Susan Mutami Mocks Linda Masarira Over Hubby Re-union

By A Correspondent| Australia based socialite Susan Mutami has mocked LEAD President Linda Masarira over her decision to forgive her husband despite catching him in bed with her daughter.

Posting on Twitter, Mutami who caused so much controversy when she went live on Twitter, narrating how she was sexually abused by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, said maybe the reason why Masarira had to forgive the husband could be linked to the sexual satisfaction she is getting from him.

“Nyaya yakadai inonetsa Kana murume wamambokadzi akatakura zvombo zvehondo zvinoshanda uye zvisingangowanikwe pese pese nokuti Haisi nyore kuwana makanika anogona kugadzira mota yakaita breakdown kwemakore achiimutsa kunge itsva. Kungoti hamuzvinzwisise henyu asi Zvinowanikwa mukurarama, panonaka panonetsa kusiya. Unofirapo,” said Mutami

Masarira reportedly forgave her husband while accusing her daughter of seducing him.

More People Demanding To See Mnangagwa At His House: WHAT IS HAPPENING?

By Crime and Courts Reporter- Two men appeared in court after being arrested for bulldozing their way into the State House, demanding to see President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The incident has heightened coup fears and raised questions about security at the presidential residence.

Felix Togaraseyi Magureyi, 40, one of the men arrested last month, claimed he was Mnangagwa’s father.

Magureyi was apprehended on the spot, and police recovered a pistol magazine, a toy firearm, and a sjambok among other possessions.

The second man, Michael Kunyeya, 29, appeared before a Harare Magistrate facing charges of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.

On May 22, 2024, Kunyeya, driving an unregistered Toyota Fortuner, attempted to enter the State House to discuss personal problems with the President.

A search of his vehicle revealed a sachet of cocaine and nine empty sachets with cocaine residue. Kunyeya, who has been seen in various photos with Mnangagwa and the Mugabe brothers, was denied bail and is scheduled to return to court on June 12.

Magureyi’s arrest followed an incident on May 7, when he allegedly forced his way into the State House.

Arriving in a Toyota Hilux Raider, Magureyi parked at the visitor’s entrance and began dancing in front of a police officer stationed there. Claiming he was the President’s father, he demanded to see Mnangagwa before forcing his way into the yard.

A subsequent search of Magureyi’s vehicle uncovered a pistol magazine, four rounds of ammunition, a hand-held Boafeng communication radio, a burnt bulb extract, a bunch of keys, a sjambok, and a toy firearm.

The incidents have sparked concern over the security protocols at the State House and the potential threats to President Mnangagwa’s safety.

Ramaphosa Warned Against Spitting On Graves Of Struggle Heroes

African National Congress (ANC) heavyweight and national executive committee (NEC) member Lindiwe Sisulu has slammed talks of an ANC-DA coalition, saying such a coalition would be spitting on the graves of fallen Struggle heroes.

Sisulu joins a plethora of voices with stand against clandestine discussions between the DA and President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Sources in the ANC have revealed that Ramaphosa was considering a “soft coalition” with the DA. The partnership would see the DA take up strategic positions in government and in the legislatures.

The governing party, the ANC, scored 40.18% at the polls, the lowest results in 30 years of democracy.

The DA achieved 21.80%, while former president Jacob Zuma’s newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) scored 17.4%. Since the ANC did not meet the 50% threshold required for an outright majority, it would need a coalition partner in order to govern.
More on this

Speaking to Independent Media, on Monday, Sisulu said a coalition with the DA would be catastrophic for all the efforts made to transform the country.

“Firstly this looming disaster, if the ANC would ever partner with the DA, could’ve been avoided has the IEC (Electoral Commission of SA) done its work properly. I was instrumental in setting up the IEC because I was deputy minister of Home Affairs at the time when Buthelezi was minister of Home Affairs. I ended up signing a lot of the legislation which saw the IEC did its work properly.

“I would think that after 30 years the commission would be able to run a fair and transparent election. Since 26 parties complained about the counting and the results, the IEC for its own credibility should’ve issued a recount. That has brought us to this.

“In all the time I spent in prison fighting apartheid, I did not do it for the DA. The DA is the epitome of what the previous government represents. The idea that black parties cannot govern is very racist. It is an insult for people who oppressed us and who threw us in jail for fighting for justice to tell that we can’t govern.

“The president of the ANC cannot enter a coalition with any party without the NEC’s approval. He is president of the country because of the ANC voters. He will not throw those votes away. I hear the discussions in the media and in some quarters of society saying that it will be good for the country and good for capital if the ANC went into bed with the DA, well those the talks of capital. I know that the president has friends in capital, but capital doesn’t decide internal ANC matters. If it does then perhaps I’m in the wrong party” Sisulu said.

Asked if she supports an ANC-MK coalition, Sisulu said she doesn’t blame many of the soldiers that she trained with in the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) camp who later left the ANC.

“I was trained in MK. When we were in the camps I used to imagine that one day we’d come home dressed in our uniform and land at the airport to the salute of our people. But when we landed, the MK soldiers were starved. They were not taken care of, but other people, who came out of nowhere were the ones giving us orders.

“Today those people are at the top seats in our movement. The MK soldiers and comrades are our comrades. We must lead the ANC back to glory. I never thought I’d see the day when our very movement takes orders from Stellenbosch,” Sisulu said.

Hon. Murisi Zwizwai: Sleep Well Freedom Fighter!

By Dr.Phillan Zamchiya

Dear Reader,

Death is a villainous coward. It visited us in the family in the wee hours of the 1st of June 2024. Reader, as we slept, it robbed us of a family man, Morgan Tsvangirai (Save)’s treasure, a man of craft competencies, a gentle giant, a trusted loyal friend to many, a political negotiator, a pillar of the democratic struggle, a gifted humorous organizer, a loving and humble cadre and a freedom fighter. Once death strikes there is nothing you can do. Whether you are a high-flying scientist from Mars, death humbles you. Only Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth conquered death. For us, made of flesh, dust we are and to dust we shall return. This was the reality as Honourable Murisi Zwizwai, an opposition politician, was finally buried at Glen Forest cemetery in Harare today the 4th of June 2024. Zwizwai was a mere 54 years old. Well, it is God’s choice and no appeal.

At this somber hour, I hear whispers and shrills trying to demonize Zwizwai, even in his death. Reader, remember we are only on earth temporarily. So, there is no need to flog a dead man. After all, none of us is without sin. You are only fortunate to be roaming the corridors of life. So, run your race, and wish the dead well. That is how we create a better world and prepare for eternity. Our African ubuntu does not allow such callousness over a dead body, especially over political differences whether real or perceived. Well, Zwizwai is gone. He cannot answer you. He is with his God. It seems the freedom fighters who saw it all, love and honour him still. That is why Advocate Nelson Chamisa, Tendai Biti, Sesel Zvidzai, Chalton Hwende, Lynette Karenyi-Kore, and many others were at his funeral to honor his heroic contribution to the struggle for democratic change in Zimbabwe.

Reader, Zwizwai was a true and loyal friend to Tsvangirai till the very end. A man of service and sacrifice. Very few people would know that Tsvangirai was a lonely man after losing power in 2013 and as cancer took its toll. I often went to Tsvangirai’s residence at 49 Kew Drive, Highlands in Harare, and found the old man in the gardens by himself. At times, Tsvangirai did not even have airtime or fuel to travel around and mobilize the political base. One of the people he could rely on was none other than Zwizwai. I remember Zwizwai giving Tsvangirai his car so that political mobilization for democratic change would not stop. When Tsvangirai’s medical bills became so astronomical, Zwizwai negotiated with the government to pay out Tsvangirai’s pension as former Prime Minister. He was not only a loyal friend but a brilliant negotiator who was always unassuming and calm but deadly in effectiveness. Reader, Zwizwai was loyal to Save even in the last days. We sat in many closed-door meetings together. I once spotted Zwizwai at an MDC Alliance rally in Mutare on 29 January 2018 wearing a white beard that he said ‘belonged to Tsvangirai’. It was an expression of loyalty to Save who was in the hospital battling cancer.

Zwizwai was also a trusted and loyal friend to many. Tsvangirai and Chamisa trusted him with sensitive political assignments that required a person of valor and exceptional negotiating skills. Zwizwai carried these assignments to the best of his ability sometimes risking his life. Reader, I have recently contacted several cadres from different factions of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC). There was consensus that Zwizwai was a comrade with a good heart. I also read several obituaries even from far-away lands and the rhythm is the same. To me, this is a hallmark of a comrade. Sadly, in his last days, Zwizwai could not get as much as he gave to others. Perhaps his ultimate reward is with the Lord. However, there were many like Chalton Hwende who stood with him to the very end.

Reader, Zwizwai was a gifted organizer who used political humor to galvanise the Movement Democratic Change (MDC)’s social base for real change. I remember very well how he used to animate the crowds during the MDC election campaigns. As Senator Sesel Zvidzai said, ‘he was also a great speaker who mastered the effectiveness of figurative expression’. Zwizwai coined the slogans: ‘Todhla huchi na Tsvangirai’ (Honey time with Tsvangirai) and ‘Todhla huchi na Chamisa’ (Honey time with Chamisa) earning him the nickname Huchi (Honey). Mudhara Huchi’s famous slogan still reverberates in the minds of many, like yesterday. He would bellow: ‘Mugabe hambaaaaah, Tsvangirai Yaaah!’ to the delight of the crowd. He would then descend into a ‘Hambaaah, Yaaah, Hambaaah, Yaaah’ chorus with the crowds magnetically chanting along. I remember the inaugural MDC Alliance rally held at the Zimbabwe Grounds in the Highfields suburb of Harare on 5 August 2017. Reader, just after ZANU Ndonga delivered its message, Zwizwai stepped on the stage with his ‘Hambaaah, Yaaah’ chorus to wild cheers from the masses. Mudhara Huchi was organically linked. After the rally, I stopped at Club Joy in Highfields to buy Sadza Nenyama. To my surprise, the young revelers were still in a frenzy shouting ‘Hambaaah, Yahhh, Hambaaah, Yaaah’ with their brown bottles. That was impact. Ooh reader, at the same event, Zwizwai was so humorous. He even made the crowd recite the folktale: ‘The House that Jack Built’. It was a reference to the Alliance that Tsvangirai built.

Reader, Zwizwai had two types of crafts. He had both craft competency and craft literacy skills. He demonstrated this when he was a Member of Parliament for Harare Central from 2003 to 2020 [he was recalled by the MDC led by Dr Thokozani Khupe] and from 2022 to 2023. He was then appointed Senator in 2024 by Prof Welshman Ncube-led CCC formation but had no time to demonstrate his capabilities, as death knocked. This decision was largely unpopular with the grassroots opposition supporters. The circumstances are still to be told and the politics behind the politics is still to fully manifest. We shall hear. Reader, during the inclusive government from 2009-2013, Zwizwai exhibited his competencies as the Deputy Minister of Information when he pushed for media reforms and as Deputy Minister of Mines where he fought for the demilitarisation of diamond mining fields. Even the usually acerbic George Charamba, the spokesperson of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, ate humble pie and conceded that Zwizwai was ‘an excellent Deputy Minister of Information and Publicity under GNU, and during my time at the Ministry. We worked very well, even as we belonged to different parties’.

The opposition has lost a good and exemplary political competitor who accepted defeat gracefully. When Zwizwai lost the CCC primary election to represent Harare Central constituency in the 2023 general election, I asked him how he felt. He had some complaints about the process but he graciously accepted the result and wished the winner, Hon Lovemore Jimu, well. That is why Jimu felt it easy to attend Zwizwai’s funeral in Waterfalls. In some constituencies, competitors are sworn enemies. I also reached out to Hon. Gladys Hlatywayo who participated in the same primary election and she described Zwizwai as ‘an extremely good human being’.

Reader, Zwizwai was an extraordinary man of great love, generosity, and hospitality. He made his floral business space in Kensington, Harare a comfortable home for comrades from all walks of life. The place became known as ‘kumaruva’ in the local lexicon. Comrades like Hon. Chalton Hwende, Maureen Kademaunga, Happymore Chidziva, Wellington Chikombo, Tererai Obey Sithole, Jacob Mafume to mention a few, and others from as far as Mutoko would gather here under the sun, the moon and stars. As a gentle giant, Mudhara Huchi would prepare sadza, musoro wemombe, mabhonzo, mazondo, matumbu, and maguru for his guests. Of course, the delicacy meals were accompanied by fine whiskey and beers for comrades to refresh and discuss contemporary political issues. I now hear that when Chamisa took over power after Tsvangirai’s demise in 2018 most of the strategies were crafted here at Maruva, dear reader. Some comrades would leave with nice perfume gifts from Mudhara Huchi.

