Zanu PF won Beitbridge West, Binga North, Bulawayo South, Lupane East, Cowdray Park and Nketa. Tshabangu’s CCC won Lobengula Magwegwe and Mpopoma Mzilikazi.

By- Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) self-imposed interim secretary general Mr Sengezo Tshabangu has said the party will accept the outcome of the by-elections as to the CCC, what was key was seeing democracy at play.
So far, Zanu PF has grabbed three seats, which Nelson Chamisa’s aides won.
Tshabangu told the state media that elections were part of a democratic process which needed to be embraced and acknowledged, especially when the process was conducted in a free and fair set up without anyone being intimidated and coerced into participating. “To us any outcome will be accepted although everyone knows that when you go into any contest, the objective is to win but also everyone knows that in this political game, it’s either you win or lose and you must be prepared to accept especially the losing part. It’s all part of democracy,” said Mr Tshabangu in an interview last night. He said a free a fair election whose outcome was accepted by all participants was all what those who got into the struggle before them always wanted. “These by-elections presented an opportunity for a democracy foundation as we look forward to 2028. We are of course concerned about the reported voter apathy because we know that any voter apathy has always benefited Zanu-PF,” said Mr Tshabangu.
Tshabangu caused tremors within the Zimbabwe body politic when he went on a recalling tirade after the August harmonised elections, which he said were necessitated by how his party conducted it’s selection process for the August 23 elections candidates. -State media
By A Correspondent- A Plumtree man, Mthokozisi Ndebele, is facing legal trouble after being accused of raping a Grade Two pupil at a homestead where he was employed for part-time work.
Ndebele was brought before the Plumtree Magistrates Court on Friday, charged with two counts of rape. During the court appearance before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware, Ndebele was not required to enter a plea.
The court remanded Ndebele in custody until December 12, and he was advised to seek bail from the High Court.
According to Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa, the alleged incidents occurred in October. Ndebele had visited a homestead where the young victim resided, seeking part-time employment. He was assigned the task of fetching firewood. However, on his way, he reportedly dragged the girl into the bush, where he sexually assaulted her. To keep her quiet, he allegedly gave her 100 rands.
This modus operandi was repeated on November 16, and this time the victim confided in her grandmother about the offense. Subsequently, a police report was filed, leading to Ndebele’s arrest.
The case has now been brought before the courts, where Ndebele is facing charges of rape. The court process will continue, with Ndebele set to apply for bail at the High Court.
By James Gwati- Poor voter turnout has hit a series of by-elections orchestrated by CCC impostor Sengezo Tshabangu, with Zanu PF successfully clinching three parliamentary seats, further fueling suspicions of collaboration between Tshabangu and the ruling party to weaken the opposition.
The constituencies of Mabvuku-Tafara, Cowdray Park, and Bulawayo South have all fallen into Zanu PF’s hands, a result of the Nelson Chamisa supporters’ widespread boycott of the by-elections.
Tshabangu Friday donated Mabvuku-Tafara seat to Zanu PF’s Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya.
In Cowdray Park, Zanu PF’s Mujeyi Arthur secured victory with 1,765 votes, defeating Tshabangu’s Vusimuzi Chirwa.
The voter turnout was notably low, with less than 4,000 people casting their votes out of over 20,000 registered voters.
Similarly, in the Bulawayo South Constituency, Zanu PF’s Rajeshkumari Modi emerged victorious with 1,608 votes, dealing a blow to Tshabangu’s candidate Sithole James, while the voter turnout remained disappointingly low.
These by-elections were prompted by Tshabangu’s recall of CCC Members of Parliament (MPs), claiming they were no longer party members.
The CCC has expressed concerns that Tshabangu’s actions may be part of a collaboration with the ruling party, aimed at securing a two-thirds majority in Parliament.
Such a majority would potentially pave the way for smoother amendments to the Constitution, raising questions about the integrity of the democratic process.
By Farai D Hove | Harare, [10 Dec 2023] – Emmerson Mnangagwa on Sunday morning arrived at the infamous Yadah Hotel premises in Harare, home to Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) ministries founder Walter Magaya’s controversial “Heart Stadium,” built from fraud money. The opening ceremony, intended to mark a new chapter in the preacher’s ministry, is overshadowed by persistent allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse against Magaya.
Yadah Hotel, linked to numerous complaints regarding the grooming of young women for sexual exploitation, has been under scrutiny, with Magaya himself acknowledging these activities in a police video recording. Even Defense Minister Oppah Muchinguri’s family has been named, yet President Mnangagwa remains silent on the matter despite the controversies reaching international attention, including the United Nations.
The premises were built using some of the money the preacher scamed investors a few who have been refunded after complaints.
The Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC) reignited investigations last year into the sexual abuse allegations surrounding Magaya. In October 2022, the ZGC announced the resumption of inquiries, inviting submissions from victims of sexual exploitation by the controversial cleric. The investigations had initially received a legal setback in 2019 when the alleged victim withdrew charges against Magaya.
ZGC’s statement read, “The Zimbabwe Gender Commission wishes to advise members of the public that the investigation of the allegations of Sexual Exploitation and abuse of women levelled against Prophet Walter Magaya…has recommenced. We are happy that the courts have given legal judgments…which have paved the way for the continuation of our processes.”
Magaya is accused of raping a female congregant in August 2015, subsequently forcing her to terminate her pregnancy and allegedly silencing her with a $100,000 payout. Despite the victim withdrawing charges, the legal battle continued, with Magaya challenging the prosecution’s legality.
The High Court initially dismissed Magaya’s application, prompting him to seek recourse in the Supreme Court. ZGC was then granted the authority to resume investigations against the preacher, emphasizing the importance of victims coming forward to share their experiences of sexual exploitation and abuse within the denomination.
As President Mnangagwa inaugurates Magaya’s “Heart Stadium,” the cloud of controversy surrounding the preacher’s alleged misconduct looms large, raising questions about the government’s stance on these serious allegations and the impact on the credibility of religious figures in the country.
By James Gwati- Self-imposed CCC Interim Secretary General Tshabangu has handed over three parliamentary seats to Zanu PF in a by-election he triggered.
The latest additions to Zanu PF’s portfolio are Cowdray Park and Bulawayo South, clinched by Zanu PF’s Mujeyi Arthur and Rajeshkumari Modi, respectively. Notably, these victories were secured as supporters of Nelson Chamisa boycotted the by-elections.
On Friday, he donated the Mabvuku-Tafara seat, previously held by CCC, to Zanu PF’s Scott Sakupwanya of the Goldmaffia scandal.
The backdrop for these by-elections was the recall of CCC Members of Parliament (MPs) by Tshabangu, who asserted that they were no longer party members. However, concerns have been raised within the CCC, suggesting that Tshabangu may collaborate with the ruling Zanu PF to secure a two-thirds majority in Parliament. Such a majority could facilitate smoother amendments to the Constitution, raising eyebrows about the motives behind these political manoeuvres.

By A Correspondent- A 30 year old man from Chasamba Village under Chief Pashu in Binga, Givemore Munsaka, appeared before Hwange Magistrate Ms Rumbidzai Yolanda Kabasa on Tuesday morning, pleading guilty to charges of assault in a case stemming from a family conflict.
According to State papers, the incident unfolded on November 6 when a dispute erupted between Mandlenkosi Ngwenya, the complainant, and Munsaka’s young brother, Last Mumpande, at Chasamba Shopping Centre. The disagreement escalated to the point where Ngwenya bit Last Mumpande on the finger.
Upon hearing about the incident, Last Mumpande reported the matter to his elder brother, Givemore Munsaka. Seeking retribution, Munsaka confronted Ngwenya and unleashed a violent assault. Reports indicate that Munsaka used open fists to strike Ngwenya multiple times across his body and, finally, resorted to using a brick to hit him on his back.
The incident was reported to ZRP Kamativi, leading to ongoing investigations to apprehend Munsaka. During the court proceedings, Hwange Magistrate Ms Rumbidzai Yolanda Kabasa found Munsaka guilty as charged.
As a penalty for his actions, Munsaka has been ordered to pay a fine of USD$50 by December 29. Failure to meet this deadline will result in a two-month imprisonment for the convicted assaulter.
The case underscores the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means, highlighting the potential consequences of resorting to violence in personal disputes. Authorities encourage community members to seek mediation and legal avenues to address grievances rather than taking matters into their own hands.

By Farai D Hove | The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party has wielded its political influence to punish ZANU PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa by strategically boycotting the bi-elections initiated by the self-proclaimed representative, Mr. Sengezo Tshabangu. Tshabangu falsely claimed to speak on behalf of the Nelson Chamisa-led CCC, leading to a contentious electoral process.
The aftermath of the boycott unfolded with the controversial ascension of GoldMafia implicated Scott Sakupwanya, who secured a parliamentary seat. This victory, however, was marred by the exclusion of the legitimate winner of the 2023 elections, highlighting the disruptive consequences of the CCC’s protest.
The intricacies of this political maneuver were exposed when Simba Chikanza revealed operations involving Sakupwanya and Tshabangu between November and December. This revelation added another layer of controversy to the situation, exposing the questionable tactics employed by these individuals.
Former Norton MP Temba Mliswa criticized CCC’s decision, stating, “CCC has resolved to boycott today’s elections, but the unfortunate thing about our politics is that results will still stand. This wasn’t a strategically opportune time for that as CCC is already at its weakest. The boycott is more a pliant bow than a strategic retreat.”
Despite the mounting criticism, CCC remained silent, offering no official response to Mliswa’s remarks or the revelations brought forth by Chikanza. The lack of comment further intensified the uncertainty surrounding the party’s motives and the efficacy of its chosen course of action. The political landscape in the wake of these events is fraught with controversy, casting a shadow over the legitimacy of the electoral process and the actors involved.

According to Pitso, another star in Diaz was also on his way to Sundowns but the club missed out on the eleventh hour.
In an interview with with DJ Sabby of Metro FM, as cited by Kick-off.com, the gaffer explained how Sundowns missed out on signing the Colombian, who then moved to Portugal to join Porto.
Pitso revealed: “I found all the South Americans in South America. I was going there, breaking them [away from their clubs], bringing them to Sundowns. I did it myself, don’t listen to anybody.
“If you want to do something, you’ll make time.
“You know Luis Diaz, the guy who is playing for Liverpool on the left? I nearly bought him for Sundowns. I’m not lying! He was in Colombia.”
The gaffer added: “We’ve looked at a lot of players, including Vinicius Jr. I don’t want to lie to you.”

