One Rita Chipo Barbara Mugocha (45), the Principal Town Planner was swindling unsuspecting residents of thousands of dollars through her loverboy and “Ben10” Kudzai Elton Mawondo(33).

ZimEye.com received audios and chats of their schemes. Mugocha had also started harrassing and victimizing some of the witnesses who had evidence against her.

This was evidenced by how she then rushed to apply for a peace order against a certain woman making allegations against her.

Mugocha claims she is being targeted by people who nurse grudges against her.

Mugocha claimed her offices were searched in her absence but how is that possible at Cleveland House a council building guarded by municipal police and who in right senses would leave an office door open, not locked at a public building?

Sources at Cleveland House say Mugocha’s office has tight security settings.

Another media house took the story and portrayed her a victim as she declared in court before Magistrate Sharon Mashavire that Council had conducted investigations and nothing was found.

However, sources at Harare Municipal Workshop have revealed investigations are already underway under an officer named Mr Zihumo.

A source at the city council argued:
“So why did Mugocha lie before a magistrate if for a fact she did not know someone was protecting her at the top in council?”

“Mugocha never made a report to ZRP or Council Police for the alledged abuse which later proved to us all this she had done rushing to civil court was trying to intimidate a witness wanting the matter to be swept under the carpet,” added the source at Harare City Council.

As all this was raging on, Mugocha for the past 7 years has been in an illicit affair with Kudzai Elton Mawondo while legally married.

According to court documents, her marriage was only terminated on the 2nd Of June after she filed for divorce which was uncontested on the 30th of March.

Not only is Mugocha corrupt but for the past years she was a despicable cheating wife.

As she bellowed and declared in court how she was being abused in the background she was now trying to cover her tracks of infidelity and just being an unscrupulous women with no dignity in her.

Close sources say Mawondo from the age of 25, was already a live- in boyfriend of Mugocha who constantly assaulted him over infidelity.

At some point, neighbours vividly explained how Mawondo was beaten up and had flour poured on him with his clothes thrown outside as he was kicked out of Mugocha’s Hatfield house .

An elderly woman showed concern and wondered if Mawondo had no family.

The neighbours also mentioned how Mugocha constructed a perimeter wall and put up a big gate .The neighbours also believe the allegations are true.

On the settlement she then mentions Stand No. 548 Amsterdam Township , Southley Park, Harare that she states is hers and should be put in her 3 kids names in equal shares and states the husband should be awarded usufruct until she remarries or dies.

Usufruct meaning the right to use and enjoy the use of one’s property short of destruction.

Though at the same time Mugocha stays at 49 Scott Road Hatfield which is her house that she built and completed.Somehow she chose not to mention that property in her divorce application nor did she use her personal address as it is clear she wanted it concealed from the world.

Commiting perjury before Judge Tsanga who presided over the matter as the house and stand at 49 Scott Road Hatfield was purchased and built during the course of her marriage.

On then speaking to one of the witnesses further information was relayed to us.How there is also talk of another stand in Waterfalls at Stoneridge in her name which the witness did not deny or brush off as Mugocha’s Ben10 is famous for approaching young girls and lying to them wasting their time pretending to be an eligible bachelor who stays in a one bedroom flat in Waterfalls yet he stays with Mugocha in Hatfield where he is looked after as he has no job or source of income except stealing from citizens caught unaware promising them land.

So how does a Council employee with a council salary get to build 2 to 3 houses in her name and still be labelled clean? 49 Scott Road Hatfield and 548 Amsterdam Townships Southley Park are both in her name and properties developed by Mugocha.Is it not now clear that some people are now protecting her as clearly they have deals that they could have done together and it’s now difficult to put Mugocha in line as she will not go down alone?

How is her wealth amassed explained yet she is fulltime employee at Council and no side occupations?

It is very clear Rita Chipo Barbara Mugocha nee Mbanga has a number of properties in her name that are being occupied by relatives or persons of interest.