Whenever I met Huchi, his first question was, ‘Dr mauya nehuchi ere?’ (Dr have you brought fine whisky?). We would then laugh. I have always argued that fine whisky and apples are good for the brain. Reader, ‘maruva’ became home for many comrades. It is Chinua Achebe who said. ‘A man who calls his kinsmen to a feast does not do so to save them from starving. They all have food in their own homes. When we gather together in the moonlit village ground it is not because of the moon. Every man can see it in his own compound. We come together because it is good for kinsmen to do so’. For Mudhara Zwizwai, it was good for comrades to do so. Wherever he is, he would still love comrades to do so. Reader, it is good for comrades to have honey time. Now that Zwizwai is gone, I wonder who else can provide a home for comrades as ‘kinsmen’.

Go well, Mudhara Huchi. Go well freedom fighter. There is nothing we can do, for we are made of flesh. Your time of departure was at hand. Take pride in that you fought the good fight. You have finished your race. You have kept your faith. Reader, we tremble because we are still to finish our race. But to dust we shall also return, but at least Zwizwai returns with a legacy.

Lessons From SA…

Adios Azania.

Have spent a week in South Africa observing what will go down in history as a transparent, free, and fair electoral process.

The IEC demonstrated not just the capacity to conduct a free and fair process but also the ability to effectively use technology to both for the process and for keeping the public timeously informed.

We started with attending a pre-election conference where the electoral body hosted electoral experts, national commissions and acamedics from all over the world.

They clearly had nothing to hide:

Political parties campaigned freely.

No politically motivated arrests, no banning of rallies:

A timely and accurate breakdown and communication of the results in real-time.

An election is about respecting the will of the people.

South Africans have confidence in their systems- those in charge hold public office with the utmost humility and professionalism.

Congratulations Azania- a good milestone on her 30 years of democratic self determination.

A 62-year-old man from Chimanimani has been arrested in connection with multiple cases of rape and murder.

Police have confirmed the arrest of 62-year-old Daniel Chauke of Derera village under Chief Ngorima, who is facing three counts of murder and rape as well as nine other separate rape charges.

Chauke, who was on the police wanted list for suspected stock theft, was arrested on the 27th of last month in Usanga suburb of Chipinge after a tip off.

Circumstances are that on the 26th of last month, Chauke allegedly raped and murdered a 45-year-old Celia Maponese of Chipinge who was on her way to attend a family function in Mabheka area.

Police reportedly found the suspect in possession of the deceased’s mobile phone.

Chauke is also linked to several other rape cases which are being investigated.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) National Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed Chauke’s arrest.

While Chauke will have his day in court, there is a sense of relief among residents of Chipinge who have been living fear.

“We are now living in fear of the unknown especially us as women given that we are the ones who moves at,” said a Chipinge resident.

“As you know our buses leave town as early as 2 am and now with the rife in rape cases it’s no longer safe to travel. We call upon the judiciary services to impose extra harsh penalties to those found guilty of rape and murder so that it serve as a warning to other on how bad crime is,” said another.

The suspect is in police custody and expected to appear in court soon.

Tshabangu Vows To Silence Mnangagwa Critics

By A Correspondent

In a recent and surprising declaration, Senator Sengezo Tshabangu, the self-appointed interim Secretary General of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has openly pledged his allegiance to Zanu PF, the ruling party in Zimbabwe.

Tshabangu’s stance has raised eyebrows within the political sphere, especially among opposition members who viewed the CCC as a critical counterbalance to the ruling party’s influence.

In a bold statement, Tshabangu did not shy away from expressing his intention to suppress any form of dissent within the ranks.

“It must be very clearly heard that during my tenure as the Government’s contact person in both the lower and upper house of Parliament (opposition), I’ll not tolerate any element of disunity, divisiveness, and lack of tolerance,” Tshabangu declared.

His remarks suggest a hardline approach to maintaining order and cohesion within the CCC, aligning it more closely with the ethos of Zanu PF.

Tshabangu’s rhetoric highlights a shift in his political alignment and signals a potential crackdown on critics of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“I’ll foster a development-mindedness throughout,” Tshabangu added, emphasizing his commitment to progress and stability, albeit through stringent measures against what he perceives as rebellious elements.

This development has sparked concern among opposition supporters and political analysts who fear that Tshabangu’s alignment with Zanu PF could undermine the CCC’s ability to effectively challenge the ruling party’s policies and actions.

The CCC was initially formed to provide a unified front against Zanu PF’s long-standing dominance, but Tshabangu’s recent declarations may signal a fracturing of that unity.

As Tshabangu steps into his role as the government’s contact person in Parliament, the political landscape in Zimbabwe may see significant shifts.

His pledge to eliminate disunity and divisiveness suggests a no-nonsense approach that could stifle dissent within the opposition and align it more closely with the ruling party’s agenda.

The implications of Tshabangu’s threats to deal with critics of Mnangagwa are profound.

If his words translate into action, the CCC may face internal purges and a potential loss of its critical voice against Zanu PF.

The coming months will reveal whether Tshabangu’s tough stance will indeed foster development and unity or whether it will erode the democratic fabric of the opposition, further entrenching Zanu PF’s power in Zimbabwe.

Murder Accused Man Arrested

By Farai D Hove| Harare, Zimbabwe – In a significant breakthrough, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of Daniel Chauke (62) in connection with a series of heinous crimes, including multiple murders, rapes, and a case of stock theft, which occurred in Chipinge and Chimanimani between April 2022 and May 26, 2024.

Chauke was apprehended on May 27, 2024, following an investigation into a stock theft case and was subsequently brought to the ZRP Chipinge. During a search conducted by detectives, various incriminating items were recovered, including ladies’ clothing, a cellphone, and a machete, all hidden in a sack and bag. These items matched the description of goods stolen during a recent violent crime.

On May 26, 2024, Cylia Maponese (45) was found murdered in a bushy area along Usanga-Bangazani Road, Chipinge. The recovered items from Chauke’s possession were linked to this crime scene. Under interrogation, Chauke admitted to raping Maponese before killing her and stealing her belongings, including a cellphone, various ladies’ clothes, and US$10.00 in cash.

Further investigations have connected Chauke to another brutal murder on October 21, 2023, where a 54-year-old woman was raped and killed in Chikwanda Village, Usanga location, Chipinge. He is also implicated in the rape and murder of a 32-year-old woman on April 24, 2024, in Matakanyi Village, Chimanimani.

Chauke is additionally clearing seven other rape cases that took place between April 3, 2022, and April 5, 2024, in Chipinge, highlighting the extensive nature of his criminal activities.

Cops Assaulted

Harare, Zimbabwe – In a brazen assault of a grade between street vendors and municipal authorities, two vendors have been brought before a Harare magistrate after attacking municipal police officers in the city’s Central Business District (CBD). The violent incident occurred during a police operation aimed at apprehending illegal vendors operating on the streets.

The two vendors, identified as Derreck Nyeke and Kelvin Chikono, had initially set up their stalls on the pavements along Cameron Street, near the Flyover. As municipal police began confiscating goods from these unauthorized vending sites, chaos erupted. Vendors scattered with their belongings but soon regrouped, launching a retaliatory attack on the officers.

In the ensuing altercation, a police Hino lorry, registration number AAE 8352, sustained damage to its quarter glass, highlighting the intensity of the clash. Despite the pandemonium, law enforcement managed to apprehend Nyeke and Chikono. Other participants in the assault fled the scene and remain at large.

Court testimony revealed the extent of the confrontation, with municipal police officers facing considerable resistance while carrying out their duties. The assault on law enforcement officers marks a significant escalation in the ongoing struggle to regulate informal trade within Harare’s central business district.

Nyeke and Chikono have been remanded in custody pending further proceedings, as the legal process takes its course. The incident has sparked a debate about the challenges faced by municipal authorities in enforcing regulations amidst the thriving informal trade sector.

As Harare continues to grapple with these issues, the assault on police officers serves as a stark reminder of the volatile environment in which these operations take place. The city’s efforts to manage illegal vending must now contend with the potential for violent resistance, raising questions about the future approach to such enforcement actions.

Chamisa Shows Statesmanship

By Political Reporter- The country’s leading opposition figure, Nelson Chamisa, showcased exemplary statesmanship by attending two funerals of senior members of his former party in a single day.

On Monday, Chamisa paid his respects at the funeral of the Opposition Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) Senator, Murisi Zwizwai.

Zwizwai, the former Harare Central MP, was a long-serving opposition legislator and a committed democrat, according to Chamisa.

The veteran politician passed away on Saturday morning.
Following this, Chamisa mourned the death of William Zambezi, a dedicated social media campaigner known for his relentless advocacy for change in Zimbabwe.

Despite holding no official title, Zambezi was celebrated for his impactful online presence and his unwavering commitment to a better future for the country.

In a heartfelt message shared on X, Chamisa acknowledged Zambezi’s contributions: “I recently learned of the passing of @williamzambezi, a true Citizens’ hero.

Despite holding no title or position, William was clear in his purpose and played his part diligently. Although I never had the chance to meet him, his impactful contributions, especially on social media, were known to me.”
Chamisa took the initiative to visit Zambezi’s family in Chitungwiza, facilitated by local CCC leaders. Reflecting on the visit, Chamisa expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received and the family’s steadfast faith, which he found both humbling and inspiring. “Thanks to the assistance of Chitungwiza Citizens leaders, I located his home to pay my respects and offer condolences to his family. Their warm reception and unwavering faith left me humbled and inspired,” Chamisa wrote.
During this moment of loss, Chamisa highlighted the inevitable nature of death and the importance of preparing for it. He praised Zambezi for sowing the seeds of change during his brief life, underscoring the significant impact one individual can have on the collective effort for a better Zimbabwe. “While death is a painful inevitability, it also serves as a reminder for us to prepare for its certainty. In his brief life, William sowed the seeds for a better Zimbabwe, staunchly advocating for change in his own way.”
Chamisa concluded his tribute by extending his condolences to Zambezi’s young family, assuring them of continued support from the CCC community. “May his soul rest in peace as we continue to stand with the young family he left behind. RIP Citizens Hero.”

The most important part of this political-spiritual capture program remains the compromise of the last great lion of ancestral music and power gateway, the indomitable Thomas Mapfumo who used to connect fighters and the population to the last revolutionary thrust-Second Chimurenga. Mapfumo in his wisdom has resisted such sissy-boy overtures.

The East Africa visits (Guruuswa), Nyanga, Chipinge, Binga, Victoria falls galas were a structured attempt at spiritual capture of the essence of Munhumutapa. To our defence, there is massive resistance from the frenetic efforts of these marine spirit led shenanigans. They will all come down, humiliated, discarded and destroyed.

The naked state capture has reached dizzying levels and knows no boundaries. The hypnotic spiritual capture of this nation and region will not succeed as our people are experiencing a great spiritual and political awakening.

Dr Raymond Chamba

These imposters without natural and mass spiritual mandate to rule will not succeed. A cataclysm of resistance shall soon pervade the lands and wreak havoc in the pathways of political pimps, financial shysters, drug pushers and users writ large.

Things have fallen apart and the pretend centre cannot hold. When all anyone has is their Rasputin and drug dealer it shows that noone can countenance BS anymore.

Mnangagwa Arranges To Train Madagascar President Pothole-Technique of Farming, Will The Island Survive ED’s Chaotic Pits?

By Climate Reporter | ZimEye | At a time potholes have destroyed both Zimbabwe’s soil, roads, school buildings, and clinics, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arranged to train the President of Madagascar his pothole method of farming.

The technique which is the so called, Pfumvudza involves digging idle pits meant to grow plants without any further work. While it is novel, the way Mnangagwa’s administration has executed it has left the nation’s arable landscape struggling under chaotic mismanagement.

The disrespect for infrastructural integrity has permeated into mining operations where korokozas are on a rampage in city and road areas causing infrastructural collapse, such that the total loss is estimated into billions of dollars.

Despite these realities, Mnangagwa has gone ahead to arrange flying Madagascar’s head of state into Zimbabwe.

ZANU PF announces saying – On the Korea-Africa Summit sidelines: H.E. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa had discussed “climate change resilience building strategies with H.E. President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar. Madagascar will be sending a delegation to Zimbabwe to learn about Pfumbvudza.”

DO YOU THINK MADAGASCAR WILL SURVIVE MNNAGAGWA’s PITS?

Coup Fears At State House As Men Bulldoze & Demand To See Mnangagwa

Tshabangu Threatens to Deal with Mnangagwa Critics

The LEAD party leader was recently assaulted by her husband resulting in her sustaining a red eye following an altercation over the issue.

