Red Devils Extend Erik ten Hag Contract

English Premier League giants Manchester United have decided to extend the stay of their coach Erik ten Hag.

There had been uncertainty over the future of Ten Hag after more than two weeks of waiting for a decision following their 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

United held talks with the 54-year-old on Tuesday.

According to reports in England, senior Old Trafford figures including part owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe finally made the decision keep him at the club

A number of factors influenced Ratcliffe’s decision-making in a ‘lengthy’ review, and negotiations are now set to start over a contract extension.

Ten Hag’s existing United contract runs until next June, with an option to prolong by 12 months.

Meanwhile, United are continuing to be linked with a several players ahead of the window opening – and the decision on Ten Hag should accelerate those plans.

Warriors Coach Speaks On Defeat To Bafana Bafana

Warriors interim coach Jairos Tapera has bemoaned the defensive mistakes that cost his side in the game against South Africa on Tuesday.

Zimbabwe lost 3-1 on the matchday four of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group C.

Defender Munashe Garan’anga mistakenly lost the ball and Iqraam Rayners capitalised on the blunder and opened the scoring in the first minute.

Another mistake, this time from Warriors keeper Godfrey Chitsumba, saw Thapelo Morena scoring Bafana’s second goal.

Speaking to SABC Sport after the match, Tapera said: “We made our lives difficult in terms of defending.

“Imagine, in the first minute through the central defender, he made a mistake and we conceded.

“We immediately scored an equaliser, stabilised everything and started doing well.

“We thought we might get the second goal, but a lapse in concentration saw us conceding for the second time.

“We were not marking tight in the box and they punished us.

“The third goal, it was through the middle again and we were punished.”

Zimbabwe got their consolation goal from Tawanda Chirewa, who had an outstanding outing through out the game, in the second minute.

Meanwhile, the result placed South Africa in second place with seven points, while the Warriors remained on the bottom of the group with two points.

Sometimes I ignore because onced I say good morning members, you are now rushing to hold a meeting and expect money from me, Mpofu is now wishing to possibly receive money like USD2million. USD3million!

I will be wanting these deals to give you like US$100,000; it keeps you going how many times have I gotten you payments?

These payments this week I am getting another one which is US$5.2 million and then we start on all the other project.

There is one for the Police and there is a new one for Immigration.

The money is your pension you don’t need to be greedy to try and claim higher.

What I said is bring new work [because] this state-entity I have captured it with my bare hands, like dzvii! Not an imagination.

When he went to Italy, I was to the airport and he held my hands and said my son escorted me to the jets doors and I walked him over there once we got to the plane’s door after he had finished greeting the two vice president he returned to me and waved at me and said I will call you when I get to Italy my son.

So I am telling you that I am right inside, and I’m telling you to take advantage of that.

Don’t try and eat in what I have done myself or what caused us problems in the past, Eat it, my friend.

How can you cry?

You’re saying you want school fees money?

Yesterday I bought watches worth 2.2 million rands.

I will send you the video right now, 2.2 million South African rands; But you cry about school fees.

So now let me tell you my friend you fell out with your boss (murungu).

But if the murungu has accepted us back, let’s get whatever is there to keep you going.

Because what is difficult for us business people is running costs: you want to go there where you leave US$2000.

Your small house is troubling you, and you leave US$1000.

At home today is the 1st of the month, your wife is troubling you, the bills have piled up and you leave US$5000 and say here is the money.

The school fees let’s say it is US$10,000 or US$20,000. It is nothing!, pay, pay, pay: You are finished.

Your truck business, Mpofu, maybe things are not working well but then pops up this passive income that keeps you going.

That’s what I thought.

I said fine let me reconnect with these guys.

Because I could easily strike a new deal and we have a large lump sum of money, that will suffocate you; right now right now there is a drought- we will just create a structure and all of a sudden we are now recognized as people who are supplying the whole country with grain, and we just throw in the application and it is said that the grain is being supplied by a company called Militech, it is the one that is supplying all the grain.

It is the one that has won the contract.

Whom!, advance payment: and we are all of a sudden now starting to function.

And by the way, our technique is that of advance payments, we are trusted are you forgetting, that we are the boss’ children? Do you see now?

So I need a team like that.

Yes, I’ve got my own projects.

I have so many projects that I am chasing, but, I need a team like you that we can share ideas together, to say this we are hitting it this way and then then that one we are hitting it that way;

Yes, it is my project alone but the payments you will get them, when you have your people over there, I will give you money for some drinks, oh no guys here is US$50,000 take it for now;

Oh no here is US$100,000, we want to go for holiday to go to South Africa and then we say we go there next week;

I even told Victor my boys I am now agreeing with them, they even came here angry saying “we want our cars back!,” they said.

They even came and they were angry while with Mike [Chimombe], and said talk to your boss (your murungu), Talk to your boss talk to your boss!

But then now I lose all strength and say these people oh God, you know I did not want to walk away from them, without creating their US$10 million, for each person.

And now look at them and understand that the levels have shifted from [or since] election time I am now 10 times higher than I was then if not [20 times].

So the levels have shifted so you have been left behind if only you had traveled with me, step-by-step we would be here all of us so you have to give it time, then isn’t it?

Be patient then;

Let us wait for another three months let us get closer what has been given as it is okay let us keep quiet.

Keep silent while we wait for another job, hovering around for another government ministry project.

I just thought let me say good morning it is food for thought, there is no one I am insulting, have a good day.

Chivhayo Breathes Fire Over Leaked Audios

By Political Correspondent- Controversial businessman and Zanu PF sympathiser Wicknell Chivhayo is outraged over the release of two leaked audios in which he is allegedly heard boasting about his influence over the first family.

The audios circulating on social media feature Chivhayo bragging about being untouchable and claiming he can influence the President to grant him government tenders.

They also mention senior government officials and the CIO Boss as accomplices in helping him loot national resources through these tenders.

In a statement on Wednesday, Chivhayo, now under scrutiny from authorities for divulging these secrets, denied being the person speaking in the audio.

Part of his statement reads:

Whilst the content of the alleged voice messages is undoubtedly false and deliberately fabricated, I understand the adverse impression that it has created on certain sensitive offices in both Government and the private sector. In particular, one of the offensive remarks made in these fake voice messages is that certain payment was to be made to a “DG” and another to “moms”. These terms have regrettably been ascribed to certain offices within structures of Government, and have been understood by the public to refer to a Director General. The remarks bear an undesirable effect of giving an impression that these authorities are involved in corruption or participate in illicit transactions. It is public knowledge that the only extent of my donations of 20 thousand USD were towards the ED UNZA Scholarship in 2023 and the Angel of Hope Foundation as both organisations dovetail with my philanthropic work. For the avoidance of doubt, I have never paid the Head of State, the First Lady or any other Government official anything outside of the two donations that I have referred to above. Related to this, I do not hold or exert any influence or control over the President, the First Lady, the First Family, Government officials or any public entity. I am an ordinary card-carrying member of ZANU PF, which I proudly support

Things Fall Apart In Mnangagwa’s Zanu PF Party

By A Correspondent

In a somber turn of events, the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU PF) faces an internal implosion as the fabric holding the party together appears to be fraying at the seams.

The emergency meeting held on a tense Monday was indicative of escalating tensions within the once-revolutionary party, now struggling amidst both internal discord and external pressures stemming from an increasingly dire economic landscape.

The meeting, flagged as a “ZANU PF Policy and Coordination Meeting,” was presided over by the Secretary-General, Dr. Obert Mpofu.

The agenda, as disclosed by an inside source, featured critical discussions on the state of the party, the faltering economy, and the weight of international affairs bearing down on Zimbabwe.

The factionalism and power struggles that have long simmered beneath the surface of ZANU PF now seem poised to erupt into full view.

Sources within the party have hinted at deep-rooted conflicts that threaten to tear apart the very foundation on which ZANU PF was built.

The economic turmoil faced by Zimbabwe has only added fuel to the fire, exacerbating existing tensions and creating an environment ripe for dissent and discord.

As the party grapples with the repercussions of a deepening economic crisis, members are finding themselves increasingly at odds over the path forward, with diverging opinions on how best to navigate the turbulent waters ahead.

A Zanu PF source on Monday said :
“We are at a critical juncture in the history of our party, facing challenges that demand unity and resolve. The state of the party is under strain, and we must address these internal fissures before they widen beyond repair.”

The mention of ‘international affairs’ on the meeting’s agenda only serves to underscore the extent to which external pressures are compounding ZANU PF’s internal struggles.

As Zimbabwe navigates a complex web of diplomatic relations and economic dependencies, the party finds itself at a crossroads, where decisions made in the corridors of power will reverberate far beyond the nation’s borders.

Zimbabwe Worry-us Lose Again!

By A Correspondent

Zimbabwe’s national soccer team, the Warriors, find themselves in the midst of a tumultuous period as they struggle to secure victories in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The recent 1-3 defeat at the hands of Bafana Bafana in South Africa adds to their woes following a humiliating 0-2 loss to Lesotho’s Crocodiles.

These consecutive defeats have not only tarnished the team’s reputation but have also ignited frustration and disappointment among devoted football enthusiasts across the nation.

The Warriors’ current campaign in the World Cup Qualifiers has been nothing short of a nightmare, with the team failing to secure a single victory.

This string of defeats has brought to light various underlying issues plaguing the team, further exacerbating their struggles on the pitch.

One significant setback for the Warriors has been the inability to secure a home ground for their matches due to political unrest.

The absence of a stable and supportive environment to host games has undoubtedly hampered the team’s performance and added an additional layer of difficulty to an already challenging situation.

Furthermore, concerns have been raised regarding the commitment of players, coaching staff, and administrative personnel associated with the national team.

Reports of internal discord, lackluster training sessions, and a general sense of disarray have sparked debates about the overall dedication and professionalism within the team.

The poor administration of the national soccer program has also come under scrutiny, with critics pointing to a lack of strategic planning, investment, and long-term vision as contributing factors to the team’s decline.

A well-structured and efficiently managed football ecosystem is crucial for nurturing talent, fostering a winning mentality, and achieving sustained success at the international level.

For Zimbabwean football enthusiasts, supporting the national team has transformed from a source of pride and unity to a source of heartache and disappointment.

The dwindling performances and lackluster displays on the pitch have left fans disillusioned and questioning the future of soccer in the country.

Despite the current challenges and setbacks, there remains hope for the Warriors to turn the tide and reclaim their former glory.

Addressing the systemic issues affecting the team will require a collective effort from stakeholders at all levels of the sport – from the Football Association to players, coaches, fans, and the broader community.

In the face of adversity, it is crucial for Zimbabwean soccer to reinvigorate its passion, recommit to excellence, and strive for positive change.

Zanu PF Blames Chamisa for Warriors’ Loss to Bafana Bafana

By A Correspondent

In the unpredictable realm of politics, the blame game frequently serves as a convenient tool for shifting attention and scapegoating opponents.

Such manoeuvres often spark both outrage and incredulity.

The recent spectacle featuring Zimbabwe’s ruling party, Zanu PF, pointing the finger at opposition leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa for the national football team’s defeat by South Africa’s Bafana Bafana encapsulates this phenomenon vividly.

The Zimbabwe Warriors’ disappointing 1-3 loss to Bafana Bafana yesterday left many fans disheartened and eager for explanations.

However, instead of introspection or constructive analysis, Zanu PF Patriots opted for an unexpected turn of events.

Their public expression of frustration took the form of a direct attack on Advocate Nelson Chamisa.

The simplistic and inflammatory slogan “Pasi naChamisa Nxa‼️” reverberated through the public sphere, sparking considerable controversy.

The decision to blame a political figure for a national sports team’s defeat underscores a troubling trend in Zimbabwean politics—a trend where responsibility is deflected rather than assumed.

While it is not uncommon for sports outcomes to evoke strong emotions, the injection of partisan politics into the realm of athletics blurs lines and risks undermining the spirit of unity and sportsmanship that sports should ideally embody.

The timing and nature of Zanu PF’s accusations against Chamisa raise questions about the motives behind such actions.

Is this a genuine belief in the opposition leader’s influence over football outcomes, a diversionary tactic to shift attention from other pressing national issues, or simply a reflection of the increasingly polarized political landscape in the country?

The ramifications of such politicization extend beyond the bounds of a football match.

By intertwining sports with politics in this manner, the ruling party sets a precedent that could corrode the integrity of sports as an arena for fair competition and national pride.

The spectacle of Zanu PF Patriots chanting slogans against Chamisa in response to a football defeat exemplifies the erosion of boundaries that should exist between politics and sports.

In a healthy democracy, political parties should engage in constructive dialogue, address substantive issues, and demonstrate accountability to the public.

One political analyst observed :

“Using a sports defeat as a platform for partisan attacks not only trivializes the significance of the game but also diminishes the credibility of the accusers.”

Chivhayo Issues Statement On Leaked Audio Messages

STATEMENT ON VOICE MESSAGES CIRCULATING ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

It has been brought to my attention that there are voice messages purportedly being attributed to me which are circulating on various social media platforms. In these ‘voice notes’ I am alleged to have either communicated the impression that I wield certain influence over particular authorities of the State or that I intended to facilitate the making of certain payments to named individuals. In the public interest, I wish to make the following statement conscientiously in order to state the correct and factual position on this subject;

1. I categorically refute, deny and dismiss with contempt, recording the voice messages in question. For the avoidance of any doubt I have never, at any material time, recorded the alleged voice messages, neither have I transmitted such to anyone. I therefore unequivocally distance and totally dissociate myself from these unauthentic voice messages. I have reason to believe that these recordings were generated through sophisticated technology, all with the fraudulent intention of creating false alarm and despondency.

