The magistrate suspended two years on condition of good behaviour.

Chaos In Zanu PF Youths Meeting

By A Correspondent- Chaos reigned supreme at the Buhera Youth Inter-District meeting at Murambinda Growth Point  yesterday as youths expressed their anger and displeasure over the the candidature of  Vongai  Faith Svova who allegedly doctored  her curriculum vitae.

The 22 year old Svosva allegedly mispresented her status in her curriculum vitae lodged with the Zanu National Office so as to stand a chance to contest in tomorrow’s elections for the Zanu PF National Youth League Executive post.

Manicaland Province has four slots that will make up a forty member National Executive.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Central Committee yesterday made a resolution that one to be eligible to participate in tomorrow’s plebiscite there should have served for at least five years at District level however, Svosva who served as the Chimurenga Branch Chairperson in Murambinda who has barely two years in the District executive structures as the Secretary for Administration has remained adamant.

It is further alleged that Svosva only registered to vote less than a month ago since this was a pre-condition for one to be a registered voter so as to be eligible for the elections.

Efforts to contact national youth league information department were fruitless.

Chamisa Rejects Mnangagwa Bribe

By- The Nelson Chamisa Citizens Coalition for Change party refused Zanu PF bribes which the ruling party offered to opposition political parties, including MDC-T Alliance leader Douglas Mwonzora, to facilitate their attendance of Independence Day celebrations in Bulawayo.

For the first time since 1980, Independence Day celebrations were held outside Harare on April 18.

Mnangagwa was impressed by opposition leaders’s attendance so much that he spoke about it more than once in public gatherings, including yesterday when he addressed a Zanu PF rally in Epworth.

It has since been established by this publication that taxpayers footed the bill for the opposition leaders whose packages included generous quantities of fuel, accommodation at top hotels and food.

Most of the opposition parties that travelled to Bulawayo belong to the Political Actors Dialogue (Polad) — a forum set up by Mnangagwa after the 2018 elections where he regularly meets losing presidential candidates from fringe political parties.

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa has refused to join Polad saying it is a Zanu PF cheerleaders club.

Chamisa’s CCC attended the Independence Day celebrations in the country’s second city, breaking away from the past stance of boycotting national events.

CCC representative at the celebrations Charlton Hwende said he did not receive the allowances and the fuel coupons,  but other opposition party leaders confirmed receiving the same, amid claims that some got as much as 400 litres of fuel to travel from Harare

“I never received anything, we attended on our free will,” Hwende said yesterday.

Linda Masarira, the leader of the Labour, Economists and African Democrats, said she received 150 litres.

“For the record, every person who attended the Independence Day celebrations as an invited guest was afforded fuel coupons in accordance with where they came from,” Masarira told The Standard on Friday.

“Everyone who has travelled away from home is obviously accommodated for national events.

“I don’t see why it should be hullabaloo that people who travelled from Harare were accommodated in hotels. Where did people want us to stay, in trees?”

Nationalists Alliance of Patriotic and Democratic Republicans leader Devine Hove said there was nothing untoward as Polad members were used to being pampered for their meetings with the president.

“As a member of Polad it is a norm that we are invited to attend such events and what I know is that guests are given fuel commensurate with the distance that you would have travelled,” Hove said.

His Zimbabwe Partnership counterpart Innocent Netanyahu added: “We only get fuel when we go to State House meetings.

“They have to legitimately compensate for that.”

Information permanent secretary Nick Mangwana yesterday said opposition leaders were assisted with “logistics” to attend the celebrations.

“No opposition and Polad member was paid to come, but the government just invited them and assisted with logistics,” Mangwana said.

Critics have said Polad is a waste of national resources.

In 2021, Mnangagwa attracted scorn after handing out 19 Isuzu D-Max vehicles to Polad principals at a cost of over US$1 million.

Polad principals have also been pampered with diplomatic passports and have been promised farms. Standard

Mnangagwa Bribed Opposition Parties To Attend Uhuru Celebrations

Police Hijacks Public Toilet

By- Police (ZRP) in Masvingo have hijacked a toilet which was meant for the public.

This came out in a full council meeting held at Town House on April 21 2022 when the recently re-elected ward 7 councilor Richard Musekiwa raised the concern.

Musekiwa said the police post has no toilet of their own, and officers have resorted to using the public toilet which they are reportedly personalizing.
“Police in Rujeko have personalized the public toilet in the suburb yet it is a council-owned property and it should be accessed by the public not the police to make it their property,” said Musekiwa.
He said police have since put a padlock to deprive hundreds of people who ply and stay close to Rujeko A shops.
Ward 8 councilor Against Chiteme also said the police camp should construct their own toilet than depriving residents access to their toilet.
“Rujeko police station should construct their own toilet instead of taking over council property leaving the public without ablution facilities,” said Chiteme.
Masvingo City Council Mayor Collen Maboke said the police station should just be closed as no such institution is allowed to operate without a toilet.
“No one is allowed or should operate without a toilet and those without toilets must be shut down. So if Rujeko police base does not have a toilet, they should just close,” said Maboke.
Efforts to get a comment from acting provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Lloyd Masundire were futile as he was not reachable.
When Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Kazembe Kazembe and Commissioner General of Police, Godwin Matanga visited Masvingo in April 2021, they toured police posts including Rujeko and were told that there were lots of shortages in terms of resources in police departments, chief among them being shortage of toilets at many camps.
Officer Commanding Masvingo Province Commissioner David Mahoya told Kazembe and Commissioner General Matanga that the province was faced with shortages of toilets, offices, police vehicles, stationery, fuel and accommodation among other things and also said the case of Rujeko police station was worrying saying under normal circumstances, the station would be condemned as there were no toilets as well as office space.
“Literally there is no police station here, there are no toilets, the place is small, officer in charge shares offices with other staffers and no vehicles to deliver services,” said Commissioner Mahoya.
During that visit Kazembe said government was aware of the challenges being faced by the police which include accommodation for officers saying concerted efforts were being made to address that but up to now nothing has materialized.

‘Gun Pointed At VP Chiwenga Maid’

– Even if a gun is pointed at you, do not unbundle this story.

– Marry Chiwenga’s maid exposed for lying about alleged crime that got VP’s ex wife convicted.

VP Constantino Chiwenga’s wife’s maid, Nyarai Bwanya was telephoned on Saturday morning and was engaged under subterfuge for 9.26min over the allegations she 2 weeks ago got Marry convicted despite witness evidence from Zimbabwe’s Judge President and Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi clearing Marry of the alleged offence of marriage fraud.

We rarely do this, to deploy methods such as subterfuge for journalistic research, and we do it in cases of serious or high profile crime to save human life.

Nyarai Bwanya spoke to ZimEye’s Simba Chikanza, and below was a brief except.

Nyarai Bwanya: Why would I go back? why would I go back?
Simba Chikanza: Because if you just speak, Right now he was speaking this morning saying if Nyari makes the mistake of speaking, you will immediately mess up, you’ll mess up the VP.

Nyarai Bwanya: Sir, the only thing I shall say is the truth that I will just say is the truth.

Simba Chikanza: What you said in court is what you stick to isn’t it? Just what you said in court isn’t it? That’s all you’ll stick to. Even if a gun is pointed at you, do not unbundle this story.

Nyarai Bwanya: You said

Simba Chikanza: Do not unbundle this story, Nyari. Because if it is just discovered, that you’re the one who said it, you know it well what happens in this country. If it is just discovered that you have brought out that truth. Hey! Nyari.

Civil Servants Request Urgent Meeting With Govt

Civil servants have written to their employer requesting an urgent meeting for the two parties to find a way forward regarding their salaries that have been eroded by rising inflation.

Zimbabwe Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions (ZCPSTU) ZCPSTU secretary-general David Dzatsunga said they are now waiting for a response from the Government. Said Dzatsunga:Things are going south. Nothing is working because of the inflation, the prices, the rate and all that we were given make no sense.

There is a US$75 and a US$100 salary and that was at least cushioning us. On average, a civil servant is getting ZW$28 000-ZW$30 000.

The way forward is we have written to the employer asking for a meeting with the National Joint Negotiation Committee (NJNC) and the letter was delivered on Wednesday.

We are now waiting for their response to our request for an urgent meeting.Civil servants are demanding a pre-October 2018 salary of US$540 per month but the Government says it has no capacity to meet its workers’ demands.

Last year, the government workers, mainly teachers, nurses and doctors, declared incapacity but authorities responded by threatening to withhold their paltry salaries and firing them.

By Elections Victory Has Put The World On Notice, Says Chamisa

Tinashe Sambiri|Citizens Coalition For Change leader President Nelson has said the resounding victory in the March 26 by-elections is a signal of great things to come.

President Chamisa took a swipe at the panicky Zanu PF regime for “cowardly disrupting” CCC programmes.

“The CCC BY-ELECTIONS LANDSLIDE VICTORY has put the world on notice that CCC is the next government in ZIMBABWE.