Posting on X, her counsellor, Dr Gugulethu Ncube announced disgust that Masarira had reconciled with someone who went intimate with her daughter.

Dr Ncube posted chats she had with Masarira who told her that she had ironed out issues with Bongani.

How are you? We spoke about things and ironed out certain issues,” said Linda in response to a question if she was OK.

She justified herself saying she was an adult capable of making own decisions about her future.

“I am an adult 41 who is capable of making decisions for herself and her future. My daughter seduced my husband. He was tempted and failed to control himself. He apologized akaripa pachivanhu to me and my parents. My daughter is the one who is unremorseful. Hasn’t apologized since and is bragging to the whole world that she fixed me. I ain’t desperate at all. I put Bongani’s weaknesses on a scale and realised that he wad 80% good or excellent and 20% fault. Why should I throw away the baby and the water. It is better to deal with the faults and maintain the good,” added Masarira.

Meanwhile, Linda has expressed disappointment with Gugu for taking their private conversation to social media.

“Like seriously Gugu? You take screenshots of our chats to X? I am disappointed with you,” said Masarira.

He is also the Presidential Envoy and Ambassador At Large for the country of Zimbabwe to Europe and the Americas.[8][9] He is commonly referred to as Prophet Angel[10]and also formerly known as Uebert Angel Mudzanire.[11][12][13][14] The church was founded in 2007 as “Spirit Embassy” and in October 2015 it rebranded its name to “Good News Church”, retaining “Spirit Embassy” as a term for Angel’s overall ministry.[15][16]

Described as “a young charismatic prophet”, Angel travels by helicopter to preach the message that God wants his flock to be rich, as rich as he is.[17]

He is also the founder of The Angel Organisation which is the parent company for his other business interests.[18]

Angel has been critiqued for advocating prosperity theology through his sermons, teachings and writings, or the prosperity gospel, a pseudo-theological belief that the reward of financial and material gain is the divine will of God for all pious Christians.

He has also had multiple controversies surrounding his ministry and charities[19][20][21][22] and has had warrants issued against him.[23][24] He has been accused of financial fraud and sexual misconduct.[25][26] In 2023 he was found running a money laundering scheme by abusing his diplomatic privileges.[27] Angel’s former congregants have accused him of rape and sexual assault.[28] In 2013 his name was included on a list of people who bought fake degrees from an online degree mill.

Life and career

Angel was born and grew up in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. He later moved to Manchester, England, where he founded the Spirit Embassy ministry in 2007.[29] In October 2015 it re-branded its name to the “Good News Church” (sometimes referred to as “Spirit Embassy Good News Church”).[16][30] The church ministry attracted numerous followers and there are currently 70 branches in over 15 different countries in Europe, Africa and the US. Angel has also launched Miracle TV and Good News TV where he carries out regular speaking engagements and broadcasts programs on behalf of the Good News Church.[31] He is also the founder and president of Osborn Institute of Theology, an online Bible school which was launched in August 2012.[32] Angel has two financial degrees one post-graduate degree in education from University of Bolton and a Masters in Entrepreneurship from the University of Edinburgh.[33]

Ambassadorial Role

In March 2021 Angel was appointed as the nation of Zimbabwe’s Ambassador at Large and Presidential Envoy by Zimbabwean president H.E. President Emmerson Mnangagwa.[34] The ambassadorial role came with the responsibility for Angel to seek trade and investment opportunities for the country of Zimbabwe.[33]Since being appointed Angel has embarked on a number of projects.[35]

Business activities

Angel started his career in 2005 as a businessman when he founded Club Millionaire Limited, providing concierge services in Britain.[36] He entered the real estate business developing residential properties and later moved to commercial establishments, land and building acquisition, as well as buying and selling of properties. In 2006 he made his first property sale, and in 2008 he founded Sam Barkeley Construction and The Angel Organisation, the parent company for his business interests, of which he currently is CEO.[37] He also runs other business enterprises under the parent company, including Brits Bank and Atom Mobile.[38] He is also the founder of The Millionaire Academy, whose stated purpose is to instruct individuals how to become successful entrepreneurs and run businesses of their own.[39]

In 2014, a Radio Station in Zimbabwe claimed to have access to an “unedited Forbes Magazine story” detailing Uebert Angel’s wealth.[36] A later article at ZimEye.net reported these claims to be false, it also was highly critical of his business practices.[40] Angel is involved in a number of commercial real estate projects including the transformation of an old West Midlands Cinema and nightclub into a theatre style events centre.[41] Another UK project is the building of Angel’s office headquarters in Lincolnshire, East Midlands.[42]

Humanitarian activities

Angel and his wife Beverly Angel have both been involved in charity work since the launch of his church in 2007. He helps poor families in Africa and Asia by providing monthly groceries and paying tuition fees of children thorough his “Adopt a Family” scheme.[43] In November 2015, he founded Uebert Angel Foundation with his wife which helps poor students by providing scholarships, and tuition fees for education.[44][45] He is also founder of Free Earth Humanitarian Organisation which works to ensure that underprivileged people have their basic needs for living met.[39] In January 2020 the Angels paid school fees for an entire school of 797 students at Kadyamadare Primary School in the Chikwaka Communal Lands in Zimbabwe. This was done again through Uebert Angel’s charity arm the Uebert Angel Foundation (UAF). The foundation followed this up in February when they did the same for 1026 students at Bota Primary School in Masvingo, paying their school fees including levies – for the whole year.[46]

During the COVID-19 pandemic the Uebert Angel Foundation (UAF) executed a number of charitable projects which started with $15,000 in mealie meal to feed vulnerable families in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.[47] That was followed one month later when UAF donated bags of mealie meal and cooking oil to vulnerable members of his 5000 strong branch of Spirit Embassy: GoodNews Church in Harare, Zimbabwe.[48]

Controversies and scams

Identity

Angel’s true identity has been subject of debate. A Zimbabwean newspaper revealed that he uses two national identification cards with different birthdays. The same paper also revealed that his British Passport uses a different birthday to the one submitted when registering companies.[49]

Collapsed business

Angel has launched several businesses which have never taken off. Out of 20 companies opened in a period of two years, only two are active.[50] He launched a bank in 2017 amid fanfare but the institution later folded despite church members putting deposits.[51][52] He launched a television news channel, which was soon exposed as using models from Fiverr, a freelancer website.[53][54] That news business also collapsed and was de-registered. Angel has also launched an energy drink, which folded in unclear circumstances.[54]

Prosperity theology

Angel has been critiqued for advocating prosperity theology through his sermons, teachings and writings, or the prosperity gospel,[55] a pseudo-theological belief that the reward of financial and material gain is the divine will of God for all pious Christians.[56]Thus, his ministry appears to be indirectly promoting tithing and prosperity theology[57] in a very persuading manner.[58][59] This is similar to the doctrines of other mega churches, televangelists, and several prominent figures associated with prosperity theology.

Angel has been in the centre of multiple scams and controversies throughout his ministry and various charities, leading to him being called a ‘fraudster’ or a ‘false prophet’.[60] Despite attempts to brush the allegations aside, there have been various accusations nevertheless, which have been both financial and sexual in nature.[19][25][26][61][62]

Sexual misconduct

It has also been alleged that Angel has committed sexual misconduct, has blackmailed or persuaded women into sexual acts, and has had multiple extra-marital relationships.[63][64][65][26][66] Angel’s former congregants accused him of raping their wives [28]

Bentley Continental fraud case

The accusations also include defrauding a Bentley Continental from the owner, which was valued at over $300,000.[67][68][69][21][22] It was assumed that Angel fled to the UK in 2015 to avoid arrest warrants[70] in Zimbabwe over summons issued regarding these allegations.[71][72][73][74]

Al-Jazeera investigation on gold smuggling

In March 2023 Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit revealed that Uebert was abusing his diplomatic privileges to run a global money laundering operation. The operation involves black money being funneled to Zimbabwe through Angel and traded for gold from mines of Zimbabwe, the gold which could then be sold again for clean money. Al Jazeera’s reporters acting as customers recorded Angel stating, “You want gold, gold we can do it right now, we can make the call right now, and it’s done.”[27]

Preacher Jerome Fernando that claims to be a prophet who Uebert appointed to head the Glorius Church in Sri Lanka denied allegations and threatened legal action against accusers.[75] Uebert and Jerome also had met with members of the Rajapaksa family during preaching sessions with Jerome and were given military protection under the Rajapaksa administration.[76][77]

TSHABANGU DEAD-END: ZANU PF Changes Stance Against Chamisa Following South African Elections

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | Following the just-ended elections in South Africa in which the Blue Colour party, DA, has sprung into state-level power, Emmerson Mnangagwa’s ZANU PF party has changed its stance against Nelson Chamisa. After spending six years unleashing the military on him—to kill supporters, rape women, and change election results on the militaristic advice of controversial activist Hopewell Chin’ono, ZANU PF has suddenly changed its position just after appointing the self imposed Sengezo Tshabangu into parliament.

The Democratic Alliance is made up of a combination of local South Africans and displaced Zimbabweans who are exiled in that country, riled by the breakdown of the rule of law that the ANC party has created in Zimbabwe, which has been condemned by the Supreme Court of South Africa.

On 1 Aug 2018, ZANU PF unleashed soldiers into the streets to kill perceived Chamisa supporters to change the election results. In successive years, the Zimbabwe military, under the advice of controversial activist Hopewell Chin’ono, unleashed soldiers onto civil society. Chin’ono advised the Minister of Defence, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, to take this action to reduce political tension, an operation that would see him elevated as an arbiter in the militaristic chaos he created.

Various public Tweets over the breaches by Hopewell Chin’ono

Says Hopewell Chin’ono, in a public Twitter inquiry on 30 Aug 2021, “I am the one who suggested to the VP in the meeting that Government (military leadership) should meet with the diplomats regularly. More importantly, I suggested that Government (military leadership) should meet with Civil Society regularly to avoid tension and suspicion. I did so because I wanted to see a better Zimbabwe,” he answers in response to multiple allegations that he leaked the addresses of safe houses to the military.

As a result of these many military deployments and a pile of rambling allegations by Chin’ono on behalf of the military, Chamisa has ended up giving up his newly set up party, the Citizens Coalition for Change.

Chin’ono was also an activist for pro-ANC propaganda leadership, as he led the public to believe Chamisa cannot lead Zimbabwe because the ANC-controlled government does not support him. The latest of this propaganda has resulted in the deployment of the IPU-condemned political imposter, Sengezo Tshabangu, who has since been appointed the leader of the opposition in parliament in Chamisa’s stead last week.

Within days of the appointment, South Africa’s elections have changed the trajectory of African politics, and a new government is now set to adopt a pro-rule of law stance.

In the latest development, ZANU PF has rushed to announce a change in stance, with its Director Of Information Farai Marapira saying they are now open to talking to Chamisa.

The Director of ZANU PF, quoted by the pro-ZANU PF Daily Newspaper, says although Nelson Chamisa “is not more important” than other Zimbabweans, the party remains open to engaging with him if he puts the interests of the country first. Speaking to the Daily News yesterday, ZANU PF Information Director Farai Marapira also said the ruling party wanted to see Zimbabweans working together to lift the lives of all the country’s people. This comes after it emerged recently that President Emmerson Mnangagwa had been holding talks with the acting leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), Welshman Ncube, and other opposition bigwigs. It also comes after the administrator of the CCC’s other main faction, Jameson Timba, said any dialogue that did not involve Chamisa would be viewed by many people as a “political charade”. “Chamisa should learn to push people’s interests. He must know that he is not more important…”

ANC Top Brass Abandons Meeting As Zuma Divides The Party

South Africa- The African National Congress (ANC) has postponed its national executive committee (NEC) meeting to later this week due to internal tensions.

Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the meeting will now take place on Thursday.

A senior ANC leader attributed the delay to a significant fallout within the party.

“There’s a lot of tension currently. Not only because of our loss to the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK), which is humiliating, but also due to four members within the NEC whom we suspect were collaborating with the MK all along,” the leader told IOL. The names of the suspected members were provided to IOL.

This meeting is the first since the election results were announced on Saturday, despite over 500 objections from the majority of contesting parties.

The MK party is demanding a rerun of the elections, claiming they would have crossed the 50% mark in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) if not for alleged “IEC vote rigging.”

The MK emerged as the third largest party in the country and the biggest in KZN, securing 45.35% of the votes, followed by the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) at 18%, and the ANC at 16.9%.

This marks a dramatic 37.2% drop for the ANC, leading to a public acknowledgment of their defeat to MK and conceding that former President Jacob Zuma, who leads the MK, remains a significant political force.