Loss of control: The drug user is unable to predict what will happen when he uses the substance. One day he may be able to stop after one drink, or after one line of cocaine; the next day he may not be able to control his use at all.
Compulsive preoccupation: The drug addict spends a great deal of time thinking about the substance he consumes.
Continued use despite negative consequences: If drinking or drug use causes problems but the individual still continues to consume the substancet, the individual is tempting drug addiction or is already addicted. The person has lost voluntary control over the use of that substance.
A nonuser or casual alcohol/drug user may have difficulty understanding why drug addicts dont just stop.
Use and abuse of psychoactive (mood-altering) drugs seem to be voluntary; drug addiction seems to be characterized by involuntary, compulsive use. In most cases, drug addicts dont stop because they are addicted, they just cannot stop on their own.
The drug addict lies to family and friends, things start missing and disappearing around the house.
The dishonesty conveyed is proportionate to the severity of the drug addiction, but these things are all apparent to the person living with a drug addict in their life.
Our experiences show that the drug addict or alcoholic is usually an intelligent and most often creative person with much hope for the future, which only adds to the calamity of their downfall. As the drug addict slips down the drug addiction spiral, their loved ones try to deny the problem exists, sometimes for years. This is a part of the vicious cycle of addiction.

By James Gwati-In a startling revelation, self-appointed CCC interim secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu, is under scrutiny for admitting to an error that handed Mabvuku-Tafara to Zanu PF.
Tshabangu’s acknowledgement has sparked accusations of collusion with President Emerson Mnangagwa in a bid to dismantle the opposition CCC.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) abruptly terminated the Mabvuku-Tafara by-election on Friday, proclaiming Scott Sakupwanya of Zanu PF as the uncontested victor.
The High Court’s Thursday ruling in favor of Tshabangu’s directive to exclude CCC candidates, including Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi, further intensifies suspicions of a coordinated effort to weaken the opposition.
Tshabangu, through his lawyer Nqobani Sithole, asserted this week that Kufahakutizwi was not intended for recall, raising questions about the transparency of the process.
“My client advises that there was never an intention to recall Febion Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi as an MP. Consequently, we have not cited him as a respondent in our court action. He is unaffected by court ruling on the recalled people,” clarified Tshabangu’s lawyer.
The far-reaching consequences of the High Court’s decision extend to several CCC-won constituency seats in August, including prominent figures like Prince Dubeko Sibanda, Vanya Bright Moyo, Raphael Pashor Sibanda, Jane Nicola Watson, Ereck Gono, Morgan Ncube, Obert Manduna, and Desmond Makaza. The unfolding events suggest a complex political landscape and potential collaboration between Tshabangu and Mnangagwa to undermine the CCC.
Editorial – In a twist of fate, Robert Mugabe’s prophecy on Mnangagwa’s presidency seems to find resonance in recent events, as Tshabangu’s strategic move unfolds.
Today history is made-Robert Mugabe once said Mnangagwa won't last as president, and as expected, Tshabangu/Scott is celebrating another court own goal, testament to how every political party since 1980 is either gunned down with live bullets or with court-lets, which-ever way…
The intricate web of Zimbabwean politics, woven with bullets and court battles since 1980, now witnesses a pivotal moment with Tshabangu’s celebrated court own goal. Nelson Chamisa emerges as the master strategist, miles ahead of his adversaries, leveraging an international judgment that transcends the confines of Zimbabwean courts.
Tshabangu’s official letter, dictated by Scott Sakupwanya’s personal aide, a Cde Mabhunu (an undercover journalist), serves as a game-changer. The letter, a double-edged sword, not only targets the GoldMafia but unwittingly disarms Tshabangu himself. Mnangagwa’s bag of political trickeries is unraveling, as every move faces reversal in the wake of international scrutiny from bodies like the IPU, which governs parliaments worldwide.
The IPU’s jurisdiction, extending beyond Luke Malaba’s realm, ushers in a new chapter for Zimbabwean politics. Tshabangu’s letter inadvertently opens the door for international agencies to assert real legal authority over critical aspects:
1. **2023 Elections:** The IPU’s involvement introduces a global oversight, potentially re-shaping the electoral landscape and ensuring a fair and transparent process out of the rigging exposed by SADC.
2. **Tshabangu’s Elections:** The dynamics of Tshabangu’s political fate are now subject to international scrutiny, raising questions about the legitimacy and fairness of the electoral process.
3. **Money Laundering Offences:** Tshabangu’s letter puts a spotlight on the nexus between politics and money laundering, prompting international agencies to delve into the murky waters of financial irregularities.
4. **GoldMafia’s Parliamentary Role:** The IPU questions the decision to make a #GoldMafia an MP, exposing potential conflicts of interest and initiating a global inquiry into the RBZ’s role in endorsing such appointments.
Thanks to Tshabangu’s inadvertent transparency, international agencies gain momentum in their investigations. Mnangagwa, once shielded by political maneuvering, now faces challenges defending against legal criticisms previously overlooked by the RBZ. The stage is set for a thorough examination of alleged law-breaking, a wound that enforcement agencies worldwide began inspecting in March.
As the IPU and other international bodies take the reins from @SADC_News, the global community watches closely, anticipating a reshaping of Zimbabwe’s political landscape. Tshabangu’s unintended consequences may prove instrumental in ushering in a new era of accountability and transparency, transcending the borders of a nation historically defined by political turbulence. – Editorial Comment
By James Gwati-Self imposed CCC interim secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu has admitted that he erroneously recalled Mabvuku-Tafara MP, Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi, resulting in the seat going to Zanu PF.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Friday called off the Mabvuku-Tafara by-election and declared Scott Sakupwanya of the ruling party, Zanu PF, as the uncontested winner.
This was after the High Court Thursday ruled in favour of Tshabangu’s order to bar CCC candidates, including Kufahakutizwi, from participating in the upcoming by-election.
Through his lawyer, Nqobani Sithole Tshabangu this week said that Kufahakutizwi was not supposed to be recalled.
“‘My client advises that there was never an intention to recall Febion Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi as an MP. Consequently, we have not cited him as a respondent in our court action. He is unaffected by court ruling on the recalled people,” said Tshabangu’s lawyer
The High Court’s decision affects several constituency seats won in August by CCC members, including Prince Dubeko Sibanda (Binga North), Vanya Bright Moyo (Lupane East), Raphael Pashor Sibanda (Cowdray Park), Jane Nicola Watson (Bulawayo South), Ereck Gono (Lobengula Magwegwe), Morgan Ncube (Beitbridge West), Obert Manduna (Nketa), and Desmond Makaza (Mpopoma Mzilikazi).
By- Potential CCC voters in today’s by-elections say they are confused after the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) withdrew ballot papers in eight constituencies that were affected by a ruling by High Court judge Justice Never Katiyo, who nullified the nomination of recalled Citizens Coalition For Change (CCC) candidates.
Justice Katiyo Thursday granted the party’s self-declared interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu an application to bar recalled CCC candidates from participating in the upcoming by-elections.
CCC’s deputy spokesman Gift Siziba on Thursday said that the party had appealed against the decision by Justice Katiyo at the Supreme Court.
In a statement, ZEC Chief Elections Officer, Utoile Silaigwana said that they are going to reprint ballots for Binga North, Lupane East, Cowdray Park, Bulawayo South, Lobengula-Magwegwe, Beitbridge West, Nketa, Mpopoma-Mzilikazi constituencies in compliance with the court order.
The recalled CCC representatives who were affected by the recent ruling by Justice Katiyo are:
Sibanda Dubeko Prince
Moyo Bright Vanya
Nkomo Veliswe
Toffa Jasmine
Mlilo Stabile
Sibanda Pashor Raphael
Watson Nicola Jane
Gono Ereck
Zana Evidence Sunungurai
Ncube Morgan
Manduna Obert
Dube Janeth
Makaza Desmond
Shoko Gideon
Sibanda Tendai
Moyo Anastasia
Gabuzza Joel
Chimhini David
Ncube Siphiwe
Sibanda Felix
Zivira Helen
Madzikana Mativenga
The CCC candidates who were nominated for the direct first-past-the-post elections are:

