ZRP Clears Drax Delish Nguwaya to Collect Over $60 Million of Unnecessary COVID-19 Materials

By A Correspondent | Harare, September 28, 2023 – The Zimbabwe Republic Police has officially cleared Mr. Delish Nguwaya, the director of Drax Consult Sagl, to collect COVID-19 materials valued at over sixty million US dollars, as ruled by the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe. The decision comes after thorough investigations and legal proceedings that have drawn substantial public attention.

In an official statement issued today, the Zimbabwe Republic Police addressed the matter:

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has taken note of the media and public’s inquiries on the arrest of Dilesh Nguwaya of Drax Consult Sagl and wishes to set the record straight on the matter. The Police conducted thorough investigations and duly submitted the docket to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe for consideration. Whilst the docket was still at the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe made a pronouncement (Judgment number SC 66/23 and Civil Appeal number 173/22) and found that the contract between NATPHARM and Drax Consult Sagl was valid. This judgment was subsequently placed before the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe.”

The decision to clear Mr. Nguwaya was based on the following key factors:

  1. Supreme Court Validity Judgment: The Supreme Court of Zimbabwe ruled that the contract between NATPHARM and Drax Consult Sagl was valid.
  2. Lack of Criminal Evidence: The authorities found no evidence of criminal conduct by Drax Consult Sagl, Delish Nguwaya, or NATPHARM in relation to the contract in question.

The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe declined to prosecute Delish Nguwaya on the charges of contravening Section 136 (Fraud) of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23.

Furthermore, both the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe and the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe have determined that the funds paid to Drax Consult Sagl by the Treasury are clean and should be paid to the company for the medicines that were delivered and utilized by various medical facilities in the country.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police emphasized that there are currently no criminal investigations pending against Delish Nguwaya, bringing this high-profile case to a close.

This development marks a significant legal victory for Drax Consult Sagl and Delish Nguwaya, while also addressing public concerns surrounding the COVID-19 materials procurement contract. The decision is expected to have far-reaching implications in the ongoing fight against the pandemic in Zimbabwe.

Mnangagwa Family Covid Tender Corruption Runner Escapes Jail

By- President Emmerson Mnangagwa family’s Covid-19 tender corruption runner Dilesh Nguwaya and his fake company Drax Consult Sagl have been cleared of fraud charges in a case in which they flouted procurement regulations.

In 2020, the media was awash with stories of Nguwaya having flouted procurement regulations and NATPHAM for supplying pharmaceutical sundries.

But surprisingly, the courts have since found no evidence linking Nguwaya to the case, saying the contract between the two parties was above board.
ZRP Spokesperson, Paul Nyathi said, “The police has taken note of the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe and National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe decision on the fact that the money that was paid to Drax Consult Sagl by Treasury had been cleared and deemed clean money which should be paid to Drax Consult Sagl for the medicines which were delivered and consumed by various medical facilities in the country.”
During the initial stages of his trial, Nguwaya, through his legal representative, submitted that all the allegations were meant to taint the businessman and are part of a smear campaign against his person and partners.
In a statement, the National Prosecution Authority, which has been handling the matter, has since declined to prosecute as a result of the clarity in the contract, a development which confirms that no criminal investigation or pending docket is being held against Nguwaya.

Prophet T Fred speaks On Another Demolished House

By- Controversial preacher, T Fred’s house has been demolished by the Harare city authorities.

Below is T Fred’s statement on the demolished house:

Today is a challenging day for me as my residential house has been demolished. It’s a distressing situation, especially considering that six years ago, the Harare City Council legally allocated me a residential stand in Glen View. I followed all the necessary regulations and paperwork to build a small house that I could afford.
Unfortunately, this is not the only hardship I’ve faced . Our church was also demolished 2 years ago, marking the second time I’ve been directly affected by such an event. In the face of these difficulties, I turn to prayer and encourage my fellow church members not to lose heart.
Despite the setbacks, I remain steadfast in my faith and trust that there is a reason why God allows such things to happen. Today, even with my house demolished, I will continue to hold on to my unwavering belief in Him. Furthermore, I am determined to persevere and move forward. That is why I invite everyone to join us tomorrow friday ,29 september at our Night of Revival (pungwe!), which will take place at our new premises located at the corner of High Glen Road and Mushayabhande Road in Glen Norah B, Harare.
So, today may bring challenges, but it also presents an opportunity for renewal and strength. I am resolved to find solace and comfort in my faith, knowing that God has a plan for me, my home, and my church.

DJ Levels, who was being represented by Mr Dumisani Mtombeni was facing charges which prohibit transmission of intimate images without consent.
It was alleged that between September 2021 and November last year, DJ Levels and Shashl were in a love relationship.
It is said that the two had irreconcilable differences that led to their split.
DJ Levels is said to have tracked his ex-lover to Pabloz Nightclub in Borrowdale, Harare with the intention to mend their relationship, but Shashl remained adamant and turned him down.

Disgusting Business Of Genital Mutilation On Africans In Europe

By Nomazulu Thata | How many young lives must be lost before we acknowledge the profound evil of female genital mutilation (FGM) among African girls? FGM is a grim reality that begins in infancy, affecting countless girls both in Africa and Europe. This clandestine and lucrative trade is a criminal offense in Europe and some African nations. Yet, it persists, even evolving to evade detection.

Origins of FGM in African Communities:
The origins of female genital cutting remain unclear. Some suggest it dates back to ancient Egypt (now Sudan) and the Middle East, brought to the African continent through Arab slave trade and the spread of Islam. Today, this practice is deeply ingrained in Sub-Saharan African communities. Shockingly, nine out of ten women in Chad, Burkina Faso, and Mali have undergone FGM. Approximately 30 African countries still engage in FGM practices, and it’s not limited to Sahel regions.

The Persistence of FGM:
Prominent advocate Fadumo Korn of Munich asserts that FGM has persisted for approximately 5000 years. Its eradication demands global efforts from both African and European stakeholders. Sadly, the continuity of FGM is driven by the very mothers perpetuating this tradition and the determination of experienced “grandmothers” who profit from it. These “grandmothers” are even covertly sent as tourists to European countries to perform FGM on girls brought from across Europe.

The Cultural Justification:
In African societies, FGM is primarily employed to control female sexuality. Uncut women are unjustly stigmatized as dishonorable, akin to prostitutes. This practice has evolved into a deeply entrenched cultural norm, signifying a girl’s beauty and cleanliness. The consequences of FGM include chronic pain, excessive bleeding, infections, infertility, psychological trauma, and even higher risks during childbirth.

UN-Women’s Perspective:
UN-Women condemns FGM as one of the most vicious manifestations of patriarchy. It violates fundamental human rights and inflicts lifelong physical and mental harm on women and girls. African countries are signatories to international conventions, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child and CEDAW, which expressly forbid FGM.

Challenges in Eradicating FGM:
Despite global condemnation, FGM continues unabated in many African societies. The practice is upheld by influential older women and faces political obstacles. Even female politicians who openly denounce FGM fear losing elections. Women’s organizations fighting against FGM often struggle to secure the necessary resources. The culture of silence further complicates efforts, as FGM is shrouded in secrecy.

FGM in Europe:
In Europe, some African women seek asylum to protect their daughters from FGM in their home countries. While FGM is illegal in Europe, clandestine clinical procedures persist due to the allure of financial gain. Some girls, not from wealthy families, are cut by grandmothers using non-clinical methods, leading to infections and even death.

Legal Protections and the Role of DieM 25:
European Union (EU) member states have laws against FGM, but the legal consequences need to be clearly outlined to deter potential perpetrators. Criminal syndicates involved in cross-border FGM must face justice. DieM 25, as a political movement, can play a significant role in raising awareness and advocating for the protection of African girls in the EU.

In conclusion, the fight against FGM requires a united, global effort. By shedding light on this issue and actively pursuing legal measures, we can hope to eradicate this cruel practice and protect the rights and well-being of African girls living in Europe. DieM 25, with its political platform, has a crucial role to play in this vital mission..

Zim’s Cyber City Takes Shape

By A Correspondent| Zimbabwe’s highly anticipated high-tech cyber city has taken a significant step forward as 50 villa units have officially gone on sale. This milestone has captured the attention of international cricket luminaries, local pension funds, and Zimbabweans living abroad, signaling the immense potential of the project.

Located in Mount Hampden, western Harare, the construction of this visionary cyber city is set to commence in the coming days. The initial phase aims to deliver 50 villa units out of the proposed 233 within the next one and a half to two years, marking the beginning of a new era of economic and social development.

Mulk Holdings International, the driving force behind this groundbreaking project, is set to make Zimbabwe the first African nation to have a smart city. Mr. Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of Mulk International, revealed these exciting developments during an event celebrating the official commencement of property sales.

He highlighted that civil works were already underway, with the construction of villa units taking place in Dubai.

“In the next few days, we will initiate the first phase, encompassing 50 units out of the 233 villa units, with delivery expected within the next 18 to 24 months,” Mr. Mulk announced.

The comprehensive project is expected to be completed within the subsequent four years, transforming the landscape of Zimbabwe and setting new standards for urban development.

Mr. Mulk envisions the cyber city as a fully functional society, complete with shopping malls, towering edifices, and water bodies. He emphasized that land clearance, landscaping, design, and engineering have been completed, with ongoing local government approvals meeting the majority of requirements.

“It’s poised to become a unique model in Africa; there’ll be no need to fly to Dubai for shopping malls, as the city will offer most of what people travel to Dubai for,” Mr. Mulk explained. With its special economic zone status, all resident imports will be duty-free, further enhancing the city’s appeal.

Beyond its economic contributions, Zim Cyber City aims to elevate tourism in Zimbabwe by offering state-of-the-art infrastructure and world-class amenities, attracting global visitors.

What Do Journalists Gain from Exposing Mnangagwa’s Affair With A Married Girlfriend?

By A Correspondent | What do journalists get from exposing Emmerson Mnangagwa’s affair with a married girlfriend he has just promoted to the position of Attorney General?, asks Thelma Gokuda.

Answer: The responsibility for disclosure is not for journalists but Mr Mnangagwa and the just appointed Attorney General as in line with their code of conduct at work.

I. The Necessity of Public Declaration:

1. **Transparency and Accountability:** Public declaration of private relationships within the workplace fosters transparency and accountability. It ensures that no undue favoritism, bias, or unethical conduct occurs due to undisclosed relationships, which could compromise the integrity of public administration.

2. **Conflict of Interest Mitigation:** Declaring romantic relationships is crucial to identifying potential conflicts of interest. When a superior officer is involved romantically with a subordinate, it is essential to assess whether this relationship might influence decision-making, promotions, or assignments unfairly.

3. **Maintaining Public Trust:** The public’s trust in government institutions relies on the perception of fairness and impartiality. Public declaration of relationships helps maintain public trust by demonstrating a commitment to ethical conduct within civil service.

II. Dangers to the Public Good When Love Affairs Are Not Declared:

1. **Nepotism and Favoritism:** Undisclosed romantic relationships can lead to nepotism and favoritism within the workplace, as decisions may be influenced by personal feelings rather than merit. This can erode morale among employees and damage the reputation of public institutions.

2. **Erosion of Meritocracy:** When relationships are not declared, qualified individuals may be overlooked in favor of those in undisclosed relationships, which undermines the principles of meritocracy and equal opportunity.

3. **Legal Liabilities:** Failure to declare relationships may expose both the civil servant and the government to legal liabilities, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, or misconduct, which can result in costly litigation and reputational damage.

4. **Public Perception:** The public may perceive undisclosed relationships as a lack of transparency and ethical standards within the civil service, which can erode confidence in government institutions and democratic processes.

In light of these considerations, it is strongly recommended that civil servants publicly declare their private relationships, especially romantic ones, with their subordinates. This declaration should be made to relevant supervisory authorities or human resources departments, following established policies and guidelines. By doing so, civil servants can uphold the principles of transparency, fairness, and accountability, thereby contributing to the public good and maintaining public trust in government institutions.

ED never wanted to sign PVO

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have claimed that President Emmerson Mnangagwa never intended to sign the Private Voluntary Organisations (PVOs) Amendment Bill, but used it as a means to intimidate civil society organizations before the August 23 and 24 elections.

Mnangagwa had referred the PVOs Bill back to Parliament just before the polls. The Bill had passed through the National Assembly and Senate but had not been signed and published in the Government Gazette, ultimately lapsing when Parliament was dissolved on the eve of the elections.

Representatives of NGOs have argued that the PVOs Amendment Bill was primarily designed to intimidate and suppress NGOs that were perceived as a threat to Mnangagwa’s reelection bid.

Obert Masaraure, spokesperson for Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, stated that Mnangagwa’s threat to sign the PVOs Bill into law had already achieved its objectives of instilling fear and compliance among civil society organizations.

Legal think-tank Veritas criticized the Bill as vague, badly drafted, and potentially unconstitutional, and recommended that it be discarded. However, the President’s reservations about the Bill led to its referral back to Parliament, where it subsequently lapsed.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum’s acting director, Wilbert Mandinde, emphasized that any Bill under consideration by the 9th Parliament had lapsed on August 27. He clarified that there was no Bill for the 10th Parliament to consider, as the PVOs Bill had been deemed to have lapsed.

In summary, NGOs have accused President Mnangagwa of using the PVOs Amendment Bill as a tool to intimidate civil society organizations ahead of the elections, and they argue that the Bill should now be discarded or reevaluated due to its problematic provisions.

Bail for protesting Zanu PF supporters

By A Correspondent- 12 Zanu PF supporters, who were arrested for participating in an illegal demonstration at the party’s national headquarters in Harare, have been released on bail.

The supporters were on Tuesday this week ordered to pay US$50 bail each and return to court on October 23 for routine remand.

In granting bail, Harare magistrate Apolonia Marutya said the accused demonstrated peacefully, therefore, the issue of public safety raised by the State did not suffice.

She further ruled that all the accused persons are Zimbabwean nationals, so they cannot abscond court or interfere with witnesses.

Prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawu opposed bail last week arguing that while the accused had a right to bail, the right was not absolute. He also argued that they were facing public violence charges hence had the potential to endanger public safety.

Jambawu also argued that the accused were warned by police to stop chanting slogans but did not pay heed, hence the State was of the view that if released on bail they may commit the same offence.

However, defence lawyer Tonderai Chikosha argued that his clients should not suffer while waiting for the police to verify their addresses. He said the accused had no pending cases and, therefore, could not abscond.

Allegations are that the 12 Zanu PF members on September 19 this year, unlawfully disturbed peace and security by ignoring a police order to stop demonstrating against the ruling party’s top brass in Harare province.-newsday

Shall We Go Ahead Drop The V11s Of ED’s Married Girlfriend Now Attorney General?

The ZimEye news network announces its readiness to unveil evidence of an intimate relationship between Zimbabwe’s newly appointed Attorney General, Mrs. Virginia Mabhiza, and ZANU PF President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The revelation has raised concerns about potential nepotism and favoritism within the government, as the nation grapples with significant changes in leadership.