2. The content and character of the alleged voice messages is however consistent with a sustained attack on my character and standing as a businessman by two excitable individuals who have recently made outrageous demands for certain payments from me without any legal or contractual basis of doing so. These two failed , struggling briefcase businessmen MIKE CHIMOMBE and MOSES MPOFU are merely overzealous extortionists and fraudsters who solely rely on opportunistic delinquency as a means of survival. If their demands for payment were indeed genuine, the duo should have approached the Courts of law for redress.

3. No amount of intimidation, coercion or duress will ever result in the unlawful making of payments that are not due or payable by me. I am fully prepared for any litigation or other consequence arising from demands by these two which are entirely premised on non-existent, fallacious, unlawful and extortionate grounds. I fully reserve my rights to take stern legal action against these two for conduct that is grossly defamatory and that is well calculated to put my name and business interests in to disrepute.

4. I categorically deny having any business relationship with these two illiterate individuals or concluding any dealings, in terms of which they would be paid what they are publicly demanding. I further place on record that I have not, whether personally or through any of my companies, been a party to a contract with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, Department of Immigration or the Zimbabwe Republic Police as insinuated in the manufactured voice messages. These Government entities are available to confirm this position.

5. The fake voice messages, coupled with previously circulated fraudulent documents on the same subject, are cluttered with political innuendos and undertones. The shadowy intention of these despicable claims is to discredit and soil the image of His Excellency, President E.D. Mnangagwa, the First Family and the legitimacy of the Second Republic after its resounding victory in the August 2023 harmonized elections. The machinations are also well calculated to put into question and cast aspersions on the procurement processes which relate to the conducting of the last elections in Zimbabwe. I wish to publicly state that I have not been involved, neither do I hold any influence over procurement processes by ZEC or any other Government Ministries, Departments or Agencies.

6. It is public knowledge that the only extent of my donations of 20 thousand USD were towards the ED UNZA Scholarship in 2023 and the Angel of Hope Foundation as both organizations dovetail with my philanthropic work. For the avoidance of doubt, I have never paid the Head of State, the First Lady or any other Government official anything outside of the two donations that I have referred to above. Related to this, I do not hold or exert any influence or control over the President, the First Lady, the First Family, Government officials or any public entity. I am an ordinary card-carrying member of ZANU PF, which I proudly support.

7. I hereby express my deep regret and profound apology to the esteemed office of H. E. President E. D. Mnangagwa, the First Lady, the First Family and any office or public official that these fake voice messages may have adversely affected or drawn into disrepute. I have taken a further step to personally extend my remorse and apologies to all Director Generals in Government, upon whom the malicious voice messages may unjustly be construed as applying. For the record, I hold all the Director Generals in various Government Departments in the highest regard. I have known them as men and women of unquestionable integrity and do not deserve having their good standing and repute being unnecessarily dragged in such mischievous yet damaging controversies. I once again extend my deepest regret over this unfortunate development, the extent of which bears the potential of diminishing public confidence in the affected Government institutions. I undertake to fully assist to the greatest possible extent, in demonstrating how the fake voice messages are devoid of any truth. I repeat that at no given time did I ever pay the Director General CIO Isaac Moyo or the Chief Secretary in the President and Cabinet Martin Rushwaya any money whatsoever for any service.

8. I wish to restate that I am a law-abiding citizen and businessman of international repute who upholds the highest level of integrity in all my business transactions. I do not condone any corrupt practices and I thoroughly condemn any illicit, criminal or unethical conduct in both the public and private sectors. I give my personal undertaking to cause a comprehensive investigation of this matter through the appropriate State authorities, whose findings will be made available in the public interest.

MADZIBABA WICKNELL MUNODAANI CHIVAYO

Zanu PF Thugs Raid, Attack Gays

By Political Reporter- Over the weekend, suspected Zanu PF thugs raided the offices of the Gays and Lesbians Association of Zimbabwe (GALZ), threatening to “deal with them.”

Disguised as representatives of various churches, the group denounced the association’s activities and defaced the perimeter wall of the GALZ offices with graffiti.

The group, consisting of about a dozen men and women, also vandalised the property, writing slogans such as “Say No” and “Down with Homosexuals” on the wall and gate of GALZ’s Milton Park offices in Harare.

In a statement following the incident, GALZ expressed the fear and concern now felt by its members:

“GALZ, an association of LGBTI people in Zimbabwe, categorically condemns the acts of vandalism and intimidation that occurred today (09 June 2024) at our Harare office around 3:30 PM. A group of individuals claiming to represent various Christian churches descended on our Harare centre, chanting slogans against homosexuality. They proceeded to vandalise the property, painting hateful graffiti on the walls. While we respect differences in values, it is utterly unacceptable to deploy acts of vandalism and intimidation against communities that hold different values. GALZ has filed an official police report, and we are cooperating fully with the ongoing investigations. We call on the authorities to hold the perpetrators accountable for these criminal actions. This act of violence has not been committed in isolation; it is a stark reminder of the ongoing discrimination and hostility that our community faces. We urge religious and political leaders to condemn such acts of hate and to uphold the constitutional rights and freedoms for all citizens to be protected by law regardless of their diverse backgrounds, including sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. GALZ remains steadfast in its mission to ensure LGBTI people are treated as equal citizens in Zimbabwe, and such attempts to deny our existence will not discourage us from further advocating for our rights.”

Zimbabwe’s constitution prohibits same-sex marriage but is silent on gay relations.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has also not indicated that he would protect gays.

This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the LGBTI community in Zimbabwe, where discrimination and hostility remain prevalent.

Zanu PF Spokesperson Issues Chilling Warning To Chivhayo

By A Correspondent| Zanu PF Spokesperson Farai Marapira yesterday repeated government spokesperson Nick Mangwana warning against controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo whose recent audios where he revealed intricate details of his tenderpreneurship leaked on social media.

In the leaked audios, Chivhayo is heard saying he is trusted by President Emmerson Mnangagwa who calls him his son.

Posting on social media yesterday, Nick Mangwana likened Chivhayo to a character called Icarus who was warned against flying too close to the sun, lest his wax will melt.

“Icarus was warned by his father not to fly too close to the sun, as the wax that his wings were made from would melt. But fueled by the adrenaline rush of flying , Icarus failed to rein in his excitement and felt he was the man of the moment. He did not heed the warnings, Icarus was so intoxicated by the experience of flying and never thought he could tumble from this loft height, so he flew higher and higher getting closer and closer to the sun. The closer he came to the sun, the more the wax in his wings melted. He tumbled into the sea and drowned,” said Mangwana.

Now another top Zanu PF politician, Farai Marapira has joined in, warning that those who play with the President will fall off.

“There are some things that are played with and dithered with. Not our Leader and President. There’s one guaranteed thing about people on high horses…. They fall off… Pride comes before a great fall…,” said Marapira.

Mai Titi In Love Again, Vows It Will Work This Time Around

By A Correspondent| Controversial socialite Mai Titi has paraded a new boyfriend claiming they have been seeing each for the past three years.

Posting on her Facebook page, Mai Titi said the new guy has refused to remain underground, hence her decision to parade him to her over 1 million followers.

“Hanzi naShumba 2 years ndichijirwa musaga handichade ndakuda kubuda musaga manje saka tine page ratichakupay ramuchatevera nhaika muchiona henyu our Journey. November will be 3 years together ende ava havo kwavanoenda hako hapana ndakaisa iri barbed wire chaiyo ???. Ndandamboti ayiwa garai kuseri but vati asi unezvaurikuvanza saka ayiwa Shumba kuvanhu,” said Mai Titi.

Mai Titi’s last relationship ended in tears for her as her haters had predicted. Despite splashing over US$100 000, the marriage with Tinashe Maphosa did not last longer than a month.

She accused Tinashe Maphosa of conning her.

Other previous relationships ended on a bad note and many have urged her not to fall in love again but she seems adamant and is confident that this time it will finally work out.

Mai Titi is yet to reveal the full details of her plans with the new guy who is of Shumba totem.

Mavaza Says: Chivayo Is Not In The President’s Name

BY DR. MASIMBA MAVAZA | The controversial businessman who donates cars to hundreds of people and a self-proclaimed rich man, Mr. Wicknel Chivhayo, has been caught in a web of confusion following the leaking of an audio where he is heard boasting that he controls the president. He continues to state that he is the most loved person by the President of the country.

Wicknell Chivayo

His audio has outraged many Zimbabweans who now believe that Chivhayo is getting some underhanded favors. Chivhayo, in another leaked audio, went on dropping names in order to be taken as a blue-eyed boy of the president. Chivhayo is saying no more than a stringing together of a combination of genuine incidents of corruption and fabricated incidents tarnishing the image of the innocent by associating them with corruption. The major reason for his boastful audio is to undermine the good work being done by the President and ZANU PF.

Name dropping, in politics, gossip, and bullying in the party and corridors of power can have devastating effects on the popularity of the president or the party. This is what Chivayo has done, and he should be reined in to clear the names he is dropping in order for him to gain popularity. Anything he does, he will say it is from the president. As a result, everyone claims to know so and so, and better still, they claim to be connected to the president and always will put the fear of the president into many hearts in many situations. Chivayo’s behavior is a serious breach of decency; his name-dropping antics have created thugs and gangsters to terrorize the youth in business. Senior party and government officials are tripping over each other in the name of the president to go and be extorted by Wicknel Chivhayo. Not in His Excellency’s name. Business platforms have been gripped by the fear of criminals acting in the name of the president to enrich their sick minds and fat pockets.

It takes a certain kind of narcissism, delusional thinking, and egomania to boast that one is more loved and respected by the president. But mental health does not seem to impact votes; as a matter of fact, mental illness is a characteristic that may actually rest in Chivayo’s mind. This isn’t to say that mental illness inevitably leads to great business leadership, however. Certain businesses and their leadership qualities are enhanced by mental illness realism, creativity, resilience, and empathy. Chivayo has not embarked on a clear known business amid clandestine investigation because he is not concerned about development in Zimbabwe or anywhere else in the world. He has shown that he is dangerous and corrupt and has taken a chance given to him as a weakness. This is just the nature of human beings. Chivayo’s audios seem to be designed as an incendiary political campaign weapon.

The businessman Chivayo has been a few years in the making, and the timing of his audio’s release is poignantly calculated to coincide with the national program of developing the youth and women. Chivayo is actually soiling the chances of others who could be given a chance to grow in business.

There is no denying that there is corruption in our country, much the same way as you will find in any country in the world. What is lamentable here is that the overriding purpose of the audio by Chivayo is to interfere with the political process of a sovereign state. We cannot afford to have business people attempting so grossly to interfere with developmental programs. Chivayo is a shame to our country, and his boastful nonsense, which he speaks with impunity, damages the good name of the president.

President Mnangagwa has broken barriers and opened his arms and embraced everyone to benefit from the national cake. Some have used the President’s benevolence to develop the youth and the country, and some have taken it to their selfish, showy endeavors. The youth must choose their destiny with no interference from loud-mouthed people who drop the names of senior people for their own selfish benefit, which is as brazen as it is nauseating.

It is telling that Chivayo will boast about how he is loved, but he cannot show us what he has done. He is actually portraying a system of receiving millions without working for them.

The reason why Chivayo is name-dropping is very clear. He wants to portray himself as a very powerful businessman. The president is a humble man who allows everyone to be given a chance to develop. Chivayo’s audio is about destroying Zanu PF, its leadership, and facilitating regime change. We cannot even imagine any human being talking like that. His audio and name-dropping are deeply disturbing, totally depressing, and flabbergasting.

The main target of any person who name-drops is obviously the Honorable President ED. We have had too many instances where individuals take advantage of photo opportunities with the president. These are corrupt and manipulative characters. They then do name-dropping, which is to drop the name of the president in conversations as a way of vainly boosting their empty profiles and making commerce out of this. We have Chivayo extensively dropping big names to vainly promote his own brand. He has proven that he is a dubious character and what he said is damaging and soiling the name of the president. Being that as it may, Chivayo abused his position. It’s not everybody who stands with the president for a photo who is a patriot.

The truth is that the president does not have to take photos with members of his family only or with ministers only. He is a leader and a public figure. So he poses for photos with every Zimbabwean who comes to meet him if the opportunity allows. This is what Chivayo did, and now he is abusing this opportunity. He is repaying the president by biting the very hand which feeds him. It is ludicrous to suggest that anyone and everyone who shakes the hand of the president or has a photo with him is his friend or associate or acquaintance. The truth is that he forgets most of their names as soon as the camera flash is gone. Chivayo soils the good names of those who have been good enough to allow him to flourish in business.

No one ever suggests that people who shake King Charles’s hand or any other leader’s hand are known to that leader. It is clearly mischievous and cynical to define hand-shaking with President ED as an association in corruption. Chivayo acted weak and dishonorable; he fails the test of public life and brings further disgrace on the government and the party and many people who associate with him. Ensuring the integrity and lawful conduct of people who mingle with the president, such as politicians, is integral to the public interest given the trust we place in them. But the way Chivayo acted is pathetic and deeply depressing. It puts the name of the president in bad shape.

The truth is that Chivayo fell disastrously short of the standards that the public has a right to expect of those who rub shoulders with number one in any given situation. When the public needed him most, Chivayo failed.