Silaigwana said the named individuals will not have their names appearing on the ballot paper in the Saturday by-elections. He said:
Consequently, the said persons are not candidates for the by-elections on 9 December 2023. In terms of the court order, the Commission has been ordered not to include the names of the said persons in the preparation of ballot papers to be used in the by-elections.
The Commission is thus withdrawing all ballot papers that had been printed and distributed to the respective Constituencies and will reprint and redistribute ballots that are in compliance with the court order.
Kindly note that this will not affect the number of ballots to be printed and the number remains as notified in the notice published on 27 November 2023. The printer remains Printing and Minting Company.
Recent studies suggest that nearly 6 out of 10 gamblers hesitate to use crypto payments due to concerns over security and volatility. By- President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed John Mushayavanhu as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank.
Mushayavanhu will take over from John Mangudya in April 2024.
Mangudya is moving to the new Mutapa Investment Fund as chief executive.
The President appoints the Governor of the Reserve Bank in terms of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Act and the head of the Mutapa Investment Fund in terms of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Act. He can reappoint a Governor once for a second five year term, but at the end of a maximum of 10 years there has to be a new person. Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, made the announcements of the changes at the Reserve Bank and Mutapa Investment Fund in a statement yesterday. Dr Mushayavanhu is a career banker with over 30 years banking experience, having worked at Standard Chartered Bank and FBC Bank in senior capacities. He holds several educational qualifications, including a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a PhD in Business Administration. “These senior appointments have been made in line with the dictates of good corporate governance on succession planning for forward guidance of the market,” said Dr Rushwaya. In another Presidential appointment, the Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Albert Chimbindi becomes the new Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade taking over from Ambassador James Manzou who is due to retire tomorrow but has been appointed by the President to the Commission of the Public Service Commission from January 1 next year. Ambassador Manzou holds a first degree in Public Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration. He joined the foreign service as a desk officer in 1980, and rose through the ranks to counsellor, under secretary, deputy ambassador and ambassador in stations that included Russia, Germany, Angola and Geneva. Ambassador Manzou was subsequently elevated to the post of Director Regional and Continental Integration in 2014 and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 2018. Ambassador Manzou, who has served in Government for over 43 years, possesses extensive knowledge and experience in public administration, with a pointed focus in the management of foreign or diplomatic service. Dr Rushwaya said his vast experience will greatly enhance the work of the Public Service Commission with regard to foreign service. Ambassador Chimbindi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Politics and Administration and a Master of Science Degree in International Relations. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an administrative officer in 1986, and rose to deputy director and director in the same ministry. Ambassador Chimbindi was first secretary and head of chancery at the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Dakar, Senegal, counsellor at the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Paris, France, and subsequently Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Brussels.
By A Correspondent| A Zimbabwe man has been languishing in prison for close to one month after he was arrested last month by Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officers and charged with undermining authority of or insulting President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Patrick Kingirasi, an unemployed resident of Bindura in Mashonaland Central province, has been languishing in remand prison after he was arrested by ZRP officers on 18 November 2023 and charged with undermining authority of or insulting President Mnangagwa as defined in section 33(2)(b) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
Prosecutors alleged that Kingirasi, who is represented by Pride Dzapasi, undermined and insulted President Mnangagwa on 2 October 2023, when he called Edson Chibaya, a fellow Bindura resident, on his mobile phone and made some utterances to the effect that the ruling ZANU PF political party members were thieves and blamed the ruling party’s leader for causing massive suffering among citizens and for authoring the country’s economic crisis.
Kingirasi is alleged to have shouted at Chibaya in Shona language that “Musandiitire zvechimbavha zve ZANU PF nava Mnangagwa venyu varikutipa kutambura,” which prosecuting authorities translated to mean “Do not be thievery in ZANU PF way with your Mnangagwa, who is causing us to suffer.”
Prosecutors said Kingirasi’s alleged utterances were unlawful, intentional, abusive, indecent and abusive.
The Bindura resident is the latest among dozens of Zimbabweans, who have been arrested, detained and prosecuted on charges of undermining authority of or insulting President Mnangagwa.
During the reign of Robert Mugabe, the country’s late leader, more than 200 people were prosecuted and persecuted on the same and nefarious charges of undermining authority of or insulting the President, charges which continue to be preferred against citizens in the post-Mugabe era.
Let’s embark on a deeper exploration of the intricate and multifaceted world of substance abuse and its close companion, denial. Denial, in the context of addiction, is not a mere assertion that one is free from substance abuse issues or can quit at will. It is a complex psychological phenomenon that often extends its reach far beyond the substance itself, influencing behaviors, circumstances, and belief systems.
Addiction, particularly when fueled by potent substances like crystal meth, exerts a profound impact on an individual’s psyche. It brings about a cascade of behavioral changes, effectively robbing them of empathy and sympathy, two fundamental aspects of human connection. What emerges from this transformation is a cocktail of aggression, anger, and various negative behaviors that become the new norm for someone trapped in the throes of addiction.
The paradox lies in the fact that, while these individuals may manifest increasingly hostile and irritable behaviors, they are often oblivious to these changes. In their self-deceptive state of denial, they may perceive themselves as harmless, even as they unwittingly push away their loved ones and make themselves inaccessible to support and understanding.
This state of denial extends to their belief system, where they staunchly maintain that their actions and substance abuse do not affect the people in their immediate environment, whether it be their coworkers, family members, or friends. They may remain steadfast in their conviction that their late-night activities in the garage, for example, are harmless, despite the disturbances they cause to those around them.
It is only as individuals progress in their journey toward recovery that the veils of denial begin to lift. These layers of self-deception gradually peel back, revealing the stark reality beneath. As they move through the steps of recovery and engage in a structured program, they slowly start to recognize the profound impact their behaviors have on those in their lives, as well as their own well-being.
For instance, take the case of an individual laboring late into the night, driven by the influence of crystal meth, blissfully unaware of the disruptions they cause to their family’s sleep and the peace of their neighbors. In their altered state, they genuinely believe they are diligently working, seemingly impervious to the harm they inflict on their surroundings.
In essence, denial is a formidable adversary, an intricate and pervasive barrier to self-awareness and change. It is not restricted solely to the quantity of drugs used or the belief that quitting is an easy feat. Denial extends its tendrils into every aspect of one’s life, reshaping perceptions and behaviors, and only begins to crumble as individuals confront their beliefs and embark on the path to recovery. As they progress in their journey, the truth gradually becomes evident, and the stronghold of denial loosens its grip, making way for a brighter, more hopeful future.

HARARE — Zimbabwe’s central bank governor John Mangudya will become the CEO of the Mutapa Investment Fund, a state-owned entity that aims to boost the country’s economic recovery, President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced Friday.
Mangudya, who has led the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe since 2014, will be replaced by John Mushayavanhu, a former executive at a leading financial services group, the president said in a statement.
Mangudya’s tenure as RBZ governor, which began in March 2014, will end on April 30, 2024, in accordance with Section 15 (3) of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Act, which limits the governor’s term to 10 years.
His redeployment to the newly revived Mutapa Investment Fund will pave the way for John Mushayavanhu, the former FBC Holdings Limited Group chief executive officer, to assume the position of RBZ governor.
The president’s office said the appointments were made in line with good corporate governance and succession planning principles.
Via his proxy, Tshabangu, ED has brazenly reconfigured Zim’s Parliament pursuant to attaining a two-thirds majority which will in turn act as a prelude to removing Presidential term limits & open doors to a tilt at life presidency.
In the same vein, he has turned elections into a routine sham, thereby totally delegitimising them as a tool to facilitate a democratic & constitutional change of gvt.
It is a watershed moment. There is no sane Zimbabwean who will continue to retain faith in the power of elections to express the democratic and sovereign will of the people to deliver change after this charade.
There will be many who will lay the blame squarely on the shoulders of Zimbabwe’s beleaguered opposition leader, @nelsonchamisa & his party, @CCCZimbabwe for allowing this to happen but in essence, the reality is simply that they were literally outgunned & out manoeuvred by a desperately ruthless, determined & shameless opponent.
It is simply the case that ED is leaving no stone unturned in his quest for a life presidency, something that eluded his mentor, Robert Mugabe, & culminated in an ignominious end.
Even though this page and many other commentators have highlighted this for sometime, the opposition appeared to have been caught unawares by the scale of the operation and breath taking brazenness displayed.
They spent an inordinate amount of time exclusively pinning their hopes on a captured Judiciary – and that is the sole strategy they deployed – perhaps apart from behind the scenes diplomatic manoeuvring which failed to gain traction.
It follows that if it is accepted that the Judiciary is captured, then it equally follows that it does not have any bandwidth to deliver outcomes contrary to the regime’s core interests, such as destruction of the opposition and delivering a two-thirds majority in this instance.
Many argue that had the opposition registered independent candidates it would have thwarted the regime’s plans but that is downright naive & short sighted.
The regime would have simply devised other plans, including using lawfare via ZEC to render those independent candidates ineligible, amongst other schemes.
Many in Zimbabwe are simply too slow to realise how desperate & determined ED is to achieve a life presidency.
Assuming the Presidency & reaching the pinnacle was the culmination of the pursuit of a life long dream, – something that he is determined to prolong as long as he can – and at all costs.
The Presidency gives him unfettered power & the capacity to use the trappings of power to deliver patronage, sideline & defenestrate his opponents & achieve complete immunity from his many indiscretions.
We are now at a point where he has virtually totally emasculated @nelsonchamisa and @CCCZimbabwe given that they are at the mercy of his proxy’s unrelenting political guillotine with the collusion of ZEC, Parliament & the Judiciary.
As argued in a previous post, the course of events could have perhaps been slightly if not significantly altered had urgent attempts been made to mobilise opposition supporters early on in the crisis, at a time when there was still a lot of attention on the country, including by SADC.
It remains unclear why no such attempt has been made at any point, even when taking into account the ruthlessness of the regime & the likely brutality that would have followed such a course of action.
This has effectively left the opposition facing a political cul-de-sac / moment of reckoning. It’s now either a new political party or long delayed or is it avoided mobilisation & street protests? Inaction clearly won’t cut the mustard.
Whatever happens, it would appear that the opposition faces a long road to redemption & reorganisation. It will have to deal with the aftermath of crises of frustration, expectation & deliverance.
All hopes have been dashed in instalments. Supporters have bore the brunt of the regime’s persecutory antics, economic incompetence & subversion of democracy – so amply captured by the regime orchestrated foisting of a desperately tainted & scandal ridden Pedzisai Sakupwanya into Parliament!
They would have been massively disappointed to be deprived of the opportunity to vent their discontent and massive disapproval of the regime’s antics – with many of them wailing & wallowing in despair at the thought of being condemned to what now seems like a life of perpetual servitude, suffering & toiling at the hands of ED’s exceptionally cruel & deeply selfish regime!
How Will The Tshabangu Saga Seal ED’s Fate?
a. By rendering democratic elections, accountability & independent state institutions obsolete, he will now be at the mercy of other plotters lying in the deep state to pounce at the slightest hint of weakness.
b. As he is now advancing in age, senility, gradual or steep deterioration in reservoirs of virility will arrive at some point as unavoidable detours on the way to path to mortality.
c. As one’s destiny with mortality is unknown, it means that it is one of the few variables that he will be unable to conquer – with the caveat being that he has now entered the “zone of diminishing returns” – where each day brings him closer to it – which in turn threatens to leave his dependants & family members at the mercy of the vagaries of whatever political creature he leaves behind at that precise moment!
d. With the two-thirds Parliamentary majority as good as sealed, ED will now be forced to lay his political cards on the table as his next step, forcing him to unfurl his political sail & get his hands dirty to achieve amending the Constitution.
e. Therein lies his gravest danger! With his unpopularity within his own party laid bare via his previous electoral defeats & his 2018 & 2023 returns – hence his reliance on FAZ & parallel structures, he will be forced to directly confront & crush equally dangerous & well armed & connected political protagonists from his own party & state institutions & equally determined to wrest away power from him!
f. Just like we saw in 2013 when Bob thought totally outmanoeuvring Morgan Tsvangirai meant he had achieved life presidency, in reality it meant that political uncertainty & convulsions shifted to his party as the long delayed succession saga had finally been ushered onshore by a furious political tide.
g. It is an exercise in futility & an illusion for ED & those who form the core of his inner circle to believe that those who also have their own political ambitions in ZANU PF & the deep state could ever welcome his tilt at life presidency, the manner in which he is projecting that power via the Cabinet he appointed and the monopoly he exercises over arbitrage opportunities!
Conclusion
What will seal ED’s fate is a moribund economy, a worthless currency, hyper inflation, over taxation, formidable deep state opponents who have got time and are equally determined and the sheer scale of the obstacles he faces in trying to remove presidential term limits coupled with his age and the spectre of mortality which looms large means that, as previously concluded, ED is politically overreaching and pursuing unrealistic goals which are highly unattainable and likely to end in ignominy!
It’s one thing to tame an opposition political party which does not enjoy the patronage of state institutions & quite another to overcome a foe feasting on the same advantages you are used to enjoying and determined to defeat life presidency and perhaps nursing a festering wound grounded in sentiments of betrayal and lack of gratitude!
THE Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) says it has withdrawn ballot papers in eight constituencies which have been affected by the latest High Court ruling that barred recalled Citizens Coalition For Change(CCC) members from contesting Saturday’s by-election.
Recalled CCC candidates who had filed their nomination papers on 7 November will not have their names appearing on the ballot paper come Saturday by-elections.
This is after ZEC acted in compliance with the High Court ruling that nullified the candidates’ nomination following CCC interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu’s application.
In a statement, ZEC Chief Elections Officer, Utoile Silaigwana confirmed that they are going to reprint ballots for Binga North, Lupane East, Cowdray Park, Bulawayo South, Lobengula-Magwegwe, Beitbridge West, Nketa, Mpopoma-Mzilikazi constituencies in compliance with the court order.
He said the re-printing process will not affect the number of ballots and is hopeful the job will be done before polling.
The ruling however, will not affect the Mabvuku-Tafara constituency, as the recalled CCC candidate, Mr Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi was not cited as a respondent in the court ruling.

