Zanu PF Women’s League Urges Mnangagwa to Extend Presidency

By A Correspondent

Emmerson Mnangagwa, the astute leader of Zimbabwe’s Zanu PF party, has strategically positioned himself to extend his tenure beyond 2028.

Over the weekend, the Zanu PF Women’s League publicly implored Mnangagwa to continue leading the country, signaling a calculated manoeuvre to consolidate his authority.

Mnangagwa addressed members of the Women’s League in Harare at the weekend.

According to sources within Zanu PF, the Women’s League’s appeal for Mnangagwa to stay in power beyond 2028 is perceived as a deliberate strategy to maintain political stability and continuity.

“The Women’s League is advocating for ED to remain in office beyond 2028,” disclosed a source from Zanu PF on Saturday.

Mnangagwa’s shrewd political tactics and the Women’s League’s endorsement underscore a concerted effort to secure his prolonged leadership, ensuring continuity in governance amidst Zimbabwe’s evolving socio-political landscape.

100 Zimbos Die In South Africa Every Week

By Political Reporter-The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has disclosed that at least 100 bodies are repatriated from South Africa to Zimbabwe each week through the Beitbridge Border Post.

This figure translates to approximately 400 bodies per month.

The revelation was made during a tour of the upgraded border post by journalists from Masvingo, Chiredzi, Zvishavane, and Beitbridge.

The tour followed a customs and excise training for journalists held at Flamboyant Hotel on June 10 and 11.

Port Health Officer Silibaziso Nkala addressed the journalists, noting that the causes of death varied, including chronic illnesses, accidents, gunshots, and knife stabbings.

“Here we clear the bodies of people who die in South Africa. We verify to ensure they are carrying bodies because people can resort to anything, including smuggling,” Nkala explained. “On average, we process around 100 deceased individuals passing through here weekly. The causes of death vary from chronic illnesses to accidents and violent incidents.”

Nkala expressed concerns about people attempting to smuggle goods along with their deceased relatives. “We also ensure that mourners do not mix dead bodies with other goods. Some try to smuggle items like fuel hidden in coffins and hearses. We usually catch them because we conduct thorough searches before allowing passage. We educate them on the dangers of smuggling goods and that they cannot pass without detection,” she said.

The port also processes the bodies of individuals entering South Africa from Zimbabwe, primarily truck drivers or their spouses who die in Zimbabwe or other countries and are transported to South Africa for burial.

Nkala noted that the facility operates 24/7, but most people prefer to cross on Fridays to bury their loved ones over the weekend.

Additionally, there are cases of children born in South Africa returning to Zimbabwe for the first time.

ZIMRA Beitbridge Regional Manager for Customs and Excise, Lonto Ndlovu, lamented the border’s porousness, which allows for significant smuggling activities since the border stretches for over 100 kilometers. “We cannot monitor all entry points, and people use illegal routes to smuggle goods in and out of the country,” Ndlovu said.

To combat this, ZIMRA has deployed drones capable of monitoring a 10-kilometer radius along the border.

Data from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) indicates that over a million Zimbabweans live in South Africa, many of whom entered the country illegally.

The high number of deaths has led to a rise in funeral insurance companies that specialize in transporting the deceased back to Zimbabwe.

Mnangagwa’s Alledged Girlfriend Cleared Of US$90 Million NSSA Fraud

By Crime and Court Reporter- Former Public Service Minister Prisca Mupfumira has been acquitted of the US$90 million National Social Security Authority (NSSA) fraud charges.

Mupfumira, who is also believed to be an intimate partner of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, was cleared following a full trial.

Mupfumira faced allegations of criminal abuse of office, accused of “corruptly” influencing a US$90 million property development deal between NSSA and Drawcard Enterprises.

However, Deputy Chief Magistrate Ngoni Nduna delivered a judgment on Saturday, acquitting her of all charges.

The allegations centered on claims that Mupfumira had handpicked Drawcard, a land development firm, without going to tender and pressured NSSA into entering an agreement with the company.

However, Nduna ruled that since Mupfumira never sat on the NSSA Board, she could not have been responsible for selecting Drawcard Enterprises.

In his ruling, Nduna stated, “Her cry that she may have been a mere victim is not far-fetched. The court comes to this conclusion because there is all the evidence, in black and white, that NSSA Board proceeded on its own resolution in the execution of the Mzenya Project, but the State persisted with her prosecution.”

The court found no evidence of meetings where Mupfumira was recorded forcing NSSA to engage Drawcard.

Additionally, Nduna noted that the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) provisions were superseded by a resolution from June 30, 2017, regarding the application on Offtake Housing Projects and the engagement of a developer.

He concluded, “The only conclusion to be arrived at is that NSSA did not go to tender because they resolved not to do so. The accused was not part of the deliberations where that resolution was arrived at.”

If PRAZ regulations had applied to the projects, it was the responsibility of NSSA’s legal advisors to inform the board.

Nduna highlighted that the legal service department at NSSA failed to properly advise the board, leading to the prosecution of Mupfumira based on the actions of others.

Represented by Admire Rubaya of Rubaya and Chatambudza Legal Practitioners, Mupfumira consistently denied the allegations, arguing that her prosecution was motivated by individuals opposed to her loyalty to President Mnangagwa during his tenure as vice president.

She maintained that the selection of Drawcard was the board’s responsibility, and the court agreed with her defense.

Mupfumira was jointly charged with NSSA director Barnabas Matongera, who was discharged at the close of the State’s case.

Mohadi In Health Scare

By Political Reporter- Vice President Kembo Mohadi Friday failed to finish his speech at an event held to donate laptops at Manama High School, Gwanda South, after he experienced a severe bout of coughing, forcing him to pause his speech and request water.

Throughout the event, he appeared pale and tired.

Despite his appearance, the 74-year-old Vice President dismissed rumours about his deteriorating health, asserting that he is fit but feeling the effects of old age.

“I am not sick, but I am getting old; that’s why I drink water a lot,” Mohadi stated. “Manama High School stands shoulder high to all other institutions in this country because it contributed immensely to the liberation struggle. It is very sentimental for us to be here, and it is equally depressing to see that some of the structures here need a lot of touch-up. I can’t…,” he said, trailing off.

Zanu PF Director of Information, Farai Marapira, expressed confidence in the health of the party’s leaders. “We are confident in all our leaders’ health. We are not worried about circulating rumors and are focused on the economy and our mandate to the people of Zimbabwe. We will not be moved by public opinion. This is being done by those who were elected but are not focused on their roles and want to tarnish our leaders. As Zanu PF, we remain focused on the economy,” he said.

An anonymous analyst, fearing reprisal, told The Mirror that Mohadi is ill but unlikely to resign due to his desire to maintain power and influence. “He will obviously not step down because that will be the end of his power and influence. He wants to hold on to his post in every way possible. He keeps a busy schedule when he should give his body ample time to recuperate and rest. What worries me the most is that youth are blindly following these ailing men and will rule when they are also old,” the analyst said.

Former CCC president Nelson Chamisa emphasized the importance of a culture of resting and retiring, rather than collapsing and dying in office.

Concerns about Mohadi’s health were heightened last October after he allegedly collapsed during the Gutu West parliamentary by-election launch, leading to security personnel forcing journalists to delete videos of the incident. Mohadi, who was campaigning for Zanu PF youth leader John Paradza, reportedly also collapsed at the University of Zimbabwe while delivering an Africa Day public lecture. He struggled to stand and had to complete the lecture seated.

The latest incident at Manama marks the third time Mohadi has publicly shown signs of ill health, leading to increasing scrutiny and debate about his condition.

President Mnangagwa Smashed Into A Blue Dam By 4 Trusted ZANU PF Sociallites

By Baba Jukwa | LYRICAL NEWS

The Curious Case of His Excellency: A Tale of Trust and Treachery

In a tale that seems to have leapt straight from the pages of a political thriller, His Excellency Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, President of Zimbabwe, finds himself ensnared in a web of deceit spun by a gang of four highly trusted socialites. This quartet, comprising the flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo, the astute strategist Sengezo Tshabangu, the controversial prophet Uebert Angel, and the vibrant social media personality Mai Titi, has been pushing the president into a precarious situation involving a metaphorical blue dam river known as DA.

Characters pushing ED into the river

The Intriguing Cast

Wicknell Chivayo: Known for his ostentatious lifestyle and shrewd business maneuvers, Chivayo has long been a figure of both admiration and suspicion. His vast network and financial influence make him a powerful ally and a formidable adversary.

Sengezu Tshabangu: The brains behind many political machinations, Tshabangu is a master of strategy. His ability to navigate complex political landscapes and orchestrate events behind the scenes is legendary.

Uebert Angel: The prophet whose sermons often blur the lines between spirituality and politics, Angel’s influence extends deep into the hearts and minds of many Zimbabweans. His enigmatic presence and persuasive oratory make him a key player in this convoluted plot.

Mai Titi: The queen of social media, Mai Titi’s charm and wit have garnered her a massive following. Her ability to sway public opinion through her platforms is unmatched, making her an invaluable asset to the gang.

The Devious Plot

The plot unfolds like a gripping cartoon graphic, with the four conspirators squeezed into a tiny car, hurtling towards the edges of the blue Limpopo River. Their goal: to metaphorically crash Mnangagwa into the depths of the DA, a murky expanse representing political oblivion.

In this vivid cartoon, each character plays their part to perfection. Chivayo, behind the wheel, drives with reckless abandon, symbolizing his brazen approach to business and politics. Tshabangu navigates with a map of convoluted schemes, his eyes gleaming with the thrill of the chase. Angel sits in the back, whispering prophecies that sow seeds of doubt and confusion. Meanwhile, Mai Titi leans out of the window, broadcasting live to her followers, narrating the unfolding drama with a mix of humor and urgency.

The Blue Dam River: DA

The DA, or “Dangerous Abyss,” is a perilous political landscape where many have lost their footing. It represents the culmination of backroom deals, broken trusts, and treacherous alliances. For Mnangagwa, being pushed into the DA means facing a political downfall orchestrated by those he once considered allies.

The Dramatic Conclusion

As the cartoon car nears the river’s edge, a dramatic twist ensues. Mnangagwa, ever the cunning tactician, unveils a plan of his own. Just as the car is about to plunge into the blue waters, he leaps out, leaving the gang to their watery fate. In a masterstroke of political acumen, he turns the tables, exposing their plot to the public and emerging stronger than before.

The Aftermath

The fallout from this high-stakes drama sends shockwaves through Zimbabwe’s political landscape. Chivayo, Tshabangu, Angel, and Mai Titi find themselves facing the consequences of their betrayal. Mnangagwa’s escape from the brink of disaster solidifies his position and reaffirms his reputation as a survivor in the ruthless world of politics.

Conclusion

This fantastical narrative, while rooted in imaginative fiction, echoes the real-world intrigues that often define political arenas. It serves as a reminder of the ever-present dangers of misplaced trust and the resilience required to navigate the treacherous waters of leadership. His Excellency Mnangagwa’s brush with the blue dam river DA is a testament to his enduring prowess and the unpredictable nature of political fortunes.

Mnangagwa Praises Women

Emmerson Mnangagwa, President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, underscored the pivotal role of the Women’s League within the ruling party during his address at the ZANU PF Women’s League National Assembly held at party headquarters in Harare.

Representatives from all ten provinces convened to review their performance and discuss key issues under the leadership’s guidance. President Mnangagwa highlighted the critical contribution of the Women’s League in fortifying the party’s foundation.

“To me, the Women’s League is the nerve centre of our party. You are the heart, liver, and blood in our body politic. Without women, the party cannot thrive. A political party becomes formidable when supported by women,” President Mnangagwa affirmed.

Acknowledging their pivotal role in the previous elections, President Mnangagwa commended the women for their efforts in mobilizing voters, which contributed to ZANU PF’s resounding victory.

“I want to express my gratitude for your role in the elections last year. Your unity, harmony, peace, and love during and after the elections were exemplary. If you have the support of women and youth in the party, victory is assured,” he added.

While stressing the importance of collective loyalty, President Mnangagwa emphasized the need for individual allegiance to the party and its leadership.

“Loyalty should not be merely collective but must start at an individual level. Your loyalty to the party should be personal, not just because you belong to a group,” he advised.

President Mnangagwa also urged unity among women, urging them to support each other in their respective roles within the party and to eschew divisive behaviors.

“There is no room in our party for negative traits like the ‘pull-him-down’ syndrome. We must unite and support one another,” he emphasized.

Encouraging the Women’s League to lead in developmental initiatives that enhance people’s livelihoods, President Mnangagwa reiterated their importance in advancing the party’s agenda and national progress.

Urgent Plea for Zimbabwean Immigrants Detained Indefinitely in Namibia

By Dorrothy Moyo | Windhoek, Namibia — A growing outcry has emerged from countless parents detained indefinitely under the guise of “awaiting deportation” in Namibia, highlighting the severe distress and suffering of their children left behind.

Namibia, traditionally known for its welcoming stance, currently detains a significant number of Zimbabwean immigrants. These individuals, purportedly awaiting deportation, find themselves in indefinite detention, raising serious concerns about the humanitarian impact of such policies. The emotional toll on families, particularly on children separated from their parents, is profound.

Human rights advocates are urging Namibian authorities to consider the deep impact of these detentions. They argue that enforcing immigration laws should not come at the expense of human dignity and the welfare of vulnerable children. If deportation is deemed necessary, it should be carried out respectfully and safely, ensuring these individuals can return to Zimbabwe without undue hardship.

Immediate action is deemed essential to address this crisis. The prolonged detention and separation of families are causing significant emotional harm, especially among children who face uncertainty and instability. Advocates are calling for humane treatment and swift resolution to prevent further suffering.

The global community is being urged to join this advocacy effort. A petition has been launched to demand the humane treatment and release of the detained immigrants, aiming to reunite families and provide stability for the affected children.

Supporters of the petition believe that their signatures can help alleviate the suffering caused by these detentions and uphold the principles of human rights and compassion. This is a crucial moment for the international community to act and ensure that families are not torn apart by immigration policies.