On this, Zpf is panicking and cowardly disrupting our Citizens dialogue Assemblies. The road to 2023 must be signposted by Pre-Election Pact on Reforms (PREPARE),” President Chamisa wrote on Twitter.

He added:
“We’re busy preparing your honey! It’s happening. Fellow Citizens, are you ready to be involved? “

PICTURES: Apostle Chiwenga And Togolese Pastor Announce: We’re Your Mothers | TRUTH or SATANIC NONSENSE?

EVIDENCE “YOUR MOTHER” TALENT CHIWENGA IS JUST A “KOMBAI TIROVE” AGENT.

By Howard Nyoni | Is criticising Emmanuel Makandiwa or Emmerson Mnangagwa the signature that Chiwenga is your mother?

Tinashe Jonas was even clearer than Talent Chiwenga’s convenient chatter against Mnangagwa and Makandiwa, and Jonas continued for 3 years running, until the opportune moment arrived to drop the masses into the ditch. There are 107 other agents planted by the ZNA to conveniently criticise Emmerson Mnangagwa…This Talent Chiwenga is one of them: he gathers people around through populistic statements (40y old president, etc etc) people want to hear, only to throw them into a ditch when it comes to the final direction they just take; (Chigubhu chiririkusukwa…
vaMnangagwa havana kutuma maSoldier kundopfuuura vanhu, Jehovah vakandiudza ini….. it doesn’t matter which President we have, all we want is peace…”

Is Talent Chiwenga a real community leader and not a Kombai Tirove agent like he did on his own church members in Harare on 21 Sept 2018, popping out to defend the same police officers who beat up his followers?

Is such a person who lies like this of God or they are in fact of Satan Mnangagwa?

In the last 4 years, there are many times Chiwenga has openly defended Mnangagwa more clearer than Makandiwa, Magaya, Guti, have ever done.

  1. He said “vaMnangagwa didn’t send or deploy 1 August 2018 soldiers,” a statement which itself is the most criminal utterance in Africa, because the opposite, having been witnessed on live ZBC TV, it only serves to shield the man who’s killed more blacks (30,000 plus) than apartheid SA, and it weakens the court cases of those who are still at suing Mnangagwa over it.
  2. Protected the ZRP cops who assaulted his own church members on 21 Sept 2018.
  3. The 40y old Presidential contestant can no longer be president as predicted by Chiwenga’s own 2014 prophecy because the vessel is still being washed. Again this is very criminal because it only strengthens the coup that Mnangagwa committed in 2018 against Nelson Chamisa.
  4. Saying Chamisa’s party is only interested in positions; it doesn’t matter which president we have in Zimbabwe, all we want to see is peace.

YOU NEED TO DO SOME LEARNING ABOUT MILITARY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS, AND DISCOVER THAT TALENT CHIWENGA IS NOT YOUR MOTHER!

Felton Kamambo Fired From ZIFA Board

The ZIFA Congress voted overwhelmingly to revoke suspended president Felton Kamambo’s mandate at an Extraordinary General Meeting held this Saturday.

Forty-three out of forty-five councillors voted to revoke Kamambo’s mandate including that of board member (finance) Philemon Machana and board member (development) Brighton Malandule.

Kamambo, Machana and Malandule were absent, while the only suspended executive members that attended the meeting were Sugar Chagonda, Babra Chikosi and Farai Jere.

Former ZIFA vice president and Bulawayo based businessman Gift Banda has been voted acting ZIFA president.

Banda was suspended by his ZIFA executive committee colleagues after a board meeting on 16 January 2019 exactly a month after winning the ZIFA vice presidency.

He was accused of reshuffling the senior national team’s technical staff unilaterally without engaging the executive.

Banda had removed then assistant coaches Rahman Gumbo and Lloyd Mutasa, replacing them with Tonderayi Ndiraya and Bongani Mafu respectively.

The decision to revoke the mandate of the ZIFA board will not likely change FIFA’s stance on the country’s football matters.

FIFA imposed a ban on Zimbabwe after the SRC suspended the ZIFA board and the only way the sanction will be lifted is the reinstatement of Kamambo and his board.

A letter sent by FIFA to local football authorities on Friday, a day before the holding of the Extraordinary General Meeting, read:

We refer to the aforementioned EGM notice. As discussed in the past weeks, it is important that in the context of the aforementioned EGM, the ZIFA members and delegates understand fully the decision of the FIFA Council taken on 24 February 2022 (as attached hereto).

Especially, they shall be reminded of the cumulative conditions imposed by FIFA Council in order for the ZIFA suspension to be lifted, including confirmation to FIFA that ZIFA and its management led by President Kamambo and GS Mamutse is back under their full and unconditional control.

We trust this is of help and wish you a nice day.

Police Bomb Mandava Stadium FC, Bosso Match, With Teargas

Highlanders . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (1) 1

(Match abandoned in the 84th minute)

Police officers used tesrgas to bomb the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between FC Platinum and Highlanders yesterday.

The match was sabotated when it was abandoned after 84 minutes amid chaotic scenes resulting in police firing teargas into Mandava Stadium’s stands.

FC Platinum and Highlanders were deadlocked when Albinos Zigwati raised his flag to signal that the coming together between Highlanders defender Peter Muduhwa and FC Platinum substitute Walter Musona was a free kick in favour of the home team which saw referee Kuzivamwari Jaravaza point to the spot.

This resulted in a lengthy stoppage as Highlanders players protested the decision. Bosso supporters joined in as they invaded the pitch before they were cleared by the police. Just when things appeared to be getting back to normal, police threw teargas and there was mayhem as fans started running in all directions, with players also affected by the tear smoke.

Bosso fans had already been agitated by decisions made by referee Jaravaza and first assistant referee Michael Ncube which led to tempers boiling at that point when the disputable penalty was awarded. Video footage from our television station, Zimpapers Television Network showed that the contact between the two players occurred outside the box.

In the first-half, Devine Mhindirira gave Highlanders the lead in the eighth minute. Some industrious work by Lynoth Chikuhwa saw the striker send the ball into the box where Stanley Ngala laid it for an unmarked Mhindirira to plant it past goalkeeper Petros Mhari.

A defensive blunder by Highlanders gave FC Platinum an opportunity to equalise in the 15th minute, Juan Mutudza beating Ariel Sibanda on the far post. FC Platinum dominated second half proceedings but did not do much with the ball possession. The PSL is now expected to make a decision on the abandoned match.

July Moyo Loses Another High Court Case

The Local Government minister July Moyo has been forced to reinstate six traditional leaders after they challenged their unceremonious dismissal at the High Court.

July-Moyo

Member Mutinha, Patrick Manjonjo, Aleck Munava, Morgan Gora, Nobo Mahobho and Taurai Machipisa of Ward 17 in Hurungwe District in Mashonaland West province were ‘unfairly’ dismissed by Chief Nyamhunga born Boniface Chinehasha between April and May 2015.

They were also stripped of their entitlements and replaced by Emmanuel Mutinha, Clever Hwenda, Insuarance Kapamara, Simbarashe Kaponda, Dzumbunu Paratema and Pasipanodya Manjonjo.

Attempts by the village heads to have their dismissal reversed hit a brick wall after the Local Government ministry through the Hurungwe West district Administrator’s office, now district development co-ordinator (DDC), said their positions had been filled and benefits were withdrawn.

They approached the High Court and were represented by Webster Jiti of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) as they challenged their dismissal without any charges or disciplinary hearing.

In the application, the village heads argued that they had complied with the provisions of Section 281 of the constitution, which provides that traditional leaders should not “act in a partisan manner or further the interest of a political party or cause.”

The matter has not been heard at the High Court.

But the Local Government ministry through permanent secretary Zvinechimwe Churu has reinstated the traditional leaders after he acknowledged that they had been unfairly dismissed in terms of the provisions of the Traditional Leadership Act.

In his letter, Churu through a ministry official one E. Chitombo ordered the district development coordinator to process payment of the village heads’ monthly allowances.

The ruling Zanu PF is accused of abusing its power to manipulate traditional leaders to help it during election campaigns.

Traditional leaders such as chiefs and headmen are forced to tow the party line and those that resist are dethroned like what happened to Chief Nhlanhlayamangwe Ndiweni of Ntabazinduna. —Standard

Warriors Number One Fan Stuck In Yaounde

Warriors cheerleader Alvin ‘Aluvah’ Zhakata is reportedly still stuck in Yaounde, Cameroon, two months after the Afcon 2021 finals ended.

Soccer24 exlclusively reported in February that the lanky fan was facing arrest, after failing to settle hotel bills at Arena Hotel in Yaounde.

Sports News Africa, a publication which covers African sport, is now reporting that Zhakata is stranded in Cameroon, where is homeless, helpless and in ‘precarious health’.

“I’m exhausted. I’m getting depressed. God only knows if I will return to my country alive,” he was quoted as saying by the publication.

“The situation is very difficult. I feel my strength failing me. I pray every day to be able to go home,” he added.