The controversy began when President Mnangagwa made a series of rapid personnel changes within key government positions. First, he replaced the late President Robert Mugabe’s Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) chief-secretary with his cousin, Martin Rushwaya, drawing attention to the growing influence of his inner circle.

However, the most startling development came with the appointment of Mrs. Virginia Mabhiza as the new Attorney General, a move that has left many astonished and concerned. The ZimEye news network, in response to public curiosity, announces its intention to publish evidence of the alleged romantic relationship between President Mnangagwa and Mrs. Mabhiza.

In a statement released at 8 pm in response to a complaint on X (formerly Twitter), an editorial moderator from ZimEye acknowledged their readiness to disclose the evidence, albeit with reservations about the potential embarrassment it could cause to both the senior politician and Mrs. Mabhiza.

These swift and unexpected changes in high-ranking government positions have fueled discussions and debates about the direction of Zimbabwe’s leadership under President Mnangagwa. Many citizens and political observers are now questioning the extent of nepotism and political favoritism within the government.

Parirenyatwa Achieves Remarkable Success in Open Heart Surgery

Harare, Zimbabwe – In a remarkable display of medical excellence, local doctors have demonstrated their world-class capabilities by successfully performing 12 open heart surgeries out of 12 since resuming the procedure in June at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare.

Previously, the hospital ceased offering open heart surgery in 2018, forcing patients to seek treatment abroad, primarily in South Africa and India. However, the hospital has resumed these complex surgeries, and they are being provided free of charge for now.

During an update meeting attended by healthcare specialists, heart surgery patients, and journalists, the joy and relief among the patients were palpable. One patient, Ms. Gladys Ngoshi, who had suffered from heart problems for 34 years, shared her experience. “I was diagnosed with a heart problem when I was eight-years-old. My face and stomach would become swollen. In 2021, I had a heart attack and was told I needed surgery. I was scared, but the doctors reassured me,” Ms. Ngoshi said.

Other patients, like Ms. Stella Zuze and Mr. Courage Chimufombo, shared their stories of recovery and gratitude for the free open heart surgery program. Ms. Zuze, who initially faced age-related concerns, insisted on the surgery and is now in excellent health. Mr. Chimufombo praised President Mnangagwa for making the necessary machinery available for the surgeries.

Ms. Chipo Wezinani, a cross-border trader, expressed pride in Zimbabwean doctors. “I was treated well. I am proud of the Zimbabwean doctors. India and China are now in the country through our local doctors,” she stated.

Specialists cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons Dr. Simukayi Machawira, Dr. Wilfred Muteweye, and Dr. Kudzai Kanyepi lauded the success of the program and called for continued support and recognition. They urged patients to seek treatment locally and for medical aid companies to support the initiative.

Chief sister Ms. Spiwe Mandipa emphasized the rigorous preparation involved in these surgeries and celebrated the positive impact on patients’ lives.

Out of the 12 surgeries performed, one patient sadly passed away weeks later due to an unrelated ailment affecting the intestines. Notably, these life-saving surgeries in India typically cost between US$8,000 to US$15,000, depending on the complexity of the case.

This success marks the beginning of what healthcare professionals hope will be an expanding program, benefiting patients across Zimbabwe and showcasing the country’s medical prowess on a global scale.-state media

‘CIO’ Dupes Farmer 18K

Alleged Impersonator of Central Intelligence Organisation Faces Fraud Charges.

In a startling court appearance yesterday, Walter Makwalo (34) found himself facing 18 counts of fraud as he claimed to be a Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) officer.

The charges stem from allegations that Makwalo swindled a Mt Hampden farmer, Mr. Simon George Lee, out of US$18,000. This sum was paid under the pretense that it was required for a series of bribes, all in an attempt to recover US$170,000 that had been defrauded from Mr. Lee two years prior.

The court hearing, presided over by Harare magistrate Mrs. Marehwanazvo Gofa, saw Makwalo remanded to Friday for his bail ruling.

The complex web of allegations unfolds as Mr. Lee had reported being defrauded of US$170,600 by Gabrielle Arezio and Maurizio Arezio in 2021. In November of the following year, he sought the assistance of Makwalo, following the advice of a friend, Mr. Shadreck Zimondi.

Makwalo allegedly presented himself as an officer commanding operations of the southern region of the Central Intelligence Organisation and promised to help Mr. Lee locate and apprehend the alleged fraudsters while recovering the stolen money. However, this assistance came at a steep price.

According to the prosecution, Makwalo demanded funds to bribe various officials, including police officers, prosecutors, magistrates, prison officers, and even a judge. The total sum extorted from Mr. Lee amounted to US$18,000.

The allegations include payments for police officers, public prosecutors, magistrates, investigating officers, and even high-ranking officials, with Makwalo claiming senior Zanu PF officials and Office of the President and Cabinet bosses required substantial bribes.

These claims culminated in the arrest of Maurizio Arezio and a series of payments demanded by Makwalo, allegedly for various individuals involved in the case, including judges.

Makwalo’s alleged fraudulent actions came to light after Mr. Lee reported the matter to the police. The court is set to delve deeper into this intricate case as it unfolds in the coming days.-state media

By Ryan Chinyangare| To Nkosikhona Holdings and the Republic of Zimbabwe, I would like to express my sincerest apologies for the shame and embarrassment that I brought on the CTX Project and all the stakeholders in the media report released in Dec 2018.
I accept that this act was against the greater good and I should have put the interests of the nation before my own. I deeply regret the course of action I chose to take. It is with due respect that I ask for forgiveness from Nkosikhona Holdings a consortium member of Magcor International and the Government of Zimbabwe through the Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education, Science and Technology for prematurely trying to evoke my commission agreement payment last year I was of the view that after my work with Nkosikhona Holdings and Magcor International in helping them secure the 55,2 Billion dollar CTX Project, on my exit it was rightfully so that I would be paid immediately.

However the plans may have changed after the team’s trip to China and the project has taken a different route. I can confidently confirm that this project is bigger and greater than my personal gains and as such I would like to apologize to Hon. Minister Murwira, one of he most honorable men I have come to know together with the Verify Engineering Executive members, especially Eng Tapfumanei.

Without favor I can confidently say these are patriotic men who I speak in high regard because of their integrity and work ethics. I strongly believe I rushed into taking action against Nkosikhona Holdings a Consortium Member of Magcor International without understanding the dynamic facts of the project.

I strongly believe Nkosikhona Holdings,7 a Consortium Member of Magcor International will not runaway from its due responsibility of paying my commission and as such I see it fit, that I take a step back and allow them to work on this prestigious project that is futuristic which will help & benefit Zimbabwe in the future.

I worked for Nkosikhona Holdings – the executive is one to be respected and be trusted.

They work with honour, love and passion at the same time identifying each other as family despite the different nationalities. It was an honour working with them and I regret the damage that I may have caused to the reputation of this reputable consortium.

It’s also in the view that I would like to personal ask for forgiveness from Mr GM Rousseau and Mike Glynn (Prmident/Founden Magcor International whom I also had the pleasure of working with and I also view with great regard as honorable men.

I should also indicate that my apology is not because I have received any money, but it’s after the realization that Zimbabwe comes first.

Ryan Chinyangare – Former Nkosikhona Holdings Operations Manager.

Talking Coffin Horror In Zhombe

THE mystery behind the gruesome murder of a Zhombe artisanal miner has taken a new twist amid indications that efforts to bury him have hit a brick wall after he allegedly manifested through a relative demanding some missing body parts.

The late Munyaradzi Mvurumo was supposed to be buried last Thursday at his uncle’s place, but the ceremony was cancelled after he allegedly manifested through a relative ostensibly demanding his missing body parts.

Mvurumo, who was found in a disused mine shaft in Zhombe after going missing for some 21 days, has since clocked two months without being buried, amid claims he is giving instructions from the coffin against his interment.

The deceased’s body spent about two weeks on the doorsteps of the accused’s homestead before warring parties reached an agreement to take the body to a mortuary after the intervention of traditional leaders and law enforcement agents.

After marathon meetings, the warring parties agreed to conclude the case by laying the deceased to rest last Thursday, but that too remained wishful thinking.

“Yes, it’s true we are seized by this issue which has become topical in this area. We had reached an agreement to bury the deceased on Thursday, but our plans failed. The deceased manifested in one of the relatives demanding to have his missing body parts located. It’s been a meeting after meeting trying to break the impasse. We have reached an agreement to have another postmortem in Harare after the Bulawayo one failed to provide the necessary results,” said Chief Njelele.

The deceased’s maternal relatives who had prepared his burial place were forced to fill in the grave in the wake of claims that he wants to be buried among his kith and kin.

“The young man’s mother died some six days after he was born. No one knew his mother. However, he is manifesting through his relative telling us about his father who is said to be living in Gweru. He is saying he wants to be buried at his father’s place, so his uncles have since given up on the burial procession,” added Chief Njelele.

The death of the artisanal miner attributed to ritual murder has left relatives in a quandary as they await in vain for the finalisation of the matter.

CCC Namibia demands political and diplomatic pressure on the satanic regime!

27 September 2023.

The peaceful protest is loading at the Zimbabwe House in Windhoek, Namibia as infuriated citizens demand fresh elections and justice for the political prisoner, Wiwa. All progressive citizens resident in Namibia are cordially invited. ZANU PF must go now after Zec’s shambolic flawed elections held on the 23rd of August 2023.

We refuse 5 years of illegitimacy and gross abuse of the fundamental basic human rights. Today is #WiwaWednesday with CCC Namibia. Change champions would now want to graduate from an online #tagprotest to a physical and confrontational one after the shambolic elections. In a few days, we shall politically visit the Zimbabwe Embassy demanding free, fair, credible, and unfettered elections. It is imperative to clamor for freedom, equality, and justice for incarcerated prisoners of conscience.

The rigging of elections commenced with the arbitrary arrest and long pretrial detention of Hon Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala on concocted charges. Jailing our innocent Wiwa was the initial panic button pressed by the satanic regime. Special thanks to President Hakainde Hichilema for deploying Dr. Nevers Mumba as the Head of the SADC Observer Mission. He was a marvel to watch before, during, and after the flawed plebiscite. For the first time, SADC and AU had the guts to expose all the rigging shenanigans employed by ZANU-PF in a futile attempt to hoodwink the unsuspecting citizens of the globe.

Since time immemorial, the regional and continental bodies used to opt for dictators at the expense of innocent inhabitants. President Hakainde Hichilema is anticipated to call an extraordinary summit to discuss the sham elections and the way forward. The people of Zimbabwe have suffered enough since the attainment of flag independence in 1980. The citizenry continues to witness belly politics of plunder and self-enrichment perpetrated by the clueless regime. Masses continue to wallow in abject poverty because of senseless and barefaced corruption.

Rise Zimbabweans in Namibia Rise! Zimbabwe House Fresh Elections Loading Demonstration! Let’s brace for dangerous freedom demanding justice for all political prisoners. After the subversion of the will of the people, citizens continued to see the weaponization of the law by ZANU-PF which is unconstitutional and should be resisted with equal measure. Mukoma Job Saro Wiwa Sikhala has been caged since the 14th of June 2022 to date on trumped-up charges. Standing in solidarity with the bereaved Ali family was Sikhala’s crime according to the goons. It is now or never! Let’s amplify our voices by advocating for genuine liberation to replace this simulacrum of phony independence.

Only fresh free, fair, and credible elections stand as the panacea to socio-economic transfiguration. Credible elections will usher in competent governance, and create employment for the desperate youths and the entire citizenry. The millennial generation should take the initiative to liberate this country from ZANU-PF morons led by the clueless Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. The end of Zanuism shall bring the much-needed rule of law and constitutionalism.

CCC Namibia condemns SA President Cyril Ramaphosa and President Hage Geingob of Namibia for trying to play big brother politics. We urge the duo to respect the people of Zimbabwe. It is quite perturbing that the two always advocate for the removal of targeted sanctions before pushing for the respect of human rights in Zimbabwe. They don’t say anything about the perpetual abuse of human freedoms, rigging of successive elections, and high levels of human butchery on account of politics.

Mboneni Ncube, Nyasha Zhambe, Langelihle Dube, Moreblessing Ali, Chinembiri, and Tinashe Chitsunge, only to mention a few were gruesomely murdered because they support the struggle championed by none other than President Advocate Nelson Chamisa between 2022 and 2023 Change champions should put political and diplomatic pressure on the sadist regime through petitions, demonstrations, and strikes until they return people’s triumph. We urge the two to respect the sanctity of life in Zimbabwe before crying for the removal of sanctions.

It’s senseless looting, corruption, and embezzlement of public funds, not sanctions! They must stop pretending, Zimbabweans are tired of the globe-trotting seeking greener pastures as if they are stateless. The nonsense that they promote in our country will never suffice in the host countries. We deserve better livelihoods in Zimbabwe.

Mnangagwa Panics SADC Extraordinary Summit

By James Gwati- The Wednesday SADC Troika extraordinary summit has placed Zanu PF in panic mode, to the extent of the ruling party calling for urgent sessions of Politburo and Central Committee meetings tomorrow and Saturday.

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema is the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation, hosting the summit to discuss the August 23 sham Zimbabwe elections.

In its preliminary report, SADC cited severe flaws in the last month’s elections. Zanu PF has since denied the preliminary report and accused Zambia of plotting for regime change in Harare.

In a statement published by state media Wednesday, Zanu PF spokesperson Chris Mutsvangwa called for the party’s Thursday and Saturday meetings.
Mutsvangwa, who did not state the agenda of the two meetings, said they will be held at the Zanu PF headquarters in Harare.

Said Mutsvangwa, “There is a Politburo meeting tomorrow, September 28, at 2pm at the Zanu PF headquarters. This will be followed by a Central Committee meeting on September 30, at 10am at the same venue.
“All members should be seated exactly 15 minutes before the above stated times,” said Mutsvangwa

The Stolen Election of 2023: A Testament to Zimbabwe’s Political Decay

By Munyaradzi Mugomeza| The 2023 elections in Zimbabwe were a grim reminder of the country’s unrelenting descent into authoritarianism.

Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU-PF orchestrated a sham process that brazenly subverted the will of the people. Through vote rigging, manipulation of electoral figures, political violence, and coercion at the grassroots level, the regime ensured its continued stranglehold on power.

Saddeningly, the Southern African Development Community (SADC), a regional bloc that should have been a beacon of accountability, proved itself to be a toothless entity—a “big boys club” of liberation movements that turned a blind eye to the glaring irregularities.

This election was not a democratic exercise but an assault on Zimbabwe’s collective aspirations for a fair and just society. Mnangagwa’s declaration as the winner was not a reflection of the people’s choice but the culmination of a calculated and deeply corrupt scheme to maintain ZANU-PF’s dominance.

Vote Rigging and Manipulated Figures

At the heart of the stolen election was the deliberate rigging of votes and manipulation of figures.