With coalition talks underway, parties are vying to secure preferred governing partners and ministerial portfolios.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has indicated a willingness to work with either the ANC or the IFP to counter the MK.

However, an ANC source dismissed claims of coalition talks with the DA, citing incompatible policies and concerns about international relations, particularly regarding Palestine and the International Court of Justice.

“There are no talks with the DA. Our policies don’t align. If we enter a coalition with the DA, it would damage our international standing. The IFP, despite our painful history, has been considered, but there’s resistance due to past conflicts,” the source said. “Currently, we are leaning towards partnering with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). They want the finance portfolio, and we may offer them a deputy position, but discussions are still in the early stages.”

Warriors Go For Glory

THE Zimbabwe senior mens football team, the Warriors, trooped into camp in Johannesburg, South Africa, this Sunday, ahead of their make or break World Cup qualifier against the Crocodiles of Lesotho set for Orlando stadium on Friday.

Under the tutelage of interim coach Jairos Tapera, the Warriors regrouped in Johannesburg ahead of Fridays blockbuster qualifying tie with Lesotho.

Zimbabwe Football Association Competitions Manager, Simbarashe Gochera confirmed everything is in place for the tie against Lesotho after the foreign contingent of players joined South African based players in Johannesburg for camping.

With two points from two stalemates against Rwanda and Nigeria, the Warriors should punch above their weight and defeat Lesotho if they fancy their chances of making it to the worlds football showpiece.

Zimbabwe will get their qualifiers rolling with a clash with the Crocodiles at the giant Orlando stadium before colliding with hosts South Africa four days later in a potentially explosive encounter in Bloemfontein.

Bushiri Hit With Huge Tax

SARS Slaps Shepherd Bushiri’s Christian Channel with R100-Million Tax Bill

By A Correspondent | In a dramatic turn of events, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) has issued a staggering tax bill exceeding R100-million to the popular Christian channel owned by the controversial cleric Shepherd Bushiri. This revelation came to light when SARS sought a judgment against the channel in the Johannesburg High Court last week.

Bushiri, often enveloped in controversy, has built a significant following through his Christian non-denominational church, the Enlightened Christian Gathering, headquartered in Pretoria. Known for his extravagant claims and purported miracles, including a notorious video where he appeared to walk in the air, Bushiri’s public persona has been as polarizing as it is compelling. His former public relations manager has since disclosed that many of these miracles were staged to attract media attention.

The Christian channel, a significant arm of Bushiri’s media empire, is now facing severe scrutiny from the tax authorities. This development casts a shadow over the cleric’s vast business operations, which span multiple sectors including forex trading, real estate, and the airline industry under the umbrella of Shepherd Bushiri Investments. This company has already been mired in allegations of fraud and money laundering, with numerous assets seized following the collapse of a Ponzi scheme that defrauded pensioners.

Bushiri’s expansive business interests are not confined to South Africa. His enterprises reach across continents, with lawsuits and fraud charges even emerging in the United States. Despite these challenges, Bushiri’s influence remains significant, with his church drawing thousands daily, promoting a message that “God cares and loves people and wants to speak directly to them.”

The R100-million tax bill is a significant blow to Bushiri’s operations. It underscores the financial and legal pressures facing his organization, further complicated by his intricate network of businesses, including a television channel, a telecommunications company, farms, properties, sports academies, and universities.

Bushiri’s rise to prominence and wealth has been rapid and controversial, marked by innovative but questionable business practices. At 41, he has managed to accumulate considerable riches, ostensibly to support his community and global gospel work. However, the latest actions by SARS highlight ongoing concerns about the legitimacy of his financial dealings and their compliance with South African tax laws.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the future of Bushiri’s Christian channel and broader business empire remains uncertain.

Toni Kroos Passes the Number 8 to Fede Valverde

In a touching moment of camaraderie and respect, Toni Kroos has handed over his iconic number 8 jersey to rising star Fede Valverde. The German midfielder, known for his precision and poise on the pitch, expressed his admiration and confidence in the young Uruguayan, marking a significant transition at Real Madrid.

“It’s an honour, it’s a pleasure to give my number to this boy,” Kroos stated, his words filled with genuine sentiment and pride. This gesture symbolizes not only a passing of a jersey but also a passing of the torch, as Valverde continues to rise in prominence within the team.

Kroos, who has worn the number 8 since his arrival at Real Madrid in 2014, has been a cornerstone of the club’s midfield. His contributions have been pivotal in securing numerous titles, including four UEFA Champions League trophies and three La Liga titles. The number 8 jersey, therefore, carries a legacy of excellence and leadership, one that Kroos believes Valverde is ready to uphold.

Valverde, who joined Real Madrid in 2016, has quickly established himself as a versatile and dynamic midfielder. His relentless energy, tactical intelligence, and ability to perform in crucial moments have endeared him to fans and teammates alike. Receiving the number 8 jersey is a testament to his hard work and the high regard in which he is held within the club.

For Valverde, this moment is more than just a change in number; it represents an endorsement from one of the game’s greats. “To receive this number from Toni means a lot to me,” Valverde said. “I will wear it with pride and do my best to honor it on the field.”

This gesture by Kroos also highlights the culture of mentorship and unity at Real Madrid. Veteran players like Kroos play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of talent, ensuring that the club’s standards of excellence are maintained.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Valverde as he takes on the mantle of the number 8. With Kroos’ blessing and the support of the fans, he is poised to continue his ascent and contribute to Real Madrid’s storied legacy.

In the world of football, numbers often carry symbolic weight, representing not just a player’s position, but also their role within the team and their place in history. For Valverde, wearing the number 8 will be both a challenge and an inspiration, a reminder of the greatness that came before him and the potential that lies ahead.

Ongombeya Emmerson

By A Correspondent

President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, also known as “Tongombeya,” has embarked on yet another international trip, this time to South Korea.

The trip is ostensibly for the inaugural South Korea–Africa Summit, a high-profile business gathering aimed at fostering economic partnerships between Africa and South Korea.

Critics of Mnangagwa, particularly those opposed to the ruling Zanu PF party, have long argued that his frequent foreign trips are “meaningless forays” that yield little tangible benefit for Zimbabwe.

They contend that these excursions are more about optics and less about substance, with the real issues at home remaining unaddressed.

However, Mnangagwa presents a different narrative.

In a statement released on Sunday, he expressed his enthusiasm for attending the summit, which he views as a pivotal moment for Zimbabwe and the broader African continent.

“Proud to attend the inaugural South Korea–Africa Summit, themed ‘The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability and Solidarity,'” Mnangagwa said.

He emphasized the significance of the summit in creating economic ties, adding, “This summit marks a significant step in fostering economic partnerships between Africa and South Korea.”

The Zimbabwean leader highlighted the strategic areas of cooperation that the summit aims to address, including agriculture, mining, and information and communication technology (ICT).

“We aim to sign pivotal agreements in agriculture, mining, ICT, and more, aligning with our vision for Zimbabwe’s growth and development,” Mnangagwa stated.

He also praised South Korea’s economic trajectory, suggesting that Zimbabwe could draw valuable lessons from it. “South Korea’s inspiring economic journey offers valuable insights for us,” he noted.

Mnangagwa’s message was one of optimism and collaboration.

“Working together, we can build lasting growth and prosperity,” he concluded, punctuating his statement with the hashtags #Zimbabwe, #SouthKorea, and #southkoreaafricasummit.

The reception of Mnangagwa’s trip among his critics and supporters will undoubtedly differ.

For those skeptical of his leadership, the trip may reinforce their view that Mnangagwa’s priorities are misplaced.

Conversely, his supporters might see this as a proactive step towards international cooperation and economic development.

As Mnangagwa participates in the South Korea–Africa Summit, the outcomes of his engagements and the agreements signed will be closely scrutinized.

Whether these will translate into meaningful progress for Zimbabwe or simply be another point of contention in the ongoing debate about his leadership remains to be seen.

We Are True Opposition – Tshabangu

By A Correspondent

Sengezo Tshabangu, the self-appointed interim Secretary General of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has declared that his primary mission is to eliminate the politics of hatred and foster national unity.

Despite being viewed by many as a proxy for the ruling Zanu PF, Tshabangu remains undeterred by the skepticism surrounding his position.

During a weekend address, Tshabangu criticized those he termed “haters” and “naysayers,” who question his legitimacy and intentions.

He asserted, “Let them say whatever they want but we represent the real CCC.

It’s high time we shift focus from politics of hate to politics of development and have unity to lead us.”

Emphasizing his commitment to a new political ethos, Tshabangu highlighted the importance of moving away from divisive rhetoric and working towards a collective vision for Zimbabwe’s progress.

“During my tenure as the leader of opposition in Parliament, I promise to unite Zimbabweans for the good of our country,” he vowed.

Tshabangu’s statements come at a time when the political landscape in Zimbabwe is marked by deep divisions and a history of contentious relations between various factions.

His pledge to prioritize unity and development aims to address these long-standing issues and chart a new course for the nation.

However, the perception of Tshabangu as a Zanu PF proxy complicates his mission.

Critics argue that his appointment and subsequent actions might serve to undermine the CCC from within, thereby benefiting the ruling party.

Despite this, Tshabangu remains steadfast in his belief that his leadership will bring about positive change.

The coming months will be crucial in determining whether Tshabangu can indeed shift the political narrative from one of animosity to one of collaboration and progress.

His ability to rally support and build bridges across the political divide will be instrumental in achieving the unity he envisions for Zimbabwe.

Mafume Mourns Huchi

Mayor of the city of Harare

The story of the democratic struggle when it’s written ,will have your name deeply engraved in most of its pages.

It’s not easy , it’s a story of service ,sacrifice and loss .

You lose more than you gain. You learn to accept the indiscriminate unfairness of an African body politic.

In terms of blows this is a hard one, I have tears in my heart .We tried all we could to protect and shield you from the arrows from cdes.

In more cases you cared about where I was more than where you were .You would be more upset and less accepting than I was on things done to me .Any slight ,was enough for a summons to ” Maruva”.

A proverb would begin the discussion .

A plan of action would be cemented by another proveb. Failure was never an option .The hearty laugh was permanent in happiness and in sorrow .

Murambwi–the anecdotes would roll out of the tongue after a few sips of the waters of wisdom.

A person was described with an encounter to illustrate the point.

Once agreed we moved ,no retreat no surrender. A solid pillar of the struggle .Some seek to be the “brides”of the struggle at all the times, you were content to be the “bridesmaid”.

An MP , a Deputy Minister and a Senator at the end , few can have such a CV.It was an honour to call you a friend, a brother and a comrade .

It was always enriching to sit around a fire and trade war stories and show each other the scars of the struggle .I am richer for having known you …

Rest well Huchi ..Murambwi .

Chelsea To Unveil New Mentor

Chelsea are expected to appoint Enzo Maresca as their new head coach on Monday.

Maresca, who has left Leicester City after guiding them back into the EPL, will succeed Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues will pay a release clause to the Foxes that’s understood to be between £8m and £10m.

Mbappe Off To Real Madrid…

By A Correspondent

Real Madrid, the 2023/24 Champions League winners, are set to announce the acquisition of Kylian Mbappe, marking the end of one of football’s most protracted transfer sagas.

The French superstar will join Los Blancos after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expired, bringing an illustrious chapter of his career in Paris to a close.

Mbappe’s decision to leave PSG was confirmed in May, a move that was widely anticipated given his repeated links to Real Madrid over the years. Despite PSG’s efforts to retain their star forward, Mbappe had his sights set on the Santiago Bernabéu, a dream he had expressed publicly multiple times.

During his tenure at PSG, Mbappe cemented his status as one of the world’s elite players.

He leaves the club as their all-time record goalscorer, an impressive feat considering the club’s history of prolific strikers.

His time in Paris was marked by a series of domestic triumphs, including numerous Ligue 1 titles, and remarkable individual performances that captured the football world’s imagination.

Real Madrid’s pursuit of Mbappe has been a saga filled with near-misses and intense speculation.

The Spanish giants first made their interest known several years ago, but negotiations were often complicated by PSG’s reluctance to part with their prized asset and the player’s contractual commitments in Paris. Nevertheless, Mbappe’s desire to don the famous white shirt of Madrid remained undeterred.

The 2023/24 season proved pivotal for both Mbappe and Real Madrid.

Madrid’s triumph in the Champions League highlighted their continued dominance in European football, while Mbappe’s performances in France reaffirmed his status as a generational talent ready for the next big challenge in his career.

With the move now finalized, Real Madrid can look forward to integrating Mbappe into a squad already brimming with talent.

His arrival is expected to bolster Madrid’s attacking options significantly, adding pace, skill, and a proven goalscoring ability to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

For Mbappe, the move represents the realization of a long-held ambition to play for one of the most storied clubs in football history.