“We have written to council for an explanation and we hope we will be responded to as it has been revealed everyone investigating or going after Barbara Mugocha is either suspended or victimized at council.We hope the docket will see the light of day in court and not just being swept under the carpet,” a representative of a residents’ forum said on Wednesday.

By putting the Southlea stand in her kids names she is trying to cover up so that when stands in her name are traced they will not find anything .

Govt says it is in “no hurry” to relax mandatory wearing of face masks despite a decline in new COVID-19 infections in the country.

On Tuesday, Information and Publicity minister Monica Mutsvangwa told a post-Cabinet media briefing that the average new infections stood at 16 per day in the past week, with no COVID-19 cases recorded in schools.

“The overall number of new COVID-19 cases continued to decrease, with 112 cases having been recorded, compared to the 133 recorded the previous week, marking a 16% decline,” Mutsvangwa said.

“Cabinet reports that a total of 17 new admissions were recorded during the week compared to 13 the previous week. No patients were admitted in the intensive care unit. This indicates that the COVID-19 pandemic remains under control.”

Government introduced mandatory wearing of face masks in May 2020 at the height of the first wave of the pandemic.

Regional countries like Botswana and South Africa have since lifted the mandatory wearing of face masks.

National COVID-19 taskforce chief co-ordinator Agnes Mahomva said government was closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation.

“Yes, the numbers are going down and we are so proud as a country that we are doing exceptionally well than other counties in the region and even globally,” she told NewsDay.

“Despite various challenges, we remained focused. This is one of the main reasons why we will not to be so quick to relax some of the measures to protect people. We are just coming out of winter, but we are keeping our eye on it to see that we are completely out of it before we review and decide what we need to do with face masks. We are giving it a few weeks.”

She said with schools closing this week, there was no hurry to remove the face mask mandate as the country was still in the winter season where respiratory infections are common.

“Law enforcement agents are still enforcing proper wearing of masks, as long as we are recording cases of COVID-19, masks are necessary. It is not about what other countries are doing — South Africa, United Kingdom or America — it is about what we are seeing on the ground,” she said. -Newsday

Police have arrested two men who allegedly tried to swindle Zanu-PF Secretary for Administration, Dr Obert Mpofu, of US$2 700.

One of the suspects approached Dr Mpofu on Monday claiming that he was Croco Motors’ chief executive officer Dr Moses Chingwena and wanted to donate an assortment of farm equipment but needed US$1 700 to pick up the implements in Polokwane, South Africa.

Later, he demanded US$2 700.

According to a witness who is an aide to Dr Mpofu, the suspect, Phillip Nenyamani phoned Dr Mpofu’s personal assistant, Mrs Vimbai Shumba, and introduced himself as Dr Chingwena of Croco Motors.

He said he wanted to give Dr Mpofu farm implements which included tractors and combine harvesters but the equipment was in Polokwane.

Mrs Shumba phoned her boss to inform him about the development and Dr Mpofu immediately phoned Dr Chingwena to thank him for his “kindness,” only for Dr Chingwena to express ignorance about the donation.

“He, in fact, warned Dr Mpofu to be careful as he had previously heard that there were conmen who were going around using his name to claim that they could deliver farm implements and all they needed was money for transport,” said Mr Mthabisi Mthimkhulu, Dr Mpofu’s aide who witnessed the dramatic arrest of Nenyamani.

Mr Mthimkhulu said Dr Mpofu informed the police who set a trap.

He informed Nenyamani to come to his offices at York House in the city centre to collect the money.

“It did not take long for him to come to the offices where detectives were already on site.

Upon arrival he changed his story and said he now needed US$2 700 which he was given and acknowledged by appending his signature as proof of payment.

“The moment he put the money in his pockets, an arrest was effected and during interrogation he said he was sent by one Fungai Chinobva who has offices at Bradfield Shopping Mall,” said Mr Mthimkhulu.