Reports of inflated voter rolls, ghost voters, and discrepancies in polling station tallies were widespread. Election observers, including some from SADC, noted irregularities, such as suspiciously high voter turnout in ZANU-PF strongholds and inexplicable delays in releasing results.

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC), which is constitutionally mandated to oversee free and fair elections, acted as an extension of ZANU-PF.

Instead of ensuring transparency, the ZEC facilitated fraud by withholding voter roll data, obstructing opposition agents, and altering vote tallies.

The announcement of Mnangagwa’s victory, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, was a clear indication that the election outcome had been predetermined.

Political Violence and Intimidation

Political violence, a hallmark of ZANU-PF’s electoral strategy, was rampant in the lead-up to the 2023 elections. Opposition supporters were harassed, beaten, and in some cases killed for daring to challenge the regime. The Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) and its leader, Nelson Chamisa, bore the brunt of this violence, as rallies were disrupted, activists arrested, and communities terrorized by state-sponsored militias.

The military, police, and intelligence services were deployed not to protect citizens but to suppress dissent. The regime used these institutions to create a climate of fear, ensuring that voters either stayed away from the polls or cast their ballots for ZANU-PF under duress.

Village Headmen as Agents of Coercion

In rural areas, ZANU-PF weaponized traditional structures to secure votes. Village headmen were coerced into acting as agents of the regime, tasked with conducting headcounts and ensuring their subjects voted for Mnangagwa. These headmen, under threat of losing their positions or access to government aid, became enforcers of ZANU-PF’s agenda.

Villagers were threatened with losing food aid, farming inputs, and other essentials if they were perceived as opposition supporters. The use of food insecurity as a political weapon underscores the regime’s disregard for human dignity and its willingness to exploit the most vulnerable for political gain.

A Complicit and Toothless SADC

While Zimbabweans suffered under this fraudulent process, SADC, which had a mandate to ensure credible elections in the region, failed spectacularly. Initially, SADC observer missions flagged serious concerns about the electoral process, including media bias, voter suppression, and irregularities in the handling of election results.

However, when the time came to hold Mnangagwa and ZANU-PF accountable, SADC faltered. The bloc, dominated by liberation movements that see ZANU-PF as a kindred spirit, chose solidarity over principle. Instead of standing with the people of Zimbabwe, SADC leaders endorsed the election results, perpetuating the culture of impunity that has long plagued the region.

SADC’s failure to act decisively has cemented its reputation as a “big boys club” of liberation movements—a body more concerned with protecting its members than upholding democracy. This complicity not only betrays Zimbabweans but undermines the credibility of the region as a whole.

The Stashing of Votes: A Pre-orchestrated Outcome

In the days following the election, reports emerged of ballot boxes being stuffed with pre-marked votes for Mnangagwa. Opposition agents were barred from several polling stations, particularly in rural areas where ZANU-PF has traditionally wielded unchecked influence.

Moreover, independent observers reported discrepancies between polling station figures and the final results announced by the ZEC. These stashed votes, carefully hidden and only brought out to tip the scales in Mnangagwa’s favor, exemplify the lengths to which the regime went to secure victory.

The fact that Mnangagwa was declared the winner despite these glaring irregularities is a testament to the regime’s brazen disregard for the will of the people. The election was not won; it was stolen.

The Human Cost of a Stolen Election

The ramifications of this stolen election are devastating. For ordinary Zimbabweans, the continuation of ZANU-PF’s rule means more of the same: economic collapse, rampant corruption, and political repression. The promise of a better future has been snatched away, replaced by the grim reality of living under a regime that prioritizes its survival over the welfare of the nation.

The opposition, which fought valiantly against insurmountable odds, has been left to regroup in the face of yet another defeat engineered by an entrenched system of fraud and violence. For many Zimbabweans, hope feels like a luxury they can no longer afford.

Conclusion: A Call to Action

The 2023 elections were a stark reminder that Zimbabwe’s struggle for democracy is far from over. Mnangagwa’s regime, like that of his predecessor Robert Mugabe, is built on lies, intimidation, and the systematic subversion of the people’s will. Yet, history has shown that no dictatorship lasts forever.

Chamisa MP Arrested For 2021 Traffic Offence

By-CCC Member of Parliament for Bulawayo Central legislator Mr Surrender Kapoikulu is set to appear in court for negligent driving which resulted in a head-on collision with another vehicle in 2021.
The incident occurred on June 21, 2021 at around 7pm along Burnside Road in Bulawayo.
According to court papers, Kapoikulu was driving a Jeep Ranger registered under his name when he encroached onto the lane of oncoming traffic, resulting in him ramming into a Toyota Hilux which was being driven by Mr Mayibongwe Ncube.
As a result of the accident, three people who were in Kapoikulu’s vehicle sustained injuries and had to be rushed to hospital for treatment. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
Police attended the scene and established that Kapoikulu was on the wrong side of the law.
Kapoikulu is facing charges of negligent driving. He allegedly failed to keep a proper look out for oncoming traffic, speeding and failed to stop or react reasonably when the accident seemed imminent.
The legislator was supposed to appear in court on September 8 but defaulted resulting in a warrant of arrest being issued against him.
The warrant of arrest was later cancelled after his lawyer appeared in court on his behalf on Monday, and a trial date has been set for October 23.
Mr Kapoikulu is already facing other charges relating to defacing political posters and criminal insults.
He is being jointly accused with five other CCC members including MP for Pelandaba-Tshabalala, Gift Ostallos Siziba, Simbarashe Dube (Ward 20 councillor), former Ward 20 councillor Ernest Rafamoyo and party members Lovewell Mwinde and Tendai Masotsha. The six are charged with defacing a political poster.
The complainant, in this case, is fellow CCC member Ms Soneni Moyo, who was an aspiring member of the Pelandaba-Tshabalala Constituency, which was won by Siziba.
It was stated that on August 11, Kapoikulu, Rafamoyo, Masotsha, Siziva, and Dube went to Ms Moyo’s residence in Nkulumane, parked their cars at her gate and hurled insults at her, accusing the complainant of being a sell-out and a prostitute.
On August 16 at around midday, the accused persons went to Pelandaba Business Centre and removed Ms Moyo’s campaign posters, which were pasted on walls and electricity pylons.
A report was made to the police leading to their arrest.
They were remanded out of custody until September 29. Chronicle

Mnangagwa Promotes Own Married Girlfriend To Attorney General Post

By Farai D Hove | In a rapid series of changes, Emmerson Mnangagwa has made two major appointments within 24 hours, further reshaping the political landscape in Zimbabwe. First, Mnangagwa replaced the late President Robert Mugabe’s Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) chief-secretary with his cousin, Martin Rushwaya.

However, the most significant move came shortly after, as Mnangagwa appointed his own girlfriend to the position of Attorney General. This surprising decision has sent shockwaves through the political circles of Zimbabwe, raising questions about nepotism and political favoritism within the government.

These swift and unexpected changes in high-ranking positions are sure to generate discussions and debates about the direction of Zimbabwe’s leadership under President Mnangagwa. Stay tuned for more updates as this story continues to unfold.

Avoid Overspending In Mining

In business you invest with the aim of making profit long term and sustainable. Inorder to do that just make a small informal business by listing what you need with exact value don’t forget to include monitoring expenses identify a claim close to you or never invest . If you are still tempted to invest far increase scope of investment so that all you will be able to all final production activities month end .
2 nothing can replace your presence
Gold is a currency that can be used without any purification or processing and around Zimbabwe you find gold nuggets of 5points upto 10kg your absence means you won’t be able to see it or account for production done using your own money. Be there from day one study everything learn all risks and rewards.

Your kids , wife and relatives are not you they can steal from you infact most gold related theft or lack of accountability is orchestrated by related especially the son or daughter in most cases l have come across.

Besides stealing they usually unknowingly disturb or sabotage production in the name of relative. All gold production ends are guarded by mine owner , sponsors or investors and workers nothing is left to chance.

3 avoid overspending on monitoring
Avoid driving up and down to the mine in the name of monitoring because it’s useless and unnecessary unless you spend atleast 6hrs of day time at the mine use public transport and avoid hiring transport for transactions that don’t need a car .

If you want to use a car increase your investment scope to accommodate the car .when ever gold pays you handsomely remember they are dark days ahead plan wisely and create proper backup.

“We had said to @ZECzim even in a flawed process, they were supposed to announce accurate results. The 52.6% awarded to Mr. Mnangagwa does not even represent ZEC’s flawed process. The announced results do not align with what the ZEC gathered from polling stations. This 52.6% cannot be verified and does not reflect the true will of the Zimbabwean people. The mood when the results were announced tells a story in itself; no data is needed to prove it. It was a somber atmosphere, akin to a funeral. The day after the flawed election, Zimbabweans were concerned, shocked, and saddened because they knew that the announced results did not reflect their true votes.” @Cde_Ostallos #FreshElectionsZW??

Mystery Over Zhombe Talking Coffin

Sithembiso Nyoni At Risk Of Losing Ministerial Seat

MDC-T losing Nkayi North candidate Chief Ndlovu is challenging ZANU PF’s Sithembiso Nyoni’s victory in the 23 August 2023 Harmonised Elections due to the unusually high number of assisted voters, reported CITE.

Nyoni won the election with 5 492 votes, Ndlovu polled 4 065 votes, and CCC’s Mandla Ndlovu garnered 3 110 votes.

She has since been appointed as the Minister of Industry and Commerce.

Ndlovu has approached the Electoral Court seeking the nullification of Moyo’s victory arguing that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) failed to conduct the elections according to the principles laid down in the Electoral Act in respect to assisted voters.

In his affidavit, Ndlovu, who is represented by Lovemore Madhuku, argued that more 1 500 voters were assisted to vote, a figure of more than 12 percent of the persons who voted.

Ndlovu is seeking a declaration that Nyoni was not duly elected on 23 August 2023 as a member of the National Assembly for the Nkayi North constituency and that Nyoni’s seat in the National Assembly is vacant forthwith.

He is also seeking an order directing the Speaker of the National Assembly to inform the President that a vacancy has arisen in respect of the Nkayi North Constituency.

Sikhala’s Freedom Bid Dismissed Again

Harare magistrate, Yeukai Dzuda, dismissed former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) MP Job Sikhala’s application for discharge in a disorderly conduct case.

Sikhala is jointly charged with Chitungwiza mayor Lovemore Maiko.

They have expressed their intention to appeal at the High Court, as they believe Dzuda’s ruling was unreasonable.

Dzuda stated that the prosecution had a strong case, and thus, Sikhala and Maiko should proceed with their defense case.

Jeremiah Bamu, representing Sikhala, announced their plan to take the matter to the High Court.

He mentioned their intent to file a review based on the court’s factual findings and the need for time to prepare their case, aiming to file it before the end of the week.

Dzuda clarified that she lacked the authority to pause the trial and postponed the matter to October 24 for continuation.

The State alleges that Sikhala, Maiko, and other CCC members disrupted a Zanu-PF rally for the aspiring ward 7 Zengeza West councillor Charamba Mlambo ahead of the March 2022 by-elections.

They purportedly led CCC supporters to the rally’s location and began pelting Zanu-PF supporters with stones.

Crisis Coalition reaches out to SADC

The Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition (CiZC), the largest coalition of civil society organizations in Zimbabwe, has reached out to the current Southern African Development Community (Sadc) chairperson, President João Lourenço of Angola, seeking assistance in calling for a fresh election.

In a letter dated September 18, CiZC chairperson Peter Mutasa highlighted that Sadc has a critical role to play in holding the Zimbabwean government and its institutions accountable. He expressed concerns that the recent elections in Zimbabwe were not considered free, fair, or credible, as indicated in reports from various election observer missions, including Sadc’s own observer mission.

Mutasa humbly requested President Lourenço’s diplomatic engagement with Harare to help Zimbabwe return to majority rule, emphasizing that the current electoral situation is not conducive for the country, Sadc, or the African Union.

He argued that the people of Zimbabwe, as citizens of Sadc, should receive the same protection from the regional bloc as those in Northern Mozambique or the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Mutasa urged President Lourenço to help Sadc prevent “electoral coups” in the region, noting that Zimbabwe’s contested elections and governmental legitimacy issues were hindering economic recovery and sustainable growth.

As a way forward, Mutasa asked President Lourenço to convene an extraordinary Sadc summit to receive reports from all parties involved, including the Zimbabwean government and civil society.

The main opposition party, Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has also revealed its engagement with Sadc leaders to intervene and resolve the electoral result crisis in Zimbabwe.

Police Stumbles On Python Skin While Arresting A Self Styled Prophet For Assault

In Chitungwiza, a self-styled Prophet was apprehended earlier this week following the discovery of a three-meter-long python skin in his possession.

Law enforcement officials disclosed that the prophet, identified as Comrade Chinaka, aged 43, had concealed the python skin under his bed.

The python skin came to light during the investigation of another case where the self-proclaimed prophet was arrested for assault. The discovery was made as his wife was packing their belongings.

“Police in Harare have arrested a self proclaimed prophet, Comrade Chinaka (43) for possessing a python skin, approximately three metres long. The python skin was found under the bed at the suspect’s house along Chipo Road ,Zengeza 3 on 24/09/23, as the suspect’s wife was packing their property to vacate the house following the arrest of the suspect for a case of assault,” said the police.

“We (povo) lacked strategic thinking for electoral victory.” Quick burning grass fire passion will never bring change.

By Wilbert Mukori- The Zimbabwe electorate’s political activism is like a grass fire, it will flares up but very quickly die down because there was not much to burn. Similarly there is not much in-depth knowledge of any substantive issues to sustain the average voter’s interest beyond a few months before the elections. Their interest die down completely to be revived for another short period before the next elections. The cycle is too short for any meaningful campaign meaningful political change demand.

“We lacked unity of purpose and are divided in our thoughts. We were supposed to rebut and refute all elections. ZEC would have seen that its elections were a sham. We lack strategic thinking!” argued one in one of whatsApp groups I belong.

The groups used to have as many as fifty posted messages every hour as the political activity peaked with the voting and announcing of the results of 28 August 2023. The activity has died down to ten or less political texts a day as the usual social gossip picked up.

The we in “we lacked unity and strategic thinking” referred to CCC wildebeest herd as well as the party leaders. The two are completely separate and distinct. The leaders have known all along that these elections were flawed and that participating would only be giving legitimacy to Zanu PF; the herd have no clue and have followed the leaders blindly like sheep to the slaughter.

Leaders like Tendai Biti and David Coltart admitted of the sheer futility of participating in these flawed elections and have, no doubt, tried to talk their colleagues into stopping this madness. But when they realised their advice was falling on deaf ears, they too decided to join in.

“The (2013) electoral process was so flawed, so illegal, that the only logical step was to withdraw, which would compel SADC to hold Zanu PF to account. But such was the distrust between the MDC-T and MDC-N that neither could withdraw for fear that the other would remain in the elections, winning seats and giving the process credibility,” confessed David Coltart in his Book, The Struggle Continues 50 years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe.