The transfer is not just a significant moment for the player and the clubs involved, but also for the football community at large.

Mbappe’s switch to Real Madrid is likely to have a ripple effect across the sport, influencing future transfer activities and the strategies of rival clubs aiming to compete at the highest level.

As Real Madrid prepare to officially announce the signing, fans and pundits alike will be eagerly anticipating Mbappe’s debut in La Liga and the Champions League. The prospect of seeing him in the iconic white jersey, playing at the Bernabéu, promises to be one of the highlights of the upcoming football season.

Limpopo Newspaper

Obituary: Captain Eric Mataba

OBITUARY: CAPTAIN ERIC MATABA

By Dr Raymond Chamba| Way back in the day, I wrote my A Level exams in June and did well enough to leave others at school while I started working for Air Zimbabwe. Working for Air Zimbabwe was my gap year while I awaited to start US college in the fall quarter (August) of the next year.

The late Eric Mataba

My life and perspective changed dramatically in the very first month I was introduced to the friend of my Senior Duty Manager one Mrs Getrude Khumalo. That person was Capt Eric Mataba. He had a company named Black Rose at the 3rd or 4th Floor of Takura House in Harare.

From that meeting was created a business relationship where I would fly everywhere around the world running errands for him and his company. I would fly into at least two countries every week on average meeting people, going to different companies, taking critical goods needed by industry and business back in Zimbabwe and SADC region in general. My passport on average filled up every four months as I only demanded that I go to different countries and never over haggling on the price of my “courier services for the pilots and airline bosses”.

I was making money hand over fist and I remember not cashing my pay checks until late after they became a nuisance in my drawer. Air Zimbabwe introduced me to travel, big money and the ability to keep my calm and confidence talking to anyone from anywhere. College later introduced theories and case studies to things I knew and enjoyed doing.

I remember one day after we had a very successful three weeks flying to Perth, Sydney, Lanarca, London and Frankfurt that we got paid so much money by Capt Mataba that I had to get two big bags from Fulton and Evans stuffed with USD, British Pounds and Zim dollar cash. I had my great friend at the airline Elder Derrick Chikore and we went into OK First Street looking for pies. The security guy harassed us insisting that shoppers luggage bags were not allowed inside the store. The guy almost fainted when we half opened the bags and made him understand that it was our cash wallets. This was 1990. Capt Mataba never underpaid, never late in paying and always encouraged me to leave Air Zimbabwe and go further my education.

He had humility beyond measure. His job took him to the skies but his manner kept him on the ground with everyone. Never too busy to share a laughter and never too late to encourage someone. Capt Mataba was the quintessence of Zimbabwean aviation glory and this took him everywhere around the world. What a fine Ambassador of local professional excellence.

Within 11 months, I flew on not less than 120 flights to more than 42 countries on his errands which were nothing less than global joy rides for me. For a teenager from Chitungwiza by way of Mutare my world vision and confidence was forever changed and challenged. I was not a stranger to big meetings, big money and confidence across all settings because I knew that those that send me depended on my total and full execution. I had the confidence to negotiate duty payments with the head of Customs at Harare International Airport. The dude was a scoundrel who later went on to become an important cabinet Minister. For all his fear mongering I knew early on that all he needed was money…..

Chokes off. Go well Capt Eric Mataba. Fly well into the last stop Skipper, but your profound impact remains with the very many lives you touched. What a man. What a Zimbabwean giant…..

Tshabangu Gets More Government Money

By Political Reporter- Zanu PF senior member and Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi has confirmed that political party funds will be disbursed to the Tshabangu faction of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC).

Initially, the funds were intended for the CCC faction, which was aligned with Nelson Chamisa, as it is the party with elected members of Parliament.

However, Ziyambi has stated that the government prefers Tshabangu’s faction.

“There were delays [in disbursing the funds] because the Minister of Finance [Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Professor Mthuli Ncube] was not available. Once the processes have been completed, we will disburse the funds soon,” Ziyambi told the state media. “The recipient of the funds was determined [in Parliament] and it is the opposition [faction] with the majority of members in Parliament.”

Speaker of the National Assembly Advocate Jacob Mudenda has also indicated that Tshabangu is now recognized as the leader of the opposition in Parliament.

This follows Mudenda’s decision to rescind the appointments of CCC legislators to various parliamentary committees, noting that their secondment was by Jemason. Timba.

According to the Political Parties (Finance) Act, only the ruling party Zanu-PF and CCC qualify to receive a share of the funding.

SA Elections Pass Credibility Test As SADC Ignores Mnangagwa Electoral Theft

South Africa- Wednesday’s vote has passed the credibility test, with all observer missions commending Pretoria for maintaining a clean record since the advent of democracy in 1994.

The latest to endorse the elections is the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to South Africa.

The mission praised the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) for presiding over free, fair, and credible National and Provincial elections.

The AUEOM, which comprised 65 observers from 26 African Union Member States, was deployed from May 21 to June 3, 2024, at the invitation of the South African Government and the IEC.

The mission was led by Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, former President of Kenya, and supported by Ambassador Bankole Adeoye.

Despite the commendations for South Africa, the region and the continent continue to overlook significant electoral issues in neighbouring Zimbabwe.

Last August, Zimbabwe’s election was marred by allegations of vote-rigging by the ruling Zanu PF party.

All observer missions, including those from the Southern African Development Community (SADC), condemned the Zimbabwean polls, citing numerous irregularities and lack of transparency.

The region promised to address the electoral malpractices in Zimbabwe, but no substantial actions have been taken to date.

This inaction has raised concerns about the commitment of regional bodies to uphold democratic principles uniformly across the continent.

Zuma “Exposes Ramaphosa Selling-Out Plan”

South Africa- Former president Jacob Zuma says he heard from his sources that the ANC is divided on who it will go into coalition with. He says President Cyril Ramaphosa wants the DA as the partner, while others are against this.

ANC lost the majority vote and can not form a government alone.

The former ruling party has the DA, EFF and Zuma’s Umkhonto WeSizwe to form a government with.

Among these parties, the DA represents the white minority, once part of the apartheid government. In its policies, the DA is against black empowerment, and it’s for white capital monopoly.

MK and EFF are off-shoots of ANC and these parties represent black emancipation and PanAfricanism.

Mnangagwa Attacks Lobengula, Angers The Ndebele

By Political Reporter-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has provoked outrage among the Ndebele people after making disparaging remarks about their historical king, Lobengula.

While commissioning 17 schools at Makumimavi Primary School in Chivhu, Thursday, Mnangagwa made a joke at the expense of King Lobengula, describing him as lacking in innovation.

He recounted a story in which Lobengula allegedly killed a man after seeing his own reflection in a mirror, believing it to be witchcraft.

Mnangagwa’s comments came as he encouraged young people to embrace modern technology and avoid being like the “old man” Lobengula. He stated:
“As I was touring the school, I saw the computer system—pupils in one class were talking to others in another class, and we were seeing them through the computer system. I was telling VaChiwenga [Vice-President Constantino]. Long back, Mambo Lobengula, King Lobengula, when he heard from Queen Victoria—she invited him for a friendship, but she said, ‘For it to be stronger, send your three envoys so that they will come and see where I rule because my missionaries have seen your jurisdiction already, so send yours so that they will see here (England).’”

Mnangagwa went on to describe how King Lobengula sent three envoys to England, where they were given a mirror.
Upon their return, they presented the mirror to Lobengula, who, seeing his reflection, allegedly exclaimed, “Umthakathi lowu. Bulala Umthakhathi” (This is a witch. Kill this witch), resulting in the man’s death.

The president concluded by stressing the importance of education and technology to avoid the ignorance exemplified by Lobengula’s reaction.

The audience reacted with a mix of confusion and displeasure, leading to audible murmurs and interjections.

Mnangagwa reportedly paused his speech as the discontent became evident.

This incident follows the recent suspension of two ZBC presenters, Farai Magada and Victoria Manase, for making derogatory remarks about Lobengula on national television.

King Lobengula was the last monarch of the Ndebele kingdom, ruling after the death of his father, Mzilikazi, in 1868 until the kingdom’s decline in the mid-1890s.

Chelsea To Name New Boss

Chelsea are expected to appoint Enzo Maresca as their new head coach on Monday.

Maresca, who has left Leicester City after guiding them back into the EPL, will succeed Mauricio Pochettino.

According to Sky Sports, the 44-year-old has agreed a five-year deal.

The Blues will pay a release clause to the Foxes that’s understood to be between £8m and £10m.

The publication adds that Maresca is taking six members of his backroom staff from Leicester with him, including former Blues goalkeeper Willy Cabellero.

Maresca was Chelsea’s number-one choice after a shortlist featuring Brentford boss Thomas Frank, Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi was drawn up.

Club co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart led the recruitment process after being entrusted by co-owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly.

Mayor Jacob Mafume Pays Tribute To Murisi Zwizwai

By Jacob Mafume

Tshabangu Vows to Unite Country Amidst Controversy

Do You Think Mnangagwa Will Bring Home Positive Results?

Kylian Mbappe Completes Long-Awaited Move to Real Madrid

Is Ramaphosa Stepping Down?

Alleged Leaked Audio from the ANC NEC Suggests Ramaphosa Might Resign

Recent alleged leaked audio suggests that Cyril Ramaphosa might announce his resignation from both his positions as President of the ANC and as President of South Africa due to pressure from the ANC NEC top five and his funders.

It is claimed that Ramaphosa has set one condition for his resignation: immunity from arrest.

This would protect him from charges related to the Marikana Massacre and the Phala Phala scandal, both of which could potentially lead to his imprisonment. His legal team is reportedly exploring ways to secure this protection.

The leak is believed to have come from one of the NEC members.

Did Police Ban Motorcades Because of Mayor Mafume?

By A Correspondent| Last week, the Zimbabwe Republic Police announced that no-one except the President is allowed to use a motorcade with blue-lights escort, in a move that was seen as targeted at controversial prophets.

But it seems, the move was meant to block the Mayor of Harare, Jacob Mafume who has of late been enjoying cruising in a motorcade while on council business.

Mafume’s motorcade had caused social media noise with many asking if he deserved such a privilege.

“Yooo guys @JMafume is flexing in Harare, just went past me in a motorcade, full with sirens ?,” reads one of the posts on Facebook by Blessed Mhlanga.

Others supported Mafume saying he was the first resident of the city hence deserves protection.

The police have since put a stop to that warning that anyone who continues to use a motorized escort will face the full wrath of the law.

“In terms of the country’s laws only the State Presidium will be provided with motorised escorts or State motorcade. In this regard, the public should take note that there is no law or provision which allows the Zimbabwe Republic Police to offer or provide motorised escorts for various requests such as weddings, church gatherings, birthday parties or other private functions.

“In the same vein, the public is accordingly informed that the law does not allow the use of any private or personal motorcade of any form on the country’s roads whether with beacon lights or sounding any form of siren. The law will take its course without fear or favour for those found on the wrong side of the law,” said Nyathi.

Mnangagwa Unleashes Dogs On Chiwenga

By Political Reporter- Zanu PF President Emerson Mnangagwa has assigned the newly appointed party political commissar, Munyaradzi Machacha, to purge members associated with a faction led by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

There are fierce power struggles over succession between Mnangagwa and his deputy Chiwenga, as Mnangagwa aims to extend his rule beyond ten years.

The purging process, termed a ‘restructuring exercise,’ began over the weekend across all provinces.

This initiative is the first step towards building Zanu PF’s lower structures, registering new members, and taking stock of current members.

Zanu PF has dispatched Politburo-led teams to all 10 provinces to conduct the witch-hunt exercise.

The process commenced with the convening of Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meetings over the weekend.

Whenever the Zanu PF leadership feels threatened by internal power struggles, the ruling party carries out such exercises.

The Commissariat Department has deployed Politburo members to address the PCC meetings and explain how the restructuring program will be conducted.

Zanu PF Political Commissar Munyaradzi Machacha stated that after the PCC meetings, provinces should hold Inter-District meetings at all District Coordinating Committee (DCC) centers on June 8 and 9, 2024.

Each province will deploy its PCC members to address these inter-district meetings and communicate the framework for conducting the restructuring program at the cell and village levels.

“The Inter-district meetings,” Machacha said, “should be followed by nationwide Inter-Branch meetings to be held on June 15 and 16, 2024. The actual restructuring should then effectively begin on June 17, 2024, and end on July 17, 2024. The Inter-Branch meetings are very important in this program since it is the Branch Executive Committees that are finally going to physically carry out the actual restructuring of the cells and villages under their jurisdiction, with supervision from District DCC and Provincial leadership.”