Aluvah travelled to Cameroon to cheer the Warriors at Afcon 2021 but chose to remain behind to watch the rest of the tournament after Norman Mapeza’s charges were eliminated.

He was supposed to return home on February 2, but only learnt upon arrival at the airport that a penalty of €387 had to be paid first before he could be allowed to leave.

He is now owing Arena Hotel a €1500 in total, after his unpaid bill accumulated interest.- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Impact Of Air Pollution

Almost the entire global population (99%) breathes air that exceeds WHO air quality limits, and threatens their health.

A record number of over 6000 cities in 117 countries are now monitoring air quality, but the people living in them are still breathing unhealthy levels of fine particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide, with people in low and middle-income countries suffering the highest exposures.

The findings have prompted the World Health Organization to highlight the importance of curbing fossil fuel use and taking other tangible steps to reduce air pollution levels.

Released in the lead-up to World Health Day, which this year celebrates the theme Our planet, our health, the 2022 update of the World Health Organization’s air quality database introduces, for the first time, ground measurements of annual mean concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), a common urban pollutant and precursor of particulate matter and ozone. It also includes measurements of particulate matter with diameters equal or smaller than 10 μm (PM10) or 2.5 μm (PM2.5). Both groups of pollutants originate mainly from human activities related to fossil fuel combustion.

The new air quality database is the most extensive yet in its coverage of air pollution exposure on the ground.

Some 2,000 more cities/human settlements are now recording ground monitoring data for particulate matter – PM10 and/or PM2.5 – than the last update. This marks an almost 6-fold rise in reporting since the database was launched in 2011.

Meanwhile, the evidence base for the damage air pollution does to the human body has been growing rapidly and points to significant harm caused by even low levels of many air pollutants.

Particulate matter, especially PM2.5, is capable of penetrating deep into the lungs and entering the bloodstream, causing cardiovascular, cerebrovascular (stroke) and respiratory impacts.

There is emerging evidence that particulate matter impacts other organs and causes other diseases as well.

NO2 is associated with respiratory diseases, particularly asthma, leading to respiratory symptoms (such as coughing, wheezing or difficulty breathing), hospital admissions and visits to emergency rooms

WHO last year revised its Air Quality Guidelines, making them more stringent in an effort to help countries better evaluate the healthiness of their own air.

“Current energy concerns highlight the importance of speeding up the transition to cleaner, healthier energy systems,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. “High fossil fuel prices, energy security, and the urgency of addressing the twin health challenges of air pollution and climate change, underscore the pressing need to move faster towards a world that is much less dependent on fossil fuels.”

Steps governments can take to improve air quality and health
A number of governments are taking steps to improve air quality, but WHO is calling for a rapid intensification of actions to:

adopt or revise and implement national air quality standards according to the latest

WHO Air Quality Guidelines;
monitor air quality and identify sources of air pollution;
support the transition to exclusive use of clean household energy for cooking, heating and lighting;
build safe and affordable public transport systems and pedestrian- and cycle-friendly networks;
implement stricter vehicle emissions and efficiency standards; and enforce mandatory inspection and maintenance for vehicles;
invest in energy-efficient housing and power generation;
improve industry and municipal waste management;
reduce agricultural waste incineration, forest fires and certain agro-forestry activities (e.g. charcoal production); and
include air pollution in curricula for health professionals and providing tools for the health sector to engage.

WHO’s Air Quality Guidelines

The evidence base for the harm caused by air pollution has been growing rapidly and points to significant harm caused by even low levels of many air pollutants. Last year, the WHO responded by revising its Air Quality Guidelines to reflect the evidence, making them more stringent, especially for PM and NO2, a move strongly supported by the health community, medical associations and patient organizations.

The 2022 database aims to monitor the state of the world’s air and feeds into progress tracking of the Sustainable Development Goals.

BREAKING: Marry Chiwenga Conviction Unbundled In Exclusive Interview

Marry Chiwenga’s maid exposed for lying about alleged crime that got VP’s ex wife convicted.

Komichi Says MPs Are Now Beggars

By A Correspondent- MDC Alliance senator and MDC-T chairman Morgen Komichi said that members of Parliament are living in abject poverty and it won’t be a surprise to see some of them “begging in the streets.”

Speaking to The NewsHawks this week, Komichi also lamented the salaries being earned by civil servants saying there is no hope anymore for Zimbabweans under a ZANU PF-led Government. Said Komichi:

If you see an MP’s payslip, you will cry. It will not be surprising to see MPs begging in the streets.

Their salaries and allowances are just as good as that of a teacher; there is nothing.

Look at all civil servants, look at the soldiers, the police and all, it shows there is no capacity by this government to sustain its citizens. There is no hope anymore.

The (black market) rate is now ZW$360 and how can civil servants survive, how can people survive?

They have failed to run this country, people are angry and starving.

Komichi said the only way to solve the country’s economic challenges is by having an all-inclusive dialogue rather than a winner-take-all approach.

Teachers embarked on strike action when the first term commenced in February, demanding the restoration of their pre-October 2018 salaries pegged at US$540.

The Government rejected the request and instead, offered its workers a paltry pay rise which still falls far below the Poverty Datum Line.

Health Sector’s Future Looks Gloomy

By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development has said the future of the health sector looks gloomy and the government must make efforts to address the crisis.

“Comparatively, the regional key health indicators paint a gloomy picture of Zimbabwe’s health status compared to her neighbours. The clearest indicator of the health crisis in Zimbabwe is the ‘maternalmortality ratio per 100 000 live births’:458 children are dying compared to119 in South Africa,” Zimcodd said.

“All the other countries are better ranked on all indicators except Zambia which is the least ranked on ‘nursing and midwifery personnel density’ and under five mortality rate’.  Of concern is the ‘medical doctors per 10 000population’ which is around 50% less compared to neighbours Botswana and Namibia and lesser by 75% of neighbours South Africa and Zambia.

Zimcodd said in the same vein, ‘nursing & midwifery personnel density per 1 000population’ is less than that inBotswana and Namibia by 50% and lesser than that in South Africa by almost 78%.

“The continued industrial action by health personnel due to incapacitation worsens the prospects of improved health care provision for the poor. To this end, in Zimbabwe the health status is compromised as evidenced by a decline of most poverty sensitive health indicators,” Zimcodd said.

“The indicators show the poor health delivery system in Zimbabwe compared to other countries in the region. The failure of the government to quell industrial action in the health sector for many years and the lack of basic drugs has worsened the plight of the vulnerable hence the poor health indicators.”

“We Are Not Harbouring A Fugitive”: Ramaphosa Speaks On Ian Khama

By A Correspondent- South African President Cyril Ramaphosa says his country is not seen as habouring a fugitive after former Botswana President Seretse Khama Ian Khama has been holed up in the neighbouring country since November 2021 saying he fears persecution, even assassination, by his successor should he return home.

communique

Ramaphosa said his counterpart President Mokgweetsi Masisi, who is on a state visit to South Africa, told him that charges have been preferred against former President Ian Khama but South Africa is not harboring any fugitive because Khama is in the country on a private state visit and not as an asylum seeker.

Khama was summoned to appear in court on Thursday in connection with unlawful possession of firearms. The case is said to have happened in 2016.

Mnangagwa Threatens Name Droppers

By- Zanu PF has warned party members in the habit of using Emmerson Mnangagwa’s name to aid their criminal activities that they will be punished.
Speaking after the 118th Session of the Zanu PF Central Committee at the party’s headquarters in Harare, party commissar Mike Bimha, who was standing in for the party’s spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa, said:
There are a number of party members who move around threatening members of the public, that is an issue which will end up with tough measures being taken against those people.

Zanu PF Director-General, Dickson Dzora, said the issue of “name dropping” has become problematic within party structures. Said Dzora:
We look forward to members of the party upholding the position taken by the leadership. It has become a problem within the structures of the party.
The directive is now coming from the top leadership of the party.
Disciplinary measures will be taken against all such members who are in the habit of name dropping.
Name dropping is the act of trying to impress someone by saying the names of well-known people that you know or have met.

Nkayi Man Killed In S.A

By A Correspondent- A man from Nkayi was last Tuesday killed by a mob in South Africa for allegedly attempting to hijack a car on Allandale Road near Chloorkop open field.

His other two accomplices managed to flee from the scene.

Limukani Ndikinya Ndebele is said to have got behind the wheel of the car they were trying to hijack but he failed to start the car and as a result other motorists, who had seen what was happening, pounced on him.

Seeing that Limukani was in trouble, his accomplices drove away, leaving him at the mercy of the mob.

Limukani is said to have tried to flee on foot but the mob caught him and severely beat him.

He was later found in an open space with an open wound in his head and a broken arm.

The now deceased was trying to hijack a car with his two friends but they failed to do so because the mob started fighting them, his two friends used their car to escape from the scene while he tried taking the victim’s car to escape using it.

“He failed to start the engine and the mob chased him and he was found dead,” said Sergeant Dipelo Moremi of the Rabie Ridge South African Police Services.