By joining the advocacy, supporters can make a difference in reuniting children with their parents and securing a hopeful future for those impacted by this crisis.

During the official launch of the Zimbabwe Journalism Educators Network (ZIJEN) in Masvingo, Mr. Nick Mangwana, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, emphasized the crucial role of educational institutions in grooming professional journalists from the outset.

“Today marks the establishment of a network of journalism educators aimed at enhancing journalistic standards and bolstering citizens’ access to information rights across the nation.

However, we also urge educators to prioritize creating safe spaces for their students, and to condemn practices such as sexual harassment for academic advancement. Our goal is to nurture journalists who exhibit both moral integrity and professional excellence,” he stated.

Prominent White Farmer Found Dead in Bulawayo

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | Bulawayo, Zimbabwe — June 16, 2024 | The agricultural community of Zimbabwe is in shock following the tragic death of a well-known white farmer, Christopher Androliakos, who was found dead on June 13, 2024, at his home in Bulawayo. Androliakos, a key figure in the Zimbabwean beef industry through his company Heads and Hooves, was discovered by his domestic worker in what appears to be a case of suicide.

Police spokesman Inspector Abedinico Ncube provided details of the incident, explaining that Androliakos returned home on the evening of June 12, with his wife away in Harare and the family helper retired for the night. The following morning, at around 6 AM, the domestic worker began her daily duties but found the doors of the main house still locked. “She proceeded to the now deceased’s bedroom window and knocked, but there was no response,” Inspector Ncube stated in a press release.

After waiting for some time, the worker entered the house through the kitchen window, which is always left open to allow the cat to move freely. As she made her way to the main bedroom, she discovered Androliakos’ body hanging from the ceiling loft on a nylon rope. “The scene was devastating. This loss is deeply felt by the community,” Ncube added.

Androliakos was known for his significant contributions to the beef industry, supplying over 500 cattle annually. His company, Heads and Hooves, has been a crucial supplier for various butchers and customers across Zimbabwe.

**Historical Context and Economic Impact**

This tragic event comes in the shadow of Zimbabwe’s tumultuous land reform history, which has seen significant legal and economic repercussions over the past 24 years. The fast-track land reform program initiated in 2000 by then-President Robert Mugabe aimed to redistribute land from white commercial farmers to black Zimbabweans. However, this policy led to widespread dispossession and economic decline.

In 2000, Chief Justice Anthony Gubbay of the Zimbabwean Supreme Court declared the land reforms unconstitutional, citing that “the actions taken by the government violate property rights and the rule of law.” Despite this ruling, the government continued with the land seizures, leading to a sharp decline in agricultural productivity.

A landmark case, *Commercial Farmers Union v. Minister of Lands* (2005), saw the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) finding the Zimbabwean government guilty of breaching bilateral investment treaties. The tribunal ordered compensation for dispossessed farmers, but the ruling was largely ignored by the government. “The government’s blatant disregard for international law has left many of us destitute and the economy in ruins,” stated Ben Freeth, a former farmer whose family lost their land.

Economist John Robertson remarked on the broader impact: “The destruction of commercial agriculture was a self-inflicted wound from which Zimbabwe has yet to recover. The loss of skilled farmers, combined with a lack of support for new landowners, has resulted in widespread food insecurity and economic instability.”

From 2000 to 2008, Zimbabwe’s GDP contracted by nearly 50%, and hyperinflation peaked at an astronomical 89.7 sextillion percent in November 2008, according to the World Bank. The land reform program not only displaced thousands of experienced farmers but also led to significant violence. A 2019 report by the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum documented over 4,000 cases of violence against white farmers and their workers.

In recent years, efforts have been made to address past injustices, including a $3.5 billion compensation deal signed in 2020 for dispossessed farmers. However, many remain skeptical about its implementation. “This is a step in the right direction, but much more needs to be done to restore the rule of law and rebuild our economy,” said David Connolly, a farmers’ representative.

As Zimbabwe mourns the loss of Androliakos, his death underscores the lingering scars of the country’s land reform policies and the urgent need for genuine reconciliation and economic recovery.

Wicknell Aquas Bought from Stolen Govt Cash- War Vets Watchdog

Controversy Surrounds Alleged Use of Taxpayer Funds for Varakashi Cars

Harare, Zimbabwe – June 15, 2024

By Farai D Hove | A major scandal has erupted in Zimbabwe as allegations surface that taxpayer money was used to purchase Toyota Aqua vehicles for the ruling party’s Varakashi, not by the philanthropist and convicted money launderer Wicknell Chivayo as previously claimed. The revelation has sparked widespread outrage and demands for accountability.

The allegations were brought to light by COZWVA (Children of Zimbabwe War Veterans Association), a prominent watchdog organization. In a tweet posted earlier today, COZWVA claimed that the funds used for the purchase of the vehicles were released by the Ministry of Finance. According to COZWVA, this means that ordinary Zimbabweans’ taxes were misappropriated for political purposes.

The tweet stated: “The money that was used to pay for Toyota Aquas was taxpayer money which was released by the Ministry of Finance. So Zimbabweans bought Varakashi cars not Sir Wicknell.”

This accusation directly contradicts previous assertions that Wicknell Chivayo, who has a history of legal troubles including a conviction for money laundering, had funded the vehicles as a donation to support the ruling party’s grassroots campaigners, known as Varakashi. Chivayo had been publicly lauded by some for his supposed generosity.

The explosive claim has led to a heated exchange on social media, with COZWVA promising to release evidence to back their allegations. Responses have been swift and fiery, with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s spokesman George Charamba – under user @dhonzamusoro007, posting a provocative reply that was perceived by COZWVA as a death threat. COZWVA responded emphatically, questioning the nature of the threat: “Is this a death threat Mhofu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

ZimFairness added fuel to the fire and these comments reflect the deep-seated resentment of the Zimbabwean government, especially related to the handling of public funds.

As the story unfolds, the Zimbabwean government is under intense pressure to address these serious allegations. The Ministry of Finance have yet to issue a public response. The public awaits further developments, including the promised evidence from COZWVA, which could potentially expose a significant misuse of taxpayer money.

This unfolding drama highlights the ongoing challenges of transparency and accountability in Zimbabwe’s political and financial systems. As more information comes to light, the true extent of the scandal and its implications for the government and the nation remain to be seen.

Chamisa Aide Calls For Chivayo Arrest

Tinashe Sambiri

In a passionate call for action, Stephen Sarkozy Chuma, a prominent aide to Zimbabwean opposition leader Nelson Chamisa, has demanded the resignation of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Chuma, known for his outspoken criticism of the government, emphasized the need for accountability and justice in a nation plagued by allegations of corruption and economic hardship.

Speaking on behalf of citizens disillusioned by the current administration, Chuma declared in a statement on Thursday, “In a normal country, Chivhayo would have been in Chikurubi by now. In fact, citizens would have flooded the streets of Harare demanding ED Mnangagwa’s resignation.

Corruption-ridden Mnangagwa must resign!”

Chuma’s words reflect widespread discontent within Zimbabwe, where many feel that promises of reform have fallen short amid persistent economic challenges and allegations of government corruption. The reference to Chivhayo likely alludes to Wicknell Chivhayo, a controversial businessman accused of involvement in corrupt dealings, whose continued freedom has sparked public outrage.

President Mnangagwa, who came to power in 2017 following the ousting of long-time leader Robert Mugabe, initially pledged to prioritize economic recovery and combat corruption.

However, critics argue that progress has been slow, with corruption allegations implicating high-ranking officials and exacerbating economic woes.

The call for Mnangagwa’s resignation echoes broader sentiments within Zimbabwean civil society and opposition circles, where frustration over governance failures has intensified.

Economic instability, characterized by hyperinflation and currency volatility, has further strained relations between the government and its populace.

Chuma’s statement underscores the urgency of addressing systemic issues that continue to hinder Zimbabwe’s development.

It reflects a growing sentiment that bold action is needed to restore public trust and pave the way for genuine reform.

However, the government has dismissed such calls as politically motivated, emphasizing its commitment to addressing challenges through constitutional means.

As calls for accountability grow louder, Zimbabwe finds itself at a critical juncture, grappling with profound socio-economic challenges amid a polarized political landscape.

The outcome of these tensions will likely shape the country’s trajectory in the coming years, influencing its standing in the international community and the aspirations of its citizens for a better future.

Richard Tsvangirai Successfully Pushes For Construction Of Radiology Centre…

By A Correspondent

The Norton Town Council has announced the commencement of construction for a much-anticipated Radiology Centre at Norton Hospital, marking a significant step forward in local healthcare infrastructure.

According to the council’s statement released on Friday, plans and drawings for the Radiology (X-Ray) Centre have been finalized, with an initial procurement of 40,000 bricks to kickstart the construction process.

The project, identified as one of the flagship initiatives for 2024, aims to bring essential diagnostic services closer to residents in Norton.

Speaking on the initiative, Norton Member of Parliament Richard Tsvangirai expressed his enthusiasm for the development, emphasizing its potential impact on local healthcare accessibility. He stated, “This is a welcome development. Norton residents have long faced challenges accessing affordable diagnostic services, often having to resort to expensive private hospitals.

I have consistently raised this concern with the relevant ministry, and I am hopeful that measures are being taken to expedite the process.”

The Radiology Centre project has garnered support from key government ministries, including the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, as well as the Ministry of Health and Child Care, underscoring its importance in enhancing healthcare delivery within the Norton community.

As construction progresses, local authorities and stakeholders are optimistic that the new facility will not only alleviate the burden on residents seeking diagnostic services but also contribute to broader improvements in healthcare infrastructure across Norton.

Richard Tsvangirai Revives Dad’s Legacy?

By A Correspondent

Richard Tsvangirai, Member of Parliament for Norton and son of the late Morgan Tsvangirai, is being closely watched as he steps into his father’s formidable shoes within Zimbabwe’s political landscape.

Morgan Tsvangirai, remembered as the founding president of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) and a staunch advocate against Zanu PF’s regime, left a significant imprint on Zimbabwean politics through his unwavering stance against brutality and oppression.

Observers now speculate whether Richard Tsvangirai is beginning to revive and carry forward his father’s legacy.

The younger Tsvangirai has been noted for his emerging leadership qualities, with some suggesting parallels to his father’s boldness in confronting political challenges.

Reflecting on a recent encounter, a young Zimbabwean, Tatenda, shared his impressions of Richard Tsvangirai, describing him as a humble leader.

“It was a pleasure meeting Honourable Richard Tsvangirayi,” Tatenda remarked. “Your Facebook pictures make you look taller than you actually are in person. Well, dynamite comes in small packages.”

As Richard Tsvangirai continues to navigate his political journey, many eyes remain on him to see how he will shape and uphold the principles and vision set forth by his late father in the struggle for democracy and justice in Zimbabwe.

Ruthless Germany Run Riot

By A Correspondent

In the inaugural match of Euro 2024, Germany demonstrated their prowess as hosts by securing a commanding 5-1 victory over Scotland.

Florian Wirtz set the tone early with a spectacular goal from distance, swiftly followed by Jamal Musiala doubling Germany’s advantage.

Scotland faced further adversity when Ryan Porteous received a red card for a reckless challenge on Ilkay Gundogan in the penalty area, allowing Kai Havertz to convert from the spot.

Despite a valiant effort, Scotland struggled to contain Germany’s relentless attacks, leading to substitute Niclas Fullkrug extending the lead late in the second half.

A late own goal by Antonio Rudiger gave Scotland a glimmer of hope, quickly extinguished by Emre Can’s decisive strike in injury time, sealing Germany’s comprehensive victory.

The focus now shifts to Group A’s next encounter, where Hungary and Switzerland clash on Saturday to further define the tournament’s early dynamics.

Mnangagwa Demands Loyalty From Women’s League

Mnangagwa’s Dubious Characters Embarrass The Party And Zimbabwe As A Whole

By Cde Mandla Mpofu | The country is in trouble, because there are no criminals around Mnangagwa; there are criminals led by Mnangagwa. One contributor placated this message to the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa saying: “Your proximity and association with dubious characters is aiding their criminality! They will produce pictures with an ‘alleged’ President, thereby making the innocent drop their guard.”

Characters pushing ED into the river

Many Zimbabweans have complained about ED’s choice of associates. Zimbabweans worldwide have expressed concern over the audios of yet another scammer linked to his presidency, alleging that the latest development confirms that the presidency under Mnangagwa has become a haven for dubious characters. Fraudsters, murderers, and all sorts of criminals are so close to the president.

Passion Java with Emmerson Mnangagwa

Zimbabweans should seriously give themselves a deep self-searching moment. Our State House is now filled with thugs.

The convicted armed robber who is the President’s son-in-law, Mr. Paradzai Kutyauripo, is employed at the State House as the Director of all residencies across the country. To prove that criminality is in his blood, Kutyauripo used his sister, the violent and stubborn First Lady, to rob the chiefdom from another. Now, Kutyauripo is a chief by force and still occupies a senior post in the State House. It is unsurprising that many robbers commit crimes and hide at the State House.

It is again not a lie that Mnangagwa himself receives millions of dollars every month from his partner in crime, Owen Muda Ncube. Muda and July Moyo demand thirty percent from every miner, including the “Gwejas,” now fondly called artisan miners. Anyone who mines in Midlands must pay 30 percent of their produce to Muda, who then gives the collections to Mnangagwa. There is no doubt that Muda gets more money in kickbacks.

This is the country we call ours. The President partakes in criminal activities openly and is now a multi-billionaire from the money he robs from his own people. Zimbabweans are shocked that scammers like Uebert Angel and Wicknell Chivayo even enjoy office accommodation within the safety and cover of the Presidential Villa, from where they carry out their fraudulent assignments. This is hard evidence that the Mnangagwa presidency breeds and facilitates swindlers, charlatans, and treasury looters.