ED Forgets To Tell Hichilema He’s Almost Sold Zambia’s Victoria Falls to Trump and Al Jazeera Journalists

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | “This morning, I had the pleasure of joining my fellow Heads of State from Zambia, Angola, Botswana, and Namibia at the KAZA TFCA Summit in Livingstone, Zambia, near the majestic Victoria Falls. Together, we are discussing “Leveraging KAZA’s natural capital and cultural heritage for inclusive socio-economic development.”

The Kavango meeting 2 days ago

I am proud to announce that Zimbabwe will assume the rotating chairmanship of KAZA for the next two years. This is a significant opportunity for us to lead in enhancing sustainable conservation and driving socio-economic progress in our region. Together, we will build a prosperous and environmentally resilient future for our people.
??????????
#KAZASummit #Conservation #Zimbabwe, ” writes Mnangagwa.

Mnangagwa with Hichilema at Vic Falls

However, there is a curious twist to the tale that unfolded in Victoria Falls, one that President Mnangagwa may have conveniently forgotten to confess to his Zambian counterpart, President Hakainde Hichilema.

Twice, President Mnangagwa has nearly sold the land surrounding Victoria Falls, which is well-known to be Zambian territory. The first incident occurred at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2018.

“When I was in Davos I met staffers from the Trump administration. I had hoped to meet President Trump but I had to leave before he arrived. But I told his people that if president Trump wishes, I will offer him ground in Victoria Falls in the national park.

Victoria Falls land

“We have wildlife national park in Victoria Falls, but I had offered president Trump ground to build a state-of-the-art golf course so that as he plays, he can be able to see the big five,” Mnangagwa said.

The second incident was even more embarrassing and was caught on camera by undercover journalists posing as gangsters for the GoldMafia documentary by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit. During a meeting with Mnangagwa’s ambassador, Uebert Angel, the envoy claimed he can arrange for them to have Victoria Falls land. A prime spot for any venture they might have in mind.

These incidents expose the absurdity of offering land that does not belong to Zimbabwe. Despite the gravity of these past mistakes, they were not brought up during the recent meeting with President Hichilema, leaving an unspoken chapter in their diplomatic interactions.

As Mnangagwa focuses on his role as the new chair of KAZA, these humorous yet revealing incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of clear and honest communication in international relations.

Who Owns Victoria Falls, Zambia Or Zimbabwe?

Shelton Muchena, International Flora and Fauna Reporter in London | In a land where nature’s marvels reign supreme, a fierce and comical rivalry has unfolded between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The source of this rivalry? None other than the majestic Victoria Falls, a roaring wonder that straddles the border between these two nations. Join me, Shelton Muchena, as I uncover the intriguing tale of the battle for ownership of Victoria Falls, where even Mother Nature seems to delight in their squabbles..

Victoria Falls views from.both sides – image credit Havok Live

Once upon a time (well, not really, but close enough), in the heart of Southern Africa, lay a magnificent masterpiece of nature – Victoria Falls. With its thundering cascades and ethereal mist, it captivated the imaginations of all who beheld its splendour. But as is often the case with treasures of this magnitude, a dispute arose over its ownership.

another view another version of facts.

Zimbabweans, with their unwavering pride, laid claim to the falls, proudly proclaiming it as a symbol of their nation’s beauty. They pointed to the fact that the majority of the falls lie within the borders of Zimbabwe, and thus, it rightfully belonged to them. They marvelled at the sheer power of the falls, finding solace in the knowledge that this awe-inspiring wonder was their own.

However, just across the mighty Zambezi River, Zambians begged to differ. They argued that the falls belonged to Zambia, for it was their land that provided the best vantage points to witness its grandeur. They boasted about the stunning views from their side, where the falls seemed to dance and shimmer under the golden African sun. They claimed that the falls were an integral part of their tourism industry, drawing visitors from far and wide to witness its majesty.

Adding to the complexity of the situation is the historical context. Victoria Falls was named by the Scottish explorer David Livingstone, who discovered the falls in 1855. At the time, the area was ruled by the local indigenous tribes. However, in the late 19th century, the British colonised the region, which later became known as Rhodesia. After gaining independence in 1980, Rhodesia became Zimbabwe. Zambia, on the other hand, gained independence in 1964. This historical backdrop adds another layer to the debate over ownership.

As the debate raged on, the falls themselves seemed to chuckle at the absurdity of it all. For they knew that they were beyond the ownership of any nation. They belonged to the world, a gift from nature that defied borders and boundaries. The falls laughed as Zimbabweans and Zambians bickered, their voices drowned out by the roar of the cascades.

While Zimbabwe may have the majority of the falls within its borders, it is important to note that the views from both sides offer unique perspectives. Zimbabwe’s proximity allows for a closer encounter with the falls and a breathtaking view from the famous Devil’s Pool. On the other hand, Zambia provides a wider panorama, showcasing the falls in all their glory. Both countries offer different experiences, ensuring that visitors can appreciate the true magnificence of Victoria Falls.

And so, the battle for ownership of Victoria Falls continues, with Zimbabweans and Zambians locked in an eternal tug-of-war. But perhaps, just perhaps, it’s time for both nations to set aside their differences and embrace the truth – that Victoria Falls is a shared treasure, a symbol of the unity and beauty of Southern Africa. Let us celebrate this natural wonder together, appreciating its power and splendour, regardless of national borders.

Shelton Muchena, signing off from London, where the roar of Victoria Falls echoes in my heart.

Charamba Denies ANC Defeat as Ramaphosa Admits Loss

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | Johannesburg, Monday — Presidential Spokesman George Charamba vehemently denied claims that the African National Congress (ANC) had suffered a defeat in the recent elections. Charamba emphasized that coalitions are merely tactical alliances and not reflective of the ANC’s long-term stability. “WHAT MANY MISS: Coalitions are tactical alliances, alliances of necessity; they are not the goal. We had that here in the form of GNU. What happened afterwards? It’s politically foolish to judge the shelf life of ANC on the likely temporary retreat. The real issue crying out for analysis is if or not the retreat is strategic!” Charamba asserted on Monday morning.

George Charamba

Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa described the election results as a victory for South Africa’s democracy, despite the ANC losing its parliamentary majority for the first time. The once-dominant party, historically led by Nelson Mandela, secured 159 seats in the 400-seat parliament, a significant drop from the 230 seats it held in the previous assembly.

“This is the ANC’s worst election result since the end of apartheid 30 years ago, but it still holds the most seats by far,” Ramaphosa noted. The president acknowledged the sharp decline in support, which necessitates forming a coalition to govern. “Our people have spoken, whether we like it or not, they have spoken,” he said.

Ramaphosa called on all political leaders to heed the will of the voters and seek common ground. “Through their votes, they have demonstrated clearly and plainly that our democracy is strong and it is enduring,” he added. South Africa’s political parties now have two weeks to negotiate a coalition, after which the new parliament will convene to choose a president.

The centre-right Democratic Alliance (DA), maintaining its position as the second-largest party in parliament, has expressed openness to coalition discussions. However, former president Jacob Zuma, who leads the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party that finished third, was notably absent from the results announcement. Zuma had earlier called for an election rerun, alleging electoral misconduct and demanding an independent investigation.

Zuma, speaking earlier in the day, warned the electoral commission against finalizing the results, suggesting it would be “provoking us” if his demands were ignored. “Don’t start trouble when there is no trouble,” he cautioned. The former president’s MK party made significant inroads in KwaZulu-Natal, securing 44% of the provincial vote compared to the ANC’s 19%.

Charamba’s strong denial of any ANC defeat stands in stark contrast to the broader interpretation of the results as a setback for the party. Nonetheless, the coming weeks will be crucial as coalition talks unfold, shaping the future governance of South Africa.- ZimEye

Los Blancos Bag 15th UEFA Champions League Title

Carlo Ancelotti said Real Madrid achieved a “10 out of 10” season after winning the Champions League for a record-extending 15th time with a 2-0 victory Saturday against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

Real, who also won the LaLiga title in Spain, sealed their win against Dortmund with two goals late in the second half from Dani Carvajal and Vinícius Júnior.

The success was Ancelotti’s fifth Champions League title as a manager — another record — and Real’s Toni Kroos, Carvajal, Luka Modric and Nacho also joined club legend Paco Gento on six Champions League wins as players.

While Madrid emerged as European champions again, Dortmund were unlucky not to pull off a huge upset in London, the scene of their 2013 final defeat against Bayern Munich.

Edin Terzic’s team dominated the first half, but Julian Brandt, Niclas Füllkrug and Karim Adeyemi all missed clear chances to open the scoring.

“[Dortmund] played better than us and had more chances than us, but they let us get away with 0-0 at half-time,” Ancelotti said. “In the second half we had more balance, played better and managed to win the game.

“I think this season we had many, many troubles. We lost quality players and had to replace their ability with commitment.

“You need both sacrifice and quality to win Champions League, but this win makes me very satisfied because we never give up and always fight until the end.

“So I’d rate us as 10 out of 10 this season. This season has been 10/10. My players have been spectacular.”

Malema, in his statement, emphasized that the EFF considers the ANC to be the best partner for a coalition due to its declining influence and lack of recovery efforts post-election losses. “The ANC is not arrogant when compromised and, without an absolute majority, it struggles to regain lost power,” Malema stated, highlighting the strategic advantage this presents for the EFF.

Crucially, Malema clarified that the EFF would not insist on the removal of President Cyril Ramaphosa as a precondition for coalition talks. This stance marks a departure from previous EFF demands and signals a pragmatic approach to coalition negotiations.

“Our principles remain non-negotiable,” Malema asserted, referencing the EFF’s seven cardinal pillars, which include economic freedom, service delivery on land, jobs, water, electricity, sanitation, and care for people with disabilities. He also emphasized that racism would not be tolerated in any coalition agreement, stating, “Any coalition must not reinforce white supremacy or Afrikaner nationalism.”

As the ANC contemplates coalition options, it faces a complex political landscape. With its vote share dropping, it requires a substantial partner such as the EFF, the Democratic Alliance (DA), or possibly the new MK party. The DA, known for its center-right policies, and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) are potential partners, but their cooperation with the ANC might hinge on mutual exclusion of the EFF and MK from governance.

In provinces like Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, which are pivotal due to their population sizes and economic importance, coalition dynamics will be particularly influential. An ANC-EFF coalition in Gauteng seems likely given their current collaboration in the Johannesburg city council. However, national-level negotiations will be more intricate.

The DA has regained support from both white voters and a segment of black voters, positioning itself as a potential kingmaker. The party’s strategy appears aimed at keeping the EFF and MK out of power, possibly by forming an alliance with the ANC and IFP.

Commenting on the evolving political scenario, political analyst Mr. Harper noted, “The DA and IFP are keeping coalition options open to prevent the EFF and MK from entering the government. The ANC faces a pivotal decision that will shape its future and the nation’s governance.”

Despite internal divisions within the ANC regarding an alliance with the EFF, the potential coalition has drawn significant attention. As noted by journalist Ferial Haffajee in the Daily Maverick, Malema has adopted a more measured approach during the election campaign, suggesting that an ANC-EFF coalition aligns with his strategic vision for gaining governmental influence.

With South Africa on the cusp of a new political era, the ANC’s coalition decisions will have profound implications for the country’s governance. The opposition parties’ newfound leverage underscores the shifting power dynamics, making coalition negotiations a critical aspect of the post-election landscape.

Harare, Zimbabwe — Murisi Zwizwai, a prominent figure in Zimbabwean politics and a stalwart of the opposition movement, has passed away.

Zwizwai, who served as the Member of Parliament for Harare Central, was widely respected for his unwavering commitment to democracy and human rights in Zimbabwe.

Zwizwai’s political career spanned several decades, during which he played a pivotal role in advocating for political reform and social justice.

He was a key member of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), the primary opposition party in Zimbabwe, which has been at the forefront of challenging the long-standing rule of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF).

Born and raised in Harare, Zwizwai’s journey into politics was driven by a desire to see a more equitable and transparent governance system in Zimbabwe.

He was first elected as the MP for Harare Central in the early 2000s, a position he held through various electoral cycles, often facing significant challenges and political repression. Mnangagwa Lies Exposed

By A Correspondent

Despite President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s recent claims of progress in Zimbabwe’s educational sector, critics argue that his statements are nothing more than grandstanding.

On Friday, Mnangagwa boasted about commissioning 17 new schools.

“Today, I visited the Makumimavi Primary School in Chikomba District, Mashonaland East, to commission 17 new schools,” he declared.

“These schools, built across the nation, represent our unwavering commitment to providing modern facilities and resources for learners and teachers in rural and remote areas.”

