part of the ZCPSTU petition.

Artuz president Orbert Masaraure said: “The ZCPSTU is frustrating all efforts towards transitioning to genuine collective bargaining. They have chosen to be custodians of the redundant and illegal SI 141 of 1997, which is ultra vires section 65 of the Constitution. The body has also become a willing poodle of the employer and completely disregards internal democracy.

Teachers have since moved on and are organising under the Federation of Zimbabwe Educators Unions.  We have made it clear to government that we will never negotiate under the Apex or ZCPSTU arrangement. We will only engage in line with section 65 of the Constitution.”

Zinatu president Manuel Nyawo called for the disbandment of ZCPSTU.

“The only way forward is for workers to get organised through their respective unions and push for the establishment of a collective bargaining council.

“We need a new crop of leadership at Apex who should push for the establishment of the Civil Service Collective Bargaining Council through section 65 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe. We may not even need the Apex Council to do that,” Nyawo said.

Since 2019, teachers have been engaging in endless strikes for better salaries or a return to their pre-October 2018 US$540 salaries.

On May 25, PTUZ secretary-general Raymond Majongwe wrote a letter to President Emmerson Mnangagwa alerting him of the need to rescue the country’s education sector, which he said was on the brink of collapse.

In the letter, PTUZ raised various complaints which included failure by government to pay a living wage to teachers, and failure by the Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council to pay allowances to examiners months after they finished marking.

Cop Nabbed For Stealing Food Meant For Recruits

A POLICE officer at Matabeleland North’s Ntabazinduna police training depot has been dragged to court for allegedly stealing food rations meant for recruits.

Maizon Fungawo (45) pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Linear Khumalo who remanded him out of custody to June 13 for trial continuation.

Fungawo is represented by lawyers from Tanaka Law Chambers.

State prosecutor Owen Mugari told the court that on March 31 this year at 1600 hours, Fungawo was on duty at Ntabazinduna training depot mess when he took delivery of 55kg of chicken cutlets to prepare lunch for trainers and trainees.

The officer-in-charge at the training depot, inspector Bernard Chiangwa, instructed Fungawo not to cook all the meat. At 2100 hours on the same day, Chiangwa saw Fungawo carrying a military green backpack leaving the camp.

Chiangwa instructed sergeant Sakala Nelson to search his backpack and it was discovered that it contained chicken cutlets valued at $4 047.

A report was made at Mbembesi Police Station leading to Fungawo’s arrest.

In his defence outline, Fungawo, who denied the allegations, said he had been framed.

Mwonzora Dithers On Party Congress Dates

Uncertainty has clouded the MDC Alliance congress scheduled for next month, with party president Douglas Mwonzora reportedly dithering on the dates.

Mwonzora told journalists at a Press conference in the capital last month that he would announce the congress dates the following day, but has been mum since
then.

Sources within the party yesterday told NewsDay that Mwonzora is quiet about the congress fearing a strong challenge from chairman Morgen Komichi, vice-president Elias Mudzuri and member Norest Marara.

The party’s standing committee reportedly proposed July 2 for the congress, but Mwonzora refused to give the nod.

Mwonzora is also being accused of replacing finance director Todd Mapiringe with his close friend Robert Mandeya, a move that has raised eyebrows in the party.

“Mwonzora said there will not be any nominations before the congress. He fears that if there is going to be a nomination exercise, he might even fail to get a single nomination,” a party source revealed.

“There is a push within the party that Mwonzora must be contested at congress, but he is influencing party youths to insult other potential candidates on social media platforms.”

The source also said after Mwonzora’s electoral loss during the March 26 by-elections, some party members wanted to remove him from the presidency.

“We believe Mwonzora is now after money, because politically he is down. We are surprised that after our standing committee meeting we proposed the July 2 date, but he flatly refused for no apparent reason. He also shot down the July 23-24 date. Mwonzora is using his position to override some decisions which he believes do not benefit him,” the source said.