It should be noted here that CCC leaders still went on to stoically take their oath of office and their seats on the gravy train even when SADC and AU had condemned the 2023 elections as a sham. Of course, CCC leaders had all along the election process were sham and having this confirmed changed nothing; they were after the few gravy train seats Zanu PF was offering as bait, do not care the elections were a sham and a sell out of the national cause of ending the curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

In 2018 Mnangagwa created POLAD; a superfluous body of all the losing presidential candidates who publicly endorsed him as the legitimate winner; to increase the opposition bait. POLAD members were pampered with a US$60 000 twin cab truck each plus other freebies.

Indeed, the POLAD freebies opened the flood gates of opposition wannabes Zanu PF increased the nomination fees for presidential candidates from US$ 1 000 to US$ 20 000 just to dampen the flow. There were 11 presidential candidates in this 2023 rat race.

Mnangagwa and Chamisa garnered 52% and 44% of the votes respectively, according to ZEC, and the remaining 9 candidates shared the 4%. No doubt most, if not all the 9 losers, would happily endorse that the 2023 elections were free, fair and credible; contradicting the SADC, AU and all the other election observers’ reports; just to secure their POLAD freebies.

Nelson Chamisa and his CCC friends and the rest who have been participating in these flawed elections are just the modern day Abel Muzorewa and Ndabaningi Sithole and their followers. The later participated in the 1978 Zimbabwe – Rhodesia elections knowing fully well that the arrangement rendered blacks second class citizens, at best, and that doing so would undermine the fight for independence and equality. They went ahead and participated regardless out of greed, just as Chamisa and doing now.

“Thinking”, much less “strategic thinking”, is a luxury that the wildebeest herd does not have and never had. If they did then alarm bells would have started ringing when it became clear MDC/CCC leaders had not only sold out by failing to implement even one reform in 23 years, 5 of which in the GNU but had abandoned reforms out of greed.

Zimbabwe’s hope of ending the Zanu PF dictatorship is not in the hands of the corrupt and breathtakingly incompetent CCC nor in the naive and ignorant electorate. The nation’s salvation/ damnation is in the hands of SADC leaders.

The SADC and AU election observer teams’ damning reports are crystal clear, Zimbabwe’s 23 August 2023 election process was so flawed and illegal it could not produce a legitimate government. If SADC leaders up hold the reports and deny Zanu PF legitimacy, this will force the country to have a new GNU as happened in 2008 to 2013.

One hopes the new GNU will implement all the democratic reforms, unlike the last one which failed to implement even one reform, and finally cure the nation of the curse of rigged elections and bad governance.

However, if the SADC leaders should decide to water down the damning report, by reducing the report’s serious flaws and illegalities into mere “challenges” as President Cyril Ramaphosa has already done. Then Zanu PF would be let off the hook and granted political legitimacy. And Zimbabwe will be condemned to another five more years of this corrupt and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship, the failed state and all else that entails.

President Ramaphosa and his ANC friend passed a party congress resolution last November “not to allow regime change in Zimbabwe”. The ANC regime is clearly hell bent on granting Zanu PF legitimacy, even to the extend of doing so regardless of SADC’s own election observers having stated categorically  that Zanu PF rigged the 23 August 2023 elections!

Students In Hot Soup After Sexually Abusing Form 1 Learner During Break Time

By A Correspondent| The Zimbabwe Republic Police has voiced serious apprehension regarding the escalating incidences of school-related pupil misconduct during learning sessions.

This follows an incident at a school in Waterfalls, Harare, where two Form 2 students were reported to have sexually assaulted a Form 1 learner on the school premises during the break period.

Authorities disclosed that the three students were consuming beer in violation of school regulations during the designated break time.

“The ZRP is concerned with reports of students who are drinking beer at school premises and urges school authorities to monitor the students even when they are at break or lunch at school grounds. On 25/09/23 a Form One female student was sexually abused by a Form Two male student following a beer drinking spree with other students during break time at the school grounds in Waterfalls, Harare,” the police said.

Komichi Begs Mnangagwa To Release Job Sikhala

MDC-T chairman Morgen Komichi has pleaded with President Emmerson Mnangagwa to release jailed Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) member, Job Sikhala who has been in pretrial detention for over a year.

Komichi said this after paying the incarcerated former legislator a visit at Chikurubi Maximum Prison on Monday.

Sikhala has been in jail since June 14 last year after he was arrested together with other CCC activists for allegedly inciting public violence following the murder of Moreblessing Ali by a suspected Zanu PF supporter.

Sikhala was representing Ali’s family when he was arrested, a move the opposition says was politically motivated.

“Zimbabwe is a multi-party democracy which allows opposition parties. Opposition members must not be treated like murderers.

“Mnangagwa must soften his heart and allow Sikhala to be granted bail so he can go through trial while coming from home.

“I am appealing to Mnangagwa to show leadership and let Sikhala get bail,” Komichi said.

Meanwhile in May this year, Sikhala was found guilty of obstruction of justice and is now on trial on additional charges of inciting violence and disorderly conduct.

The opposition, regional and international community have slammed his continued incarceration which has seen him denied bail several times.

Human rights defenders have also expressed concern over the weaponisation of the judiciary to silence dissenting voices by the ruling party.

Latest to Sikhala application

CCC MP hauled to court over negligent driving

By A Correspondent- Bulawayo Central legislator, Mr. Surrender Kapoikulu, representing the Citizens for Coalition Change (CCC), is facing court charges for negligent driving that resulted in a head-on collision with another vehicle in 2021.

The incident took place on June 21, 2021, at approximately 7 pm along Burnside Road in Bulawayo. According to legal documents, Kapoikulu was driving a Jeep Ranger registered under his name when he veered into the lane of oncoming traffic, causing a collision with a Toyota Hilux driven by Mr. Mayibongwe Ncube.

The collision resulted in injuries to three individuals who were in Kapoikulu’s vehicle, requiring hospital treatment. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

Police investigations determined that Kapoikulu was at fault in the incident. He is now facing charges of negligent driving, specifically for failing to maintain a proper lookout for oncoming traffic, speeding, and not taking reasonable action to prevent the accident.

Kapoikulu was initially scheduled to appear in court on September 8 but failed to do so, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant against him. However, the warrant was subsequently canceled after his lawyer appeared in court on his behalf on Monday. A trial date has been set for October 23.

In addition to the negligent driving charge, Mr. Kapoikulu is facing other legal matters, including charges related to defacing political posters and criminal insults. He is co-accused with five other CCC members, including MP for Pelandaba-Tshabalala, Gift Ostallos Siziba, Simbarashe Dube (Ward 20 councillor), former Ward 20 councillor Ernest Rafamoyo, and party members Lovewell Mwinde and Tendai Masotsha. They are collectively charged with defacing a political poster.

The complainant in the case is fellow CCC member Ms. Soneni Moyo, who aspired to represent the Pelandaba-Tshabalala Constituency, won by Siziba. It is alleged that on August 11, Kapoikulu, Rafamoyo, Masotsha, Siziva, and Dube went to Ms. Moyo’s residence in Nkulumane, parked their cars at her gate, and hurled insults at her, accusing her of being a sell-out and making derogatory remarks.

On August 16, the accused individuals reportedly removed Ms. Moyo’s campaign posters, which were affixed to walls and electricity pylons at Pelandaba Business Centre.

A police report was filed, leading to their arrest, and they have been granted bail until September 29.

Zimbabweans in Canada Protest Sikhala’s Continued Detention

A group of Zimbabweans based in Canada Monday thronged the Zimbabwean embassy protesting, demanding for the release of former Zengeza West legislator Job Sikhala, who has been incarcerated for over 15 months.

The demonstrators, members of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), condemned what they described as the Zanu PF government’s persistent disregard for human rights.

Zimbabweans in Canada protesting at the Zimbabwe embassy

Sikhala was arrested on June 14, 2022, and charged with incitement to commit public violence under Section 187(1)(a) as read with Section 36(a) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act. Despite multiple attempts to secure bail, the outspoken politician remains behind bars.
“We are here to express our outrage at the continued detention of Honourable Job Sikhala,” said Amos Tembo, a member of the CCC party.

Amos Tembo, one of the participants in the Free Job Sikhala protest at Zimbabwean Embassy in Canada

“The government of Zimbabwe, under Emmerson Mnangagwa, has shown blatant disregard for human rights. Bail is a constitutional right, yet the compromised judiciary continues to frustrate Honourable Sikhala,” he added.

Tembo, who narrowly escaped arrest when the ‘Nyatsime 16’ were arrested, vowed that the protests would continue until Sikhala and the ‘Nyatsime 16’release.

“If Mnangagwa does not release Sikhala and some of our CCC members, we will keep returning every week. Zimbabwe belongs to all its citizens, not to Mnangagwa and his corrupt, incompetent clique,” he added.

Another protestor, Mark Musarurwa, vowed that demonstrations would continue until Sikhala is freed, emphasizing their duty to expose Zimbabwe’s human rights violations to the international community, particularly in Canada, where they are based.

“We have a duty to highlight the plight of human rights defenders in Zimbabwe to the international community, especially Canada, where we are based. The Zanu PF administration has continued to disregard the rights of citizens. We will not stop protesting until Sikhala is released. There are worse criminals, some who are linked to the President himself—they continue to enjoy immunity while those who champion citizen rights are being jailed for no reason. That has to stop, and it’s high time the international community call Mnangagwa to order,” said Musarurwa.

The protestors chanted slogans, sang songs, and submitted a petition to embassy officials, demanding an end to what they called “state-sponsored injustice.”

They warned that their picketing would persist until authorities in Harare release Sikhala and the Nyatsime 16 are released.

Zimbabwe’s human rights record has come under increasing scrutiny during Mnangagwa’s tenure, with numerous activists—including Jacob Ngarivhume, Fadzayi Mahere, and Hopewell Chin’ono—facing prolonged detention after being denied bail by the lower courts.

Critics argue that this pattern reflects a broader erosion of the rule of law, with the judiciary often accused of acting as an instrument of the executive to silence dissent.

Mnangagwa is out to render all City Council Councillors useless and ineffective by appointing ZanuPF blueboy commissioners.

ZanuPF has already started the process of identifying potential commissioners for each City. The strategy is make sure they neutralize the CCC dominated Council with ZanuPF members.

In Masvingo former Town Clerk Adlof Gusha ,a well known ZanuPF activist is one tipped to leading a ten team of Commissioners to be deployed to the City Council.

These Commissioners will have no voting powers in Chambers but are going to push for consensus on topical issues. A list of Identified commissioners for Masvingo is still being vetted by the ZanuPF and Security department. The other commissioners’ names are still under consideration whilst some have already been notified.

ZanuPF sometime ago appointed special Councillors to City Councils. In Masvingo ZanuPF appointed former Town Clerk Mhangami , former Councillor Mabaya and Mai Chiturumani. It seems ZanuPF is trying to bring the same strategy through the backdoor. This time they have been termed commissioners instead of special Councillors.Mugabe’s strategy is being repeated by the so called second republic.

ZanuPF won only one seat out of ten in Masvingo City Council. In Urban centres ,ZanuPF failed to use FAZ to intimidate voters.

CCC must be prepared to guard areas of autonomy jealously. The Commissioners are going to be a burden to the ratepayers. Their sitting allowances, renumeration and welfare will be catered for by the ratepayers. If ZanuPF was genuine about improving quality to City service delivery system then a none partisan appointment of Commissioners was most welcome.

ZanuPF is forcing a rejected party on the people. The urban people know very well that ZanuPF policies have failed to work.

“Mnangagwa knows very well that he is a village head. He has no control over Urban centres. How do you claim to be President when you can’t control a single city?” said Elson Masungwa of Rujeko ward 7.

” If Mnangagwa wants to bring his rejected sons and daughters through the backdoor then we will stop paying rates. We cant be forced into a marriage with a devil? This will be rape of the ballot by ZanuPF.Is it constitutional ? ” said Selipa Mapatsi a vendor in ward 6.

Mystery Over Talking Coffin

Top Cleric Pushes For ED, Chamisa GNU Talks

By News24-A respected Zimbabwean religious leader has proposed incarcerating its president and his opposition rival in the name of peace.

It would take “courage and wisdom” for Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his rival, Nelson Chamisa, to put the interests of the country ahead of their own, but locking them up could help, Roman Catholic cleric, Father Fidelis Mukonori said.

In Conversation with media personality Trevor Ncube, Mukonori, suggested the following to solve the impasse between the two:

  • Let’s do it the Catholic way and put them in a house and they discuss and decide until they’re true.
  • Give them food inside, they eat, we lock the room, and you don’t come out until you are done.

He said Mnangagwa and Chamisa “know me well now” after he interacted with them separately over the years.

If he were to meet them again over the current political impasse, he would remind them that between 70 000 and 100 000 lives have been lost due to political contestations as far back as the war of independence in the 1970s, he said.

“Why should they play with human lives? This kind of ‘you stole my votes’, ‘I didn’t steal your votes’ can end up with people wanting to go back to the bush [to fight],” he said.

Mukonori has been a constant feature in Zimbabwean politics since the struggle for independence in the 1970s, and is credited with some of the country’s biggest negotiated breakthroughs.

He was involved in brokering the 2009 to 2013 Government of National Unity (GNU) that brought together Robert Mugabe and Morgan Tsvangirai.

ears in the workers union space. Well before that, he was a sounding board for Mugabe and other nationalists during the war of independence.

Talks between Mugabe and Tsvangirai began in private with Mukonori at the centre before the Frontline States (FLS), a loose coalition of African countries from the 1960s to the early 1990s that was committed to ending apartheid and white minority rule in South Africa and present-day Zimbabwe, were involved.

As such, when former South African president, Thabo Mbeki, got involved, much ground had been covered, Mukonori said.

Drawing lessons from this, it could work if talks between Chamisa and Mnangagwa were home-brewed before a buy-in from the SADC region.

“I prefer to do things quietly. Once you go in public, politicians start grandstanding,” Mukonori said.

The last negotiation in Zimbabwe that Mukonori oversaw was when Mugabe stepped down in November 2017 after military tanks rolled into Harare, effectively ending his 37 years in power and the eventual rise of Mnangagwa.

Ex-Zambian President Blocked From Political Jogging

By- Police in Zambia have banned the country’s former President Edgar Lungu from jogging.

Lusaka Times reports that authorities have seen Lungu’s public jogs as political activism.

Lungu’s weekly runs with members of the public and his party supporters have gained significant attention. The police have ordered him to seek approval for future jogging events, stating that failure to do so breaches the law and jeopardizes public safety. In a recent statement, Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said:

The Zambia Police Service has noted with concern the unlawful assembly and political activism that was conducted by Patriotic Front cadres on Saturday, September 23, 2023, when the Former President Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu was conducting his morning jogging routine.

We would like to warn the Patriotic Front cadres that public gatherings or demonstrations, including political events, should be notified to the police as by law established. Failure to do so amounts to a breach of the law. This is to ensure public safety, traffic management, and to prevent disruptions to the daily lives of citizens.