CCC leader President Nelson Chamisa has exposed Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s hypocrisy.
In a strong statement, President Chamisa accused the Zanu PF leader of blessing corruption and rampant looting of resources.
According to President Chamisa, the whole system is fraught with irregularities and fraud.
See statement below…
BEHOLD A BANANA REPUBLIC
Somewhere in a country which is essentially a Banana republic, State institutions are moved by lies.
An incorrigible criminal and fraudster engages in a criminal and fraudulent act.
A blatant lie is acted upon by and moves the whole government, the whole Parliament, the whole Judiciary, the whole Electoral Management Body & a whole ministry( Local Government, Justice & Finance).
The whole electorate and citizenry is abused and taken for fools.
A whole President is moved to gazette a fraud , criminal act and a lie!
The whole nation loses revenue to this lie in a state where hospitals have no medication, schools have no books and roads have craters of potholes.
The whole scheme is diversionary so as to shift the citizens’ focus from the stolen and rigged election! A classic case of a rapist telling a rape victim to forget about the assault and move on !!
This nation must return to majority rule and find a new national consensus through a broad based settlement and pact. #OnePeople

The ZIFA Normalisation Committee is set to offer Warriors coach Baltemar Brito a new contract, amid revelations that the gaffer’s current arrangement with the country’s football leadership ends on December 31 2023.
Brito was appointed Warriors coach in September, with his right hand man Antonio Torres ropped in as fitness and conditioning coach but the duo was offered contracts which run to December 31 —concurrently with their stay at Highlanders.
The Lincoln Mutasa-led Normalisation Committee reportedly gave Brito and Torres contracts which runs up to the end of next month collectively with their stay at Bosso due to work permit issues.
But a well-placed source privy to ongoings at ZIFA reveled that the NC has already engaged the coaches for new contracts.
“The NC has already engaged them (Brito and Torres) for contract extensions. They could not be be offered contracts which run beyond 31 December because their work permits are also expiring on December 31, concurrently with their Highlanders contacts,” the source said.- Soccer24 News
FORMER Highlanders coach, Erol Akbay has been linked with a sensational return to the Bulawayo giants.
After the departure of expatriate coach, Baltemer Brito, Highlanders have been left with a technical gap that has raised speculation on who will fill it.
Highlanders decided to part ways with the Portuguese expatriate who appeared to have brought back lost pride to the club until a free fall which started from match day 20.
Highlanders had to let go of the gaffer who was now doubling as interim coach for the national team after missing the set target of a championship crown or a second-spot finish.
Names have started being thrown in and one of the front runners is Erol Akbay who has since confirmed his availability to re-unite with the Bulawayo giants.
“I have always wanted to coach Bosso and now that I am unattached, I am willing to come back. The environment at Barbourfields calls for any coach. I will gladly take up the post if given an opportunity,” he said.
Akbay, who was once in charge of Highlanders, has also coached 2023 PSL champions, Ngezi Platinum Stars, and has also worked as a scout for clubs in Ghana, Netherlands, and Egypt.
The owners of the game, the fans have their own expectations regarding the technical void.
“I think we were supposed to retain Brito. We as a club did not support the coach, we were supposed to find a striker as per the coach’s request.
“The easy way out is to give Madinda Ndlovu and Joel the job because we can’t have expatriates who are failing to deliver the league.
“A lot of things are wrong at Highlanders and at this point, we may need the services of Cosmas Tsano Zulu.”
Highlanders finished fifth with 55 points in the just-ended season. https://www.zbcnews.co.zw/?p=18025

Hopewell accuses Chamisa of listening to Military-Intelligence it's Chin'ono speaking on Jan 2023 leaked Army audio (& Hopewell) who also leaked safe house addresses to VP Chiwenga to get tortured CCC activists shot dead. Hopewell is an investigative-liar or a truth teller?
By Farai D Hove | Features | Once upon a time, in the heart of the nation, an award-winning journalist named Mark Anderson [not real name] stood as a beacon of hope for those who believed in the power of truth and justice.
CONFIRMED LEAKED MILITARY AUDIO:CHAMISA WASN'T FIRED BY TSHABANGU BUT BY AN AWARD WINNING JOURNALIST https://t.co/YwlnCuIKNX
From July 2020, Mark Anderson began a series of scathing articles, televised exposés, and radio interviews. He pointed a finger at the highest levels of government, uncovering scandals that shook the very foundation of the nation. He was relentless, a fierce guardian of the people’s interests, or so it seemed.
As the months passed, his revelations grew bolder, and his audience larger. Later on in January 2023, he made a statement that sent shockwaves across the nation. In an undisputed leaked audio recording with a well known senior military intelligence officer, Mark Anderson could be heard berating the nation’s opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa. He accused Chamisa of being an incompetent party leader, a man who should be ousted from his position.
Hopewell Chin'ono (the man who's changed his own name 3 times in less than 2yrs), says this isn't his voice, and yet here is saying it all in public, and here is his voice as he was recorded at Mapfumo's show in Leicester. A military intel officer is here told CCC is splitting! pic.twitter.com/SuKub1jBxk
Anderson’s rage and determination was revealed as the recording continued. In it, he was heard making an announcement that the opposition party would split into two factions shortly after the 2023 elections. This was a shocking twist, as Anderson had been a staunch supporter of the opposition, or so it seemed.
But the events of the second week of October told a different story. The statement he made was not the result of his investigative journalism, but a well-crafted design to sow discord within the opposition party. He had used his platform and reputation to manipulate public opinion, all the while secretly conspiring against those who had trusted him.
As the nation grappled with this revelation, Anderson’s own words came back to haunt him. He had often criticized Chamisa for his frequent references to Bible verses, claiming it showed an obsession rather than true leadership. But now, it was Mark Anderson’s words and actions that were under scrutiny.
By February 2023, he would admit that he truly directed the country’# coup leader Constantino Chiwenga to regularly meet civil society leaders in order to reduce tension, at a time when UN investigations revealed there was no tension whatsoever, other than military crackdowns against civilians since Aug 2018, and into the 2019 shootings, during a time when multiple civil society reports say he leaked the addresses of safe houses of torture victims to the military, allegations that are undenied by him.
The journalist had turned from a champion of truth into a master manipulator, using his influence to destabilize the very opposition he had claimed to support. His fall from grace was swift, and the nation was left to grapple with the consequences of his treachery.
In an over 33 minute audio recording which went viral in January 2022, Mr Hopewell Chin’ono is heard saying, the CCC is splitting and Chamisa is incompetent because he has failed to tell people to go register to vote.
“He(Chamisa) spends time tweeting Bible verses instead of telling people go register to vote,” says Chin’ono to the man, audibly identified as Bruce.
Chin’ono then says, ” he himself (Chamisa) did not even come out to tell people to go register.”
A large database of live videos shows that in 2022, alone, Chamisa personally commissioned 964 meetings, and he is on various footage loudly urging and ordering people to go register to vote. 62 of these meetings were either disrupted of cancelled by ZANU PF authorities and some violently crushed. Many party members were killed during Chamisa’s campaigns for people to register to vote.
Chin’ono would later in January publicly announce on Twitter that the CCC and its leader, Chamisa, have not launched any voter registration campaign programs.
“The opposition hasn’t yet mounted an official voter registration campaign, yet it wants power.
“On this day, nothing has changed yet from yesterday, 2022,” he said on Twitter on 1 Jan 2023.
Chin’ono has confirmed the viral 33 minute audio as he joined his colleague Kuda Musasiwa on Twitter in saying there is no new information in the leaked audio.
“Vanopenga ava Mhofu! The level of desperation is embarrassing!,” said Chin’ono conjoining to, ” It’s absolute stupidity that someone “leaks” voice recording of @daddyhope when his free thoughts are always freely available on his personal timeline. When I want to know what Daddy Hope thinks I’ll look at his timeline. Not some clandestine “sting” with zero new information!”
To this, Musasiwa then said Chin’ono should not be afraid to speak his mind.
“Absolute madness. I have never seen you afraid to speak for yourself.
“Any(way) f*** them. Desperation,” he wrote.