It can be said that nothing is impossible for a presidency replete with individuals who thrive on lies, false claims, certificate forgery, bribery, intimidation, robbery, murder, and recruiting fraudulent and corrupt persons as ministers, special advisers, and clandestine fronts for financial sleazes and presidential sons like Chivayo.

Zimbabweans hold that it is the height of deceit and duplicity that an administration boasting of integrity and zero tolerance for corruption could be the very sanctuary of the underworld. It is surely playing with Zimbabweans, and Mnangagwa is a thief put in the State House.

If the President were taking the advice offered by some politicians and pundits in recent days, he would desist from associating with people of dubious character. However, strange behavior and merely associating with dubious characters put the President’s name in disrepute.

This is presumably one reason why President Mnangagwa surrounds himself with criminals. Does Mnangagwa know that national security requires that he surrounds himself with those who have been vetted? Mnangagwa’s behavior reveals why the issue of executive power and the law in our constitutional order is more complicated than anything and always broken because a criminal is in power. It is not easy to answer whether the President, acting in this gray area, is “breaking the law.”

This is in addition to further allegations that Chivayo has been fronting for a close relation of the President for shady oil deals and huge contracts running into billions of dollars in major revenue-earning agencies. As Chivayo said, many government departments will give him tenders uncontested.

Zimbabweans must note how the Chivayo matters reminded the nation of the case of being eaten alive. We have several Zimbabweans in charge of receiving billions of dollars from miners and businessmen on behalf of the President. Where are we going as a nation?

Dubious persons close to the President are involved in serial fraud and looting of public resources. It is shameful how the public space has been saturated with allegations of individuals and cabals connected to the Mnangagwa presidency hounding government agencies and major domestic and international business concerns for kickbacks while strangling those who refuse to accede to their demands.

Today, it is no longer news that the Mnangagwa presidency holds the medal as the most corrupt administration in our nation’s history, which has also mastered the act of concealment with propaganda and deceit. The Presidency has not yet provided answers as to why it has not investigated and prosecuted the utterances by Chivayo. There are persons involved in the trillion-dollar sleazy contracts as detailed in the leaked audios by Chivayo, which has always been a complaint by Zimbabweans.

The Presidency has also not informed the nation why it has not investigated and prosecuted persons involved in the alleged stealing of our money. Such inaction in the face of huge sleazes points to nothing but complicity in very high places, and Zimbabweans now know the links as well as those to hold responsible. Mnangagwa’s corruption and Chivayo’s unlimited access to the presidency and security of the country mean they have upheld a President’s “inherent authority” outside the Constitution to acquire more wealth despite necessary intelligence for national security purposes. The friendship of Mnangagwa with known criminals like Passion Java, Walter Magaya, Hubert Angel, Makandiwa, Emanuel Chivayo, and many criminals now in our parliament like July Moyo and Owen Ncube, using such people for criminally amassing wealth, is demonic since citizens’ lives and liberty are potentially at stake.

Mnangagwa does not understand why the President uniquely swears an oath prescribed in the Constitution to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. Implicit in that oath is the recognition that, no matter how much we might wish it to be the case, one cannot legislate for every contingency, and judges cannot supervise many national security decisions. But when the President leads the troops of thugs, then cry the beloved country.

Mnangagwa has rolled our country into the mud by choosing thieves ahead of those who voted for him. Mnangagwa’s association with ‘dubious characters’ has state agencies spooked about blackmail threats and are being undermined by these thieves now called children of the father thief.

This is not an argument for an unfettered executive prerogative. Under our system of separated powers, the Zimbabwean parliament has no right and ability to judge whether President Mnangagwa has in fact used his executive discretion soundly, and to hold him responsible if he hasn’t. But to engage in demagogic rhetoric about corruption, with more evidence that the President has abused his discretion, is foolish and irresponsible because they are afraid to put Mnangagwa in his place. Those around Mnangagwa are afraid of him, and he has become a loose cannon. Mnangagwa is a law unto himself and has transferred that power to the thieves around him.

Zimbabweans, we are under the powers of evil. We are cursed with having President Chivayo, an overall power to steal from us. Maybe there is stuff that can be used for blackmail against Mnangagwa; that’s why he is afraid to take action. Does he have close friends and associates with a dubious character more than that of Java, Angel, and Chivayo?

Zimbabwe is in trouble. There are no criminals around Mnangagwa; there are criminals led by Mnangagwa.

Mohadi Collapses Again

By Political Reporter- Vice President Kembo Mohadi experienced a severe bout of coughing on Friday, which forced him to pause his speech and request water during a laptop donation event at Manama High School, his alma mater in Gwanda South.

Throughout the event, he appeared pale and tired.

Despite his appearance, the 74-year-old Vice President dismissed rumors about his deteriorating health, asserting that he is fit but feeling the effects of old age.

Germany Crush Scotland 5-1 in Euro 2024 Opener

US Based Zim Medic Builds Clinic In Zaka

By Staff Reporter-By Staff Reporter – Sadock Mashindi, a United States-based clinician and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arise Hospital in Indiana, has built a clinic in Zaka, Masvingo Province.

According to The Mirror, the Nyamandlovhu Clinic, located in Dahwa Village in Zaka Ward 31 under Chief Bota, will be commissioned later this year and will offer free services.

Mashindi, who is also a cleric in the Church of Christ, was motivated to build the clinic after losing several relatives, including his father, to treatable diseases due to a critical shortage of local clinics. He explained: “I lost my father and relatives because we had to travel long distances to other clinics, and some people died on the way before accessing medical care. I started this project five years ago, and the clinic will be officially opened this year. We are doing this to help the community through our Christian values.”

Nyamandlovhu Clinic is expected to serve at least 5,000 villagers in Ward 31, the new resettlement area, Dzoro, Bota, and parts of Zaka South and East.

Mashindi funded the project with his own resources and received additional support from family and friends.

He views this initiative as part of his Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to his village of origin.

He said: “My idea is to establish a mission in my rural village. We want to build a primary and secondary school as part of the mission, and the establishment of an orphanage is also being considered.
Currently, we have only two mission schools in Zaka, and I aim to establish a third one. I want to thank my family, friends, and church members for their support from day one. My wife, who is a medical doctor, supported me, and my kids made significant sacrifices to help build this faith-based clinic.”

In addition to building the clinic, Mashindi has donated medication and equipment to Machiva Clinic and is assisting villagers through mobile clinics with a team of doctors.

Before relocating to the USA, Mashindi was a teacher at Dewure High School in Gutu.

In the USA, he worked as a Regional Clinician Counselor before establishing his own hospital.

Prisca Mupfumira Found Not Guilty Of Criminal Abuse Of Duty

By A Correspondent| The widely circulated corruption case against former Public Service Minister Prisca Mupfumira has collapsed after a deputy chief magistrate Ngoni Nduna found her not guilty of criminal abuse of duty as a public officer stating that the actual people who failed in their duty as public officers were actually made witnesses against her.

Mupfumira was accused of acting contrary to her duties by directing NSSA to engage in the Muzenya off take housing project in Gweru which resulted in a company called Drawcard Enterprises entering into an agreement with NSSA without following tender process.

The State alleged that she handpicked the company and pressurised the Nssa board into entering into an agreement with them, which was against the law and in violation of tender processes.

She was jointly charged with a director at NSSA Barnabas Matongera who was discharged at the close of the State’s case.

During her defence case on Friday as she was being led in evidence by her lawyer,Admire Rubaya, Senator Mupfumira said she was a victim of circumstances, describing the allegations as politically motivated, driven by political adversaries who accused her of supporting President Emmerson Mnangagwa who was then Vice-President.

She denied bringing Drawcard into the picture, stating that it was the responsibility of the nssa board to come up with such procurement decisions. She said she was never part of the board and never sat on it and her version found favour with the court.

“Accused’s version that she never participated in the identification of Drawcard sounds highly probable. Her cry that she may have been a mere victim is not far-fetched. The court comes to this conclusion because there is all the evidence, in black and white, that NSSA board proceeded on its own resolution in the execution of the Mzenya Project, but the state persisted with her prosecution,” the magistrate said.

The Court said the ex-minister cannot be faulted that the project in issue was not taken to tender as this was not her responsibility adding that it is preposterous to think she did that.

The Court said the people who might have abused their duty were the ones who were made witnesses.

“Clearly where one in these circumstances would want the court to believe that accused is responsible from the deviation from PRAZ provisions and that she compelled NSSA to engage Drawcard in the absence of minutes of meetings where accused is recorded as exerting herself towards engagements of Drawcard would be preposterous to say the least.

“It is clear PRAZ regulations were ousted by the resolution of 30 June 2017 from application on Offtake Housing Projects and the identification and engagement of a developer. The only conclusion to be arived at is that NSSA did not go to tender because they resolved not to do so.

“Accused was not part of the deliberations where that resolution was arived at. If ever PRAZ applied to the projects, it is the Legal Advisors in NSSA who should be held liable for not properly advising the board on legal issues. They let the board subvert a statutory provision. And persons who could have erred, in the face of clear evidence, they were lined as witnesses against the accused,” the court said.

The court said there is no evidence that she knew about the company before its engagement.

“For example the state can prove prior dealing or connection between the accused and the beneficiary of the impugned favours or decision by the public oficer. In this case there was none put before the court that accused may have known or be connected to Drawcard so as to induce her to extend an undue favour of the deal in question. There is no evidence that accused, soon after or before ever received a consideration from Drawcard

Zimbabwe: The Case For Financial Genocide And Terrorism

Dr Raymond Chamba | No societies and nations are free from crime. There is a fine difference between common, passing and normal acts of thievery within any business operation, and there is a most chilling, structured mechanism to prejudice a nation of their expected national development potential. The latter is what obtains in Zimbabwe where a wholesale criminal enterprise has taken over the work of government- exerting an intolerable, insufferable and evil extraction mechanism to the cost of doing business.

Dr Raymond Chamba

The private tollgates for creaming off benefits to all levels of government contracting, enabled by strategic appointments of people within the cycle of decision making on examination of recent reports of gross malfeasance cannot be called corruption anymore. By the fact and effect of its painful impact on a nation with arrested development it’s best explained as a form of genocide and financial terrorism on the rampage.

Reports of a structured existence of “Mr 10%” for all government payments make for most sad reading. Let’s compute total government expenditure since September, 2018 on his assumption of office then come up with a most minimal figure of the private toll gate that this man and his cartel have put up at the very heart of government. If reports are founded this cannot be an anomaly but the very reason that person was put there- to cream off payments for a cartel.

The sensational Wicknell Chivharo is actually nothing more than a blubber mouth and indeed small fry given the ernomity of these levels of structured corruption as reported and alleged. Dear Zimbabwean citizens- we are being led by a government of crooks, for crooks, and cheered on and defended by crooks. Tiri kutongwa nembavha. There is no refined way to put it…..

In terms of the quantum of fraudulent behaviour relative to our economy we cannot talk about thieving anymore because it amounts to genocide in terms of the toll it takes on the fiscus and the net prejudice to the ordinary citizens in terms of reduced healthcare, bad roads, education delivery, unemployment and all the negative human development indicators that point to a society under financial seige from those that are charged with giving it political and economic direction.

By all preliminary indications the fiscus must have been prejudiced of not less than USD$12 billion since 2018. Since local action has failed to stem the tide of rampant financial thuggery, the time to take this to international bodies is now. lts not just big fraudulent behaviour but the great potential of proceeds being used to fund and
promote illicit activities like terrorism, mineral smuggling, drug trade and human trafficking.

What’s taking place is something bigger and more sinister than commercial malfeasance. Its a whole brazen construction of criminal enterprise for the express purpose of perpetuationg other far bigger and uglier global malcontence of the highest order. These are not just incompetent and socio-political and economic indifferent people…

By all actions of commission and commission we are talking about an active satanic and evil kingdom activated. Something has to give and soonest lest we have country to speak of. What we see before our very eyes is financial genocide and terrorism perpetrated against the hapless citizens of Zimbabwe by a committed small criminal enterprise sect of political Mandarins defined by an even narrow group of related families….

Is Richard Tsvangirai Slowly Reviving Dad’s Legacy?

Chamisa Aide Calls For Mnangagwa Resignation With Immediate Effect

Chamisa In Grand Appearance

By Political Reporter- Zimbabwe’s most popular opposition politician, Nelson Chamisa, was enthusiastically received by Zanu PF bigwigs at a function hosted at the British Embassy’s Chisipite residence in Harare on Friday.

Photographs from the event capture Zanu PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa and former Zanu PF political commissar Webster Shamu eagerly vying for the opportunity to be photographed with the charismatic Chamisa.

Following the event, Chamisa took to his Facebook page to express his dedication to uniting the people of Zimbabwe.

Chamisa wrote:

Malema Squares Off With Ramaphosa, Calls Him Sell-Out

South Africa- The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema, has condemned the impending African National Congress and Democratic Alliance government, saying that it would not serve the interests of black South Africans.

Malema said this after the re-election of ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa following a marathon sitting of the National Assembly Friday night.

Ramaphosa is forming a Government of National Unity with the Democratic Alliance, Inkatha Freedom Party, National Freedom Party, the Patriotic Alliance and Freedom Front Plus.

Malema said the ANC and DA joining forces to ensure Ramaphosa was elected was “a marriage that seeks to undermine the changing of property relations in South Africa”.
“We refuse to sell out. We have never done so when we’re young, and we’re not going to do so today. We don’t have a history of being collaborators.
“We are going to ensure that this parliament is functional. We can reassure you that will not fight with any bouncers. We’re going to be the best and effective opposition that is going to ensure that both you and the DA are held accountable. This is not a government of national unity. This is a grand coalition between the ANC and the white monopoly capital. History will judge you and judge you harshly,” Malema said.Hitting back at critics Ramaphosa said the formation of the new government was not a government of national unity but a “grand coalition between the ANC and DA,” Ramaphosa said, “I wish to state very clearly this is not a grand coalition of two or three parties. It is a government of national unity that we are constituting, and we’ve been here before. We were here in 1994 when we sought to unite our country and effect reconciliation. We are here now, as directed by the votes that our people delivered, to work together to ensure that we address the challenges that they face. And this we shall do, and this is what I am committed to achieving as the President of the Republic of South Africa.”Ramaphosa said the results of the general elections on May 29 were made clear by the electorate, who wanted the leaders of the country to work together.
“They expect the parties for which they voted to find common ground, to overcome their differences, to act and work together for the good of everyone in our country. The stark reality of the results of our past election is that no single party represented in this house achieved an outright majority to work alone, legislatively and also at the executive level. Through their votes, our people expect all parties to work together within the framework of our Constitution and to work as political parties to achieve the objectives of a democratic society based on non-racialism, non-sexism, peace, and justice, to ensure stability and to tackle the triple challenges of poverty, unemployment, and inequality, and to achieve prosperity for all,” Ramaphosa said.