Disciplinary frameworks must be set up to ensure people abide by their expected code of ethics and ordinary standards expected of them. Where these codes are breached, the person is liable to appropriate internal disciplinary action which may include loss of income, a change in job role, compulsory attendance at counseling or training courses, and even termination of employment. It has become apparent that Chivayo was being a power unto himself. The president is entitled to assume that those that enter his office have been vetted and that appropriate officers are convinced that any audience with the president is in the national interest. Those who do not do their vetting job properly must understand the horrendous consequences of their culpable neglect. Such neglect is so detrimental to the interest of our country and it gives opportunity for our detractors to pounce.

Some people use the name of the president to line their pockets and amass wealth. We must brace ourselves to deal with this problem coming our way. Chivayo is just doing like what any conman does, name-dropping, and anything he said is to create him as a superman in the heart of the president. He did not speak in His Excellency’s name. It is high time that we see those after criminal activities hiding behind the first family.

President ED Mnangagwa considers corruption a major challenge to his goals of ending extreme poverty by 2030 and boosting shared prosperity for the poorest 100 percent of people in Zimbabwe. Corruption has a disproportionate impact on the poor and most vulnerable, increasing costs and reducing access to services, including health, education, and justice. Corruption in the procurement of drugs and medical equipment drives up costs and can lead to sub-standard or harmful products. The President is aware that every stolen or misdirected dollar robs the poor of an equal opportunity in life and prevents governments from investing in their human capital.

Corruption erodes trust in government and undermines the social contract. The President of Zimbabwe recognizes that corruption might impact service delivery. Corruption might unfairly determine the winners of government contracts, with awards favoring friends, relatives, or business associates of government officials. Or it might come in the form of state capture, distorting how institutions work and who controls them, a form of corruption that is often the costliest in terms of overall economic impact. Each type of corruption is important, and tackling all of them is critical to achieving progress and sustainable change. To that end, the president will never support corruption in any way.

Corruption is a global problem that requires global solutions. The President of Zimbabwe has been working to mitigate the pernicious effects of corruption. The president works with the public and private sectors as well as civil society to support efforts to prevent corruption, improve remedies to address wrongdoing when it occurs, as well as work towards improving behaviors,

“Hombe yaBaba Haibatwe!” DJ Fantan Song Exposing Wicknell Chivayo

By Showbiz Reporter | Singer and producer, DJ Fantan has released a song that may explain the mood inside ZANU PF against the convicted money launderer, Wicknell Chivayo who has exposed himself in leaked audios for tender-money theft plus speeches contemptuous of his president Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The song says in part: “hombe yaBaba haibatwe! -you should never touch the father’s thing, what’s read as an indirect reference to Chivayo’s “I have captured this thing in a dzvii! way,” statement in his first weekend audio.

The track suggests a way ZANU Pf youths are expressing disgust at Chivayo.

SCHOOL POISONING: 37-Yr-Old Woman Arrested

Attempted Murder Charges Filed in Suspected School Food Poisoning Incident

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | Murombedzi, Zimbabwe – June 12, 2024 | A 37-year-old woman from Zvimba is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly poisoning food meant for children at Matoranhembe Primary School in Murombedzi. The incident, which occurred on June 7, 2024, has left the community in shock and raised serious concerns about safety in schools.

According to a press statement released by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) on June 9, 2024, eight pupils at Matoranhembe Primary School fell ill after consuming rice and soup that had been packed in a lunch box. The children started vomiting and complained of severe stomach pains. They were quickly transported to Murombedzi Rural Hospital, where they received treatment for suspected food poisoning.

Police investigations revealed that the food was prepared by the accused woman, who allegedly laced it with poison. She then gave the tainted food to her daughter with instructions to share it with her peers at school. The State is now alleging that this was a deliberate attempt to harm the children.

The accused appeared before the Chinhoyi Magistrates Court and has been remanded in custody until June 20, 2024, when her bail application will be considered.

This disturbing event has prompted the authorities to intensify their efforts in combating crime and corruption, with the police urging parents and guardians to be vigilant about their children’s safety.

Further details are expected to emerge as the police continue their inquiries into this case. The community is left grappling with the aftermath of this alarming incident, and the safety of school environments is under close scrutiny.

Zanu PF Hardliners Send Chilling Warning To Chivayo

By A Correspondent

Wicknell Chivayo, a prominent businessman in Zimbabwe, has found himself in hot water after a leaked audio recording in which he boasted about his connections to the ruling Zanu PF party.

The recording has not only caused a stir among political circles, but has also attracted the attention of Chiwenga sympathizers, known as the Varakashi Team.

In the leaked audio, Chivayo can be heard bragging about his influence within Zanu PF and even going as far as claiming control over the Presidium.

This has not gone down well with many within the party, especially those who are loyal to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

The Varakashi Team, believed to be aligned with Chiwenga, has openly threatened Chivayo, warning him to watch his back.

In a statement issued on Monday, the group declared, “Dakumuputitsa chimimba mutekwa chake,” which roughly translates to ” We want to deal with that fat man. “

The threat from the Varakashi Team has left many wondering about the implications for Chivayo and his business interests.

The businessman, who is known for his flashy lifestyle and controversial dealings, may now have to watch his back as tensions escalate within Zanu PF.

It remains to be seen how this situation will unfold and whether Chivayo will face any consequences for his comments.

For now, the businessman is facing the wrath of Chiwenga sympathizers, who are not taking his words lightly. As the political landscape in Zimbabwe continues to shift, individuals like Chivayo may find themselves caught in the crossfire of internal party tensions.

Henrietta Case: Prosecutor Sentenced to 8 Years for Fraud

By Dorrothy Moyo | Harare, Zimbabwe — In a significant crackdown on corruption, Pardon Dziva, a Public Prosecutor stationed at the Harare Magistrates’ Court, has been sentenced to 8 years in prison. Dziva, alongside his co-accused Alex Tombe, appeared at the Harare High Court today for sentencing on fraud charges.

The case, which has drawn widespread attention, began on November 15, 2023, when Dziva demanded USD 20,000 from Wellington Takavarasha to secure a lighter sentence for Henrietta Rushwaya, who had been convicted of smuggling. Takavarasha informed Henrietta Rushwaya’s sister, Helliate Rushwaya, of the demand. Helliate Rushwaya then reported the incident to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Anti-Corruption Unit, who orchestrated a sting operation.

Helliate Rushwaya arranged to meet the accused at the CABS Centre. During this meeting, Tombe, acting on Dziva’s behalf, approached her to collect the money. Helliate Rushwaya refused to hand over the cash and insisted on meeting Dziva directly. The parties then moved to Kebbab Restaurant in Milton Park, where the transaction took place in Helliate Rushwaya’s vehicle. Dziva accepted the trap money, leading to the immediate arrest of both accused.

In court, Dziva received a 10-year sentence, with 2 years suspended for 5 years on the condition of not committing a similar offense. Tombe was sentenced to 8 years, with 2 years suspended under the same conditions.

This sentencing marks a pivotal moment in Zimbabwe’s ongoing battle against corruption within the judicial system, signaling a strong message against malfeasance by public officials.

Chivayo Divides Zanu PF

By A Correspondent

In the heart of Zanu PF, a storm is brewing, fueled by the steadfast support of Wicknell Chivayo’s ardent followers amidst the mounting tension within the party. The controversial businessman, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and questionable dealings, has found resolute defenders in the face of scrutiny from within his own political circles.

Recent events have shone a light on the intense loyalty that some individuals hold for Chivayo, as they rally around him despite the turmoil he has sparked. Supporters of the businessman, often referred to as sympathizers, have taken proactive measures to shield him from criticism, leading to a clash of opinions and a testing of allegiances within the ranks of Zanu PF.

One of the most notable incidents that have contributed to the escalating discord within the party involves beneficiaries of Chivayo’s generosity, particularly those who have received cars from him.

In a bid to shield their benefactor, these individuals have resorted to aggressive tactics, such as threatening members of WhatsApp groups and expelling dissenting voices from the platform.

The tensions came to a head when DJ Masomere, a prominent figure within the party, voiced his frustrations over the actions of Muchina Muhombe, who was questioning the authenticity of Chivayo’s actions.

“King tokudzurai pano*,” DJ Masomere fumed, highlighting the stark division that has emerged within the party as a result of Chivayo’s controversial actions and the ensuing defense of his supporters.

Amidst the chaos that has engulfed Zanu PF, a poignant observation has been made by some critics of Chivayo and his loyalists. They argue that an empty stomach and a gluttonous mind are not the hallmarks of good political advisors.

This statement underscores the concern that blind allegiance and personal gain may be clouding the judgment of those who choose to stand by Chivayo, regardless of the controversies that surround him.

As the turmoil within Zanu PF continues to escalate, it raises questions not only about the character of Wicknell Chivayo but also about the integrity of those who vehemently defend him. In a political landscape already rife with challenges and divisions, the unyielding support for a figure like Chivayo threatens to further destabilize an already fragile environment.

Police Nab Bogus Cops

By A Correspondent

In a shocking turn of events in the heart of Harare, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) unveiled a case of deception and abuse as Kundai Taruvinga, aged 29, was apprehended for impersonating a police officer on the 8th of June, 2024, at the Machipisa Shopping Centre.

This incident sheds light on the dangers that lurk when imposters don the badge of authority, wreaking havoc on innocent individuals for their own gain.

The distressing ordeal began when Taruvinga, alongside two unidentified collaborators, masqueraded as law enforcement officers, descending upon a forex trader operating at the bustling shopping centre.

Under the guise of conducting official duties, they accused the victim of illicit foreign currency dealings. What transpired next spiralled into a nightmare as the trio resorted to physical violence, brutally assaulting the trader.

It was the timely intervention of vigilant members of the public that prevented a potentially tragic outcome.

Swift to protect the victim from further harm, bystanders rallied together to apprehend Kundai Taruvinga. However, the two accomplices managed to evade capture, slipping away into the crowd.

Now, the call resounds across the city for any individuals holding crucial information that could lead to the apprehension of these fugitives to come forward.

The ZRP urges witnesses to report to the nearest police station, emphasizing the collective responsibility we share in combating crime and upholding justice within our communities.

Exposing Emmerson Mnangagwa Deceit

By A Correspondent

In the heart of Norton, lies a tale of neglect and danger that affects the most vulnerable members of society – delivering mothers.

The plight of these women, who arrive at the Norton Hospital maternity ward full of hope and anticipation, is one tainted by the inadequate and unsanitary conditions they are forced to endure during a critical moment in their lives.

Norton MP Hon Richard Tsvangirai recently shone a light on this unsettling reality, criticizing the Zanu PF regime for failing to prioritize the well-being of delivering mothers in his constituency. In a scathing remark, he highlighted the perilous state of the main hospital and the unacceptable conditions faced by new mothers.

“Mnangagwa’s regime is killing delivering mothers softly by ignoring the dire situation at Norton Hospital,” Hon Tsvangirai emphasized.

The maternity ward at Norton Hospital witnesses the birth of 150 to 200 babies each month, a commendable effort facilitated by the dedicated nurses.

However, this noble work is overshadowed by a chilling reality – new mothers are compelled to bathe in a dirty and filthy tub.

This lack of hygiene not only strips these women of their dignity but also exposes them to unnecessary health risks.

“There’s no disease prevention while using that bath tub,” Hon Tsvangirai lamented, highlighting the immediate need for urgent action to rectify this appalling situation.

Adding to the dismay is the revelation that the Norton town council, responsible for collecting hospital fees, operates with a substantial budget. The question of why this management fails to address such a basic need as replacing the dilapidated bath tub remains unanswered.

The funds allocated for the betterment of healthcare infrastructure and the well-being of patients seem to have vanished into a void of neglect and mismanagement.

“The Norton town council has a duty to ensure that the facilities at Norton Hospital are conducive for the well-being of both patients and staff. It is an utter disgrace that delivering mothers are subjected to such deplorable conditions,” Hon Tsvangirai expressed, echoing the exasperation of many within the community.

The inadequacies within Norton Hospital serve as a stark reminder of the urgent reforms needed within the healthcare sector in Zimbabwe.

The lives of delivering mothers, who already navigate a precarious journey, should not be jeopardized due to the negligence and oversight of those in power.

BREAKING: Wicknell Chivayo Tuesday Audio Leak | ANOTHER RECORDING WITH CLEAR SPLIT PAYMENTS

[TRANSCRIBED BY ZIMEYE] Good morning, good morning eeh members. Aaah, South Africa has received the money and they have said that they want to start off with payments for the 1,000,000 to Better Brands which is what we had signed the contract for, then after the holiday we will be able to engage them because we had agreed to give them seven days for the money to go smoothly without money laundering clearance bottlenecks, they don’t want to appear like they are going too fast with money, so for Easter purposes I put pressure for 1 million to be paid so that we can run around; so as agreed Scott is going to take 350,000, then 150 000 goes to Mike, then another 150,000 goes to Mpofu, and then Moms gets 100,000 and then DG we give him 100,000, to make a total of 1 million isn’t it? 150 x 4 is 600, then Scott his 200 to make 800. What do I do? What also I do? Scott takes 350 then 650,000. 650,000 remains; moms gets 100, 100 then 450 we split for 3: 150 and 150 and 150 so if the money, R18,000,000 goes to Scott’s FNB account he opened last month, it will be frozen there at FNB.