He revealed that the police were hunting for the escaped accomplices.

The motorist, who survived the hijack, positively identified Limukani.

“I still don’t believe that my brother is gone just like that. It’s like a dream to me. We are yet to make arrangements for his burial. We were held up by the Easter holidays,” said his sister Nomazulu Ndebele.

UZ Law Student Rewrites A Level, Scores 25 Points

By A Correspondent- A 22 year old Law student at the University of Zimbabwe decided to retake Advanced Level examinations in order to better understand the challenges faced by learners since the introduction of the new curriculum by becoming one of them.

Mboneni Ngwenya finished high school in 2017 and got enrolled into UZ law school in 2018.

He recently got his second A level results which he passed with 25 points in six subjects – Ndebele, History, Family and Religious Studies, Geography, Biology and Chemistry. Said Ngwenya:

I have always been interested in understanding what young people go through, especially those still in school and recently, many have been complaining and seemed to be facing hardships in keeping up with the new curriculum.

Now I have better knowledge of how high school feels like nowadays and it will be easier for me to suggest ways to ease the pressure on the students and also make sure the pass rate keeps improving as well.

Meanwhile, parents and guardians under the Our Zimbabwe campaign recently petitioned Parliament to have the new curriculum suspended, saying it is expensive and its implementation was rushed.

Parents are opposed to the Continuous Assessment Learning Activity (CALA), and projects where learners are asked to do many projects per term which are deemed too expensive.

Two Shot Dead At Elvis Nyathi’s Murder Spot

By- Community leaders in South Africa’s volatile Diepsloot township have absolved Zimbabweans in the shooting to death of two people in the area on Friday.

In a statement, councillors Julius Maake of Ward 95 and Abraham Mabuke of Ward 113 said the two victims were shot by known assailants who are South Africans. Read the statement:
We can confirm that 3 people got shot by known people. 2 died on the scene and the 3rd one sustained injuries. The third person was transported to the hospital for treatment under police guard.
It is important to inform the community that this incident has nothing to do with foreign nationals. Police are following positive leads that will end in arrests.
We are therefore appealing to our community members together with all leaders to give space for law enforcement agencies to deal with this matter without any interference.

In due course, a report will be given. Working together we can build a better society.
The shootings occurred just over two weeks after Zimbabwean domestic worker Elvis Nyathi was killed by a vigilante group in Diepsloot.
Nyathi was abducted, tortured and killed in cold blood before his body was set on fire by the assailants.
Seven suspects appeared in court on Friday facing charges of murder, attempted murder, assault with intent to cause bodily harm and abduction.

They were all remanded in custody to Monday next week.

Armed Robbers Pounce On Urinating Motorist

By- The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating a robbery case in which a motorist was robbed of his car along Chitungwiza road in broad daylight.
In a statement, ZRP said the motorist was relieving himself when the two robbers approached him and produced an unidentified pistol.
Reads the statement:
On 21/04/22 at around 1300 hours, a motorist driving a Honda Fit vehicle along Chitungwiza Road lost US$ 2 500 cash and other valuables all valued at US$3 000 after parking the vehicle near Zororo Cemetery to relieve himself.
Two unknown male suspects emerged from the tall grass and threatened the complainant with an unidentified pistol before handcuffing him. The suspects took control of the vehicle and later left the victim locked inside his car after undressing him and taking away the clothes.

Mwonzora Accused Of Influencing Mafume Suspension

By- MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora has been accused of working with Zanu PF to fight Harare Mayor, Jacob Mafume.

Mafume is a senior member of the Nelson Chamisa led Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party.

CCC said Mwonzora was working with Zanu PF to stop Mafume from heading the Town House.

This was said by Mafume himself in Harare.

Flanked by CCC deputy spokesperson Ostallos Siziba at a presser this today, Mafume said the ruling Zanu PF was working in connivance with opposition MDC-T led by Senator Douglas Mwonzorar to promote corruption and fatten the pockets of some political elites.

He said CCC members were chosen to serve the people and they can do that when they are on committees, not by being “spectators.”

He said they will challenge the decree.

South African Mob Murders Another Zim Man

By- Limukani Ndikinya Ndebele from Nkayi was on Tuesday killed by a mob in South Africa for allegedly attempting to hijack a car on Allandale Road near Chloorkop open field.

His other two accomplices managed to flee from the scene.

Ndikinya Ndebele is said to have got behind the wheel of the car they were trying to hijack but he failed to start the car and as a result other motorists, who had seen what was happening, pounced on him.
Seeing that Limukani was in trouble, his accomplices drove away, leaving him at the mercy of the mob.
Limukani is said to have tried to flee on foot but the mob caught him and severely beat him.
He was later found in an open space with an open wound in his head and a broken arm.
“The now deceased was trying to hijack a car with his two friends but they failed to do so because the mob started fighting them, his two friends used their car to escape from the scene while he tried taking the victim’s car to escape using it.

Ramaphosa Letter from King Mzilikazi – FULL UNEDITED LETTER

OPEN LETTER TO:

HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT CYRIL RAMAPHOSA, PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

The xenophobic mood and events in your lovely Republic of South Africa in the recent years have been continuously on the rise and with fatal consequences to say the least.

Cyril-Ramaphosa

The unfortunate reality however Mr President Sir, is that this sad situation is clearly far from ending. This is not an easy challenge and I genuinely empathize with you. While I totally deplore xenophobia as devilish and shallow, I also understand where your citizens are coming from. Every country has limited resources and opportunities at any given time and it is the roll of every country’s governing authorities to plan and manage them as equitably as possible for all its citizens and for future generations. And generally all human beings are uncomfortable and fearful when overwhelmed by foreign influence. If this fear is not managed and allayed, no one can tell as to what all the frustrations coupled with misinformation will lead to.

Mr Elvis Nyathi, the man who recently suffered and died a sad and barbaric death in the hands of a very determined South African mob, as many others stood approving, was a Matebele/ Ndebele. He was a citizen of the Royal Mthwakazi Kingdom alias Matebeleland. The primary reason why Mr Nyathi was in South Africa, whether legally or not, just as many of our people are, is because, he was a man without a country. All the original citizens of Matebeleland are stateless and were rendered so by the British in 1893. They later handed us over to their proxy, the Zimbabwe Shona Government who treated us in the exact manner you treated Mr Elvis Nyathi and more. The only difference was that they did it at a large scale during the Gukurahundi Genocide of Matebeleland of the 1980s. This genocide still continues covertly to this day and is far from over unless stopped. In 2017 to 2018 we suffered a lot of Zimbabwean police harassment, beatings, unlawful incarcerations, frustrations and direct threats to human life. I personally had to abandon holding Mthwakazi festivals and calling public meetings fearing for the safety of my people, despite the fact that the meetings were always peaceful. It is my experience that threats from this government are seldom empty.

I am currently engaged in a very slow process of bringing the true architects of our troubles, the British, to table. The speed is affected by the continued display of colonial arrogance.

So, on behalf of my people of the Royal Kingdom of Mthwakazi alias Matebeleland, I am humbly requesting for a sincere meeting with you Mr President, with a view of coming up with a lasting solution to this unfortunate situation which has its roots wholly bedded in colonialism. The people of Mthwakazi have a right to statehood and freedom as seen in the Royal Charter of the Royal Kingdom of Mthwakazi, whose excerpts are hereby attached together with an Article from The New York Times of 1918. They also now have an authentic, wise and caring leader as shown in the same Charter, HRM King Mzilikazi II.

I would like to sincerely warn that if the strategy remains that of political correctness with the Zimbabwean government or that of instilling fear to my people of Mthwakazi, I am genuinely afraid, it would appear to me, that you still have many more of my people to burn alive. My statement is not born of any arrogance, but considering the two evils, they will consider yours as at least tolerable. The reality is, you are dealing with a people without a state.

And if your approach to corruption and governance is truly that of ruthless justice as viewed from a distance, I am confident that you and l will meet and resolve issues. After all we have a shared history, Ubuntu and African wisdom on our side. On our part as Mthwakazi, we have demonstrated our commitment to peace even at the expense of our own lives.

God bless Mr President.

Autographed and acknowledged on this 12th day of April 2022 in Bulawayo.

Mnangagwa Regime Is An Incorrigible Regime, Says Biti

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) deputy leader, Tendai Biti, has condemned the attempted abduction of party activist Makomborero Haruzivishe.

Biti denounced the Monday night attack saying President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration does not respect human rights.

“The latest attempt to kidnap Makomborero Haruzivishe is proof beyond reasonable doubt that the Mnangagwa regime is an incorrigible regime with no respect of human rights.

“It will never reconcile itself to the vision of a stable, peaceful, united, democratic, free Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe we all want,” Biti said.

Unidentified men purporting to be police officers in plain clothes reportedly approached Haruzivishe, manhandled and cuffed him, trying to arrest him.

Haruzivishe was saved by members of the public.

In a Facebook live video, the activist is heard resisting the would-be abductors and demanding to see the men’s identity documents.