MDC-A spokesperson Witness Dube, however, quashed the allegations, describing them as malicious.

“As you are aware people will say anything and those are malicious allegations. We are going to announce the congress date very soon.  Today (yesterday) we are hosting a standing committee meeting where we are going to deliberate on various issues, including the election dates,” Dube said.

Man Strikes Workmate With An Axe Over SIM Card

A Harare man has appeared in court after he allegedly struck his workmate with an axe
on the forehead, over a dispute involving a SIM card.

The suspect, Tendai Tingani, was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Yeukai Dzuda who remanded him in custody to June 17.

The complainant is Johannes Machiva.

The two are employed by S And M Bricks.

The court heard that on Tuesday, at around 7pm, Tingani went to Machiva’s home with his wife Francesca Dhururu.

It is the State’s case that upon arrival, Tingani’s wife knocked on the door, which was opened by Machiva.

It is alleged Tingani demanded that Machiva return his wife’s sim card.

Tingani allegedly then struck Machiva once on the left palm, once on the left elbow and on his forehead.

Machiva collapsed as he was bleeding profusely.

Anesu Chirenje appeared for the State.

Chimurenga Music Guru To Settle Across Limpopo

Zimbabwean-born struggle hero and musician Thomas Mapfumo has sent a message of gratitude to chief Livhuwani Matsila of Matsila village outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo for offering him a piece of land.

Seventy-six-year-old Mapfumo has been in exile in Canada and United States after Zanu-PF hounded him for his strong criticism of its economic policies. He has resolved to relocate to South Africa.

Mapfumo is delighted to be offered a place.

Affectionately called Mukanya, Thomas Mapfumo was born in Marondera, east of Zimbabwe in 1945.

During the white-dominated regime in the then Rhodesia, Mapfumo’s music was mainly a rallying call to fellow Zimbabweans to join the liberation struggle.

He was imprisoned numerous times without charges for his militant lyrics.

After independence in 1980, Mapfumo continued to be vocal against the new government led the late President Robert Mugabe. He fled to exile in Canada and the United States following a soured relationship with the Zanu-PF led government.

Although he is coy on why he chose South Africa, Mapfumo has thanked Chief Livhuwani Matsila for his generosity.

“I thank you very much for the land you gave me and I feel honoured and I want to say thank you so much for making me part of your people really I appreciate it.>

Chief Livhuwani Matsila says Mapfumo’s residence will shine the light on his village and will be a source of inspiration for young people who aspire to achieve great things in art and music.

“We felt that we should have a place of residence here at Matsila village just to honour him and his family for the contribution he has made in promoting African culture and music. His international exposure will sure benefit our young ones in terms of participating in culture and music, his status internationally is a symbol that Africa can achieve greater objectives.”

Meanwhile, famed Limpopo music producer and singer Hani Mutele, is elated to see his childhood role model relocating to Limpopo.

“We are very thrilled after receiving news that legendary Thomas Mapfumo is going to be staying with us here. It is going to be so beneficial for all of us since we will have someone close, someone we have always looked up to.”

It’s not yet clear when Mapfumo will make his move to South Africa permanently.

Speaker Of Parly In Hot Soup Over Diaspora Vote Remarks

Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda has attracted brickbats from colleagues in the ruling Zanu PF party after he called for the amendment of the Constitution to allow Zimbabweans in the diaspora to vote in the 2023 elections.

Mudenda, who also called for the appointment of a second vice-president, said there was need “to amend the Constitution to encapsulate the diaspora vote” at an all-stakeholder workshop organised by the Zimbabwe Election Support Network (Zesn) held in Kariba last weekend.

The statements have ruffled feathers in Zanu PF, with party spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa yesterday saying the Speaker was offside.

“It’s okay for Parliament, as the electorate of the sovereign people of Zimbabwe to express their certain views,” Mutsvangwa told journalists at a Press conference.