Police raided the offices, arrested Chinobva and seized some documents and laptops.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed receiving a report but said more details will be released today. –Herald

In a statement released on Wednesday, President Chamisa challenged the regime to focus on real issues affecting citizens.

The recent MID TERM BUDGET review confirms that Zimbabwe is in a serious leadership crisis and citizens are exposed to extreme poverty and suffering. I say this for the following reasons:

At a time where inflation has reached 257% in July and people in extreme poverty are 7.9 million (49%), the budget disbursements to social is extremely low, e.g., ministry health has been given 27% of the budget by June instead of a min of 50%.

When the consumer basket for a family of 5 has topped ZWL$140K, government raises salary of the lowest paid civil servants to $35K (excluding the US$175) and raise the tax free threshold to $50K, both of which are far below the consumer basket & poverty datum line;

There is just unrestrained indiscipline in gvt upon rampant galloping corruption.

The condonation of ZWL$ 107 billion for 2020 & 2019 fiscal years is testimony to this.The gvt has created distortions in the foreign currency markets &now gold coins, the havens for corruption.

We face a major economic collapse and prospects of the bleakest Christmas season this year. USD:RTGS is now at 1:approx 800. The leadership failure is dramatic, gigantic and encyclopedic.

The following must be done immediately :

a)Dollarisation which will immediately eliminate distortions, forward pricing and multiple pricing;

b)Restoration of the US$540 as a starting salary;
Holistic tax reform. Reduce the tax burden on citizens and the business in general. As part of the tax reforms, we will remove the 2% tax and streamline taxes;

Remove distortions esp in the agricultural sector and construction sectors which has created a casino economy.

The elimination of the Currency Auction and reforming the RBZ through limiting the power of the central bank. Separating the roles of central banking and financial services supervision.

Reforming the budgetary process, so that the budget comes from parliament and not from ministry of Finance. The budget must come from the Citizens -a Citizens-centered budget.

Radically dealing with the corruption pandemic and instituting special mechanisms to eliminate and punish the corrupt.

Holding credible, free and fair elections preceded by a comprehensive pact on electoral reforms.

Only a leadership change will rescue our beautiful country and in no time turn and transform this Zimbabwe from ruins to greatness. We are new leaders. #RegisterToVoteZW

CHIREDZI – Masvingo Provincial Councilors for Ensuring Development (Councilors 4ED) chairperson who is Chiredzi Urban’s ward 2 councillor Obert Ngwenya was allegedly caught pants down with a lower six Hippo Valley High School pupil at his Westhood Lodge by one of his workers.

Ngwenya is alleged to have dated the pupil for some days and would send his driver only identified as Phiri to pick up the girl and her two friends at the school to his lodge where he would have quality time with the girl while her friends were in another room.

Hell broke loose when Ngwenya failed to buy food for the victim’s friends who then began to gossip around the school until it reached school authorities who investigated the matter leading to expulsion of the three pupils.

Hippo High School Head could neither confirm nor deny the incident but referred questions to the District Schools Inspector (DSI).

“You can get in touch with the DSI, she is our spokesperson and the right person you should talk to,” he said.

When asked if the matter had been reported there, the school head said it definitely could not have not reached her office.

Contacted for comment, the DSI Petronella Nyangwe said she could not comment on the matter via the phone and asked the reporter to send written questions so that she could forward them to the Provincial Education Director (PED)’s office.

“I cannot discuss about that matter over the phone, why don’t you send questions of what you want to know so that I forward them to the PED. I think she is the one who can comment on the on the matter,” said Nyangwe.

A source said the matter was however not reported to the police because one of the parents with the children in question is a teacher at the school and is allegedly afraid of Ngwenya and her reputation as a teacher.

“The victim’s mother is a teacher at Hippo so she was said to be afraid of soiling her reputation. She was also afraid of Ngwenya whom she said is too powerful and may harm her, reason why she could not report to the police.