More Troubles For Chivhayo

By Political Reporter- Zanu PF sympathiser and controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo is under investigation for allegedly defrauding the government of US$1.2 million by charging exorbitant prices for an HP server that retails for approximately US$4,000.

Through his South African-based company, Chivhayo billed the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) over US$1.2 million for an HP server that costs about US$4,000.

This revelation comes amid a fallout between Chivhayo and his business partners, Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe.

Reports indicate that Chivhayo secured contracts worth up to US$40 million with ZEC ahead of the August 2023 general elections.

These contracts were for providing tents, electronic devices, biometric hardware and software, ink, and training, among other essentials.

Mpofu and Chimombe, who are demanding US$10 million in lost earnings from Chivhayo, have released incriminating information against him.

This includes details of a deal involving the South African firm, Ren-Form. According to The NewsHawks, ZEC initiated a procurement process in February 2023 and specifically selected Chivhayo and his partners to supply critical electoral materials.

Chivhayo, in collaboration with Chimombe and Mpofu, used Better Brands Security (Pvt) Ltd, owned by Scott Sakupwanya, to enter an agreement with Ren-Form CC on February 13, 2023, for participation in Zimbabwe’s election tenders.

It is alleged that Chivhayo, conspiring with Ren-Form officials, later altered the agreement to exclude his business partners, thus securing 66% of the payments for himself.

The agreed procedure was for Ren-Form to invoice and receive payments from ZEC, then transfer Better Brands’ share into a South African bank account.

This arrangement left Chimombe and Mpofu enraged.
Leaked documents and invoices reveal that the South African company provided ZEC with an HP Proliant DL380 Gen 10 server, invoiced at US$1,264,865.

However, the same server is priced at $4,695 on Amazon, indicating that Chivhayo overcharged ZEC by more than US$1,260,000.

Water Crisis in Hwange: Residents in DRC Phase 4 Left Dry Despite Payments

I am a Zimbabwean currently residing in South Africa and whk relocated my family back to Hwange, Zimbabwe, where I purchased a plot in DRC Phase 4, Hwange.

When I arrived home in early February, water was available, but by the end of February, the water supply in Phase 4 was cut off. Despite our efforts to contact Zinwa and the Hwange local board, we have not received a clear explanation. Residents are still paying for water, yet the main pipe for DRC Phase 4 remains closed to this day.

I am seeking assistance with this issue. I can provide videos showing the water we are currently using.

Thank you.

Nelson Chamisa, often regarded as a beacon of political acumen in Zimbabwe, made waves on Friday as he shared images of himself engaging with members of the ruling Zanu PF party at a British Embassy event. Among those captured in the snapshots were Zanu PF stalwarts Chris Mutsvangwa and Webster Shamu, signaling a rare display of political unity in the country.

In a statement accompanying the photos, Chamisa emphasized the importance of coming together for the collective good. “Mixing and mingling… It was really refreshing to interact with the invited guests and Zimbabweans from diverse walks of life at an event hosted by the @UKinZimbabwe. We must unite to build a stronger and better future. We’re #OnePeople,” remarked Chamisa, underlining his commitment to fostering national unity and reconciliation.

Chamisa’s willingness to engage with political adversaries is seen as a departure from the often polarized landscape of Zimbabwean politics. Despite ideological differences and historical animosities, the gesture reflects Chamisa’s pragmatic approach to governance and his recognition of the need for collaboration in addressing the country’s myriad challenges.

The presence of prominent Zanu PF figures alongside Chamisa at the British Embassy event underscores the potential for dialogue and cooperation across party lines. Mutsvangwa and Shamu, both veterans of the political arena, joined Chamisa in demonstrating a shared commitment to the nation’s future prosperity and stability.

Chamisa’s inclusive rhetoric and outreach efforts have been met with both praise and scrutiny. While some applaud his efforts to bridge political divides and promote national unity, others remain skeptical of the prospects for genuine reconciliation in a deeply polarized political environment.

Nevertheless, Chamisa’s message of unity resonates with many Zimbabweans who yearn for an end to political strife and a renewed focus on addressing pressing socio-economic challenges. By extending an olive branch to political foes and advocating for collaboration, Chamisa is positioning himself as a unifying force in Zimbabwean politics, offering a vision of hope and progress for the nation’s future.

Zanu PF Regime Grabs Tsvangirai House

By A Correspondent

In a move that has ignited shock and outrage across Zimbabwe, the administration of President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reportedly seized the residence of the late former Prime Minister and founding president of the Movement for Democratic Change, Morgan Tsvangirai.

The appropriation of Tsvangirai’s home for government purposes marks a troubling development in the country’s political landscape, reigniting concerns about property rights and political motivations.

According to a government source who spoke on condition of anonymity, the house of the late Morgan Tsvangirai has been repurposed to serve as the headquarters of the Government Mutapa Investment Fund.

The sudden transition of the property into a government asset has stunned many observers and raised questions about the intentions behind the move.

The announcement was met with swift condemnation from various quarters, with critics denouncing the action as a brazen display of power by the Mnangagwa regime. Prominent opposition figures and civil society organizations have decried the seizure, highlighting its implications for property rights and political freedoms in Zimbabwe.

In response to the controversial decision, a spokesperson for the opposition party remarked, “The actions of the Mnangagwa administration in appropriating Morgan Tsvangirai’s house are a blatant violation of property rights and a cynical attempt to erase the memory of a formidable political figure.

This move represents a new low in the government’s disregard for democratic norms and respect for the legacy of those who have fought for a better Zimbabwe.”

The house in question, once the private residence of Morgan Tsvangirai, symbolizes the struggle for democracy and the sacrifices made by opposition leaders in challenging the ruling establishment. Its transformation into a government institution underscores the shifting power dynamics within Zimbabwe and the challenges facing those who seek to uphold democratic values in the face of authoritarian tendencies.

Civil society groups and human rights advocates have called for transparency regarding the decision to expropriate Tsvangirai’s house, demanding accountability from the Mnangagwa administration.

The move has reignited concerns about the erosion of property rights and the consolidation of power in the hands of a few within the country’s political elite.

As the controversy surrounding the seizure of Morgan Tsvangirai’s house continues to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing struggles for democracy and justice in Zimbabwe.

Chamisa Breathes Fire Over Zim Crisis

In a scathing denouncement, Zimbabwean opposition leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa has unleashed a torrent of criticism against President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his ruling Zanu PF party, accusing them of turning a blind eye to corruption, fraud, and nepotism that pervade the country’s political landscape.

“It’s rottenness everywhere,” Chamisa proclaimed in a statement that reverberated across the nation, highlighting the pervasive culture of corruption that has plagued Zimbabwean society for years.

Drawing a parallel between governance and the putrefaction of a fish starting from its head, Chamisa’s words painted a grim picture of the state of affairs in the country.

The specific incident that drew Chamisa’s ire involved an aspiring political candidate embroiled in a dubious transaction relating to the procurement of election materials by the Electoral ‘Omission,’ a glaring typo that likely alluded to the Electoral Commission, alongside a known ally of the incumbent government. Despite the candidate’s efforts, the election was lost.

Subsequently, a shadowy figure, described as an ‘impositor,’ acting as a proxy for the aspiring politician, petitioned for the removal of the winning candidate in a move shrouded in intrigue.

The response from both the Electoral Commission and Parliament to the impostor’s letter, resulting in the disqualification of legitimate candidates from contesting, cast a dark shadow over the electoral process.

The culmination of these events saw the aspiring politician, alleged by Chamisa to be a “political conman,” usurp a parliamentary seat uncontested, emblematic of the deep-seated corruption and manipulation that Chamisa vociferously condemned.

Chamisa’s rallying cry for an end to this “rottenness” struck a chord with many Zimbabweans disillusioned by the persistent malfeasance that has marred the country’s governance and eroded public trust in the political establishment.

The call to action resonated not only with his supporters but also with citizens across the political spectrum who yearn for transparency, accountability, and integrity in their leaders.

The implications of Chamisa’s statement reverberate far beyond the confines of partisan politics.

They underscore the urgent need for systemic reforms that would safeguard democratic principles, uphold the rule of law, and combat the scourge of corruption that threatens to undermine Zimbabwe’s socio-political fabric.

Chivhayo In US$1.2 Million Tender Fraud

By Political Reporter- Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo has been implicated in defrauding the Zimbabwean state of US$1.2 million by charging exorbitant prices for an HP server that retails for approximately US$4,000.

Chivhayo, operating through his South African-based company, billed the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) over US$1.2 million for an HP server that costs about US$4,000.

This revelation comes amid a fallout between Chivhayo and his business partners, Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe.

Reports indicate that Chivhayo secured contracts worth up to US$40 million with ZEC ahead of the August 2023 general elections.

These contracts were for the provision of tents, electronic devices, biometric hardware and software, ink, and training, among other essentials.

ANC, DA, Forge Historic Government of National Unity

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye| In a groundbreaking political development, multiple sources have confirmed that South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC) and the Democratic Alliance (DA) have successfully negotiated a deal to form a Government of National Unity (GNU). This coalition will also include the Patriotic Alliance (PA) and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP). The agreement comes in the wake of the recent national elections in May, which resulted in a hung parliament with no party securing an outright majority.

-Protracted Negotiations Culminate in Historic Agreement

The formation of the GNU follows days of intense negotiations and discussions among the major political parties. Initially, there was significant uncertainty as parties struggled to decide their alliances and positions within the proposed GNU. The breakthrough was achieved after the IFP, a key player in these negotiations, declared its commitment to the coalition on Thursday.

– IFP’s Commitment to National Unity

In a pivotal announcement, IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa confirmed that the party would join the GNU at the national level alongside the ANC and DA. Hlabisa emphasized that this decision was driven by a sense of duty towards South Africa and its citizens. “For the sake of South Africa and our people, we have chosen to be part of this unity government,” Hlabisa stated.

– A New Era in South African Politics

This alliance between historically antagonistic parties marks a significant shift in South Africa’s political landscape. The ANC, which has been the dominant force in South African politics since the end of apartheid in 1994, now shares governance responsibilities with the DA, its primary political rival, and other significant parties.

The DA has also announced its support for Cyril Ramaphosa’s re-election as President, a move that almost guarantees his continued leadership. Senior DA negotiator Helen Zille expressed optimism about the coalition, indicating that the deal represents a new chapter for South Africa.

– Implications for Governance and Policy

The formation of the GNU is expected to bring a period of political stability and collaborative governance. With the ANC, DA, PA, and IFP working together, the government aims to address pressing national issues more effectively, combining their diverse perspectives and strengths.

This development promises to reshape the political dynamics in South Africa, fostering an environment of cooperation and shared objectives among the major parties. As the new government takes shape, all eyes will be on how this unprecedented coalition manages the country’s challenges and opportunities in the years ahead.

The creation of the Government of National Unity marks a historic moment in South Africa’s political history. It underscores a collective commitment to unity, stability, and the well-being of the nation. The collaboration between the ANC, DA, PA, and IFP is set to usher in a new era of governance, with the hope of fostering greater prosperity and social cohesion across South Africa.

IT’S ROTTENNESS EVERYWHERE..
The extent of rottenness and corruption stinks to the high heavens. As they say, a fish rots from the head. An aspiring political candidate is implicated in a transaction involving procurement of election materials by the Electoral ‘Omission’ together with a well known ally of the incumbent. The candidate loses the election. An impositor who is their proxy and sidekick recalls the winning candidate in the aspiring politician/ conman’s constituency. This rottenness must be ended! Good day family!

Tshabangu Rebukes Chivayo For Abusing Mr Mnangagwa’s Name

By A Correspondent

In the realm of politics, the lines between influence, power, and respect often blur, and recent events in Zimbabwe have underscored this complexity.

The latest episode involves the outspoken Citizens Coalition for Change interim Secretary, Senator Sengezo Tshabangu, who has raised pertinent concerns regarding the conduct of businessman Wicknell Chivayo.

The controversy stems from a leaked audio where Chivayo purportedly boasts of his close ties with President Emmerson Mnangagwa, suggesting an undue influence over state affairs.

In response to these claims, Tshabangu has taken a firm stance, calling out what he perceives as an abuse of the President’s name and a display of disrespect towards the highest office in the nation.

Asserting his point with clarity and conviction, Tshabangu emphasized the need for a public apology from Chivayo, highlighting the significance of honoring the presidency and its symbolic weight in governance.

In a statement released on a Thursday, Tshabangu did not mince words, stating, “I submit that people must respect the title of the “PRESIDENT” who’s also the Head of State and Government…”

” … For a person,a civilian for that matter,to claim that they have captured the President is tantamount to undermining him,the young man must issue an apology for his utterances, “added Tshabangu.

Tshabangu’s words resonate with a deeper sentiment that goes beyond political affiliations or personal interests.

At the core of his message lies a fundamental principle: the imperative to uphold the dignity of the presidency and the institutions it represents.

To claim, as Chivayo apparently did, that an individual has ‘captured’ the President not only smacks of arrogance and audacity but also undermines the essence of democratic values and governance structures.

The call for accountability and decorum in public discourse is not merely a plea for formality but a stand for the values that hold a society together. In a democracy, where leaders are elected to serve the people, any insinuation of undue influence or manipulation strikes at the heart of the social contract between the governed and the governors.