“What have I done, what is my crime, why are you arresting me? Show us your ID, I am not going anywhere,” he is heard shouting.

Haruzivishe later added on Twitter; “Just finished another appearance in court today.

“We are law abiding, we are attending courts and reporting to the police as per the dictates of the courts of the oppressor. However, I disagree with them.

“So, I do not understand why I was attacked in a clear abduction attempt yesterday.”

Haruzivishe spent 10 months and 22 days in prison last year.

He was being accused of inciting public violence after he staged a demonstration in Harare last year and was also facing  several other criminal charges.

Video Makandiwa Deleted Of Mnangagwa Fake Poison Prophecy

By A Correspondent | The below is the video of the controversial preacher Emmanuel Makandiwa as he uttered the fake prophecy that propelled Emmerson Mnangagwa to Presidency having deceived the military that he was nearly assassinated by Robert Mugabe’s G40 faction.

In the April 9 2017 footage, Makandiwa announces “I see someone in authority, who is loyal to a higher office, swallowing poison through food and vomiting blood and rushed to the hospital and only prayer can save him,” Makandiwa said in an April recorded video, which he showed to his congregants yesterday. Prophet Makandiwa Prophesied Mnangagwa’s Food Poisoning Incident UFIC spokesperson Prime Kufa confirmed the prophecy, saying: “Yes the video was played, re-living the service of the 9th of April wherein the man of God spoke about the need to pray for a prominent politician because he was seeing something entering his stomach causing him to vomit – food first and then blood and ending up in hospital. Though the man of God did not mention any names, you need to watch the footage in order to come up with your own interpretation.”

Police Hunt For Culprits Who mounted An Illegal Tollgate in Zhombe

Police are hunting for three unknown men who mounted an illegal toll gate on a strip road near Sidhakeni Business Centre in Zhombe before they started collecting toll fees from motorists and those with scotch carts.

The three then vanished from the scene after they stabbed two of their “potential clients” for refusing to pay a $10 toll fee for their ox-drawn scotch cart.

Midlands Provincial police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, who confirmed the incident which occurred last Sunday, said the two victims were now nursing injuries at Kadoma District Hospital.

“Circumstances are that Aleck Mahembe(21) and James Wengesai(23) of Chief Samambwa Zhombe were driving an ox-drawn cart when they were stopped by three unknown men who demanded a passage fee of $10.

“The two refused to pay the $10 and the three men turned violent and one of them drew a knife which he used to stab the two all over their bodies,” said Insp Mahoko.

He said the police later attended to the scene and the two were rushed to Kadoma District Hospital.

UK Tells Its Citizens Zim Could Be Attacked By Terrorists

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has on its official website told its citizens travelling to Zimbabwe that they should not rule out terrorists attack in the country because of the hostility towards Britain over conflicts in the Middle East.

An advise on the website says, “Although there’s no recent history of terrorism in Zimbabwe, attacks can’t be ruled out. UK Counter Terrorism Policing has information and advice on staying safe abroad and what to do in the event of a terrorist attack.

“There’s a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals, from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time.”

However, World data says the risk of terrorist attacks in Zimbabwe over the past years can be classified as almost insignificant.

Over the past 5 years a total number of 6 terrorist incidents has been recorded, in which 2 people have been injured. However, there were no deaths, world data says.

Parly Speaker Says Securocrats A Threat To Zim Resources

Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda yesterday said parliamentary oversight should focus on national security matters to prevent abuse of power by securocrats.

Addressing students at the National Defence University in Harare on Parliament’s role, Mudenda said in the absence of parliamentary oversight role “there is a danger of security services misinterpreting their mission and acting like a State within a State, either placing a heavy strain on scarce resources or exerting excessive political and economic influence”.

Urging the country’s security institutions to act constitutionally in the national interest Mudenda said: “To bolster national security expansively, Parliament’s oversight role must focus on the multifaceted phenomenon of security such as national food security, health security, socio-economic security, environmental security and human security which are predicated on the respect of religious observance of human rights and freedoms within the government matrix.

“Effectively parliamentary oversight has thus become all the more critical to ensure that these responses are devised and implemented with full transparency and accountability.”

He said Parliament’s role in contributing to national security should remain sustainable and endure on the tenets of constitutionalism and rule of law.

“Where these legal tenets are flouted with impunity, the result is a skewed national security environment whose consequence is inevitable catastrophic disorder.

“The rule of law is a tenet that attempts to protect the inalienable right of citizens from arbitrary and abusive use of State power and force by those who have formed themselves into an oligarchy, the fertile ground for national security,” Mudenda said, adding that the parliamentary oversight included detecting and preventing abuse, arbitrary governance or illegal, unconstitutional conduct by the government and public agencies that may threaten national security.

“It must insist on the prudential use of allocated resources to government and its public agencies, thus it can improve the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of government operations in the national interests and security,” the Speaker said while urging extensive research and inclusivity on Bills brought before Parliament so that the laws pass the test of legal legitimacy and also promote national security.

Zanu PF Tightening Authoritarian Capabilities Ahead Of 2023

Zanu PF party is tightening its “authoritarian capabilities” ahead of the 2023 elections to prevent a humiliating electoral defeat to the opposition, a local non-governmental organisation has claimed.

After the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) won 19 of the 28 contested Parliamentary seats in by-elections held two months after its formation, Zimbabwe Democracy Institute (ZDI) says the ruling party was staring at the possibility of losing the general elections expected next year.

CCC also garnered 75 out of the 122 local authority seats while Zanu PF won the remainder.

ZDI’s latest report titled: Deterrent of the Zambian Precedent in Zimbabwe suggests that the opposition victory in Zambia’s elections last year was a wake-up call for Zanu PF.

“The electoral defeat of the ruling party in Zambia in 2021 has triggered the Zanu PF elite to intensify the building and strengthening of authoritarian

capability and resilience infrastructure. The current political economy has, therefore, been characterised by the deployment of strategies to deter the 2021 Zambian precedent and boost the Zanu PF regime’s staying power beyond 2023,” ZDI said.

“Zimbabwe is conceptualised as a competitive authoritarian regime that is neither in transition towards democratic breakthrough nor towards absolute autocracy. It is a deliberate mid-way regime with strong institutional safeguards to keep the system neither a democracy nor an absolute autocracy.”

ZDI said during its research, it established that the military was involved in the transition and electoral processes directly through deployment to suppress opposition mobilisation, deployment to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec), and indirectly through Zanu PF.

“The centre of gravity in Zimbabwe’s competitive authoritarian regime is the military elite captured Zanu PF manipulating key democracy institutions, mainly Judiciary and Legislature, media and Zec. The capture of Zanu PF is historical and philosophical as it is heavily ring-fenced by four interrelated philosophical narratives that have made military involvement in electoral and transitional processes a practicable and inexorable culture in Zimbabwe.”

It said the feature of transition in Zimbabwe could not be thought of or conceptualised without paying attention to the role of the security forces in that transition, adding that Mnangagwa’s government had built its authoritarian resilience infrastructure.

Yesterday while addressing the ordinary session of the Zanu PF politburo and the central committee, Mnangagwa said his party structures from the grassroots were strong enough to ensure electoral victory in 2023.

“The growth of our support base in urban areas is on the right track, let us deploy responsive and people-centred multi-pronged mobilisation strategies to endear the urbanites. The various strategies must translate to Zanu PF votes at the 2023 harmonised general elections,” Mnangagwa said yesterday.

Political analyst Prolific Mataruse said: “The economy continues to cause headaches for policymakers in Zimbabwe and it’s correct for analysts to observe that the Zanu PF government is being restive, especially given a restless population.”

Another analyst Methuseli Moyo said: “President Mnangagwa himself has said that what happened in Zambia could not happen here. That declaration means he is determined to prevent it from happening, which is not wrong by the way. What would be wrong is to use foul means to achieve that objective.”

South African Hospitals Shut Out Zimbabweans

Pregnant Zimbabwean women, who had resorted to using South African health facilities to get cheaper services, may need to find other alternatives as hospitals in the neighbouring country are allegedly hiking fees for foreigners.

South Africa’s health institutions feel that foreigners are taking up too much space at their institutions.

The Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria, which has been one of the favourites for Zimbabwean women, has reportedly significantly hiked its fees.

For a bed only, one now has to fork out over R2 300 a day and R8 542 for a normal delivery. If it is a Caesarean delivery, the fee is now a whooping R11 603.

Last month, South African Home Affairs minister Aaron Motsoaledi expressed concern over an influx of illegal migrants at the country’s maternity hospitals.

Motsoaledi sensationally claimed that at Musina Hospital in Limpopo province, 70% of women giving birth there were Zimbabwean nationals.

“If you go to Musina Hospital now, and to the labour ward, and I challenge you to do so, you will find that 70% of the women who are delivering there are from Zimbabwe — nobody stops them. And, when we arrest people, we are not arresting them for coming to South Africa. We are saying they must come officially and I want to emphasize that,” he said while addressing the media recently.