So can you send me, your bank account numbers, Mpofu his, Mike, his, so that we can settle the amounts this morning the 150 payments, I also get mine and then the rest we talk next week; Okay. Please send them as soon as possible, thank you;

I don’t want the involvement of a lot of people on this matter Mpofu, I’m very disappointed, you are not sober at an extreme level.

Chief Jose (Joseph Mhaka, convicted UK Cheque fraudster) You went out talking talking to, saying a lot of things about me. Chief Jose, is my best friend from 1992. How can you do this to me to go and work with Mpofu, you can see that these people are after me threatening me over goat issues, I told you, let’s do this privately. But you are going all over the show saying all sorts of things. All sorts of threats. Things won’t end well; things won’t end well. I don’t know how you are getting all this strength, and now to be honest, even this thing of your companies that do printing to be honest, I’m not interested. I want us to finish this next week, then we shake hands and then we part our ways. Because it is pointless hey. I’m saying, come let us eat my friend. I have an opportunity. I thought you were going to do the tender business, and then you control everything there where you are, and then you tell me how much you want to be paid; in such situations I won’t get involved in your matters over there. But then you are causing a big mayhem. I don’t know if it is being broke which is giving you that excitement and big respect. I don’t understand. Two minutes, you have phoned here two minutes later you have done that; why are you involving Joseph Mhaka(UK convicted cheque fraudster). How does he get involved? Why can’t you be calm like a kamarada, a comrade who is composed? I am just disappointed and sorry to say all those other things that I was saying before I am no longer interested with the issues of that job, because they are not worth my while. I am now being bothered tossed to and fro, every two minutes, you say things won’t end well. I don’t work with people who threaten me. I work in love with the love, collaborating with each other well, as I give you facts: improve their arguments improve your arguments, Don’t raise your voice to me. Say, aaah, Sir here you are telling the truth. But my own point is this and this and this. What do you think about this? What do you think? What do you think about this? Not to spend every two minutes making threats things are going to explode. Things are going to explode. But now I am not a person who gets involved in violence. I have lived that life and I left it behind. I am a man of Business. I sit in boardrooms and we discuss together inside there. We must sit in and then we have failed to agree let’s fail to agree properly. If people say that this is the last job that we are doing together, it is still okay. We are still friends, you know. Now everyone is calling me; The issue is being discussed by everyone. Aaah, it is just disappointing. Anyway, send me your bank details as fast as possible. Thank you. – ZimEye

Chivhayo Pockets Mnangagwa

By Political Reporter- Well-known criminal and Zanu PF apologist Wicknell Chivhayo, has openly claimed to wield significant influence over President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

In a recently leaked audio that went viral over the weekend, Chivhayo is heard boasting to his fellow crooks about his control over the President.

He confidently asserts that he can direct Mnangagwa’s actions due to his close ties with the head of state, which he exploits to secure lucrative government contracts.

“I have captured this state entity with my bare hands,” Chivhayo declared, revealing his current focus on securing grain tenders amidst the drought.
“Right now, there is a drought. We will just create a structure, and suddenly, we are recognized as the main suppliers of grain in the country. We submit an application, and it’s immediately stated that Militech is supplying all the grain. It’s the company that has won the contract. Boom! Advance payment: and we start functioning immediately,” he detailed.

Chivhayo has reportedly been instrumental for Mnangagwa in recruiting celebrity support for Zanu PF, often by purchasing luxury cars for these influencers.

Malawi Names VP Plane Crash Victims

Malawi-The government of Malawi has released the names of officials who died in a tragic plane crash that claimed the life of Vice President Saulos Chilima.

The plane, carrying Chilima and nine others, crashed in the Chikangawa mountain range.

In a statement, the government confirmed that Mr Lukas Kapheni, Mr Chisomo Chimaneni, Ms Gloria Mtukule, Ms Shanil Dzimbiri, Mr Dan Kanyemba, Mr Abdul Lapukeni, Colonel Sambalopa, Major Selemani, and Major Aidin accompanied Vice President Chilima.

President Lazarus Chakwera declared Tuesday a national day of mourning.

“Unfortunately, all on board have perished in the crash,” the Office of the President and Cabinet stated on Tuesday morning.

Chilima, 51, and the other passengers were en route to attend the funeral of the country’s former attorney general when their plane lost contact with air traffic control. Officials reported that the plane had been unable to land at Mzuzu airport, approximately 200 miles north of the capital, due to poor visibility.

The pilot had been advised to return to Lilongwe when the flight disappeared from radar.

Malawi VP Killed In Plane Crash Had Publicly Accused Chakwera Of Fraud Before-Time

By Farai D Hove | Malawi is facing significant political turmoil following the death of Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima in a plane crash. Before his death, Chilima had subtly accused President Lazarus Chakwera of breaching a political agreement and called him a fraud in advance. This agreement, signed in 2020, stipulated that both leaders would only serve one term each.

In 2022, during a press briefing at the UTM headquarters in Area 10, Lilongwe, Chilima disclosed the details of the agreement. He explained that, according to their contract, President Chakwera was not supposed to be a presidential candidate beyond 2025. Instead, he would cede the candidacy to his running mate from the 2020 election. The agreement, meant to last ten years, aimed at fostering mutual support and ensuring each would lead the country for one term.

“That subject to the decision of the national executive committees or, as the case may be, of the UTM and the Malawi Congress Party, the presidential candidate during the fresh presidential election of 23 June, 2020 shall not be the presidential candidate during the immediate next election and shall cede the candidacy to the running mate in the fresh presidential election of 23 June, 2020,” reads clause number 11 of the agreement.

Chilima stressed that any deviation from this agreement would constitute political fraud. “Any departure from the Agreement amounts to political fraud not only on the parties to the Agreement, but also on the popular will that mandated the Alliance in the first place,” he emphasized.

He warned against allowing personal ambitions to destabilize the country: “There is no wisdom in name calling, abuse, arrogance, humiliation or indeed violence for something that came into being amid smiles and a sense of hope for many generations.”

Chilima expressed his dismay at how power dynamics within the Tonse Alliance had shifted, causing internal strife. “I am flabbergasted that power which was supposed to be shared under the Tonse Alliance has become sweet to some in MCP who are fueling political fights.”

He proposed that if internal conflicts continued, it would be best to terminate the alliance immediately and call for fresh elections. “If there is insistence from other elements within the Alliance and their advocacy for a split as we move towards 2025, the best would be to terminate the Alliance now. Indeed, if we were to terminate the Alliance, in honesty, we would have to call for a fresh presidential election. We should not continue our journey to 2025 with two hearts: One inside and another outside of the Alliance.”

Chilima acknowledged the contributions of all Tonse Alliance partners and emphasized the importance of fulfilling their promises to the Malawian people. He expressed gratitude to those who supported the alliance during the 2020 elections and lamented the failure to fully honor the agreement’s terms.

He reminded alliance members of their commitment to the people of Malawi and criticized premature political campaigns: “I wish to remind members of the Tonse Alliance that we NEVER at any stage promised Malawians another campaign, we promised them the Land of Canaan. And our mission should, therefore, solely be to get them there. Another campaign, three years away from an election, is most unfortunate, regrettable, abuse of the political process, and completely unnecessary.”

Chilima concluded by reiterating the foundational principles of the Tonse Agreement, which included promoting national unity, good governance, and mutual respect. He assured Malawians that their commitment to serving the nation remained strong despite the challenges.

“The commitment we made to be your servants remains intact. No amount of propaganda, innuendo, insult, humiliation will move us an inch. We as the UTM are a big part of this Administration and no one must be under any illusion to believe otherwise,” he declared.

Chilima’s statements suggest a deepening political crisis in Malawi, raising questions about the future of the Tonse Alliance and the country’s leadership.

How does President Chakwera remember late Rt. Hon. Chilima?

“Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima was a good man, a devoted father and husband, a patriotic citizen who served his country with distinction, and a formidable Vice President.

“I consider it one of the greatest honours of my life to have had him as my deputy and counsellor for the past four years, and his passing is a terrible loss to his wife Mary, his family, his friends, his colleagues in Cabinet, and to all of us as a nation that found his leadership and courage a source of inspiration.

“And I know that even the others who were on that flight were men and women of honour who served their country with distinction and whose families are left with broken hearts today.” – #Nyasatimes

Zuma Blocks Ramaphosa’s Presidency

South Africa— Former President Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has filed an urgent application with the Constitutional Court to halt the first sitting of Parliament scheduled for Friday.

The initial session of Parliament is crucial, as it involves the swearing-in of parliamentarians who will then elect a President to form a new government.

MKP is taking Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, Parliament Secretary Xolile George, and others to the Constitutional Court, asserting that the first sitting will lack a quorum without its members present at the swearing-in.

In a two-part application, MKP requests the Constitutional Court to urgently consider its application and to interdict Friday’s first sitting of the National Assembly from proceeding.

In the second part of the application, the party seeks a declaration from the court that Zondo’s and George’s conduct in proceeding with the sitting is “inconsistent with the Constitution.” MKP also wants a declaratory order stating that the National Assembly is not properly constituted if the first sitting comprises fewer than 340 members and no more than 400 members who have not been sworn in.

Additionally, the party wants the apex court to annul the Electoral Commission of South Africa’s (IEC) declaration of the elections as free and fair and to mandate President Cyril Ramaphosa to call for another election.

MKP Secretary-General Sihle Ngubane alleges in his affidavit that there is a “potential” tally of 590,000 votes affected by “discrepancies.” Ngubane contends that the matter will ultimately reach the Electoral Court, and thus, a new president cannot be elected before the issue is resolved.

Parliament will continue with the sitting unless interdicted by the Constitutional Court.

Senior Detective Attempts Suicide Over Mounting Pressure To Testify In High Profile Case

By A Correspondent| A senior police officer at Juru Police Station has testified that a colleague, Detective Inspector Mazorodze, attempted suicide due to the mounting pressure to testify in the high-profile case against Clark Makoni.

The case involves allegations that Courage Moyo, Anesu Muzira, Luckson Kandemiiri , Tonderai Bosha and Campbell tried to commit robbery using a vehicle belonging to Commissioner Assistant Wonder Tembo.

Makoni is currently facing attempted murder charges and is set to appear for a bail hearing today at the Murehwa Regional Court.

“Mazorodze is being threatened and forced to testify to things that are not true. He has been receiving numerous calls from senior officers, whom I cannot name, putting him under immense pressure,” a close source from the Juru Police Station told our reporter.

The source also revealed that Detective Inspector Lunga has now been instructed to testify in the matter, which has a strong connection to the issues Makoni is facing at his mining operation.

The developments come after a recent video went viral of Makoni complaining about his unlawful arrest. In the video, Makoni claimed he was the victim of an attempted robbery while using Commissioner Tembo’s vehicle.

“We are very shocked that Mazorodze, the investigating officer, tried to take his own life over the Makoni case,” the source added.

The high-stakes case has drawn significant attention, with the attempted suicide of the investigating officer further highlighting the intensity of the pressure surrounding the matter.

Tsvangirai Exposes New Dispensation Blue Lies

Bogus Cops Torment Forex Dealer

Chiwenga Sympathisers Threaten Wicknell Chivayo…

Chivayo Tears Apart Zanu PF

Kapini Prays For Warriors Win Against Bafana Bafana

Former Warriors captain Tapuwa Kapini has named South Africa’s biggest threat ahead of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group C encounter against Zimbabwe.

The game will take place at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Kick-off is at 6 pm CAT.

According to Kapini, Bafana Bafana’s captain and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams is the most dangerous player in the team.

The former Warriors goalie explained on X, saying: “I don’t know where to start about tomorrow’s game – South Africa vs Zimbabwe.

“But I think the most dangerous player for SA is Ronwen Williams because of his passing ability to start every move.

“I know people always give credit to the one who give the final assist without looking who started the move.”

Kapini added: “If you can watch all of South Africa and Mamelodi Sundowns games, Ronwen is well involved.

“So for me to stop it, Zimbabwe need to go behind the ball and let him start the play with his center backs then we can choose which side to press.”

Zim Is A Mess : Ostallos Siziba

By A Correspondent

Citizens spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba has boldly declared Zimbabwe is a mess due bad governance, corruption and rampant looting of State resources.

Siziba stated in a statement yesterday:

“The rampant corruption, lack of accountability, and disregard for the rule of law by the government have brought Zimbabwe to its knees.

Our people are suffering, struggling to make ends meet while those in power continue to enrich themselves at the expense of the nation.”

Siziba, as the citizens’ spokesperson, has been at the forefront of advocating for change in Zimbabwe.

He has been vocal in calling out the government for its failures and demanding accountability from those in power.

“The current leadership has failed the people of Zimbabwe,” Siziba said.

“They have not only failed to address the economic crisis facing the country but have actually contributed to worsening it through their corrupt practices and mismanagement of resources.”

The citizens’ spokesperson highlighted the deteriorating state of public services in Zimbabwe, from healthcare to education, as a result of the government’s neglect and incompetence.

“Our hospitals lack essential medicines and equipment, our schools are overcrowded and under-resourced,” Siziba stated.

“The government has not invested in the well-being of its people, and this has had devastating consequences on the quality of life for ordinary Zimbabweans.”

Siziba also pointed out the crackdown on dissent and opposition voices in Zimbabwe, with human rights abuses and political repression becoming a common occurrence.

“The government is using intimidation and violence to silence any form of dissent,” Siziba noted.