Those in positions of influence – be it business magnates, politicians, or public figures – bear a heightened obligation to exercise their authority with prudence and integrity, conscious of the implications their words and actions carry.

Mugwadi Teaches Chivhayo Lessons

By A Correspondent| Former Zanu PF Director of Communications Tafadzwa Mugwadi has mocked controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo for failing to hold his excitement after getting close to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Posting on Twitter, Mugwadi who is also the Buhera South legislator said sungura musician Freddy Manjalima, popularly known as Kapfupi met the President but did not go around Epworth scamming people.

“Kapfupi is an exemplary cadre than some sascums! By now, the whole of Epworth must have been scammed by him but no. He knows the dignity of the Statesman he met. Take lessons!,” Mugwadi said.

Chivhayo was heard in a leaked audio boasting of strong ties with President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

He confidently asserts that he can direct Mnangagwa’s actions due to his close ties with the head of state, which he exploits to secure lucrative government contracts.

“I have captured this state entity with my bare hands,” Chivhayo declared, revealing his current focus on securing grain tenders amidst the drought.

“Right now, there is a drought. We will just create a structure, and suddenly, we are recognized as the main suppliers of grain in the country. We submit an application, and it’s immediately stated that Militech is supplying all the grain. It’s the company that has won the contract. Boom! Advance payment: and we start functioning immediately,” he detailed.

Voters Duped In ZANU PF Housing Fraud

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | In a shocking turn of events, the affiliate organization HOMESEEKERS4ED, established to mobilize votes for Zimbabwe’s ruling ZANU PF party, is under fire for failing to deliver on its key election promises. The affiliate had pledged to provide free residential stands to tenants across the country, enticing voters with the slogan “Thatha maKey Thatha,” which translates to “Take the Key Take” in Shona. However, ten months after the elections, the promised free stands remain elusive, and prices have skyrocketed, leaving many prospective homeowners in dismay.

During their campaign, HOMESEEKERS4ED leaders assured the electorate that they would receive residential stands at a minimal administrative fee. Instead, the current price lists reveal exorbitant costs beyond the reach of many citizens:

– 300 sqm stand: $7,500 USD (deposit $500 USD)
– 400 sqm stand: $10,000 USD (deposit $800 USD)
– 800 sqm stand: $16,000 USD (deposit $1,000 USD)
– 1,000 sqm stand: $20,000 USD (deposit $1,500 USD)

This drastic shift from the initial promise has sparked outrage among those who believed they would receive affordable housing. The issue is compounded by the affiliate’s failure to disclose the additional fees required by land developers before, during, and after the election period.

Despite multiple rallies aimed at addressing the concerns of home seekers, clarity on when the stands will be serviced and allocated remains absent. In an attempt to alleviate the situation, Prophet Java purchased a piece of land to support impoverished home seekers. However, the affiliate’s leadership continues to demand substantial deposits without providing a clear timeline for allocation.

Compounding the controversy, HOMESEEKERS4ED has also failed to deliver membership cards that individuals paid for last year. The situation worsened when it was revealed that a senior member of the affiliate, previously suspended for misappropriating membership fees, was recently reinstated after expressing remorse and apologizing for his actions.

As discontent grows, the integrity of HOMESEEKERS4ED and its leadership is under intense scrutiny. The organization, once seen as a beacon of hope for affordable housing, now faces allegations of broken promises and financial misconduct.

For now, the dream of many Zimbabweans to own a home remains in jeopardy, with calls for accountability and transparency from the ruling party and its affiliates growing louder.

Picture Of Wicknell With Uebert, Bushiri, Planning To Take Over Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana State Security Ministries

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | The below picture is of the tender-preneur, Wicknell Chivayo meeting two of Africa’ most notorious prophets Uebert Angel and Shepherd Bushiri. On this day, as the Sunday Mail reports, Chivayo was receiving a so called prophecy that in 10 years he is going to be a beneficiary of a USD33 million bounty.

Both Bushiri and Angel are fugitives from justice, and Chivayo’s best friend the so called Chief J who is Joseph Mhaka is a convicted cheque fraudster who is on the run following a £1,3million UK case.

The three (in picture)have since managed to severally effectively take over the state security arms of three countries Malawi, Botswana and Zimbabwe, of which incidents show they are now virtually untouchable.

While video footage of both Botswana and Zimbabwe State Security Ministers show them swearing loyalty to South Africa’s money laundering fugitive, Bushiri, back in Zimbabwe, Chivayo has torched storm amid revelations suggested in two leaked audio clips that he has paid the Director General of the Central Intelligence Organisation.

Chivayo has sent tongues wagging in the community after his voice was heard suggesting that he has captured the Head Of State, utterances which are somewhat confirmed by piles of video footage and the splashing of large amounts of untaxed money he has been showing celebrities in the last year. Wicknell, Scott’s ZEC Server Price Inflated By USD1Million During 2023 Elections

Dear Editor. The case of the HP server, originally costing £4297 on Amazon, being sold to ZEC for $1.26 million by Chivayo and his “team Dzvii” raises significant concerns regarding financial misconduct, ethical standards, and oversight within procurement processes. This transaction exemplifies a glaring disparity between the market value of the server and its final selling price, suggesting potential fraudulent activities or gross negligence.

Firstly, the astronomical markup from £4297 (approximately $5500) to $1.26 million is unjustifiable by any standard measure of value addition or customization. This discrepancy indicates a possible deliberate attempt to inflate prices for personal or organizational gain. Such actions can erode public trust in institutions like ZEC, which are expected to manage resources responsibly and transparently.

Secondly, the role of Chivayo and team Dzvii in this transaction deserves scrutiny. If they facilitated this sale knowing the original price, they could be liable for fraud or corruption. This case may involve bribery, kickbacks, or other unethical practices aimed at securing lucrative deals at the expense of the public interest. An investigation into their motivations and the process followed could reveal broader systemic issues within the organization or industry.

Furthermore, the oversight mechanisms in place at ZEC must be evaluated. How did a purchase with such an inflated cost pass through procurement controls without raising red flags? This suggests possible collusion or a lack of effective checks and balances within the organization. Strengthening internal controls and ensuring transparency in procurement processes are critical to preventing such occurrences in the future.

Chamisa Party Cabinet Briefing: Full Text

The CCC Shadow Cabinet Condemns Zanu PF Leadership and Calls for Inclusive Dialogue

By Dorrothy Moyo | Harare, 13 June 2024 | In a decisive meeting today, the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) inaugurated its Shadow Cabinet, chaired by the party’s Chief Administrator and leader, Senator Timba. The briefing outlined critical positions and resolutions reflective of the CCC’s stance on Zimbabwe’s political landscape.

Key Resolutions:

1. **Rejection of Zanu PF Leadership**: The CCC announced it would not subject its Members of Parliament to the leadership of the Zanu PF-appointed Leader of the Opposition, Sengezo Tshabangu. This move signifies a firm stand against Zanu PF’s influence.

2. **Autonomy in Leadership Selection**: Emphasizing adherence to Zimbabwe’s Constitution, the CCC declared its right to determine its membership and leadership independently through its Citizens National Assembly, bypassing the Speaker of Parliament and what it described as “proxies in the captured and contaminated opposition.”

3. **Call for SADC Intervention**: The Shadow Cabinet urged the upcoming SADC summit in Harare to address the alleged irregularities in the 2023 elections, referencing the SADC Observer Mission’s report.

4. **Inclusive Dialogue for Governance**: Highlighting Zimbabwe’s governance crisis, the CCC stressed the need for inclusive dialogue involving diverse stakeholders, including religious, business, labor, civic society, and political entities. They called for comprehensive reforms leading to free and fair elections, criticizing the extension of current presidential or parliamentary terms as exacerbating the national crisis.

5. **Prioritization of Essential Services**: The CCC demanded that the Zanu PF government prioritize funding for health, education, and food aid over luxury expenditures for VIPs amidst the nation’s economic struggles.

6. **Condemnation of Diplomatic Remarks**: Expressing concern over President Mnangagwa’s comments to President Putin regarding Zambia and Malawi’s sovereignty, the CCC labeled these remarks as undiplomatic and disrespectful, potentially harming regional relations.

7. **Tribute to Malawian Victims**: The meeting commenced with a minute of silence for the late Vice President of Malawi and his entourage, who tragically died in an air crash. The CCC extended its condolences to the Malawian government and its people.

Hon. Darlington Chigumbu, Shadow Minister of ICT, Courier Services, Media & Broadcasting Services, signed off the briefing, reinforcing the party’s motto: “One People, One Nation, One Vision.”

This significant session sets a proactive agenda for the CCC as it seeks to navigate and influence Zimbabwe’s complex political terrain.

Mnangagwa’s Facial Reaction Over Wicknell Audio Leaks | Opinion

By Baba Jukwa | Will Govt do something to Wicknell Chivayo? As it is difficult to paint all of events inside State House, I have put this lyrical cluster together, that includes quotes from one real life preceding event: The First Family members watched in disbelief as President Emmerson Mnangagwa listened to the leaked Wicknell Chivayo WhatsApp audio recordings. In the dimly lit presidential office, the atmosphere was tense. Mnangagwa’s usual air of unshakable confidence seemed to falter as Chivayo’s mocking words echoed from the phone.

“Did you hear that?” Mnangagwa’s son, Emmerson Jr., asked incredulously. His voice was strained with a mix of disbelief and anger. “They think they can just mock you like this?”

Beside him, First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa sat stiffly, her eyes wide with shock. “Uebert Angel, Mai Titi, and now Chivayo… they’ve turned social media into a weapon against you.”

Yet, despite the gravity of the situation, Mnangagwa’s reaction was bewilderingly nonchalant. He leaned back in his chair, a half-smile playing on his lips. “This is nothing. Just some noise,” he said, waving a dismissive hand.

“Nothing?” Emmerson Jr. echoed, his voice rising. “Uebert Angel implicated you and Mama in serious money laundering. Mai Titi’s video and pics have already damaged our reputation, and now Chivayo—”

Mnangagwa interrupted, chuckling softly though wildly. “Relax, my boy. They are just creating a circus. Do you really think they can topple me with mere words and videos?”

His levity only seemed to agitate the room further. Two other family members exchanged uneasy glances, and one senior kin stepped forward hesitantly. “Mr. President, may I remind you of the Simbarashe Marumahoko disclosures? In the clip, he said—”

“I remember,” Mnangagwa cut in, his tone still disturbingly light. “He said, ‘Mnangagwa sold the country. What kind of president is that? Don’t talk fuc**ll about Mnangagwa, he is an idiot. He is not ZANU PF. Our musangano (party) of ZANU PF has collapsed because of him.'” Mnangagwa mimicked Marumahoko’s voice, exaggerating the disdain to the point of caricature.

The room fell silent, the tension now a palpable force pressing down on everyone. Mnangagwa’s amusement in the face of such severe accusations baffled and worried his family and advisors. His wife finally spoke up, her voice trembling. “Baba, Baba, this isn’t a joke. These accusations, these recordings… they’re eroding the very foundation of your presidency.”

Mnangagwa’s eyes glinted with a peculiar mix of amusement and defiance. “Let them try,” he said with a shrug. “I’ve faced bullets and survived. Words? Words are nothing. They think they’ve taken power with their tricks, but they’ve only shown their desperation.”

His laughter filled the room, a stark contrast to the unease settling over everyone else. The First Family and close aides watched him, a mixture of worry and confusion etched on their faces. As Mnangagwa joked about the unfolding scandal, the realization dawned that perhaps, just perhaps, the president was underestimating the power of this new battlefield—social media.

And in the shadows of that laughter, a storm brewed, threatening to upend the very fabric of his rule.

Is Malema Winning In Blocking DA from Coalition Govt?

Will Julius Malema win his argument against Cyril Ramaphosa over the DA coalition inclusion matter?

EFF party during a recent rally – file copy

By Farai D Hove | “The EFF continues to be a radical, militant and revolutionary economic emancipation movement and will not compromise principle on the altar of political and opportunistic convenience.

“We remain open to a discussion, now and in the future that will result in a government that does not include the DA and FF Plus.” – Julius Malema.

Julius Malema’s stance against Cyril Ramaphosa and the inclusion of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in a coalition government rests on several key elements. To assess the probability of Malema successfully influencing the political landscape to exclude Ramaphosa and the DA from significant power, we need to consider a variety of factors, including the political dynamics in South Africa, the power of rhetoric, and the actual political influence of Malema and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

#### Factors Influencing Probability

1. **Election Results and Parliamentary Composition**
– **ANC’s Position:** The African National Congress (ANC) holds 40% of the votes, a significant portion but not a majority. This necessitates coalition-building to form a government.
– **EFF’s Position:** The EFF’s electoral strength and parliamentary representation are crucial. Their ability to sway decisions depends on their seat count relative to other parties, including the DA and smaller parties.

2. **Coalition Dynamics**
– **Coalition Building:** Coalitions are essential for governance in a fragmented parliament. The ability of the ANC or any major party to form a coalition excluding the DA depends on their negotiations with other parties.
– **EFF’s Leverage:** The EFF must have sufficient bargaining power to influence coalition terms. This depends on their seat count and the willingness of other parties to align with their radical stance.

3. **Political Influence and Public Sentiment**
– **Public Support:** Malema’s rhetoric aims to resonate with public sentiment. If a significant portion of the electorate is disillusioned with the ANC and DA, Malema’s stance gains traction.
– **Media and Public Opinion:** Media portrayal and public discourse play roles in shaping opinions and political pressure. Malema’s ability to dominate the narrative can affect coalition negotiations.

4. **Strategic Interests of Parties**
– **ANC’s Strategy:** The ANC’s approach to coalition-building, prioritizing stability, and governance over ideological purity affects the likelihood of excluding the DA.
– **DA’s Role:** The DA’s potential contribution to a coalition, in terms of votes and governance capability, could be seen as indispensable, complicating Malema’s argument.