“We also belong to a party and we have the majority. It’s unbecoming when some of our members express views in Parliament about certain issues. We have a caucus at the party. Why would somebody from the ruling party want to go and express things about the diaspora or express things about when the President should be electing a vice-president?”

Under the current legislative framework, Zimbabweans living abroad cannot vote.

The opposition has been pushing for a diaspora vote, among several electoral reforms, to guarantee a free, fair and credible election.

In his speech at the Zesn workshop, Mudenda said: “Should the diaspora vote take currency, there is a need to amend the Constitution to encapsulate the diaspora vote. Further, amendments to the Electoral Act should clearly specify the procedures and mechanisms for registration and voting for citizens in the diaspora.”

But Zanu PF has fiercely opposed the diaspora vote, with analysts saying the ruling party is scared that millions of Zimbabweans in the diaspora will vote for the opposition.

The Electoral Act only guarantees government employees such as diplomats the right to vote from outside the country through postal votes.

Following the 2018 elections, observer missions called on government to facilitate postal voting for every Zimbabwean as guaranteed under section 67 of the Constitution, which speaks to universal suffrage and guarantees every citizen above the age of 18 the right to vote.

Said Mutsvangwa: “We should discuss them here. To go out and start talking out of turn is not the Zanu PF way. There is no problem in having variant views, but let’s discuss them if you are a party member. As the spokesperson of the party, I appeal for discipline from our party members.”

In 2018, the Constitutional Court barred millions of Zimbabweans abroad from voting in that year’s elections after an appeal filed by three Zimbabweans — Gabriel Shumba and Sibonile Mfumisi (both based in South Africa), and United Kingdom-based Darlington Nyambiya seeking the right to vote.

Mounting Pressure For Harare City Council to Cancel the Pomona Waste to Energy Deal

The Combined Harare Residents Association (CHRA) has petitioned Harare City Council (HCC) to terminate the dubious Pomona Waste to Energy Deal.

The controversial deal between Georgenix company and HCC saw the City of Harare handing over Pomona Dumpsite for free to Georgenix while, the local authority is mandated to pay USD22 000 per day in the first year, with or without depositing waste at the Pomona Dumpsite.

The petition implored the Harare City Council to exercise its constitutional mandate by;

1. Rescinding the Council resolution on the Pomona Waste to Energy Project made on the 1909th Ordinary Council Meeting, of the 28th February 2022, in terms of Section 89(1)(a)(ii) of the Urban Councils Act 29:15 by giving a notice of motion to rescind the resolution.

2. Terminating the Memorandum of Agreement(MoA) between the City of Harare and Geogenix BV for the Pomona Waste to Energy Project.

3. Setting up a Special Committee in terms of the Urban Councils Act 29:15 Section 100 and conduct an Investigation or an Inquiry to the Pomona Waste to Energy Agreement and present the Report before the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.

Private players that have been complementing the City’s efforts in refuse collection and waste management have suspended operations due to the unsustainable USD40 per tonne charged by Geogenix after the taking over of Pomona Dumpsite last month.

The termination of the Agreement feeds into the City of Harare Strategic Plan (2021-2025) strategic pillar “STOP THE BLEEDING” and contribute towards Harare achieving its World Class Status.

Furthermore, the Constitution of Zimbabwe Section 298(1)(d) call for public institutions including local authorities to ensure that public funds must be expended transparently, prudently, economically and effectively.

On the other hand, Section 308(3) of the Constitution gives duty of every person who has custody or control of public property to safeguard the property and ensure that it is not lost, destroyed, damaged, misapplied or misused.

CHRA believes that the agreement will sink the already financially distressed the local authority into a serious and unsustainable debt leading to total collapse of service provision.

Chamisa, Factionalism Destroy Mnangagwa

By- Opposition CCC and Zanu PF factionalism are the two things that are giving President Emerson Mnangagwa sleepless nights.

Chamisa, early this week, told his supporters that the army and civil servants had endorsed him.