“This has created a culture of fear and mistrust among the population, leading to a further erosion of democracy and basic freedoms in our country.”

Despite the challenges facing Zimbabwe, Siziba remains optimistic about the potential for change.

“We cannot continue to accept this state of affairs. We must hold our leaders accountable and demand transparency and good governance,” Siziba emphasized.

“Only through active citizen participation and solidarity can we hope to bring about a better future for Zimbabwe.”

As the citizens’ spokesperson continues to advocate for change, his message resonates with many Zimbabweans who are tired of living in a country that is in such turmoil.

“Zimbabwe is a mess, but it doesn’t have to stay that way,” Siziba concluded.

“We have the power to make a difference and create a better future for ourselves and our children. It’s time for change, and it’s time for us to stand up and demand it.”

Taramba Kutongwa Nebenzi: Truthful Tuesday

TRUTHFUL TUESDAY

By Dr Raymond Chamba | When you have a joke of government leadership one can’t expect anything less than excoriating laser focused attention on the wheels that have fallen off. It’s quite unfair to unreasonable to expect any informed citizen to have any traditional modicum of respect towards high political office bearers who think nothing of everyone.

We are living in a political drug den and by all means necessary refuse to be willing adherents to shenanigans of this crack house and economic outhouse. Never in our post independence history have a more indifferent, distant and disdainful lot of hard core criminals ascended into the highest levels of administrative responsibility. Here is a group that makes no effort to hide their malfeasance, instead they gloat and glow in it daring all to do something about it.

Adults in the national leadership wheel house must quickly put a stop to the this freakish shitshow of the once great sovereign Republic before irrepressible cataclysm sets in. The degree of profligate and gluttonous gouging on the national cake shall inform on the vicious fight back to reclaim national pride and dignity. Don’t waste any legal resources on these. Pondai vanhu ava semauraire avaita nyika.

Star gazers and political game theorists can be forgiven for thinking that national tragedies are coming by alphabetical order. “Jah Jah how long… maybe for long but not forever…” the rhyming refrain of an old song goes. The time for resolute “concommitant action” is nigh…

Martin Luther King Jr famously wrote that “…the arc of the moral universe is long gut it bends towards justice”. We pray and trust in the just in time political karmatic comeuppance for the serial pillagers in our midst who for too long have been proverbially urinating on us and brazenly encouraging us to think that it’s raining.

The traditional fervent supporters of ZANU (PF) for which iam one, need to extricate the glorious revolution from the rapacious jaws of this mortley crew of rampaging crooks in our midst. Not I the name of the revolution, the sacrifice of our heroes and heroines should we have latter-day northern kingdom imposters sound garrulous and vacuous as they make mince meat of whatever is left of fire-sold national treasure.

The great Chimurenga musical maestro Thomas Mapfumo famously sang “…nyoka musango”, but this snake is in the house. We may need to raze the little grain house to the ground and prepare for the next rains and harvest. The need for national salvation and renewal should knead at the bleeding heart of every patriot. The time for fellating old political egos is gone. It’s time to bring out and sharpen the muskets for a battle royal in service of what’s left of our national treasure, pride and dignity.

Plane Wreckage Found, Malawi VP, 9 Others Dead

By A Correspondent| The search and rescue operation for the missing plane carrying Malawi Vice President Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima and nine other occupants has ended in tragedy after all of its occupants were found dead.

According to pictures circulating on social media, the plane wreckage was found but with no signs of life for all the 10 people who were in the plane.

Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has since made an address announcing the tragic news.

“The search and rescue operation I ordered to find the missing plane that carried our vice president and nine others has been completed. The plane has been found. And I am deeply saddened and sorry to inform you that it has turned out to be a terrible tragedy,” Chakwera said.

Malawi Updates Nation On Missing Plane Carrying Vice President

For Immediate Release

11th June 2024

Statement on the Missing Plane Carrying Vice President Dr. Chilima and Eight Other Passengers

The UTM is deeply concerned about the recent news regarding the missing plane carrying our president, who is also the vice president of this country , Dr. Saulos Chilima and his entourage. As a party, we appreciate the ongoing efforts to locate the plane, and rescue all Malawians who were on this flight, but we urge for intensified and concerted efforts not only from Government but also all well wishers that have put their feet on this ground for this National cause.

As much as we appreciate the efforts being made, we are at the same time disappointed with the time and intensity of the search. Between knowing that the plane carrying the Vice President of Malawi is not being tracked which was around 10am after the last communication with the Mzuzu Tower, a search only started in ernest after 3pm.

This is a worrying situation. On our count, we had 12 MDF personnel in the search operation when it was being called off late last night, this too is a serious worry for us. Thirdly, the fact that the aircraft carrying the vice president did not have a responder, a gadget use to trace and track aircraft is to us a big worry. We hope answers will be provided to Malawians by the right authorities.

As a Party we have proceeded to engage different experts to help us trace, locate and rescue all Malawians including the Vice President that was on this flight.

We have not had any communication from Government to us as UTM Political party with regards this issue and we hope going forward, we will not be hearing news from the public domains as Government has direct access to us.

We call upon All Malawians, Our Diplomatic partners and members of the Clergy to render any assistance they might be able to do so in helping us at this most difficult time. Our search has been increased to areas in as far as Nyika, Dwambazi and Mchinji as we intend to leave no stone unturned. Additionally, we ask UTM supporters and supporters of other parties across the country to join in the efforts to find the missing plane.

While we are greatly concerned, we remain hopeful that the President, who is also the Vice President of the country , along with his entourage, are safe. We ask those providing information to be sensitive and truthful, recognizing the many people anxiously awaiting updates.

We are grateful for the efforts being made by various agents and believe that the search can always be enhanced. Therefore, we request all involved parties to redouble their efforts. We also appeal to foreign governments and international organizations to join and assist in the search efforts.

To our supporters and all Malawians, we urge you to stay calm and continue to pray for the safety of the vice president and his entourage.

We appreciate your support and cooperation during this difficult time

Govt Spokesperson Issue Subtle Warning To “Icarus” Wicknell Chivhayo Against Flying Too Close To The Sun

By A Correspondent| Government spokesperson Nick Mangwana has posted a subtle dig at controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo for abusing his privilege of being close to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Posting on Twitter, Mangwana said Chivhayo’s failure to rein in his excitement at being too close to Mnangagwa was going to be his downfall.

He added that like Icarus who was warned against flying too close to the sun, Chivhayo was forgetting that his wings were made from wax which would melt.

Chivhayo’s recently leaked audio has irked many Zimbabweans as it revealed intricate details of how the ex-convict has abused his proximity to Mnangagwa to get lucrative government tenders.

Chivhayo bragged that he had the President under his control.

ZNA Soldier Touching Married Women’s Backside Saying He’s Allowed Cause He’s A Gunner

By Farai D Hove | Norton, Zimbabwe– A Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) officer has sparked outrage and fear in the town of Norton, with numerous allegations of inappropriate conduct and physical assaults on women and children. The officer, identified as Norest Shirikadzi, has reportedly been abusing his position and terrorizing the local community.

In a heart-wrenching interview cited by Zimbolive, a local woman is quoted saying the persistent harassment that residents have been facing. “We have a problem in our neighborhood that has been happening for a long time,” she said. “Norest Shirikadzi, a soldier, abuses women when he is drunk. When he is not drunk, he is okay, but once he gets drunk, he starts attacking women. We are now getting used to staying indoors in fear because he touches women anywhere he wants. The other time, he assaulted an elderly woman. He entered her property and assaulted her. When asked why he was doing this, he said, ‘I am a gunner. There is nothing you can do to me.'”

Despite attempts to seek justice, the complainant noted that local police have been unhelpful, allegedly stating that Shirikadzi can only be prosecuted by the military. “The matter just disappeared just like that,” she continued. “Soon after that, he told us that tomorrow a big truck of soldiers is going to come after you because you have offended soldiers. We spent the whole week in fear because of this man’s threats.”

The violence escalated when Shirikadzi assaulted a child who had reported to a neighbor that the soldier had inappropriately touched his wife. “The soldier went to the child and assaulted him with a metal rod, causing injuries that required stitches. This happened on the 5th of May, and up to this date, no one has been arrested,” the woman recounted.

Just days ago, Shirikadzi reportedly targeted a group of women, including a pregnant woman, while they were at home. When the pregnant woman protested, he allegedly began assaulting her, kicking her with his boots. Despite multiple reports to the police, no action has been taken against Shirikadzi.

“This man abuses the whole neighborhood,” the woman pleaded. “He touches women inappropriately and then announces that he is a gunner. We are troubled, we are troubled. We have suffered.”

The Norton community remains in fear and is calling for urgent intervention to address the soldier’s actions and ensure their safety. Local authorities and the military have yet to respond to the allegations publicly.

Loveness Madziva also made the top 15 in the ladies category, completing the run in just 6 hours 34 minutes and 27 seconds, while ZBC Cameraperson Nyasha Marira completed her race in 9 hours 57 minutes 54 seconds.

Search Intensifies for Missing Plane Carrying Malawi’s VP

By A Correspondent | Soldiers are combing through the hills and forests near Mzuzu in northern Malawi as the search continues for a military plane carrying the nation’s Vice President, Saulos Chilima, that went missing Monday. President Lazarus Chakwera announced the intensified search efforts in a live broadcast on state TV channel MBC.

Chilima and wife…

The plane, carrying Vice President Chilima, 51, and nine others, took off from Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe, at 9:17 a.m. and was scheduled to land at Mzuzu International Airport 45 minutes later. However, due to inclement weather and poor visibility, air traffic control instructed the plane to return to Lilongwe. It disappeared from radar shortly afterward.

“I know this is a heartbreaking situation. I know we are all frightened and concerned. I too am concerned,” President Chakwera said. “But I want to assure you that I am sparing no available resource to find that plane. And I am holding onto every fiber of hope that we will find survivors.”

Mzuzu, the third largest city in Malawi and the capital of the northern region, is situated in a hilly, forested area dominated by the Viphya mountain range, known for its extensive pine plantations.

The president pledged that search operations would persist through the night. “I have given strict orders that the operation should continue until the plane is found,” Chakwera asserted.

International assistance has been offered by the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Israel to aid in the search effort.

Vice President Chilima has been in office since 2020. He previously ran as a candidate in the 2019 Malawian presidential election, finishing third. That election was controversially annulled by Malawi’s Constitutional Court due to irregularities, leading to a historic election rerun in 2020 where Chakwera emerged victorious, unseating the incumbent president.

Chilima has faced legal challenges, including corruption charges for allegedly receiving bribes to influence government contracts. These charges were dropped last month, sparking criticism over the administration’s commitment to fighting corruption. Despite his arrest in late 2022 and several court appearances, Chilima has denied all allegations.

As the nation holds its breath, the search for the missing plane and its passengers continues with unwavering determination.- Agencies

Mnangagwa Praises Falling ZiG

By A Correspondent

In a bid to address growing skepticism surrounding Zimbabwe’s freshly introduced Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency, Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa stepped forward to defend it in a recent statement issued by the ruling party, Zanu PF.

The Zanu PF President reassured the nation that ZiG is not just stable but also firmly backed by ample gold reserves, emphasizing trust in the currency’s robustness and its potential to drive economic growth.

According to the statement released over the weekend, Mnangagwa asserted, “ZiG Currency is Solid and Backed by Ample Gold Reserves.”

This declaration aimed to dispel doubts and restore faith in the country’s economic strategies under the new currency regime.

Mnangagwa’s remarks come as a response to increasing scrutiny and concerns over the viability and sustainability of ZiG since its inception on April 5.

Mnangagwa highlighted the significance of this milestone, emphasizing how the currency’s implementation has been pivotal in fostering confidence among both the local populace and international stakeholders regarding Zimbabwe’s economic future.

In his defense of the ZiG currency, Mnangagwa underlined that extensive research conducted by the government had substantiated the currency’s reliability and its promising prospects for economic growth.

The assurance of substantial gold reserves serving as a solid foundation for the currency implies a strategic move to cement ZiG’s position as a credible alternative to previously volatile monetary systems.

In response to criticisms regarding the sustainability of ZiG, Mnangagwa reiterated, “Developed over two years, ZiG has achieved public acceptance, ensuring exchange rate and price stability.”

This assertion not only reflects the President’s faith in Zimbabwe’s economic agenda but also signals a commitment to maintaining the newfound stability within the financial sector, critical for the country’s overall progress and development.

The government’s steadfast defense of the ZiG currency underscores a broader push to reshape Zimbabwe’s economic landscape, steering it towards a path of sustainability and growth.

President Mnangagwa’s unwavering stance on the reliability and robustness of ZiG serves as a rallying call to both national and international stakeholders, urging them to embrace and support Zimbabwe’s currency reforms.

Do You Think Wicknell Has Sedated President Mnangagwa As He Boasts To Have Done?

https://x.com/ZimEye/status/1800274625646952631?t=SxMhGLBGVvJIyrA4wEtSNw&s=19

For the first time in 9 years, the convicted fraudster, and Edgar Lungu associate, Wicknell Chivayo who has been travelling around Zimbabwe plus in other African countries weakening various state institutions using millions of tender business money to bribe officials, is this week exposed in a 64 page document leak plus this (below) audio of him pleading with two partners, who are demanding their share of the millions he has been bribing celebrities with.

The latest leak, which is the most explosive since his USD5million payout for the defunct Gwanda Solar Project in 2015, involves a USD40 million payout he obtained from an elections-materials tender that was for Scott Sakupwanya’s Better Brands Security company.