#### Calculating the Probability

While we can’t calculate an exact numerical probability, we can outline a qualitative assessment:

– **High Probability Factors:**
– Strong public support for EFF’s anti-ANC/DA stance.
– Significant EFF parliamentary representation, giving them substantial negotiating power.
– Effective media campaign and public rallies swaying opinion.

– **Low Probability Factors:**
– Strong coalition incentives between ANC and DA for stability.
– Insufficient EFF seats to command coalition terms.
– Public perception favoring a more centrist, stable government.

#### Summary

The probability of Julius Malema successfully forcing Cyril Ramaphosa out of including the DA in the coalition hinges on the EFF’s political leverage and public sentiment. Given the EFF’s radical stance and Malema’s ability to mobilize public opinion, there is a potential, though not assured, likelihood of influencing coalition dynamics. The ultimate outcome will depend on the interplay of election results, party negotiations, and the strategic decisions of the ANC and other political actors.

Land Dispute Turns Violent: Headman’s Son Sentenced for Assaulting Elderly Gokwe Granma

Gokwe Headman’s Son Jailed for Assaulting Elderly Woman in Land Dispute

Gokwe, Zimbabwe – June 14, 2024

By Dorrothy Moyo | Boniface Masanzi, the son of a prominent headman in Gokwe, has been sentenced to an effective four months in prison after being convicted of assaulting an 80-year-old woman in a dispute over land. The incident has sparked discussions on the limits of customary authority and the protection of vulnerable members of society.

The Incident

On May 16, 2024, Masanzi (45), of Chief Nemangwe, Masanzi village, approached the homestead of Padias Ngwenya (82) at around 4 pm. According to the prosecution led by Farai Kwatireni, Masanzi, under the influence of dagga, began assaulting Ngwenya with a stick, demanding she vacate her homestead. He claimed that as the son of the headman, he had the authority to evict anyone from the land, which he asserted belonged to his father.

Ngwenya sustained significant injuries, and the State presented medical affidavits as evidence during the trial. Masanzi was convicted on his own plea of guilty when he appeared before Gokwe magistrate Grace Tupiri.

The Sentence

Magistrate Tupiri sentenced Masanzi to six months in prison, with two months suspended on condition he does not commit a similar offense within the next five years. Consequently, he will serve an effective four months in jail. This sentence reflects the court’s view on the severity of assaulting an elderly person and the unlawful use of force to settle land disputes.

Legal Context and Precedents

The case brings to light several legal issues, including the application of customary law, the role of traditional leaders, and the protection of elderly citizens. The sentencing is consistent with past judicial decisions that emphasize the gravity of assault and the need for deterrence.

Assault and Sentencing

The Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act [Chapter 9:23] criminalizes assault, and Zimbabwean courts have historically imposed sentences that reflect the seriousness of such offenses. In S v Chimbarara 1985 (2) ZLR 224 (S), the Supreme Court underscored the need for sentences that deter future offenses while considering the circumstances of the accused. Masanzi’s sentence mirrors this approach, balancing punishment with the possibility of rehabilitation.

Customary Law and Land Rights

Masanzi’s claim of eviction rights based on his father’s status as headman touches on the intricate relationship between customary law and statutory law. In Chihowa v Mangwende & Another 1987 (1) ZLR 228 (H), the High Court ruled that traditional leaders must exercise their powers within the confines of the law and cannot arbitrarily dispossess individuals of their land. This precedent clarifies that Masanzi’s actions were outside the legal bounds of his customary authority.

Protection of the Elderly

Assaulting an elderly person is a particularly serious offense. In S v Chikumba 1997 (2) ZLR 181 (H), the court imposed a severe sentence on the accused for assaulting an elderly victim, reflecting societal values that demand respect and protection for senior citizens. Magistrate Tupiri’s decision in Masanzi’s case similarly aims to uphold these values.

Medical Evidence

The role of medical evidence in assault cases is crucial, as seen in S v Madombwe 1996 (2) ZLR 291 (S), where the Supreme Court emphasized its importance in corroborating the extent of injuries. The medical affidavits presented in Masanzi’s trial substantiated the physical harm inflicted on Ngwenya, reinforcing the need for a punitive sentence.

The conviction and sentencing of Boniface Masanzi serve as a reminder of the limits of customary authority and the rule of law. It highlights the judiciary’s commitment to protecting vulnerable citizens and ensuring that traditional practices do not override legal rights. This case stands as a significant example of how Zimbabwean law seeks to balance respect for customary practices with the imperatives of justice and human rights.

Chivayo In Boiling Cauldron…

By A Correspondent

Allegations have surfaced regarding Wicknell Chivhayo’s inappropriate use of his association with President Emmerson Mnangagwa, prompting the Zimbabwean government to take a firm stance against such behavior.

Following the circulation of a leaked audio in which Wicknell Chivhayo appeared to boast about his proximity to the President, government officials have issued a stern warning against individuals who engage in name-dropping and self-aggrandizement for personal gain.

Dr. Jenfan Muswere, the Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, emphasized government’s readiness to take legal action against those who misuse the names of senior State officials.

Muswere said on Wednesday :

“The Government is sending a very stern warning to individuals with a predisposition to namedropping and braggadocio for purposes of inflating their social and political importance.

Government stands ready to institute legal action on all individuals who abuse the names of senior State officials.

Law enforcement will be deployed without partiality on all those abusing the veneer of public institutions and high ranking Government officials to give cover for their mischief. “

He added :
” Likewise, occasional interaction and proximity to high ranking officials must not be generously misconstrued as a licence for unwarranted namedropping and braggadocio.

We urge such individuals to desist from dragging names of public officials into their private business transactions and engagements.

Those implicated in such name-dropping and braggadocio must stand ready to bear the consequences awaiting them. “

Chivayo Even Ordered Govt To Appoint Own Uncle High Court Judge

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | ANALYSIS | Despite the scandal of the audio recordings involving convicted fraudster, Wicknell Chivayo, his influence and power over the state remains evident. Last week, Chivayo directed the Minister of Justice, Ziyambi Ziyambi, and the Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission, Walter Chikwana, to replace magistrate Clever Tsikwa with his uncle, Naison Chivhayo.

Naison Chivhayo, a relatively unknown figure, was quietly added to the High Court list of new judges after the garrulous nephew had instructed the Justice Minister and the JSC leadership to do so.

Additionally, the JSC secretary’s girlfriend, Faith Mushure, was promoted to a prominent position on the list of judges due for appointment. This development exposes Chivayo’s significant power over various arms of the government. He appears to dictate judicial appointments, command cabinet decisions, control the central intelligence organization (as revealed in audio recordings detailing payments to the Director General of the CIO), and exert power over the Commander in Chief of the Defense Forces, positioning himself as a de facto second head of state.

President Mnangagwa has since decided to appoint 10 High Court judges and one for the Administrative Court on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission following the public interviews of 39 candidates conducted by the Commission last month.

They will be sworn in on Monday next week by Chief Justice Luke Malaba.

The 10 new members of the High Court bench are Mrs Faith Mushure, Mr Ngoni Nduna, Mr Regis Demure, Ms Philipa Phillips, Mr Gibson Mandaza, Mr Joel Mambara, Mr Naison Chivhayo, Mrs Vvian Ndlovu, Mr Sijabuliso Siziba and Mr Mpokiseng Dube.

Mr Maxwell Kaitano is now the new Administrative Court Judge.

The JSC secretary, Mr Walter Chikwana confirmed the appointment of the judges saying the swearing in ceremony of the 11 will be held next week.

The development suggests how Chivayo has truly “dzvinya’d” – captured the entire state the same way his clique of friends, Shepherd Bushiri and Uebert Angel have (pictured) as he boasts in his leaked audio messages.

Current Regulations and Safety Challenges

The current regulations governing the operation of kombis and buses vary greatly across different regions and countries. In many cases, these regulations are outdated, inadequate, or poorly enforced, leading to a host of safety concerns. Some of the key challenges include:

  • Lack of Standardized Safety Requirements:

There is often a lack of clear and consistent safety standards for these vehicles, leading to a wide range of safety features (or lack thereof) across the fleet.

  • Inadequate Driver Training and Licensing:

Many drivers of kombis and buses may not have received proper training or hold the necessary licenses, putting passengers at risk.

  • Poor Vehicle Maintenance and Inspections:

Routine maintenance and inspections are frequently neglected, leading to mechanical failures and increased risk of accidents.

  • Overcrowding and Overloading:

Kombis and buses are often operated beyond their designed capacity, compromising passenger safety and comfort.

  • Reckless Driving Behavior:

Speeding, sudden lane changes, and other dangerous driving practices are common, putting all road users at risk.

The Need for Revamping Regulations

The current state of regulations and safety standards for kombis and buses is clearly inadequate and in urgent need of a comprehensive overhaul. The consequences of the existing challenges are far-reaching, with a high toll on human lives, economic impact, and the overall well-being of communities. It is essential that we address these issues head-on to ensure the safety and reliability of public transportation.

Proposed Changes to Ensure Safety on the Roads

Drawing inspiration from the successful examples mentioned above, as well as taking into account the unique challenges and context of our own region, we propose the following changes to the regulatory framework for kombis and buses:

1. Comprehensive Vehicle Safety Standards:

  • Mandatory installation of seatbelts, airbags, and other advanced safety features
  • Regular maintenance and inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Strict limits on vehicle age and mileage to prevent the operation of unsafe, outdated vehicles

2. Rigorous Driver Licensing and Training:

  • Specialized licensing requirements for kombi and bus drivers
  • Mandatory training programs covering defensive driving techniques, first aid, and passenger management
  • Ongoing refresher courses and regular assessments to maintain driver competency

3. Passenger Capacity and Overloading Regulations:

  • Clearly defined passenger capacity limits based on the vehicle’s design
  • Strict enforcement of these limits, with penalties for overloading
  • Monitoring and reporting systems to ensure compliance

4. Improved Enforcement and Accountability:

  • Increased presence of law enforcement and regular inspections on the roads
  • Hefty fines and penalties for non-compliance, including license revocation and vehicle impoundment
  • Transparent reporting and investigation of incidents and accidents

5. Public Education and Awareness Campaigns:

  • Informational campaigns to educate the public on the importance of safety regulations
  • Collaboration with community leaders and organizations to promote the use of safe, regulated public transportation

Benefits of Implementing Revamped Regulations

The implementation of these proposed changes to the regulatory framework for kombis and buses would bring about a multitude of benefits, both for the public and the transportation industry as a whole:

  • Improved Passenger Safety:

The comprehensive safety standards and rigorous driver training would significantly reduce the risk of accidents and injuries, providing a safer commuting experience for millions of passengers.

  • Enhanced Reliability and Efficiency:

Well-maintained vehicles, competent drivers, and better enforcement would lead to more reliable and efficient public transportation services, reducing delays and disruptions.

  • Economic Benefits:

Fewer accidents and incidents would result in reduced costs for medical care, vehicle repairs, and insurance claims, ultimately benefiting both the government and the public.

  • Environmental Sustainability:

Improved vehicle maintenance and driver behavior would contribute to reduced emissions and fuel consumption, aligning with broader sustainability goals.

  • Increased Public Trust:

The implementation of these safety measures would foster greater public confidence in the reliability and trustworthiness of public transportation, encouraging more people to choose these modes of transport.

Challenges and Potential Obstacles

While the proposed changes are essential for ensuring the safety of kombis and buses, we acknowledge that implementing these revamped regulations will not be without its challenges. Some of the potential obstacles include:

  • Financial Constraints:

The implementation of the new safety standards and training requirements may impose significant financial burdens on both transportation operators and regulatory authorities.

  • Resistance to Change:

Existing transportation providers and drivers may be reluctant to adapt to the new regulations, leading to potential pushback and resistance.

  • Enforcement Capacity:

Ensuring effective enforcement of the regulations across a vast network of transportation services may require substantial resources and coordination among various government agencies.

  • Public Acceptance:

Educating and convincing the public about the importance of these safety measures may be a gradual process, requiring sustained efforts and effective communication strategies.

Conclusion

The safety and regulation of kombis and buses are crucial issues that demand our immediate attention. The current state of affairs, characterized by outdated policies, inadequate enforcement, and persistent safety challenges, is simply unacceptable. It is time for us to take decisive action and implement a comprehensive set of revamped regulations that prioritize the well-being of passengers, drivers, and all road users.

By drawing inspiration from successful examples in other countries, and tailoring the solutions to our unique context, we can create a regulatory framework that sets new standards for safety, reliability, and sustainability in public transportation. This will not only save lives and reduce the economic burden of accidents but also foster greater public trust and encourage more people to choose these essential modes of transport.

Linda Masarira Dumps Daughter For Adulterous, Abusive Husband

By Own Correspondent- Controversial political activist Linda Masarira has dumped her daughter and reunited with her abusive husband.

Masarira, who is a victim of domestic violence, has accused her daughter of “seducing” her partner after she caught them in bed last month.

Bongani Mlotshwa (29), her husband, was, on 07 May, sentenced to 15 months imprisonment by the Epworth Magistrates’ Court for domestic violence.

Mlotshwa assaulted Masarira (41) three times in the eye with clenched fists after she had found him sleeping in her daughter’s room on 05 May.

However, the 5 months of the sentence were suspended for 5 years and a further 10 months were suspended on condition that he performs 350 hours of community service.

In a leaked WhatsApp chat, Masarira defended her husband, saying he was seduced by her daughter and failed to control himself. She said:

I am an adult 41 who is capable of making decisions for herself and her future. My daughter seduced my husband. He was tempted and failed to control himself.

He apologised akaripa pachivanhu to me and my parents. My daughter is the one who is unremorseful. Hasn’t apologised since and is bragging to the whole world that she fixed me.

I ain’t desperate at all. I put Bongani’s weaknesses on a scale and realised that he has 80% good or excellent and 20% fault.

Why should I throw away the baby and the water? It is better to deal with the faults and maintain the good.