The Army Is Fed-Up With Mnangagwa

By Paddington Japajapa | Emmerson Mnangagwa knows that the Zimbabwe National Army isn’t happy with the situation in the country. They are earning Rtgs whilst rents, school fees, food, transport etc is paid in foreign currency. The members of the ZNA like any other citizen are have no access to the RBZ auction bank exchange rate.

This means they have to face the discord music of the Zimbabwean economic exchange rate like every other voter. The situation is not sweet music in barracks as the standard of living has deteriorated at an alarming rate. The soldiers under what circumstances will they vote ZanuPF’s Mnangagwa? The army thought in removing Mugabe in 2017 coup their lives would change for the better but alas things have gone from bad to worse.

A member of ZNA is recruited in his late teens and is supposed to work for 20 years. This means a soldier at 40 years will be faced with retirement. He will move into retirement without a house of his own both in Urban and Rural areas.A Zimbabwean soldier is sure to retire into destitution. This is pathetic. The soldiers are quickly realizing the truth of working under Mnangagwa’s government.

Most of the soldiers have young families. They need to pay school fees . They can’t afford to rent more than one room ,meaning they can’t buy furniture. They only have a small bed and a wardrobe.*

The soldiers are educated unlike the 1980 soldiers. They are so much exposed to social media which inform them of the SADC counterparts’ standard of living. There is restless in the army as they ponder of their future.

Mnangagwa must never try to force members of the ZNA to vote against their wish as it will be catastrophic.Mnangagwa must accept and afford members of the army to elect a leader they have faith in.The ZNA has lost faith in ZanuPF.

More than 90% of the soldiers are staying in the high density areas with suffering majority. They interact with friends, relatives , neighbours and fellow tenants (lodgers) on the situation in the country. The hardships caused by Mnangagwa’s failure isn’t sparing them. The price of cooking oil which is forcing fellow citizens to eat munjonjo is also affecting the soldiers.

It’s a pity when some silly, out of touch and inconsiderate ZanuPF leaders claim that if Chamisa wins they will go to war.The first group to celebrate Chamisa’s win will be members of the ZNA because they would have been liberated from poverty. If a ballot box was to be placed in an army barrack and freedom of choice guaranteed it will be a miracle for Mnangagwa to score 3% votes. In some barracks, Mnangagwa will be scoring zero zero votes like Mwonzora.

Zimbabweans have lost faith in ZanuPF.The security forces are no exception.Mnangagwa as a liberation struggle Fighter he must revisit the aims, objectives and ethos of the liberation struggle. He will understand that the liberation Struggle was fought for ONE MAN ONE VOTE meaning “Uyo adikananwa nevanhu nguva iyoyo ndiye uchatugamirira nyika”

??☝️?? Patriotic Papa JC speaks when things are not good for Citizens who want better change in Zimbabwe.

BREAKING…….Unforgiving Mnangagwa Purges Remaining Mujuru Top Aide

By- President Emerson Mnangagwa has fired the former Vice President Joice Mujuru’s aide.

Mnangagwa Wednesday fired Munesu Munodawafa from being the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry and replaced him by Raphael Tayerera Faranisi.

Mr Munodawafa served as the former Vice President Joice Mujuru’s principal director for more than ten years.

In a statement Wednesday, Misheck Sibanda, Mnangagwa’s chief secretary, said Munodawafa would be reassigned elsewhere.

Mnangagwa and Mujuru ran competing factions fighting to take over power from Robert Mugabe during the tenure of the country’s long time ruler.

Mnangagwa faction prevailed after the controversial death of Joice’s husband, General Solomon Mujuru, in an inferno.

General Mujuru was a Zanu PF kingmaker and could approach Mugabe and challenge his political decisions.

For this reason, many still suspect that Mnangagwa killed Mujuru to weaken Joice’s political powers.

Trained CIO Caught On Camera Inside State House On Videocall

Emmerson Mnangagwa’s CIO trained wife, was caught on camera by Simba Chikanza for more than half an hour making a string of suspicious confessions while being engaged to answer over several issues that include her deployment of amed robbers to key national posts of govt and public business.