“When the matter came to light, the pupils were asked to write reports in which they indicated that the girl in question is the one who started talking to the councilor pretending to be someone else until they agreed to date and later visited the lodge several times.

“They were then expelled from school but the parents came and spoke to the school and the DSI ordered their readmission to school saying it was unlawful for them to expel pupils because of the matter,” said the source.

In letters leaked from the school attributed to the girl and her friends, she narrated how she had asked for Ngwenya’s contact and talked to him pretending to be someone until they fell in love and the politician began to pick her and friends to Westhood lodge.

“One day we were in class (name withheld) talked about blessers (those old men who date school children, having sex with them giving them money) and she mentioned Mr Ngwenya.

I asked for his number. We started chatting. I even called him pretending to be (Name withheld), a girl he once dated. I wanted him to send me money but he did not…” read part of the leaked letter.

On the day in question she said one of the lodge’s employees entered the room, found Ngwenya naked and she screamed loudly such that her friends who were in another room heard the screaming.
She was ordered to go to the other room and she told her friends what had happened.

“On Thursday, it was a sports day again, the three of us went to the lodge. We were collected by the same car by Phiri and we were in school uniforms. We went to the lodge to collect Mr Ngwenya. We then went to town together with him. We were bought two boxes of Chicken Inn and one box of pizza which (Name withheld) had ordered.

“We went back to the lodge then (names withheld) locked themselves in a room whilst I and Mr Ngwenya were in another room. We just kissed and when he was about to put off my clothes, a maid just came in unknowingly.

She was like Maiwee-e and ran away because Mr Ngwenya had already put off his trousers. Mr Ngwenya ordered me to go in that other room,” read the letter.

Another letter by the girl’s friend alleges that on July 1 they went again to the lodge and the victim came back with red eyes and on being asked why her eyes were red she said it was exhaustion from a hard work she had done inside the lodge.

“Then Friday 01 July I refused to go but (name withheld) begged me and I went with them. We were left in the other room and she was in the other with Mr Ngwenya, they took about 20 -30 minutes then she came and we asked her why her eyes were red and she replied that ‘Pashandwa basa’,” read part of the letter.

The source said the matter had since opened a can of worms as a number of organizations that deal with the girl child are getting involved.

“The matter is being suppressed and Ngwenya is doing all he can to sweep the matter under the carpet but several organizations that deal with the girl child have now been involved and it’s just a matter of time before it blows,” said a source.
Contacted for comment Ngwenya said he was in a meeting and said he will revert back while on another attempt to get his side of the story he said he was travelling and would get in touch later.-TellZim

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has refuted social media reports that four robbers who raided a Safeguard Security company cash-in-transit vehicle just outside Mukuru money transfer agency in Bulawayo on Monday have been arrested.

The four suspects pounced on the vehicle at around 8.40 am at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Lobengula Street and went away with US$100 000 and over R500 000.

ZRP spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the suspects were yet to be apprehended. He said:

The ZRP advises the public that the claims circulating on social media to the effect that armed robbery suspects who pounced at Mukuru Bureau in Bulawayo yesterday have been arrested are false.

Investigations are in progress and the suspects have not been arrested.

Asst Comm Nyathi said the police will release details on any developments over the case.- Pindula News

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) family is humbled and inspired by the show of brave support for our candidate, Mr. Costin Muguti, in the recently held by-elections for the Gokwe-Kabuyuni constituency.

We are grateful for the 4 915 people of GOKWE KABUYUNI who,
against all odds, voted for our candidate, representing over 44% of the electorate.

It is encouraging as a party that we are closing the gap from the 2018 elections when the opposition then garnered 29% of the vote.

We had a good fight and for us this is a learning curve as we approach the watershed 2023 General Elections.

Gaining rural ground against nearly insurmountable odds shows that the message of change is gaining ground in rural communities. It is further proof that CCC is the real alternative and no amount of electoral chicanery will dampen the mood of change sweeping across the nation.