Posting on Facebook, one Charlton Tsodzo said he was worried about his “friend”, Linda Masarira. He wrote:

1. The persistent scourge of domestic/intimate partner violence in our country …where intimate partners believe that physical violence either chastises the other party, subdues them or puts them in their rightful place during domestic disputes. So if this can happen to Linda, who leads a political party and is arguably a self-aware and empowered woman…what about the ordinary woman njee? We have an issue here to deal with folks ( in general) and men ( in particular). We can do better I think

2. I’m also worried about step-daughter/stepdad intimacy….oh this one outrages me and honestly I think stepfathers have ‘in loco parentis’ responsibility over their stepchildren… noo I don’t think it’s right for a stepfather to sleep with his stepdaughter whether akururirwa or whatever. It should just never happen, just the sickening thought of the same happening to your own daughter will tell you kuti hazviite izvi and there is no justification whatsoever. My personal view right there.

3. I’m worried about the people that Linda confides in..who after she pours out her soul about her most intimate and sensitive life details the so-called friend then packages the conversations for social media. That outraged me as well andpart of me has been wondering whether there are no questions of illegality here ipapo or violation of Linda’s personalprivacy rights with respect to the Data Protection Act

4. I can only wish my old-time friend the very best in trying to resolve or move on from this …life will never be the same again at so many levels. This must be hard and I hope whoever has an opinion on these issues also proffers constructive suggestions so that my friend can navigate and be able to move on from this with her loved ones. I am very sad for her actually.

Mnangagwa Unleashes CIO On Wicknell Chivhayo

By James Gwati- The feared Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) has initiated a probe into the illicit dealings and name-dropping antics of convicted fraudster and Zanu PF supporter Wicknell Chivhayo, ZimEye can reveal.

In a recently leaked audio, Chivhayo brazenly mentioned the Director General of the CIO as a recipient of his ill-gotten gains.

He has also publicly claimed ownership over President Emmerson Mnangagwa, boasting of his ability to manipulate government tenders in his favour.

Sources within the state security housed at Harare Central Police Station told ZimEye.com that an investigation into Chivhayo’s declarations has been launched.

“We have been instructed to interview him about all that he is claiming to be doing so that it becomes clear to the public. We believe he is being overzealous to mention those people, and we believe there is a reason he is doing this, and that’s what we want to establish,” said sources close to the investigation team.

On Thursday, the Government announced plans to crack down on individuals who exploit the names of senior officials to intimidate others and legitimise their corruption.

“The Government is sending a very stern warning to individuals with a predisposition to name-dropping and braggadocio for purposes of inflating their social and political importance. The Government stands ready to institute legal action on all individuals who abuse the names of senior State officials. Law enforcement will be deployed without partiality on all those abusing the veneer of public institutions and high-ranking Government officials to give cover for their mischief,” Information Minister Jenfan Muswere declared in a statement.

Wednesday evening, the Zanu PF Youth League rebuked Chivhayo in a strongly worded statement, condemning his “malicious, unfounded, and scandalous utterances.”

The Youth League asserted that Chivhayo’s alleged closeness to the President was a fabrication for self-aggrandisement.

This pronouncement signals the end of Chivhayo’s political immunity.

His bold claims, once a source of notoriety and perceived untouchability, now threaten to land him in jail.

Chivhayo’s downfall serves as a stark reminder that political connections, whether real or fabricated, are not a guarantee of perpetual protection.

Once a figure of high-profile meetings and lavish donations on behalf of Zanu PF, his fall from grace underscores the precarious nature of power and influence.

Chivhayo Appointed High Court Judge

By Crime and Courts Reporter- President Mnangagwa has appointed 10 High Court judges out of the 39 candidates interviewed by the Judicial Services Commission last month.

Mnangagwa has also appointed one Administrative Court Judge.

The ten new members of the High Court bench are Mr Naison Chivhayo, Mrs Faith Mushure, Mr Ngoni Nduna, Mr Regis Demure, Ms Philipa Phillips, Mr Gibson Mandaza, Mr Joel Mambara, Mrs Vvian Ndlovu, Mr Sijabuliso Siziba and Mr Mpokiseng Dube.

Maxwell Kaitano is the new Administrative Court Judge.

Controversial JSC secretary, Mr Walter Chikwana, confirmed the appointment of the judges and their swearing-in date.

Joselu To Stay At Santiago Bernabeu

According to Relevo, Real Madrid have informed Carlo Ancelotti that the club has decided to trigger Joselu’s €1.5m buy clause and he will remain at the club next season.

Joselu has accepted the rotational role. He just wants to stay at the club and help whenever he’ll be needed.

He scored 17 goals and provided 3 assist in the 2023/2024 season, 20 goals contribution. All of that, in less than 2,000 playing time.

The double within 3 minutes against Bayern to send Real Madrid to the Champions League final, is worth more than €1.5m alone.

Wicknell Chivhayo: A Story of Political Connections and Suspicion

By Shelton Muchena in England | Wicknell Chivhayo, a controversial figure in Zimbabwe, had always been known for his flamboyant lifestyle and ostentatious displays of wealth. However, it was his association with political figures from both the ruling party and the opposition that truly captured the attention of the public.

In a series of images that surfaced, Chivhayo was seen rubbing shoulders with prominent politicians, including members of the ruling party and leaders from opposing factions. These images spread like wildfire, causing widespread speculation about Chivhayo’s motives and intentions.

People began to question the nature of Chivhayo’s relationships with these politicians. Was he genuinely aligned with their ideologies, or was there a more sinister agenda at play? The public couldn’t help but wonder what Chivhayo stood to gain from his connections with such influential figures.

Various pics taken in the last 10 years

As the images circulated, eyebrows were raised, and rumors started to swirl. Some believed that Chivhayo was using his wealth and connections to gain favor with politicians, hoping to secure lucrative business deals and government contracts. Others suspected that he may be leveraging his relationships for personal gain, manipulating the political landscape to suit his own interests.

The scrutiny intensified when leaked audios emerged, tarnishing Chivhayo’s reputation even further. These recordings hinted at corruption, bribery, and shady business practices involving Chivhayo and his political associates. The public’s suspicions seemed to be confirmed, and calls for an investigation grew louder.

Authorities were urged to look into the allegations and hold Chivhayo accountable for his actions. The leaked audios suggested that he may have been using his wealth and influence to engage in illicit activities, such as bribery and fraud. The public demanded answers, seeking justice and transparency in the face of these disturbing revelations.

Chivhayo’s association with political figures had cast a dark shadow over his reputation. Many began to view him not just as a wealthy entrepreneur, but as a con man with ulterior motives. The trust that once surrounded him had evaporated, replaced by skepticism and concern.

As the investigations unfolded, the true nature of Chivhayo’s relationships and intentions would be revealed. The public waited anxiously for the truth to come to light, hoping that justice would prevail and the integrity of the political system would be restored.

In the meantime, the story of Wicknell Chivhayo served as a cautionary tale, reminding everyone of the importance of transparency, accountability, and the need to scrutinize the motives of those who seek to wield influence in the political arena. It was a stark reminder that power and wealth can be a double-edged sword, capable of both elevating and corrupting those who possess them.

Thursday: Thoughts Of Private Armies Hiding In And Out Of Zimbabwe

THURSDAY THOUGHTS-OF PRIVATE ARMIES (HYENAS)….

By Dr. Raymond Chamba | I most times dream in technicolor and with crystal clarity and today was no exception. My long dream troubled me and rocked me to my senses in great despair and anxiety. It was most definitely a warning of things possibly structured or under planning.

I dreamt that there was some leader who had fallen out of favour with his people and most importantly his protectors, people and security forces at large. While that was most predictable and logical given his legendary thieving ways, I was shocked by what he seemed to be doing or planning.

Private Armies Hiding… graphic

Great and well supplied private armies in the northern part of some eastern kingdom (some western kingdom) were gathering and prepared. South Koreans (from some church-like structure), Indians without religion or curry, some eastern european hyenas, a sprinkling of African great lakes outfits and then some others.

All were put together by great coin and the promise of more treasure. Theirs was the responsibility to step in and terrorise the locals at the first sign of insurrection. The ruler knew that he can’t count on support from the local forces who were so fed up by his hunting and gathering everything of value in the Kingdom.

What made this dream particularly scary was that an equal and opposite arrangement of forces from those opposed to the disgraceful king were also planning and ready to fight their way and save their people.

The drumbeat of war and a most bloody conflict was all too clear in my dream and so was the final celebration of endless streams of people some without limps and emaciated upon receiving news that a plane carrying the unpopular king had come down somewhere in the Eastern Highlands mountains.

I remember the usual booming and strong voice from the heavens breaking through the clouds and mist saying “we warned him from messing up with the spirits of the rivers, mountains and sacred caves…”.

“Takazvireva tikarovedzera, asi kana mhwere yapfonyera maguri munzeve yatomera chindini… yatoratidza kuzvitutumadza sehari yemuchaiwa”.

“Zvino mhepo haivharirwe panze pemba ine berevere. Ratareva haringasungirirwe pachigutswa, udzimba nehuhombarume hwemakombwe, isu vene chaivo venyika, kwete madunhurirwa omominaira nawo ayo….haungasesedze mhwere imwe inoruta, gurumwandira richitemura nekurarira nhemwa”.

“Mukanwai musinganzire mhiripiri? Hezvo tsambarafuta anga oita dzokurera nokuruta. Akasarura kuteya nzeve kumhesvamikono dzisina mano epundutso, dzaimushandisa senhovo…iye achitsenga fufuro seanodya shomhwe. Takabviromuyambira kare mwaka ikapindana…”

Hatairega mhuri ichitsonderwa muduri takatarisa. Zvaiwana ngwarati…yazvikanga nemafuta ayo”. I woke up drenched in cold sweat.

Like one who had survived epic battles and endless escapes from a committed enemy. What a dream. What a kaleidoscope of ranging and opposing wills and forces in the Kingdom of my dreamscape.

I guess and pray that it shall be well in the real world. May the force of the great verdant land of beauty, mystery and abundance be with us…

We urge such individuals to desist from dragging names of public officials into their private business transactions and engagements.

Those implicated in such name-dropping and braggadocio must stand ready to bear the consequences awaiting them. “

ED Reverses July Moyo Decision On Chief Musara

By A Correspondent| President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reversed  decision made by former Minister of Local Government July Moyo to downgrade the Musara Chieftainship to a headman.

In a letter written by the Minister of Local Government Daniel Garwe and copied to all departments including the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Masvingo Ezra Chadzamira, director local government ministry and many others, Mnangagwa said Musara must be reinstated as a chief.

Garwe said the President has nullified the downgrading and has since reinstated the Musara Chieftainship with immediate effect.

“Please be advised that His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Dr E.D Mnangagwa has nullified the decision to downgrade the Musara Chieftainship to Headmanship.

“By copy of this Minute, you are therefore advised to proceed to carry out the full statutory duties of a chief as prescribed in the Traditional Leaders Act (Chapter 29: 17),” part of the letter reads.

In 2014, the High Court ordered Boniface Musara as substantive chief for ward 32 Masvingo District, after then President Robert Mugabe through Local Government Minister Ignatious Chombo had resuscitated the Musara Chieftainship in 2013, which had been banished by the colonial regime in the 1940s.

In August 2023, the Musara Chieftainship was downgraded to headman by July Moyo under controversial circumstances. Mnangagwa has since nullified the downgrade and reinstated the chieftainship with immediate effect.

Chivayo’s Claims of “Audio-Clip” Innocence Exposed by Clear Video Evidence | BREAKING

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | Harare, Zimbabwe – Businessman Wicknell Chivayo, who yesterday (Wednesday) issued a statement categorically denying involvement in any corrupt activities regarding the 2023 election’s ballot printing, now faces significant scrutiny as video evidence has surfaced contradicting his claims. Chivayo’s statement, released in response to circulating voice messages, vehemently denied his involvement in money laundering dealings, branding the audio recordings as fake.

Chivayo said he is a law abiding citizen. In his detailed statement, Chivayo claimed, “I categorically refute, deny and dismiss with contempt, recording the voice messages in question. For the avoidance of any doubt I have never, at any material time, recorded the alleged voice messages, neither have I transmitted such to anyone.” He further asserted his integrity, stating, “I am a law-abiding citizen and businessman of international repute who upholds the highest level of integrity in all my business transactions.”

However, Chivayo’s denials have come under severe doubt following the release of a video showing him in the company of the man talked of in the audios as Chief Jose (Joseph Mhaka), a UK-convicted fraudster involved in a £1.3 million cheque scam, who is still on the run from UK law enforcement agents. The footage captures Chivayo assisting Mhaka in evading arrest, including facilitating travel on private jets. (video).

Chivayo had also emphasized in his statement, “I do not condone any corrupt practices and I thoroughly condemn any illicit, criminal or unethical conduct in both the public and private sectors.” The emergence of the video now raises serious questions about the authenticity of his denial and the veracity of his self-portrayal as a man of integrity.

………

………

………

………

Chivayo’s attempts to discredit the voice recordings as part of a malicious campaign against him, purportedly orchestrated by “two excitable individuals,” appear increasingly untenable in light of this new evidence. He had labeled the individuals as “overzealous extortionists and fraudsters” and reiterated his readiness to face any legal consequences arising from the allegations.

In the footage, Chivayo is announcing Joseph Mhaka to his followers, as “Chief J,” the same title heard in the leaked audios he has discredited.

Joseph Mhaka, is a fugitive following a high-profile bank fraud case in the UK. Mhaka, along with his accomplices Naison Mubaiwa and Paddington Muzondiwa, orchestrated a complex scheme to defraud the banking and insurance group HBOS of £1.3 million. This operation, described by Judge Kerry MacGill as “fraud on a grand scale,” involved intercepting cheque books at an HBOS branch in Leeds, depositing the cheques into bank accounts controlled by the trio, and then withdrawing the illicit gains.