In the ever-evolving political landscape of the nation, the saga took another unexpected twist. Nelson Chamisa, once the revered leader of his party, found himself at the center of a controversy that had been brewing since January 2023. The catalyst for this new chapter was a leaked audio recording that surfaced around October 10th.
In the recording, a voice eerily similar to that of Chamisa’s deputy could be heard. The speaker did not mince words, expressing discontent with the prevailing belief that Chamisa still held the party’s respect. “Anga apera ega,” he remarked, suggesting that Chamisa’s influence had waned considerably.
The bombshell came when the voice announced that they would soon issue a tweet declaring that they were no longer the president of anything. This announcement coincided with a tweet by none other than Chamisa’s former deputy, Tendai Biti. The political world watched in stunned silence as Biti’s tweet mirrored the words of the voice in the leaked audio.
The implication was clear: Chamisa’s party was in turmoil, and a divide had grown between the former leader and his deputy, Biti. It was a dramatic turn of events, especially given the accusations that had been leveled at Biti in Hopewell Chin’ono’s undisputed audio back in January 2023.
Biti had been accused of undermining Chamisa’s leadership, and the party’s impending split was said to be a direct result of their bitter rivalry. At the time of writing, Biti had yet to offer his response to the revelations, leaving the nation in suspense and uncertainty regarding the future of the opposition party.
The story serves as a stark reminder that the world of politics is rife with shifting allegiances, hidden agendas, and ever-changing dynamics. The impact of this revelation would reverberate throughout the nation’s political landscape, leaving citizens and observers alike wondering what the future would hold.
By James Gwati-Sengezo Tshabangu, the self-imposed interim secretary general of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has relinquished the Mabvuku-Tafara parliamentary seat to Scott Sakupwanya of the ruling Zanu PF party.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC), Friday, declared Sakupwanya as the uncontested winner after the High Court, Thursday ruled in favour of Tshabangu’s order to bar CCC candidates from participating in the upcoming by-election scheduled for tomorrow. CCC had fielded Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi for the Mabvuku seat. Kufahakutizwi is one of the 14 MPs illegally recalled by Tshabangu in October and won the Mabvuku seat in August.
The High Court’s decision affects several constituency seats won in August by CCC members, including Prince Dubeko Sibanda (Binga North), Vanya Bright Moyo (Lupane East), Raphael Pashor Sibanda (Cowdray Park), Jane Nicola Watson (Bulawayo South), Ereck Gono (Lobengula Magwegwe), Morgan Ncube (Beitbridge West), Obert Manduna (Nketa), and Desmond Makaza (Mpopoma Mzilikazi).
ZEC Deputy Chairperson Rodney Kiwa, Thursday, confirmed that all preparations for the by-elections are in place.
Despite the controversy surrounding Tshabangu’s recall of CCC MPs from Parliament, ZEC remains confident in the readiness of the electoral process.
“We have been able to mobilize all the resources, and election materials are available. Most of the materials have been deployed to Bulawayo, where the majority of the voting will take place. So, yes, I can confidently say we are ready,” stated Ambassador Kiwa in a recent interview. A total of 266,150 ballot papers are expected to be printed for the by-elections, catering to at least 248,347 voters in the National Assembly. This development follows Tshabangu’s recall of 18 CCC legislators last month, prompting another round of by-elections scheduled for February 3 in six National Assembly constituencies: Pelandaba, Goromonzi South, Seke, Chegutu West, Zvimba East, and Mkoba North. The Nomination Court is set to convene on December 18 to receive the names of candidates interested in contesting in the upcoming by-elections. However, the court order barring expelled legislators from standing again is likely to remain in effect, adding a layer of complexity to the political landscape in Zimbabwe.
By James Gwati- Self-imposed CCC interim secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu, has donated the Mabvuku-Tafara parliament seat to Zanu PF’s Scott Sakupwanya.
Friday, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) declared Sakupwanya as the uncontested winner of the parliamentary seat after Thursday, the High Court ruled in favour of Tshabangu’s order to bar CCC candidates from partaking in the Sartuday by-election.
CCC had fielded Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi for the Mabvuku seat. Kufahakutizwi is one of the 14 MPs illegally recalled by Tshabangu in October and won the Mabvuku seat in August.

Harare magistrate, Feresi Chakanyuka blocked the media from following proceedings in a case Marry Mubaiwa is accused of attempting to kill Vice President Constantino Chiwenga when he was hospitalised in South Africa.
Journalists been following the case from Mubaiwa’s initial court appearance but were Thursday barred after Chiwenga came to testify as the main witness.
He is expected to be the last witness before the State closes its case.
Prosecutor Lancelot Mutsokoti applied for the matter to be heard in camera, submitting that Chiwenga’s rights should be protected.
“It is common cause that the next witness is one of the sitting VPs of Zimbabwe. This application is made to protect the dignity and security of that office,” said the prosecutor.
He added, “It is desirable that this witness be allowed to testify in camera. There exist security risks to this witness if he is compelled to testify in open court. However, if he is allowed to testify in camera, his security detail will have the advantage to secure him during his testimony and after. It’s in the interest of justice that he be allowed to testify in camera.”
Beatrice Mtetwa representing Mubaiwa argued that the matter should be heard in an open court because it is a matter of public interest and was being heard in an open court all along.
“The prosecution is inviting you to introduce into our criminal justice system an animal farm type of doctrine where some animals are more equal than others.
“This case has been about the privacy of the complainant and accused from the onset and the State allowed that privacy to be violated by having the matter be in open court.
Mtetwa said if Mutsokoti was sincere that it was about the privacy of both parties, he would’ve had the matter in camera from the beginning.

By A Correspondent- Revelers at night clubs around Chikanga’s TM area in Mutare were lucky to recover their stolen cellphones which had been tucked in knee-high socks of a thief who was fatally assaulted by his colleague after refusing to share the loot in the late hours of last Friday.
The nasty incident happened at a night club in Chikanga.
Police confirmed the death of McDonald Muparutsa (31) of New Chisamba, Sakubva, at the hands of his colleague, Lovemore Biggie Nyanzou (26) of Muchena section of the same suburb.
Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, said Nyanzou allegedly murdered his colleague after the latter refused to share the stolen kitty.
“The incident occurred at Rio Night Club at Chikanga TM area in Mutare. On the fateful night, the two were drinking beer together and Nyanzou saw Muparutsa snatching a cellphone from a patron’s pocket and went outside the night club. Nyanzou followed him and demanded a share of the loot. MacDonald refused to give him anything. After that, Nyanzou head-butted Muparutsa. When Nyanzou saw that Muparutsa had collapsed, he ran away.
“However, onlookers gave chase and apprehended him. When police attended the scene, they found Muparutsa’s body lying in a pool of blood and Nyanzou was arrested,” said Assistant Inspector Chinyoka.
However, when imbibers dialled their numbers, they heard their phones ringing from the deceased Muparutsa’s socks.
A witness, Mr Lawrence Zvamunongoda, told our Mutare Bureau: “It was shocking to see cellphones being retrieved from the deceased person’s socks.”
“Following Muparutsa’s murder, police attended the scene. People who were enjoying themselves in other night clubs around the area rushed to witness the incident.
“Those who had lost their phones during that night, dialled their numbers using other people’s phones. They heard the phones ringing from Muparutsa’s socks. I noticed five cellphones being retrieved from the socks,” he said.
By A Correspondent- Female lawmakers are pushing for the tabling of a Sexual Harassment Bill to protect women in politics against persecution by their male counterparts.
The calls were made during a recent sensitisation workshop for women leaders by the Women’s Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence.
The women leaders had the opportunity to air out the challenges they encounter while discharging their political duties in their various constituencies.
Budiriro North constituency legislator Susan Matsunga said she hoped that such a Bill would be tabled soon.
“We have come up with a motion that we have moved to debate in Parliament as we find that it is not necessary to commemorate these 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence of which the whole year women will be facing challenges with no one to take care of them. GBV is not only in our communities that we lead, it is everywhere even in Parliament,” she said.
Epworth Local Board’s recalled chairperson Anna Sande said there was need for several institutions to be sensitised against harassment of women in politics.
“We really need to sensitise all institutions that work with women; calling for the establishment of a sexual harassment Bill to protect female politicians is a noble cause.
“Female politicians face many challenges than an average male politician faces, hence women ought to be protected from any form of sexual harm,” she said.
Sande said the policy would enable women to effectively carry out their mandate as policymakers and duty bearers.
Chairperson of the Parliament of Zimbabwe’s Women’s Caucus, Senator Maybe Mbowa, said the Bill would strive to cater for men who are also victims.
“It’s not only women who are harassed sexually. These days men are also harassed so all forms of harassment should be dealt with according to how bad they are. We no longer want sexual harassment; we want a Parliament which is well visioned,” she said.
Sexual harassment in workplaces in Zimbabwe has been described as a pervasive and insidious problem too familiar to many women in Zimbabwe.
A recent study by the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency, indicated that as many as 30% of women have experienced sexual harassment at work leading to an outcry by various gender activists to end the scourge.