Desperate Zimbabwean women cross into to the neighbouring country as local health facilities have fallen apart and have inadequate equipment and drugs.

ED Pfee Hitmaker Accused Of Leading Violence Against CCC Members

By A Correspondent| A local human rights organisation Heal Zimbabwe Trust has accused Admire Sanyanga Sibanda popularly known for his Zanu PF 2018 election jingle ED Pfee of orchestrating violence against opposition supporters in Mberengwa.

Sanyanga popularly known as Chief Shumba is accused of leading a Zanu PF thugs who reportedly assaulted opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) members at Mataga business centre.

“Chief Shumba, real name Admire Sanyanga Sibanda is leading a violent campaign against @CCCZimbabwe members in Mberengwa. On 10 April 2022, Chief Shumba and several @ZANUPF_Official members assaulted a @CCCZimbabwe member at Mataga Business center,” said Heal Zimbabwe Trust.

CCC confirmed Chief Shumba’s violent activities accusing him of attacking one of their members

Soldier Fired, Fleeing Disciplinary

A former Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Director Ordinance, Colonel Shakeman Terrence Chizengwe, walked out of service empty-handed after he refused to go through disciplinary hearing.
Chizengwe opted to retire without terminal benefits after years of service to avoid General Court Martial.

However, facts regarding his dismissal remain unknown.

At law, he had two options, to go through prosecution or to retire without benefits.

His bosses say Chizengwe chose to retire without benefits after the former colonel filed a High Court application insisting that he had rights to pension.

But in his opposing application, Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) commander General Philip Valerio Sibanda dismissed Chizengwe’s demands for a pension.

“Sight must not be lost of the fact that this matter is borne out of Chizengwe’s acts of misconduct … More curiously, he does not deny that he was facing credible allegations of misconduct,” Sibanda submitted.

“He does not deny that the recommendation that he be subjected to a General Court Martial trial was justified.

He has no problem with the fact that the proceedings were held in confidence, which thus protects his integrity through non-disclosure of the facts and allegations forming charges of misconduct he was facing.”

According to Sibanda, Chizengwe was offered an extension of six months in employment if he wished to undergo a court martial.

“He declined that offer,” the army boss said. “All he is prepared to do is to have the decision of March 1, 2021 impugned and its consequences set aside for his pecuniary benefit.”

Chizengwe had told the High court that he was forced to retire under duress. —Newsday

Change Is Upon Us

Tinashe Sambiri|Zimbabwe Republic Police boss Gideon Matanga faces a contempt of court charge after refusing to reinstate ZRP cop Sikhatazile Moyo.

Moyo appealed to the High Court and had her dismissal reversed.

However, Matanga has defied the court order.

Commenting on the matter, Chief Nhlanhlayamangwe Felix Ndiweni said:

“The ZRP sacks Constable Sikhathazile Moyo. She appeals to the High Court and wins her job back in 2020. It was a Court Order to reinstate her. ZRP Commissioner Godwin Matanga refuses. High Cour now says that is Contempt of Court do it or 90 days in jail. THIS IS THE POLICE ZRP.”

According to Chief Ndiweni, change is unavoidable:

“It is exceedingly unrealistic to expect Zanu PF gov to continue endlessly. That is abnormality. Change is the base law of everything. Including Zanu PF. No matter how much some people may reject the idea. But Change is coming in 2023. That time of Change has come.

A lot of people in Zimbabwe imagine that their level of anger against the ZANU PF led govt is the same as that of the next person when in fact that is not true! So you think that a man without a single structure anywhere will win the coming elections?

There is no government that has ever predicted it’s own down fall. With hind sight that ruling party will then say, ” yes it was because of such and such”. But to predict it’s removal from power never. But it happens every month somewhere in the world. It’s normal.”

Bring Back Kamambo, FIFA Tells ZIFA

FIFA has reminded the ZIFA councillors that the only way the suspension imposed on Zimbabwe can be lifted, is if the Felton Kamambo-led executive is reinstated.

The councillors are set for tomorrow’s crucial Emergency General Meeting, which could lead to the recalling of the Kamambo-led board, which was suspended by the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) last November.

But 24 hours before the indaba, which will be held in the capital tomorrow, the world governing body has reminded the councillors that the only way the suspension can be lifted, is if Kamambo is reinstated.

“We refer to the aforementioned EGM notice. As discussed in the past weeks, it is important that in the context of the aforementioned EGM, the ZIFA members and delegates understand fully the decision of FIFA Council taken on 24 February 2022 (as attached hereto),” FIFA said in a statement.

“Especially, they shall be reminded of the cumulative conditions imposed by FIFA Council in order for the ZIFA suspension to be lifted, including
“confirmation to FIFA that ZIFA and its management led by President Kamambo and GS Mamutse is back under their full and unconditional control.

Police Threaten To “Bomb ” Delegates At President Chamisa Meeting

Tinashe Sambiri|Overzealous police details on Thursday violently disrupted President Nelson Chamisa’s citizens engagement meeting in Chitungwiza.

The ZRP cops threatened to “bomb” CCC supporters at the venue.

Chinese Deported Over Fraud

LI Changfeng (21), a Chinese man who said that his name was Curtis Li (30), is an apparent fraud who is now awaiting deportation.

Curtis Li

Li, who claimed to had fallen in love with Bulawayo’s Old Luveve suburb, was about a fortnight ago arrested and charged with violating immigration regulations as he was in the country illegally.

He is now awaiting deportation at Khami Prison after he was fined $10 000 by Bulawayo magistrate Mr Gamuchirai Gore.

Li was found guilty of contravening section 36 (1) (h) of the Immigration Act, chapter 4:02 as read in section 23 (1) (b) of the immigration regulations act 1998.

Presenting the case for the State, Mr Sehliselo Khumalo told the court that Li, who was employed by Dongxin Machinery Company, resigned on 4 October last year but did not notify the chief director of immigration.

Mr Khumalo said interest on Li grew after he appeared in The Chronicle on 22 February this year.

“Bulawayo principal immigration officers Ncube and Kuvengwa instituted an investigation, after observing a Chronicle newspaper article indicating that there was a Chinese man who had fallen in love with Luveve suburb,” said Mr Khumalo.

He said on 11 April this year Li was summoned to the immigration offices to present his documents for inspection.

“. . . It was discovered that he had a valid temporary employment permit (00051232), which expires on 26 August 2022. The permit indicated that he was employed by Dongxin Pvt Ltd based in Kadoma. It was then discovered that Li tendered a resignation letter on 4 October 2021,” said Mr Khumalo.

He said Li chose to ignore and neglected to notify immigration officials of developments.

In the article published by this paper in February this year it was stated that Li arrived in Zimbabwe last year.

In the article Li identified himself as Curtis Li (30).

Chinese man, Mr Curtis Li (and picture below)prepares his native food at his home in Old Luveve that he sells to residents in-and-around the suburb. Mr Curtis says he earns a living through the sale of Chinese food that he says sells like “hot cakes”

“When I arrived in Zimbabwe my intention was to live in a small city. So, my first port was in the capital, then Kadoma where I was to do consultancy work for a mining company,” he said in tharticle.

He alleged in the article that he experienced “some issues” and decided to move from Kadoma.

“It was there that I experienced some issues and decided to move. That’s how I came to this beautiful city,” Li said.

He said he had been in touch with a friend, Anele Mhlanga (24), whom he was staying with in Old Luveve.

“He convinced me to visit Bulawayo. At that time, I lived in Kumalo suburb and Ascot before I decided to move to Luveve. I had been visiting Anele at his house together with some of our other friends until I decided to stay in Luveve,” he was reported saying. -Chronicle

What You Need To Know About Air Quality Guidelines

Almost the entire global population (99%) breathes air that exceeds WHO air quality limits, and threatens their health.

A record number of over 6000 cities in 117 countries are now monitoring air quality, but the people living in them are still breathing unhealthy levels of fine particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide, with people in low and middle-income countries suffering the highest exposures.

Shock As Man Kills Wife Over “Infidelity”

A Bindura man has been jailed for 20 years after being convicted of fatally assaulting his girlfriend.

The State alleged that on the 10th of August in 2017, Brian Chikanya of Musana village accused his girlfriend, Sarah Munhu of having an affair with another man. He then proceeded to assault her with a chisel and wooden stool.

The court heard that Chikanya tried to conceal the murder by dragging Munhu’s body to a nearby road to give the impression that the deceased was murdered on her way from a friend’s house.

During his trial, Chikanya claimed that on the day of the incident, Munhu had told him that she was going to see her friend, Sarudzai Chisvo, but got a shock of his life the next morning after she was found dead.

His version was dismissed after the State proved that Chikanya fabricated the statements in order to exonerate himself.

In his ruling, Justice Foroma sent Chikanya to prison for 20 years, emphasising that the sentence will send a correct message to would-be offenders.