Mhaka, the mastermind behind the scheme, managed to evade arrest, unlike Mubaiwa and Muzondiwa, who were sentenced to three-and-a-half years and two years in prison, respectively. The case, which came to light in 2009, shocked many and highlighted the lengths to which some individuals would go to exploit financial systems.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Mhaka had moved to the UK as a failed asylum seeker, presumably in search of a better life. However, instead of building a legitimate future, he became entangled in criminal activities. The massive fraud operation led to his conviction in absentia, and he has been on the run from British law enforcement agents ever since.

Detective Chief Superintendent Howard Crowther of West Yorkshire Police stated, “We accept the sentences passed today and hope they serve as a warning to other would-be fraudsters who think they can get away with stealing cash. We will not standby and allow people to live off ill-gotten gains at the expense of others.” The investigation into Mhaka’s whereabouts continues, with law enforcement determined to bring him to justice and recover the stolen funds.

Joseph Mhaka remains at large, on the assistance of Wicknell Chivayo.

The two briefly converse in the footage as they boast of flying provate jet, stating as follows:

Wicknell Chivayo: Inside here we don’t have this thing of saying, we are now ready for take off, so please fasten your, what? Your belt and what? This thing of being told to switch your phones is not done here.

Joseph Mhaka: LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH. Wicknell Chivayo: So we just say, Chief J, cabin crew and cross check, we are now taking off please switch off your phones and what what…

Joseph Mhaka: aaah, we are not doing the what what what!

Wicknell Chivayo: Please switch your phones off, but, our destination, we came from Harare to elsewhere in Africa.

This development casts a shadow over Chivayo’s insistence on his innocence and his previous claims that he had no influence over or involvement with government officials. It also puts into perspective his pledge for a thorough investigation by state authorities, whose findings he promised would be made public.

As the controversy deepens, the public awaits further clarification and the results of any official investigations. – ZimEye

Zanu PF Turns Back On Wicknell Chivhayo Despite Dishing Out Aquas

By A Correspondent| Zanu PF has turned its back on controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo despite his heavy investment to capture the party by donating vehicles to members.

Following the leaked audio in which Chivhayo was heard boasting of strong ties with President Emmerson Mnangagwa, all hell broke loose and party members have taken turns to denounce and warn him against for name dropping.

First to signal the fallout between Chivhayo and Zanu PF was Government spokesperson Nick Mangwana who posted on Twitter likening the controversial socialite to a character called Icarus who was warned against flying too close to the sun.

Zanu PF spokesperson Farai Marapira followed suit cautioning Chivhayo against playing with Mnangagwa’s name.

Chivhayo tried to cover his back by distancing himself from the audio recordings but the damage had already been done and it did not take long before Zanu PF Youth league issued a statement condemning the ex-convict-cum businessman.

In a statement signed by National Youth League information secretary, Phillipa Mukoko, the furious Zanu PF members said Chivayo was not a ruling party activist and as a result, he should refrain from tarnishing the image of the president.

“Whilst the Youth League appreciates donations that Mr Chivhayo has been giving to the members of our society in his own capacity as an ordinary citizen, and although we do not know the source of his income, let it be firmly known that as the vanguard of ZANU PF we will not just sit and watch the name of our most revered leader being tarnished by such malcontents for their own self-aggrandizement.

“Our President has on open-door policy which must never be abused. We have realized that Mr Wicknell Chivhayo has abused his access to the leadership. Let it be known by whoever concerned that our tried and tested leader is a statesman of the highest caliber, integrity, standing and repute. The Youth League, therefore, calls upon Mr Chivhayo and his accomplices to desist from using the name of our President in their nefarious shenanigans,” reads part of the Zanu PF Youth league.

Information minister Jenfan Muswere also issued a statement warning that legal action will be taken against anyone abusing the name of the President.

“The Government is sending a very stern warning to individuals with a predisposition to namedropping and braggadocio for purposes of inflating their social and political importance.

“(The) Government stands ready to institute legal action on all individuals who abuse the names of senior State officials,” said Muswere.

Mnangagwa Throws Chivhayo Under The Bus, Orders His Arrest

By James Gwati- The Government has announced plans to arrest individuals using senior officials’ names in their illicit dealings to intimidate people and legitimise their theft.

This announcement follows a series of audios released by controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo, who allegedly invoked President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s name to loot state resources.

These claims have gained significant traction on social media.

In a statement on Thursday, Information Minister Jenfan Muswere declared the Government’s readiness to take legal action against those who exploit the names of senior State officials.

“The Government is sending a very stern warning to individuals with a predisposition to namedropping and braggadocio for purposes of inflating their social and political importance. The Government stands ready to institute legal action on all individuals who abuse the names of senior State officials. Law enforcement will be deployed without partiality on all those abusing the veneer of public institutions and high-ranking Government officials to give cover for their mischief.”

On Wednesday evening, the Zanu PF Youth League strongly rebuked Chivhayo over the same issue.

In a strongly worded statement, the Youth League condemned Chivhayo’s “malicious, unfounded, and scandalous utterances,” asserting that his supposed closeness to the President was a fabrication for his self-aggrandisement. While acknowledging Chivhayo’s donations to society, the Youth League emphasised that his contributions did not entitle him to tarnish Zimbabwe’s revered leader’s reputation.
“While the Youth League appreciates donations that Mr. Chivhayo has been giving to the members of our society, in his own capacity as an ordinary citizen, and although we do not know the source of his income, let it be firmly known that as the vanguard of ZANU PF, we will not just sit and watch the name of our most revered leader being tarnished by such malcontents for their own self-aggrandisement,” the statement read.
The message was unambiguous: President Mnangagwa’s open-door policy, which encourages engagement with the citizenry, is not a license for abuse. Chivhayo’s actions were seen as a blatant exploitation of this policy, a transgression the Youth League is determined to curb.
“We have realised that Mr. Wicknell Chivhayo has abused his access to the leadership. Let it be known by whoever concerned that our tried and tested leader is a statesman of the highest caliber and integrity,” the Youth League asserted, signalling a significant shift in the political landscape.

This pronouncement marks the end of Chivhayo’s political immunity.

No longer protected by his claims of high-level connections, he now stands vulnerable to legal action.

The Youth League’s statement clearly indicates that the era of impunity for Chivhayo is over.

With the Youth League’s backing, authorities are expected to investigate Chivhayo’s actions thoroughly.

His claims, which once brought him notoriety and a semblance of untouchability, are now the very reasons he faces the possibility of jail.

The legal system is poised to scrutinise his every move, ensuring that justice prevails and that no one is above the law.

Chivhayo’s fall from grace serves as a stark reminder that political connections, whether real or fabricated, are not a guarantee of perpetual protection.

Chivhayo has been buying cars and donating them to celebrities on behalf of Zanu PF.

He has also appeared with President Mnangagwa at high-profile meetings, solidifying his association with the first family.

Cop Jailed For Grisly Murders

In an unprecedented turn of events, South African Police Constable Sizwe Cedrick Khoza has been handed three life sentences for the brutal murders of his wife, her sister, and her brother in Sand River Trust, Hazyview. The shocking incident took place on April 30, 2023, sending shockwaves through the local community and law enforcement agencies alike.

The trial, which has been closely followed by the media and the public, revealed the horrific details of the crimes committed by Khoza. The court heard how he meticulously planned and executed the murders, showing no remorse for his heinous acts. The bodies of the victims were found in a remote area, their deaths seemingly premeditated.

It is deeply troubling to think that a sworn officer of the law, someone entrusted with upholding justice and protecting the community, could commit such unspeakable acts of violence. The betrayal of trust felt by the residents of Hazyview and beyond is palpable, as they struggle to come to terms with the fact that one of their own could be capable of such evil.

The sentencing of Khoza to three life sentences serves as a stark reminder that no one is above the law. Justice has been served, but the scars left by this tragedy will take time to heal. The families of the victims are left to mourn their loved ones and find closure in the midst of this senseless loss.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this tragedy, it is important to remember that acts of violence like these are not representative of the majority of dedicated and honorable police officers who serve with integrity and professionalism. The actions of one individual should not tarnish the reputation of an entire force.

In the wake of this devastating news, it is crucial for law enforcement agencies to prioritize mental health support for their officers and provide resources for them to seek help when needed. The stress and trauma of the job can take a toll on even the strongest of individuals, and early intervention is key in preventing tragedies like this from occurring in the future.

The sentencing of Police Constable Sizwe Cedrick Khoza to three life sentences for the murders of his wife, her sister, and her brother is a reminder of the darkness that can lurk within the human soul. May justice be served, and may the victims rest in peace as their loved ones seek solace and healing in the days ahead.

Worriers Disappoint Again

By A Correspondent

Zimbabwe’s national soccer team, the Warriors, find themselves in the midst of a tumultuous period as they struggle to secure victories in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The recent 1-3 defeat at the hands of Bafana Bafana in South Africa adds to their woes following a humiliating 0-2 loss to Lesotho’s Crocodiles.

These consecutive defeats have not only tarnished the team’s reputation but have also ignited frustration and disappointment among devoted football enthusiasts across the nation.

The Warriors’ current campaign in the World Cup Qualifiers has been nothing short of a nightmare, with the team failing to secure a single victory.

This string of defeats has brought to light various underlying issues plaguing the team, further exacerbating their struggles on the pitch.

One significant setback for the Warriors has been the inability to secure a home ground for their matches due to political unrest.

The absence of a stable and supportive environment to host games has undoubtedly hampered the team’s performance and added an additional layer of difficulty to an already challenging situation.

Furthermore, concerns have been raised regarding the commitment of players, coaching staff, and administrative personnel associated with the national team.

Reports of internal discord, lackluster training sessions, and a general sense of disarray have sparked debates about the overall dedication and professionalism within the team.

The poor administration of the national soccer program has also come under scrutiny, with critics pointing to a lack of strategic planning, investment, and long-term vision as contributing factors to the team’s decline.

A well-structured and efficiently managed football ecosystem is crucial for nurturing talent, fostering a winning mentality, and achieving sustained success at the international level.

For Zimbabwean football enthusiasts, supporting the national team has transformed from a source of pride and unity to a source of heartache and disappointment.

The dwindling performances and lackluster displays on the pitch have left fans disillusioned and questioning the future of soccer in the country.

Despite the current challenges and setbacks, there remains hope for the Warriors to turn the tide and reclaim their former glory.

Addressing the systemic issues affecting the team will require a collective effort from stakeholders at all levels of the sport – from the Football Association to players, coaches, fans, and the broader community.

In the face of adversity, it is crucial for Zimbabwean soccer to reinvigorate its passion, recommit to excellence, and strive for positive change.

Sir Wicknel Chivhayo First Audio Transcript

Sometimes I ignore because onced I say good morning members, you are now rushing to hold a meeting and expect money from me, Mpofu is now wishing to possibly receive money like USD2million. USD3million!

I will be wanting these deals to give you like US$100,000; it keeps you going how many times have I gotten you payments?

These payments this week I am getting another one which is US$5.2 million and then we start on all the other project.

There is one for the Police and there is a new one for Immigration.

The money is your pension you don’t need to be greedy to try and claim higher.

What I said is bring new work [because] this state-entity I have captured it with my bare hands, like dzvii! Not an imagination.

When he went to Italy, I was to the airport and he held my hands and said my son escorted me to the jets doors and I walked him over there once we got to the plane’s door after he had finished greeting the two vice president he returned to me and waved at me and said I will call you when I get to Italy my son.

So I am telling you that I am right inside, and I’m telling you to take advantage of that.

Don’t try and eat in what I have done myself or what caused us problems in the past, Eat it, my friend.

How can you cry?

You’re saying you want school fees money?

Yesterday I bought watches worth 2.2 million rands.

I will send you the video right now, 2.2 million South African rands; But you cry about school fees.

So now let me tell you my friend you fell out with your boss (murungu).

But if the murungu has accepted us back, let’s get whatever is there to keep you going.

Because what is difficult for us business people is running costs: you want to go there where you leave US$2000.

Your small house is troubling you, and you leave US$1000.

At home today is the 1st of the month, your wife is troubling you, the bills have piled up and you leave US$5000 and say here is the money.

The school fees let’s say it is US$10,000 or US$20,000. It is nothing!, pay, pay, pay: You are finished.

Your truck business, Mpofu, maybe things are not working well but then pops up this passive income that keeps you going.

That’s what I thought.

I said fine let me reconnect with these guys.

Because I could easily strike a new deal and we have a large lump sum of money, that will suffocate you; right now right now there is a drought- we will just create a structure and all of a sudden we are now recognized as people who are supplying the whole country with grain, and we just throw in the application and it is said that the grain is being supplied by a company called Militech, it is the one that is supplying all the grain.

It is the one that has won the contract.

Whom!, advance payment: and we are all of a sudden now starting to function.

And by the way, our technique is that of advance payments, we are trusted are you forgetting, that we are the boss’ children? Do you see now?

So I need a team like that.

Yes, I’ve got my own projects.

I have so many projects that I am chasing, but, I need a team like you that we can share ideas together, to say this we are hitting it this way and then then that one we are hitting it that way;

Yes, it is my project alone but the payments you will get them, when you have your people over there, I will give you money for some drinks, oh no guys here is US$50,000 take it for now;

Oh no here is US$100,000, we want to go for holiday to go to South Africa and then we say we go there next week;

I even told Victor my boys I am now agreeing with them, they even came here angry saying “we want our cars back!,” they said.

They even came and they were angry while with Mike [Chimombe], and said talk to your boss (your murungu), Talk to your boss talk to your boss!

But then now I lose all strength and say these people oh God, you know I did not want to walk away from them, without creating their US$10 million, for each person.

And now look at them and understand that the levels have shifted from [or since] election time I am now 10 times higher than I was then if not [20 times].

So the levels have shifted so you have been left behind if only you had traveled with me, step-by-step we would be here all of us so you have to give it time, then isn’t it?

Be patient then;

Let us wait for another three months let us get closer what has been given as it is okay let us keep quiet.

Keep silent while we wait for another job, hovering around for another government ministry project.

I just thought let me say good morning it is food for thought, there is no one I am insulting, have a good day.