However, Lungu’s lawyer Makebu Zulu has asserted that he will continue jogging without notifying the police and may take legal action if obstructed. He told BBC News:

Mr Lungu has been jogging since time immemorial and his motivation has never been to contravene the law.

The BBC says the so called restriction on Lungu’s activities follows previous restrictive directives, including being blocked from travelling to South Korea for a conference. Despite announcing his retirement from politics after losing the 2021 election, Lungu has recently been reemerging in the public eye, leading to speculation that he plans to contest the presidency in 2026. Lungu allegedly aims to capitalize on public discontent over rising fuel and food prices in the upcoming elections.

President Hakainde Hichilema’s government has faced criticism with UK based lawyer, Brighton Mutebuka also issuing caution.

Commenting on the development, ZimEye’ Simba Chikanza said

I am not aware of any restrictions on Edgar Lungu, and outsiders constantly get tempted to swallow any political scream as substance.

I’m of the opinion that Brighton Mutebuka and others might be too academic and removed from the reality of what even Human Rights Watch has warned of Edgar Lungu, who I personally engaged during the dark transition period.

HRW’s comments and warnings concerning the power Lungu possesses after leaving power should serve as a guide. Mutebuka doesn’t seem to understand that Edgar Lungu has declared real militant war on Hichilema to the point of saying he won’t finish his term before being removed. That is no small talk and any analyst should be aware that the dynamics at play are not of any political nature but of ongoing sabotage by a former president, who was no president during his tenure but a terrorist leading a militant group that seeks to mutilate the institutions and the economic pillars just so to seize back power. Such people are not politicians and all lawyers should know the type of operator is no ordinary citizen, but the type who should even be slapped with life bans on leading anything.

I also think the Human Rights Watch warnings should be utilized by prosecutors to put Lungu in his rightful place regarding terrorism and such related crime. The deportation of Tendai Biti, which was a coup aided by Mr Lungu in his personal capacity should be processed by Zambian courts.

This was a heinous crime being part and parcle of a pre meditated overthrowal of an elected government even announced on the ZBC news channel in very clear terms that soldiers were being used to change election results.

Lawyers handling the case have already passed opinion that this can be taken up, even as a civil litigation case.

The violation needs to be litigated since it happened in Zambia and the ZED government has not done justice to itself by allowing it to go unpunished. The punishment doesn’t have to be physical, since there are some other considerations, but once the ruling is passed, even as a civil case, it helps to fix this cancer that could tear the nation apart one day.

I challenge my brother Mutebuka to take a peep at this matter and collaborate with his Zambian colleagues as this is the real meat of the matter at stake regarding Lungu.

The Rise of Crypto Betting in South Africa

Sports betting in South Africa has been around for decades, and it has seen a modern resurgence due in part to the rise of cryptocurrency sports betting. Cryptocurrency was first developed back in 2009 with the aim of creating a decentralized digital currency that could be sent anonymously and with little to no fees. The benefits of its use led to a surge in its popularity, and in turn, the desire for more secure, efficient ways to place bets on sports events.

Crypto sports betting has significantly increased the reach of sports betting by providing real-time bets placed in digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. This has allowed bettors in South Africa and elsewhere to place bets on local as well as international sports leagues without worrying about legal implications or the difficulty of obtaining local currency. With the exception of placing bets on physical sportsbooks based in other countries, South African bettors can now place their placements with complete anonymity instead of worrying about having their identities revealed to local authorities.

The growing popularity of cryptocurrency has also led to the emergence of online gambling platforms that are dedicated solely to sports betting. Many of these platforms offer enticing bonuses and promotional offers that help to attract more bettors. Furthermore, platforms such as http://cryptobettingsouthafrica.com/ also provide access to a wide range of local and international sports events, ranging from soccer and cricket to horse racing and MMA. This increased accessibility has been instrumental in the increasing popularity of sports betting in South Africa.

In addition to providing a secure way of placing bets, crypto sports betting allows South African players to benefit from some of the most competitive odds in the world. Moreover, the adoption of blockchain technology makes it easier to ensure fairness and transparency in the betting process. With lower fees and secure transaction processing times, bettors can enjoy a hassle-free approach to their betting needs without worrying about the safety of their funds.

All in all, the rise of crypto sports betting in South Africa has made it easier for bettors to make more informed decisions with regards to placing bets and has allowed them to take advantage of some of the most competitive odds in the world. Cryptocurrency provides users with a secure, efficient, and cost-effective option to place sports bets faster and more efficiently. The increasing popularity of crypto sports betting is likely to continue in South Africa and elsewhere, as more people become knowledgeable and comfortable with the technology.

Will The Trend Last?

Crypto betting in South Africa is here to stay and has an exciting future ahead of it. Crypto sports betting is a revolutionary invention that has completely changed the landscape for both sportsbook operators and bettors. From increased security and anonymity to lower fees, crypto betting has made it much easier and more efficient for people to place bets and enjoy the thrill of gambling.

The uptake of crypto betting among sports fans in South Africa has been swift and impressive. As more people become familiar with cryptocurrency, the trend is only set to grow further. This new technology makes it much easier for people to place secure, instantaneous bets in digital currencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. The main advantages of crypto betting compared to traditional methods are the following:

• Lower Fees: Crypto betting has lower fees and transaction costs, making it easier and more cost-effective to place bets.

• Security: Crypto betting is highly secure, making it impossible for any identity thefts or other fraudulent activities to occur.

• Anonymity: Crypto betting ensures your identity remains secret, making it ideal for those who want to keep their betting activities confidential.

• Accessibility: Crypto betting is accessible from anywhere in the world, meaning you can place your bets from the comfort of your own home.

• Efficiency: Crypto betting is much faster and more efficient than traditional methods, meaning you don’t have to wait for long periods of time for your bet to be completed.

All in all, crypto betting is an innovative invention that looks to revolutionize the sports betting industry. With its low fees, secure transactions, and easy accessibility, it is easy to see why many South African sports fans have already begun to embrace the technology. With a bright future ahead, crypto betting looks set to redefine the way sports bettors around the globe place their bets and enjoy the thrill of gambling.

To Sum Up

Crypto betting has significantly changed the landscape of sports betting in South Africa. From increased security and anonymity to lower fees and more efficient transaction times, crypto betting is becoming increasingly popular in the country. With its wide range of advantages, it’s easy to see why more and more people are opting to place their bets in cryptocurrency. With the technology continuing to evolve, the future of crypto betting in South Africa looks bright.

Gweru man robbed

A man in Gweru, Zimbabwe, was robbed of 7 grams of gold and cash by three armed men posing as potential buyers. The incident occurred in Shurugwi, where the robbers approached the man while he was selling the gold. They offered a partial payment of US$200 and agreed to complete the transaction in Gweru.

Midlands Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident saying the matter was now under investigation. The Chronicle cites him as saying:

The complainant was at Surprise Shops in Shurugwi looking for potential buyers while holding 7 grams of gold. He was approached by three unknown male adults who were driving a Honda Fit indicating they wanted to buy his gold.

However, during the journey, the robbers stopped the car, claiming a mechanical issue, and proceeded on foot. One of the suspects then struck the man on the head, rendering him unconscious. They stole his mobile phone, the gold, and the US$200. Mahoko added:

The suspects are still at large and police are appealing for anyone with information which may lead to their arrest approaching the nearest police station.

Gold buyers can be targets of robbers who pose as sellers and steal from them. In November 2022, a robbery occurred in Bulawayo where a gold buyer lost $350,000 in cash and other valuables.

The unknown assailants, armed with a small firearm, approached the buyer claiming to have 50 grams of gold for sale. They proceeded to ransack the buyer’s home, taking the cash, a CCTV HDI server, and a main gate remote.

Victoria Falls Councilors Defy Chamisa To Vote Mayor Of Own Choice

Victoria Falls councilors on Monday defied their leader, Nelson Chamisa of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), and voted for a mayor and deputy of their choice.

The 11-ward city is dominated by the CCC, which has 10 out of 11 elected councillors and three Women’s Quota representatives.

After a disruptive meeting last week, in which residents blocked the election citing the imposition of candidates by Chamisa, the council reconvened on Monday and elected Ward 7 councillor Prince Thuso Moyo as mayor and Ward 3 councillor Lungile Nyoni as his deputy.

Residents had said they would rather have a local “Munizi” (descendant of Hwange districts) as mayor than an outsider.

Chamisa had wanted Ward 1 councillor Ephias Mambume to become mayor and deputised by Ward 8 councillor Priscilah Mhlanga.

Residents vowed never to allow that to happen, and on Monday, all the CCC councillors except for Mambume convened an urgent meeting behind closed doors in the morning with the party’s Matabeleland North chair, Prince Dubeko Sibanda, where they resolved to elect Cllr Moyo and Cllr Nyoni unopposed.

The election was held in the afternoon after an earlier adjourned meeting in the morning due to the absence of the councillors.

Cllr Moyo has been in the centre of a corruption storm in the last council tenure, where he fronted corruption deals involving sale of land on behalf of other councillors. At some stage, residents had wanted him not voted back into council.

Police and council on Monday intensified security in fear of a repeat of last week’s violent scenes, and only a handful of residents were allowed into council.

Residents’ leaders Kelvin Moyo and others were also picked by police on Saturday for causing violence and released on the same day after they were reported to have been having a meeting plotting against Chamisa’s preferred candidate.

In his acceptance speech, the new mayor, who is Managing Director of Platform Trading and Fruit and Vegetable Market, promised to address water challenges affecting the city.

“I want to thank the outgoing mayor Somveli Dlamini, councillors, Town Clerk Ronnie Dube and his management for efforts made to make sure Victoria Falls attains its goal to be a smart green city,” he said.

“One of the greatest challenges of the city is water and we need to combine efforts with management and Victoria Falls stakeholders for possible funding. I am informed that the previous council was implementing a US$4 million reservoir project and once completed the issue of water will be a thing of the past,” he said.

Already flexing his muscle, Cllr Moyo ordered political parties and candidates in the recent harmonised elections to remove their campaign posters, which he said remained an eyesore to the tourism city.

His deputy, Cllr Nyoni, is employed by a local tour operating company and runs Rush Hour Butcheries, shop and bottle store.

DISTURBING PICTURES: UK CoS Workers Forced To Sleep With Naked Electric Wires

By A Correspondent | A Zimbabwean male Social Worker in Northamptonshire has been dismissed from his position amid allegations of orchestrating a series of exploitative labor recruitments from Zimbabwe. The individual in question, Mr Wilbert William, has been held responsible for subjecting these workers to deplorable work conditions and hazardous housing arrangements, all while charging exorbitant sums of up to GBP10,000.

Serial shoplifter caged

Blessed Makumbe, a serial shoplifter, was sentenced to one year in jail after stealing groceries worth over ZW$700,000 (US$152) from a TM Pick N Pay Supermarket in Bulawayo.

Makumbe, a 32-year-old from the Emakhandeni suburb in Bulawayo pleaded not guilty but was convicted on six counts of theft. He received a two-year sentence with six months suspended, and another six months suspended for five years on the condition of no similar offences. The incidents occurred on different dates in September 2023.

What transpired:

Prosecutor Joseph Rugara told the court that on September 1 at approximately 7:35 pm, Blessed Makumbe entered TM Pick N Pay Supermarket in Bulawayo. He went to the shelves, took two sets of 6-piece tablespoons, concealed them under his jacket, and left the store without paying for them.

According to Mr. Rugara, on September 20, 2023, at around 7:42 pm, Makumbe revisited the same shop and stole two more sets of 6-piece tablespoons, managing to leave undetected.

On September 30, at approximately 7:41 pm, Makumbe returned to the supermarket and stole two additional sets of 6-piece tablespoons, hiding them under his clothes before exiting without payment. During the same month, he also took eight packs of polony unnoticed. However, Makumbe’s luck ran out when he attempted to leave with stolen items captured on CCTV.

Alerted security guards recovered the stolen goods, leading to his arrest and the recovery of all stolen items worth ZW$715,074 from his house.

CCC Responds to Father Mukonori’s Call for Dialogue.

By Promise Mkhwananzi | Noting the statement from Father Mukonori, it is essential to put things into perspective before responding to his call.

While Father Mukonori, has for years been a respected Father figure of the church in Zimbabwe, his conspicuous role in the events that led to the deposing of President Robert Mugabe through a coup by Mr. Mnangagwa diminished his societal standing and respect he once enjoyed.
His skewed statements in today’s Herald Newspaper further affirm the questions which Zimbabweans have about the relationship Father Mukonori has with the Mnangagwa regime. Father Mukonori ought to extricate himself from this partisan position if he is to retain the respect which he commanded over the years.

At the very least, the electoral sham of August 2023 did not pass the test for an election. In other words, the events of the 23rd & 24th of August 2023 cannot be a basis for Father Mukonori to talk about “winners & losers”. This is the position commonly held by all observer Missions that observed the elections. In short, if ever there would be dialogue in Zimbabwe, it would not take place on the basis of a winner and a loser but on the basis of two of Zimbabwe’s political leaders namely President @nelsonchamisa and Mr Mnangagwa. Their dialogue would need to take place outside the purview of the ill-fated & illegal POLAD Framework-a feeding trough for fringe political “leaders” who only care about their stomachs & the benefits extended to them by Mr. Mnangagwa to undermine the leading party in Zimbabwe: the @CCCZimbabwe

Accordingly, a genuine bilateral framework for dialogue will need to be facilitated between the two political leaders. In addition the dialogue must include several other key Stakeholders such as the church, civil society, Business, women, youth, informal traders etc.

The dialogue must be underwritten by @SADC_News from the outset & be confined to only one objective: To establish a Transitional Authority whose sole mandate would be to deal with all issues that hinder a free & fair election in Zimbabwe such as the disbanding of ZEC, political & media reforms etc & the conduction of a fresh, free & fair election within the shortest practicable time to save Zimbabwe & indeed the region which may suffer the most from the spillover effects of Zimbabwe’s incessant electoral disputes.

Court To Rule On Sikhala’s Freedom Bid

Magistrate Yeukai Dzuda will hand down her ruling on an application for discharge filed by former Zengeza West legislator Job Sikhala Chitungwiza Mayor Lovemore Maiko, who are on trial on charges of disorderly conduct as defined in section 41 of Criminal Code.

Sikhala and Maiko were in April 2023 charged with disorderly conduct in a public place and accused of disrupting a ZANU PF political party campaign rally held on 2 May 2022 by throwing stones at some ruling party supporters, a charge which they deny.

It Never Rains: Kasukuwere’s Citrus Fruits Set Ablaze

By A Correspondent| Fire has ripped through the Concorpia Farm in Mazowe, owned by former Zanu PF cabinet minister Savior Kasukuwere, reducing his prime citrus plantation to ashes.

The incident has raised concerns about land invasions and the enforcement of court orders, with Kasukuwere accusing the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) of inaction despite a High Court order to remove the invaders from the property.