WATCH PART 2 OF THE VIDEO BELOW (from timeline 1:13:00)

The development is cited by analyst Thulani Ndou in the following analysis article:

Auxillia Abuses Authority: By Thulani Ndou
16 May 2022…

The First Lady of Zimbabwe Auxillia Mnangagwa once again displayed her evil character by using the state apparatus to try to gag Simba Chikanza, a journalist. After she called Chikanza via video call, showing off her expensive property ranging from golden chairs to diamond tables, she ended the call after thirty five odd minutes.
Chikanza was subjected to half an hour of insults, lectures, and repeating self pity blurts that are nothing but abusive. Having failed to cow Chikanza into silence; she then instructed her unconstitutional office to issue a press statement accusing Chikanza of trying to extort an interview from her.

The earlier discussion Chikanza had with Auxillia exposed her character in a way never seen before. She showed off her golden chairs while at the same time threatening Simba with unspecified action if he dares publish the conversation. She threatened him saying, “one day we will meet face to face.”

The issues she distracted the interview relate to her recent deployments of dangerous armed robbers to key national posts: all the country’s State Houses are now under the illegal Directorship of a convicted armed robber who is her own brother, and she this year has furthermore gone ahead to appoint the same armed robber, the paramount King of Mazowe-Chiweshe (Negomo).
She has appointed another armed robber, Delish Nguwaya, to the post of Director of a thieving so called Dutch investor, Mr. Delish Nguwaya, over the Pomona Dumpsite project. How many hospitals can Harare build with the USD14million which Auxillia Mnangagwa is making the city’s ratepayers pay the well known armed robber disguised as a Dutch Investor, Mr. Delish Nguwaya?
Mrs Mnangagwa behaves like she owns the country and everybody in it. Contrary to a press statement issued by Auxilia’s office the conversation was on record. Chikanza is not a friend to Auxilia thus any conversation is always on record.

Auxillia Mnangagwa herself called Chikanza via video on the official newsdesk phone.
Secondly, she broke trust by threatening Simba during the interview. She is known of issuing threats and physically assaulting people especially her staff at the state house and her official residence. It should be known that there has never been any trust between her and the media since the coup, no one has ever been allowed to critique her.
Auxillia has always patronised people using any power close to her.

The liberation struggle in Zimbabwe was fought and won on the impeccable principles of discipline, respect and honour. It is a shame that the First Lady has no honour neither does she have respect for any one. She is stubborn and as a nation we are cursed.

It was as much the firepower, the resilience and the bravery of heroes as it was their honour that triumphed. The same principles and values will sustain the next stage of the growth and development of Zimbabwe. Power, position and the excercise of authority must be hedged with a sense and excercise of responsibility.

Auxillia caused her office to write a press statement saying she was threatened by Simba Chikanza. Simba would swear that he,did not threaten Mrs Auxillia Mnangagwa other than informing her of what is inevitable, as it is standard practice to notify a source of the deadline before a story is published so they can ensure they have contributed fully. Unfortunately Twitter character space doesn’t allow for all these words to be typed. In any case who can threaten a bully who is the First Lady. Her allegations of being threatened are laughable.
Mrs Mnangagwa knows well the issues at stake are beyond the single one that she sites. They, as the video will reveal, also relate to one of armed robbers she has deployed to strategic national positions which placings now endanger the security of millions of Zimbabweans. She has taken over the job of the minister of local government by appointing her brother to be a chief.
This same brother has a criminal conviction of armed robbery. He is now a Director in the state house and a traditional chief. This posting places the people of Zimbabwe in danger.

Auxillia has a duty to tell the people of Zimbabwe “why he put his criminal armed robber brother as a chief and again promoting him to be a Director in the state house. Zimbabwean would want to know with the prevalence in armed Robbery how many armed robbers who are friends to Kutyauripo are being given shelter in the state house.