Two Zimbabwean nationals were arrested on allegations of human trafficking, after they were found on a bus with 14 undocumented children.
This is the second incident of human trafficking involving children in the past few days.
Over the weekend the commissioner of the Border Management Authority (BMA) Mike Masiapato said they intercepted 443 children, under the age of eight, who were allegedly trafficked from Zimbabwe into South Africa.
It is alleged on Tuesday night the two suspects – a 46-year-old male and a 41-year-old woman – were seen boarding boarding a bus in Midrand with 14 undocumented children.
Provincial Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Tebogo Thebe said there were eight boy and six girls, aged between six and 14-years-old.
“Police were alerted to the incident by a vigilant passenger in a bus from Midrand in Johannesburg en route to Cape Town.
“The bus made a stopover in Kimberley, the passenger called an off-duty police officer, who in turn alerted the multi-disciplinary team.
“The suspects claimed to be taking the kids to their parents in Cape Town, information the police could not verify, leading to the arrest.”
Thebe said the victims were inspected and looked dirty, without any additional clothes or bags, and looked hungry.
“Provincial Trafficking in Persons rapid response team lead by Department of Social Development was contacted to assist with placing the kids at a place of safety and providing food.”
The Provincial Head of the Hawks in the Northern, Cape Major General Steven Mabuela appreciated the information from the vigilant caller and the efforts of the off-duty police officer, Sergeant Phumla Mpolokeng, which lead to the police’s timely intervention.-IOL
Three robbery suspects, part of a gang that raided at least three schools in and around Bulawayo, have been shot dead in a shoot-out with police in Kadoma.
The suspects were shot dead on Tuesday after they opened fire at the police while fleeing in their car.
Their two accomplices, believed to be foreigners, surrendered and were arrested while police are now hunting the sixth and final member of the gang.
The three robbers had been tracked down by detectives from Bulawayo.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi identified the three who died from their injuries in the shoot-out at Tandara Shopping Centre in Ingezi, Kadoma, as Peter Ngulube (38), Shylock Makoni (41) and Tendai Madiki (52).
“On December 5, 2023, detectives from CID Homicide, Bulawayo acted on received information and arrested two foreign national suspects in Bulawayo.

The two suspects led detectives to Tandara Shopping Centre, Ingezi, Kadoma where they positively identified the other three suspects who were driving a silver Toyota Raider D4D registration number AFR 4376 to the detectives.
“On seeing the detectives, the suspects opened fire whilst speeding off and a shoot out ensued. The detectives searched the suspects’ motor vehicle and recovered an A.38 Smith and Wesson revolver with one round, seven spent cartridges, two gas operated pellet guns, a bolt cutter, a crow bar, a machete, a pepper spray, two balaclavas and three pairs of woolen gloves.
“Two of the suspects, Peter Ngulube and Shylock Makoni were seriously injured and were rushed to Kadoma General Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Madiki was taken to Kadoma General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations revealed that the suspects are linked to five robberies including one at Inyanda High School, Gwabalanda on September 9 where 26 HP laptops valued at US$13 000 were stolen, as well as a robbery on September 13, 2023 at Ingwengwe Primary School, Bulawayo where US$ 1 253 cash was stolen.
The gang is also linked to a robbery on September 15, 2023 at Queen Elizabeth Primary School, Illanda, Bulawayo where solar panels were stolen.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that operations to account for all robbery suspects are in full swing and will ensure that all criminal groups or syndicates involved in robbery cases are brought to justice without fear or favour,” Asst Comm Nyathi said.
In a defiant stance against the ruling party’s conditions for dialogue, Nelson Chamisa, the leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), declared that he would not congratulate President Emmerson Mnangagwa for his victory in the August 2023 elections.
This comes as the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU PF) insisted that any discussions with Chamisa hinge on a public acknowledgment of Mnangagwa’s win and a cessation of allegations of electoral fraud.
Chamisa, who has persistently sought a meeting with President Mnangagwa since 2018, responded to a call for congratulations from an X user, Cindy Shoko, with a resolute refusal. “I don’t celebrate crime. I don’t congratulate fraud! I’m not a pretender!!” Chamisa stated, emphasizing his unwavering belief that the elections were rigged.
The CCC leader’s reluctance to extend congratulations follows a longstanding and unsuccessful effort to engage with the ruling party. ZANU PF had set forth conditions for dialogue, requiring Chamisa to publicly recognize Mnangagwa’s victory and refrain from contesting the legitimacy of the electoral process.
A 19-year-old man from Mabutweni bludgeoned his elder brother to death after accusing him of spending his share US$20 that came from rentals of their home.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Insp Msebele said on August 5 this year the now deceased Gift Mpofu (38) received rentals from a tenant and used it without the knowledge of his younger brother Gibson Mpofu.
On Wednesday the accused went home around 3AM, visibly drunk and demanded his share of the money.
“The now deceased notified his brother that he had used the money. This angered the accused who then took a 50m log and started assaulting his brother all over the body until he fell. The elder brother called for help as he was having difficulties breathing until he died. The accused tried running away but was apprehended by members of the neighbourhood watch committee who also made a police report,” said Ass Insp Msebele.
By A Correspondent- Aspiring legislator for Mabvuku Tafara constituency representing Zanu PF in tomorrow’s by elections Pedzisai Scott Sakupwanya on Thursday doled out freebies to residents which include bread, mealie meal and flour.
Residents received a 10kg bag of maize meal, 2kg packet of flour and a loaf of bread each.
Sakupwanya, a former councillor in Harare, was defeated by the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) candidate Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi in Mabvuku-Tafara at August’s General Elections.
The two men’s names are on the ballot paper again for the by-election following the recall of Kufahakutizwi by Sengezo Tshabangu, a CCC activist who claims to be the party’s interim secretary-general.
The event was attended by ZANU PF Harare provincial chairman Godwills Masimirembwa and ZANU PF Treasurer Patrick Chinamasa.
Chinamasa stood in for Vice President Constantino Chiwenga as Guest of Honour.
Chiwenga was at the Harare Magistrates Court, where his ex-wife Marry Mubaiwa’s attempted murder case was being heard. Said Chinamasa:
The fights in the CCC are an opportunity for us to win, let us win on Saturday. Their issues are not ours, those are their problems.
Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono urged CCC members to assist Kufahakutizwi to ensure that he reclaims the seat. Chin’ono posted on X:
Everyone who can MUST assist the CCC candidate for Mabvuku-Tafara to win back this constituency, this man needs to win it!
… I urge ALL opposition leaders in Harare to go and campaign in Mabvuku, the symbolism of winning this seat will keep our HOPE alive!
By A Correspondent| Chiredzi Magistrate Vimbai Mtukwa on Monday 4 December 2023 acquitted eight Chiredzi residents, who had been on trial for allegedly contravening the provisions of the Maintenance of Peace and Order (MOPO) Act, a repressive piece of legislation, which law enforcement agents have been abusing to ban opposition political party campaign rallies.
Farai Chauke, a 42 year-old lawyer, of Chauke and Associates Legal Practitioners, who is based in Chiredzi in Masvingo province, had been on trial together with eight Chiredzi residents after they were arrested by Zimbabwe Republic Police officers on Wednesday 5 July 2023.
Chauke was arrested together with seven Chiredzi residents namely Mollen Shonhai aged 27 years, Gladmore Gungubu aged 18 years, Kudzai Madyira aged 27 years, Charles Mungate aged 50 years, Lloyd Mushari aged 26 years, Agrippa Dhambureni aged 29 years and Simon Hlomani aged 56 years, when ZRP officers threw teargas canisters at some opposition Citizens Coalition for Change Zimbabwe (CCCZ) political party supporters, who were reportedly gathered outside Tshovani Stadium in Chiredzi in Masvingo province.
Chauke, Shonhai, Gungubu, Madyira, Mungate, Mushari, Dhambureni and Hlomani, were charged with failure to comply with conditions under which a meeting is authorised as defined in section 8(ii) of the MOPO Act.
During trial at Chiredzi Magistrates Court, prosecutors alleged that the eight Chiredzi residents refused to comply with an order in which they were told to disperse from Tshovani Stadium after law enforcement agents prohibited CCCZ political party from holding a campaign rally which had been scheduled for Wednesday 5 July 2023.
Prosecutors claimed that Chauke, Shonhai, Gungubu, Madyira, Mungate, Mushari, Dhambureni and Hlomani, who were represented by Ross Chavi of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights, started singing some political songs and threw stones towards ZRP officers after being told to disperse.
But on Monday 4 November 2023, Magistrate Mtukwa acquitted the eight residents after discharging them at the close of the prosecution case.
In acquitting the eight residents, Magistrate Mtukwa ruled that Chauke, Shonhai, Gungubu, Madyira, Mungate, Mushari, Dhambureni and Hlomani had been apprehended during a dragnet arrest as state witnesses could not recognise and describe the participation of the accused persons in the alleged commission of the offence.