Meanwhile, police in Lupane are looking for Rodwell Sibanda (42) in connection with a case of murder that occurred at Mpondo, Lupane on Tuesday. The suspect allegedly struck Prince Dube (27) once on the head with a stone after a misunderstanding over gambling.

In a similar incident, Nhlakanipho Dube (33) is being sought for fatally assaulting his wife Bridget Nyathi (33) with a stick several times all over the body at Farubi Ncube Homestead, Chief Mabhikwa, Lupane on 18/04/22 after allegations of infidelity.- Pindula News

Reads the statement:

ZEC Begs Media To Sanitize Its Operations

By-The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has said that the media should report objectively on its operations.

The plea was made by the commission’s deputy chairperson, Mr Rodney Simukai Kiwa this Friday while addressing a Social Media Conference on Elections.

Kiwa also said elections were a process and not an event hence the need to adequately prepare.

His remarks come when critics and the opposition claim that ZEC has failed to run free, fair and credible elections.

They accuse the commission of conniving with the ruling party to undermine the electoral process hence the need to disband the commission.

Below is the rest of his speech:

I welcome you all to this workshop focussing on social media as one of ZEC’s critical partners and stakeholders in ensuring the delivery of an electoral process whose integrity is beyond reproach. The theme of this workshop is equally Instructive and appropriately demanding: Responsible Social Media Reporting for Free, Fair and Credible Elections.

In this regard, I would like all of us to think 2023 harmonized elections. And to be sure, let us be on the same page about concepts and processes. First, let us be agreed that elections are the means or mechanisms by which people make choices about who should represent and lead them, as well as express preference for given policies. Elections are instruments of legitimation for a body politic. They facilitate changes in leadership from one party to another in a way that is structured, competitive, transparent, and within a legal framework. Secondly, elections are not an event but a continuous process. A cycle if you will.

An ideal electoral cycle would have the following key elements: a legal framework; electoral planning and organized implementation; civic training and education; official voter registration; election campaigning; voting; certified verification of election results; and post-election processes. In this regard think and see ZEC. Our purpose is to insure and ensure electoral integrity. However, in this electoral process, tension is inevitable and perhaps desirable to the extent that it can bring out the best of the contending parties or individuals, but can also bring out the worst.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is now my honor and privilege to declare this Workshop officially open and to wish you fruitful deliberations.

Thank you

This was said by Mafume himself in Harare.

Warriors AFCON Participation Uncertain

The Warriors could be forced to host their home games in the 2023 Afcon Afcon Qualifiers on foreign soil as the Confederation of African Football is set to upheld the ban on all local stadiums.

The National Sports Stadium, which hosted the national team’s previous matches, had its temporary approval expired in November after the final World Cup Qualifier against Ethiopia.

The Harare venue still has red flags in several areas that require attention for it to meet required standards.

ZIFA has just a week to submit the national team’s home venue for the qualifiers but with no suitable facilities to host the matches in the country, the association is now considering moving the games elsewhere.

The FA has already approached its Zambian counterparts to use one of their stadiums.

ZIFA is considering to use Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, which is about 317km north of the capital city Lusaka.

The Warriors were drawn into Group K alongside Morocco, Liberia and COSAFA rivals South Africa.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe will only participate in the qualifiers if they meet FIFA’s demands at least two weeks before the games begin. The country is banned from international football due government interference.

If the ban is not lifted on time, the national side will be eliminated from the competition, leaving South Africa, Morocco and Liberia in Group K.- Soccer24 Zimbabwe

Prophet Makandiwa Did Nothing Wrong In Hosting The President: Mavaza

By Dr Masimba Mavaza | Zimbabwe has been awash with the spiritual events where President Mnangagwa attended church at Prophet Makandiwa’s Chitungwiza temple over the Easter. The messages which were sent by mainly the opposition mouth piece Hopewell Chin’ono and some hangers ons made me get thinking. All of a sudden the opposition are now a Christian outfit who pride themselves in bible truth. They believe that they are the remnant and Chin’ono is one of the People who believe that they are the only ones who must go to church and that they are right truth bearers and everybody is wrong. They now chose who must go to church and who must not. They have given themselves to judge church leaders who accommodate political leaders.

This self righteousness and arrogance is manifestly present in most Self righteous opposition leaders and apologists. The only thing which makes them arrogant is their genuine belief in ignorance.

In his below the belt reunion note  to the Twitter fans Hopewell lamented Makandiwa’s political involvement. He called Makandiwa lost and a false prophet. He appointed himself the judge and labelled the christians in politics as lost and beyond redemption. He was so adamant stubborn and aggressively headstrong in his belief that politics takes christians to hell. He was so brutal and unChristian in his Christian belief.
World wide President’s call upon God during their tenure of service. Americans everyday finish their day by saying God bless United States of America.
In England the queen is the head of church and head of state. Mugabe attended Jahanne Marange Church so did MNANGAGWA and even Tsvangirai.
Politics is often seen as a dirty business. In recent times there have been many scandals that have made the general public apathetic towards the political system.
It’s an interesting and important topic, as politics is a subject that affects all believers, but not one that all believers feel they should be involved in.
In the past the Church and the state had been very much linked, with the Church in charge of issues such as education and healthcare. In the current day this is no longer the case. The rise of the welfare state in the last few centuries has meant that state’s influence has grown and the Church’s impact on these issues has deteriorated. Many secularists would argue that this is the way it should be and that the Church has no place in politics but is this really the case?
Many secularists would argue that the Church has no place in politics.
Are Christian values a form of congenial public discourse and avoid decorating our politics with congenial Bible verses.
The Bible is itself a potential weapon of mass destruction, prone to use, abuse, and misuse. The idolatrous and blasphemous use of the Bible in contemporary politics is immensely destructive to Christianity. Hiding behind “the Bible says it:’ those who employ simplistic citations from the Bible in public discourse are often wrong and disingenuous. The notion of Christian values often works in a similar fashion: a loss of the overreaching Christian narrative leads to a corruption of Christian witness.

But does all this exclude Christians from politics?
Andy Flannagan, a director at Christians in Politics, stated that if “we look at the Bible we see that God has liked to have an input in the governance of a nation. “The books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus are dedicated to a plethora of laws that God passed onto Moses for the people of Israel to abide by. Going back further, in Genesis we are given the example of Joseph, who through his gifts became, in effect, the Prime Minister of Egypt. This is a good example for us, as Egypt was clearly not a nation that revered God, but God allowed Joseph to rise in prominence which made Pharaoh acknowledge ‘the spirit of God’. The same can be applied to today. Whilst we may not be living in a ‘Christian nation’, Christians being involved in politics can still be used to bring godly influence.

Believer’s should join politics so that they may bring Righteous public service governance because righteousness exalt a Nation Sin is a reproach for to all people and territory.

Christians must be in politics to correct some wicked evil errors that politics is a dirty game.
Politics is governance that every believer should involve him or her self to inspire and encourage other Christians to get involved in politics and public life.

The opposition and many of their mind must realise that decisions are made by those who show up.
The leaders of the world in the world swear by the bible or a Holly Koran during swearing in ceremony. This is done so that Church and politics become one. President MNANGAGWA has visited several churches and this is what leaders must always do. The National leaders must unite the nation and the unifying factor is the bible.

The relationship between Christianity and politics is a historically complex subject and a frequent source of disagreement throughout the history of Christianity, as well as in modern politics between the Christian right and Christian left. There have been a wide variety of ways in which thinkers have conceived of the relationship between Christianity and politics, with many arguing that Christianity directly supports a particular political ideology or philosophy. Along these lines, various thinkers have argued for Christian communism, Christian socialism, Christian anarchism, Christian libertarianism, or Christian democracy.

A more extreme view would even been that no good can come from politics, and it is best to avoid it altogether. It turns out that this view is not at all consistent with what the Bible has to teach about politics and governance. Far from urging us to flee from this arena, Scripture shows us that governance can be a force for good, and that it is important for Christians to make their voice heard and counted in the public square.

Right at the very start of the Bible, God gives the creation mandate to Adam and Eve: to go forth into the world, to be fruitful and increase in number, and to have dominion over creation. In God’s good creation it was intended that mankind, created in the image of God, should be the stewards of this creation and give glory to God through increasing the fruitfulness of the planet. To put it another way, good governance was always intended to be a part of creation, whereby the will of mankind and the will of God would not be in opposition to each other, but rather mankind’s will and efforts would reflect God’s own will for the earth to be fruitful. Tragically, it is not very long before this perfect model falls.

Maybe to put Chin’ono’s mind to rest I am not saying that all Christians need to run to be local councillors or MPs. There are some who are called to do this, but others who are called to other activities that you may not even regard as political.

If then opposition is to give to or help their local foodbank in any way, one can argue that they are politically active. Foodbanks are a massive issue for the government at the moment, and by aiding one, you are showing the government that there is a need to help some members of the public further. This form of social activism is very much deep-rooted within politics, and requires Christians to be active to bring about change.