We got 4 915 votes in the midst of fear, thousands of assisted voters and abuse of traditional leaders by the dictatorship.

As a progressive party we must deal
decisively with the abuse of traditional leaders and the assisted voters provision by Zanu pf.

To this end electoral reforms remain the only solution to these electoral malpractices and we will mount a national, regional and international effort to push for all necessary reforms.

Zanu PF won on a margin of terror and a menu of manipulation consisting of violence, banning the alternative from campaigning, brazen vote buying and a captured ZEC.

The elections Commission long failed the nation and must be disbanded and in this election it failed to protect the integrity of the vote by allowing a range of malpractices to happen without any repercussions for Zanu PF. In any free, fair and credible contest the Zanu PF candidate should have disqualified for egregious infractions of the electoral law but the commission did nothing.

As we move foward, to counter the machinations of the dictatorship in our rural hinterland, Operation bull mango will take centre stage. Remain yellow at heart and green to the outsider.

Our pledge to the people of Zimbabwe is that change is here and come 2023 we must bring an end to the moribund dictatorship which has stolen our freedoms, prosperity, future and dignity as a people.

On this day in 2018 after the July 31 harmonized elections, six (6) unarmed innocent civilians were butchered in cold blood by the captured army with thirty-five surviving the shots with severe injuries. It is now four (4) years after a Commission of Inquiry was set and made audible recommendations.

1 August is another rude reminder of the brutality, barbarity, impunity, and cruelty of Mr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, ZANU-PF, the Army, and the Police.

The recommendations of the commission include that the perpetrators of crimes on 1 August be prosecuted – the demonstrators who destroyed property and the captured soldiers who butchered innocent citizens in cold blood. All were regarded as in breach of discipline , to be identified by the internal military processes and sanctioned.

Surprisingly, even this much has not happened which is a testament to ZANU-PF’s attempt to deter protesters using the Army and the Police. In a constitutional democracy, the primary mission of the army is to ensure national security and national unity to defend the nation from external aggression and internal threats and to maintain peace and tranquility within country borders.

It is quite perturbing to see a crackdown on civilians who were demonstrating against electoral fraud by the desperate ZEC and ZANU-PF regime. Demonstrators were unarmed, they were not a threat to national security but to ZANU-PF goons who were on the verge of losing the plebiscite to the People’s President Advocate Nelson Chamisa.

Citizens Coalition for Change Namibia recommends the criminal prosecution of the soldiers responsible for the killing of protesters. It is evident that none of those responsible for the human butchery has been brought to book and convicted.

Further to that, members of the Army and Police who murdered breached their professional duties and discipline are yet to be identified (4) four years after the unfortunate and ugly event. Change champions in Namibia are cobra-headed that Anselem Sanyatwe was promoted soon after giving the instructions for the Army to shoot civilians.

It is quite pathetic that after the 2018 harmonized elections, we witnessed another dark cloud on at least (16) protesters in Harare who were also killed for demonstrating against increased fuel prices in January 2019. The Army went on a rampage, beating people and raping women in various locations of Harare.

Moreover, it is fundamental to underline that there has not been any meaningful or sincere effort toward reform and transformation from the autocratic ZANU-PF except for mere rhetoric and politicking.

Before the 2022 March by-elections, we witnessed the use of ZANU-PF thugs to kill, maim, torture, arbitrarily arrest, and gross abuse of the fundamental basic human rights including the sanctity of life. The culture of violence has become a permanent feature in ZANU-PF totalitarianism.

Change champions lost Mboneni Ncube in Kwekwe, Langelihle Dube in Bulawayo, Nyasha Zhambe in Masvingo, champion Chinembiri in Harare and Moreblessing Ali in Nyatsime, Harare. We shall continue to clamour for comprehensive political, electoral, and constitutional reforms ahead of the 2023 harmonized elections.