By-The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has withdrawn the candidature of 22 CCC legislators recalled in October from contesting for seats under the party banner in tomorrow’s by-elections in compliance with a High Court order which has nullified their nomination. Several of the recalled MPs and Senators wished to stand again, but the High Court has said that since they were recalled by being expelled from the party, they could not re-contest under the party label. Of the 22 recalled legislators, eight were directly elected under the “first past the post system” while others were elected under the proportional representation system for the National Assembly or Senate. In a statement last night, ZEC chief elections officer, Mr Utloile Silaigwana said they had since withdrawn the ballot papers printed and distributed earlier and would reprint and redistribute new ones that excluded the barred candidates. “Kindly note that this will not affect the number of ballots to be printed and the number remains as notified in the notice published on the 27 November 3023. The printer remains Printing and Minting Company.” Those who won constituency seats in August and who are now barred from standing in by-elections are Prince Dubeko Sibanda (Binga North), Vanya Bright Moyo (Lupane East), Raphael Pashor Sibanda (Cowdray Park), Jane Nocola Watson (Bulawayo South), Ereck Gono (Lobengula Magwegwe), Morgan Ncube (Beitbridge West) Obert Manduna (Nketa) and Desmond Makaza (Mpopoma Mzilikazi) In an interview earlier, ZEC deputy chairperson Ambassador Rodney Kiwa said all was set for the by-elections. The by-elections came after self-imposed CCC interim secretary general, Mr Sengezo Tshabangu, recalled the MPs from Parliament saying they had ceased to members of the party. “We have been able to mobilise all the resources and election materials are available. Naturally most of the election material have been deployed to Bulawayo where most of the voting will be taking place. So yes I can confidently say we are ready,” said Ambassador Kiwa. A total of 266 150 ballot papers are expected to be printed for the conduct of the by-elections for the National Assembly which is expected to serve at least 248 347 voters. This comes as another round of by-elections has been fixed on February 3 in six National Assembly constituencies after Tshabangu recalled 18 CCC legislators last month. The Nomination Court will sit on December 18 to receive names of candidates interested in contesting in the by-elections. The court order barring expelled legislators from standing again will probably still apply. The by-elections will be held in Pelandaba, Goromonzi South, Seke, Chegutu West, Zvimba East and Mkoba North. -Herald
ZANU PF Vice President and Second Secretary Cde Kembo Mohadi has urged the electorate to vote for development-oriented leaders in Saturday’s by-elections.
Cde Mohadi said the ruling party is the only political institution capable of spearheading development in the Matabeleland Region under the Second Republic’s devolution policy.
The Vice President was at Mhali Primary School in Magwegwe, Bulawayo, to drum up support for ZANU PF candidate for Lobengula – Magwegwe Cde Menzies Dube.
He noted that embracing ZANU PF is key to the development and improvement of livelihoods.
“It’s about time the people of Bulawayo and Matabeleland region rethink our political strategy, ZANU PF is the only political institution that can help develop this region, we have to take full advantage of the second republic’s devolution agenda and make sure that we develop Bulawayo ourselves as well as the rest of the region and the road to that is supporting and voting in ZANU PF parliamentarians and stop allowing political chancers to abuse the region by promising things they will never deliver.
“Your only hope is in ZANU PF and the second republic and soon water challenges will be a thing of the past in Bulawayo as we are investing billions of dollars in building the Gwayi- Shangani Lake and the pipeline to Bulawayo. “
Car Mohadi also implored the region to choose parliamentary representatives who are competent to ensure effective representation in the august house.
“Again when you choose your political leaders please give us the best brains from the region so that when the President makes some appointments he has choices. The region people who can articulate issues.”
Nine by-elections, including five in Bulawayo, will be held this Saturday after Citizens Coalition for Change Interim Secretary General Mr Sengezo Tshabangu recalled legislators from Parliament.
Bizarre Twist: Stolen Cellphones Found in Socks Inside Corpse at Mutare Night Club
In a shocking turn of events, revellers at a night club in Chikanga’s TM area in Mutare were startled to discover their stolen cellphones hidden inside knee-high socks on a thief who met a tragic end. The incident unfolded late last Friday when a thief, identified as McDonald Muparutsa (31), was fatally assaulted by his colleague, Lovemore Biggie Nyanzou (26), after a dispute over sharing the stolen loot.
According to Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, the fatal confrontation occurred at Rio Night Club in Chikanga TM. Muparutsa was caught snatching a cellphone from a patron’s pocket, and Nyanzou, having witnessed the theft, confronted him outside the club, demanding a share of the stolen goods. When Muparutsa refused, Nyanzou allegedly head-butted him, leading to his collapse.
As onlookers gave chase and apprehended Nyanzou, police arrived at the scene to find Muparutsa’s lifeless body in a pool of blood. The bizarre twist came when revellers, who had lost their phones during the night, dialed their numbers using other people’s phones and discovered the ringing coming from the deceased Muparutsa’s socks.
Witness Mr Lawrence Zvamunongoda expressed his shock, stating, “It was shocking to see cellphones being retrieved from the deceased person’s socks. I noticed five cellphones being retrieved from the socks.”
The discovery of stolen property hidden within the deceased’s socks adds a surreal element to the tragic incident, leaving the community bewildered and the police investigating the peculiar circumstances surrounding the stolen cellphones and the motive behind the fatal assault.

Chief Justice Luke Malaba, who has been associated with arguably the most controversial rulings in Zimbabwean history, has addressed a Judicial Service Commission leadership conference, emphasizing the importance of fair justice delivery.
Despite his past involvement in rulings criticized for their unfairness, Chief Justice Malaba asserted, “In justice delivery, all people must be treated fairly.” He urged leaders in the Judicial Service to adhere to common standards, emphasizing the necessity of commonality among them.
The conference, themed “Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of leadership in the Judicial Service through the implementation of the strategic plan,” aims to improve the leadership within the judicial system.
CJ Malaba highlighted the significance of commonality in justice delivery, stressing that it ensures equal and fair treatment for every individual, irrespective of their standing in society. He challenged JSC leadership to collaborate with other stakeholders to guarantee fair play in justice delivery.
Despite these statements, skepticism remains regarding Chief Justice Malaba’s commitment to fair justice, given his involvement in past rulings, including the controversial 24 August 2018 constitutional court ruling that raised concerns about the judiciary’s independence.
The Chief Justice acknowledged the people-centric nature of the Constitution, noting that judicial leadership is derived from a consultative process among the citizens of Zimbabwe. He emphasized that leadership within the judiciary is a public trust aimed at administering common interests, particularly justice delivery.
As Chief Justice Malaba calls for commonality and fair treatment in justice delivery, the public remains divided on whether his words can be trusted in light of his past involvement in contentious rulings that have sparked debates about the judiciary’s impartiality. The challenge now lies in the actions that will follow these words and whether they will lead to a tangible improvement in the fairness of justice in Zimbabwe.- Agencies
Free Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala and lay Moreblessing Ali to rest!
05 December 2023
Following the conviction of Moreblessing Ali’s murderer, Pius Jamba Mukandi, CCC Namibia demands justice for the incarcerated Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala. Since it has been proven by the courts of law that Mukandi, a ZANU-PF member butchered our slain activist, the deceased must be allowed to receive a befitting send-off from change champions across the breadth and lengths of the tea-pot-shaped country.
Sikhala is wrongly jailed because he has been representing the bereaved Ali family since the 14th of June 2022. His long pretrial detention remains a thorn in the flesh of all progressive citizens and human rights defenders in the motherland. It was pathetic to witness our ardent change champion, Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala undergoing an operation in leg irons as if he were a criminal. Namibia district reiterates that Job is a political prisoner illegally imprisoned on account of politics. ZANU-PF fears voices of dissent, this attempt to close democratic space must be resisted with equal measure.
It is a pity that Moreblessing Ali remains unburied since her gruesome murder in Nyatsime, Harare in May 2022. The psychological trauma caused by the regime on the bereaved Ali family is now a regional and continental issue. ZANU PF should be compelled to release Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala to ensure that our slain activist, Moreblessing Ali is allowed to rest easy. It is now imperative for all progressive Zimbabweans to amplify their revolutionary voices demanding justice for both Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala and Moreblessing Ali.
Sikhala was vindicated in the case of obstructing justice by the High Court after spending more than 430 days caged at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison. This is a clear case of the weaponization of the judiciary by the desperate regime. CCC Namibia urges citizens to peacefully pent up their outrage advocating for justice, equality, and freedom. Zimbabwe deserves constitutionalism and the rule of law. The illegitimate government should respect the sanctity of life.
Now that Pius Jamba has been convicted, we submit that the murderers of the late CCC activist, Tapfumaneyi Masaya should be brought to book. Pastor Masaya was abducted, tortured, and murdered by suspected state security agents in Harare during a door-to-door campaign. We demand justice for the pastor who was just exercising his political rights in a purported constitutional democracy. Belonging to the yellow juggernaut led by the organic change champion-in-chief, Advocate Nelson Chamisa should never warrant state-sponsored extinction. Let’s unite against state repression in Zimbabwe, we can’t afford to allow dictatorship to take center stage in our body politics.
Rundu Branch’s pragmatic change champion Simbarashe Ndoda encourages citizens across the globe to offer much-needed solidarity for the wrongfully jailed, Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala and the entire family. He further emphasizes that solidarity is a core value of social democracy hence the dire need to flood the courts during his court hearings. CCC Namibia applauds the organic Artuz President, Obert Masaraure for mobilizing solidarity teams for the prisoner of conscience. It remains our obligation to defend political prisoners against concocted charges that are political.
In a nutshell, it is inhuman to keep the deceased and a victim of state-engineered murder for more than 365 days without a vault. Moreblessing Ali was gruesomely murdered and cut into four pieces before she was thrown into a disused well owned by ZANU-PF members resident in Nyatsime, Chitungwiza. The politically inept regime must respect Ali’s children and the entire family. They deserve to decently bury their relative without hurdles.