The 2023 election voting was delayed and severely compromised because Chivayo (seen in video flying private jets alone with the UK convicted cheque fraudster, Joseph Mhaka) did not print enough ballot papers, which thing caused many to fail to cast their ballots.

In the audio, in which the man clearly instructs that the two must go around taking over government ministry tenders and rob the state using advance-payment-quick-cash, Chivayo is also pleading with Mike Chimombe, and Moses Mpofu who say the disbursed expensive cars (from the 2023 election money) are theirs and they want them now. (Last month, they wrote to him slapping him with a 7 day ultimatum.

The 2023 elections material money which was inflated by Chivayo from USD8 million to USD40 million, is part of the USD240 million the GoldMafia implicated ambassador Prophet Uebert Angel announced to undercover Al Jazeera Investigative Unit journalists, saying President Emmerson Mnangagwa has, and of which Zambia’s former Foreign Affairs minister, Harry Kalaba participated in covering up using Zambia state coat of arms insignia on 4 April 2023, before being physically caught in the act while receiving two fake golden IPhone 15 handsets by Al Jazeera investigative researcher Simba Chikanza on LIVE camera (Facebook Live) in full view of Zimbabwean voters on election day.

Chivayo says he has captured President Mnangagwa such that he cannot breathe without him.

Today, Uebert Angel associate, and wealth-boasting Chivayo, is telephoned by Simba Chikanza over the latest disclosures that he is heard on audio asking Chimombe and Mpofu to keep quiet about and to be content with non existent future promisories of piecemeal disbursements of ever-changing monetary figures: at one time in a leaked 4min audio message, Chivayo promises his partners USD10million, before shifting to USD100,000, and down to USD50,000, as appeasement money for failing to pay up the obligatory shares he needs to make up with the two.

Chivayo appears to patronise the two to the point of boasting that he recently purchased two clock watches for R2million so the two should not worry about school fees money they are complaining over.

Chivayo’s tone is authoritarian, instructive and rapid, such that he issues over 40 action-orders in a short 4min 23sec duration, which ZimEye reproduces as follows:

  1. Sometimes I ignore because once I say good morning members, you are now rushing to hold a meeting and expect money from me, Mpofu is now wishing to possibly receive money like USD2million. USD3million!
  2. I will be wanting these deals to give you like US$100,000; it keeps you going; how many times have I gotten you payments?
  3. These payments
-this week I am getting another one which is US$5.2 million and then we start on all the other projects.
  4. There is one for the Police and there is a new one for Immigration.
  5. The money is your pension you don’t need to be greedy to try and claim higher.
  6. What I said is bring new work [because] this state-entity I have captured it with my bare hands, like dzvii! Not an imagination.
  7. When he went to Italy, I was to the airport and he held my hands and said my son escorted me to the jets doors and I walked him over there once we got to the plane’s door after he had finished greeting the two vice president he returned to me and waved at me and said I will call you when I get to Italy my son.
  8. So I am telling you that I am right inside, and I’m telling you to take advantage of that.
  9. Don’t try and eat in what I have done myself or what caused us problems in the past, Eat it, my friend.
  10. How can you cry?
  11. You’re saying you want school fees money?
  12. Yesterday I bought watches worth 2.2 million rands.
  13. I will send you the video right now, 2.2 million South African rands; But you cry about school fees.
  14. So now let me tell you my friend you fell out with your boss (murungu).
  15. But if the murungu has accepted us back, let’s get whatever is there to keep you going.
  16. Because what is difficult for us business people is running costs: you want to go there where you leave US$2000.
  17. Your small house is troubling you, and you leave US$1000.
  18. At home today is the 1st of the month, your wife is troubling you, the bills have piled up and you leave US$5000 and say here is the money.
  19. The school fees let’s say it is US$10,000 or US$20,000. It is nothing!, pay, pay, pay: You are finished.
  20. Your truck business, Mpofu, maybe things are not working well but then pops up this passive income that keeps you going.
  21. That’s what I thought.
  22. I said fine let me reconnect with these guys.
  24. It is the one that has won the contract.
  25. Whom!, advance payment: and we are all of a sudden now starting to function.
  26. And by the way, our technique is that of advance payments, we are trusted are you forgetting, that we are the boss’ children? Do you see now?
  27. So I need a team like that.
  28. Yes, I’ve got my own projects.
  29. I have so many projects that I am chasing, but, I need a team like you that we can share ideas together, to say this we are hitting it this way and then then that one we are hitting it that way;
  30. Yes, it is my project alone but the payments you will get them, when you have your people over there, I will give you money for some drinks, oh no guys here is US$50,000 take it for now;
  31. Oh no here is US$100,000, we want to go for holiday to go to South Africa and then we say we go there next week;
  32. I even told Victor my boys I am now agreeing with them, they even came here angry saying “we want our cars back!,” they said.
  33. They even came and they were angry while with Mike [Chimombe], and said talk to your boss (your murungu), Talk to your boss talk to your boss!
  34. But then now I lose all strength and say these people oh God, you know I did not want to walk away from them, without creating their US$10 million, for each person.
  35. And now look at them and understand that the levels have shifted from [or since] election time I am now 10 times higher than I was then if not [20 times].
  36. So the levels have shifted so you have been left behind if only you had traveled with me, step-by-step we would be here all of us so you have to give it time, then isn’t it?
  37. Be patient then;
  38. Let us wait for another three months let us get closer what has been given as it is okay let us keep quiet.
  39. Keep silent while we wait for another job, hovering around for another government ministry project.
  40. I just thought let me say good morning it is food for thought, there is no one I am insulting, have a good day.

Zambia Confronts Mnangagwa Over Selling-out Allegations

By Political Reporter- The government of Zambia has said that it will engage Harare over President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s selling-out allegations he levelled against Lusaka.

Mnangagwa was captured in a video telling Russian leader Vladmir Putin in St Petersburg on the sidelines of an investment summit saying that Zambia was now a threat to the region because of its relations with the West.

Mnangagwa was seeking assistance from Russia to revive its two-decade-long economic woes worsened by isolation from Britain, America and their Western allies.

Zambia, under the Hakainde Hichilema administration, is enjoying good relations with these countries, which dumped Zimbabwe at the turn of the millennium after the late President Robert Mugabe chased away former white commercial farmers from their farms without compensation.

Zambian Information and Media Minister Cornelius Mweetwa is quoted by a private daily newspaper Sunday saying the country’s Foreign Affairs ministry was engaging authorities in Harare.
“Zambia and Zimbabwe enjoy cordial relations, we are one people. On that video, we do not want to make a quick response but our Foreign Affairs ministry is engaging the government of Zimbabwe over the issue,” he said.
“l also want to highlight that these matters are not for media consumption, that is my comment at the moment.”

In the video, Mnangagwa was quoted telling Putin that the West ditched Zimbabwe in favour of Zambia.

“And in that process, the West will run away. You see, the West has just begun consolidating its power in Zambia, our neighbour.
“You know, there was a time when Zambia and Zimbabwe were one; it was called Northern and Southern Rhodesia. It was made one by the British, but they are now separate.
“And the Americans are consolidating their power in that country, both in terms of security and in terms of financial support to Zambia to make sure that we feel lonely.”

Wicknell: “Chinhu Ichi ‘Mnangagwa’ Ndakachibata Kuti Dzvii!” – I Have Captured President That He Can’t Breathe Without Me

  29. I have so many projects that I am chasing, but, I need a team like you that we can share ideas together, to say this we are hitting it this way and then then that one we are hitting it that way;
  30. Yes, it is my project alone but the payments you will get them, when you have your people over there, I will give you money for some drinks, oh no guys here is US$50,000 take it for now;
  31. Oh no here is US$100,000, we want to go for holiday to go to South Africa and then we say we go there next week;
  37. Be patient then;
  38. Let us wait for another three months let us get closer what has been given as it is okay let us keep quiet.
  39. Keep silent while we wait for another job, hovering around for another government ministry project.
  40. I just thought let me say good morning it is food for thought, there is no one I am insulting, have a good day.

Ancelotti Snubs FIFA Club World Cup

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that his club will reject an invitation to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The competition is set to be expanded to 32 teams and will be played across four weeks in the USA between June and July following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.

Madrid qualified by winning the Champions League title in 2022 and 2024.

But Ancelotti has said the La Liga giants will refuse to participate in the Club’s World Cup that will take place in the USA next year.

“FIFA can forget about it,” the Italian gaffer told Il Giornale on Monday.

“The club and the footballers won’t participate in that tournament. One Real Madrid game is worth €20 million, and FIFA wants to give us that sum for the entire tournament. No way. Like us, other clubs will refuse the invitation.”

The expanded Club World Cup has also come under heavy criticism from players and FIFPro.

The player’s union says that the tournament threatens the health of the players and the quality of the product, as demands on their bodies mount.

Zuma Gives Ramaphosa Headache

South Africa- Former President Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has interdicted its elected members from attending the first sitting of Parliament.

MK got 15% of last Wednesday’s vote and became the third biggest party after African National Congress (ANC) and the Democratic Alliance ( DA).

In a statement issued on Sunday, the party said it  has instructed its lawyers to file papers in the Constitutional Court to prevent the swearing-in of National Assembly members.

The MKP says the swearing-in of National Assembly members should only go ahead once irregularities regarding the recent general elections are resolved. Reads the statement:

On Friday, June 7, 2024, the MK Party’s legal representatives issued a formal demand to the Chief Justice and the Secretary to Parliament, the authorities responsible for arranging the inaugural session of the National Assembly within 14 days following the election results announcement.

We argue that unresolved objections and the veracity of the substance by MK Party and other political parties who represent the will of the people, render this “market-based” declaration, and consequently the sitting and all its activities unconstitutional.

Furthermore, and in defence of our people’s constitutional rights, the MK Party will file papers with the constitutional court to interdict the swearing-in of party-nominated candidates as members of the National Assembly until our grievances, which are premised on allegations of election fraud and rigging, are thoroughly addressed by the courts.

Legally, the absence of MK Party members will prevent achieving the composition of the 350 members required to lawfully constitute the National Assembly, further invalidating the session which aims to appoint a President and therefore the government of the country.

Despite our legally sound and legitimate objections as submitted in line with section 55 to the IEC, the Parliament’s response disregarded our request by spearheading an agenda to proceed regardless of such concerns which are serious in their nature.

In response, we have directed our attorneys to urgently seek an interdict from the Constitutional Court to postpone the session while these critical legal issues and questionable election results which point to grossly serious grievances of possible election fraud and rigging are addressed.

In lieu of Parliament’s posture, we are compelled to express grave concerns about the Secretary of Parliament, but most crucially the Chief Justice for their premature statement or judgements regarding issues related to the matter at hand, knowing that the matter may end up in court.

It is our concern that these types of prejudicial statements and pronouncements could compromise the impartiality required when this matter ends up in court as it will.

Sadly, such conduct, which continues unabated, especially by the Chief Justice, further undermines public confidence in essential state institutions, including Parliament and the judiciary as a whole.

The MK Party and other political parties remain committed through peaceful and constitutional means to safeguard the political integrity and the will of the people by ensuring that every citizen’s vote is accounted for so that the outcome of the National Assembly representation is the will of the people in the true organic sense.

Hence it remains our strong resolve that allowing the National Assembly to sit amidst such significant doubts on the legal validity of the election process would be a betrayal of the electorate’s trust, who expect their votes to be honoured and reflected accurately in governmental proceedings.

MK Party and other concerned political parties, including their members, will continue to exercise their peaceful democratic right in seeking to ensure that the election results are free and fair.

We remain confident and resolute in ensuring that the re-run of elections will take place within 3 months as per section 49(3) of the constitution, once the sham of the election results have been set aside by the court.

Mnangagwa Under Pressure To Step Down As Political Turmoil Rises

By A Correspondent

The political turmoil in Zimbabwe shows no signs of abating under the leadership of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Mnangagwa took over the presidency in 2017 after the ousting of long-time ruler Robert Mugabe, promising a new era of democracy and prosperity for the struggling nation.

However, his administration has been marred by corruption, human rights abuses, and economic mismanagement.

One of the most pressing issues facing Zimbabwe under Mnangagwa’s regime is the continued crackdown on political dissent.

Opposition leaders, activists, and journalists have been arrested, detained, and even tortured for speaking out against the government.

The recent arrest of journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, for example, has sparked outrage both domestically and internationally, with many accusing the government of silencing dissenting voices.

In addition to the suppression of political opposition, Zimbabwe is facing a severe economic crisis.

Hyperinflation, high unemployment rates, and a lack of basic services have left many Zimbabweans struggling to make ends meet.

Mnangagwa’s administration has failed to implement meaningful economic reforms or tackle corruption, exacerbating the country’s already dire situation.

The international community has also voiced concerns over the ongoing political turmoil in Zimbabwe.

The United States and the European Union have imposed targeted sanctions on high-ranking officials in the Mnangagwa regime, citing human rights abuses and undermining democracy.

Calls for Mnangagwa to step down and allow for free and fair elections have grown louder in recent months.

Despite pressure from both within and outside the country, Mnangagwa has shown no signs of stepping down or implementing significant reforms.

The future of Zimbabwe remains uncertain as the country continues to be mired in political turmoil and economic hardship under his leadership.

As the people of Zimbabwe continue to suffer under the Mnangagwa regime, it is clear that urgent action is needed to address the country’s deep-rooted issues.