Auxillia has reduced the respect given to the state house by her uncouth forked tongue.
Mrs Mnangagwa also knowing well that the matter at stake is the ongoing looting of millions of USD’s of Harare ratepayer money, is just being unprofessional and downright criminal.

A series of allegations have been made against Mrs Auxillia Mnangagwa and her terrible twins who are publicly without shame looting the National purse.

The charges against Auxillia range from murder as in the murder of Doug Munatsi to fraud and money laundering. Zimbabweans deserve better.
Obviously it is easy to ask whether any of those are true. However, this is not the purpose of this piece. The purpose of this piece is to underline the fact that those that are linked to leadership position and therefore are in the public eye must be constantly be conscious of the relentless scrutiny on their being and on their behaviour and the characters that they associate with. This includes spouses of political and government leaders. They carry an immense responsibility to ensure that their conduct, actual or perceived, does not attract avoidable smear to themselves, to their spouses and to the government.
It should be mentioned that showing Auxillia’s house was no threat but just a stating of the conclusions the public will reach when they notice that her claim that she ‘sells tomatoes for a living’, totally contradicts the 24 karat golden chair she is sitting on. The video shows jewellery and other expensive things in the interior of the house, which threatens her image as an honest person.

Simba is fully aware that he must follow the rule that you have to seek to protect your source’s dignity and wellbeing, before your own. But Auxillia’s dignity can not override the need to protect the public from unprecedented corruption.

Clearly the press statement by Mrs Mnangagwa has not covered herself in glory by speaking as she did to Simba Chikanza.
She has not helped herself by associating with characters which are dubious including her robbery convict brother….

Who Wants To Take Home Ginimbi’s Posh Cars?

Sisters of the late socialite, Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure, have approached the Harare Magistrates’ Courts seeking the release of the deceased’s top-of-the-range vehicles.

Genius Kadungure

Juliet and Neria Kadungure are seeking the release of the late entrepreneur’s Bentley and Rolls Royce.

The first applicant, in her founding affidavit, Juliet told the court that the two sisters were the surviving siblings of the late socialite, who appeared before the same court, facing two charges of fraud.

She told the court the two sisters were appointed executors to Ginimbi’s estate by the Master of the High Court on March 1, this year.

Kadungure claims the criminal proceedings related to the two vehicles had to be discontinued and abandoned on account of the demise of Ginimbi.

The sisters claimed that all of Ginimbi’s assets now belonged to the estate and, as the duly appointed executors, “they are in the shoes of the deceased as far as the pursuit of release of the cars in question is concerned.”

They told the court they wrote to the officer in charge of the CID, where the vehicles are kept, requesting that they be released to them, but never got a response.

The State opposed the application by the Kadungure sisters on the basis that the two vehicles were never tendered to the court.

The State added that it considered the two vehicles as proceeds of crime and it was working on obtaining the forfeiture of the vehicles, in terms of the money laundering Act.

Releasing the vehicles to Ginimbi’s estate, the State said, would result in frustrating the process of obtaining the forfeiture orders.

“The executors of the accused person’s deceased estate have not exhausted all the avenues available to them for the release of the motor vehicles from the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

“There is no evidence of any attempt to engage the relevant DISPOL or PROPOL.

“There is also no evidence of any attempt to engage the Commissioner-General of the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

“It is, therefore, submitted that the application has been prematurely placed before the court” reads the State’s response.

In the first count, the State was alleging that Ginimbi bought a Rolls Royce Ghost for R5 million and later came up with a receipt from the dealer meant to deceive Zimra.

The receipt claimed he had bought the car for R3 million.

Acting on the misrepresentation, Zimra then charged duty totalling to US$ 138 170 instead of US$228 430.

In the second count, the State was alleging Ginimbi bought a Bentley for R3 291 784 and came up with a receipt to read R1 900 000 and was charged US$81000 duty instead of US$139 665. — H Metro