In a distressing tweet, Kasukuwere lamented the destruction of his valuable citrus farm, implying that this incident was a part of a series of challenges he has faced.

He stated, “It never rains but pours: A huge fire has destroyed my prime citrus plant at Concorpia Farm, Mazowe.”

The former cabinet minister expressed his frustration over the alleged lack of action by the ZRP to enforce a High Court order aimed at removing the invaders from his property.

“Against all legal efforts to remove the invader, the ZRP has refused to enforce a HC order,” Kasukuwere further tweeted.

Evidence of Nevers Mumba’s Ongoing Secret Work For Mnangagwa To Invalidate SADC Election Report

The below report is of SADC’s Election Observer Mission head, Nevers Mumba on 12 Sept publicly re-hashing his statements supporting Emmerson Mnangagwa and Uebert Angel’s election rigging goldmafia operations as late as September 2023, which communications are now being used by pro ZANU PF agents to dismiss the Zim 2023 election SADC observer mission report findings.

Nevers Mumba: “But we think that just as a church because we do not support each other, does not mean we use this opportunity to demonise Prophet Uebert Angel. So I think it is important to understand that he (Uebert Angel) is becoming a solution. He is not the first one to be misunderstood. …. it’s not criminality when you are not breaking the law of the land, but you are trying to answer the question that is in your country, that’s what you are called for…. so to the Africans, let us be careful, we are an endangered species, and if Zimbabwe is attacked today for using their own gold in the way they want to use it, I think that tomorrow it will be Zambia, the other day it will be Malawi, the other day it will be Kenya. We must hold together. A country with sanctions must find a way to survive and I believe Zimbabwe is doing whatsoever it needs to survive..”

– Mnangagwa’s proxy Zambian opposition and sworn Hichilema enemies have already launched campaigns to say the West and Zimbabwe’s opposition are using sanctions to rig elections, which potentially invalidates the SEOM’s findings in the 2023 elections.

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | In what the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe criticises as false, and following his April 2023 video protecting president Emmerson Mnangagwa and ambassador Uebert Angel over Kenya(1993)-to-Zimbabwe(2023) goldmafia funded election rigging, the head of SADC’s Election Observer Mission, Nevers Mumba has okayed the use of the Zambia flag and the country’s court of arms by him and Uebert Angel’s so called “spiritual son,” Harry Kalaba, in scripted video statements to announce that the West has sanctions on Zimbabwean gold.

The two Zambian politicians recorded videos in April which assisted Uebert Angel and other implicated individuals following Al Jazeera’s GoldMafia investigative documentary, escape money laundering charges, and get their bank accounts unfrozen. In their videos, the two repeatedly claimed that Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa whose business partner Kamlesh Pattni has for over 3 decades sustained dictators corrupt their elections using stolen central bank money and grounded the economies of many African countries beginning with Kenya in 1990, must be allowed to use his country’s gold the way he wants because the West has sanctioned Zimbabwean gold transactions.

Mumba as of Sept 2023 still maintains that the election-rigging gold smuggling exposed in Al Jazeera’s Goldmafia documentary being operations which began in the 1990s (where they were first prosecuted) and have destroyed various African economies are not at all criminal, despite himself (Mumba) assisting obfuscate disclosures over vote rigging that began in the 1990s in Kenya and is now being executed in Zimbabwe where Emmerson Mnangagwa has accumulated a reported over USD240million laundered money for the 2023 elections, as Uebert Angel and Mnangagwa’s convicted Kenyan gold smuggling partner, Kamlesh Pattni confess on video.

So far, Zimbabwe’s central bank, the RBZ has issued caution against Mumba’s claims in advance saying, “there are no sanctions on Zimbabwean exports and imports, including trade in gold to warrant Zimbabwe to circumvent international sanctions using illicit trade in gold. As such the claim that there is a scheme to bust international sanctions using illicit ways shows beyond doubt that the peddlers of this narrative have a sinister agenda with nefarious objectives of tarnishing both the bank and the Republic of Zimbabwe.”

Nevers Mumba made these claims in the following video he recorded in April 2023 and using the Zambian flag, of which when confronted by ZimEye for explanations said he was not at all talking about gold transactions.

“That statement I made about president Mnangagwa and Uebert Angel, had nothing to do with the issues of gold,” he told ZimEye’s Simba Chikanza (see the full text of the interview below).

He also said he was only talking about Pan Africanism.

But his video does have multiple repeats of mentions of gold transactions, plus also repeats of Mnangagwa’s ambassador at large, the disgraced prophet’s name, over 6 times in 8 minutes of the footage, saying him and Mnangagwa are doing good for their country, Zimbabwe (see video).

Mumba was on 27th August 2023 requested by Simba Chikanza to correct his statements, so to save the lives of many victims of violence, and in line with the truth re-hashed by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe which froze Uebert Angel’s bank accounts, seeing how his Mnangagwa-sanctions statement authorise the dictator to rig elections and kill people in repeating operations run across Africa by the Mafia since the early 1990s.

During the 27th Aug interview, Mumba had promised to revise his Zimbabwe-sanctions statement, seeing the overwhelming evidence that it empowers Mnangagwa to rig elections and violate the Constitution under the false claim that the West is doing the same, a Mumba-position now adopted by opposition leaders like Kelvin Bwalya (4th Sept 2023 video

https://fb.watch/nfN-7wXM8h/

)
…..

But 2 weeks later, instead of simply reversing his disinformation, Mumba, has taken to his Facebook portal to pour piles of scorn on the singular journalistic request that highlights that corrective action is needed since his (Mumba’s) SADC observer electoral mission’s statement position is now being overridden by his (Mumba’s) Uebert Angel, Mnangagwa-sanctions video. He took time to expend large paragraphs of over 300 words to phrase out mockeries, which now reduce the journalistic request to a mere accusation that he is part of the GoldMafia.

In his post, Mumba said President Hakainde Hichilema arch critic, the iPhone15 obsessed Harry Kalaba’s and his own statement (republished here), supporting the goldmafia implicated individuals got completely misquoted and twisted.

He also criticised Al Jazeera’s GoldMafia researcher Simba Chikanza saying he is a disgraced journalist.

Mumba has not criticised cynics against the SADC election observer mission who use his condemned goldmafia-sanctions statement to announce falsehoods stating that Mnangagwa is allowed to rig elections because the West is rigging elections using sanctions against Zimbabwean gold. One of the critics is the Zimbabwean Mr Rutendo Matinyarare who recently threatened SADC Chairperson on Defence and Politics, President Hakainde Hichilema, with death. Another critic is the Zambian politicians Kelvin Fube Bwalya, who has even gone on to make veiled death threats against the SADC Chairperson using the sudden death of the late president Levy Mwanawasa in 2008 as a reference to what could easily happen when Zambian leaders oppose ZANU PF during impasses (video, timeline 0:00 to 3:00)

https://fb.watch/nfOmQb0c7c/

….

Dr Mumba also made key accusations, the first one being that Simba Chikanza had accused him of being a ring leader in the GoldMafia, of which all Chikanza’s recording and written statements perused and supplied herewith do not contain any such a wording or meaning. Mumba wrote saying, “the same gentleman a few days later, called me and started equally accusing me of allegedly being a ring leader in President Munangagwa’s Gold Mafia Group. Again, That is why ba Kalaba Wesu responded the way he responded,” wrote Mumba on 12th Sept on his Facebook portal in the ccommens response area.

Simba Chikanza who over the last 15 years has played a crucial role in not only exposing crimes against humanity, but helping to physically stop them by confronting military generals and presidents (including former Zambian president Edgar Lungu https://fb.watch/ng1arPF2KA/ ), has been simply requesting the SADC Head of electoral monitors to address the life-threatening disinformation contained in his video statement ( https://www.facebook.com/reel/1192661294774503) seeing the damage it has on millions of Zimbabweans, likely to suffer more election rigging and violent crackdowns for centuries to come. This has been Chikanza’s singular request since the 27th August interview where he first asked the same after Harry Kalaba had said he sees nothing wrong with his abuse of Zambia’s court of arms to make statements representing and protecting Uebert Angel and Emmerson Mnangagwa, because Mumba has also stated the same things. https://twitter.com/ZimEye/status/1697846556148331002?t=bjcUz7SfblcjOUsVWHZdpQ&s=19 )

Mumba also passed another allegation saying Chikanza had lured Kalaba into conversations by lying that he had been sent to Kalaba with an iphone15 by his UK based friend, Uebert Angel. But video footage verified by local journalists from the News Diggers publication have got no such words or even impressions. Ref:
https://diggers.news/local/2023/08/25/kalaba-narrates-iphone-15-scandal-as-al-jazeera-journalist-reveals-how-he-trapped-him/

The journalist simply managed to gain trust in the first 90 seconds of their first conversation by promising Kalaba an iPhone15 to reward him for the role he played in helping his prophet friend escape prosecution. Chikanza has a long history of success in gaining trust even with his bitterest enemies who include the wife of the Zimbabwean dictator, Auxillia Mnangagwa with whom he has even had far lengthier conversations on videocall them fully knowing why they are talking to.
https://twitter.com/263Chat/status/1526102367522914304?t=LO9M0B-dgr3-qtItOi2-mw&s=19

The last of Mumba’s allegation is that Chikanza announced against Harry Kalaba, “all kinds of allegations,” when the LIVE video watched by over 500,000 people while inside Lusaka’s Levy Mall’s RightPrice shop shows only one revolving matter raised against Mr Kalaba which is the question of if he is going to apologise for helping his friend Uebert Angel create his fake video document he repeatedly acknowledges before and after the doorstep interview, that he created it with the Zambia Govt Court of arms per Uebert Angel’s script he loudly confirms in the recorded phone conversations since the 2nd August 2023, and which is confirmed in written correspondence also between Uebert Angel and their script writer, a South Africa based Mr Kudzai Mutisi, who received payment for the services by Uebert Angel on 28 March 2023 into his FNB bank account.

MEANWHILE, BELOW IS A TRANSCRIPT OF THE FIRST 16 MINUTES OF THE 27TH AUG INTERVIEW SIMBA CHIKANZA (SC) HAD WITH DR. NEVERS MUMBA (NM)

SC: Hello, Good afternoon Honourable.

NM: Good afternoon.

SC: Good afternoon Sir, my apologies I know I probably bombed your phone just like that, and I know you’re doing some great work at present in Zimbabwe.

NM; Who am I speaking to?

SC: My name is Simba Chikanza. I am one of your followers from a very long time from the 1990s when you used to do programmes with Andrew Wutaunashe and you were talking about restoring African politics from a Christian perspective, I don’t know if you remember those programs.

NM: Many years ago, correct.

SC: Yes, in 1995.

NM: Yes.

SC: So, I just note the work that you are doing for SADC at present. But you may not be aware. Andrew Wutaunashe is aware, I am a researcher on this GoldMafia documentary.

NM: Okay. Hold on please, hold on.

SC: Yes.

NM: If it cuts call again, hey?

SC: It’s fine Sir. So basically I came across your video… I think it has cut.

SC: Yes, Yes.

NM: Another call there.

SC: Yes. It’s fine, yeah.

SC; So, Hon Mumba, I came across your video where you were fervently criticising the documentary and the reason why I had to call you is also because from my conversation with Harry Kalaba, he referenced you also as a backer of Uebert Angel in this defence for Emmerson Mnangagwa around the GoldMafia investigation, so I thought I could engage you directly and maybe you can also question me, what you feel, your reservations, because I am one of the researchers on this documentary. I am not the only one, and as you can see here, the research has been there since 1992, it was started in 1992 in Kenya when I was even 13 years old.

NM: Just a moment.

SC: Yes Sir.

NM: Mr Simba just a moment. I will be talking about (sic) … and suffice to say, I have looked at your write up, you wrote to me, it came from you, right?

SC: Yes Sir. It did Sir.

NM: Eh, I want to put things into perspective, first of all, I want you to understand that words like Uebert Angel, rather I wrote what I said because it was structured or written for me by Angel, I think that is an insult to my intelligence. I have a background of research myself, I do my own work, even in politics I write my own statements, even up to… so to use that kind of language on me is a little unfortunate but don’t worry about that. I just wanted you to know that, of course except for SADC, it’s corporate work, it’s not my statement alone, it’s a statement of an institution that I was given the honour to read out on behalf of SADC.

But outside that, you can ask me any question and I will answer from my own history of research, so maybe to be using that kind of language is presumptuous as an investigator(sic); may not help collecting information because I think when you talk to people, assume that they are intelligent, they know what they are talking about, it helps.

Erm, secondly, I just want you to understand that that that statement I made about president Mnangagwa and Uebert Angel, had nothing to do with the issues of gold and all that because I even mentioned in that video that the laws of Zimbabwe must kick in(sic), if any law was broken, the laws of Zimbabwe must be applied, my argument has always been, since the days of Wutaunashe you have been referring to, find out my history. People talk about being Pan African, but whatever that means, I am clear what I subscribe to. What is happening – the understanding we have, anything that happens in Africa, of people trying to try to leverage their own resources in order to deal with the country that has been sanctioned, and they have to find the working system in which goods and services can be provided for their people, the West will criticize them.

They will insult them but when you go to Russia, Russia is doing clandestine things with gold every day. There is no Al Jazeera report.

America is worse in trying to make something work for their people because they have to create a system outside the global system that makes their country to survive, and nobody like Al Jazeera doesn’t do a statement.

You go to Europe, France has so much gold in there that comes from Africa, and they manipulate around and make themselves richer than Africa, that has the gold.

Now it comes to Zimbabwe, it’s not all about saying Mnangagwa, has done this or that, let’s look at how to solve, what is the problem that they are trying to resolve, and that’s all and I will always be that way, and I think Africa to me comes first.

If these international media organisations were fair, in reporting about thing that are happening around the world; When we are trying to use our own resources to survive, against the sanctions that are being made against us, that’s the basis of my (sic) I was just asked about that issue, I was not instructed by Angel, I don’t know Angel that much, I don’t. He is a preacher, but I don’t preach in his circles, he doesn’t preach in my circles; we are very far, you know, apart. So there is no invested interest in me speaking for him.

President Mnangagwa, I had not even met him by that time, so I had no vested interests. I was interested in how Africans are treated by the global community and how they demonize us, at the same time using our resources in order to, you know, build their own countries and economies. That’s where I was coming from. Was it completely in line with7 all the facts on the ground? Maybe not.

But I was wanting for everybody to know- look at us as Africans, like you look at the others.

Russia is under sanctions , they are doing all the crazy stuff outside the global economic framework, because they have to survive as a nation. No one is criticising them, because they are white and we are black, so I think for me that is my problem, and this brings me to the second issue.

The second issue is that now that I am being accused that I came here to Zimbabwe in order to support Chamisa whom they say is an imperialist supported candidate so me I am a Western puppet, I am working with Hichilema and Hichilema is a puppet and all that kind of rhetoric actually is cancelled by that video, because that video, who I am and what I believe and where ever there is truth, whether it’s on Chamisa’s side or Mnangagwa’s side, I will follow the truth not an individual, not …(sic) name, because that is who I am.