The international community must continue to pressure the government to respect human rights and uphold democracy.

Only then can Zimbabwe hope to move towards a more stable and prosperous future.

Mnangagwa Regime Totally Neglects Norton Hospital

Dethrone Mnangagwa, Former Mugabe Spokesperson Tells Military

By A Correspondent| Late former President Robert Mugabe’s spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire has called on the army to stage another coup against President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

This follows a widely circulated audio recording of controversial businessman and ex-convict Wicknell Chivhayo boasting that he now has grip over the government through Mnangagwa.

Posting on Twitter, Mawarire said in November 2017, the military staged a coup against Mugabe claiming to be targeting criminals around him, an almost similar situation now as Chivhayo seems to have self-confessed to capturing the state.

“If the Zimbabwe National Army did a coup to deal with perceived “criminals around the President” (Mugabe), isn’t there now a prima facie case for them to do another since this time, unlike during RGM’s time, the “criminals around the president” are self-confessing? Hanzi “ndakachibata kuti dzvii”, what is that? Isn’t that state capture? Vakomana, batai munhu! Come on, roll the tanks, sandiwo masystem yacho here?,” said Mawarire.

In the circulating audio, Chivhayo is heard boasting that he now has unfettered access to Mnangagwa who when he was travelling to Italy spoke to him after all the protocols and promised to call him upon arrival.

Mnangagwa Defends ZiG Mari Amidst Scrutiny

Chiwenga, Mnangagwa Tension Deepens

By James Gwati- The tension between Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and his Boss, President Emmerson Mnangagwa Sunday deepened, after the former diverged from the customary protocol and opted to fly to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on the very day Mnangagwa returned from his diplomatic voyage through Russia and South Korea.

Conventionally, Vice Presidents would be present at the Robert Mugabe International Airport to greet the President upon his return before proceeding with their official duties.

However, Chiwenga’s decision to depart for Tajikistan concurrently with Mnangagwa’s homecoming has sparked speculation regarding underlying power dynamics within Zanu PF.

Some observers interpret Chiwenga’s swift departure as a manifestation of intensifying power struggles within the party, hinting at the emergence of a potential parallel administration led by the Vice President in opposition to Mnangagwa’s leadership.

Chiwenga’s ambitions to succeed Mnangagwa as President in 2028 are well-known, yet the current President has steadfastly expressed his reluctance to step down at the end of his term.

This ideological clash between the two figures only fueled the political fire.

The Vice President’s journey to attend the third Dushanbe Water Action Decade Conference, slated to commence Monday, offers a diplomatic pretext for his absence during Mnangagwa’s return.

Accompanied by his new wife, Miniyothabo Chiwenga, Chiwenga’s delegation also includes Deputy Minister of Agriculture Vangelis Haritatos and a contingent of senior government officials.

The timing and implications of Chiwenga’s diplomatic detour are sure to fuel further speculation and scrutiny as Zimbabwe’s political landscape continues to evolve.

Serial Chipinge Rapist Targets Elderly Women

Chipinge– The trial of 62-year-old Daniel Chauke, a suspected serial rapist and murderer, commenced today at the Chipinge Magistrates Court. Chauke faces six counts of rape and three counts of murder, with his heinous acts primarily targeting elderly women, instilling fear and terror within the community.

The chilling allegations against Chauke include the brutal rape of a 69-year-old woman on April 3, 2022. The victim was returning from her field when Chauke approached her, accusing her grandchildren of stealing his property. After striking her on the cheek, causing her to fall, he tied her hands and mouth before force-marching her into a nearby bushy area where he raped her.

Only a month later, on May 3, 2022, Chauke allegedly attacked a 60-year-old woman harvesting maize in her field. He accused her of stealing an animal trapped in his snare, then force-marched her into the bush where he committed the assault.

Chauke’s disturbing pattern of targeting vulnerable, older women did not stop there. He is also accused of raping a 46-year-old, a 71-year-old, a 23-year-old, and a 36-year-old between July 2022 and April of this year. Each incident followed a similar, terrifying modus operandi, where Chauke used accusations and physical violence to subdue his victims before sexually assaulting them.

In addition to these horrific crimes, Chauke is also facing three counts of murder, further deepening the gravity of the charges against him.

‘Heaven Visiting Madungwe Should Get A Job As A Gardener’

By A Correspondent| Controversial Zimbabwean woman based in Australia, Susan Mutami has reacted to a video of heavenly army commander Talent Madungwe’s video where he was begging for birthday gifts from citizens including President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Posting on Twitter, Mutami said Madungwe should get a job as a gardener so that he can work and feed his family.

Mutami mocked Madungwe saying giving him capital to start a business will not work as he has a problem of sneaking to heaven, in the process leaving the business unattended.

Mohadi In I Can’t Moment

By A Correspondent| Vice President Kembo Mohadi who was addressing a meeting in Harare recently

In a video making rounds on social media, Mohadi is seen making a speech in a very low tone, he continued to read until he reached a point where he could not continue to read while standing.

He is heard saying, “I can’t, I can’t…” said Mohadi while sitting down.

“He couldn’t stand and so they helped him to a chair. He spoke briefly after and after animated back stage discussions his presentation was cut short,” a witness said.

According to HSTV, journalists covering the event were later ordered to delete the footage of the incident.

Mohadi has had many health scares.

In October last year, he collapsed while addressing a Zanu PF by-election campaign launch for the Gutu West constituency.

Mohadi was delivering a lecture on the title ‘Liberation Movements and African Unity: Why Resilience Matters for Sustained Transformative Possibilities.’

He was conspicuously absent later when President Emmerson Mnangagwa aunched 17 schools in Chikomba constructed with assistance from the OPEC Fund for International Development.

LEAKED-Wicknell Chivayo Says Macheso, JP Expensive Cars Must Be Returned Now, Real Owners Are Demanding

Wicknell Donated Cars Face Seizure from Macheso, Jah Prayzah, et all
[transcribed by ZimEye].

The following is a leaked audio of convicted ZANU PF man Wicknell Chivayo revealing that the real owners of the cars he donated to various celebrities, have stormed his premises demanding the vehicles. FULL TEXT

1. Sometimes I ignore because once I say good morning members, you are now rushing to hold a meeting and expect money from me, Mpofu is now wishing to possibly receive money like USD2million. USD3million!
2. I will be wanting these deals to give you like US$100,000; it keeps you going how many times have I gotten you payments?
3. These payments this week I am getting another one which is US$5.2 million and then we start on all the other project.
29. I have so many projects that I am chasing, but, I need a team like you that we can share ideas together, to say this we are hitting it this way and then then that one we are hitting it that way;
30. Yes, it is my project alone but the payments you will get them, when you have your people over there, I will give you money for some drinks, oh no guys here is US$50,000 take it for now;
31. Oh no here is US$100,000, we want to go for holiday to go to South Africa and then we say we go there next week;
37. Be patient then;
38. Let us wait for another three months let us get closer what has been given as it is okay let us keep quiet.
39. Keep silent while we wait for another job, hovering around for another government ministry project.
40. I just thought let me say good morning it is food for thought, there is no one I am insulting, have a good day.

Tragic School Lunch: Eight Zvimba Pupils Hospitalized After Consuming Contaminated Meal

The Curious Case of Zvimba Kids Hospitalized After Consuming Home-Cooked Food

Friday Morning at Matoranhembe Primary School

By Dorrothy Moyo | It was a typical Friday morning at Matoranhembe Primary School in the quiet district of Zvimba. Children filled the classrooms with their laughter and chatter, eagerly awaiting the weekend. Among them was a young girl who, unlike her peers, had an unusual burden. Her mother had handed her two lunch boxes filled with rice and soup, along with strict instructions on how to share the meal with her friends.

-Lunchtime Turns Tragic

As the lunch bell rang, the girl opened the lunch boxes, revealing a hearty meal that she had been instructed to share. Unaware of the impending danger, she invited seven of her classmates to join her in the feast. The children, excited for a change from their usual lunches, eagerly gathered around and began to eat.

-The First Signs of Trouble

Within an hour, the cheerful atmosphere turned grim. The children started to experience severe stomach pains, nausea, and dizziness. Teachers, alarmed by the sudden illness, quickly called for medical assistance. The eight pupils, including the girl who brought the food, were rushed to the nearest hospital in critical condition.

-Investigations Begin

The incident prompted an immediate investigation by the local police. Commissioner Paul Nyathi spearheaded the efforts to uncover the cause of the sudden illness. “Investigations carried out by the police revealed that a fellow school pupil brought the lunch box which contained home-prepared food after being given two lunch boxes by her parent. The parent gave her instructions on how to share the food,” he stated.

-Examining the Source

Attention quickly turned to the lunch boxes and their contents. Forensic teams collected samples of the rice and soup for laboratory analysis, aiming to determine if food poisoning or contamination was responsible for the children’s illness. Meanwhile, police interviewed the girl’s parents to understand more about the preparation and storage of the food.

-Community in Shock
The news spread rapidly through the Zvimba community, leaving parents and residents in shock and fear. The school temporarily halted its operations, and parents rushed to the hospital to check on their children and seek assurances from the authorities.

-Hospital Update
Doctors at the hospital worked tirelessly to stabilize the affected children. By the evening, the hospital released a statement saying that all eight children were in stable condition and responding to treatment. The quick medical response was credited with preventing a potentially worse outcome.

-Preliminary Findings

Preliminary lab results indicated that the food might have been contaminated with a harmful bacterium, possibly due to improper handling or storage. This finding led to further scrutiny of the conditions in which the food prepared and stored at home.

The incident served as a grim reminder of the importance of food safety. Schools in the region began to implement stricter policies regarding the sharing of food, and local health authorities launched a campaign to educate the community about safe food preparation practices.

Chibaya Reaches Out To SADC

07/06/24

Citizens Organizer, Hon Amos Chibaya has said regional body, SADC has a case to answer against Zimbabweans. He said, “As Zimbabwean citizens, we demand answers from SADC as to what has changed to their SADC report. There is no legitimate government in Zimbabwe because of the disputed elections”.

Hon Chibaya was addressing multitudes of supporters of Advocate Nelson Chamisa who braved the cold and attended a Harare cluster meeting yesterday.

He urged Zimbabweans to ask for answers from SADC when the regional bloc comes to the country for a summit set for August.

Hon Chibaya added that ZANU PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa is a product of a fraudulent election that was discredited by SADC itself hence it defies logic for the same body to endorse him at the upcoming August summit.

Meanwhile, Hon Chibaya urged citizens to rally behind Advocate Nelson Chamisa saying he remains the only genuine President whom they elected in August 2023. He said citizens must remain principled and loyal to the democratic struggle.

RBZ Freezes 522 ‘Notorious Bank Accounts’ Except Chivayo’s

By Farai D Hove | The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has taken significant steps to curb illegal financial activities, as revealed in a recent State Media Sunday Mail report. The FIU has frozen over 522 bank accounts from January 1 to June 7, targeting traders manipulating exchange rates and accounts misused for illegal foreign currency trading. Financial Intelligence Unit director-general Mr. Oliver Chiperesa stated that the FIU’s routine transaction monitoring and analysis identified these problematic accounts. Patterns inconsistent with normal shopping behavior, particularly involving ZiG cards used by middlemen to facilitate illegal currency exchanges, were flagged.

Despite this comprehensive crackdown, it has been noted that Wicknell Chivayo’s accounts have not been frozen. This is particularly surprising given the presence of a 64-page document presented by senior ZANU PF members Mike Chimombe and Moses Mpofu, which details Chivayo’s alleged involvement in money laundering and demands the return of close to USD 40 million he allegedly looted. The exclusion of Chivayo’s accounts from the freeze raises questions about the consistency and thoroughness of the enforcement actions.

Jacob Zuma Trapped Inside Toilet: Torching Image

-Jacob Zuma: The Election Result-Disruptor and His Portrayal in Political Satire

Jacob Zuma, a former President of South Africa and a polarizing figure, continues to be a topic of intense debate and satire within the country’s political landscape. Recently, an image of Zuma struggling while staring at a toilet bowl has circulated online, accompanied by a humorous yet poignant caption: “Guys have you ever gone to a relative or a friend’s house, then asked to use their toilet, and while doing number 2 you ran out of tissue papers, or you flushed but ‘it refuses to go’? That’s the situation I’m in right now, what should I do? I’m still in the toilet, urgently waiting for your advice.” This satirical portrayal provides a vivid metaphor for Zuma’s current political and personal predicaments.

Zuma trapped … Viral image. Credit: social media

Jacob Zuma’s political journey has been marked by significant highs and lows. As a prominent leader of the African National Congress (ANC), he rose to become the President of South Africa from 2009 to 2018. His tenure was riddled with controversies, including numerous corruption allegations, leading to his resignation under intense pressure from his own party and the public. Despite this, Zuma remains a resilient and influential figure, often described as a disruptor within the South African political sphere.

The image in question utilizes humor and common human experience to depict a more profound political reality. The scenario of being stuck in a toilet with an unflushable mess serves as an allegory for Zuma’s situation. Here are the key elements and their symbolic meanings:

1. Struggling with the Toilet:
– Unflushable Mess: Represents the numerous unresolved legal and political issues Zuma faces. His ongoing corruption trials and the lingering controversies from his presidency are akin to a mess that refuses to be cleaned up, despite numerous attempts.
– Running Out of Tissue Paper: Symbolizes the diminishing support and resources available to Zuma. Just as running out of tissue paper in a crucial moment is a predicament, Zuma’s shrinking political allies and support base highlight his growing isolation.