In a nutshell, the vibrant district encourages change champions to demand transformation in the matter in which they administer elections. ZANU-PF regime should not use the army and the police to protect ambitious belly politicians at the expense of the suffering masses. We need reforms before the 2023 harmonised elections.

ZAKA – Jethro Munangi (36), a close aide to President Emmerson Mnangagwa is eyeing Zaka East Constituency in the 2023 elections, according to reliable sources.

He seeks to unseat Zanu PF MP and Deputy Finance Minister Clemence Chiduwa.

When called for a comment Munangi who once worked for the Central Intelligence Organisation said it was not the right time to make such an announcement given his sensitive post.

He however, said he like any other citizen has the right to participate in any political contestation.

A source told The Mirror that Munangi has already drafted a proposed template for the development of Zaka East.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has refuted social media reports that four robbers who raided a Safeguard Security company cash-in-transit vehicle just outside Mukuru money transfer agency in Bulawayo on Monday have been arrested.

The four suspects pounced on the vehicle at around 8.40 am at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Lobengula Street and went away with US$100 000 and over R500 000.

ZRP spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the suspects were yet to be apprehended. He said:

The ZRP advises the public that the claims circulating on social media to the effect that armed robbery suspects who pounced at Mukuru Bureau in Bulawayo yesterday have been arrested are false.

Investigations are in progress and the suspects have not been arrested.

Asst Comm Nyathi said the police will release details on any developments over the case.- Pindula News

They were carrying AK47s clad in police uniform.

The men said they were from Dema Police Station,” CCC said in a statement.

The permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana has reported that a stray lion was shot dead in Mwenezi on Sunday night.

The killed lion was part of a pride of three lions believed to have escaped from Save Valley Conservancy and were being tracked by rangers after being spotted by villagers near Tokwane Ngundu in Nyajena recently.

The lions were wreaking havoc in southern Chivi and Masvingo districts where they have been killing livestock.

The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) rangers killed the male lion on 21 July and two were remaining before the second one was shot dead last night.

Mangwana said the remaining one disappeared into the mountains. He said:

One of the remaining 2 stray lions that have been on the run in Mwenezi District was shot last night at Manyuchi, close to Mazetese. The stray lions were 3 and 1 was a male lion was shot on 12 and the other disappeared into the mountains. 1 remains outstanding.

Villagers in Nyajena and surrounding areas have been losing their livestock, especially cattle to the stray lions sparking fears they could end up harming humans.

Zimparks spokesperson Mr Tinashe Farawo urged communities to take extra measures and improve the security of their livestock and also avoid staying outdoors at night.

The pride was first spotted roaming freely near the Renco Mine turn-off along the Ngundu-Chiredzi highway.

They are believed to have escaped from Save Valley where the perimeter fence around the wildlife-rich sanctuary was vandalised by suspected poachers.- Pindula News

“Today(Monday) we visited the victims of Hyena attack who are admitted at Masvingo Gen Hospital who are from Zaka.

The late murderous Ximex Mall dealer Boss Pangolin, real name Tafadzwa Russel Murengwa, is alleged to have left bizarre burial instructions for his family to carry out.

The bizarre burial instructions were included in his alleged suicide note containing his last words, which has been leaked.

In the leaked note, Boss Pangolin is alleged to have instructed his family to call famous sangoma Sekuru Banda to come and collect some undisclosed items from his bedroom.

He further instructed his relatives to remove a black plastic bag from the boot of his Mercedez Benz vehicle and to place it in his coffin, with strict instructions not to look into the mentioned black plastic bag.

He also said that his relatives should not use that specific car after his death and insisted that they should sell it.

Boss Pangolin, who committed suicide after shooting dead his ex-lover Samantha Dzapata, appears to have planned for his impending death.

The alleged note reveals that he bought his coffin in advance and outlined how he wanted some of his assets to be distributed after his death. Unconfirmed reports suggest he left behind US$65 000 in one dollar notes.