Mnangagwa emphasized the significance of these developments, stating, “This significant milestone underscores our dedication to advancing education and ensuring that every child in Zimbabwe has access to quality learning environments. Together, we are building a brighter future for our nation.”

However, observers are skeptical of Mnangagwa’s claims. Critics argue that these pronouncements are a reflection of sheer grandstanding, pointing out the dissonance between the President’s statements and the actual state of the education sector.

Educational analysts have noted persistent issues such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of learning materials, and unfulfilled promises in previous years.

“While the President’s words are encouraging, the reality on the ground tells a different story,” said one analyst.

“Many schools in rural areas still lack basic amenities such as electricity, running water, and proper sanitation facilities. The gap between promises and delivery remains wide.”

Teachers’ unions have also expressed doubts about the impact of these new schools.

“We have heard similar promises before,” remarked a Progressive Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe official.

“What we need is not just the commissioning of schools but sustained investment in educational resources and teacher welfare. Without these, any new infrastructure will be of limited use.”

In the face of these criticisms, Mnangagwa’s administration maintains that the commissioning of new schools is a crucial step towards improving the educational landscape.

Yet, for many Zimbabweans, the proof will be in the tangible improvements seen in their communities.

As the debate continues, the focus remains on whether these new schools will indeed bring the promised advancements or if they will become yet another example of unfulfilled governmental pledges.

Sikhala Hits Back At Zanu PF…

By Hon Job Sikhala

Desperate propaganda by the regime on the circumstances of my 595 days under pre-trial incarceration and the suffering of many other Zimbabweans, as I outlined at the UN Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy, cannot be washed away through bombastic responses like the one by Minister Jenfan Muswere.

It is a lie that I violated any bail conditions. That is why there was no inquiry into such a breach as required by law. It is also a lie that I am a “regime change entrepreneur.” Disdaining oppression is not entrepreneurship but the expression of one’s consciousness against evil. It is also a lie that I ever called for sanctions. The ones who called for sanctions are the current regime in Zimbabwe.

They perpetuate evil in the eyes of the world, and the civilized world responds in equal measure.

  • Stop repression against the defenseless people of Zimbabwe.
  • Stop human rights abuses.
  • Stop using lawfare against opponents.
  • Stop recalling our elected representatives from Parliament.
  • Stop abductions and the murder of political opponents, like what happened to Pastor Tapfumaneyi Masaya.
  • Stop propaganda and false accusations against political opponents.
  • Stop sponsoring violence and disruptions against opposition legitimate political activities.
  • Stop disrupting legitimate processes, like what you did during the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Justice, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs during their nationwide consultations on the Private Voluntary Organizations Bill.
  • Stop passing repressive legislation.
  • Stop the distribution of food relief based on political affiliation.
  • Stop issuing threats against envisaged political opponents.
  • Stop using our brothers and sisters in the police to brutalize the masses of our people for no reason.
  • Stop corruption.
  • Stop all the evil against our people.

I stand with the masses of our people to fulfill the wishes of the liberation agenda to bring freedom and happiness to our people.

Anything else is drama.

Mnangagwa Dangerously Wicknells Into Korea

Emmerson Mnangagwa: Economy Lessons from South Korea at the Korea-Africa Summit

By Business Reporter | ZimEye | As Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa attends the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit, there is a unique opportunity to learn from South Korea’s remarkable economic transformation. South Korea, once a war-torn nation, has become an economic powerhouse known for its technological innovation and robust industrial base. In contrast, Zimbabwe struggles with basic production, rampant corruption, and a dependence on imports. To steer Zimbabwe towards sustainable growth, several lessons can be gleaned from South Korea’s experience.

1. Prioritizing Industrialization and Technological Innovation:**
South Korea’s success is largely attributed to its focus on industrialization and technological advancement. The country invested heavily in key industries such as electronics, automotive, and shipbuilding. For Zimbabwe, it is crucial to develop a clear industrial policy that encourages the growth of local industries and reduces dependency on imports. Initiatives could include:
– Incentivizing local production of essential goods and fostering partnerships with international tech firms to transfer knowledge and expertise.

2. Addressing Corruption and Enhancing Governance:**
A significant challenge for Zimbabwe has been corruption, exemplified by figures like Wicknell Chivayo who have misappropriated state funds. South Korea’s crackdown on corruption, especially in the 1990s, played a critical role in creating a more transparent and accountable governance structure. Mnangagwa should implement stringent anti-corruption measures, including:
– Establishing an independent anti-corruption commission with prosecutorial powers.
– Ensuring transparency in government contracts and procurement processes.
– Promoting a culture of accountability by holding officials and business figures accountable for their actions.

*3. Investing in Human Capital:*
South Korea’s investment in education and skills development has been a cornerstone of its economic growth. By prioritizing education, particularly in science and technology, the country created a skilled workforce capable of driving innovation. Zimbabwe should:
– Increase funding for education, focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines.
– Develop vocational training programs aligned with industry needs to bridge the skills gap.
– Collaborate with South Korean educational institutions to create exchange programs and joint research initiatives.

4. Building a Strong Export-Oriented Economy:**
South Korea’s economic strategy involved promoting exports through quality improvement and competitive pricing. Zimbabwe can adopt a similar approach by:
– Identifying and developing competitive advantages in agriculture, mining, and manufacturing.
– Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access international markets.
– Establishing export incentives and reducing barriers to trade.

5. Enhancing Infrastructure Development:**
Modern and efficient infrastructure is crucial for economic development. South Korea’s investments in infrastructure facilitated its industrial growth. Zimbabwe needs to prioritize:
– Upgrading transportation networks, including roads, railways, and ports, to facilitate trade.
– Ensuring reliable energy supply by investing in renewable energy projects and improving the efficiency of existing power plants.
– Developing digital infrastructure to support the growth of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.

6. Promoting Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs):**
South Korea’s economic model leveraged PPPs to drive development. Mnangagwa should encourage collaborations between the government and private sector to finance and implement major projects. This can be achieved by:
– Creating a conducive legal and regulatory framework for PPPs.
– Identifying key sectors for PPP investments, such as infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
– Facilitating dialogue between the government, private sector, and international investors to build trust and cooperation.

The Korea-Africa Summit presents a valuable opportunity for Zimbabwe to learn from South Korea’s economic success. By focusing on industrialization, combating corruption, investing in human capital, promoting exports, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering public-private partnerships, Zimbabwe can embark on a path towards sustainable economic growth. It is imperative for President Mnangagwa to take decisive actions, inspired by South Korea’s experience, to transform Zimbabwe’s economy and improve the lives of its citizens.

Tshabangu Snatches Chamisa Money

Mane Wages Could Be Stumbling Block In Move Back To Europe

Senegal international footballer and one of the best players of the last generation, Sadio Mane, was one of many who exited European football to head to the Saudi Pro League. After an incredibly fruitful spell with Liverpool, Mane moved to Bayern Munich, but things didn’t go exactly as planned. He then signed for Al-Nassr. However, there are now rumours a move back to European football is potentially on the cards.

Mane, 32, at one stage, was undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, wide-left player in world football. At Liverpool, as part of one of the most feared front threes, which included Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah, he racked up 120 goals and 42 assists in just 269 appearances, winning both the Champions League and the Premier League. There was always going to be a time when he moved on, and he headed to Bayern Munich, where his numbers weren’t that bad, as he helped the club to Bundesliga success. Eventually, the Saudi approach came, and Mane joined up with Al-Nassr, the club Cristiano Ronaldo plays for.

Again, Mane has posted impressive numbers, and this helped Al-Nassr to a second-place finish in the Saudi Pro League. But this has only served to alert other clubs to Mane’s ability to score goals and make assists consistently, and there’s a belief he’s still got what it takes to deliver the goods in Europe, which is why clubs have come calling offering the attack a route back to European Champions League football. His future is now being talked about, and it will be interesting to see of the top sports betting sites, which will be the first to open a market on his next club.

One of the clubs rumoured to have registered an interest in Mane, who has been capped by Senegal 97 times and counting, is Girona. They enjoyed a superb season in La Liga, qualifying for the Champions League, and are now looking to add the necessary quality to allow them to give a good account of themselves in Europe’s top club competition. Mane fits the bill, but there is a significant stumbling block, and it would apply to any likely suitors chasing the Al-Nassr man this summer.

Mane signed a big-money contract with the Saudi Pro League side last August, which runs until 2026. So, there are two years left on his current contract, which is said to be worth around £650,000 per week. By comparison, Girona’s top earners are thought to be on in the region of £100,000 per week, a stunning £550,000 per week less. And Mane would undoubtedly expect to be one of the club’s highest earners if he was to head to Spain.

While it would certainly be great to see Mane back in European football, terrorising right-backs, especially if he can get close to the levels he previously showed at Liverpool. However, the move to the Saudi Pro League, which will be the case with many players who made the switch, could make the possibility seemingly impossible because of the financials involved.

Exploring the Anonymity Benefits of Crypto Casinos vs. Traditional Online Casinos

In the ever-evolving world of online gambling, crypto casinos are making a name for themselves by offering an enticing advantage: anonymity. With the rise of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, players now have the option to bet and win without revealing their personal information. This article delves into the anonymity benefits of crypto casinos and compares them to traditional online casinos.

Understanding Anonymity in Online Gambling

Anonymity in online gambling refers to the ability of players to participate in casino games without disclosing their personal information. This is a significant advantage for those who value their privacy and wish to keep their gambling activities discreet. Crypto casinos utilize blockchain technology to provide a decentralized and transparent platform where users can enjoy various casino games with complete privacy.

Benefits of Anonymity in Crypto Casinos

One of the key advantages of anonymity in crypto casinos is the enhanced privacy and security it offers.

Unlike traditional online casinos that require extensive personal data, crypto casinos operate on blockchain technology, allowing you to remain nameless. This added layer of privacy ensures your winnings and transactions are kept confidential. With no identifiable information at stake, you can play easily, knowing your privacy is protected. This prevents potential hackers from accessing sensitive details and safeguards individuals from identity theft. The peace of mind that comes with knowing your personal information is secure is invaluable in the world of online gambling.

Another benefit of anonymity in crypto casinos is its freedom from geographical restrictions. Traditional casinos often have strict regulations and limitations based on location. However, with crypto casinos, you can enjoy the thrill of gambling from anywhere in the world. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access these platforms and play your favorite casino games without restrictions. This opens up a world of possibilities for players who want to experience the excitement of gambling without the limitations imposed by physical casinos.

Anonymity in crypto casinos also plays a crucial role in preventing fraud and scams. Keeping your personal information anonymous reduces the risk of falling victim to identity theft or financial fraud. In traditional online casinos, disclosing personal details can make players vulnerable to scams and fraudulent activities. However, in crypto casinos, the use of blockchain technology ensures transparency and integrity in transactions, making it difficult for scammers to manipulate the system. This level of security and trust is a major advantage for players who value their financial safety.

The anonymity provided by crypto casinos also leads to increased trust and credibility within the gambling community.

With no personal information required, players can feel confident that external parties do not monitor or track their actions. This transparency builds trust between the players and the casino, fostering a positive and reliable gaming environment. By prioritizing anonymity, crypto casinos can establish a strong reputation and attract a loyal player base who value their privacy above all else.

Anonymity in crypto casinos extends beyond just the gambling experience. It also encompasses transactional and financial activities.

When using traditional payment methods in online casinos, players are often required to provide personal banking information, which can cause concern. However, in crypto casinos, transactions are conducted using cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are decentralized and provide an additional layer of anonymity. This ensures that your financial activities remain private and separate from your personal identity. The ability to engage in secure and anonymous financial transactions adds to the overall appeal of crypto casinos.

Benefits of Traditional Online Casinos

While crypto casinos provide anonymity benefits, traditional online casinos also offer their own set of advantages. One of the key benefits of traditional online casinos is convenience. These platforms are easily accessible from any device with an internet connection, allowing players to enjoy their favorite casino games anytime and anywhere. Additionally, traditional online casinos often offer a wider variety of games than crypto casinos, catering to different preferences and gaming styles.

Another advantage of traditional online casinos is the availability of customer support. These platforms typically have dedicated customer service teams that can assist players with any issues or queries they may have. This provides peace of mind to players who value prompt assistance and want to ensure a smooth gaming experience.

Security and Privacy in Crypto Casinos

Security and privacy are paramount in the world of online gambling, and crypto casinos excel in this aspect. As mentioned earlier, the use of blockchain technology ensures that transactions are securely recorded and cannot be tampered with. This adds an extra layer of security and trust to the gambling experience. Additionally, since personal information is not required to participate in crypto casinos, players are protected from potential data breaches and identity theft.