Nine by-elections, including five in Bulawayo, will be held this Saturday after Citizens Coalition for Change Interim Secretary General Mr Sengezo Tshabangu recalled legislators from Parliament.
I, Simbarashe Chikanza, solemnly swear to recount events that have caused the elected member of Parliament for Mabvuku, Munyaradzi Kufahakutizwi, to fear for his life following the death of one of his constituents.
Upon learning of Bishop Tapfumaneyi Masaya’s death on 13 Nov 2023 and Mr Sengezo Tshabangu’s denials against the Inter Parliamentary Union’s October investigation over his recalls of Nelson Chamisa’s MPs, I initiated my own investigation.
Starting on 23 Nov 2023, I went undercover as ZANU PF aide “Cde Mabhunu,” working for the GoldMafia-implicated Mabvuku Parliamentary candidate, Scott Sakupwanya.
Mr Sengezo Tshabangu accepted me into his ZANU PF support group on WhatsApp without verifying my identity. He seemed content with my Emmerson Mnangagwa portrait, my personal pseudoname, and the legally researched content I was supplying supporting his cause.
BREAKING NEWS: The world's largest union of parliaments, the IPU has ordered Emmerson Mnangagwa's regime to release the incarcerated MP Job Sikhala, and to reverse the Tshabangu recalls of @CCCZimbabwe members of parliament. The announcement means the rogue self appointed SG,… pic.twitter.com/bmMgme5TTB
Mr Sengezo Tshabangu thanked me multiple times for sabotaging Nelson Chamisa’s CCC party through text messages and voice call meetings.
(a) I possess a video collage of these meetings, part of my GOLDMAFIA LIVE FILES documentary, including a video watched by over 18,000 people at around 6.24pm (Zim time) on Monday 4th December 2023 in phonecall during which Mr Tshabangu instructed me to meet him at Crowne Plaza Hotel to conclude our operation sabotaging Nelson Chamisa’s party on behalf of ZANU PF.
(b) The operation to destroy Nelson Chamisa’s party on behalf of Scott Sakupwanya and ZANU PF party was very clear in that Mr Sengezo Tshabangu in writing concurred with the need to assure the ZANU PF candidate Scott Sakupwanya that his seat will be sure for him, and to inform the ZANU PF appointed Speaker Of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda.
(c) Mr Tshabangu even confirmed ZANU PF written communications that Emmerson Mnangagwa’s party is relying on him to destroy Nelson Chamisa’s CCC partynand secure seats for ZANU PF candidates.
During this meeting, Mr Sengezo Tshabangu was to thank me for assisting in crafting (the previous day) a crucial legal letter to the IPU against their investigation with which Mr Tshabangu accuses the institution of violating procedures and unfairly concluding against his character. The IPU has ordered that his recalls of Nelson Chamisa’s elected representatives must be reversed.
The meeting was scheduled for around 6.24 pm at Crowne Plaza Hotel.
I recorded video footage for transparency and later introduced myself during a LIVE video expose on ZimEye Facebook, while I was on the phonecall with Mr Tshabangu on 4 Dec 2023.
After realising that he had been exposed, Mr Sengezo Tshabangu responded to my question with a two-word text message: “pathetic journalism,” accompanies with a short selection of some of the messages we exchanged over the two week period.
He avoided acknowledging phone call records and the legal work I provided him in the independent letter presented to the IPU.
The communication records which prove with impeccable detail that Mr Tshabangu is worse than what the IPU Committee reading calls “an imposter,” he is a ZANU PF agent, working with a man he fully recognises as Scott Sakupwanya’s aide to destroy Parliamentary democracy, were visible to viewers during the LIVE video.
Viewers also heard Mr Tshabangu’s LIVE voice while he spoke with me during the broadcast.
I retain the physical phone handset containing all communications, which is being submitted as evidence to the IPU committee and any court investigation needed.
I also surrender this handset to the Zimbabwean voters who participated in the 2023 elections, as an exhibit.
Furthermore, I have evidence that Scott Sakupwanya and Emmerson Mnangagwa’s nephew, Tongai, met Mr Sengezo Tshabangu at Crowne Plaza Hotel the following day.
As I submit this evidence, I express deep concern for the life of Hon Kufahakutizwi, given Mr Sengezo Tshabangu’s demonstrated intent to conduct a bi-election operation with lethal violence in both the constituency and the rest of the country, and more worries are from evidence of politics financed from money laundering and gold smuggling proceeds, Mr Scott Sakupwanya and his colleagues are seen in the documentary, GoldMafia which findings are authenticated by law enforcement and parliamentary authorities in Southern Africa and Europe.
More horrifying are the damaging falsehoods Mr Sengezo Tshabangu has continued to communicate which violations of the rule of law, seem to be supported by the Zimbabwe judicial bench, in what could further compromise the physical safety of unarmed citizens and in particular their elected representatives.
Signed:
Simbarashe Chikanza. Before me: At Leeds Date: 6 Dec 2023.
By-Former “Mr Ugly”, Mison Sere, has died of suspected drug abuse.
He was 51.
Sere reportedly collapsed while relieving himself in the toilet at his family house in Mabvuku.
H-Metro reported family spokesperson Danny Sere, as saying they believe his death was probably caused by illicit drugs and illegal alcoholic drinks he was consuming. Said Danny:
Mison has been abusing drugs and drinking illicit alcohol for some time.
At one time, he would show signs of mental disturbances due to drugs.
He would move around looking for houses where people are gathered for funerals.
There was no funeral gathering around Mabvuku, which he didn’t attend, just for beer only.
He would spend more than three days camped at a funeral.
Sere won the title of “ugliest person” four times, beating inaugural winner, William Masvinu.
However, his win in 2015 courted controversy as some critics argued that he was too “handsome” to be counted among the contestants.
Sere’s detractors argued that he only had missing teeth and should not be among the ugly contestants.
ZANU PF candidate for Mabvuku-Tafara National Assembly constituency in the 09 December by-elections, Pedzai Sakupwanya, reportedly donated mealie-meal, meat, tomatoes and vegetables for the funeral.
By Showbiz Reporter | In a live-streamed video, Dj Ollah has addressed the swirling rumours surrounding his alleged arrest, vehemently denying the claims. Clarifying the situation, he stated, “I was never arrested; I was only handcuffed and released shortly afterward.”
The incident unfolded at Joina City, where a dispute erupted between Dr. Ollah and law enforcement officers dealing with another driver’s arrest. According to Dr. Ollah, the unidentified driver reversed into his parked car, sparking a heated argument.
Shockingly, even a Good Samaritan who came to Dr. Ollah’s defense during the altercation found himself detained by the officers. Dj. Ollah shared that he was taken to the central police station, where a senior officer intervened, leading to his prompt release.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Dj. Ollah concluded his live video without addressing the fate of the man who had bravely defended him. Questions now linger about the well-being of the Good Samaritan and the circumstances surrounding his arrest. The incident has ignited public concern over the handling of the situation and raises broader questions about law enforcement practices in the area.
By-The Nelson Chamisa-led Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) says it has appealed against a High Court decision to disqualify its candidates from contesting in the 09 December 2023 by-elections.
High Court Judge Justice Never Katiyo, Thursday granted an application by the party’s self-declared interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu to bar recalled CCC candidates from participating in the upcoming by-elections.
CCC’s deputy spokesman Gift Siziba said the party has appealed against the decision by Justice Katiyo at the Supreme Court. He said:
In the Supreme Court, we have appealed against the decision of the High Court to side with Tshabangu at el in removing our candidates from the by-election.
There’s no way we can have an election without candidates that were legitimately nominated.
ZANU PF is afraid of an election, they were rejected even in a flawed election 23rd. We will not accept this, we will fight!
Meanwhile, Tshabangu’s lawyer Advocate Lewis Uriri was reported as saying that the order granted by the High Court today in the case of the recalled CCC MPs standing in by-elections is “declaratory and an appeal will not suspend the order.”
However, CCC legislator, Fadzayi Mahere argued that Uriri’s assertion is incorrect. Said Mahere:
That’s incorrect. An appeal suspends the operation of a court order. In the case of Musa Kika v Luke Malaba CJ HH 287/21, the court held that an appeal suspends an order appealed against including declaratory orders that grant consequential relief such as an interdict.
This is exactly the case in the by-election recalls case. Once an appeal is noted, that order will no longer be operative. That’s the law.
Justice Katiyo barred the 22 recalled CCC Members of the National Assembly from contesting in Saturday’s by-election after ruling that the move by the nomination court to accept their papers was unlawful.
By A Correspondent- The High Court has granted the order sought by self imposed opposition CCC interim secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu, to expunge the names of the recalled legislators and councillors from representing the party in the by-elections slated for this Saturday, 9 December 2023. The fake Citizens Coalition for Change [CCC] secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu had applied to High Court to bar President Chamisa’s CCC candidates to participate in the forthcoming by elections.
The implementation of this High Court judgement means that all President Chamisa’s CCC councillors and members of parliament will not participate on this Saturday’s by election.
In addition, it means that majority of Zanu PF aspiring members of parliament and councillors will win Saturday’s by election uncontested.
On Saturday, Zanu PF will win some council and parliamentary seats uncontested after Tshabangu’s CCC failed to field candidates.
If Zanu PF candidates win Saturday’s by election uncontested, this solidifies the argument that Tshabangu is a Zanu PF proxy working to give Zanu PF two thirds majority.
In Chiredzi Central, Zanu PF won mayoral and deputy mayoral positions for the first time since 2013, after Tshabangu recalled President Chamisa’s CCC two Chiredzi councillors including the mayor.
President Chamisa’s CCC supporters and members urge the party to immediately approach Supreme to challenge [appeal] the High Court decision.
Masvingo urban based President Chamisa’s CCC member Mr Struggle Nyahunda urged all ward 2 Citizens to campaign today for President Chamisa’s CCC candidate Shantel Chiwara, as she will contest on 9th December 2023.
The CCC Masvingo West ward 2 residents will be holding their last campaign for their council candidate Shantel Chiwara today.
CCC Masvingo West ward 2 has already trained its election agents ready to defend CCC votes on 9th December 2023 by election.

By James Gwati-In developments seen to be pushed by the ruling Zanu PF party, the High Court has granted an order sought by CCC imposter Sengezo Tshabangu to block CCC MPs and senators he recalled from participating in the 09 December 2023.
Tshabangu recalled 14 MPs from the National Assembly and eight senators in October, claiming they had ceased to be CCC members.
Presiding over the case, High Court Judge Justice Never Katiyo ruled in favour of Tshabangu. Yesterday, Justice Katiyo reserved the judgment, a development many believed he wanted to consult with Zanu PF before handing over the ruling. Writing on social media after the shocking ruling, CCC deputy spokesperson Gift Siziba threatened mass protests. He wrote: Justice Chitapi has ruled that Tshabangu is an imposter and lacks the authority to recall our members or represent our party CCC. Shockingly, Justice Katiyo has disregarded this ruling and granted Tshabangu the power to prevent our illegally recalled MPs from participating in the upcoming elections. Meanwhile, ZEC has already printed and distributed ballot papers for our candidates in different wards and constituencies in preparation for the by-election. Zimbabwe is currently facing a constitutional crisis that can only be resolved by the highest court, the PEOPLE. We are a peace loving movement but that doesn’t mean we are WEAK.
By A Correspondent- The High Court has granted the order sought by self imposed opposition CCC interim secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu, to expunge the names of the recalled legislators and councillors from representing the party in the by-elections slated for this Saturday, 9 December 2023.
Following the granting of the High Court order, Gift Siziba posted on twitter:
“In the Supreme Court, we have appealed against the decision of the High court to side with Tshabangu at el in removing our candidates from the by-election. There’s no way we can have an election without candidates that were legitimately nominated. Zanupf is afraid of an election, they were rejected even in a flawed election 23rd. We will not accept this, we will fight!”

Silvester Chiundiza
Said Gift Ostallos in a tweet post:
Abduction Alert
Silvester Chiundiza was abducted yesterday 6 Dec 2023 around 5pm in Epworth Ward 7 and was then dumped at his residence at midnight. He was tied and only managed to say that he was forced to drink what he suspects to be poison. His body was full of mud from head to toes. He is in bad shape and is currently hospitalized. #StopTheseAbdctions#NotAnother5Years.
Silvester Chiundiza
We reported a case of abduction of our member Silvester M Chiundiza( 47 years) who was abducted yesterday in Ward 7 in Epworth.
Police have refused to accept our report arguing that the victim, who was brutalized must come and report to the police. We have deployed our legal and welfare team to ensure that our Champion is safe and Justice is served.
This is a the tragedy of a regime that lost and election and has gone after it’s own Citizens. A country where no one is safe to exercise their right.