2. The Caption:
– Asking for Advice: Zuma’s call for advice mirrors his frequent appeals for public and political support. This suggests his reliance on external help to navigate his crises, emphasizing his dependency and the precariousness of his position.
– Urgency: The urgency in the caption reflects the immediate and pressing nature of Zuma’s challenges. His legal battles and political skirmishes demand swift and effective solutions, much like the pressing need to resolve an embarrassing situation in a restroom.

Zuma’s rejection by the ANC for government positions is a significant development. This decision underscores a decisive move by the party to distance itself from the controversies surrounding him. Despite his efforts to maintain a foothold in politics, the ANC’s stance represents a critical barrier to his ambitions, further complicating his political comeback.

Public and media representations of Jacob Zuma often oscillate between disdain and sympathy. The satirical image reflects a broader societal sentiment: a blend of ridicule and an acknowledgment of his ongoing influence. It captures the exasperation of many South Africans with Zuma’s persistent presence in the political arena, yet it also humanizes him by portraying a relatable, albeit embarrassing, predicament.

The portrayal of Jacob Zuma in the satirical image as struggling with an unflushable toilet bowl serves as a potent metaphor for his current struggles. It encapsulates his political entanglements, the diminishing support, and the urgency of his situation. As Zuma continues to navigate his complex legacy, such representations will persist, offering both humor and critique of his enduring impact on South African politics.

Mnangagwa Exposes Self…

TRANSCRIPT: MNANGAGWA TALKING TO VLADMIR PUTIN

The beginning of Russia‒Zimbabwe talks in the restricted format

PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA VLADIMIR PUTIN:

Mr President,

I am delighted to welcome you to Russia.

Our previous meeting also took place here in St Petersburg, at the RUSSIA‒AFRICA SUMMIT, and we truly appreciate your personal involvement in developing our interstate ties.

Russia‒Zimbabwe relations were established a long time ago when your nation was struggling for independence, and they continue to advance extensively. I was pleased to note that our MUTUAL TRADE increased severalfold over the past year. However, it is clear that we still have much work to do in diversifying our ties.

We have very good relations in the humanitarian and educational sectors. Currently, 400 YOUNG PEOPLE from your country are studying in Russia, and we increase this quota on a regular basis.

I appreciate your involvement in our joint persistent efforts in the international arena. Our stances on the core issues on the international agenda are quite similar and even coinciding.

I am glad to have this opportunity to meet with you on the sidelines of the St PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM. I am confident that your presence here will serve as a testimony to the African continent’s interest in developing relations with Russia, which is among our priorities.

We have agreed to make efforts to enhance our cooperation, and have also created new interaction formats, such as meetings and consultations between our foreign ministers. We hope that your representative will attend such a meeting that will take place in Sochi this autumn.

Welcome, Mr President.

PRESIDENT OF ZIMBABWE EMMERSON Dambudzo MNANGAGWA:

Thank you very much, Your Excellency President Putin.

May I, on behalf of the people of Zimbabwe, the government, and indeed on my own behalf, extend my warmest regards to you. I am so happy that you were able to invite me to come here to meet you. This is an opportunity, Your Excellency, that I have been looking forward to, because Zimbabwe and the Russian Federation have excellent relations, and it is critically important that we make them more comprehensive and share the challenges that we are facing.

Commonly, the challenges that you face are the same challenges that we face in Southern Africa, because we are one of the few countries in Southern Africa that is regarded as ANTI-WEST, and I feel so humbled that you have extended an invitation for me to come over here. This is an opportunity where we can share the challenges that we face both at the national level and at the international level, because we have relations with Western countries. But most importantly, it is an opportunity to consolidate them, to identify areas where we can pursue cooperation between our two countries and consolidate, and make them more comprehensive between ourselves. There is no need to shy away from each other. I think our pursuit in terms of international relations is the same.

We were disregarded as an isolated island in Southern Africa, but I am anxious that we develop comprehensive relations with the RUSSIAN FEDERATION, and I can assure you that I have that determination on my part. And much more so, you yourself, as the President, as well as the Russian Federation, have support in Zimbabwe. You see, we have received support, we received FOOD ALLOCATIONS from yourselves last year, and we have received cooperation in the MILITARY AND SECURITY SECTOR. That alone, as you continue to do so, we continuously become ISOLATED IN OUR REGION. But we are determined to be ourselves, we are determined to be independent.

We DON’T CARE WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES SAY about us, you know, under President Mugabe. And there was this Prime Minister in Britain, and the relations just ended there. And thereafter, most of the BRITISH AND AMERICANS, they have not looked upon us; they think that we are too inclined to the East. But we have no apologies at all.

We feel we have better relations with the people who also RESPECT US, not the persons who look down upon us. So we are very happy to be here. We are anxious to have more comprehensive and concentrated relations between ourselves. Yes, we are a VERY ADVANCED COUNTRY; but there is a lot that we can learn from you and there is a lot that will benefit from that relationship. And there is a lot that we can open for the Russian Federation to participate in our economy, especially in the MINING SECTOR AND AGRICULTURE. There is a lot that we can afford for you to participate.

And in that process, the WEST WILL RUN AWAY. You see, the West has just begun CONSOLIDATING ITS POWER IN ZAMBIA, our next neighbour. You know, there was a time when Zambia and Zimbabwe were one; it was called Northern and Southern Rhodesia. It was made one by the British, but they are now separate. And the Americans are consolidating their power in that country, both in terms of SECURITY and in terms of FINANCIAL SUPPORT to Zambia to make sure that we feel lonely. But that will not change us, because we have taken a course as a people that we feel we want to be independent and we will choose OUR FRIENDS ourselves. And besides, we are independent today because most of us in the LEADERSHIP TRAINED HERE during our war of liberation. We got our INDEPENDENCE because we are supported by yourselves here, and we don’t forget that history, and you don’t forget about us.

So, Mr President, I am happy to be here. If an opportunity avails later on – I mean, we will find time to chat and go into more detail as to which areas we must focus on in terms of supporting each other and in terms of where we feel we need external support, especially in the area of difference in SECURITY as well as FOOD SECURITY.

Those areas we need to be supported in – the MECHANISATION OF AGRICULTURE and so on. We cannot go to the West; we have to come here because the West would want to see us down. They support our neighbours, ZAMBIA AND MALAWI, very heavily. But in spite of that, Zimbabwe’s economic growth is the FASTEST GROWING ECONOMY in the region, in spite of us being isolated by the Americans.

So, Your Excellency, I am very happy to be here.

Chiwenga Snubs Mnangagwa

By James Gwati- Vice President Constantino Chiwenga on Sunday diverged from the customary protocol and opted to fly to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on the very day his superior, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, returned from his diplomatic voyage through Russia and South Korea.

LEAKED AUDIO: Wicknell Chivayo In Hot Soup Over Money Looted from BetterBrands

By A Correspondent | Harare, Zimbabwe – In a shocking revelation, a leaked audio recording has implicated controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo in a major scandal involving looted election funds from BetterBrands Security. The company, owned by Acott Sakupwaya and fronted by Mike Chimombe and Moses Mpofu, is at the center of the controversy.

The audio, verified by ZimEye on Sunday, captures Chivayo in a conversation with Sakupwaya and Chimombe, where he is heard attempting to appease the two businessmen by claiming he would have paid them USD 10 million each if they had not raised complaints. Chivayo also boasts of having direct access to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, asserting that his influence surpasses that of the President’s two deputies.

In the same clip, Chivayo outlines his plans to form a team aimed at securing ministry tenders, which he intends to exploit through advance payments. This statement hints at a broader scheme of financial misconduct within government tenders.

When contacted by Simba Chikanza on Sunday evening, Chivayo attempted to dismiss the audio as “fake news,” but he did not address a detailed 64-page document that outlines how he misappropriated over USD 40 million intended for election materials that were never his, but were for Scott Sakupwanya’s company.

A section of the 64 page bundle reads:
We urge you to consider the repercussions of your actions carefully. Your continued Involvement in these fraudulent activities will not only damage your reputation but also put your company at significant risk of legal repercussions. We are giving you 7 days to provide us with a workable solution so that we can recover the money owed to us. Failure to comply will force us to take necessary steps to bring this matter to the attention of all relevant authorities, including all news outlets.

We could have gone through our lawyers and sought relief from the court, but we prefer not to air our dirty laundry in public.

We hope to resolve this amicably.

Yours Faithfully,

Moses Mpofu

Mnangagwa Attacks Hichilema, Calls Him A Sell-Out

By Political Reporter- Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa has attacked the President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, and at the same time reported him to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, for his relations with the West.

Mnangagwa said Hichilema was getting military and financial aid and should be dealt with.

Mnangagwa, who assumes the SADC chairmanship this year, said Zambia is a Western puppet that Moscow must combat.

In a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at Konstantinosky Palace in the Petrodvorets district of St. Petersburg, Strelna village, two days ago, at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia, Mnangagwa said the United States of America is consolidating its power in Zambia to isolate Zimbabwe. He said:

You see, the West has just begun consolidating its power in Zambia, our next neighbour. You know, there was a time when Zambia and Zimbabwe were one; it was called Northern and Southern Rhodesia.

It was made by the British, but they are now separate.

We got our independence because we are supported by you here, and we don’t forget that history, and you don’t forget about us.

Mnangagwa’s remarks have sparked debate on social media as they expose Harare’s uneasiness over her neighbour’s choice of friends.

A Zambian diplomat based in Harare is cited by The NewsHawks saying:

That was reckless by President Mnangagwa. Zimbabwe and Zambia are neighbours with a close history as he said himself, dating back to the federation days.

Besides, he grew up in Zambia; to all intents and purposes he is also Zambian. So how can he talk toxic stuff like that as if he is an irresponsible opposition leader. Moreover, in a foreign country, in far-flung Russia.

This will unnecessarily stoke diplomatic tensions between Harare and Lusaka, given the dispute over the Zimbabwean elections last year and the coming SADC summit.

Meanwhile, presidential spokesperson George Charamba suggested that video footage of Mnangagwa’s meeting with Putin was leaked.

Responding to an X (formerly Twitter) user who had queried why Mnangagwa made the remarks about Zambia in public, suggesting that some in his inner circle “are deliberately setting him up”, Charamba said:

Why don’t you ask about the circumstances before jumping to condemnation? As you can see from the set-up, this was a closed meeting in which the President of Zimbabwe was a guest.

The recording was in-house to the host. Don’t ask me how it found its way into the public domain; I cannot assist you.

Indeed one-on-one meetings are moments of truths and impressions unadorned and said in confidence.

All Heads do that in such meetings, always with the attendant risks of such lapses. Nothing extraordinary.

In April last 2023, the US Africa Command (Africom) announced it was setting up an office in Zambia. Africom has bases across Africa.

Zambia and many other African countries are close to the US and other Western democracies, while some states like Zimbabwe and South Africa are allies of China and Russia which are under authoritarian governments.

Zimbabwe Warriors Face Daunting Task in World Cup Qualifiers Amid Political Turmoil

By A Correspondent

The recent performance of the Zimbabwe Warriors, who lost 2-0 to Lesotho at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, has brought to light several challenges faced by the team.

This World Cup Qualifier defeat on Friday underscores deeper issues, primarily stemming from the administration of Zanu PF leader Mr. Emmerson Mnangagwa.

One of the most significant hurdles for the Zimbabwean national team is the fact that they are playing their home matches in a foreign country.

This situation arose due to the inadequate facilities in Zimbabwe that fail to meet international standards.

The need to play in South Africa not only deprives the Warriors of home advantage but also imposes logistical and psychological burdens on the players and supporters alike.

The loss against Lesotho, a team considered much weaker in the footballing world, was a stark reminder of the consequences of these challenges. The choice of Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg for a home game symbolizes the extent of the infrastructural decay within Zimbabwe’s sports facilities.

Playing away from home denies the Warriors the enthusiastic support they would typically enjoy from local fans, which can be a crucial factor in match outcomes.

Furthermore, the defeat highlighted the lack of adequate preparation and resources.

Reports suggest that the Warriors’ preparations were hampered by insufficient funding, poor planning, and inadequate training facilities.

This lack of preparation was evident in their performance, as the team seemed disorganized and out of sync.

The administration of President Mnangagwa has faced widespread criticism for its handling of national affairs, and the state of sports is no exception.

Under his leadership, the nation has struggled with economic hardships, corruption, and mismanagement, all of which have trickled down to affect the sports sector.

The neglect of sporting infrastructure is symptomatic of broader governance issues that have plagued Zimbabwe for years.

Critics argue that the current administration’s failure to invest in and maintain sports facilities has left teams like the Zimbabwe Warriors at a severe disadvantage.

The poor state of local stadiums is just one aspect of a broader failure to support and develop sports talent in the country.

This neglect has forced national teams to seek alternatives abroad, diminishing their chances of success on the international stage.

The Zimbabwe Warriors’ recent loss to Lesotho is not just a sports story but a reflection of the broader socio-political and economic challenges facing Zimbabwe. The administration’s inability to provide adequate support and infrastructure for the national team is indicative of deeper systemic issues.

As the Warriors continue their quest for World Cup qualification, they do so under conditions that severely hinder their potential, raising questions about the future of Zimbabwean sports under the current leadership.

Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Dull Incompetence Exposed In Russia