Security and Privacy in Traditional Online Casinos

While traditional online casinos implement security measures to protect players’ personal information, there is still a level of risk involved. Centralized storage of personal data makes these platforms vulnerable to hacking attempts, raising concerns about the security and privacy of players’ information. Despite efforts to safeguard user data, there have been instances of data breaches in the past, compromising players’ trust.

Comparison of Transactional Transparency in Crypto Casinos and Traditional Online Casinos

Regarding transactional transparency, crypto casinos have a clear advantage over traditional online casinos.

The use of blockchain technology ensures that all transactions are recorded and can be verified by anyone on the blockchain network. This transparency eliminates doubts about games’ fairness and builds players’ trust. On the other hand, traditional online casinos often lack the same level of transparency, leaving players with no way to verify the integrity of the games they are playing independently.

Legal Considerations and Regulations for Crypto Casinos and Traditional Online Casinos

As the popularity of crypto casinos continues to grow, legal considerations and regulations become increasingly relevant. The regulatory landscape for crypto casinos varies across different jurisdictions. Some countries have embraced cryptocurrencies and have established clear regulations, while others have implemented restrictions or are yet to define their stance.

On the other hand, traditional online casinos are subject to specific gambling regulations and licensing requirements in their jurisdictions. These regulations aim to protect players and ensure fair play. However, the legal framework for traditional online casinos is more established than crypto casinos.

The anonymity benefits of crypto casinos have reshaped the online gambling industry, offering players a secure and private platform to enjoy their favorite casino games.

By utilizing blockchain technology, these platforms ensure transparency and fairness while protecting players’ personal information. However, traditional online casinos still provide convenience, a wider variety of games, and established customer support systems. As the industry continues to evolve, it is crucial to consider the advantages and disadvantages of crypto and traditional online casinos to make an informed choice when engaging in online gambling.

Real Madrid Win 15th UEFA Title

Mnangagwa’s Empty Promises Continue

Security Analysis Report: Potential for Chaos Following Jacob Zuma’s Threats on Election Results

The political atmosphere in South Africa has been significantly charged following the recent national and provincial elections. Former President Jacob Zuma, now the leader of the MK party, has issued subtle threats suggesting potential chaos if the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) announces the final election results on Sunday. This report aims to analyze the possibilities of such chaos, the implications, and the profile of Jacob Zuma, focusing on why his threats are a concern.

Jacob Zuma: A Brief ProfileJacob Zuma served as the President of South Africa from 2009 to 2018. His tenure was marked by numerous controversies, including allegations of corruption, which eventually led to his resignation. Zuma’s presidency was characterized by significant political turmoil, economic challenges, and social unrest.

Political Influence: Zuma remains a significant political figure in South Africa, especially among certain factions of the African National Congress (ANC) and his newly formed MK party. His influence stems from his strong grassroots connections and support within the Zulu ethnic group and various other loyalists.

Legal Troubles: Zuma has been involved in several high-profile legal battles, most notably related to corruption charges involving the Gupta family and the controversial arms deal. His legal issues have kept him in the public eye and have been a source of both sympathy and criticism among the populace.

Controversial Statements: Zuma has a history of making provocative statements that resonate with his base but often raise concerns among broader audiences. His recent threats regarding the election results declaration are consistent with his past behavior, where he has leveraged his influence to challenge the establishment.

1. Nature of Threats.

Zuma has warned the IEC against declaring the election results, citing alleged discrepancies and arrests related to electoral malpractices. He has suggested that any premature declaration could provoke unrest.

2. Historical Context of Unrest.

South Africa has experienced significant political unrest in the past, often sparked by controversial political decisions or actions by prominent figures. The country has a history of protests and violence, particularly when political tensions are high. Zuma’s call to delay the results could mobilize his supporters to engage in protests, potentially leading to clashes with security forces and rival political factions.

3. Support Base Mobilization.

Zuma’s loyal supporters, particularly from regions like KwaZulu-Natal, could respond to his call for action. His influence among the youth and marginalized communities, who feel disillusioned with the current political and economic conditions, could lead to widespread demonstrations.

4. Impact on Stability.

Political Instability: Protests and potential violence could destabilize the political environment, undermining the credibility of the IEC and the electoral process. This could lead to a prolonged period of uncertainty and governance challenges.

Economic Consequences: Political unrest typically disrupts economic activities, deterring investment and slowing economic growth. Given South Africa’s existing economic challenges, further instability could exacerbate issues like unemployment and poverty.Social Unrest: Ethnic and factional divisions could be inflamed, leading to broader social unrest. Zuma’s support among specific ethnic groups could lead to inter-community conflicts.

Recommendations.

Enhanced Security Measures: The government and security agencies should enhance security around key areas, especially the National Results Operations Centre. Proactive measures to prevent violence and protect citizens are crucial.Dialogue and Mediation: Engaging with Zuma and other key political figures to address their concerns through dialogue rather than confrontation could help de-escalate tensions.

Public Communication: The IEC and government should maintain transparent and consistent communication with the public to reinforce the integrity of the electoral process and the steps taken to address any irregularities.Monitoring and Preparedness: Continuous monitoring of social media and other communication channels to detect early signs of mobilization and unrest, coupled with a rapid response strategy, is essential.

Jacob Zuma’s recent threats pose a significant risk to South Africa’s political stability. His ability to mobilize supporters and the historical context of political unrest in the country necessitate careful handling of the situation. By adopting a multi-faceted approach that includes enhanced security, dialogue, and transparent communication, the government can mitigate the risks and ensure a peaceful conclusion to the electoral process.- ZimEye

DA Wins 75% Total Votes From Diaspora

Democratic Alliance Secures 75% of Diaspora Votes in South Africa’s General Election.

By Lesley K Dube | In a remarkable victory, the Democratic Alliance (DA) has captured 75.3% of the diaspora votes in South Africa’s general election. This overwhelming support from South Africans abroad underscores the DA’s strong presence and appeal among expatriates.

The Electoral Commission of South Africa confirmed that 100% of the international votes have been counted. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) received 4.4% of the diaspora votes, while the African National Congress (ANC) garnered 3.92%.

A total of 58,802 South Africans living abroad were registered to vote in this election. However, the voter turnout was 67%, with 39,116 votes cast, of which 32 were spoilt ballots. The highest number of votes came from South Africans residing in the United Kingdom, reflecting a significant expatriate community’s engagement in the electoral process.

DA leader John Steenhuisen commented on the results, stating, “We are not ruling anything out, but our first loyalty is to the multiparty charter.” This sentiment reflects the DA’s commitment to building broad-based coalitions to drive governance and policy.

National Vote Count Nears Completion

On the domestic front, vote counting has surpassed the 90% mark nationwide, with only the Northern Cape having completed its official count and verification. Out of 21,000 polling stations that have confirmed their ballot counts, the ANC leads with 41.03% of the national vote. This represents a significant decline of 16% from the 2019 elections.

In the Northern Cape, the ANC secured nearly 50% of the vote. Despite the overall results, the ANC is set to remain the leading party in seven out of nine provinces. However, in critical regions like Gauteng, the ANC will need to form coalitions to establish a governing majority.

In KwaZulu-Natal, the MK Party is projected to become the largest party with 45.5% of the vote. Meanwhile, the DA is expected to retain control of the Western Cape with just over 53%, as counting in the province nears completion.

These results highlight the shifting political landscape in South Africa, with the DA’s strong performance abroad and the need for coalition governments becoming increasingly apparent at home. The final stages of vote counting and verification will determine the precise makeup of the new government and its capacity to address the diverse needs of the South African electorate.

Breaking News: Tshabangu Faction of CCC to Receive Political Party Funds, Confirms Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi

Harare, Zimbabwe – By A Correspondent | Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi has confirmed that the political party funds will be disbursed to the Tshabangu faction of the Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC), ending weeks of speculation and delay.

ZIYAMBI ZIYAMBI
MINISTER ZIYAMBI ZIYAMBI

Confirmation of Funds Disbursement

“There were delays in disbursing the funds because the Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Professor Mthuli Ncube, was not available,” Ziyambi explained to The Sunday Mail. “Once the processes have been completed, we will disburse the funds soon. The recipient of the funds was determined in Parliament, and it is the opposition faction with the majority of members in Parliament.”

Parliamentary Decision

The decision to disburse the funds to the Tshabangu faction comes after Speaker of the National Assembly Advocate Jacob Mudenda declared Tshabangu as the leader of the opposition in Parliament. This declaration followed the rescinding of appointments of CCC legislators to various parliamentary committees, which Mudenda attributed to their secondment by Mr. Timba.

Context and Implications

Under the Political Parties (Finance) Act, only the ruling party Zanu-PF and the Citizen Coalition for Change qualify to receive a share of the political party funding. The confirmation that the funds will go to the Tshabangu faction underscores the internal divisions within the CCC and highlights the faction’s parliamentary strength.

The allocation of funds is crucial for the operational capabilities of political parties, impacting their ability to campaign, organize, and engage with constituents. The decision to fund the Tshabangu faction reflects the current power dynamics within the opposition, potentially influencing future political strategies and alliances.

Reactions and Future Outlook

This development is likely to spark further discussion and analysis within Zimbabwe’s political landscape. The disbursement of funds will not only bolster the Tshabangu faction’s resources but also cement its position as the recognized opposition in Parliament. Observers will be closely watching how this faction utilizes the funds and the subsequent reactions from other political players within the CCC and beyond.

As the political scene continues to evolve, the focus will now shift to the implementation of this decision and its effects on the broader opposition strategy against the ruling Zanu-PF party.

Stay tuned for more updates and in-depth analysis of this developing story.

Zemura Available For Selection

Italian side Udinese has confirmed Jordan Zemura’s availability for the Warriors’ 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Group C games against Lesotho and South Africa in June.

Zemura’s availability was shrouded in uncertainty after media reports suggested a rift between him and ZIFA.

The reported rift came after the player allegedly expressed unhappiness with treatment from former interim coach Norman Mapeza.

Earlier suggestions had indicated that ZIFA wasn’t going to include the player in the squad.

But after he was named in the selection for the upcoming games, Zemura’s club has now confirmed his availability.

RIGGING CLAIMS: Zuma Threatens Electoral Officials With Trouble If They Declare Results On Sunday

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | South African President Jacob Zuma, now the leader of the recently formed MK party, has issued a stark warning to officials of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC). Speaking late Saturday, Zuma cautioned the IEC against declaring the results of the latest election on Sunday, asserting that the outcomes are flawed and should not be finalized prematurely.

Zuma’s statements came amid tensions following the MK party’s placement as the third in the latest electoral standings. He expressed dissatisfaction with the results, suggesting that his party deserved a larger share of the votes. In his announcement, Zuma said:

“Nobody must force us to say now this is what are the results for the results are not correct. I think the institutions must satisfy us, that they did look into the issues; the first time ever since Freedom we had people arrested doing wrong things, first time, I am sure we all know that people got arrested, you don’t know? You are not Journalists then, you are something else. Journalists must know everything. Don’t you know? Huh? Yes! We are going to need the time nobody must declare tomorrow; no. If that happens, people will be provoking us because we know what we are talking about. We are not guessing, we know and why should they write to count? And I’m hoping whoever is responsible is hearing what we are saying: don’t start trouble when there is no trouble.”

Zuma’s heated rhetoric has raised concerns about potential unrest if the IEC proceeds with the announcement. His claims that irregularities were detected, and arrests made during the electoral process, have yet to be substantiated with specific evidence. Nevertheless, his statements have already stirred significant controversy.

The IEC, responsible for ensuring free and fair elections, has not yet responded to Zuma’s threats. The commission faces the challenging task of balancing transparency and accuracy with the urgent need to maintain public order.

As of Saturday evening, the results reflect a significant shift in the political landscape. The African National Congress (ANC) leads with 40.19% of the votes, translating to 6,444,202 votes. The Democratic Alliance (DA) follows with 21.80%, amounting to 3,494,750 votes. The newly formed MK party, led by Zuma, has secured 14.58% of the votes, which totals 2,338,381 votes [❞] [❞] [❞].

These results indicate a challenging outcome for the ANC, which has historically dominated South African politics. The substantial support for the MK party reflects significant political realignment and voter sentiment. However, these results are not without controversy, as Jacob Zuma has publicly disputed the fairness of the election process and has warned against prematurely declaring the final results [❞].

The IEC has acknowledged receiving numerous objections and has ordered recounts in several instances. They plan to finalize and announce the results officially on Sunday, with President Cyril Ramaphosa expected to address the nation during the

As the situation unfolds, the country watches closely, bracing for potential repercussions. The implications of Zuma’s threats could be far-reaching, potentially undermining the integrity of the electoral process and inciting further political instability.- ZimEye