God called me to this thing when I was very young. My vision has been clear, I will not sell my birthright either to the West or to the East. I don’t belong to the East, I don’t belong to the West. I belong to Zambia and to Africa and that’s my priority, so when you write those statements like that, you know you mist first of all, and I am glad, I have to salute you, that you have called me directly, and for me I think I find people like yourself people I can talk to, rather than those who just go ahead and write what they want because they consider themselves to be the Jehovahs, they know everything, their research is accurate when they have never spoken to me, so for me, yes I accept the fact that once it becomes an issue of Pan Africanism, you will hear my voice. I will defend Africa, I will defend Zambia, I will defend SADC, but I will never defend wrong that’s why I said in that video, if there is any law that the President and his people have broken, I think the people of Zimbabwe should take them to task. Why? Because I am distancing myself from any wrongdoing but principle is what I was portraying in that video, and I thought I need to give that background.

SC: …thank you very much and I really appreciate your response.

Here is a problem from both a Zimbabwean and a Zambian perspective. You know that I’ve been literally on the ground in Lusaka in Zambia lately in the last few weeks, and people even who are Zambian are asking me questions here: your statement supporting and claiming that there are sanctions in Zimbabwe, while you’re criticising Al Jazeera you’re saying Al Jazeera news network has got an ulterior motive, that statement is far, by far exponentially damaging to the Zimbabwean people and it literally reverses anything that you could ever do either for SADC or any other entity to do with Zimbabwe because you have totally given Emmerson Mnangagwa the authority to both rig elections, the authority to torpedo anything. Anyone whatsoever.

NM: No, no, no, no.

SC: Allow me to finish, allow me to finish.

NM: No.

SC: Let me say here, let me just finish this,

NM: No, no,

SC: If I could just finish this honorable.

You are aware that the GoldMafia investigation did not start with Al Jazeera at all. It started in 1992, And this is all on the documentary. It shows you that Emmerson Mnangagwa’s partner, Kamlesh Pattni who destroyed Kenya’s economy, honourable, that man, was prosecuted in Kenya. His accomplices were convicted and he himself went through prosecution, way before Al Jazeera ever existed, way before I myself had even started working I was only 12 years old, and so what you are saying there, and way before sanctions existed in the Zimbabwean conversations, even as a conversation honourable, in the history of Zimbabwe, so that is where it is, your statement.

NM: Wait. Simba

The reason I’m trying to get in is because I have to get into my next interview. The point I am trying to make is that all your concerns that you raised now I summarise them in one paragraph in my video, I say any law broken in the process of trying to do all this whole issue, my must be prosecuted to the end whether it’s Mr Mnangagwa involved or Angel involved, or anybody else, I will never support anything illegal, never. But if you can see me out as I am dealing with a Pan African view that I have that against that they should also judge Al Jazeera against that. I only said I want to see the statements Al Jazeera the investigation they had made on Russia. I want to see what they have done on France, and not to be one sided, I am speaking from the African. I am not authorising Mr Mnangagwa to abuse the people of Zimbabwe that’s why we came with such a strong statement as SADC, because we have seen…

SC:: I don’t know if you understand the history of Zimbabwe. You are more senior than me..

Between 1983 and 1987, Emmerson Mnangagwa himself ran an operation to punish over 30,000 Zimbabweans in our region that is closer to Zambia, he was punishing them for the crime of stopping the rain, he was accusing them of being the one who stopped the rain, are you aware of the Gukurahundi killings?

There were no sanctions at all in Zimbabwe at any time at that time, he himself.

NM: We were not…

SC: Let me just finish. I just wanted to see how deadly and how destructive And how you have empowered Emmerson Mnangagwa to do anything that he wants. There was never sanctions.

Now we come to the GoldMafia documentary, It has got very little or anything to do with Al Jazeera. This is an investigation that was actually prosecuted by Kenyan courts between 1992 and 2004.

People were convicted in Kenya on this very investigation because of the money laundering work and gold smuggling by Kamlesh Pattni who is Emmerson Mnangagwa’s business partner, so honourable, look at it here if you start dropping the term “sanctions” you have destroyed the future of Zimbabweans for the next 1,000 years.

Any work, any statement that you are going to make on behalf of SADC or on behalf of any other entity can you now see that that statement, that nothing you will ever do positively for the public good for Zimbabweans will amount to anything because you have already destroyed their future by empowering him, using that statement of “sanctions”?

NM: No, I

SC: And would you like to see communications honourable, that I can show you that your statement was, your video statement was scripted by Uebert Angel, yeah, literally scripted? I even have his own confirmations that he instructed you and Harry Kalaba to make those statements.

NM: You want to show? (sic)

SC: And I’m sure you’d agree with me that according to Zambian law, that, what that is, it is interfering with an investigation in money laundering.
PHONE CUT

[PART 2 OF THE INTERVIEW-36 MIN IS SUPPLIED IN AUDIO FORMAT ONLY]

Even in part 2, Mumba continued to refuse to retract his statements which Simba Chikanza reiterated that they affect the lives of not only Zimbabweans, but his own countrymen, Zambians.

This is not the first time, Mumba has done something similar, and in 2004, he was fired from his Vice Presidency job by the late President Levy Mwanawasa when he refused to retract some damaging statements against the Democratic Republic Of Congo. He would only bounce back into government after Mwanawasa’s sudden death in 2008, reportedly caused by Mnangagwa.

Meanwhile analysts suggested that Mumba who has harboured presidential ambitions through the backdoor while twinning himself with Emmerson Mnangagwa since 1996, might actually be playing a trick so to blight his appointer.

Mnangagwa Holds First Cabinet Meeting With Own Kids

By A Correspondent | IMAGINE YOUR OWN SON SITTING IN FRONT OF YOU AS FINANCE MINISTER ANSWERING TO YOU – Amidst a backdrop of controversy and scrutiny surrounding the composition of his cabinet, Emmerson Mnangagwa’s newly assembled team is gathering today for their inaugural meeting.

This gathering signifies a significant moment in Zimbabwe’s political landscape, as the nation watches closely to see how this cabinet will function and what direction it will take.

The announcement of the cabinet meeting was officially confirmed by Acting Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr. Martin Rushwaya, in a statement released yesterday. He stated, “The Acting Chief Secretary of the OPC would like to advise Cabinet members that the first Cabinet Meeting will be held at 0900 hours on Tuesday, 26th September, 2023, at the usual venue. Members should be guided accordingly.”

The composition of Mnangagwa’s cabinet has not escaped controversy, with critics referring to it as “children-infested.” Many have raised concerns about nepotism and favoritism in the appointments, as some cabinet members are perceived to have close familial ties to the President.

Despite the controversy, the newly appointed ministers have publicly committed to continuing the work of the previous Cabinet. This pledge aims to ensure a sense of continuity and stability in government policies and initiatives.

As the nation’s eyes remain fixed on this first cabinet meeting, expectations are running high. Citizens and observers are eager to see how this cabinet, under President Mnangagwa’s leadership, will address pressing issues such as economic recovery, governance, and social development. The outcome of this meeting is anticipated to provide insights into the government’s priorities and strategies for the foreseeable future. – state media

Wayward Motorists In Trouble

THE net is closing on errant drivers as the Zimbabwe Republic Police is set to introduce a traffic management system before the end of the month.

Traffic congestion, motorist crossing red traffic lights and encroaching in the opposite lane has become the order of the day on the roads with the police involved in a running battle with offenders.

This violation of traffic laws will soon become a thing of the past as the government is set to introduce a modern traffic management system.

“As the government we are going to introduce a traffic-managed system before the end of this year. The project is in phases and we have already started we are going to deploy cameras on all our roads to monitor violators. The system is going to be integrated into various ministries and departments for instance the Central Vehicle Registry,” said Minister Kazembe Kazembe.

The pilot project which was introduced last year in Harare along Samora Machel Avenue revealed shocking statistics of road traffic violators.

The ZRP working with other law enforcement agents is conducting an operation to tame lawlessness on the country’s roads.

Nelson Chamisa A True People’s Leader

Nelson Chamisa – An Inspiring Journey from Student Activism to Noble and Powerful Politician

In the vast realm of politics, where power often corrupts and disrupts, there rises a figure so extraordinary, so authentic, that his very presence rekindles a flicker of hope within the hearts of the nation. Meet Nelson Chamisa, a man whose unwavering values and acute understanding of the challenges faced by the young generation set him apart as a beacon of change.

By Gracious Moyo

Born and raised amidst the humble surroundings of rural Gutu, Chamisa was instilled with a sense of purpose and responsibility by his parents, who molded his character with unwavering determination. Yet, like the age-old biblical adage of “what good can come out of Nazareth,” even his very own people initially rejected him, their doubts whispered in dark corners, questioning his ability to rise from the dusty community of Gutu to the hallowed halls of the state house.

Some have sought to undermine Chamisa’s achievements, weaving tales of foreign funding to cast doubt upon his sterling character. However, those who dare to witness his unwavering commitment to his country and people see beyond these petty jealousies. A skilled politician adept at captivating the masses and maneuvering through a hostile environment, Chamisa’s rise to prominence has not been an easy task. Yet, for those who cherish and believe in the essence of democracy, we find solace in a man who possesses the potential to restore the dignity of Zimbabwe.

Chamisa’s political journey commenced amidst a resurgence of student activism, which played a pivotal role in shaping his perspective on political developments and how best to navigate them. Within the murky depths of skepticism, he proved his critics wrong by transforming seemingly nothing into a formidable political movement that now stands as the strongest party in Zimbabwe, outshining the once-unassailable Zanu PF.

The Citizens Coalition for Change is now the largest citizen movement in the country.

He is a man of patience, exhibiting a remarkable ability to bide his time until the perfect moment arises, when a small yet decisive shove can alter the course of history. Chamisa understands the art of diplomacy, acknowledging that not every battle needs to be won, sometimes prioritizing the best interests of others over his own. This sets him apart from the majority of politicians, for he embodies a rare trait: genuine problem-solving.

Should an anonymous poll be conducted among members of Zanu PF , seeking to identify the most respected individual, the answer would overwhelmingly be “NC,” underscoring his visionary nature and great moral stature. Chamisa has become a symbol of hope, igniting the dormant dreams and aspirations of young Zimbabweans who yearn for a better future. There may be those who criticize his decision-making process, deeming him too hesitant or lacking in boldness, yet never does his integrity falter. His deep-rooted belief in the value of democracy and prosperity shines through every action he takes.

In a world where inspirational figures are scarce, Chamisa stands as a role model, someone our children can look up to and emulate. He embodies the essence of leadership, a testament to his commitment to the struggle. Nelson Chamisa is not merely a politician; he is a guiding light, leading Zimbabwe towards a brighter tomorrow.

Is America Losing Power In Africa?

By Shelton Muchena | The recent events in the West African countries point to a change of geo politics with regards to the West and US and the African continent.

ECOWAS has threatened war to Niger and as a result, more than 4 African countries have since pledged their support to the Coup leaders.

This is a direct confrontation to the US and the West, whose systems previously controlled the socio-political and economic status of these African states.

USA has the power to punish them without any challenge.
The invasion of Ukraine by America opened a can of worms. The failure of NATO to drive out Russian soldiers indicated to Russia that they are toothless bulldogs.

Putin is becoming an American threat day by day, and his recent pledge is to support the Coup leaders as well as cementing Russian African relationships.

Similarly, South Africa, known as being an ally of America, openly declared to be aligned to Russia during conflict mediation.

Relatedly, the Russia Africa donation where Putin declared to offer free grain to African countries is a slap in the face of the West.

Back home, Zimbabwe’s quest to join the commonwealth might be another dream in the air given the country’ s recent public support of Russia in the Ukrainian war.

With BRICS planning to unveil its own currency, this further puts the West in the oblivion while rendering joining commonwealth useless.

Thomas Mapfumo Calls for Action Against ZANU PF

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | In a passionate and fiery address, renowned musician and activist Thomas Mapfumo has issued a rallying cry to the people, urging them to break free from oppression. Speaking  on Chief Svosve’s program, Mapfumo did not mince words as he decried the current state of affairs under the leadership of President Mnangagwa.

Mapfumo began his comment by emphasizing that many people are enduring oppression for no fault of their own, and he urged them to wake up to the reality of their situation. He asserted that the person they are dealing with, referring to President Mnangagwa, is akin to Satan himself, showing a complete disregard for human life and the suffering of the people.

One of Mapfumo’s central grievances was the alleged nepotism within the government. He accused the President of filling key government positions with his own family members, whom he branded as “thieves.” Mapfumo made no exceptions, even implicating the President’s wife in these accusations.

In a call to action, Mapfumo stressed that the path to freedom lies in the hands of the people themselves. He passionately encouraged the gathered crowd to rise up and take matters into their own hands. “If we want to free ourselves, we will have to do it ourselves,” he declared, urging unity and collective action.

Chief Svosve questioned Mapfumo about the tragic events of August 1, 2018, when President Mnangagwa’s administration was accused of killing six people during protests. Mapfumo, in response, alleged that those in power were taking advantage of the people’s fear. He claimed that soldiers were instructed to shoot a few people to intimidate the protesters. He went further, suggesting that had the people confronted the soldiers, they could have defeated the army that day.

Mapfumo’s impassioned speech has sparked a fervor among those in attendance, and it remains to be seen how this call to action will influence the current political landscape in Zimbabwe. The country watches with bated breath as tensions rise, and the demand for change gains momentum.-

CoS FRAUD: Zimbabwean Social Worker in Fired for Exploitative Labor Practices

By A Correspondent | A Zimbabwean male Social Worker in Northamptonshire has been dismissed from his position amid allegations of orchestrating a series of exploitative labor recruitments from Zimbabwe. The individual in question, Mr Wilbert William, has been held responsible for subjecting these workers to deplorable work conditions and hazardous housing arrangements, all while charging exorbitant sums of up to GBP10,000.

CoS FRAUD: Zimbabwean Social Worker in Fired for Exploitative Labor Practices

Workers who had embarked on the journey in search of better opportunities found themselves trapped in the UK, facing insufficient work hours that failed to provide them with a reasonable income. Moreover, they were left in dilapidated properties with loose electrical sockets posing serious safety risks, ZimEye reveals. (pictures).

A source within the West Northamptonshire Council management confirmed that William is no longer associated with the organization, stating, “I am afraid the gentleman you’ve referred to is no longer employed here,” they told ZimEye.

This development is expected to result in legal actions and potential compensation for the victims of these exploitative practices.

Wilbert William was contacted several times for over a week for a comment, but neither returned phonecalls nor replied written questions.

Wilbert William’s company, Line Of Sight Care, was contacted for a comment and the main director, Sandra Burrel said she cannot comment because she is in hospital and so other co directors would phone the ZimEye newsdesk on the day, which did not happen. 5 days later there is not a single message or phonecall from them.