If there is a lot of crime in your area, you shouldn’t be afraid to speak up and ask your local MP what can be done about it. Some may quote the passage – ‘Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord”‘ (Romans 12:19). But there is very much a difference between vengeance and justice, and God is very much concerned with the latter. ‘God tells us we should be concerned with justice remember the apostle Paul pleading his case all the way up to Caesar’. This suggests that being politically active to achieve justice is not wrong, and is not something we should be afraid to do. Hopewell and all those like him must know that praying for those in governance is a form of political activity. Paul urges that – ‘supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.’ (1 Timothy 2:1-2). I would say that this is the absolute minimum. If any form of other political activity is not possible, praying that political leaders would make correct decisions is the one thing that we all have the obligation to do.

Whilst the government may not always do what we believe is best, they have been put in place by God for his purposes. Paul affirms this stating – ‘Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.’ If that is the case, it will be our prayers and involvement in politics that will influence the people that God has put in place, so it is important that we as Christians are active in politics in some form or another.

The key point is to realise that we are involved in politics anyway; we have no choice about being political because if we choose not to engage then it is a vote for the status quo – the way things are.  We must remember that all Christians are politically active whether they realise it or not. But especially when they don’t realise it.

Christians need to be involved because we believe in a God who cares passionately about his world and his creation, and consequently how it is run.  The Bible is hugely political – in that it is about how God wants people to behave and act towards him, and towards each other.  This involves economics and law because these are tools that need to be used to build justice.  So often it is injustice which dominates God’s world and this grieves him.

As believers in God we have much to bring to politics – a deeper commitment to justice and compassion which throughout history has made a difference in the political sphere.
Christians are urged to be involved in their local community –

We must know that our faith is political to the core.
We will no longer say “Christianity is not political.” When we say “Christianity is not political” we are only demonstrating that we are disciples of modern liberalism instead of disciples of Jesus. The primary task of the Christian community is not to be a so-called religious gathering concerned with souls floating off into the afterlife, nor is it to be a sort of spiritualized yoga class helping individuals find existential peace with themselves. The primary task of the church is to embody and bear witness to the end of history, an all-compassing reality that has already broken into the world. The primary task of the church is to be an alternative politic. Jesus was clearly a political figure, calling his followers to a particular politic. His politic was a public claim and a public matter.

President MNANGAGWA is a Christian and a leader. So he can worship his God wherever he wishes. Churches must never close their doors to politicians. Churches are are like hospitals any one who needs deliverance must come in.
Prophet MAKANDIWA and any other church leader must not discriminate congregants because of politics.

We must all know that politics is not evil and Christians in politics must be encouraged. God is the omnipresent and as much as people try to kick him out of politics they fail. God is God and his way of being God is politics.

By Hopewell Chin’ono

Part 2 of 3

In order to facilitate LOOTING of public funds in urban councils, ZANUPF masterminded the destruction of Nelson Chamisa’s old political party in 2020.

They used their political puppet Douglas Mwonzora and Thokozani Khupe to remove elected councillors.

After the #March26 by-elections, July Moyo is now stopping CCC councillors from taking over oversight roles in council including the election of majority mayors in urban councils.

This is to make sure that the LOOTING continues unhindered!

CCC Drags July Moyo To Court Over Move To Block Election Of New Mayors

The Nelson Chamisa led CCC has announced that it is taking the Minister of Local Government July Moyo to court challenging his directive which bars the Councillors from electing new Mayors and Committee Chairpersons after the recently held by-elections.

Moyo has written to the Mayors and Councillors advising them that they do not have power to reconstitute the leadership of any Municipality and Chairpersons of Committees.

“I take this opportunity to remind councils that this was not a general election and as such the sitting Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Chairpersons of Committees and their deputies remain as constituted prior to the By Election.” He said in the memo.

On Friday, Harare mayor Jacob Mafume, told the media that the opposition CCC is filing an urgent court application to challenge Moyo’s “unconstitutional and cruel” actions.

He accused Moyo of obstructing the party’s newly elected councillors in a well-calculated ploy to shield from scrutiny the scandalous deals he allegedly foisted on the City of Harare with the acquiescence of Douglas Mwonzora’s compromised MDC-T councilors.

Meanwhile CCC Spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere has cried foul over the memo saying, “Min July Moyo and Central Govt are trying to stop CCC councillors from taking over councils, council committees and providing service delivery. They’re violating the will of the people who voted overwhelmingly in support of CCC. They must allow CCC to deliver services!”

ZRP Boss Gideon Matanga Faces Contempt Of Court

Mutsvangwa In Hot Soup After Death Horror

Dear Editor.

You may be wondering what’s happening to Information Minister Monica Mutsvangwa. She has touched fire and it won’t end well. The details are from events from days before her grand daughter’s death.

Monica is using her state powers to take over the family house of a dead Mutare couple. Because Monica and Mnangagwa are friends with the ex daughter in law who was divorced off the family, a ZANU PF member, she has gone on to create a fake marriage certificate. Through this, she is forcing her way to seize the house.

But it’s not a walk in the park for criminals. A lot of lawyers have died while trying to give the property to the ex daughter.

On the Monday before her daughter in law died, when Mutsvangwa was pushing the family to vacate the house, that’s when a lot of spiritual reactions happened.

At present Mai Mutsvangwa is quiet over this house, which they want to give to a UK based ZANU PF candidate, Maureen Chikwana.

But it won’t well. Let me get my popcorn.

“Attend To This Nonsense”: Malema To Assist Zim Truck Drivers

EFF leader Julius Malema has instructed the EFF KZN Provincial Chairperson Vusumuzi Khoza to attend to the plight of Zimbabwean truck drivers who have reached out to him seeking remedy which has removed cross border trucks forcing them to be shunting at the Durban port.

The SOS to Malema read:

Sorry boss to disturb you, how are you doing. We are truck drivers from Zimbabwe working on a south african company called MBS carriers. This is a crossborder company but now they took some other trucks to work local and they are forcing us Zimbabweans drivers to take that job again. They are forcing us to do shunting in durban and we are refusing saying employ local people to work on that job. Plz help us and they are forcing us to get to the durban port for shunting. We are not refusing to go to work but we are refusing to take local jobs. Thank you in advance for your favourable response.

Responding to the cry for help, Malema said, “The employer is the biggest problem, not our African brothers and sisters. Commissar @vusumuzikhoza, please attend to this nonsense. Africa we are one.”

Slain Elvis Nyathi’s Children Finally Get Birth Certificates

By A Correspondent- Veteran broadcaster Ezra Tshisa Sibanda has reported that children of the slain Elvis Nyathi have been assisted by government to kick start the process of acquiring birth certificates.

In a Facebook post, Sibanda said:

“Thank you Minister of State, Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Judith Ncube and Bulawayo Registrar’s Office, for your help. The birth certificates of the late Elvis Mbhodazwe Nyathi’s children are being processed.”

Earlier this month Sibanda had identified the following children whom he said have no boirth certificates; Melusi 18, Khumbulani 16, Sindisiwe 14, Mike who is in grade 6.

Sibanda appealed to all well wishers to assist the Nyathi  family in building a home for  them at the Ntabazinduna stand that they own .

My appeal to all of you, lets help build a home for Elvis’s family ASAP. We have seen the stand and it’s there in Ntabazinduna, what is left is just building a house. Together we can do it. Thank you to everybody who contributed towards the funeral.

“We still call upon those who haven’t sent the cash they collected from people on behalf of the family to please contact the family and give them the money for the children. Mrs Elvis’ Zim bank account will be availed soon.”

Nyathi was killed by members of the extremist xenophobic vigilante group Operation Dudula which is supported by some South African ministers and senior ANC leaders.

Woman Murdered Over Misusing Groceries Money

By A Correspondent- A 37 year old Zvishavane woman was last Thursday allegedly murdered by her husband after buying herself a bag using money meant to purchase groceries.

Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko yesterday confirmed the incident, saying the victim was Mavis Wadzogwa of Tagwirei village under Chief Mazvihwa.

Mahoko said the victim was fatally assaulted by her husband following a misunderstanding over the bag.

“She (Wadzogwa) had a misunderstanding with her husband Nobert Mhlanga (36). The husband accused her of misusing money after she bought a bag using savings meant for groceries,” Mahoko said.

Allegations are that Mhlanga assaulted her using a hoe handle and bricks all over the body and left her lying unconscious. Villagers tried to rush Wadzogwa to hospital, but she died on the way.

The matter was reported to the police, resulting in Mhlanga’s arrest.

In another incident, the body of a naked 51-year-old Lower Gweru woman was found last Thursday with deep wounds on the forehead.

“On April 13, 2022, Kesiwe Maketo of Matembeka village under Chief Sogwala in Lower Gweru retired to bed at around 7pm. A neighbour said she last saw her in good condition. The following morning at around 4am, the neighbour went to Maketo’s house and found her lifeless body naked on the floor,” Mahoko said.

“The body had two deep wounds on the forehead and was ferried to Gweru Provincial Hospital, where it awaits post-mortem.”