“Oh, I think you got the wrong number,” she said, before being challenged on her position as the main director.

“Yes I am but I am actually off sick at the moment… so let me pass your number to one of the other directors to reach you,” she said.

Another Director reached by ZimEye, Samantha Gittins also claimed that Wilbert William has never worked for them.

The situation has raised concerns about the vulnerability of migrant workers and the urgent need for stricter oversight to prevent such incidents in the future.

Nevers Mumba Reiterates Saying Uebert Angel, Mnangagwa Are Doing Good For Zimbabwe

SADC’s Election Observer Mission, Nevers Mumba on 12 Sept reiterates statements supporting Emmerson Mnangagwa and Uebert Angel.

Nevers Mumba: “But we think that just as a church because we do not support each other, does not mean we use this opportunity to demonise Prophet Uebert Angel. So I think it is important to understand that he (Uebert Angel) is becoming as solution.

During the 27th Aug interview, Mumba had promised to revise his Zimbabwe-sanctions statement, seeing the overwhelming evidence that it empowers Mnangagwa to rig elections and violate the Constitution under the false claim that the West is doing the same, a Mumba-position now adopted by opposition leaders like Kelvin Bwalya (4th Sept 2023 video

)

(INTERVIEW QUESTION

https://twitter.com/ZimEye/status/1697846556148331002?t=bjcUz7SfblcjOUsVWHZdpQ&s=19 )

MP Muringazuva Freed

ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Hurungwe, Pax Muringazuva who was accused of illegally facilitating the entry of eight Pakistani nationals into the country with the intention of trafficking them to South Africa is now a free man.

Muringazuva was facing allegations of violating the immigration laws and human trafficking which could not be sustained in court.

The State withdrew the charges for want of incriminating evidence after the foreigners refused to testify and that they had been deported back to their country.

The legislator who was represented by Admire Rubaya had distanced himself from the claims with his lawyer describing them as grandscheming by his political foes who were bent on soiling his image and force him out from running for the Hurungwe West parliamentary seat.

It was alleged that on January Muringazuva assisted the 8 Pakistan nationals Farukh Dilawar, Tahir Azeem, Sikandar
Muhammad Tahir, Muhammad Fayaz, Muhammad Arham Asif,
Muhammad Ali Ghazi and Muhammad Waqas Ali to illegally enter Zimbabwe through the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.

Reports were that the Pakistan nationals fraudulently acquired Zimbabwean holiday visas and produced the immigration forms indicated the accused as their host.

It was also alleged that while in the country, Muringazuva facilitated the
transportation of the foreigners from the airport and harboured them at his house.

Muringazuva was arrested on the day, allegedly hosting the eight at his home in Malbereign while planning to transport them to South Africa where they had been promised job opportunities.

The foreigners were then taken to court where they were convicted and deported.

Harare City Council Responds to Allegations of Blowing USD20,000 in 4 Days

In response to recent allegations of extravagant spending by Harare City Council councillors, the council has issued a statement clarifying the situation. The controversy arose after reports claimed that councillors had spent USD 20,000 in just four days. The council’s statement seeks to shed light on the expenditures and procedures involved.

According to the statement released by the Harare City Council, the 2023-2028 council members were sworn into office on August 23 following elections. In accordance with the Urban Councils Act, councillors are assigned to various committees, four of which are mandatory under Section 96 of the Act.

The council emphasized that before these committees can effectively carry out their duties, councillors must undergo induction workshops. These workshops are conducted by the relevant parent local government ministry. Harare City Council’s ten committees, including the Audit committee, Disaster management and public safety committee, and others, all go through these workshops to familiarize themselves with their respective roles and responsibilities.

Addressing the issue of allowances, the council asserted that all payments are made within the budgeted frameworks, ensuring transparency and accountability. Furthermore, the council clarified that committee meetings cannot be held until all committees have completed their induction.

Currently, only the finance and information and publicity committees have been fully inducted and have started conducting their meetings. The council pointed out that Harare, as the largest local authority in the country, bears significant responsibilities, and the induction of councillors is a crucial part of ensuring effective governance.

The council also raised concerns that the reported figures of USD 20,000 were greatly exaggerated and did not accurately reflect the actual cost of inducting councillors, who will serve until 2028.

Harare City Council has reassured the public that their operations are transparent and in line with legal requirements. This statement comes as a response to the recent controversy, aiming to provide clarity on the situation and dispel misconceptions surrounding the council’s actions.

As the largest local authority in the country, the Harare City Council remains under scrutiny, and this clarification seeks to restore confidence in its governance and financial practices.

Nevers Mumba Gives Green Light for Uebert, Mnangagwa To Use Zambia Govt-Logo To Claim Opposition’s Using Sanctions To Rig Elections, Sabotage ED

Sister’s Keeper embarks on “golf for cancer” tournament

By A Correspondent- Irked by the challenges faced by cancer victims and survivors in a nation plagued by increasing cancer cases, breast cancer survivor, Makosi Musambasi through her foundation, Sister’s Keeper has embarked on a cancer awareness drive through a golf tournament.

playing golf for cancer

Last Thursday, Musambasi and her team were at the Royal Harare Golf Course playing golf for cancer in a move aimed at raising awareness and encouraging Zimbabweans to prioritise regular cancer screening to save lives.

Said Musambasi:

“The Sister’s Keeper Kitty Tournament started in Nigeria, so we did the first one in 2021, we did another one last year and this is the third one.”

A breast cancer survivor, Musambasi traced her journey with the disease revealing how she was diagnosed and the various procedures she did in the fight against cancer.

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy, I had chemotherapy and I had radiotherapy but I was very lucky because I was diagnosed at stage two which is very early. So, that’s why I survived, I had a 50-50 chance of either surviving or dying.”

She emphasized the importance of raising cancer awareness adding that when diagnosed early, the chances of saving lives are high.

Said Musambasi:

“Playing gold for cancer is raising awareness, because when cancer is detected early, it saves lives. It’s only when it is diagnosed late that people are dying of cancer. The purpose of this tournament is to say, if you are a woman, or a man, because men are also getting breast cancer, check yourself every morning in the shower. Go for mammograms.

There is no age when it comes to cancer so, as long as you have breasts, start checking yourself. I was diagnosed at 35 and some people are dying even younger, eat healthy and exercise.”

According to FactCheck Zimbabwe, a local independent, non-partisan Zimbabwean online factchecking platform dedicated to playing a watchdog role by factchecking news and information, breast cancer is the second most prevalent for Zimbabwean women.

Reports FactCheck Zimbabwe:

“While the causes of breast cancer are not fully understood, there are a number of factors associated with the risk of developing the disease. Some of the risk factors include, being a woman, increasing age, having a strong family history of breast cancer, a number of hormonal factors, personal and lifestyle factors and race or ethnicity.

Speaking at the same tournament, golf coach, Simon Murungweni emphasised the importance of cancer awareness and encouraging people to go for early screening using acceptable medium such as sport.

He said:

“On the golf course people are relaxed and also the news spreads fast because it’s a clean sport to raise awareness with and a lot of programmes happen through the golf course, so golf is a good medium to spread to the cancer awareness message.”

Proceeds from the event which attracted golf enthusiasts, policy makers, leaders in society, and businesses will go towards funding breast cancer awareness programmes.

Losing Zanu PF candidates hosts “Thank you” rally

By A Correspondent- Tendai Charuka, the unsuccessful Zanu-PF candidate for ward 1, is calling on the Citizens for Coalition Change (CCC) candidates to prioritize the welfare of street vendors. He believes that the city council should focus on safeguarding the livelihoods of vendors by creating approved vending zones.

Charuka expressed his gratitude to party supporters during a “thank you” rally held in Bulawayo last Thursday. He emphasized that the Zanu-PF cadres are committed to continuing their work and delivering for the people of Zimbabwe. He also assured the audience that President Mnangagwa’s initiated projects would not stop and that a prosperous Zimbabwe aligned with Vision 2030 would be achieved.

Although Charuka lost in his bid for the Bulawayo Central National Assembly seat, he extended his congratulations to Mr. Surrender Kapoikulu, the CCC candidate who won, and emphasized that they were ready to collaborate with the elected representatives for the betterment of the country.

Charuka stressed the importance of unity among citizens and their commitment to national development, regardless of political affiliations. He urged the mayor and councilors to work towards the revitalization and growth of Bulawayo.

He also highlighted the vital role played by vendors in the country’s economy and called on the council to create suitable spaces for them to operate in the central business district (CBD). Charuka noted that acknowledging President Mnangagwa as the country’s leader is essential.

He concluded by urging everyone to put aside grievances and work together for a brighter future for Bulawayo and Zimbabwe, emphasizing the need for unity among Zimbabweans.

“SADC Consulting CCC For Way Forward.” Already Know CCC And Zanu PF Are The Problem And, Notably, They’re Not The Solution!

By Wibert Mukori| “Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Nelson Chamisa has claimed that leaders from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have been consulting with him to seek his opinions on how to resolve Zimbabwe’s current political crisis following the contested general election,” reported Bulawayo 24.

“During a CCC provincial council meeting in Chinhoyi, Chamisa emphasized that he had won the presidential election despite intimidation tactics and alleged rigging by Zanu-PF-aligned Forever Associates of Zimbabwe (FAZ). He described the recent election as a “war” rather than a proper election.

“Chamisa revealed that he had recently participated in a lengthy video conference call with SADC officials who were seeking his proposals for resolving the political impasse in Zimbabwe, which has resulted from the widely criticised elections.”

The truth is Zimbabwe is in this political and economic mess because the nation has been stuck for 43 years with this corrupt , incompetent and tyrannical Zanu PF dictatorship. The party has rigged elections to secure its stay in power.

By the late 1990s the nation finally came to a consensus that for there to be any hope of putting an end to the dictatorship, the nation must implement the democratic reforms to stop Zanu PF rigging elections. The nation has risked all to elect MDC/CC leaders for the express purpose they implement the democratic reforms.

After 23 years, including 5 in the GNU, MDC/CCC has failed to implement even one reform. Worse still, they have given up on reforms to participate in flawed elections to give Zanu PF legitimacy in return for a share of the spoils of power.

Zimbabwe is a failed state because of the Zanu PF dictatorship and Chamisa and his CCC friends have played their part in keeping Zanu PF in power. Zanu PF and CCC are the reason Zimbabwe is in this mess, they are the problem and per se cannot be the solution too!

So what the devil is SADC doing “consulting Chamisa on the way forward”?

Both Zanu Pf and CCC were involved in the 2008 to 2013 GNU that failed to implement even one reform, SADC leaders know this. What hope is there that a new GNU with the same two political parties in power would do any better.

What SADC leaders must do is convene the meeting and endorse the SADC election observer mission report condemning the 23 August 2023 elections were a sham and there is no legitimate government in Harare. SADC played the leading role in the 2008 to 2013 GNU which failed to implement even one reform. There is no shame in SADC acknowledging this fact and, more significantly reaching out to UN to ask for help.

A joint body of UN and SADC must decide the way forward for Zimbabwe.

After 43 years of rigged elections and with the nation now in serious social and economic trouble, Zimbabwe needs a cure to the curse of rigged elections and bad governance and not another sugar coated placebo!

Mupambi Calls Out Ex-ZPP Boss Jestina Mukoko

By Tanaka Chirigo| The Zimbabwe Peace Project former boss Jestina Mukoko has  been pilfering donor funds, according to a prominent human rights activist.

Speaking to this publication, Abigale Mupambi challenged the former ZPP director to come clean on allegations of defrauding the NGO of hefty amounts of money.

“It is high time  figures in the civic society like Jestina Mukoko be held accountable for the abuse of donor funds. They should be held accountable for pilfering money that would have been mearnt for ordinary citizens.

” What pains us in the civic society is that this has tainted  some of us who are really genuine in our work,” fumed Mupambi.

She added that because of the embezzlement of donor funds it is hardly  believable that organisations like EU pours such huge amounts  of money which doesn’t congruent with the activities by NGOs.

” It boggles the mind that EU can avail over US$5 million dollars grant but the work on the ground doesn’t show.
“Sadly, it is because of elite civic society leaders like Mukoko who are corrupt hence such noise,” added the human rights activist.

Responding to a ZPP tweet, Abigale Mupambi had no kind words for the former ZBC news anchor.

“ZPP Don’t you think it’s high time you respond to the public media allegations that your Director Jestina Mukoko squandered EU donor funds. meant for the so called “electoral torture victims. “I  think it’s to late to diverting us at this juncture, we need answers as CSOs,” wrote Mupambi.

Efforts to get a comment from Jestina Mukoko were fruitless.

Zanu PF supporters caged over demonstration

By A Correspondent- Zanu-PF supporters, who were arrested for their involvement in an unauthorized demonstration at the party’s national headquarters in Harare, remained in custody over the weekend as the State opposed their release on bail.

These supporters appeared before Harare magistrate Apolonia Marutya last Friday.

Prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawu opposed bail, arguing that while the supporters had a right to bail, this right was not absolute. He also contended that they faced charges of public violence and had the potential to pose a threat to public safety.

Jambawu stated, “There is an indication that the accused were warned by the police to stop chanting slogans, and the State is concerned that if the accused are released on bail, they may repeat the same offense.”

The court postponed the case because the investigating officer, Inspector Samuel Matsekwa, was unable to attend due to a family emergency.

However, the supporters’ lawyer, Tonderai Chikosha, challenged the application, asserting that the case could proceed because the investigating officer had already submitted a signed affidavit.

The bail hearing was rescheduled for tomorrow.

The allegations involve 12 Zanu-PF members who, on September 19 of this year, were accused of unlawfully disturbing the peace, security, or order by defying a police order to cease their demonstration against senior party officials in Harare province.

Land developer silence irks residents

By A Correspondent- The government has issued instructions to the Surveyor-General’s Office to conduct a survey of the residential stands at Judd Farm in Gwanda, Matabeleland South province. This decision comes after beneficiaries faced challenges in developing the area over the past nine years.

Approximately 300 individuals purchased residential stands from the land developer, Forit Contracting (Pvt) Limited, in 2015, but little progress has been made since then. Beneficiaries had experienced difficulties dealing with both Gwanda Municipality and the land developer.

In a letter dated September 6, 2023, addressed to the Surveyor-General, Shingirayi Mushamba, the Chief Director of Spatial Planning and Development in the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, requested assistance in land surveying for the Gwanda Municipality’s allocated portion of Judds Farm for urban development. The letter emphasized the need for the survey to align with the approved plan.

Beneficiaries expressed hope that government involvement would finally lead to progress on their residential stands. They also anticipated that the new Gwanda mayor, Thulani Moyo, would expedite the resolution of this longstanding issue.

Earlier this year, the beneficiaries had petitioned the then Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution minister, Abednigo Ncube, to address the delays in servicing and delivering the stands.

They emphasized the urgency of their situation and sought permission to expedite the process. Despite several petitions and requests for updates, little progress had been made in the past nine years.
